Seattle police, facing manpower shortage, to hire illegal immigrants with DACA status as cops SEATTLE, WA - Seattle is joining the growing list of left wing cities that have decided to turn to illegal aliens to fill the ever-increasing void in the ranks of their police department, following cities such as Los Angeles. This is due to severe understaffing that has gutted many large city departments in primarily blue cities. In April, KTTH’s Jason Rantz reported that staffing on the Seattle PD is at levels not seen in 67 years. As of December 31, 2023, the department had only 424 police officers working, the last date for which data was available. That number was confirmed to Rantz by the Seattle PD in an email. Hunter Biden is a convicted felon. I don't mind repeating that mostly because so many people can't help but say it about Trump. Yes, it's true, but so is the term's application toward Hunter Biden. The truth is, though, that the law he's convicted of breaking probably shouldn't exist. That's especially true following Bruen. Like Friday's Cargill decision, Bruen was written by Justice Clarence Thomas, who might be the most vilified member of the Supreme Court these days. And he just might be Hunter's best hope.To the screaming Lefties Hunter & Justice Thomas are disposable no matter what ruling comes out of SCOTUS. His conclusion: So accordingly, I Jimmy Heyward, am running for Commissioner of Patriotism and School Spirit. I want to clarify that my ideas are not promises, but I can promise to make pep rallies great again! … I will make the school spirit great again! I will make patriotism within SBS great again! The Kailyn Clark situation is so....weird. Or sad. For a brief moment, there was mainstream buzz about a WNBA player that was actually 'good' (There are a lot of clips of her making impressive 3-point shots. But I don't watch, so I have no idea how many tries it takes for her to create those highlights) instead of laughably inept. But almost immediately the conversation shifts to her being shafted, or just flagrantly assaulted by seemingly the entire league. So instead of her fame lifting the league out of obscurity, it seems like everyone else is intent on miring the league in perpetual controversy...
I guess it would have just been too convenient for her to have a skilled rival to face off against, to give the WNBA a Magic Johnson/Larry Bird style rivalry for the sports media to endlessly analyze... Posted by: Castle Guy at June 16, 2024 10:16 PM (Lhaco) 61

Was windy and blustery all day here, some tiny showers, but no real rainfall. Even a few brief blinks of sunshine. I spent all day in the small shop sorting hardware, and putting it away in bin boxes. Got the bench top cleared enough that I could set up my mini-mill and get it bolted down, so it is now basically ready to use.
Now many of my bin boxes are so full, they overflow. I am going to have to sort each bin box, fill it with maybe a hundred of the best, cleanest examples of its type, and put the overflow in coffee cans to be stored elsewhere. I don't need a thousand 3/8-24NF nuts, for example. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at June 16, 2024 10:20 PM (6T/Ac) 68

It hasn't been announced and I don't know when they will so I will put an asterisk by this comment because he has definitely pissed some people off outside of the office. He has alot of support inside the office with some exceptions including the PA in charge of the 19 year olds case. That puts her case in a very bad position.

She's going to get seriously injured, and the WNBA can go back to flying coach on Sprit Airlines. The repulsive thing is that normally when someone on your sports team gets a gratuitous hit, the bench clears, and the whole team goes after the person who did it. Just an observation which may not be as widespread as it appears to me. Police uniforms used to be blue. It seems to me that many cops now wear all black. Is it to appear more menacing? When I saw Blue I felt reassured that Law & Order was here. Black always makes me think of SWAT, Feebeees, undisclosed orgs, BATF, etc.

For those of us for whom illegal immigration is the Number One issue with a bullet:
SCOTUS ruled last week that illegal aliens who don't show up for their immigration/removal hearings can be summarily deported-- no further bullzh*t in court needed. The scary part is, this was a 5-4 ruling. The decision has important implications for hundreds of thousands of similarly situated illegal aliens-- as well as for the millions the Biden regime has released with notices to appear (NTAs) in FOUR YEARS, i.e., the catch & release farce. The "failure to appear" rate for immigration hearings is about 95%, IIRC. About that 5-4 thing... I'm not the proper target audience for the "the worse the better" argument so beloved of many posters here. The "worse" is ghastly & means cultural suicide. Dad died suddenly, unexpectedly, in '68. I was fifteen. I'm now more than a score of years older than he ever got to be. (I'll save you the math: I'm 29.) I only knew the good things about him when he was alive. Some less than good things came out over the years, but I only knew the good guy.
I was not as good a father as I should have been, I know. Funny thing about parenting, you don't really get do-overs. Still, our daughter turned out great after some troubled years. She teaches ballet and was greatly instrumental in revivifying the local ballet scene. Her husband is more than an in-law son to us. They married late, and two pregnancies ended in miscarriage; not a lot of hope for success. Our local son is apparently not going to be a father, but he also turned out to be a great guy. Employed, homeowner, gun-totin', pick-m-up drivin' MAGA man. Got me a t-shirt that says Best Dad Ever, change my mind (from Crowder's store). I don't feel like I deserve it, but am honored at the thought. Cat has forgiven us for being gone earlier this week:
Found half of a mouse on the doormat Saturday. Heh. Must be his way of sharing? (ewwww) Posted by: JQ at June 17, 2024 *** MOrning, JQ, I've read various explanations of our cats bringing us kills. One is that they are quietly showing off, showing their mothers (us) how well they hunt. Another is that they are showing *us* how to hunt -- which makes no sense, as it is the mother who teaches the kittens, not the other way around, and we stand in for their mothers. Rusty, my boyhood cat, caught mice now and then, and always left his kills on Mom's dining table chair (which was wood, no fabric to clean up). Only her chair, and she was the one who fed him most often. Didn't bother Mom; she'd grown up in a small Canadian town and later on a Florida farm. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at June 17, 2024 03:14 AM (omVj0) 355
Interesting, Wolfus.
Sometimes, Cat will eat the entire thing (except The Green Part). Other times, he'll leave half. Not sure if he's sharing or simply *full*? One evening, he brought up a small mouse & played/killed /ate it, then went immediately back into the shrubbery and brought up another (live and kickin'!) which he then *put out of its misery* right in front of me, and laid it on the mat at my feet. I believe he was 'providing' for me, or perhaps returning the favor of a good meal. LOL Posted by: JQ at June 17, 2024 03:20 AM (njWTi) 356

I can't beleive this. MeTV just cut off the last 15 minutes of the 2 am showing of Mission: Impossible, to run Soledad O'Brien's Matter of Fact propaganda program. The local NBC outlet buries it at 3 am, and doesn't even tell the online TV guide site. Now, without warning or apology, they cut off the end of the MI episode. What, I wonder, will they do at 3:15 when the MoF show is over? Run clips of Mushbrain stumbling around?
