. . .while she promises to soldier on, the results so far suggest that neither she, DeSantis, nor a half-dozen other Republicans who sought the nomination ever had a good chance of success. Instead, it appears to me more likely that Trump would have won no matter who challenged him, how much money they raised or how well they ran their campaigns. That conclusion reflects the former president’s victories in Iowa and New Hampshire as well as his prospects ahead. Incredibly, polls in the next 10 states on the GOP calendar all show him with a lead of at least 30 points, including Haley’s home state of South Carolina. The upshot is that rather than searching for the whys of the other candidates’ defeats, we should instead come to grips with why Trump could prove to be unbeatable in the primaries and why he has a real chance of winning the White House a second time. The short answer is that we are witnessing a durable political movement unlike any seen in modern America. The part of the electorate that hates Trump really, really hates him, yet it is matched in size and intensity by those who see him as the last, best hope. Without that enormous well of support, he would have been crushed by the coordinated onslaught against him. And yet that same onslaught, much of it the result of unfair media coverage and partisan actions that shattered political norms, also played a major role in his revival. So did the mistakes of Trump’s Republican opponents, all of whom misjudged his hold on the party and its most faithful voters. One example: he has won a majority in each of the first two states. . . . . . As if [the Russia collusion hoax, impeachments and kangaroo court prosecutions] weren’t enough to bring Trump’s political corpse back to life, Biden did the rest by proving day after day that he was not fit for the Oval Office. . . [Biden] was and is, quite simply, a terrible president, arguably the worst ever. From his bumbling, befuddled appearances to his enormous policy failures that are helping spark domestic and global tensions, he managed to boost the case for the man he had soundly defeated. Because many of Biden’s key failures are in areas where Trump had succeeded, including the economy, controlling inflation and achieving border security and peace abroad, voters have a handy comparison that tilts in Trump’s favor. There is only one reason for Haley to stay in the race. To slime Trump and make him waste time, effort and most of all money in battling her instead of focusing on Biden and/or whoever the Democrats might replace him with. This is neither delusion nor ego. This is pure political calculus and backstabbing. If you needed any proof of her utter lack of character and her true allegiances, this is proof positive. In any case, I don't think it's going to work. The only thing the Democrats have is fear mongering on abortion. Even if every shrill shrieking shrewish Karen gets the urge to shout their abortions and Roe, Roe, Roe the vote, the tidal wave of abject disaster as represented by Biden's intentional multi-million-migrant invasion and erasure of our border will swamp that big time. And speaking of which, back to the border we go where, despite Julia Roberts and Amy Coney Island siding with the hack leftists, Governor Greg Abbott shows he's got spine and is on a roll (that goes out to Buck Throckmorton!)
The Texas National Guard continued to install razor wire along the U.S.-Mexico border on Tuesday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Biden [junta] could cut through or remove the razor wire. “The Texas Military Department continues to hold the line in Shelby Park to deter and prevent unlawful entry into the State of Texas,” Texas said in a statement. “We remain resolute in our actions to secure our border, preserve the rule of law, and protect the sovereignty of our State.” The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on Monday in favor of the Biden [junta]. The order said that Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh all would have denied the Biden administration’s request. Images emerged on Tuesday showing the state of Texas doubling down on its efforts to stop [fraudulent] President Joe Biden’s illegal immigration crisis by continuing to lay razor wire along the border. “The Texas National Guard continues to hold the line in Eagle Pass,” said Governor Greg Abbott. “Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden’s absence.” “The logical concern should be why the Federal Government continues to hinder Texas’ ability to protect its border, all while allowing for the exploitation, dangerous, & inhumane methods of permitting illegal immigrants, including children, to illegally cross a dangerous river where many have lost their lives. Texas is the only state using every strategy & resource to protect its sovereignty, combat criminal activity, & discourage illegal immigration. #Texas will continue to hold the line.”THIS. It will be interesting to see how Biden's handlers react to this. It used to be that Obama would issue some sort of bullshit executive order and while we were playing with ourselves via the courts, he'd be laughing his ass off and playing "catch me if you can!" By the time a case made it, it was either dismissed, ruled in Obama's favor, or a decision made moot since the damage the order created was too deeply ingrained to reverse. And then it was the usual "Wait until we win both chambers of Congress and the White House, and then we'll really fix them! Please send donations to . . ." Lather, rinse, repeat. Recall that between 1/20/2017 and 1/20/19 we not only had both chambers but we were populating the lower courts with supposedly conservative judges and would wind up with 3 more on SCOTUS. How'd that work out for us? That why I am cheering on Abbott because what he's doing is huge and is hopefully a shot across the bow if not a rhetorical redux of The Shot Heard Round the World (and I don't mean Bobby Thompson off of Ralph Branca), not just in terms of the border and immigration but on every other aspect of our lives that an overbearing, overreaching, feral, and frankly illegitimate bureaucracy and/or tyrannical edicts via executive order or a rubber stamp mockery of a corrupted judiciary will impose on us. And with all the constant sturm und drang with the border, the election, the Middle East and everywhere else where tyranny is on the march and good people are trying to fight back, shit like this which is part and parcel of the corruption that all of us here are railing against risks getting lost in the sauce. But it's just as crucial as all the rest.
“Nothing about the crimes of conviction was of defendants’ own making,” Judge McMahon wrote in her opinion. The “real lead conspirator” in the case “was the United States,” she continued. FBI informant Shahed Hussain roped Cromitie and three other black Muslims, already released, into the plot. “The FBI invented the conspiracy, identified the targets, manufactured the ordnance,” McMahon noted. The agency “federalized what would otherwise have been a state crime by driving three of the four men into Connecticut… and picked the day for the ‘mission,’” she wrote. While McMahon branded Cromitie’s anti-Semitism and agreement to take part in terror attacks “heinous,” she stressed “he could never have dreamed up” the plot on his own. Authorities have been accused of using similar tactics against right-wingers. Efforts to convict a group involved in a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer were dogged by mistrials and acquittals after defense lawyers argued federal informants enticed the defendants into the conspiracy.Ah yes, the FBI. Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity. And if you believe that, I have a couple of pipe bombs I can let you have real cheap! Not to worry; they were bought second hand from Industrial Light & Magic, not the Muslim kid who made that clock for his science project.
The video footage, shot on January 6 by a camera installed across the street from the pertinent events, shows two SUVs parked right next to the DNC bench near which one of the pipe bombs was found. One SUV belongs to the D.C. cops, and one to the Secret Service. According to Beattie, they were working jointly on security that day. In the video, we see a man wearing a backpack appear on the lower right side of the screen. Walking at a leisurely pace, he approaches the D.C. police, leans into the driver’s side window, and talks to someone. This is the moment, says Beattie, when he informed the police that he’d seen a pipe bomb. By the way, as this Blaze video shows, that man with the backpack was almost certainly a Capitol police officer. Backpack Guy leisurely strolls off-camera, and the Capitol Police and Secret Service remain in their vehicles. Then: Instead, a minute or so goes by while nothing happens. Then, police officers and Secret Service agents emerge at a leisurely pace from the SUVs and kind of stand around. A group of school children walks within feet of what law enforcement has been told is a pipe bomb, and the officers and agents do nothing at all. One of them eventually walks over and takes a photo of the pipe that may be a bomb. Only later does a robot defuse it. What’s certain is the Capital Police and Secret Service didn’t do the bare basics required in response to a bomb threat, to say nothing about a confirmed explosive device. This is all the odder in that they were there that day to protect Kamala Harris, who was days away from being sworn in as Vice President. She was in the building. What’s even more interesting is Beattie, while on to something, doesn’t quite apprehend exactly what he’s found. Why should he? He’s a journalist, and apparently a good one, but he’s not a cop. He doesn’t think like them, have their instincts, or know their protocols. What's even more interesting is that three years on, the FBI has yet to make any arrests. This after using every sort of high-tech resource available to create a national dragnet in the hopes of ensnaring anyone who was anywhere near the Capitol on 1/6/21 to charge them with insurrection and ruin their lives. It's almost as if these bombs were part of a plot to fake an insurrection and then let the Deep State run with that. Nah. That's crazy talk.

Tim Scott announces his engagement. His fiancee is white. Maybe that's why this was such a secret for so long. I dunno, I assumed he was gay.
Lots of stuff from last week, but still relevant. Commercial real estate is imploding as workers desert the unsafe, barbaric shithole cities.Commercial real estate implosion: Blackstone is desperately trying to shift Manhattan office tower at HALF price after 26-storey building's value tumbled from $605MILLION to $150MILLION World's biggest private equity fund takes a $450million hit on prestigious New York landmark amid a collapse in the commercial property market Comes as landlords across the country write down their portfolios in the wake of high interest rates and an exodus of office workers The price of office space has fallen 35 percent since 2022 leaving US banks vulnerable to billions of dollars in shaky loans By Dominic Yeatman For Dailymail.Com The world's biggest private equity fund has become the latest victim of America's hollowed out office culture after it marketed its landmark New York building for a quarter of what it paid. Blackstone paid around $600 million for the 26-storey tower at 1740 Broadway in 2014 but is now offering it to anyone willing to pay the $150million left on the mortgage. It comes just a week after Shorenstein put the 62-storey Aon Center in Los Angeles on the market for $153.5 million, down from the $269 million it paid ten years ago. Persistent high mortgage rates and the millions of Americans still working from home have been blamed for the collapse in prices and an office vacancy rate reaching a record 19.6 percent in major cities earlier this month. 'I think this is an existential moment,' said RXR real estate boss Scott Rechler. 'This post-COVID world of higher interest rates, the changing nature of how people work and live, we're not going back to where we were, and it's going to be turbulent.' The collapse has been pronounced in the biggest cities with DC facing a 21.1 percent vacancy rate and San Francisco's 34 percent. It has led to a 35 percent fall in office prices from their peak in early 2022 and left banks vulnerable to billions of dollars in shaky loans. About $117 billion worth is expected to be due this year and needs to be repaid or refinanced, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.117 billion here, 117 billion there, and suddenly you're talking real money. Also from last week, but better late than never: A UK civil servant blew the whistle on the actual pro-terrorist extremism that civil servants are being taught in the name of... "counter-terrorism." And of course -- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Yes, and it all started with Obama, who restructured American "counter-terrorism" efforts away from looking to stop Muslim terrorism and to focusing nigh-exclusively on normal patriotic Americans, redefined by Obama and his foreign friends as "potential terrorists." Again from last week -- but with a New Salience due to the newest round of media layoffs -- the coming apocalypse in employment for alleged "mind workers." Who are largely just stupider, lazier organic-analogs of AI anyway.
A former civil servant has written about her experience of a civil-service counter-terrorism course at King's College London. It makes for disturbing reading. Writing in Fathom earlier this month, Anna Stanley recalls an academic expert on extremism telling attendees that author and journalist Douglas Murray and comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan were examples of 'far right' extremists. The lecturer then told attendees that society needed to find 'ways to suppress' such figures. He complained that just de-platforming them 'would cause issues', because 'they have millions of followers'. It gets worse. While this extremism specialist was only too happy to call for tough action against the likes of Joe Rogan, who is not 'far right' in the slightest, other lecturers on the course were restrained and even sympathetic towards Islamist extremists. Though the course took place before the atrocities of 7 October, it is still shocking to read of extremism experts encouraging civil servants to consider Hamas as 'freedom fighters'. After all, Hamas is a proscribed terrorist group under UK law. Yet lecturers were warning civil servants of the risks of making 'moral judgements' about Islamist terrorists. Stanley's experience of the King's College course illustrates the double standards at work in our elites' approach to terrorism and extremism. As William Shawcross explained in the UK government's review of the Prevent counter-terrorism strategy last year, there tends to be an 'expansive approach to the extreme right-wing', capturing a variety of influences 'so broad it has included mildly controversial or provocative forms of mainstream, right-wing-leaning commentary that have no meaningful connection to terrorism or radicalisation'. At the same time, wrote Shawcross, there tends to be a much narrower approach to Islamism, 'centred around proscribed organisations, ignoring the contribution of non-violent Islamist narratives and networks to terrorism'.
In "The True Believer," Eric Hoffer wrote, "Nothing is so unsettling to a social order as the presence of a mass of scribes without suitable employment and an acknowledged status." We're about to find out just how right he was. From the 1970s to roughly now, offshoring and automation gobbled up blue-collar factory-type jobs. .... This went on for decades in industry after industry, with everything from textiles to semiconductor manufacturing closing or moving offshore. White-collar types were notably unsympathetic, for the most part. Berkeley professor and Clinton administration Labor Secretary Robert Reich declared the future belonged to the "symbolic analysts" -- people who, in the words of a Steve Earle song, use their brains and not their hands. Laid-off coal miners in the last decade were contemptuously told to "learn to code." But the worm has turned. Google is looking at laying off 30,000 people it expects to replace with artificial intelligence. The Wall Street Journal reports that large corporations across the board are planning to lay off white-collar workers. Investor Brian Wang notes ChatGPT is already causing white-collar job loss. In fact, ChatGPT can even code. Sometimes its code is quite good. Sometimes it's not so good. (Though God knows, the latter is true of much human-generated software code too.) It can write press releases, ad copy, catalog descriptions, news stories and essays, speeches, encyclopedia entries, customer-inquiry responses and more. It can generate art on demand that's suitable for book covers, advertisements and magazine illustrations. Again, sometimes these items are quite good, and sometimes they're not, but there's a lot of less-than-stellar human work in those categories too. Learning to code is bad advice now. And the kicker is, AI is getting better all the time. ... People losing their jobs to AI is just the tip of the iceberg. In the next decade, lots more people -- possibly (gulp) including professors like me -- will be facing potential replacement by machines. It turns out that using your brain and not your hands isn't as good a move as it may have once seemed. People who work with their hands have some advantages. If you want something done in the material world, you still need people. ... Unlike blue-collar workers, who got little sympathy, these laid off white-collar workers will have more clout. Expect them to create much more of a stink than those laid-off steelworkers managed to back in 1977.Quoted by Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, leftwing hack and Nepo Baby Matthew Yglesias frets that having a media packed stem-to-stern with crusading puritanical progressives isn't an unmitigated good for the left.
The people who produce the news are primarily young college graduates living in big cities, a demographic that skews way to the left of the electorate. And the audience for this news, though less ideologically skewed than the producers, is still significantly to the left of center. That dynamic is a powerful force multiplier for platforming and disseminating new left-wing ideas, including ideas that go from edgy to dominant -- like "gay couples should be allowed to get married" -- as well as ideas that provoke massive backlash the minute they get any purchase -- "maybe cities don't need police departments." It's a major structural feature of the media landscape that helps explain why the general policy trajectory over the past generation has been toward the left.

We would do well to do the same. Ban members and attendees of the Nazi-Marxist Fusion Party from any place in our party.
(Exception made for antagonistic attendees who rip the WEF to its face.)Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre says his rule preventing potential ministers from having links to the World Economic Forum (WEF) also applies to party staff and advisors. "No staff, no ministers, no MPs in my caucus will be involved whatsoever in that organization," Mr. Poilievre said on Jan. 22 after being asked by media to clarify if the ban was broader than potential ministers. The Tory leader called attendees of WEF's annual meeting a group of "high flying, high tax, high carbon hypocrites" who he said take private jets to fly into Davos, Switzerland, to discuss how working people "should not be allowed to heat their homes or drive their pickup trucks." The organization's annual meeting took place from Jan. 15 to 19 under the theme "Rebuilding Trust" and was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, who serves as a WEF trustee. Ms. Freeland took part in a panel where she said all of Canada's manufacturing has to be "retooled" for the energy transition.I once again applaud Ian Fleming for his prescience in making SPECTRE a "charitable organization," allegedly in pursuit of the betterment of humanity with a special emphasis on helping refugees and "displaced persons," but which is actually a Nazi-Marxist terrorist organization bent on world subjugation and, of course, getting filthy rich. Klaus Schwab is Blofeld made flesh.

Allegedly, the Arizona Republican chair attempted to bribe Kari Lake into not running. On audio tape, he asks if "there's a number" at which she'd agree to "take a pause" from running for office.
He talks about putting her on the boards of different companies to put money in her pocket. I say "allegedly" to cover myself but it's hard to hear anything other than a bribe being offered here.Posted by: Disinformation Expert Ace at 04:25 PM | Comments (392) | Trackbacks (Suck)
There is nothing conservative about this grasping Karen, including her bodycount.
Can Nikki Haley read the room? Apparently not. With the New Hampshire primary just two days away, on Sunday she played the race card in a big way, making outlandish and implausible claims about her youth in South Carolina. Whose votes is she trying to win? Those of patriotic voters who are thoroughly sick of charges of "racism" being used as a weapon or those of the entrenched Washington establishment that weaponized those charges? The answer isn't even close to being in doubt. Haley came out big for identity politics on NBC Sunday, saying: "We were the only Indian family in our small southern town. I was teased every day for being brown. So anyone that wants to question it can go back and look at what I've said on how hard it was to grow up in the deep South as a brown girl." Now wait a minute here. It's very common for kids to tease one another, and to seize upon whatever is available to do the teasing with, but did Nikki Haley really experience racism in the deep South? She was born in South Carolina in 1972. So she is talking about suffering from racist teasing in the 1970s and 1980s. ... Haley, however, dug even deeper, adding: "If you wanna know what it was like growing up, I was disqualified from a beauty pageant because I wasn't white or black, because they didn't know where to put me. So look, I know the hardships, the pain that come with racism."
Are you kidding me? If I had a beauty contest, I wouldn't know where to put Nikki Haley, either. I think I'd make her an usher. I mean: You know this isn't an inner beauty contest, right?
I was wondering -- after the disclosures about Nikki Haley's risk-taking adulterous affairs -- if there's a link between ambition in women and sex drive. Higher testosterone, maybe? It seems there is:
So is a successful and driven career woman more likely to have a high sex drive than her lesser-achieving sisters? That was the conclusion drawn from research published this week which showed that women with high levels of testosterone are more likely to be risk-takers - and to have stronger sexual appetites.JACKIE COLLINS TOLD THE TRUTH Now do Hillary Clinton. Wait -- Belay that order, Number Two.

The deal had been proposed by Egypt and Qatar.
Hamas reportedly rejected a proposal from Israel for a two-month ceasefire that would involve the relocation of Hamas leadership to other countries and the release of all hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Hamas insists that it will not release any hostages until Israel ends its battle in the Gaza Strip and withdraws from the area, according to a senior Egyptian official, The Associated Press reported.Hamas threatens that they'll murder the hostages unless their terms are quickly met:
More from Free Beacon. Hamas continues suggesting, ominously, there is "no chance" to save the hostages.
Hamas says that time is running out to bring the approximately 110 people who remain hostage home alive after Hamas and other terrorists took more than 250 people captive and killed 1,200 others when invading Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
As Israeli planes resumed bombing Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, senior Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to end the military offensive in Gaza "means there is no chance for the return of the [Israeli] captives." His comment came after Netanyahu rejected the group's terms for the release of hostages and an end to the war, which included Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and leaving the group in power in the enclave. "In exchange for the release of our hostages, Hamas demands the end of the war, the withdrawal of our forces from Gaza, the release of all the murderers and rapists," Netanyahu said in a statement. "And leaving Hamas intact." "I reject outright the terms of surrender of the monsters of Hamas," Netanyahu said. They Just Want to Breathe (TM). Did you know that? Meanwhile, Israel is not letting up in its own War on Terror. The IDF is pushing into the southern Gaza terror stronghold city of Khan Yunis.
The IDF on Monday launched a division-level push into western Khan Yunis, ushering what will likely be the most intense fighting since early December when the military first entered other parts of Hamas's southern capital. Division 98 has unleashed serious forces from its seven brigades, artillery, tanks, and air support, and surrounded western Khan Yunis which until now the IDF had mostly steered clear of. The IDF earlier announced a large number of airstrikes which were meant to soften up the area for ground forces to move into the new areas more easily. For the last seven weeks, IDF attacks on Khan Yunis had focused on the northern and eastern portions of the city.Hospitals, aka Hamas terror bunkers. Biden remains as fully engaged as ever:
A hotspot for Hamas terrorists The IDF called western Khan Yunis the heart of Hamas's operations, including areas where its top two leaders Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif, grew up. The IDF said that this part of Khan Yunis is the densest, offering less room to maneuver, containing a larger number of civilians and sensitive sites, including hospitals.

LA Times Begins Sending Out Pinkslips to 25% of Its "Workers"
Remember that time I accidentally posted porn?
Whoops, I'm doing it again. Paramount Global is cutting "hundreds" of media workers. Learn to... do anything of use.Paramount Global -- the parent company off CBS, Paramount Pictures, Showtime, and numerous other media properties -- is reportedly set to lay off "hundreds" of employees across nearly all of its divisions. The impending cuts represent the latest Hollywood bloodbath following layoffs at other corporations, including Disney, NBCUniversal, Amazon MGM Studios, and Universal Music Group. ... Last year, Paramount slashed 25 percent of its employees across multiple media properties. As part of the reductions, it shut down MTV News. The Breitbart article notes that Hollywood, which of course paid millions to install Joe Biden as president, is being destroyed due to the terrible consumer sentiment caused by Joe Biden's economy. Ad rates are trash and people are cutting out unnecessary expenditures -- like, for streaming services, like Paramount, they don't really need or even like all that much. That reminds me, I have to cancel HBO and Hulu (which I got to inflate the amount of money Disney has to pay Comcast) and Peacock (which I got for Office reruns). The free services Pluto, Tubi, and FreeVee have more than enough content for most people. Meanwhile:
Ben MullinThe LA Times prog idiots had staged a walkout to protest the coming layoffs. Apparently that did not work, and now they're being told they're fired. I mean, "Laid off." (Fani Willis just emailed me to say, "I'd rather be laid on than laid off." She included a picture of Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq.'s shlong, for some reason. First time a woman sent me a dicpic. She then appended a postscript: "PS I know nothing at all about why the guy who I'm riding like I'm Luke Perry in 8 Seconds ended his marriage. Stop being so racist, Racist.")
@BenMullin News: Employees at the Los Angeles Times are beginning to be notified that they are being laid off.
11:05 AM Jan 23, 2024
Matt PearceThey're claiming that 25% of the staff being slashed is a victory for the union?!! What would a loss be, exactly? Maybe the LA Times is losing money because it has entered the "morbidly obese transgender 'model' centerfolds" phase of its decline:
@mattdpearce
L.A. Times management has notified me that 94 @latguild members are being notified of intended layoff today, or about one-fourth of our whole membership. This total, while devastating, is nonetheless far lower than the total number of Guild layoffs initially expected last week.

I'd like to know who's funding Kevin Morris. But I'm sure he can't answer, because that would violate "attorney-client privilege."
I'm not saying there is no such privilege or that it can't apply to some questions. I am very suspicious that he's using "attorney client privilege" as a substitute for "fifth amendment privilege to avoid self-incrimination."In his deposition last week, Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris and his lawyer invoked attorney-client privilege at least 17 times over questions related to his payments and work for Hunter Biden. How does attorney-client privilege cover Kevin Morris' payments to Hunter Biden?
According to the transcript of the testimony reviewed by Just the News, Morris said that he began representing Biden about one week after the December 2019 California fundraiser for his father, Joe Biden, who became president in 2020. The details surrounding this meeting were previously reported by Just the News. Morris' early representation of Hunter Biden allowed him to invoke the privilege frequently, to avoid answering questions about his first meeting with the first son, how he paid Hunter Biden's other attorneys and about the planning for Hunter Biden's defiant speech in front of the Capitol while avoiding complying with his first congressional subpoena. Specifically, Morris attempted to invoke the privilege regarding his acquisition of one of Hunter Biden's companies after Joe Biden's inauguration. ... According to the transcript, Morris claimed that his legal representation of Hunter Biden was "global and complete" and therefore argued that almost any detail of their relationship is off limits to congressional investigators. Yet despite this, Morris told the committee that he had not represented Hunter directly in the past three years. In one example, Morris refused to answer how much in loans he provided to Hunter Biden to pay his legal fees. "So have you paid millions of dollars for Hunter Biden's legal fees via loans?" an investigator asked. "Mr. Morris only knows that from his attorney-client relationship with Mr. Biden and consequently cannot answer that question," Morris' lawyer answered. Morris also initially attempted to invoke the privilege when questioned about his acquisition of Hunter Biden's Skaneateles -- a company that owned a stake in Bohai Harvest RST, a Chinese company from one of Hunter Biden's initial deals in the country. Morris acquired Hunter's stake in November 2021, less than a year after Joe Biden was inaugurated. "How did it come up that you were going to purchase Skaneateles? Or why did you buy Skaneateles of all the companies that Hunter Biden was involved with? Why that one?" investigators asked. "That's privileged. I am not going to answer that because of attorney-client privilege," Morris responded. However, after a brief recess from questioning, his attorney convinced him that he had to answer the question and Morris reversed course. "I did the transaction because, you know, I evaluated it as a businessman, and I thought it was something that could be a very successful investment," Morris said in his new answer. "[B]ut I did diligence on the assets. I knew what ... Hunter paid for it in the beginning, and I saw, and I still see upside," he continued. Yet, earlier in the questioning, Morris was apparently not well informed on what Skaneateles was or what investments BHR makes. "What kind of company was Skaneateles?" the investigators asked. "I mean, I don't know. An LLC, I think," Morris answered. He obviously bought a nonperforming asset just to have a paper transaction that allowed him to put money into Hunter Biden's accounts. Then he claimed that, somehow, deliriously, "attorney-client privilege" allowed him to refuse to answer about buying this "company." More at JusttheNews.

From Oct. 23 to Jan. 17, a total of 47 migrants were arrested in Oak Brook, Illinois, mostly for alleged property crimes, according to Brian Strockis, the chief of police for the Oak Brook Police Department. It would take a heart of stone not to laugh! Sure, a bare majority of the citizens of oak Brook voted Republican, but Northern Illinois is filled with genteel suburban Republicans who are at home with the liberal, globalist, American-hating wing of the party. And as one of their Chicago neighbors said..."America's chickens are coming home to roost." The form of our punishment is the destruction of our society by unbridled illegal immigration: an invasion of people whose ethos and political philosophy is completely alien to the founding principles of America and the marvel of American Exceptionalism that attracted the best and brightest from Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries. Now? We literally have looters! And it's coming to a small town near you! All of those buses and planes taking illegals into the heartland are designed for one thing...to dilute small-town America and unravel the fabric of our society. America can probably manage a de facto default of our government because of insane deficit spending. We can probably survive the loss of Taiwan to the red Chinese. But we cannot survive the invasion from the south. We will become a poor country whose government is fixated on one thing...the transfer payments to the exploding underclass that keep them satiated. And when they end, as they must? Large scale breakdown of society, rampant crime, failure of infrastructure on a scale never seen in America, and the final destruction of a 250 year experiment in self government.

A divided Supreme Court on Monday allowed Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire that Texas installed on the U.S.-Mexico border, while a lawsuit over the wire continues. The justices, by a 5-4 vote, granted an emergency appeal from the Biden administration, which has been in an escalating standoff at the border with Texas and had objected to an appellate ruling in favor of the state. . . . . . Abbott also has authorized installing floating barriers in the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass and allowed troopers to arrest and jail thousands of migrants on trespassing charges. The administration also is challenging those actions in federal court. A federal appeals court last month forced federal agents to stop cutting the concertina wire. Large numbers of migrants have crossed at Eagle Pass in recent months. In court papers, the administration said the wire impedes Border Patrol agents from reaching migrants as they cross the river and that, in any case, federal immigration law trumps Texas’ own efforts to stem the flow of migrants into the country. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor sided with the administration. Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas voted with Texas. No one provided any explanation for their vote.If I want to be charitable, I'd say that Roberts and Coney Island are still operating under the delusion that everything his hunky dory, business as usual and Greg Abbott was a naughty boy by doing what he did. Of course, there is some considerable legal argumentation that a state (and in particular Texas) indeed has precedence over the federal government over aspects of immigration policy and borders, the particulars that going back nearly 200 years themselves. In fact, I would think that someone who sits on SCOTUS or any bench for that matter would know this, but we live in the era of Claudine Gay and Kentanji Brown-25. And that era is post-America. We know that the other three hacks-in-black on the court are Marxist rubber stamps who could care fuck all about the document they are there to allegedly defend, except when they can use it or more likely distort it like a funhouse mirror if political expediency to advance Marxism dictates. As for Roberts and Coney Island, I think their main concern is maintaining status on the D.C. cocktail party circuit. The country is gone. What's going on at the border is just a prime example of not merely this illegitimate junta abandoning its responsibility to defend it, but actively engaging in the border's destruction, the intentional jettisoning of any kind of sane immigration policy and allowing what amounts to a massive invasion of unvetted foreigners into the country. The most benign of which will destabilize our economy and burden the tax-paying citizenry. Many others will endanger the latter via violent crime – and with the non-prosecution via Soros DAs, this is anarcho-terrorism – while a not insignificant subset of those are hell-bent on committing acts of terrorism, perhaps resulting in mass casualty events similar to if not potentially greater than 9/11/01 itself. Worst of all, the junta in DC is even admitting that "it's only a matter of time" until this happens! That now puts the floating barricade directly in Governor Greg Abbott's court. Tucker Carlson had some thoughts on this:
Carlson took to Twitter to claim “everyone in power” has allegedly “decided to destroy the country” in regards to allowing the border crisis to continue. Carlson additionally questioned where the “men of Texas” were, asking why they were not “protecting their state and nation.” “So it’s unanimous: everyone in power, from the White House, to the hedge fund managers, to the Supreme Court of the United States has decided to destroy the country by allowing it to be invaded. That leaves the population to defend itself. Where are the men of Texas? Why aren’t they protecting their state and the nation?” Carlson tweeted out. . . . . . . Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has since responded to the ruling on Twitter, saying the legal battle “is not over.” He added that he will “continue to defend Texas’ constitutional authority to secure the border and prevent the Biden [junta] from destroying our property.” The Texas governor emphasized that the razor wire is “an effective deterrent to the illegal crossings” seen at the border.Governor Abbott, there is no legal battle. The Federal government has obviously, deliberately and intentionally abrogated it's duty and responsibility to protect the citizenry of your state and the entire nation. They have absolutely shattered the social contract between the citizenry and the people who supposedly elected them (the 2020 stolen election notwithstanding). The time is now, the place is Texas and the spotlight is on you. There is only one correct, justified and righteous response to the Supreme Court:

The western Roman Empire maintained the fiction of consuls right to the end. But we have to start somewhere, and the noxious TSA is as good as place as any."
To Save America, Abolish the TSA

Two weeks before a researcher made the genetic sequence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus available to the world, another Chinese scientist quietly posted it to a U.S. government website. The earlier posting doesn't change the virus' origin story ‒ whether it was sparked by a live animal market or leaked from a scientific laboratory. But it does renew questions about how much China knew about the virus and when. It suggests that vaccine development could have started sooner. And it raises new questions about how much the U.S. government knew or should have known about the virus in those early days.Mega-Study: Contrary to the foundational claim of the Decarceration Left, no, minorities do no receive harsher criminal penalties than whites.
An analysis of twenty years of academic literature found that there is little or no evidence that minorities are mistreated by the criminal justice system when it comes to punishment, despite assertions to the contrary by policymakers, media, and academics. "In recent years it has become common belief within the scholarly community as well as the general public that the criminal justice system is biased due to race and class issues. We sought to examine this with meta-analysis. Our results suggest that for most crimes, criminal adjudication in the US is not substantially biased on race or class lines," professors Christopher J. Ferguson and Sven Smith of Stetson University found in a study to be published in the criminology journal Aggression and Violent Behavior and obtained by The Daily Wire. "Overall, this is a cause for optimism," researchers concluded--though their findings also called into question the honesty and rigor of the work conducted by race-fueled scholars, whose weaknesses were highlighted this month in former Harvard president Claudine Gay. As a meta-analysis, the study did not create a new dataset on criminal sentencing and race, but rather examined 51 studies conducted by others looking at the question since 2005. The numbers suggesting no or marginal racial bias in punishment were therefore collected by the existing studies, but those authors often claimed to have found racial bias in their writings, even when their numbers did not back it up. "We express the concern that evidence for racial bias in the U.S. criminal justice system has been consistently weak, and that scholarly narratives have too often ignored this in favor of the systemic racism narrative," Ferguson and Smith wrote.
Skwad member and criminal fire-alarm puller proposed a reparations bill. He just wants a mere $14 trillion.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) proposed a $14 trillion reparations plan Tuesday "for the enslavement of Africans and its lasting harm on the lives of millions of Black people in the United States." The progressive congressman called on the federal government to foot the bill, arguing that there's a way to pay for it "without raising taxes on anyone." RELATED VIDEO -- Chicago Mayor on Increase in Most Violent Crime: "Reparations" Money Will Help: "When COVID was destroying us, we invested in the American people in a way that kept the economy afloat," Bowman told the Journal News in an interview published January 16. "The government can invest the same way in reparations without raising taxes on anyone." "Where did the money come from?" he continued. "We spent it into existence."Yes, we printed up a ton of funny money and it jacked inflation up to backbreaking levels. We just devalued all the dollars in existence, which is exactly the equivalent of taxing people and just taking a portion of their wealth from them.
Bowman is among nine sponsors in support of H.R. 414, a resolution introduced by Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) in May 2023 to recognize that the U.S. "has a moral and legal obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of Africans and its lasting harm on the lives of millions of Black people in the United States."

But I can't ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources. We don't have a clear path to victory. Accordingly, I am today suspending my campaign." "It's clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," he said, adding: "He has my endorsement because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents."

I'm really tired of the "false flag" bullshit, from both the left and the right. Whenever something happens that damages one faction's political standing, some will begin claiming that this incident was actually conducted by the opposing faction in order to reduce the original faction's political standing.
Did a mass shooting cause problems for the right's (constitutionally correct) pro gun rights position? No problem, we'll just claim that the shooting was actually conducted by the left, in order to boost the polling for gun control by 2-3 points for 2-3 weeks. It's so fucking stupid and ignorant. It's embarrassing. And it's always the same tired syllogism, with the same lack of evidence. The only evidence is this: This incident has set our cause back, therefore, our enemies actually perpetrated this incident to damage us. And now, as Hamas and its allies realize just how badly their terror-rape offensive (in both senses of the word) has damaged their military and propaganda position, they begin claiming, "You know, it was really Israel who did this whole time, just to give them a false flag justification to invade Gaza. The terrorists did this with 9/11, too: When 9/11 turned out to be not the opening shot in an Islamic revolution that would topple the west, but the shot that caused the toppling of Islamist terror states, terror apologists started taking the credit away from Osama bin Ladin, who they had just spent months lionizing as the Hero of 9/11, to claim that the hated Jews and Americans had akshually conducted the 9/11 attacks. From The Washington Post:Sure, the "right-wing Holocaust deniers," all 200 of them, have to be mentioned so that the Washington Post's leftwing alliance partners don't have to bear this shame alone. Below: "Allegedly."
A small but growing group denies the basic facts of the attacks, pushing a spectrum of falsehoods and misleading narratives that minimize the violence or dispute its origins. Some argue the ambush was staged by the Israeli military to justify an invasion of Gaza. Others say that some 240 hostages Hamas took into Gaza were actually kidnapped by Israel. Some contend the United States is behind the plot... It's bleeding into the real world: Demonstrators have shouted the claim at anti-Israel protests and have used it to justify removing posters of hostages in cities like London and Chicago. At a November city council meeting in Oakland, Calif., multiple residents disputed the veracity of the attack... "So basically the Hamas attack was a false flag for Israel to occupy Gaza and kill Palestinians," reads a recent post on the Reddit forum r/LateStageCapitalism. "Expected behaviour from nazi wannabes." LateStageCapitalism is a community of left-wing activists that bills itself as "A One-Stop-Shop for Evidence of our Social, Moral and Ideological Rot."But the claim can be found elsewhere on the internet, including publications critical of Israel like Electronic Intifada and GrayZone, and in messaging groups like Monte's Uncensored Truths, which previously had been focused on pandemic-related gripes about vaccines and conspiratorial ideas about "globalists" ushering in a so-called New World Order. Right-wing Holocaust deniers also have latched onto the claims.

Woke Transgender Healthy-At-Any-Size Sports Illustrated Fires Either a "Significant" Portion of Its Staffs, or All of Them
After Film Threat's Alan Ng posted a review of Wish -- which has made only $67 million domestically, after an entire month in theaters -- calling it "the worst animated film in Disney's history," Disney animators, both current and escaped, contacted him to share their experiences in DEIsney. All white men are being driven out, and those who aren't fired are made uncomfortable enough that they either retire or leave to work for computer game companies or the like.
The first article about the reports of Disney's animators, fleeing a regime in which it is common to hear coworkers announce "Pale and male is stale," is here. It's about the first moves towards moving out the Old White Men to replace them with DEIsney diversity hires. The first move was getting rid of Pixar legend John Lasseter -- for allegedly hugging women and similar "abuses" that sound, at worse, to be annoyances that could be taken care of with an HR meeting and a boot in his ass.Though we have no details regarding what happened to John during this time, other high-profile Disney firings included lengthy "struggle sessions" and high-pressure sensitivity training that I will highlight in future reports.... It became apparent within the walls of Disney that anyone supporting Lasseter must immediately go into protection mode by keeping their questions and opinions to themselves. The office culture at the House of Mouse changed drastically overnight. Sources observed that the mood was grim, going from bad to worse. The warm family environment would never return. Regarding Lasseter's innocence or guilt, our sources did not outright believe or not believe the accusation against Lasseter, but they had questions. Questions that they knew would never be answered. Alternately, many felt that an activist faction within the company was growing and conspiring to remove Lasseter, and his inappropriate behavior was the perfect weapon to use against him. Now, it was a matter of how to frame these stories for maximum effect. The DEI brigades barely bother hiding it -- allegations against White Men are just made to move "Pale Males" out of jobs, so that the DEI crowd (mostly white leftwing women, most of the time) can take them. DEIsney then set out to... erase John Lasseter, a man who had made them more of a billion dollars, from the DEIsney record books.
So now it appeared the pieces were in place with certain executives wanting to oust Lasseter and a growing faction within the rank-and-file pressing forward with a stack of allegations against him that to this day goes unprosecuted and unproven. With pressure from the top and bottom, in June 2018, Lasseter announced that he would leave the company at the end of the year. One source told us that during an all-hands meeting, once the announcement was made, a female employee raised her hand and asked, "Can we have a woman run this place now?"
Now Film Threat has released their second exposee on DEIsney. This is about the culture of fear that now reigns in the animation departments. Because the DEI enforcement officers want it that way.
The message was clear -- John Lasseter left the Walt Disney Company an utter and total disgrace. Disney Legend...forget it. In fact, moves have been made within the halls of Disney to remove his legacy as if he never existed. Anything that reminded the rank-and-file of Lasseter was removed from plain sight. Are Hawaiian shirts even allowed to be worn on campus anymore? Or heaven forbid, you should utter the phrase, "When John was here..." Publicly, it's not much better. I recently mentioned John's name to a Disney-fanatic friend, and their instant retort was, "he's a bad man." The worst part of the entire experience was the leadership vacuum created by John's absence. Our sources describe life at Disney afterward as hostile--to say the least--and this hostility spread to all of Disney's business units and brands. Cast Members felt like they were constantly walking on eggshells. The mere act of casting doubt or asking questions about the allegations was met with hostility. You became a marked person, subjected to mind-numbing HR meetings and forced sensitivity training. It gets worse. ... Though he was never officially charged with formal harassment claims or indictment, and we have very little evidence one way or the other, our sources point to the talent who eventually defected from Disney and followed Lasseter to Skydance Animation as an indicator of the veracity of allegations laid against him.
This was Lasseter's last film, so they began changing wholesale to erase his paternity of it. They also began firing the people producing it, Briggs and Wellins, because they "didn't fit the correct demographic."
If there was ever a time to radically change Disney from the inside, that time was now. With Lasseter out of the way, he was replaced at Disney Animation by Jennifer Lee and Pete Docter at Pixar... Still, in the case of Disney Animation, radical changes needed to be made in the racial and gender makeup of its leadership and creative process. This change began with Raya and the Last Dragon.
Rumor has it that Lee was gunning for Briggs and Wellins by foisting impossible tasks on them to either get them fired or, better yet, force them to quit. Being the veteran talent that they were, the traps didn't work. Briggs was demoted to "co-director," and Wellins was given a Disney+ series to direct. ... From here, Raya and the Last Dragon turned from being a traditional Disney animated production to slowly transforming into Disney's first DEI test case. Step one was to load the entire project with female South Asian animators and talent from within the company, then female Asian animators, then female POC animators, and the rest. But that wasn't enough. Rather than pull in other artists from within, a major recruitment push was made to hire more women from outside the company to reach a 50/50 male/female balance for equity's sake. ...More at the link. Ng concludes:
Sources tell us that with Raya and the Last Dragon, the goal wasn't to bring diversity, equity, and inclusion into the existing community of Disney animators but to replace it with a radicalized group of female activists completely. [One] source also told us that once she expressed concerns about the mission of WiA, she found herself blacklisted from the industry (a prevalent story we've heard) and felt that WiA and similar organizations had become the gatekeepers for women to enter animation. It's not enough as an animator to be a talented female person of color; you have to be "WiA-Approved" and toe the line. Another example of this new activist culture is the formation of a segregated women's committee that meets regularly to pitch ideas, network, vent, look at storyroom strategies, listen to guest speakers, and empower each other to take on leadership roles. Many of these sessions are sponsored by WiA and strictly for "female-identifying and non-binary people." Can you imagine going into a creative meeting knowing that half the room has already made all the decisions beforehand? These meetings are literal war rooms as so-called creative sessions are now considered battlefields. Now, imagine if you disagreed with one of their ideas. Shots fired! I'm sure there's a large bag of "ists" nearby to hurl your way.
The next update, he says, will be about the culture of fear extending to even DEIsney cast members. (That is, people wearing Mickey Mouse suits at the parks.) And speaking of woke animation: Amazon decided to make a child-friendly cartoon portraying Satan as the hero and God the villain of the War in Heaven.
The mission of DEI is not equality...it's revenge. The final outcome is a complete takeover...a reset...of the entertainment industry as a whole.
