I just received notice that I am suspended through the entire fall semester for my participation in the first Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia. Admin silently went back on their own deal with students in which they agreed to reverse our mass suspensions due to the outrage.

As part of my appeal, I submitted my Common Application essay to show that I have been transparent from the very start about my commitment to Palestinian liberation and organizing -- they knew who they admitted when they accepted me. This was the response I received.

Letter omitted; it's Columbia saying they loved the "pain and passion" she wrote about in her admission essay. They basically admitted her only because she was a leftwing activist.

As she herself admits:

The reality of these elite institutions is that they love admitting students based on their supposed commitment to activism and social justice until those students actually follow through in ways that threaten the status quo and the institutional priorities.

In other words, you don't deserve to be there, and neither do your Didn't Earn It ilk.

Columbia loves to flaunt its legacy of student protest. Barnard's entire purported mission is to uplift women's voices. These institutions capitalize on the legacies of their former student activists while actively repressing and punishing their current student activists.

Our battle, in the end, is not with university administrators. It is with the entire U.S. war machine that funds the Zionist entity. However, the actions of these administrators are an important reminder that none of us are truly free under the settler-colonial apparatus.

Eight years after the 2016 election, Democrats are reliving the infamous Clinton-Sanders battle -- this time in the race for New York's 16th Congressional District.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), a "squad" member favored by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), is facing a rocky path to reelection against Westchester County Executive George Latimer, a centrist who earned Hillary Clinton's support this week.

The June 25 primary is unearthing old rivalries in a party facing an identity crisis over Israel in a part of the state that many Jews call home.

"This primary is more about the war in Gaza than anything else," said Doug Gordon, a Democratic consultant and co-founder of UpShift Strategies.

There's plenty of anger in both camps. Bowman has repeatedly suggested Latimer is racist, while Latimer has accused Bowman of aligning with ultra-right-wing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on a key vote. Both have sought to paint the other as ineffective and wrong for the blue district.

On Wednesday, after Clinton threw her weight behind Latimer, old wounds were reexposed.

"With Trump on the ballot, we need strong, principled Democrats in Congress more than ever," Clinton wrote in a post on the social platform X. "In Congress, @LatimerforNY will protect abortion rights, stand up to the NRA, and fight for President Biden's agenda--just like he's always done."

An endorsement from the former first lady -- who represented New York in the Senate -- is now being tested. Observers say it sent a signal about the ideological importance of the race for Democrats.

Bowman, who's trailing in recent polls, downplayed her decision.

"I definitely wouldn't call that a major endorsement," Bowman said in an appearance on CNN, before touting his support from Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is also hosting a rally with Sanders for Bowman just before election day.

One progressive Bowman can't count on for support is former Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.), who's running in the neighboring district after briefly leaving Congress. Jones lent his backing to Latimer in a surprise endorsement, causing a stir among liberals who saw it as a flat out backstab.

Progressives are, get this, blaming the Jews for Bowman's precarious state.

The firmness of [Latimer's] support from Israel allies has been the biggest point of frustration for progressives, who take issue with funding AIPAC and UDP receive from Republican donors.

"Sadly, it appears the real story here is the amount of campaign spending by outside groups to oust Bowman from his seat," said Tim Black, a pro-Sanders progressive commentator and activist.

Bowman has expressed solidarity with Palestinians. He often publicly condemns the Israeli government and has doubled down on critiques of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and military leaders as the war continues.

Alexandria Donkey-Chompers says that we have to donate to Bowman to -- get this -- "save democracy."

Now, because you have a "heterochronology" in which your life did not begin the day you decided you were trans, your memory extends as far back as 2018 when AOC defeated a long-serving Democrat congressman in a primary.

And you might just remember that AOC got elected thanks to huge sums of money being sent in to her district by revolution Marxists around the country to put her into Congress and boot out someone viewed as more centrist.

But money donated to a candidate from outside his district is bad when it's Jewish Money.

Our "Intelligence" Community Is Fighting the Real Enemy: People Who Don't Like "Pride"

ODNI has announced free "pride" fingernail painting for employees of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, among other very important national security matters.

The top intelligence agency in the United States is celebrating Pride Month by inviting agents to have the transgender flag painted on their nails, participate in a "Pride Ally Challenge," and learn from a "non-binary," "Filipinx" activist who has taught children about her non-binary identity, a document exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire reveals.

The intelligence document outlines nine different Pride Month activities held by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), a cabinet-level agency overseeing the rest of the IC, including the CIA, FBI, NSA, and intelligence components in each branch of the military. Over the course of the month, intelligence officers will have their nails painted with trans flags, or even learn to crochet their very own Pride flags.

"For nail painting, we'll have our pro team of FVEY artistes ready to decorate you ready for Pride Month, with the option of celebrating pride or trans flag colors," the document reads before further encouraging intelligence agents to have their nails painted. "If you don't normally paint your nails, or have never done so, all the better! We'll do everything for you, and you might just love it. What better way to show your allyship to the community?"

The elaborate array of Pride celebrations, all of which will occur during the work hours of America's top intelligence apparatus, demonstrates one of the most blatant ways in which the most powerful instruments of the federal government have been captured and leveraged by leftwing ideologues.

Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence and combat-decorated U.S. Army veteran who fought in the elite Green Berets, confirmed the authenticity of the document with the intelligence community. He said it's another example of the Biden administration wasting valuable time and resources away from serious intelligence-gathering activities that are vital to our national security.

"It just shows where this administration's priorities continue to be, which is a virtue signal to the progressive Left, rather than staying focused on lethality, effective intelligence collection, and keeping America safe," Waltz told The Daily Wire. "It's just a total misplacement of priorities, and it comes from the top, and it comes from highly politicized political appointees, by political appointees that are pushing an agenda."

That nail painting event, which took place on June 4, came just ahead of a talk from guest speaker AC Dumlao, who is described as a "transgender non-binary first-generation Filipinx-American activist and educator" and has a website called "Call Me They."

"AC will lead a discussion focused on transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse identities," as well as "where we are today with trans rights and ending discrimination," the event description reads.

The document encourages agents to write blog posts for the "Why I'm an Ally" series, which is run by the Pride Employee Resource Group and provides an "informal way for allies of the Pride Community to explain just why they actively choose to be an ally." The Pride Employee Resource Group also sought to recruit new leadership, explaining that the organizations "provide employees of underrepresented groups and their allies the tools and ability to identify and address barriers that may hinder the achievement of that population."

While the "intelligence" community dicks around with divisive nonsense, they're simultaneously blasting out the message that Trump is the chaos agent that will bring about WWIII, not Biden.

I'll also take a moment to think about a different man who, like me, knew he wasn't ready to be a parent. Not yet. A man who, 14 years ago, held my hand through a seven-minute surgical abortion that gave us both the chance to go our separate ways and be the parents we are today.

Claim: Biden Is Attempting to Change the Rules So He Can Sit Down During the Debate

SCOOP: Per two sources, including one at CNN, the Biden Campaign is trying to renegotiate the debate rules to allow Biden to be seated.

This would be a major format change from what was agreed to.

This won't be the last change he demands, either. The plan is to demand so many changes that Trump objects, and then cancel the debate, blaming Trump.

Update: Former CNN "analyst" and leftwing hack Chris Cillizza -- a thumb -- admits the debate rules are already #rigged for Biden.

Cillizza started off by saying the muted microphones will obviously benefit Biden. CNN has not explicitly stated whether Tapper and Bash will be in charge of the muting, but the network did state that moderators "will use all tools at their disposal to enforce timing and ensure civilized discussion."

"I don't love it from a debate perspective, but from a who does this benefit perspective, it clearly benefits Biden," he said. "Because if you go back and look at the debates they had, they had two in 2020 between Biden and Trump. Trump just talks and talks and talks and talks, and that's true in 2016 too. Like he just over and over and over and over again just talks. He interrupts, he bullies. You know, in 2020 Biden said, 'Hey man, why don't you just shut up?'"

The former CNN analyst said the two commercial breaks during the debate will also benefit the president.

"This is different than what we've seen in the past," he said. "So in the past, a group called the Commission on Presidential Debates managed these things. It's a bipartisan group made up of former like party officials. There were no commercial breaks in there. It was 2 hours. It was straight. It was questioning, right? There was no room to sort of take a breath. Again, I think this probably benefits Biden a little bit just because he gets a little time to regroup, right?"

"He is older, I know it's only three and a half years older, but I do think he struggles more with these live performance kind of things than does Trump," Cillizza continued. "So you can't interact with your campaign or advisers in any way during the breaks, but you can just sort of ... I'm not on live TV at this second and I don't need to watch what I'm saying every second. I can kind of regroup, figure out what my message should be, how have I done? So I think that's a good thing for Biden. I think he benefits from a little breather within. So that's two rules and two good things for Biden."

Cillizza said the lack of a studio audience also benefits Biden because Trump supporters are more vocal.

"I do think this probably benefits Biden. Trump supporters are loud," he said. "They are more likely to not follow the debate rules. Like, at every debate they're like, 'please don't clap, please don't cheer, please don't express any sentiment towards either candidate until the end of the debate.' And people just don't follow the rules. I think the Trump people would be less likely to follow the rules just given what I know about them. So you'd have a lot of cheering ... a lot of booing, that sort of thing, which I think might sort of impact how people perceive the debate. Okay, so that's three rules and three good things for Biden."

Lastly, Cillizza said the fact that the candidates will be prevented from having pre-written notes during the debates benefits Trump.

Bill Maher: Why Is It Okay When Leftwingers Hate the Jews?

Via Legal Insurrection, Joel Stein and Bill Maher try, futilely, to convince Ana Navarro that leftwing antisemtism is worthy of condemnation rather than constant minimization and justification.

"Real Time" host Bill Maher put a spotlight on the lack of condemnation of the growing antisemitism that has erupted on the left in comparison to the country's response to the infamous 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.

"I got a question. How come it's okay for the left to hate the Jews?" Maher asked on Friday night. "Because, obviously, if this was the people at Charlottesville doing this, wouldn't there be a bigger outcry?"

CNN contributor Ana Navarro responded by saying it's not an "apples to apples" comparison, saying that the "images" of dead children in Gaza are a major factor in the left's activism. But writer Joel Stein insisted the college students currently protesting have "more power" than the "tiki torch IT guys" that were marching in Charlottesville.

"If the people in Charlottesville who were chanting 'Jews won't replace us,' I mean, that's bad. It's not as bad as 'Death to.' That's not deplorable?" Maher exclaimed.

"It's absolutely terrible," Navarro responded.

"Okay, well, if one side is deplorables and the other side does something that's- I mean, if I was a Holocaust survivor, and I guess there's not many of those left, but if I was, I would choose 'Jews will not replace us' over 'Death to Zionists," Maher said.

"There's no condemnation like there was with Charlottesville," he later added.

CNN Poll Analyst: Trump Is On the Path to a Historic Performance With Black Voters

That's going to hurt.

Trump has significantly shrunk his deficit with President Joe Biden among black Americans in the six battleground states, with the current president leading the former president 70% to 18%, a May New York Times/Siena College poll found. Enten, on "CNN News Central," was stunned by how Trump is performing with black Americans as a Republican candidate, as well as how unpopular Biden is becoming with these voters.

"I keep looking for this to change, to go back to a historical norm and it, simply put, has not yet. So this is the margin, or ,Biden and Trump among black voters, compare where we were at this point in 2020, compare to where we are now. At this point, look at this. In 2020, Joe Biden was getting 86% of the African American vote. Look at where it is now. It's 70%, that's a 16-point drop, John," Enten told host John Berman. "And more than that, it's not just that Joe Biden is losing ground. It's that Donald Trump is gaining ground. You go from 7%, single-digits at this point in 2020, to now 21% and again, John, I keep looking for signs that this is going to go back to normal and I don't see it yet in the polling of anything right now. We're careening towards a historic performance for a Republican presidential candidate, the likes of which we have not seen in six decades."

Enten told Berman that Biden is not losing as many older black voters, but is hemorrhaging the youth.

"This is where we get very interesting," Enten said. "So I decided to deep dive deeper into the cross tabs, figure out where is it that Joe Biden is truly struggling among black voters. All right, so this is black voters, Biden versus Trump margin. Look at black voters age fifty and older and you'll see it. Look, Joe Biden was leading amongst this group at this point by 83 points back in 2020. Now, it's 74 points, so yeah, a slight decline in that margin, but nothing out of this world."

"Look at black voters under the age of 50," the data reporter continued. "Holy cow, folks, holy cow. Look at this. Joe Biden was up by 80 points among this group back at this point in 2020, look at where that margin has careened down towards. It's now just, get this, 37 points. That lead has dropped by more than half, Mr. Berman. I've just never seen anything like this. I'm like speechless because you always look at history and you go, 'okay, this is a historic moment.' If this polling is anywhere near correct, we're looking at a historic moment right now, where black voters under the age of 50, which have historically been such a big part of the democratic coalition, are leaving in droves."

THE MORNING RANT: No Internet Edition

My apologies, but I have no computer access to the internet at the moment, so this is being typed on my phone. Here are a few quick thoughts to fill the time until Ace gets here with a real post.

What are some known truths that you once accepted at face value, that might be worth rethinking? I'm not talking about the usual conspiracy-ish topics such as JFK, I mean things such as:

- Smoot-Hawley caused the Depression. My circle of generally conservative friends has for decades accepted that as being the cause of the Depression. We never questioned it. I question it now.

- Post WWII peace and prosperity was due to The Marshall Plan. Or, maybe the civilizational rebirth had more to do with the industriousness of the people digging out of the rubble. Marshall Planning the countries of our wars in the past 35 years hasn't seemed to help.

- Tariffs are a tax on consumers. Or maybe it's a little more complicated than that. By the same logic, the abolition of slave labor is a tax on consumers.

- Helen Keller: Inez Stephan tweeted out a while ago that her husband Jarrett is a Helen Keller truther. I never gave Ms Keller much thought in the first place, but it is rather convenient that this one person, Anne Sullivan, had a unique ability to communicate with Keller, and coincidentally enough, Ms. Keller had the same passionate political opinions as Ms Sullivan.

On a lighter note, and as I have mentioned before, Mrs Throckmorton has the charming talent of unintentionally creating portmanteaus and mixed metaphors. Here are a couple of her recent ones. They may not be actual words, but their meanings are clear.

The Morning Report — 6//17/24

Good Morning Kids. So first we had the G-7 Summit where Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants shambling and meandering were on full display for the entire world to see, regardless of whether the press was going to mention it or attempt to project his dementia and withering away onto a seemingly surging Donald Trump. And over the weekend, where he Hollywood set gathered for a massive fundraiser, Obama himself was there to rather fittingly grab Biden by the arm and lead him off stage before he fell off stage.

Miranda Devine Warns:

God forbid that we allow our eyes to see what they see when it comes to the Meanderer in Chief’s bizarre behavior.

Rather than be accused of peddling disinformation, best to make no comment about the latest video of Joe Biden freezing up like a zombie and having to be shepherded off stage by Barack Obama Saturday night at the president’s celebrity-studded fundraiser in Los Angeles.

Some things are so obvious they need no commentary.But Republicans should not fall into the trap of emphasizing Biden’s increasing befuddlement, as viral as such moments are to a world astonished that America now resembles the end stages of Soviet decrepitude. 

The strategy risks engendering sympathy for a man who deserves none and lets him off the hook for all the damage he has wrought on this country.

It also plays into Biden’s superpower: being underestimated.

He might act like a doddering incompetent, look like a wax effigy and walk like a robot, but the president has the uncanny ability to exceed all expectations when it counts, politically. 

Is the estimable Ms. Devine correct in warning us about Biden or at least the image-making/controlling machine that along with the intelligence community and national law enforcement apparatus pus the propagandists and the evisceration of even the most gossamer thin veneer of election integrity laws courtesy of the COVID fake-demic lockdowns foisted on us that this can or will happen again. Remember, we now have more than three years of abject catastrophe here at home and abroad in the wake of the aforementioned which is repelling even some segments of the usually rock solid Democrat base to, if not pull the lever for Trump, then to at least stay at home (18-wheelers of pre-filled in ballots heading to Wayne County Michigan and elsewhere notwithstanding).

Besides the 18-wheelers perhaps Chi-Com Higgins Boats and C-47s with PLA paratroopers heading for Taiwan.

And yet much of the world seemingly is waking up to the disaster of prolonged Leftism turning their nations and societies upside down. Is western revival possible both here and in Europe a pipe dream? Or are there things even we cannot imagine that could at least put us on track to make it possible, or have we devolved to a point where the past two thousand plus years of societal advancement might now be destined to be a bygone era? Sorry to hit you with the negative waves so early. But we can never know the future. But we do know the past or at least we should pay attention to it in order to prepare for the future and perhaps n our own individual ways try to do what we can to help shape it.

  A rather neat little project.
  
  The original Mac had 128k of RAM, and the Pi Pico has 256k of main memory, so in theory this should be possible. All you need to do is squeeze a Motorola 68000 emulator and the Mac ROMs and hardware emulation into that remaining 128k.
  
  Oh, and that hardware emulation includes the video, and the Pi Pico has no video hardware.
  
  No problem, not with the help of some street cables and a bit of inspired cheating.

Your ol' pal Weasel is heading to the farm-o for a few days, so the GT is going to be a little on the lite side this week. I'm heading down on Thursday and planning to get home just in time to hit the big red post button Sunday evening. I have had another shed built which I need to organize and also know there is going to be a lot of vegetation to do battle with when I get down there. Plus all the usual rigors of Organic Tree Farming. Plus some relaxation.

And now that we are on the topic of non-standard tools for the kitchen, is there anything you want to share with the Horde?

I have a pair of needle-nose pliers in my kitchen tool drawer, and it is amazing how often I use it! Pulling stray bones from salmon fillets is obvious, but I find myself using it for other stuff too!

Anyone use bricks? I do!

So spill it...what weird stuff would we find if we go through your kitchen drawers?

First-World Problems...

That took less than one month. The little bastard spawn of the Devil woodpecker started the damage, and probably a flying squirrel saw a target of opportunity and chewed the larger hole.

I'll deal with the squirrel the way I always have...scorched earth!

But that woodpecker is too damned flighty (SWIDT?). And I really don't want to do the repairs on the house if I do get him the way he deserves...#1 buckshot.

A Government Big Enough To Give You Everything You Want, Is A Government Big Enough To Take Away Everything That You Have

Including your life.

The shift from a relatively benign government to one that is actively hostile to the typical citizen is accelerating. And "typical" means tax-paying and normal. The shock troops of the left are very carefully protected by the agents of government, and the proof of that is the conspicuous lack of prosecutions for the multi-billion dollar riots of a few years ago. Antifa and BLM and the other counter-culture thugs that the left wields can riot and burn and beat and probably kill without fear of government action.

On the other side of the spectrum, the January 6th demonstration, made up almost entirely of those tax-paying normals (except for the agents provocateurs of the government!) have been hounded by the agents of the federal government, hunted with every technology available to them, and charged with obscene and ridiculous crimes. The act of walking through a government building whose doors were opened by government agents will get you several years in Lubyanka Washington D.C. jail.

Or dead, as Ashli Babbitt and Rosanne Boyland discovered.

And it's getting worse. The Biden/Obama regime has weaponized every department of government, and has given them an obvious mandate to shoot first and not bother with any questions.

No Charges in Deadly ATF Arkansas Home Raid

Mr. Malinowski was executive director of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock until that morning, when a convoy of 10 law enforcement vehicles rolled into his upscale neighborhood and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), holding automatic rifles in the ready position, placed tape on his video doorbell, announced their presence, and in less than one minute, broke into the home while he was sleeping. Mr. Malinowski, a gun collector, woke up, grabbed his gun, exchanged gunfire with the ATF, and Mr. Malinowski was shot dead in front of his wife.

Is there any tactical reason to cover a doorbell camera? No. They covered it so that Mr. Malinowski couldn't confirm that they were police, and he would be far less willing to be peaceful. They didn't want him in custody...they wanted him dead.

  The probe launched in 1977 and completed its primary mission - flybys of Jupiter and Saturn - in 1980, and since then it has been travelling deeper into space just chilling (literally) and enjoying the view.
  
  Only four of the original eleven instruments on board are still operational, but that's enough for it to return interesting data for a little longer.
  
  Both Voyager probes are powered by short-lived radioisotope generators, and within the next decade the power output will have been reduced to a point where none of the instruments will work. Shortly after that they will pass beyond the range of the Deep Space Network and we will lose contact until 2270.
