Well, this will be short and decidedly not sweet.

Perhaps the single best thing about President Donald Trump is his total and complete rejection of the deeply offensive concept that America is responsible for the security and economic success of the entire world. Post World War II American politicians drifted from the undeniable success of the Marshall Plan, which was intended to be a temporary assistance plan for Western Europe.

Of course it turned into a catastrophic, permanent, independence-sapping welfare scheme for Europe. They didn't have to look out for themselves militarily, courtesy of America's financing of NATO, so they squandered that economic boon by turning Western Europe into a massive welfare super-state.

And our politicians, not content to be Western Europe's sugar-daddy, expanded that attitude to every single country on earth! The complex web of funding every tinpot dictator and nascent "democracy" is buried deep in our massive government budgets, and that funding has morphed into a vile attitude that the people of the United States are for some reason on the hook for the success of the world.

There is a huge difference between supporting our strategic allies, and funding the economic growth of the world. And Donald Trump understands that.

India sends high-level team to Washington as Trump's $100K visa fee takes effect -- 'afraid of our talent'

The Ministry of External Affairs over the weekend warned that the move could have "humanitarian consequences" while another minister suggested the global community was "a little afraid of our talent."

So this cocksucker seems to think that we are obligated to employ hundreds of thousands of Indians because their remittances support the Indian economy? Or maybe India is dumping their retard junior engineers on America because their sclerotic and over-regulated economy can't employ them? Either way, it isn't our problem, and suggesting that it is makes him sound like the beggar that he is!

"H-1B visas are not being used to fill occupational shortages or obtain highly skilled workers who are unavailable in the United States," the White House said in a statement. "Reports also indicate that many American tech companies have laid off their qualified and highly skilled American workers and simultaneously hired thousands of H-1B workers."

Ah...we get to the crux of the matter. Corporate America loves it some indentured servitude, and compliant Indians make the best ones!

So, the short answer to India is: F*ck off, and fund your own country with homegrown industry. And to corporate America? Also: F*ck off, and start employing Americans rather than your pets from third-world sh*tholes at low wages and no economic mobility.

That someone took pot shots at an ABC TV station after Kimmel got the hook is bad enough, but that the psycho was allowed to post bail was outrageous as saner heads have prevailed. At least for the time being.

FBI Director Kash Patel said on Monday that the suspect who allegedly opened fire on ABC10’s television station in the wake of Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension is back in custody. Federal authorities arrested 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez Santana for allegedly violating statute 47 USC 333, which criminalizes interference with licensed broadcasts, Patel announced on X. Santana had been initially released from custody on a $200,000 bond on Saturday after allegedly firing three bullets into the window of the station’s lobby on Friday.

On a separate note, Ted Cruz continues to underwhelm.

The Chairman said, “The FCC could make a strong argument that this is sort of an intentional effort to mislead the American people about a very core fundamental fact, a very important matter.” Cruz said on his podcast, “And I’ve got to say, that’s right out of Goodfellas. That’s right out of a mafioso coming into a bar going, ‘Nice bar you have here, it’d be a shame if something happened to it.’” He then claimed that this would create a new precedent for the left to one day censor conservatives.

Newsflash for Ted, the media and Democrats in general have been persecuting and censoring anyone to the right of Nikita Khrushchev for years. Pfft.

Finally, if President Trump is serious in his labeling of Antifa as a terrorist organization, this piece of shit needs to be waterboarded until he spills the beans about all his contacts.

Trump Orders the Collection of $100,000 for Every New H-1B Visa and the Corporate Oligarch Left Melts Down

Oh no, American companies might be forced to train and employ actual American citizens.

There are billion-dollar companies whose only service is applying for H-1B visas and then selling them to people looking for work. Many of these billion-dollar H-1B grifter companies are Indian. Currently, 71% of all H-1B applicants are Indian. 11.7% are Chinese.

Trump is driving up the cost to hire a foreigner over an American. Supposedly these visas are for jobs of high talent and skill for which there are few qualified American workers. In reality, these visas are bought just to do fairly low-level, routine jobs in tech so that they these greedy corporations can just save a buck while pretending not to be evil.

President Donald Trump raised the fee for an H-1B visa to $100,000 on Friday, leaving companies scrambling to respond.

As of Sunday, H-1B visa applications will require a $100,000 payment. Previously, visa fees ranged from $2,000 to $5,000 per application, depending on the size of the company.

The fee will only be applied to new H-1B applicants, not renewals or current visa holders. The fee will be implemented in the upcoming lottery cycle.

What did Trump change?

As of Sunday, H-1B visa applications will require a $100,000 payment. Previously, visa fees ranged from $2,000 to $5,000 per application, depending on the size of the company.

Employers now must have documentation of the payment prior to filing an H-1B petition on behalf of a worker. Applicants will have their petitions restricted for 12 months until the payment is made, according to the White House.

Leavitt also clarified that the $100,000 is a one-time payment and not an annual charge.

Exceptions can be made to any immigrant whose employment is deemed essential in the national interest by the Secretary of Homeland Security and does not pose a threat to the security or welfare of the U.S.

Employees with B visas who have start dates prior to October 2026 will also receive additional guidance in order to prevent using those temporary business visas as a workaround for H-1B visas.

Who are these workers and why are they needed?

H-1B visas allows highly skilled foreign professionals to work in specialty occupations that generally require at least a bachelor's degree to fulfill the role. Jobs in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, usually qualify.

Many employers use H-1B workers to fill the gaps in these highly technical roles that are not found within the American labor supply.

Bullshit. Companies like Disney force workers in fairly minor paper-pushing, number-crunching jobs to train their new Indian replacements, and then fire them. I'm not saying these jobs don't require training and skill. But I am saying that you can miss me with this "highly-skilled workers in specialized technical fields for which no Americans are trained" horseshit.

When Disney orders American workers to train their own imported, largely Indian replacements, obviously Americans exist to do those jobs. Disney just wants to pay people less money to do them.

Companies in the tech and finance sectors rely heavily on these specially-skilled immigrants, particularly from India and China, which accounted for 71% and 11.7% of visa holders last year, respectively.

How many H-1B visas does the tech industry use every year?

The current annual cap for H-1B visas is 65,000, along with an additional 20,000 visas for foreign professionals with a master's degree or doctorate from a U.S. institution. A lottery system is used to select additional petitions if demand exceeds the cap.

Since 2012, about 60% or more of approved H-1B workers had computer-related jobs, according to Pew Research.

Amazon was the top employer for H-1B holders in the fiscal year 2025, sponsoring over 10,000 applicants by the end of June, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Microsoft and Meta had over 5,000 each, while Apple and Google rounded out the top six with over 4,000 approvals.

Trump Announces "Breakthrough" in Autism: Will Warn Women Not to Take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) During Pregnancy

Here's NPR to immediately dismiss the so-far unreleased study and declare that the link between Tylenol use during pregnancy is not "conclusively" proven yet.

The Trump administration is expected to assert later today that use of acetaminophen -- the active ingredient in Tylenol -- can increase the risk of autism when used during pregnancy, despite the fact that scientific research has not conclusively demonstrated a causal link.

He also said that there may be a cure for autism -- Vitamin B in a special form.

White House officials are also expected to suggest that a form of vitamin B that is typically used in conjunction with cancer treatment could be used to treat autism.

"We're gonna have one of the biggest announcements, really, medically, I think, in the history of our country," President Trump said Sunday night, referring to a press conference scheduled for Monday afternoon. "I think we found an answer to autism."

This would be the administration's latest move questioning the science of commonly used medications, from vaccines to abortion medications, and stirring up controversy in what many say is an effort to undermine the scientific establishment and advance a political agenda.

Oh no -- we might cure autism and reduce the number of new cases, but whatever we do, we mustn't undermine the scientific establishment that has been batting 0.174 for the past fifteen years.

(Remember the faked data claiming that Alzheimer's was caused by brain plaque? Which then caused us to spend ten years and billions in research on a medical dead-end?)

The NYTimes also claims that the science is "mixed" so we should just ignore it.

Kennedy Said to Focus on Unproven Link Between Common Painkiller and Autism

A federal report on Monday is expected to point to acetaminophen, the active ingredient in painkillers like Tylenol. But research into a possible connection has yielded mixed results.

Federal health officials are expected to link rising rates of autism to the use of acetaminophen, the active ingredient in the common painkiller Tylenol, in a report to be released on Monday. Scientists have studied a potential connection for years, but the research so far has yielded inconclusive results.

"I think it's a very big factor," President Trump told reporters on Sunday, referring to acetaminophen.

The agency plans to warn pregnant women against using acetaminophen except in case of fever, The Washington Post reported on Sunday. "If there's a question -- even if there's a question -- you just do it right?" Mr. Trump said to reporters aboard Air Force One.

He is expected to make an official announcement from the White House at 4 p.m.

Acetaminophen is considered one of the few safe options to treat pain or fever during pregnancy. Doctors already routinely warn pregnant women against long-term use.

The NYTimes has never found a "scientific" or environmental panic it didn't immediately declare to be both true and frightening, so one wonders how much they're being paid to suddenly develop a sense of skepticism.

Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett claimed on Sunday that it caused her anguish to see that only two white lawmakers voted against the resolution honoring Charlie Kirk on Friday.

Every Republican voted in favor of the resolution, but 58 Democrats voted against it, including Crockett and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who both cited their disagreement with his political views. Crockett asserted on CNN's "State of the Union" that Kirk "specifically targeted people of color" with his "rhetoric."

"One of the things I do want to point out that's not been laid out, that honestly hurts my heart, is when I saw the no votes, there were only two caucasians," Crockett said. "For the most part, the only people that voted no were people of color."

"Because the rhetoric that Charlie Kirk continuously put out there was rhetoric that specifically targeted people of color," she continued. "And so it is unfortunate that even our colleagues could not see how harmful his rhetoric was, specifically to us."

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his leadership team voted in support of the measure, while 38 House Democrats voted "present" on the resolution and 22 did not vote.

"Such acts of politically motivated violence are antithetical to the principles of a free republic, in which differences of opinion are to be debated--not silenced--with civility, reason, and mutual respect," the resolution reads in part.

Ocasio-Cortez smeared Kirk during remarks on the House floor.

"We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was. A man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted black Americans the right to vote was a mistake," she said. "Who after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi said, 'some amazing patriot' should bail out his brutal assailant and accused Jews of controlling 'not just the colleges, it's the nonprofits, it's the movies, it's Hollywood, it's all of it.'"

"His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans far from 'working tirelessly to promote unity' asserted by the majority in this resolution," she added.

Several liberals and left-leaning outlets have made false claims about Kirk and have misquoted him.

Bullet-Firing But Mostly Peaceful Protester Shouts "Free Palestine" and Murders One, Shoots Another In the Face

Note that this article omits to mention his cry of "Free Palestine!" as he murdered one and shot another victim in the face.

"We may never know the motive," they promised.

A man was charged with second-degree murder after a shooting Saturday night at a country club in Nashua in which one person was killed and several other people were injured, some while trying to flee the chaotic scene.

The Attorney General's Office said Hunter Nadeau, 23, of Nashua, allegedly shot and killed Robert DeCesare, 59, in an attack at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.

An autopsy on DeCesare is scheduled for Monday.

Nadeau, meanwhile, is scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. Monday. Formella said additional charges are likely.

Investigators said Nadeau shot and wounded two other people, including one who worked at the restaurant and one who was a patron. Meanwhile, at least four other people suffered other non-gunshot injuries as they tried to flee.

Nashua Fire Rescue said on Sunday that two people who were wounded were taken by vehicle to the Spit Brook Road fire station, where aid was given to one person with a gunshot wound to the face and one person with a hand laceration. Both were taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and the gunshot victim was flown to a Boston hospital, fire authorities said.

Attorney General John Formella said the victim flown to a Boston hospital is in in critical condition, but the victim is said to be stable.

The NYPost reports what WMUR censors -- the gunman screamed "Free Palestine!" as he committed murder.

He also shouted "the children are safe" which could be a reference to the trans extremists' claim that we must protect the children... from people who don't want to lop off healthy body parts.

The armed maniac, wearing a mask, stormed into the wedding, flipped off the guests and shouted "the children are safe" and "Free Palestine," witnesses told local media.

"Getting together for a dance for the bride and groom and then all chaos went off," Tom Bartelson, the uncle of the groom, said. "We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover and next thing you know we're rushed into safe spots and things like that."

Officials said it's not clear whether the attack was targeted or random, and they have not determined a motive.

"And we never will," Nashua prosecutors added.

Biden's Chief of Staff Jeff Zients: After the Debate, I Suggested Biden Take a Cognitive Test (which He Refused)

I wrote about this last week, based on National Review reporting by Audrey Fahlberg.

But this is new.

Former White House chief of staff Jeff Zients revealed to Congress Thursday that former President Joe Biden's memory and decision-making capability deteriorated while in office, according to a source familiar with the ex-aide's transcribed interview.

Zients, who declined to answer reporter questions, also told the House Oversight Committee that he told White House physician Kevin O'Connor that Biden should have "a full medical workup" -- including a cognitive exam -- after his disastrous June 27, 2024, debate performance, added the source.

In that forum, the Democrat stumbled over his words, spoke with a soft and raspy voice, and delivered non-sequiturs about public policy -- declaring at one point that his administration had "finally beat Medicare."

Biden's campaign and White House flacks dismissed the fumbles at the time, claiming the president had a "cold" -- though he was spotted within minutes of the debate's end at a Waffle House.

But Zients claimed the "mental freezes" aides observed were unprecedented, the source related.

"Unprecedented." We in the public saw them all the time, but Biden's chief of staff never, ever saw them before. He swears. Def don't indict him for perjury.

Ex-senior White House communications adviser Anita Dunn and former national security adviser Jake Sullivan apparently stressed the importance of a cognitive exam, while former Cabinet officials such as Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and VA Secretary Denis McDonough -- as well as Secretary of State Antony Blinken -- didn't think Biden had the juice for a second term.

Several donors also expressed alarm, with one suggesting that the president's use of a teleprompter to address an intimate campaign fundraiser was concerning.

Over the course of a six-hour grilling by Oversight staff, Zients also revealed that Biden began having "difficulty remembering dates and names," while "decisions that once required three meetings eventually began to require a fourth," according to the first source.

Those age-related issues were also a subject of conversation in the West Wing throughout the former president's term, with first lady Jill Biden asking that her husband not be "over-scheduled" and be allowed to "return to the residence" earlier in the day, this person said.

This codger "worked" from the crack of 11am to Early Bird Special midnight, 4pm.

Damn those are the exact hours I try to keep.

[Biden's neurologist and dementia doctor] O'Connor, who purportedly considered giving Biden the cognitive test, and Jill Biden's chief of staff Anthony Bernal previously pleaded the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer questions from the Republican-led panel -- and Zients spoke with both of them about the president's "age issues," according to the first source.

This isn't in the story, but we've heard this before: Supposedly, when it was proposed that Biden take a cognitive test -- I mean, one they would disclose to the public; I'm 100% sue-me certain that they gave him ones before that he'd failed -- they decided against it because there was no political upside for Biden.

Well, there would have been a political upside if he passed it, because by then 60% of the public said publicly that he was mentally impaired and the other 40% lied.

So when they say there would be no "political upside," that's because they knew he'd already begun failing them in 2015.

Texas A&M’s Woke President Finally Forced Out After Persistently Resisting Texas’ Ban on DEI / LGBT Indoctrination

Mark Welsh III is a left-wing proponent of DEI, LGBT indoctrination, and remedying “white privilege.” He also looks dashing in an Air Force officer’s uniform, and he previously served as the Air Force Chief of Staff. That military bearing was apparently enough to hoodwink Texas politicians and the regents at Texas A&M University into appointing him president of the university in 2023.

After persistently working to subvert the ban on DEI and LGBT indoctrination at taxpayer-funded Texas universities, and thanks to one brave student who caught him on tape defending his defiance, Mark Welsh was finally forced to step down last week. This is another important victory for the populist right in uprooting the woke rot that has captured so many institutions.

One Texas state representative, Brian Harrison, deserves huge credit for his unrelenting campaign to drive President Welsh out of the academic office he was unfit for.

Welsh’s resignation caps a period of public uproar sparked by his handling of a children’s literature course that included instruction on introducing LGBT and gender identity material to children as young as three.

The situation came under public scrutiny after State Rep. Brian Harrison (R–Midlothian) released audio of a student objecting to the curriculum and subsequent allegations that the student was kicked out of class for expressing concerns about transgender indoctrination. Initially, Welsh defended the professor involved but later reversed himself—firing the instructor and removing the department head and dean from their posts.

Further below is an embedded Twitter chain that includes the student’s hidden recording of both the professor who was pushing LGBT indoctrination for small children, as well as President Welsh’s strident defense of the professor, which also constituted a strident refusal to comply with the law and with the orders of the governor of Texas.

When the student met with President Welsh, he asked her: ”Tell me what exactly you want changed. I mean, you’re, you’re just trying to pick a fight here. What do you want.”

To which she replied, “No sir, I’m not trying to pick a fight.”

After a little more chatter, Welsh asked the student, “What do you expect us to do, fire her?”

The student replied, “Yes, absolutely, because it goes against…”

At which point President Welsh cut her off and scolded her, “Well that’s not happening.”

Regarding why a children’s literature class is providing training on LGBT indoctrination, President Welch told the student, there is a “professional reason” why A&M is using taxpayer funds to promote transgenderism for children.

Once Rep. Harrison released the audio, Mark Welsh went into CYA mode. Despite what he had told the student, Welsh did indeed have to ultimately fire the instructor and also the dean, hoping that action would be enough to take the heat off of him. But Aggie alumni were outraged, and soon Governor Abbott and the A&M regents were feeling the heat too. Welsh had to go.

Mark Welsh was a disastrous hire from the start. President Obama had previously appointed him as Air Force Chief of Staff in 2012 (which also put Welsh on the armed forces’ Joint Chiefs of Staff) for the purpose of injecting radical left wing identity politics into the military. How radical is Welsh? He advocated for the concept of “white privilege,” stating in 2020 that “While we could argue over the definition of ‘White Privilege,’ there is no question in my mind that it exists. I should know, I grew up with it. Not because I wanted it; not because I asked for it: not because my family or I agreed with it; not because I tried to take advantage of it; and not because I, or anyone else I knew, actively promoted it or even thought about it; but just because it was a reality in our country, and I was white .”

Rep. Harrison sent a widely distributed letter to Governor Abbott on September 8, 2025 that left Abbott and the university regents with little choice but to dismiss Welsh, it read:

The Morning Report — 9/22/25

Good morning kids. With everything going on I had meant to pause last week and recognize the 9th anniversary of the Morning Report. Wow, 9 years?!

The recognition is not about me, it's about all of you who come here each morning and weigh in with your thoughts about what's going on and on my observations about same. The running joke those who write "I've only read the comments," but more often than not, reading just the comments is enough to make the uninformed that much better for doing so! And for that I thank each and every one of you.

First and foremost, I thank Ace for giving me the incredible opportunity to let me do my thing as it were each and every weekday morning. I also want to extend a big thank you to the Cobs for all their support and comradeship. The last couple of years have been challenging personally for me as I continue to deal with some serious health issues, which thankfully I seem to be handling well. I cannot thank you enough for all of your prayers and good wishes and despite all the insanity out there, the ability to do this every day actually has kept me sane.

And with that said, let us get right to the insanity, first up is the western world and one of the wellsprings from whence Western Civilization emerged from the barbarism and savagery of the Dark Ages – Britain and its former colonies continuing their mass surrender to Islam:

The United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia announced on Sunday they now recognize Palestine as a state, despite accusations that it would be rewarding the Islamist Hamas terrorists behind the October 7th terror attacks on Israel.

One day before the beginning of the Rosh Hashanah Jewish New Year celebrations, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced that the UK would recognize Palestine statehood. The move pre-empted plans from France to back the measure this week at the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York. . .

While bestial savage Muslim hordes rampage across the UK and a number of European countries murdering and raping innocent women and children as they go, with governments imprisoning anyone for the more heinous crime of protesting it, Starmerbahnfuhrer has the fucking gall to reward a fictitious people, with a fictitious history – their actual history of bloody butchery of Jews and Christians in Israel and across the world in general, with statehood after conducting the bloodiest mass-slaughter of Jews since the end of the Second World War.

Two state solution my ass. The ultimate goal is to drive out or slaughter every Jew and every Christian that lives within the state of Israel. And in point of fact the ultimate goal of Islam is to convert/subjugate and or slaughter every non-Muslim on planet earth, which has been its goal for close to 1500 years and counting.

Palestine was born in a KGB conference room with Yasser Arafat, for the sole purpose of using the issue to drive America out of the Middle East and place the region and its oil in the Soviet sphere of influence.

. . . “So, today, to revive the hope of peace for the Palestinians and Israelis, and a two-state solution, the United Kingdom formally recognises the State of Palestine.” Starmer denied that this would represent a “reward” for Hamas, saying that his push for a two-state solution would be the “exact opposite of [Hamas’s] hateful vision,” as it would ultimately require the terror group to give up control of Gaza. Turning to Israel, the PM accused Jerusalem of conducting a “relentless and increasing bombardment of Gaza,” adding: “The starvation and devastation are utterly intolerable. Tens of thousands have been killed, including thousands as they tried to collect food and water. This death and destruction horrifies all of us. It must end.”

As colleague, co-blogger and co-podcastulator CBD and I have noted on the podcast and in our respective columns many times it is quite likely that Westminster Abbey will be turned into another Hagia Sophia perhaps some time in the next 20 years or so, ditto Notre Dame and perhaps every cathedral across Western Europe.

And as we await that nightmare scenario, we still must endure this right here in the US of A.

A Nashua country club where a wedding was taking place turned into a war zone when a gunman opened fire while declaring “Free Palestine”. One man is reportedly dead and a number of others are wounded in the attack that took place in the restaurant at the Sky Meadow Country Club. There was a wedding at the country club at the time and the couple did not appear to be Jewish. There’s no apparent reason why it would be the target of a terrorist attack, but that’s what happens when the ‘intifada’ gets globalized. The attack could have been worse, but one of the men on the scene smashed a chair over the shooter’s head.

Not that I want any kind of attack like this but if only it took place at the whites-only country club where US Senator Sheldon Whorehouse still maintains his VIP membership. If he had surrendered it, no doubt he dons boot black dresses up as a lawn jockey and only enters late at night when no one's looking.

Of course Islamophobia is defined as an irrational fear of Islam. So we better get our heads examined – before they get lopped off with a rusty hacksaw:

While we are busy fighting with each other in this country (Left and Right), you may not have noticed that one Muslim-dominant community in Michigan is trying to impose its values on its residents and destroy our own:

A street once named to honor a Revolutionary War hero has now been partly rebranded for a man critics link to Hezbollah. That culture clash came to a boil not just on the pavement but inside Dearborn’s city hall on Wednesday, September 10 – where the mayor stunned residents by telling a local taxpayer he wasn’t welcome in his own hometown after the man criticized the renaming of a portion of Warren Avenue to honor a controversial figure in Arab-American culture, Osama Siblani. (Michigan News Source.) . . . This is not the first controversy that Dearborn has experienced. And given the determination to bring in the Muslim influence, it probably won’t be the last.

We shall see who gets the last word in Dearborn, and indeed in America and who gets their tongues carved out.

In a not unrelated note, yesterday saw the most amazing memorial service for Charlie Kirk. He was and is indeed a martyr for the cause of liberty and the American way.

God bless his memory and may millions more be inspired by his life and beliefs to save this nation and lead to our revival and ultimately, the revival of Western civilization itself, the founding of this nation being the crowning achievement in the advancement of human development over the course of thousands of years.

Beautiful, gracious, courageous, and good Erika Kirk gave the most powerful, bravest speech we will ever witness at the memorial service to her husband in a packed stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
We see clearly why Charlie Kirk chose her to be his wife.
“My husband Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life. 
“On the Cross, our Savior said: ‘Father forgive them for they not know what they do.’ ” Looking up at a giant image of her husband overhead, through sobs, and swallowed anger, Erika Kirk said: “That young man, I forgive him.” 
The crowd rose to its feet and roared its admiration for the widow standing in front of them in a white pantsuit, her long blonde hair shining like a Viking warrior woman.
“I forgive him because it is what Christ did,” she said. “It is what Charlie would do. 
“The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the Gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”

. . . Kirk’s organization has been flooded with tens of thousands of requests from schools and universities to start a new chapter or join an existing one.
“The blood of the martyr is the seed of the Church, and Charlie’s message has been heard by millions and millions who would otherwise never have heard of it,” says Kirk’s right-hand man and Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet.
Kolvet revealed that Kirk’s surgeon said it was an “absolute miracle” that the bullet that killed [Kirk] got lodged in his spine and didn’t exit his body and kill someone else. [His] bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel.

Food Thread: Corny But Good!

One of the things we missed during our Lutetian sojourn was corn. Good old American summer corn. For the last several years it has been particularly good around here, for reasons that are completely opaque. My guess is that most of it comes from Pennsylvania, or maybe even closer, since it has been wonderfully fresh and sweet. Not "picked from an Iowa cornfield" fresh, but excellent nonetheless.

Sadly, the Frogs don't eat corn...they feed it to their livestock. That is their loss, because a good ear of corn is a wondrous thing. It is one of their many flaws as a culture, but we should be kind and not make too much fun of them.

Anyway, we have been eating a lot of corn, since it is the end of the season! And a few days ago I noticed that one of the ears was curiously twisted, unlike it's brother right next to it! Odd, maybe strange, certainly disturbing, and very possibly demonic.

But it sure tasted good, so All's Well That Ends Well!
