Trump Opens Up an Eighteen Point Lead in Iowa, a State Obama Won

Happy Nineteenth of June. I have proclaimed today a special holiday, which I call "Humpteenth."

Iowa wasn't and isn't a blue state, but Obama did win it. Twice. Even in 2012, after everyone understood that he was an incompetent empty-suit DEI hire.

So it was gettable.

Iowa is no longer gettable for Democrats.

Former President Trump holds an 18-point lead over President Biden in Iowa, according to a new poll in a one-time crucial general election battleground state that's shifted to the right over the past decade.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, stands at 50% with Biden at 32% among likely voters in a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll released on Monday.

Democrat turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who says he's qualified to make Iowa's ballot, grabbed 9% support, with Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver at 3%, and 3% backing other candidates, according to the survey.

Iowa was a one-time swing state, which former President Barack Obama carried in the 2008 and 2012 elections. But Trump won the state by 9 points over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016 in his White House victory and by 8 points over Biden four years ago in his re-election defeat.

I mentioned last week that Kathleen Parker (who?) had proposed swapping out liability Kamala Harris for Super-Popular Hillary Clinton. She suggested this because people know Biden is cognitively impaired and getting worse every day, and would feel "reassured" if a charismatic, ethical super-genius with a long, long list of real accomplishments were appointed to succeed Biden when he dies in the next couple of years.

But they didn't have anyone like that, so Kathleen Parker suggested Hillary Clinton instead.

The left is pretending that this is all a Cheap Fake by Fox News.

Nope, it's a scheme by a real card-carrying batty Karen Liberal as published in the ultra-woke Washington Post.

Depopulation

No, not some WEF scheme or diabolical plan from the rest of the global elite. They want depopulation, of course, but they are not the architects of reality. As usual with the plans of our betters, it won't pan out the way they envision. We are getting depopulation right now, with no end in sight and it isn't unfolding according to some grand plan. It is now so obvious, however, and such a huge topic of worry that places further along the curve than we are have "Depopulation" as a coverage category in the newspaper.

That example from Japan (from the English-language "Japan Times" paper) is focused on Japan, of course, but includes coverage about population declines from across Asia. A few articles a week usually pop up under the "Depopulation" tag. Demographic trends. Similar issues in other countries. The continuing decline in rural population. What to do with abandoned houses. What can be done to reverse the baby bust. What are foreigners doing about it?

Is that you have a lot of fearmongering.”

Jayapal responded, “Exactly, that’s part of the problem. Exactly. And we know that when people have economic insecurity, when they’re facing high childcare costs, when they’re facing high housing costs, they are concerned for themselves. And so, anybody who comes into a space of that economic insecurity and says, hey, why are these people getting something that you’re not getting? It does turn people against those people, whether they agree or don’t agree that they have — that they’re helping the country. The economics of immigration are absolutely, you can’t argue with it. We have brought in so much money through immigration, and the surge in immigration has already brought in so much money and will continue to do so.”

I'm surprised this filthy frog-mouthed commie didn't just declare all reports about illegal aliens murdering and raping their way north from the Rio Grande as Misinformation, disinformation or Israeli propaganda. Typical in that she and her ilk unleash hell on earth then blame the victims for daring to notice it. And its her and her fellow Democrat core constituencies that have had it up to here with it just like the rest of us normal Americans, and its not going to help them come November. Along with the disaster that is the crashing economy they too took a hammer and sickle to.

On a completely different note, I note with a great deal of sadness the passing of Wille Mays, a legendary baseball player and a truly great American, someone who was the embodiment of the American dream. I will always admire and love him for returning to NYC to join my miracle Mets during their improbable run 51 years ago at the pennant and then falling short in the series against the Oakland A's.

When you compare and contrast his attitude and character with far too many of today's pro athletes, the latter can't hold a candle. And in today's hyper politicized culture wars that have destroyed any joy in life, especially sports where the ideals of excellence and hard work have been derided as racist relics of an illegitimate nation and society, the passing of Mays into history is even more poignant as a reminder of what else has been lost and on the verge of being lost perhaps forever.

Christopher Rufo: Biden Has Dispatched The Secret Police of the FBI to Harass and Intimidate Whistleblowers Who Expose Hospitals Illegally Performing Trans Surgeries on Children

And the FBI, of course, is only too eager to play the role of the American Stasi.

The allegation brought forward by whistleblowers is that some trans doctors are defrauding Medicaid by falsifying eligibility for trans "therapy."

Rather than investigate the substance of these allegations, the FBI is intimidating the whistleblowers.

Again.

The "gender-affirming care" business has always had an aura of madness around it. Wielding the authority of white coats and prestigious degrees, doctors have convinced large swaths of the public that some children are "born in the wrong body." The solution? Stop puberty, prescribe cross-sex hormones, and then, with the stroke of a knife, remove body parts--most commonly breasts, less frequently genitalia.

These medical practices use scientific rhetoric to affirm what is, at bottom, an ideological program. And gender activists have been successful enough at capturing the legitimizing institutions--medical societies, regulatory bodies, and teaching hospitals--to repel most challenges to the burgeoning child sex-change industry.

I have reported on one of these programs, the pediatric gender clinic at Texas Children's Hospital. Last year, I published an investigation demonstrating that, though it had promised to shut down its program, Texas Children's had continued to administer hormone drugs to children as young as 11. Following the story, the state attorney general launched an investigation, and state legislators passed a bill, SB 14, prohibiting all transgender medical interventions on minors.

While these scandals caught the headlines, another story involving the same institution was brewing in the background: medical fraud.

According to a new whistleblower, doctors at Texas Children's Hospital were willing to falsify medical records and break the law to keep practicing "gender-affirming care." Caught in the wave of ideological fervor, two of the hospital's prominent physicians, Richard Ogden Roberts and David Paul, cut corners and, according to the whistleblower, committed Medicaid fraud to secure funds for the hospital's child sex-change program.

(Texas Children's Hospital, Roberts, and Paul did not respond to a request for comment.)

This is a story of fanaticism, hubris, and the murky business of transgender medicine. It would have remained hidden, except for the courage of two people inside the hospital, a surgeon named Eithan Haim and a nurse who has now decided to come forward. Both have risked much to alert the public to the barbarism that is occurring at the nation's largest, and arguably most prestigious, children's hospital.

Some years ago, Vanessa Sivadge thought she had it made, having just accepted a position as a registered nurse at Texas Children's Hospital. She had wanted to be a nurse since high school and felt a sense of joy in helping children.

But her feelings toward Texas Children's didn't last. Beginning in 2021, Sivadge saw a dramatic rise in the number of "transgender children" treated at the hospital. These patients struggled with various problems: depression, anxiety, addiction, suicide attempts, physical abuse, and discomfort with puberty. But rather than deal with these underlying psychological conditions, Sivadge says, doctors at the hospital would diagnose them with "gender dysphoria" and assign them to a regimen of "gender-affirming care."

The practice made Sivadge recoil. "In the cardiac clinic, we were taking sick kids and making them better," she says. "In the transgender clinic, it was the opposite. We were harming these kids."

Then, the following year, she breathed a sigh of relief. Under pressure from the state attorney general, Ken Paxton, Texas Children's CEO Mark Wallace said that he was shutting down the child gender clinic. But it wasn't true. Mere days later, it had secretly reopened for business.

And business was booming. Doctors, including Roberts, Paul, and Kristy Rialon, were managing dozens of pediatric sex-change cases, performing surgeries, blocking puberty, implanting hormone devices, and making specialty referrals. They were motivated not only by ideology, but by hope for prestige: they were saviors of the oppressed, the vanguard of gender medicine.

Sivadge soon had seen enough. She read my investigative report exposing Texas Children's sex-change program, which relied on testimony from Haim, and reached out to share her own observations.

"I work very closely with this provider, Dr. Richard Roberts. I've been in the room with him when he speaks with these patients," she told me in an interview. "Dr. Roberts is extremely encouraging of their transition and will essentially do whatever he can to make sure that they are happy, at least externally happy. Because I am absolutely certain that they are not internally happy. He is very accommodating. He does whatever they want. Essentially, there is no critical analysis of the process."

In Sivadge's view, Roberts and other providers were manipulating patients into accepting "gender-affirming care." When parents objected, the doctors bulldozed them, she claims. Some families, she believed, feared that the hospital would call Child Protective Services if they dissented.

Then, two months after I spoke with her for that story, Sivadge called me in a panic. The FBI had sent two special agents, Paul Nixon and David McBride, to her home. The agents knocked on the door, asked her about "some of the things that have been going on at [her] work lately," and then asked to enter her home. She was terrified. (The FBI declined to comment.)

The agents told Sivadge that she was a "person of interest" in an investigation targeting the whistleblower who had exposed the child sex-change program. They told her that the whistleblower had broken federal privacy laws. "They threatened me," Sivadge said. "They promised they would make life difficult for me if I was trying to protect the leaker. They said I was 'not safe' at work and claimed that someone at my workplace had given my name to the FBI."

The Washington Post Writes a Hit Piece on Its Own Incoming Editor

Washington Post publisher Will Lewis told the "newspaper's" staffers that the operation was losing huge amounts of money, and losing readership as well.

Jeff Bezos has previously claimed he didn't care how much money the Post lost -- he was just all about Quality Journalism. I guess he said that as a virtue signal, but didn't expect to lose $70 million in one year and tens of millions of dollars every year.

I would also imagine that these deep-pocketed Billionaire Hobbyist Media Magnates don't mind losing hundreds of millions of dollars if it buys them prestige and influence.

But the Post is losing prestige and influence. It's losing readers, no one takes it seriously. It's a a woke Joke.

The publisher promised that he would make changes to make the paper profitable. The "journalists" at the Post don't like that. They're like the former employees of the OFC coffee shops (which I'll discuss in the next post) -- they don't care if the owners of the business lose money, they just want their paychecks guaranteed forever, because they're Social Justice Warriors proving a greater service to humanity by simply existing and consuming.

The publisher also talked about quarantining the "service and social" reporters -- the woke activists posing as "reporters" -- into their own little ghetto.

Those activists almost certainly took that as an indication that they would see a lot of pinkslips coming their way, because that's exactly what will happen. You don't quarantine a healthy, productive section of your company. You quarantine the basket-cases.

The Post's staffers shrieked and screamed that Sally Buzbee, the former editor in chief, was to be replaced by -- gasp! -- a white man. And he's bringing in three other white men (spit!) to help him manage the unprofitable joke newspaper.

The activists repeatedly demanded that the publisher seek out "diverse" candidates for these positions.

I mention this background because it's critical to understanding why the Post is running a hit piece on their own editor-in-chief: Because they intended to drive him out, to embarrass Jeff Bezos into firing him.

Welcome to the Washington Post #Resistance -- similar in spirit and politics to the #Resistance in the federal government to Trump.

And similarly determined to drive the man selected to lead them out of his office.

The current E-i-C, Sally Buzbee -- the one fired in favor of Winnett -- approved this hit-piece on the man taking over her job.

Robert Winnett, the incoming editor, got a blast of American journalism late Sunday night in the form of a lengthy investigative report critical of his previous work. That story was published by the Washington Post. The Post even tagged itself in the headline.

The backyard goodbye party for Sally Buzbee, the recently departed executive editor of The Washington Post, was beginning to break up on Sunday evening when the newspaper published a critical investigation into her permanent successor.

The headline: "Incoming Post editor tied to self-described 'thief' who claimed role in his reporting."

The article focused on Robert Winnett, the British journalist poised to take over The Post's newsroom in November, and revealed his links to a private eye who used unethical media practices to land big exclusives. It noted that Mr. Winnett had declined to comment to The Post's reporters -- the same ones he will be managing in a few months.

I'll sum up the details of the hit piece, because the details aren't important: Winnett, while working in the UK, used stories by a shady reporter who used deceit, and maybe even phone hacking (if you remember that scandal) to get stories. The hit-piece is wondering whether Winnett did enough to instruct his reporters on journalistic ethics -- and you know, Washington Post "journalists" are all about journalistic ethics -- and whether he maybe he encouraged the bad behavior.

Like I said, the details are not important. What is important is that these charges date from 15 years ago and no one has had much interest in "resurfacing" them -- until now.

It's not like Winnett hasn't been working in journalism all this time. He didn't retire from journalism and just jump back into it.

This story was old and dead.

But Washington Post reporters now "resurface" it to try to pressure Bezos into firing him.

To save their own phoney-baloney jobs, and preserve their right to continue treating journalism as just a shabby way to Conduct Politics by Other Means.

What is important is that this is open insubordination by The Washington Post staff, attempting to drive out the incoming editor-in-chief exactly as the DC Permanent Bureaucracy and Deep State attempted to drive Trump out of office.

Washington Post staffers think they own the paper just like Deep State bureaucrats think they own the federal government -- and America itself.

I'm curious to see whether Bezos bends to this mob, and whether Winnett, once installed, takes action against the Insurrectionists.

So far, Bezos says he supports Winnett even in the face of what The Hill calls "backlash" by the staff.

Jeff Bezos is backing the new CEO of The Washington Post and the editor he chose to lead its newsroom amid widespread internal backlash among staff over the two hires.

Bezos, the billionaire tech mogul who has owned the Post since 2013, wrote to top editors on Tuesday expressing support for CEO Will Lewis and his strategy for leading the company into the coming election.

"I know you've already heard this from Will, but I wanted to also weigh in directly: the journalistic standards and ethics at The Post will not change," Bezos wrote in his note, which was obtained by The Hill. "To be sure, it can't be business as usual at The Post. The world is evolving rapidly and we do need to change as a business."

Lewis is facing widespread backlash following reports that he ousted former executive editor Sally Buzbee over a planned reorganization and criticism over scandals involving his actions at previous jobs that have been reported by his own newsroom.

We'll see if this weak, woke-adulation-seeking billionaire stands firm or capitulates to the woke mob. You know which way I'm betting.

I was writing this up for the usual 6:30 slot but it's time to post again and I've got nothing else, so:

House Republicans will probe whether or not the Biden White House retaliated against the IRS whistleblowers who cried foul on the plot to let all of the charges against Hunter Biden expire, or cover them up in a sham "plea agreement."

House Republicans are intensifying their scrutiny over the handling of IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who claimed political interference in the Department of Justice's investigation of Hunter Biden. The whistleblowers assert that they were removed from the case shortly after they reported concerns to Congress, including alleged preferential treatment toward Hunter Biden and potentially false testimony by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The issue has caught the attention of high-ranking Republicans, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and the chairmen of key committees, who have united in their call for transparency and accountability from the Office of Special Counsel (OSC). They argue that the whistleblowers performed their duties honorably by reporting wrongdoing and making legally protected disclosures, yet they faced retaliation instead of protection.

Twenty-four Republican state Attorneys General are challenging Jack Smith's demand for a gag order on Trump in his political witch-hunt, calling it, understatedly, "presumptively unconstitutional."

Led by Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird, the group emphasizes that free and fair elections depend on candidates being able to speak freely about important issues. "Attempts to stop a candidate from speaking out harm more than just the candidate. They also hurt the voters, who are denied access to crucial information, and the States, which are responsible for managing elections," the brief stated.

The request from Special Counsel Smith, filed last month, sought to prohibit Trump from making statements that could pose "a significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents participating in the investigation and prosecution of this case." This followed Trump's claims that FBI agents were "locked & loaded ready to take me out & put my family in danger." Prosecutors argued that Trump's remarks were "grossly misleading" and referred to standard FBI protocols.

The attorneys general counter that Smith's motion asks the court "to curtail that right by ordering a prior restraint on President Trump's constitutionally protected speech. Such an order is presumptively unconstitutional." They assert that preventing Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, from speaking about his prosecution would undermine the electoral process.

Another judge has blocked Biden's lawless rewrite of Title IX from taking effect, in six more states.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves blocked the implementation of an expanded Title IX rule in six states. This rule, set to take effect on August 1, 2024, was designed to extend protections to LGBT students by outlawing discrimination based on gender identity. The block affects Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The ruling came in response to a lawsuit filed by Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, which argued that the Department of Education (ED) had exceeded its authority. The complaint highlighted concerns that the ED's new rule unlawfully broadens the scope of Title IX, which was originally enacted in 1972 to prevent sex-based discrimination in federally funded education programs.

Judge Reeves supported this viewpoint in his decision, stating that the rule's redefinition of 'sex' to include gender identity contradicts the original text of Title IX and infringes upon government employees' First Amendment rights. He further criticized the rulemaking process as "arbitrary and capricious."

This follows April's report showing foreign-born workers increased from 30,482,000 to 30,896,000, while native-born workers decreased from 131,108,000 to 130,445,000.

Biden is also implementing his fake deportation policy which, even if it's enforced -- and it hasn't been invoked yet -- would still permit nearly a million illegals to squat in the country. And that's just the ones we know about.

Despite these measures, the number of crossings could still reach historic highs. For instance, if migration is limited to 2,500 per day for a full year, the number would hit 912,500. Additionally, hundreds of thousands more migrants have been allowed into the US using the CBP One app, with CBS News reporting that 450,000 migrants gained admission in the 13 months since the program's January 2023 launch. Biden has also brought in roughly 400,000 more migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela through a mass parole scheme.

Internal data obtained by Fox News reveals that ICE's non-detained docket has surged to 7.4 million cases in 2024, highlighting severe operational challenges and staff shortages.

Victor Hernandez may be the new poster child for Joe Biden's open border policies. Not only was he already wanted for assaulting and murdering another woman in his home country, but he has been additionally charged with assaulting a 9-year-old girl and her mother in Los Angeles in March of this year. Former Biden Appointee Arrested for Making a Jussie Smollett Style "Racist Threat" Against Himself

Racism is so common in this country that the people who grift on racism are forced to invent it themselves.

I'm not going to use the word "alleged" here. This racial arsonist was stupid enough to use his own credit card to sign up for accounts from which he sent himself racist messages.

And the messages are racist, but not in the way he means you to take them -- they're a false-flag attempt to stir racial divisions and provoke low impulse control thugs to attack and kill white people.

Taral Patel, a Democratic candidate for a county commissioner seat in Texas and former Biden White House appointee, has been arrested for allegedly using a fake social media account to post racist comments about himself. This incident draws parallels to the infamous Jussie Smollett case, where the actor staged a hate crime against himself.

No, it's an actual hate crime against white people which took the form of a fake hate crime against himself.

Taral Patel, 30, running for county commissioner in Fort Bend County Precinct 3, was arrested for online impersonation after allegedly creating a dummy social media account to post racist comments targeting himself. He faces a felony charge for online impersonation and a misdemeanor charge for misrepresentation of identity.

The investigation was initiated by Patel's opponent, incumbent Andy Meyers, after Patel claimed to be the victim of a racist smear campaign. Authorities traced the fake account back to Patel, uncovering connections to his address, phone number, and bank card information.

These people are scumbags and they need to start going to jail for five years or more. As many have said, if we are to take "hate crimes" as the most monstrous of all crimes deserving the harshest of penalties, then we must likewise take fake hate crimes as the most monstrous of crimes deserving the harshest of penalties.

We cannot continue where people could go to jail for ten years for an alleged hate crime and, when it's exposed as a hoax, the hoaxer who attempted to send someone to prison on a lie is let off with no penalty.

They're not fake in any way, of course. The White House has created this knock-off term "cheap fakes" to rhyme with "deep fakes" to suggest to their audience of literal imbeciles that these videos are CGI fakes.

This is obviously complete disinformation.

The social media monopolies should ban this disinformation.

But no, Latrine John-Pissoir is pushing this disinformation, claiming that the videos are deep fakes, to get their social media allies to ban all videos showing Biden freezing or wandering or tripping or falling.

The list goes on and on. Gates. Pritzker. Kaiser. Goldman Sachs. Sadly, some of the worst offenders are religious charities. Many Catholic charities are heavily invested in crashing the southern border, and There are many leftist Jewish charities that fund all manner of progressive insanity.

But for the big bucks...look to the old corporate charities! But where do they get their money? From other corporations of course! Sure, some are self-funding with oceans of seed money, but there is also a revolving door of funds. Ford gives to MacArthur which gives to Gates which gives to Bezos Earth Fund (hah!). And then it gets murky. How much of that money ultimately ends up in the pockets of Antifa or BLM thugs or Pally suicide bombers is anyone's guess, but the question is how much, not if.

The idea of corporations being able to donate money to charitable causes seems benign, but it obviously isn't. Perhaps a return to the first principles of business is in order. Stop all extraneous spending, and return all profits to the business or to the investors. Let them make the decision of where their charity goes!

And that is a pipe dream...but a fella can hope!

A Secret Service agent was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in Tustin, California, while off-duty during President Joe Biden’s campaign stop with former President Barack Obama and some celebrities.
CBS News reported that the off-duty agent’s bag was stolen “Saturday night at about 9:30 p.m.”
The agent was able to draw his own gun and fire at the alleged robber, but it is unknown if the suspect was hit. The alleged robber managed to escape. . .

California has more gun control than any state in the Union. Those controls include universal background checks, a red flag law, a ten-day waiting period on gun purchases, firearm registration requirements, an “assault weapons” ban, a ban on carrying concealed for self-defense on college campuses, a ban on teachers being armed in K-12 schools for self-defense, a limit on the number of guns law-abiding citizens can buy in a given month, and controls on ammunition as well.
Despite these gun controls, California led the nation in “active shooter incidents” in 2021.

On top of the epic failure that is gun control to supposedly control crimes and violence, we have a wide open border where criminality on every level is flooding in on top of the intentional decriminalization of crime itself via with the defund the police and decarceration movements.
No wonder, the remaining normal relatively sane Californians are fleeing in droves.

Can any of us truly escape the nightmare we find ourselves in.

The oil industry is American, and as much as it exists around the world in places like Venezuela and the Middle East, it is because Americans led the way.

Oil, as a global commodity, is American, thoroughly utterly American, and as such is traded globally in U.S. dollars, as it should be. Until now.
Here’s an analogy to understand the currency of oil trades: You are on vacation in a foreign country and want to purchase something. The seller tells you in English, because everyone seems to speak English, it costs NNN pesos, euro, Canadian, etc. But if you have $20 cash, it’s a deal. It saves you a monetary conversion. It is even a better deal. It is a win for you and for the seller. In a small way, it is a “win” for America as the American dollar replaces the local currency. In that tiny, $20 transaction, buying a trinket for mom from a street vendor, America won. . .

Biden wants to forgo the oil industry and replace it with the Chinese green industry for something climate change existential crisis … as he himself would say “you know, the thing.” It is only a matter of time until America is hooked on Chinese green the way Americans are poisoned by Chinese fentanyl, and then China asks us to convert our currency to theirs for ongoing purchases. As America built the Saudi and Russian oil industries, we are now building the Chinese green industry.

This from the same people who will tell us “America First” is a form of hate speech.

Meanwhile, Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants is all set to completely drain our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to artificially keep gas prices from spiking right before the election.

“The Biden-Harris Administration is laser-focused on lowering prices at the pump for American families, especially as drivers hit the road for summer driving season,” Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm said in May.
The government spending money to buy oil and then release it (while blocking domestic drilling) isn’t actually saving American families money.
It’s a bait and switch. And here comes the big one.
President Joe Biden is prepared to release more oil from the country’s strategic reserves if gas prices increase during the summer.
“We will do everything we can to make sure that the market is supplied well enough to ensure as low [a] price as possible for American consumers,” Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security Amos Hochstein told the Financial Times. “I think that we have enough in the SPR if it’s necessary.”
