Hunter Biden Knew Exactly Who Was Buying His "Art" -- Putting Lie to the Claim That He Didn't Know His "Patrons," and Therefore Could Not Deliver Political Favors to His Donors
Hunter Taunts Congress

Surprise! Everything Hunter Biden and his corrupt rapist father tell you are lies.

Biden's Handlers had assure the public that Hunter's "art" sales (to politically-interested patrons) could not possibly result in political favoritism, because they were setting up a Special Secret System to keep the buyers anonymous. If Hunter and Joe Biden didn't even know who the buyers were, they couldn't deliver favors to them, right?

Unless the buyers just told them they bought the "art" and how much money they gave Hunter through the "sale," of course.

But don't worry about that last part, because the "art" dealer never bothered setting up this Special Secret System anyway, and apparently Biden's Handlers never pursued the scheme they claimed they were implementing.

Hunter Biden's Manhattan art dealer said Tuesday that he never worked with the White House on an ethics pact to ensure buyers would remain anonymous -- and added that the top purchasers were known to the first son, contrary to prior claims from President Biden's aides.

Georges Berges also revealed that in addition to the lack of supposed anti-corruption safeguards he actually met and spoke on the phone with the president while repping his son, the House Oversight Committee said in a readout of a closed-door deposition.

I'm sure they just talked about the weather. That's the go-to lie when Biden chats up Hunter's "business associates," right?

The art dealer testified that Hunter, 53, knew who bought about 70% of his art -- including Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, who obtained works by the first son both before and after scoring a prestigious presidential appointment.

...

The high-stakes testimony came as the Oversight Committee spearheads an impeachment inquiry into whether the elder Biden was corruptly involved with his son and brother James's foreign ventures while vice president.

Hirsh Naftali, who scored repeated visits to the White House during the timeframe in question, inked a $42,000 sale in February 2021, before her appointment that July by Joe Biden to the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad, and then another for $52,000 in December 2022.

Berges also confirmed that the first son was aware that Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris, who met Hunter at a political fundraiser in December 2019 before bankrolling his tax payments and living expenses, was his top patron, buying $875,000 worth of art in a January 2023 deal.

Oh, the Sugar Brother who "loaned" Hunter $2 million to pay the taxes he was avoiding then ponied up almost another million for Hunter's "artworks"?

If I didn't know better, I'd say that deep-pocketed Democrats seeking and receiving favors from Biden and his handlers are just bribing Joe Biden by handing huge sums of money to the talentless, worthless crackhead Hunter Biden, thereby paying for his legal bills and keeping him from having to sell his body as the ugliest, smelliest gay prostitute in DC.

More at the link.

Hunter Biden basically begged the House to instruct the Sergeant at Arms to place him under arrest by showing up for the hearing where the House Oversight Committee was debating contempt charges against him, while continuing to flout their subpoenas:

Manu Raju
@mkraju

Wild scene inside House Oversight.

Nancy Mace attacks Hunter Biden, who showed up at hearing.

"You are the epitome of White privilege. ... You have no balls. ... I think Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now and go to jail," she said

Andy Biggs scolds his colleagues to "not act like a bunch of nimrods."

The people without balls are the House Republicans. They have the power to instruct the Sergeant of Arms of the House to arrest people who defy their subpoenas. At least, that's what I read in college, in an essay which was, admittedly, a polemic. (The author insisted that the House could put Nixon into jail if he continued stonewalling on the White House tapes. Maybe he was wrong.)

Wednesday Morning Rant

Calais Jungle

Yesterday, Ace posted an article on the NYC camps for illegal aliens. Two excerpts from the quoted New York Post articles stood out to me for their similarity to other experiences in other countries that were flooded with invading colonists:

"For the past month or so, we will come here, and there'll be one or two tents set up, and we'll ask them to take them down," a city Parks Department enforcement officer told The Post at the site on Sunday.

"But every day when we come back, there's more."

Migrants camping outside the increasingly lawless Randall's Island tent city were spotted selling everything from burgers to blunts on Monday -- as Mayor Eric Adams said the city would be reviewing shelter security following a fatal weekend stabbing.
A persistent camp of illegal aliens with its own informal procedures and businesses, operating in violation of the law and resisting all attempts to put it down. This sounds familiar. This sounds like Calais.

The Morning Report — 1/10/24

michelleshocked.jpg

Good morning, kids. If all politics is local, then despite the fact that I haven't lived in Brooklyn for 40 years, this one still hits close to home. And I believe it has very large ramifications politically:

Students at a Brooklyn high school were kicked out of the classroom to make room for nearly 2,000 migrants who were evacuated from a controversial tent shelter due to a monster storm closing in on the Big Apple.

The city made the move amid concerns that a massive migrant tent at Floyd Bennett Field would collapse from torrential rains and gusting winds — packing them instead into the second-floor gym at James Madison High School five miles away.  The school’s neighbors were not keen on the last-minute decision.

“This is f—ed up,” said a local resident who identified himself only as Rob. “It’s a litmus test. They are using a storm, a legitimate situation, where they are testing this out. I guarantee you they’ll be here for the entire summer. “There’s 1,900 people getting thrown into my neighborhood, half a block from where I live and we don’t know who they are,” he said.

“They’re not vetted. A lot of them have criminal records and backgrounds and we don’t even know.” One irate mom even went off on the migrants as they pulled up inside a line of school buses in the pouring rain shortly before 6 p.m.

“How do you feel? Does it feel good?” the woman, who only identified herself as Michelle, screamed at the buses. “How does it feel that you kicked all the kids out of school tomorrow? Does it feel good? I hope you feel good. I hope you will sleep very well tonight!” Said a local dad, “How do you feel stealing American tax money?”

The school announced online earlier in the day that classes would be held remotely on Wednesday due to “the activation of James Madison High School as a temporary overnight respite center” for the migrants. . .

. . . By midday, officials were already prepping the high school for the migrants’ arrival from the airfield about five miles away, with 10 marked NYPD vehicles and a half-dozen Emergency Management trucks parked outside.

“They told us we had to get everything out by 5 [p.m.],” gym teacher Robyn Levy said outside the school. “They sent us the email at 6 in the morning. I don’t know when we’ll be able to back.” “What I want to know is why here?” Levy said. “Why not send them somewhere where students wouldn’t be disrupted, where students learning wouldn’t be disrupted?”

. . . Nearly 70,000 migrants remain in the city’s care from among the 162,000 who have arrived in the five boroughs from the US border since the spring of 2022.

It's like watching a horror/farce. Here's my capsule review: I laughed, I cried, I threw up. As an alumnus of Madison's rival Midwood, about a mile and a half up the road on a pleasant stretch of Bedford Avenue, this one does indeed hit close to home. I have very fond memories of performing in the All City Orchestra in Madison's auditorium. The iconic phrase "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" surely applies. Sigh.

I assume that this section of my beloved Brooklyn is still predominantly white, middle- to upper middle class (the cratering economy that is wiping it out notwithstanding). I will further assume that these shell-shocked and pissed off residents are overwhelmingly registered Democrats.

Putting my memories back up on the shelf and returning to the world as it is, my first instinct is to laugh. The woman shrieking at a busload of third world peasants who barely have a grasp of Spanish let alone English how they feel "stealing taxpayer's money" is a howler. Does she not have even the tiniest scintilla of an inkling that the people she's screaming at had the red carpet rolled out for them by the politicians she voted for locally and nationally?! To hell with Adams' and Hochul's protestations at Gregg Abbott and Ron DeSantis. The former proudly declared the city and state as "Sanctuary" because all "immigrants" welcome, in defiance of then President Trump's sane, rational attempts to secure our border and get a handle on who we allow in to become citizens.

But, of course, Trump said "Pussy" so hausfrau "Michelle" (no doubt a Karen) couldn't have that for four more years, now could she? Well lady. You got what you voted for. Good and hard. How does it taste?

UPDATE: Commenter "Biden's Dog sniffs a whole lotta malarkey" informs me that Madison HS is located in a GOP district. I thought Brooklyn was like 99% solid Democrat. Now this makes sense as to why they pulled this stunt here. Consider my snark at her directed at the libs in Park Slope, the Upper West Side and everywhere else that vote for this crap.

The sad truth is that Eric Adams trounced Curtis Sliwa in an off-year election in November of '21 with the typical anemic turnout at the polls, not even a year into the Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants psuedo-presidency. Even in that short span of time, the destruction had ramped up with Trump's border wall nixed, amnesty on the table and the first waves of migrant invaders heading towards the Rio Grande 3, 4, 5 and more-thousand at a time.

Well, "Michelle," instead of your curious animosity, and dare I say it borderline xenophobia that is supposed to be the hallmark of extreme-MAGA white supremacist insurrectionists, you should be greeting your new neighbors with a hearty "¡hola!" and a big wet kiss so they can return the favor with trashed streets, a trashed Madison HS, along with polio, rubella, malaria and more than a soupçon of robbery, assault, rape and perhaps a murder. And smile when you pay those taxes lest Merrick Garland and the DOJ come for you. Your performance in front of those busses could be construed as hate speech.

Meh. Perhaps I shouldn't be so hard on my erstwhile Brooklynites. It's good to get this anger and schadenfreude out of my system but, as I stated up top, this situation which is being played out all over the country in other blue strongholds has very significant political ramifications. Whatever "Trump is Hitler!" crap the Dems will try to hit voters with, as well as "Roe, Roe, Roe the Vote!" (admittedly more effective), the intentional mass invasion by now millions of Latin American peasants, and more frighteningly military-aged males from the Muslim world and Red China, the latter estimated to be in the tens of thousands (see this report linked here). Can't wait for power stations, dams, cell towers, hospitals and military installations across the country to suddenly explode just as the first PLA marine hits Taiwan's shore. That oughta make "AWOL" Austin's prostate stand up and pay attention

I think the disaster of a non-existent border and immigration control is going to be the central issue that decides next November. Dao-Min Yen as well as the upshot of the persecutions against Trump notwithstanding. All that said, now is the time to engage "Michelle" as well as everyone else on the other side who is experiencing this madness firsthand to open their eyes and revolt. If they still can't bring themselves to vote for Trump, then at the very least to stay home. I think though that a sea change is coming and retail politics and elections, rigged or otherwise, aren't even a part of it.

In any case, the obvious solutions to this problem are sealing the border, disincentivizing the invasion in the first place by cutting off Uncle Sugar, ramping up and maintaining the effort to deport EVERY single illegal alien in country regardless of how long they have been here and sending anyone who employs illegals up the river for long stretches in Leavenworth while confiscating their assets. A minimum of a 20-year moratorium on legal immigration, especially and in particular from third world nations, as well as a complete end to bilingualism ain't bad ideas either.

The callous disregard Democrat leaders have for their own base is earning them their ire. Whether the latter merely switch chairs on the Titanic and vote for a different backstabbing abuser or if they open their eyes remains to be seen. The border and the economy, issues tied at the hip, and the massive destruction wrought to everyone is not just a one-off scandal or a minor thing. They hit home. The arrogance of Democrat officials in thinking they can do whatever the hell they want because they have the base in their hip pocket might very well be their undoing, both in the short and long term.

We shall see.

I wanted to mention both that I&I poll in the lead as well as Fani Willis potentially destroying her own case against Trump by hiring her boyfriend (check the picture in the link of him checking out her ass at a press conference!) and colluding with the Team Demento.

Then again, as we have seen so many times before, the more obvious the outrage, the more likely it is not to be reversed.

I was thinking that would be perhaps 5% of their staff.

    I was wrong.

    It's 35%.

Which explains a lot about Twitch. 1400 staff is not a lot of people to run a global video streaming platform with literally millions of channels. I'm impressed it even works.

Of course, 900 staff is even less.

Quick Hits

Pro-Hamas protesters heckled Biden at his racial-hatred rally in Charleston -- and Biden congratulated the pro-terrorist protesters for their "passion," saying that he feels the same "passion" -- against Israel, he means.

Biden supporters in the audience countered the protesters' "cease-fire now" chants Monday afternoon by yelling "four more years," prompting the president to acknowledge that the conflict continues to roil his own base into the new year.

"I understand their passion," Biden said from the podium in South Carolina, the first Democratic primary state in this year's nominating calendar. "I've been quietly working with the Israeli government to get them to reduce and significantly get out of Gaza, using all that I can to do."

Variety: Jodie Foster Says Gen Z Is "Really Annoying, Especially in the Workplace": They're Like, "Nah, I'm Not Feeling It Today"

Jodie Foster took a humorous jab at Gen Z during a recent interview with The Guardian, saying they're especially annoying to work with. Gen Z, the generation directly proceeding millennials, comprises those born after 1996 and through 2010.

"They're really annoying, especially in the workplace," Foster told the publication. "They're like, 'Nah, I'm not feeling it today, I'm gonna come in at 10:30 a.m.' Or, like, in emails, I'll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling? And they're like, 'Why would I do that, isn't that kind of limiting?'"

Another female teacher will face rape charges after having sex with a 16-year-old student.

Glamorous Missouri math teacher, Hailey Nichelle Clifton-Carmack, is charged with rape for having sex with a 16-year-old student at high school - and the victim's dad faces charges for 'allowing relationship to happen'

Hailey Nichelle Clifton-Carmack, 26, a Missouri high school teacher is accused of having sex with a student

Police were informed of the alleged relationship between teacher and student after a classmate came forward and showed photos of the teen's scratches

Teen's father, Mark Creighton, is accused of knowing about the relationship but failing to report it - he has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child

By James Gordon For Dailymail.com

A pretty math teacher from Missouri has been arrested in Texas and accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old high school student.

Hailey Nichelle Clifton-Carmack, 26, from Waynesville, near St. Louis, was arrested by the Garden Ridge Police Department on Friday in Comal County.

The sexual assaults are alleged to have taken place in Missouri's Pulaski County, about 800 miles away from where she was apprehended by cops.

In a further twist to the case, the teenage boy's father has also been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after it was claimed he knew that his son was in a relationship with the educator.

Court documents state that the teen and teacher had sex during school and used other students as 'lookouts,' according to KRCG.

I'll allow it:

teacherseductivepose.jpg

The media had a field day with pedophile priests but just never gets around to doing a story on the large number of teachers who commit sexual assault on minors.

Portland is suffering from a surge of shigella, which is passed by feces and sexual contact.

Homeless people are spreading Shigella in and around downtown Portland, Oregon. Cases are now surging and could lead to a public health emergency.

Shigella is a highly contagious bacteria that spreads through fecal matter. It's usually spread when the bacteria is on someone's hand and then they touch their mouth, or through sex. The Portland metro saw at least 218 cases of shigellosis in 2023, with 45 cases in December alone. Many of them occurred in Old Town.

Now, public health officials are asking the public to be mindful of personal hygiene.

It's being spread during sex amongst homeless

As cases rise, Multnomah County Deputy Health Officer Dr. Teresa Everson is advising the public to be alert, but not panic, as the cases are not occurring in the general public. But there's fear in the community that that may change. The county is offering some infected homeless people free motel rooms to isolate in so they can mitigate the spread.

"These cases can occur because bathrooms, handwashing sinks and soap can be hard to access when you aren't housed," she told KGW-TV. "And unhoused community members are at higher risk of infectious diseases in general, as they experience poorer health than the broader public."

"Homeless bums butt-banging each other in broad daylight is a blessing of liberty," asserted dour puritan pervert David French.

I made up that last part. But I feel that it has the essence of truth.

Remember when America was a first world country? That was nice. I miss that.

A Jewish student at shithole state college Rutgers publicized some of his classmates posting in support of Arab terrorism or posting flagrantly anti-Jewish caricatures.

And Rutgers is threatening to expel those students -- wait, update, they're threatening to expel the student who reported their public postings, falsely claiming he "doxxed" them and breached their right to post antisemitic content without blowback.

A Jewish law student is facing expulsion at Rutgers University for allegedly "doxxing" a pair of student "Hamas supporters" after they either shared or endorsed a video denying atrocities that happened on Oct. 7, a new lawsuit claims.

Yoel Ackerman, 36, accused the law school this week of retaliating against him instead of punishing other students that he said spread Hamas propaganda in a Student Bar Association group chat and bullied him in the wake of the shocking terror attack on Israel nearly three months ago.

The first-year Orthodox Jewish law student is facing discipline after he shared messages, including their names and photographs, with the Jewish Law School Association.

The posts included a video that claims the carnage against Israelis was exaggerated, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday.

Law school administrators were provided with the email Ackerman sent by an unnamed person, setting off school charges of alleged defamation and disorderly conduct against him, the lawsuit states.

The two students accused Ackerman of "doxing" them -- which means exposing personal information about a person -- and defaming them by referring to them as "Hamas supporters" because of the inflammatory video they shared that questioned the atrocities of Oct. 7, the lawsuit says.

Ackerman said he sent the video to the JLSA to "protect fellow Jewish students and community" from what he believed was "harassment, intimidation, bullying and discriminatory conduct aimed at Jewish law students," the suit says.

See the posts here, but caution, the second one features the German Nazi style depiction of Jews with hooked noses greedily rubbing their hands together.

One the anti-Jewish caricatures shows Jews controlling the (checks notes) "Cancer Industry."

And the guy who blew the whistle might be expelled.

As the left has told me six thousand times over the past five years: It's not Cancel Culture, it's Consequences Culture.

I need you to prepare for a shock: The "study" that General Milley indicted the entire armed forces with, claiming their was "Extremism In Our Ranks" and specifically "white supremacy," was a complete lie and political propaganda operation.

In December of 2021, the Pentagon furthered the 'white rage' narrative, warning that 'extremism' within the ranks was on the rise, which would require 'detailed new rules' to prohibit service members from engaging in 'certain activities.'

The new policy lays out in detail the banned activities, which range from advocating terrorism or supporting the overthrow of the government to fundraising or rallying on behalf of an extremist group or "liking" or reposting extremist views on social media.

This is a common trick of the left -- naming two serious things that people cannot scoff at, like advocating for terrorism or overthrowing the government, and then slipping in the third item, "or liking a Joe Rogan clip on Twitter."

The rules also specify that commanders must determine two things in order for someone to be held accountable: that the action was an extremist activity, as defined in the rules, and that the service member "actively participated" in that prohibited activity.

Previous policies banned extremist activities but didn't go into such great detail, and also did not specify the two step process to determine someone accountable. -AP

Turns out that was total bullshit...

According to the Wall Street Journal, "Good news: The U.S. military isn't packed with violent extremists."

That's the gist of a new report commissioned by the Pentagon in 2021 and released quietly with little notice in December. The result won't surprise Americans who have spent time in uniform, but it should calm the media frenzy about right-wing radicals in the armed forces.

After reports that some service members participated in the Jan. 6 riot, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered an independent study to get "greater fidelity" on extremism in the ranks. The think tank tasked with the report, the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), "found no evidence that the number of violent extremists in the military is disproportionate" to U.S. society. A review of Pentagon data suggested "fewer than 100 substantiated cases per year of extremist activity by members of the military in recent years," the report says.

...

One conclusion was that the military doesn't need a new section of the Uniform Code of Military Justice to punish alleged "extremists" in the ranks, and that commanders can simply rely on Article 116 (riot or breach of peace), Article 88 (contempt toward officials), Article 109 (destruction or damage to property), and Article 115 (communication of threats), as well as others.

The researchers also found that "fewer than ten" out of more than 700 Jan. 6 cases involved active members of the military, debunking yet another leftist claim.

Arizona is inviting illegals to vote in their federal elections. They tell illegals that they're not supposed to vote in federal elections. And then they tell them no one will be checking up on their citizenship status.

Entende?

Arizon's lawless rules:

A person must be a U.S. citizen in order to register and vote.

A person who submits valid proof of citizenship with his or her voter registration form (regardless of the type of form submitted) is entitled to vote in all federal, state, county and local elections in which he or she is eligible. The voter registration form otherwise must be sufficiently complete.

A person is not required to submit proof of citizenship with the voter registration form, but failure to do so means the person will only be eligible to vote in federal elections (known as being a "federal only" voter). A "federal only" voter will become eligible to vote a "full ballot" in all federal, state, county and local elections if he or she later provides valid proof of citizenship to the appropriate County Recorder's office.

..

Defendant Files Motion to Disqulify Fani Willis and Her Special Prosecutor from Pursuing the Trump/RICO Charges, Because She Hired the Guy Who Is Living In Her Vag and He's Spending the Money She's Paying Him on Filthy Sex Junkets

GDRZqmdbQAAonMF.jpg

One of Trump's co-defendants in the partisan lunatic Fulton County RICO prosecution filed a motion to disqualify the DA Fani Willis as well as her special prosecutor -- on account of she hired the guy who's fucking her for the job.

I'm not sure that's a disqualifier but it doesn't look good.

The motion also alleges financial funny-business, using money paid to him by Fani Willis to swoop her off to romantic island Fuckations.

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

District Attorney Fani Willis improperly hired an alleged romantic partner to prosecute Donald Trump and financially benefited from their relationship, according to a court motion filed Monday which argued the criminal charges in the case were unconstitutional.

The bombshell public filing alleged that special prosecutor Nathan Wade, a private attorney, paid for lavish vacations he took with Willis using the Fulton County funds his law firm received. County records show that Wade, who has played a prominent role in the election interference case, has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation.

Money makes it serious.

From the motion:

While the filings in the divorce case are sealed by Court order, undersigned counsel has learned that Willis and Wade have traveled personally together to such places as Napa Valley, California, Florida and the Caribbean and Wade has purchased tickets for both of them to travel on both the Norweigan and Royal Carribean cruise lines. Wade has also purchased hotel rooms for personal trips with funds from the same account used to receive payments under his contract with Willis.

PJ Media:

In his complaint, Roman seeks to disqualify Willis and Wade "from further prosecuting the instant matter on the grounds that the district attorney and the special prosecutor have been engaged in an improper, clandestine personal relationship during the pendency of this case, which has resulted in the special prosecutor, and, in turn, the district attorney, profiting significantly from this prosecution at the expense of the taxpayers."

Trump yells that Fani Willis and her paramour are "totally compromised."

Former President Trump on Tuesday insisted the case against him and several others in Georgia over efforts to overturn the state's 2020 election results should be dropped after another defendant filed a motion accusing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) of improper behavior.

"You had a very big event yesterday as you saw in Georgia where the district attorney is totally compromised. The case has to be dropped," Trump said after a hearing in Washington, D.C., over presidential immunity arguments in a separate, federal 2020 election interference case against him. "They went after 18 or 20 people. ... She was out of her mind. Now it turns out that case is totally compromised."

"It's illegal. What she did is illegal. So we'll let the state handle that, but what a sad situation it is," Trump added.

Oh Boy: Polar Vortex Will Plunge the West and Midwest into -50 Degree Icebox Next Week

WEATHER FREAK!

(When Drudge didn't have any scoops to report -- which was 96% of the time -- he trolled the wires for WEATHER FREAK! stories.)

Dang, this is going to be horrible.

Bundle up and stock up.

Arctic blast bringing temperatures of -50F - 78 degrees below normal - is forecast to strike West and Midwest next week

That's confusing. They mean temperatures could fall to 50 below, which is 78 degrees below the usual average of 28 degrees.

An arctic blast threatens to bring temperatures of -50 degrees to large swathes of the West and Midwest next week

Meteorologists have said the polar vortex could sweep across the Pacific Northwest and roll into the Central and Midwest over the next five to ten days

By Alice Wright For Dailymail.Com

An arctic blast may bring temperatures of -50 degrees to swathes of the West and Midwest next week.

The polar vortex could sweep across the Pacific Northwest and roll into the Central and Midwest of the country over the next five to ten days, meteorologist Ryan Maue said.

Weather outlooks from the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center show the cold blast arriving late next week for Central and Eastern parts of the US.

...

Higher precipitation is also expected, which could increase the possibility of snowfall.

...

The potential blast has been compared to the cold weather disaster of Storm Uri in February 2021, which left more than 4 million Texans without power for a record 70.5 hours.

That came after 365 generators were knocked offline as a result of the storm.

Texas, which relies on its own supply and is unprepared for winter conditions, has buckled.

I guess we'd all better stock up on supplies.

Meanwhile, the south is being hit with tornado and blizzard blizzard warnings.

Tornadoes tore through Florida's Panhandle.

Surprise! Ray Epps Gets No Jail Time, Just Probation, as Judge Colludes with DOJ to Set Fed Agent Free

Unbelievable -- except, of course, it was inevitable.

The government and judge admitted that usually conduct like Ray Epps' would "warrant jail time" -- but the federal government said he "engaged in de-escalation tactics" (when he urged people to go "INTO the Capitol?") and the judge said that he had already suffered enough because of "conspiracy theories" that he was some kind of fed.

No, of course not -- he's just a guy the feds fight to get probation for and make false claims for.

From Radix Verum:

Radix Verum
@NotRadix
Attended Ray Epps sentencing today - what a farce.

Thread

The prosecutor praised Epps "de-escalation tactics" and had a whole slide show for it entitled "Attempts to De-escalate."

Both Judge Boasberg and the prosecutor both claimed "he never tried to go into the Capitol."

No, he didn't go into the Capitol -- he just urged others to go.

And the government has put a lot of "insurrectionists" in jail who never entered the Capitol. In those cases, they claimed that not actually being present in the Capitol did not mitigate their crimes.

But here, they flip the script completely to absolve Ray Epps, who is not, and I must stress this, a federal agent. Not even a little bit.

The prosecutor claimed he struggled and that he could give Epps a felony with a low sentence or a misdemeanor with a high sentence.

The prosecutor claimed Ray Epps case was a "unique and complicated case," I don't see how.

The only unique thing in the case is the government's determination to set him free, a position they decidedly did not take with a thousand other people.

I also don't see any other J6 defendant getting this type of special treatment where a prosecutor claims their case is "unique."

Because they're not federal agents.

The prosecutor said they used their prosecutorial discretion to choose to charge Epps with misdemeanor - despite that same prosecutor arguing 10 minutes before that Epps had engaged in felonious conduct.

The government agreed with Ray Epps defense lawyers arguments regarding mitigating factors for Epps lol

Now here is where Epps and his lawyers argue for leniency, claiming that he's a victim of "widespread conspiracy theories" and shouldn't be punished futher.

Unbelievably -- by which I mean, "inevitably" -- the judge agrees that, and I quote, the important thing is not what happened on January 6, but "what happened after."

Weird, I never heard another judge passing sentence on a J6er arguing that what happened on January 6th didn't matter.

Epps and his lawyers along with the government and Judge Boasberg all agreed Ray Epps was the victim of "widespread conspiracy theories."

The DOJ themselves admitted they were giving Epps a "significant break."

The prosecutor argued "6 months is the appropriate sentence."

The prosecution then proceeded to praise Epps - claiming he actually SUPPORTED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS that day.

Epps lawyers pointed out Epps called the FBI almost immediately on 1/08/2021 and that he gave voluntary statements and cooperated.

What do you call someone who cooperates with the feds and gives evidence against others...?

Oh right -- a federal agent.

Epps was allowed to speak and he said the FBI had "nothing to do with what happened on January 6th," he blamed @FoxNews for "peddling election integrity conspiracy theories," and he blamed Trump.

He then said that he believes January 6, 2021 was an "insurrection."

Oh, it wasn't Ray Epps who told people to "go INTO the Capitol" -- it was Fox News.

And of course he continues acting as a fed agent by peddling their line that every other person present at the Capitol that day, EXCEPT for Ray Epps, was an "insurrectionist."

Epps lawyer claimed people called Epps a "boomer" on January 5 when Epps was recorded on video urging rally attendees to go into the Capitol the next day. Baked Alaska and others started changing "fed fed fed," but Epps lawyer claimed Epps was trying to "de-escalate" and that "Baked Alaska and others didn't listen to him [Epps]."

By calling him a "boomer," this lawyer intends to suggest that the ringleader Ray Epps didn't know what was going on because the Internet, it's so confusing, amirite?

Illegal Aliens and Domestic Bums Are Getting Into Fights and Stabbing Each Other As NYC Shelters Get Cramped

Remember when America was a First World country?

That was nice. I miss that.

The fatal migrant stabbing at the Randall's Island tent city was over a woman, law-enforcement sources said Sunday -- while asylum-seekers described life in the shelter as full of armed rivals and divisive "camps."

The 24-year-old victim was inside the cafeteria tent at the sprawling shelter around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he got into a beef with a fellow asylum-seeker who had been talking to the man's girlfriend, sources told The Post.

During the dispute, the victim was assaulted by four people, sources said. One of the suspects, 26, then whipped out a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck and chest area, sources said.

The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police recovered the knife at the scene and arrested the suspected stabber, while his three accomplices are in the wind, sources said.

Venezuelan immigrant Roger Castillo said of the dead man, "He was a good person, he was a good friend.

"There is not much security, and they are far away," Castillo said of guards. "It happens so fast."

Migrants at the makeshift shelter, which was erected last year to house the overflow of migrants flooding into the five boroughs from the US border, have been problematic, some asylum-seekers said.

They said some of the migrants around them have split into "camps" based on their ethnicity and native countries, with Hispanics, Africans and Haitians occasionally at odds, while many are armed with knives and typically petty crimes can be rampant.

"Everyone has a knife," migrant Mauricio Pinto said.

Moroccan migrant Nabil Jajhlaq added, "There is a lot of stealing.

"If you put your phone down or your charger for a moment, they take it immediately. Any of your stuff that you don't have they will take.

"There is definitely camps," he said.

The illegals have established their own rogue homeless camp on Randall's Island in NYC.

Migrants booted from Big Apple shelters have been setting up an illegal mini-tent city outside Randall's Island's housing site -- despite the Adams administration's best efforts to thwart them.

"For the past month or so, we will come here, and there'll be one or two tents set up, and we'll ask them to take them down," a city Parks Department enforcement officer told The Post at the site on Sunday.

"But every day when we come back, there's more."

Parks workers on Sunday morning broke down one shabby encampment that had been housing about 21 asylum-seekers barred from the island's 2,000-bed tent city erected in August after timing out on its 60-day residency limit.

The rogue migrants had set up their own tarps and tents on a grassy strip just outside the tent city, even erecting tables to peddle coffee and hot chocolate to other asylum-seekers legally living in the site's massive sanctioned tents.

It's basically Deadwood.

Migrants camping outside the increasingly lawless Randall's Island tent city were spotted selling everything from burgers to blunts on Monday -- as Mayor Eric Adams said the city would be reviewing shelter security following a fatal weekend stabbing.

The group of asylum-seekers who set up camp outside the island's 2,000-bed site after being booted for timing out on the city residency limit appeared locked in a cat-and-mouse game with Parks Department officials -- who tore down the encampment Sunday only to have it rise up again.

The leftwing propaganda media has a solution to all of this: just stop talking about it! Talking about the problem is informing the citizens there's a problem, and we have an election to rig!

The city's migrant crisis has become "a specter that demagogues can use as the threat du jour," says City Councilman Justin Brannan. "It used to be 'defund the police' or bail reform. Now this is the new thing they can divide and conquer on."

Count this as yet another retread of the "Republicans pounce" gimmick: Shoot the messengers.

Brannan (D-B'klyn) offered up his "wisdom" in a Politico piece blaming Mayor Adams and The Post for "ceaseless, dire messaging" on the border, which is "threatening Democrats in a pivotal election year."

Just as our reporting on crime, and Adams' related rhetoric, supposedly confused voters and helped Republicans pick up several House seats in 2022.

The piece slammed the mayor for "rarely" letting "a week go by without issuing new pleas for Washington to help stem the flow of migrants into the nation's biggest city."

The bottom line: Stop talking about the border; you're making Democrats look bad.

This much is true: A whopping 84% of New Yorkers consider the influx of migrants a serious problem.

But pretending the issue is messaging, not President Biden's policies, is a delusional farce.

The situation will get worse as frigid conditions descend on most of the country. In the East Village, immigrants are competing for limited shelter spaces:

Republicans Threaten to Throw Biden Off the Ballot in Missouri... and Florida

The left is rigging the election on the pretext claim that Trump tried (and failed) to rig one first. Or rather, the claim that he attempted to un-rig the 2020 election that they had worked so hard to "fortify."

Republicans are calling for President Joe Biden to be removed from the 2024 primary ballot as former President Donald Trump is facing challenges to remove him from ballots in multiple states.

As challenges are brought to disqualify Trump from 2024 GOP primary ballots in more than 30 states for allegedly instigating an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, Republicans are suggesting that Biden should be removed from the ballot in response, but because of the increased volume of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. through the southern border.

The challenges against Trump have been made under the insurrection clauses of the 14th Amendment, a Civil War-era amendment that hasn't previously been used to disqualify a presidential candidate, Axios reported. The insurrection clauses do not specify whether a criminal conviction is necessary as a prerequisite. There have been candidates -- albeit on the fringes -- who have appeared on presidential ballots despite criminal convictions. Lyndon LaRouche ran his 1992 campaign from behind prison bars after a fraud conviction, and more famously, Eugene V. Debs ran his 1920 campaign from prison after being convicted of sedition. He garnered nearly a million votes.

...

Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft (R), who is running for governor, posted on X on Friday following the Supreme Court taking up the Colorado appeal, saying the same standard should be applied to Biden as Trump.

"What has happened in Colorado & Maine is disgraceful & undermines our republic," Ashcroft wrote. "While I expect the Supreme Court to overturn this, if not, Secretaries of State will step in & ensure the new legal standard for @realDonaldTrump applies equally to @JoeBiden!"

Missouri state Sen. Bill Eigel (R), who is also running for governor, announced on Friday that he plans to introduce legislation that would disqualify Biden from the Missouri ballot.

"By the Democrats' own standard, Joe Biden should be immediately disqualified and removed from the ballot for the 'aid and comfort' he has given our enemies," Eigel said in a press release, citing the treason clause in Article III of the U.S. Constitution.

"Our country is being invaded, because Joe Biden has swung our southern border wide open. President Biden has allowed more than 8 million people to stroll across our border illegally, causing more harm to this country than any other president in American history," the state senator continued.

...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who is running in the GOP presidential primary race against Trump, said on Friday that he's looking at blocking Biden from the ballot.

"This is just going to be a tit for tat and it's just not gonna end well," DeSantis said. "You could make a case -- and I'm actually looking at this in Florida now -- could we make a credible case" to block Biden from the ballot "because of the invasion of 8 million. And again, I don't think that's the right way to do it."

...

Last month, following Colorado removing Trump from the ballot, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) also suggested that Biden be removed from the ballot.

"Seeing what happened in Colorado tonight ... makes me think -- except we believe in democracy in Texas -- maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing 8 million people to cross the border since he's been president, disrupting our state far more than anything anyone else has done in recent history," Patrick said.

Even the sad weakling "severely conservative" betrayer Mitt Romney is telling Democrats that their endless celebration of the Victory of January 6th is "a dead political horse."

Utah Senator Mitt Romney warned President Joe Biden against campaigning on Donald Trump's actions relating to the Jan 6 attack on Congress in an interview this week, arguing that voters are weary of conversations about it.

...

"Jan 6 will be four years old by the election. People have processed it, one way or another," he said. "Biden needs fresh material, a new attack, rather than kicking a dead political horse."

His comments put the incumbent president in an awkward spot. Mr Biden is running for re-election despite his own cratering poll numbers, which show him losing support among key parts of his voter coalition including younger voters and people of colour. His likely opponent for the general election is none other than Mr Trump, who remains the frontrunner for the Republican nomination heading in to the Iowa caucuses this weekend.

It's not just a dead political horse, but another desperately dishonest ones: Despite the claims of the Democrat-Media Junta that Trump planned to join "his troops" at the Capitol and seize power, just-released Secret Service documents show he never had any plan to go to the Capitol at all.

It has become one of the enduring messages of the House Democrats' final report on the Jan. 6 riot: Donald Trump had a plan and an intention to go directly to the U.S. Capitol to join those disrupting the certification of the 2020 election results.

"The Committee's principal concern was that the President actually intended to participate personally in the January 6th efforts at the Capitol, leading the attempt to overturn the election either from inside the House Chamber, from a stage outside the Capitol, or otherwise," the committee wrote in its final report in December, 2022.

"The Committee regarded those facts as important because they are relevant to President Trump's intent on January 6th. There is no question from all the evidence assembled that President Trump did have that intent," it added.

Lawmakers, pundits and journalists have all echoed that line in the months before and after the report's release.

"I imagine that he thought that he would enter like Mussolini being carried on the shoulders of his supporters and enter the Capitol," Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., said, comparing Trump to Italy's fascist leader during World War II.

In his speech at Valley Forge on Friday reviving his argument that Trump and MAGA supporters pose a threat to democracy, President Joe Biden pointedly avoided making the claim. In fact, he took the opposite tact and suggested a cowardly Trump declined to join his supporters storming the Capitol.

"He promised he would right them -- right them. Everything they did, he would be side by side with them. Then, as usual, he left the dirty work to others. He retreated to the White House," Biden said.

Such conflicting portrayals may be confusing to voters. That confusion is also rooted in an undisputed fact: Trump never actually went to the Capitol after his speech on the Ellipse.

The House Democrats' claims are based on two pieces of testimony. Some Trump aides recalled to the committee the 45th president mentioning in a meeting on Jan, 4, 2021, that he might want to go to the Capitol.

And then former aide Cassidy Hutchinson Madison Cornbread claimed in a disputed account based on hearsay that on the way back from his speech Trump lunged at the driver of the presidential limo to commandeer it and take it to the Capitol. The Secret Service and Trump deny that happened, and no evidence has emerged to validate Hutchinson's claim. That did not stop the account from making its way into mainstream media.

The Democratic Party's narrative is further undercut by internal Secret Service documents reviewed by Just the News, which show there was no plan heading into the Jan. 6 event to take Trump to the Capitol.

He didn't go, and there was never a plan to go.

But the media which will get you deplatformed for "misinformation" continues lying, claiming he was going to cross the Mall like it was the Rubicon and crown himself as emperor.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama proclaims herself "so terrified" over a possible Republican victory in 2024.

She also beats the dead political horse of January 6th, claiming that Our Precious Democracy is at stake.

No, not from the invasion that our treasonous "president" has invited to our shores.

Over a failed riot three years ago.

"I am terrified about what could possibly happen," Obama said of the 2024 race in a Monday episode of Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" podcast.

"Because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit -- it affects us in ways that sometimes, I think, people take for granted," she said when asked to name some of her fears that keep her awake.

"The fact that people think that: 'Government, does it really even do anything?' And I'm like, 'Oh my God, does government do everything for us,'" Obama, 59, continued. "And we cannot take this democracy for granted. And sometimes, I worry that we do."

"Those are the things that keep me up," she said.

Democrats are terrified that black voters are abandoning them, so they've instructed their most elderly partisans to get out there and terrify black voters so they'll vote as ordered.

Rep. James Clyburn, an early Biden supporter who propelled him to victory in South Carolina, now says he is 'very concerned' with the president's standing with the black community.

Clyburn was asked on CNN about President Joe Biden's African American approval ahead of a Biden trip to Clyburn's home state on Monday.

'I'm not worried -- I'm very concerned,' the South Carolina Democrat said.

...

My problem is that we have not been able to break through that MAGA wall in order to get to people exactly what this president has done,' Clyburn said.

...

...

Former President Barack Obama recently told Biden about the concerns he has with the structure of his reelection campaign, according to reports by the Washington Post and Politico.

Obama reportedly grew 'animated' at a lunch with Biden before the holidays about the threat of Trump's possible return to power.

He reportedly told Biden that his campaign lacked authoritative decision makers in key states who didn't have to clear everything with the White House.

Clyburn raised the bloody shirt and claimed Trump -- who had barely started his election campaign in 2015 -- was "tied" to the racist shooting at the AME church in Charleston.

"Is it fair to tie in any way what happened at the Emanuel AME Church to Donald Trump?" Tapper asked Clyburn "Donald Trump had barely launched his campaign when that attack happened."

"I think it is very clear that Donald Trump's utterances way back before Charlottesville or at the time of Charlottesville ties him to what happened at Mother Emanuel," Clyburn claimed. "The fact of the matter is, that young man went into that church's basement, joined with those worshipers in Bible study, and murdered them."

"And he said at the time that he was attempting to create a race war. But the people of Charleston, South Carolina, the families of the affected victims all came together to get beyond hate and reach out to help continue this pursuit of a more perfect union," he continued. "Donald Trump looked at those people in Charlottesville and said that there were good people on both sides. And those people were uttering things like, 'Jews will not replace us.' That is a religion. The AME Church Emanuel, that is religion. And Donald Trump has said things in support of those activities that ties him closely to what happened at Mother Emanuel."

No word whether or not the Democrats are responsible for the thousands and thousands of murders and assaults committed by blacks against whites, by relentlessly dehumanizing white people and convincing some blacks that "liberation" from "white supremacy" justifies a code of "By Any Means Necessary."

Okay, so that's the standard. The rules are simple:

1. Project your malice onto a popular opponent
2. Accuse the popular opponent as being guilty of bad things you don't like
3. Immediately group all supporters - even casual supporters or just mere non-detractors - in with the popular opponent
4. Pursue collective punishment

This is all quite straightforward and quite old. It's how industrial-scale slaughter happens. Genocide, democide, whatever-cide.

House Releases Contempt Charges for Hunter Biden

What I think should happen now is that the Very Special Counsel assigned to Hunter Biden will take up the charges, and is more or less under pressure to seek a conviction. If a Very Special Counsel was needed for Hunter's gun and tax charges -- indicating that the DOJ felt there was a conflict of interest that needed to be cured -- then the Very Special Counsel is also needed for these contempt charges.

In fact, there's an even bigger conflict of interest -- Joe Biden does not want his son testifying about Joe Biden's criminal bribery.

But who knows. Merrick Garland is an extremely corrupt individual. NeverTrump must answer for working so, so hard to put this criminal on the Supreme Court.

House Republicans on the Oversight and Judiciary Committees released resolutions Monday recommending Hunter Biden be held in contempt of Congress.

House Oversight and Judiciary are advising the House to hold Hunter Biden in contempt for defying congressional subpoenas by failing to show up to a closed-door deposition Dec. 13, according to their resolutions and accompanying reports.

OVERSIGHT REPORT:

"Mr. Biden's testimony is a critical component of the impeachment inquiry into, among other things, whether Joseph R. Biden, Jr., as Vice President and/or President: (1) took any official action or effected any change in government policy because of money or other things of value provided to himself or his family; (2) abused his office of public trust by providing foreign interests with access to him and his office in exchange for payments to his family or him; or (3) abused his office of public trust by knowingly participating in a scheme to enrich himself or his family by giving foreign interests the impression that they would receive access to him and his office in exchange for payments to his family or him," the Oversight Committee report reads. House Judiciary's report contains similar remarks.

"Mr. Biden's flagrant defiance of the Committees' deposition subpoenas--while choosing to appear nearby on the Capitol grounds to read a prepared statement on the same matters--is contemptuous, and he must be held accountable for his unlawful actions," the Oversight report adds. "Accordingly, the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability recommends that Congress find Robert Hunter Biden in contempt for his failure to comply with the Committee subpoena issued to him."

Jim Jordan says that Hunter can and should get up to a year in the clink.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on Sunday that Hunter Biden faces "serious stuff" with contempt of Congress proceedings that could lead up to a year in jail.

...

"Well, if we pass it [contempt of Congress] out of the committee and then pass it through the full House, which I think we can do, then it goes to the Justice Department. That will be the attorney general's decision whether he's going to press charges," Jordan said.

"But if he does, I mean, it could be up to a year of jail time for failing to come and comply with a deposition for subpoena, a subpoenaed deposition to be interviewed by Congress. So this is serious stuff," the chairman added.

A Democrat swatted the computer shop owner who sent Hunter Biden's laptop to the FBI.

I'm sure Merrick Garland will get right on this, too.

The Delaware computer repairman who went public with the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop says his home was "swatted" Friday night.

"My home was swatted tonight, I was not home but the outstanding men and women of the Wilmington PD responded quickly and professionally," John Paul Mac Isaac posted to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Dec. 29. "All that was achieved was the wasted time of the Wilmington PD. NOTHING, let me repeat that, NOTHING will take me out of this fight! Cheers!"

Finally, I know you're going to have a hard time believing this, but Hunter Biden is being hit with new allegations of influence peddling.

Newly disclosed FOIA docs reveal Hunter Biden influence peddling for foreign policy organization

New FOIA production obtained by America First Legal shows Hunter Biden's efforts to secure benefits for a organization for which he was a board member.

By Steven Richards

New documents uncovered by as part of a Freedom of Information lawsuit against the National Archives for documents related to the Biden family's dealings during the Obama Administration reveal how Hunter Biden used his influence with his father's staff to provide benefits to an organization where he served as a board member.

The documents were provided to America First Legal (AFL) after it sued the National Archives and Records Administration in the District of Columbia federal court for documents related to now-President Joe Biden's time as vice president during the Obama Administration.

The most recent document production shows that in 2015 Hunter Biden lobbied for his father, the then-vice president, to be the featured speaker at the Truman National Security Project's conference, while the younger Biden served as a board member at the organization. Last year, the Truman Center's keynote speaker was left-wing media personality Rachel Maddow. The Truman Project did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Just the News. President Biden's 2015 tax forms appear to show that he was not paid for the speech while he was vice president.

Hunter Biden also appears to have used his foreign policy contacts through the administration to help secure a donation for the Truman Project and to attempt to further his own business interests.

...

Hunter Biden served on the board of the Truman Project's Center for National Policy alongside Blue Star Strategies principal Sally Painter, with whom he would work to end Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin's investigation into Burisma later the same year that he secured his father's speaking role for the organization.

...

During its existence, the Truman Project has been stocked with board members who are prominent Democratic national security figures, including Jake Sullivan, a Clinton State Department official and current Biden National Security Advisor; Matthew Spence, a senior aide to Obama's National Security Advisor; and Steve Israel, a former Democratic elected official, according to the Washington Free Beacon. Biden served on the board until at least 2019, according to the Beacon.

...

After Hunter Biden's email to the office, the vice president's scheduler Kathy Chung conferred with Joe Biden and the vice president agreed to speak at the conference. AFL noted public reporting indicated Hunter Biden had helped Kathy Chung to secure her job in the administration prior to this interaction.

...

Hunter Biden also appeared to use official foreign diplomacy of the Obama Administration to further the interests of the Truman Project and his own personal business interests at the same time, documents from the AFL FOIA production and evidence obtained from Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop indicate.

The year prior to the speaking invitation to Vice President Biden, in 2014, Scott Bates and Michael Been of the Truman Project Board asked Hunter Biden to pitch a donation proposal to the Japanese ambassador on behalf of the organization, according to an email obtained from Hunter Biden's laptop.

When the Vice President's son demands a foreign ally cough up some money, I've got to think that that foreign ally will do as asked.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

The West no longer conducts military actions as they were intended: to kill people and destroy things. That is, after all, the entire point of war. Trying to titrate and massage and triangulate what is death and destruction ultimately leads to more death and destruction.

War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.
-- William Tecumseh Sherman

But the West wants clean humane, safe wars! Just like our playgrounds are now wrapped in padding and our children are not allowed to play, we protect ourselves from the reality of the world and the consequences of our own actions. Blowing up empty warehouses and carefully warning people before attacks (to minimize death!) might impress the Washington Post and the New York Times and Cambridge and Brentwood and the Upper West Side, but the West's enemies laugh at our weakness and are emboldened by it.

Human nature has a long memory and keeps longer grudges. Eventually the butcher's bill needs to be paid. In the most recent CJN podcast, Michael Walsh and J.J. Sefton and I discussed the failure of the West to fight. Israel -- the tip of the Western spear wielded against Islam -- tried the soft post-WWII approach, and for their efforts got October 7th.

But...

The commander in the regional alliance and two additional sources familiar with Hezbollah's thinking said Israel had abandoned the unspoken "rules of the game" that previously characterised its strikes in Syria, and seemed "no longer cautious" about inflicting heavy casualties on Hezbollah there.

"They used to fire warning shots - they'd hit near the truck, our guys would get out of the truck, and then they'd hit the truck," the commander said, describing Israeli raids on arms transfers handled by Hezbollah before Oct. 7.

"Now that's over. Israel is now unleashing deadlier, more frequent air raids against Iranian arms transfers and air defence systems in Syria. They bomb everyone directly. They bomb to kill."

Imagine! An army targeting and killing its country's enemies!

Israel paid a horrible price for the lazy assumption that their enemies would moderate their behavior...eventually. But history teaches a different lesson. Decisive victory rarely leads to bad things for the victor, but a measured response allows the defeated to entertain thoughts of revenge and revolt.

Any rational observer of Islam will see its implacable philosophy, and its relentless march toward a world caliphate. Too many Western countries are falling to its advances; France and the UK, once the pillars of Western culture, are sad and diminished...waiting for the rapidly growing Muslim populations to overwhelm them, and all without firing a shot in defense of their countries and culture.

Would anyone be surprised by a look into the not-so-distant future that shows Westminster Abbey and Notre Dame with minarets built on their roofs, calling Muslims to prayer inside?

Israel has belatedly decided that their country and culture are worth defending, although to be fair, the people always felt that way...it seems however that its leaders embraced a more nuanced outlook that credited them with far more wisdom than has been shown to be the case.

When will the rest of the West follow suit?

The Morning Report — 1/9/24

JoeyandSheets.jpg

Good morning, kids. Regardless of where you stand regarding Donald Trump as the likely candidate for next November, and I can argue both sides of the coin regarding his very positive positives and his very negative negatives with ease, I don't think that that is even the issue anymore. It presupposes that regular order, business as usual and the usual political processes are still in effect when quite clearly they are not. We can bitch and moan about how either he screwed the pooch in his last year of office or that the pooch was already screwed beforehand. Ditto his actions and words on that horrendous January 6th of 2021.

The fact remains that the repercussions of that day and the now beyond a reasonable doubt stolen election the engendered those events today, in the here and now, are leading us into a potential nightmare scenario. Government sanctioned repression of perceived political enemies by labelling them "insurrectionists" and "terrorists" is the order of the day. And it's set to get worse by orders of magnitude.

Americans are increasingly coming to understand the injustice of most Jan. 6 prosecutions. Without question, the events of Jan. 6 were not remotely an insurrection. No one was armed, and even if they were and managed to seize the Capital building, the Republic would never have been in the slightest jeopardy. Indeed, a number of leftist organizations have seized government buildings and suffered nothing for it. Jan. 6 was nothing more than a spontaneous protest that got, briefly, out of hand.

There is no injustice in prosecuting anyone who assaulted a police officer, damaged or stole property or assaulted someone. However, arresting people who were given no notice they were prohibited from entering the building, were welcomed and escorted by the Capital police, never asked to leave and who merely took in the sights and took selfies, is unjust, a political abuse of power.

The D.C. district attorney has already charged more than 1,400 Americans with crimes relating to the protests on Jan. 6. He has also handed down more than 900 convictions, with almost all having prison sentences. On the contrary, Graves admitted that a significant portion of the 2020 George Floyd rioters were not charged at all despite causing destruction and setting cities on fire.

Thus does Graves, and the Department Of Justice (DOJ) admit their abuse of prosecutorial power, of discretion. A significant part of that abuse is “charge stacking,” an unethical prosecutorial practice designed to punish a defendant beyond the law, and/or to force a defendant to plead to something, even if he’s not guilty, rather than face multiple charges and an out-of-proportion sentence.

Police officers, and prosecutors, have significant discretion. Few professional police officers would arrest anyone for trespassing unless they can prove they intended to trespass and were given notice, verbally or by signage, they were not welcome. Many officers wouldn’t make such an arrest unless the trespasser was told to leave and refused. Ethical prosecutors wouldn’t file a case for the same reasons.

This daily reality across America makes the political nature of the prosecutions of more than 1000 Americans plain. And if that weren’t enough, the DOJ now intends to arrest another thousand and more for merely being present near the Capital building. Not for damaging property, assaulting anyone, not for theft, but merely for standing at some distance from the building for even a second.

The DOJ has imprisoned Jan. 6 defendants without trial for years. Their conviction rate is high because the process is the punishment. Few can afford to travel repeatedly to DC, hiring a lawyer at $300 and more an hour to fight misdemeanor charges, or even charges stacked beyond credibility. To add insult to injury, many DC judges have imposed fines and sentences far in excess of those common and usual for such minor offenses, which further exposes the political nature of Jan. 6 prosecutions.

Considering Joe Biden, at his Valley Forge speech, invoked “insurrectionists” or “insurrection” some 11 times, presaging his campaign strategy, one might be forgiven for thinking the DOJ little more than a Stasi-like arm of his reelection campaign.

This is why I say, to hell with Trump – meaning his candidacy as an issue or worse the issue going forward. I have my concerns and disappointments with him, and trepidations that perhaps he has not learned his lessons, especially in that last horrendous year of 2020. But, as I elucidated earlier, his candidacy has no bearing on American politics and elections as they once were since those quite obviously no longer exist.

The simultaneous logic and illogic of what Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants' handlers are putting on his teleprompter is mind-boggling. The rhetoric of comparing Trump to "literally Hitler" and by extension the 73 million of us who voted for him (and probably close to 200 million in total who, if they don't support him are against Democrat-Leftism) would be laughable until you start to unpack it a bit.

On the one hand, the Democrats and their propagandists are trying to warn us not to vote for him. Yet, how can they compare him to a potential totalitarian dictator while spending the past three years impeaching and now prosecuting him for fomenting an insurrection while trying to remove him from ballots in all 57 states? If he really is a threat, why not just arrest him now, declare "Our precious democracy is saved!" (vomit) and be done with it?

I think even they know that that would be "unsubtle," shall we say. There is a very good chance that all or virtually all of the disgusting, spurious, banana republic, kangaroo court charges brought by this filthy hack Jack Smith (for sure cheered on by if not likely at the behest of Obama and company) will be shot down by SCOTUS. Hopefully 9-0 but that's not a sure thing, and given the fact that Julia Roberts is loathe to entertain any truly serious cases and at most wants to split the baby so he can maintain his position on the DC cocktail party circuit, it might be a muddle that pisses everyone off. Ironic since Roberts supposedly wants to protect the Court, and either doing the right thing in trashing the case against Trump or something less than that will have the same effect. That is, the courts de-legitimization and ultimate dismantling so it can be "built back better!"

The casting the wider net to "round up the usual suspects," in this case people who weren't even in the Capitol building, or even milling about in the immediate vicinity but in many cases just within the DC city limits is either an attempt to maintain this fiction about a Trump-fomented "insurrection" or a preview of what will happen should SCOTUS rule in his favor and nightmare scenario in their eyes, should he overcome the cheat and actually win come next November. As Buck Turgidson said to Merkin Muffley, "We are rapidly approaching a moment of truth, both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation."

Again, if Trump, the likely candidate wins, a) the Democrats and their minions will, in the most frighteningly laughable reaction ever, claim the election was stolen, march on the Capitol and engage in a real insurrection, and/or b) having been so thoroughly brainwashed into believing that Trump will send them to a death camp engage in civil unrest that will make the 2020 Dresdenization of American cities in the wake of the George Floyd incident look like a church picnic.

Worse, both scenarios might very will include elements of law enforcement and the military actively participating with the BLM/Antifa cadres to seize control of the government in a Kalorama-declared state of emergency. And if that happens, then all bets are well and truly off in terms of what happens to Republican politicians, and of course Trump and his entourage.

Piss and moan all you want about his age, his shooting himself in the foot about COVID lockdowns, his staffing choices and what he supposedly said or didn't say or do and should've said or done on 1/6/21 – it's not important.

What this illegitimate junta and the corrupt apparatuses of law enforcement, the courts, the military and those who want to maintain power as the current advanced guard of the Socialist Anti-American Revolution in the Democrat Party and their RINO confederates, will do to maintain that power is the central issue of our times.
