  • AMD's 9070 XT is here and it's (read through nine pages of review) good. (Tom's Hardware)

    At $600 MSRP it's a hair slower than Nvidia's $750 5070 Ti on non-ray-traced titles. On ray tracing it's a hair slower than Nvidia's $800 4070 from last year.

Now a 5070 Ti will cost you around $900 at retail if you can find one - which you actually can right now - and the 4070 Ti super is completely gone. But we don't know yet what the supply will be like for MSRP 9070 XT cards, so it's not clear if Nvidia costs 20% more for similar performance, or 50% more.

Reviewers have also noticed that the performance is very consistent, holding steady throughout a benchmark and also between benchmark runs. That matters because a card that peaks at 80 fps but often drops down to 50 fps can feel worse than one that delivers 60 fps all the time.

It's also 50% faster than my 7800 XT in non-ray-traced games, and 60% faster in ray tracing. It will probably offer worse performance per dollar because I got my card at 20% under MSRP, but if you can't find a deal like that it should look much better.

Woke Mayors Face Questions About Their Sanctuary Policies for Wanted Murderers, Drug-Dealers, and Rapists

youwillbeheldaccountable.jpg

The Democrat All-Stars were questioned by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

The Democrats on the committee defended sanctuary city policies. The only mayor they asked hard questions of was Eric Adams, who they kept accusing of having made a quid pro quo deal with Trump. They repeatedly demanded he resign.

But for the leftwing mayors gleefully aiding and abetting wanted murderers? No questions!

CBS Fake News was sure to mostly report on the attacks on Adams.

Rep. Virginia Foxx, a North Carolina Republican, asked the mayors how much their cities have spent to care for migrants over the past four years.

Adams said New York has spent about $6.9 billion to house and care for immigrants and asylum seekers, by far the highest number among the four mayors.

Chicago's mayor said the city has spent roughly 1% of its budget since 2022, or hundreds of millions of dollars. Chicago's 2025 budget was $18.7 billion.

Denver's mayor said the city spent $79 million over the last two and a half years. Boston's mayor said she did not have a number because the city doesn't ask about immigration status when providing city services.

No more federal funding for illegals, sanctuary mayors. You'll have to get your money from the state or your own citizens. Good luck.

Rep. Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican, berated the mayors with a series of questions, questioning their fitness for the roles and arguing that they are harming the people that they serve.

"All of the mayors here today are actively working to harm the American people you represent," Mace said. "You all have blood on your hands."

Mace asked the mayors whether "breaking into our country" is against law and whether it's against the law for illegal immigrants convicted of crimes to be released back into the public, among other questions that she framed as yes or no questions.

"You guys don't sound very confident today," Mace said, as she interrupted the mayors when they sought to clarify their answers. And she interjected when Adams was responding to one question, saying "you're having the hardest time today."

Anna Paulina Luna, who is hot fire in a dress made of lava, is referring all of the Woke Mayors for criminal investigation.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, said she was making criminal referrals to the Justice Department to investigate the mayors after she questioned them over their views on immigration enforcement.

Luna said after her line of questioning that it's "very clear" that the Democratic mayors' policies are in violation of federal law, an assertion that the mayors have denied all day.

"You all speak about a broken immigration system, and yet here you guys are aiding and abetting in that entire process," Luna said, adding that open border policies harm people "on both sides."

"I do not think you guys are bad people but I think you are ideologically misled," Luna said, which is why she said she will be criminally referring the mayors to the Justice Department for investigation.

Luna added that she wasn't making the move to "bully you guys," but she said she believes their policies are hurting the American people.

"If you guys continue doing what you're doing, you're not going to help anyone," Luna added.

A criminal referral does not require the Justice Department to open an investigation, but serves as a formal notice that a lawmaker or committee believes criminal conduct may have occurred.

Before now, I would have assumed that this is all just posturing and that no criminal investigations would happen.

But Trump clearly has zero remaining f***s and is going scorched earth on the treasonous insurrectionists. So who knows!

CBS Fake News: 76% of Viewers Liked the Speech

More Republicans than Democrats watched the speech, so this poll finding is a little skewed, but it's a poll for CBS Fake News, so it's also skewed deliberately to the left.

Three quarters of those who watched the speech liked it, 76% to 23%.

51% of viewers were Republicans, 27% were independents, and 20% were Democrats. Based on my back-of-the-envelope calculations, that means that almost all independents who watched the speech approved.

Most said the speech made them feel hopeful or proud, except for the proggies, who of course felt terrified and enraged, as per usual.

speechreactionemotion.jpg

Most said the speech was inspiring and unifying... again, except for the DEI dead-enders.

speechreactiondescription.jpg

Most liked Trump's plans, though support for tariffs is soft:

speecractionlikedislike.jpg

The speech was very entertaining. One of the best parts was Trump's listing of the boondoggles and slush-funds the taxpayers have been pouring their money into:

Libs of TikTok
@libsoftiktok

TRUMP EXPOSES INSANE SPENDING:

- $2 billion for free housing & cars for illegal aliens
- $45 million for DEI scholarships in Burma
- $40 million for "social & economic inclusion of sedentary migrants"--no one knows what that is
- $8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in Lesotho--a country nobody's heard of
- $60 million for indigenous & Afro-Colombian empowerment in Central America
- $8 million to make mice transgender
- $32 million for a left-wing propaganda operation in Moldova
- $10 million for male circumcision in Mozambique
- $20 million for an Arab Sesame Street program in the Middle East
- $1.9 billion for a decarbonization of homes committee run by Stacey Abrams
- $3.5 million consultant contract for lavish fish monitoring
- $1.5 million to boost voter confidence in Liberia
- $14 million for "social cohesion" in Mali
- $59 million for illegal alien hotel rooms in NYC
- $42 million for social & behavior change in Uganda
- $14 million for improving public procurement in Serbia
- $47 million for improving learning outcomes in Asia
- $101 million for DEI contracts at the Department of Education

Under Trump, every one of these scams will END.

Trump's commentary on these items was precious:

Supreme Court Rules 5-4 to Maybe Allow a Single Judge to Tell the President How He Must Execute His Office

Once again Amy Coney Barrett joins liberal Chief Justice Roberts.

Overseas AIDS grifter organizations sued to have Trump turn back on the money spigot. A DC judge decided that he was now Acting President, and ordered Trump to do so. Roberts issued a stay of that order, signalling that maybe the Justices would exercise some authority over the leftwing #Resistance judges attempting to control the presidency through judicial fiat.

But now the fraudster Amy Coney Barrett joins Roberts in once again joining with the three hardcore liberals to overturn that stay and order Trump to disburse the money.

But it's not quite that bad -- yet. While Barrett did join Roberts and the hard-left liberals, the order removing the stay did not empower the judge to execute his original order. Rather, it seeks clarification from the judge to state specifically which monies he believes Trump must spend.

He's claiming that the AIDS grifters already performed the work that "earns" them the $2 billion. The Supreme Court seems to be saying that if some work was performed, that must be compensated, but they want to know how much of the $2 billion would go to work already performed. It's not the full $2 billion, is it?

So the case goes back to the lawless lower court judge, where he'll play President again and decide how much of the $2 billion Trump must spend.

This does give the Supreme Court another crack at reversing his order, if he can't establish that services were already rendered or once again presumes Trump to spend the full $2 billion.

I think that's the situation.

While the ruling may be more limited than people at first thought, Justice Alito is "stunned" that the Court would entertain this "power grab" by a lowly district court judge.

Via Disney's ABC Propaganda and Infotainment Division:

A sharply divided Supreme Court on Wednesday narrowly ruled that the Trump administration must comply with a district court order and pay out nearly $2 billion in foreign assistance funds to nonprofit aid groups for work already completed on the government's behalf. The court ruled 5-4 with Justices John Roberts and Amy Coney Barret siding with the liberal justices. The court did not elaborate on the decision but said the district court judge should "clarify what obligations the Government must fulfill to ensure compliance with the temporary restraining order, with due regard for the feasibility of any compliance timelines."

...

Justice Samuel Alito said in his dissent that he was "stunned" by the majority's decison.

"Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic "No," but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise," he wrote.

I don't know. I think it's too early to hang ourselves yet, but we'll have to see. Maybe we should start putting up that noose.

Trump Announces Capture of ISIS Mastermind of Abbey Gate Bombing That Killed 13 American Servicemen During Biden's Disastrous Afghanistan Bug-Out

The terrorist will be arriving in the US soon to face "the swift sword of American justice."

President Donald Trump announced that the top terrorist responsible for the deadly 2021 Abbey Gate bombing in Afghanistan has been captured and is being brought to the United States for justice. The suspect, identified as Muhammed Sharifullah, was apprehended with the help of Pakistani authorities.

...

President Trump's announcement marks a significant moment in the pursuit of justice for the families of the 13 service members killed in the August 2021 terrorist attack at Kabul's Abbey Gate. The attack, which unfolded during the Biden administration's rushed withdrawal from Afghanistan, saw a suicide bomber strike as U.S. forces worked to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. The terrorist group ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the blast, which also left hundreds wounded.

Trump expressed gratitude to Pakistani officials for their role in apprehending Muhammed Sharifullah, the man identified as the mastermind behind the bombing. "This was a very momentous day for those 13 families, who I actually got to know very well," Trump said.

The families of the fallen troops have repeatedly criticized President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, blaming them for the failed withdrawal that left hundreds of Americans and thousands of Afghan allies behind. Many parents of those killed have voiced frustration, stating they received little support from the administration. In 2024, they directed their outrage at Harris during her presidential campaign, condemning her and Biden's handling of the situation.

Trump also linked the Biden administration's withdrawal to broader geopolitical consequences, arguing that the debacle projected weakness on the world stage. "Such incompetence was shown that when Putin saw what happened, I guess he said, 'well, maybe this is my chance.' That's how bad it was," Trump said, alluding to Russia's invasion of Ukraine just months later.

The president emphasized that the loss of American lives in Kabul should never have happened and reiterated his commitment to holding those responsible accountable. "I spoke to many of the parents and loved ones, and they're all in our hearts tonight," Trump said. "We had a big call. Every one of them called. And everybody was on the line and they did nothing but cry with happiness."

No Democrats applauded this, either. You can see them sullenly scrolling through TikTok as Trump made this surprise announcement in the video below.

Disney-Owned ABC "News" Lays Off 200, Axes Its Fake "538" Poll-Rigging Site

Back around 2010, a jubilant Andrew Breitbart told me that the entire media would collapse and be "gone" -- "GONE!" -- in five years.

His prediction was off by a decade, but it was basically accurate.

ABC News staffers are bracing for imminent layoffs while the division will restructure its programming including the merging of its "20/20" and "Nightline" programs and the consolidation of its "Good Morning America" productions, according to reports.

The Walt Disney Co. is set to lay off around 200 people from its ABC News Group division as well as its Disney Entertainment Networks unit -- a move that constitutes cutting some 6% of the combined staff of the two units, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Almin Karamehmedovic, president of ABC News, circulated a memo to employees on Wednesday morning confirming the changes.

...

A source told The Post that the layoffs will be spread over Wednesday and Thursday and that staffers at "World News Tonight" will also be affected.

The reported changes at ABC News first appeared in Oliver Darcy's Status newsletter on Wednesday.

The Post has sought comment from ABC News and Disney.

One casualty of the cost-cutting measure is the FiveThirtyEight data news site -- the operation founded by Nate Silver which came to prominence in the 2008 and 2012 elections for accurately predicting the results.

According to the Journal, the entire site is being axed and all 15 of its employees will be handed pink slips.

538 was founded by liberal Nate Silver. It was purchased by ABC "News" who then got rid of Nate Silver and replaced that liberally-biased analyst with gonzo partisans who didn't even try to analyze polls accurately. They were straight-up goons who manipulated polls to tell their progressive cultist audience pleasing lies. Even Silver himself routinely attacked his old firm for biased and inaccurate methodologies.

538 lied progressives into complacency about 2024. Now they're fired.

ABC is also planning to consolidate "Good Morning America" and its third hour, "GMA3," into one production unit, according to the report.

One ABC staffer told Status that "people are freaked" as it wasn't clear when the layoffs would be announced this week.

Disney is also laying off employees at its Disney Entertainment Networks, which oversees cable channels including Freeform and FX.

Happy Humpday!

Wednesday Morning Rant

Style

Trump's State of the Union (yeah, yeah, whatever) address was last night and it was remarkable on a couple of fronts. There were two stand-out patterns in his speech and I think both are effective and bode well for the future: it was ruthless, and it was personal. Trump also got a yuge assist from the Democrats last night, in more ways than one.

SOTU addresses typically follow a pattern, and Trump's was no exception. That pattern is "this is what happened last year, and this is what we're doing this year." Trump's speech conformed with that broad pattern, but with an entirely different implication. It was, "this is what you - you monstrous goons in the Democrat Party - did last year, and this is what I am going to fix." The opening half of his address was brutal on the Democrats.

The Morning Report — 3/ 5 /25

TrumpPatton.jpg

Good morning kids. Last night's grand slam slam dunk of a speech from President Trump, was masterful not necessarily from a rhetorical standpoint but from the fact that what he said is backed up by six incredible weeks of accomplishments. Perhaps the biggest is causing the Democrat Left to reveal themselves for the mean, miserable lowlife tyrannical scum that they are for everyone to see. Meh, If Malig-Nancy Pelosi didn't prove that by her pretending to rip up Donald Trump's state of the union speech several years back then nothing would. What proves it is that a very broad swathe of the American people approve of his agenda and even his bull-in-a-china-shop way of getting things done. Meh, it only seems that way because no one else in my memory has even come close to accomplishing the things he's done, that we all had been wishing for for so so very long.

To underscore this are several breaking stories including the fact that Pissant Pysanky Zelensky is crawling back to Trump and begging forgiveness for sabotaging the negotiations last week, contra the narrative from the virtually nearly completely discredited propaganda press. The public's distrust now at historic levels is also a big accomplishment for Trump.

Breaking early this morning is the news of the capture of the ISIS Muslim terrorist behind the Islamikaze suicide bombing of the Kabul Abbey Gate that left 13 Yanks blasted to smithereens when Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants and company decided on a snap bug out from Afghanistan.

We also have news of a major chip manufacturer as well as Honda repatriating jobs back to the USA thanks to Trump's tariffs. Nearly $1 Trillion in foreign investments coming to our shores since Trump was sworn in.

Of course, Al Green, not the wonderful gospel/R&B Singer, but the sub-literate Olduvai Gorge mutant/escapee with the intellectual agility of an amoeba who poses as a congressman was emblematic of Democrat crudeness, boorishness, petulance and general coarseness. Of course, en masse, the sitting on their hands when Donald Trump made a young boy suffering from terminal brain cancer an honorary Secret Service agent speaks volumes as to who and what the Democrats are. A Pox on our House going back over two hundred years.

In normal times, the run-up to a presidential address to Congress would be filled with reports and guesses about what the president would say.

There was plenty of that this week, but an inordinate amount of the focus in Washington was on how Democrats would react to Donald Trump. How many would boycott? How would the members dress? Would they hoot and holler, or maybe march out in an organized pro-test?

In the end, it didn’t matter. They were a sad, shrunken presence, especially after one of their main stooges, Rep. Al Green of Texas, got himself ejected early on by repeatedly interrupting.

He was the lucky one. Those Dems who stayed were like fish out of water, waving their silly little paddles and representing nothing except resistance to whatever Trump said or did. . .

. . . Calling them a clown show is an insult to clowns. They earned their trip to the political wilderness and Tuesday proved they are not yet ready to emerge as a constructive opposition party.

Meanwhile, the president they love to hate put on a show for the ages. No commander in chief in modern times has seized the reins of power with such gusto and delivered such immediate results. True to form, Trump wasn’t shy about saying so. .

. . . We are witnessing a president at the top of his game. Clear-eyed and confident about himself and his agenda, he put on a master class in presidential leadership in what was a speech for the ages.

Most times, a political address of 90 minutes would feel like an eternity. In the hands of Trump, it felt like a well-paced adventure through the dreams, hopes and tragedies of the people inhabiting the most important nation on Earth.

The Trump on that stage is not just the dominant figure in American life. In six short weeks, he has put our nation at the center of the world and made America important again. . .

. . . But while having a period of being in the opposition is pretty much par for political life, rarely do we see an entire party desperately searching for relevance.

That’s where the Dems are. They are irrelevant because they stand for nothing except they are against everything Trump is for.

There’s no future in that and their sad performance Tuesday night proved they have learned nothing.

I would say it's not that the Democrats have learned nothing. They will always be the seat and party of evil, anti-American, anti-Judeo/Christian, anti-Western Enlightenment tyranny. The question is have the American people or will the American people as a whole or at least many more than ever before finally learn this over the next four years.

That is the crucial question. Being in the poolitical wilderness is generally a temporary situation. What is required is for a sea change in the American psyche that will take hold and sprout over the course of the next several generations of Americans. There must be an American Renaissance similar to what our Founders put forth from 1776 and 1789 so that another progressive/Leftist counter-revolution can never succeed again.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

LET'S GET READY TO TRRRRRUMBLE: Trump's Sorta SOTU Speech

Trump will announce a minerals deal with Ukraine:

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration and Ukraine plan to sign the much-debated minerals deal following a disastrous Oval Office meeting Friday in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was dismissed from the building, four people familiar with the situation said on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump has told his advisers that he wants to announce the agreement in his address to Congress Tuesday evening, three of the sources said, cautioning that the deal had yet to be signed and the situation could change.

Trump's 47 accomplishments so far.

Reuters spoke to completely apolitical objective "analysts" who revealed the planned spin -- Trump's speech will be "imperial," these impartial "analysts" say.

So they're using the word "imperial" because their pollsters told them that "fascist," "authoritarian," and "Republic-threatening" weren't working any longer.

Amazing: By Simply Enforcing the Laws, Trump Has Reduced Illegal Border Crossings to the Lowest Level In 25 Years

No one could have predicted it!

Amid Trump crackdown, illegal border crossings plunge to levels not seen in decades

The number of migrants crossing the U.S. southern border illegally in President Trump's first full month in office plunged to a level not seen in at least 25 years, according to preliminary government data obtained by CBS News.

Last month, Border Patrol recorded about 8,450 apprehensions of migrants who crossed into the country unlawfully between official entry points along the U.S.-Mexico border, the statistics show.

On some days during a record spike in illegal crossings under the Biden administration, Border Patrol recorded more than 8,000 apprehensions in a single day.

February's total, which could be adjusted when the government officially publishes the statistics, would be the lowest monthly apprehensions tally recorded by Border Patrol since at least fiscal year 2000, the last period with public monthly data. The final tallies usually don't deviate much from the preliminary figures.

Over the past 25 years, the only time monthly apprehensions came close to the level recorded in February was in April 2017, when Border Patrol apprehended 11,000 migrants at the southwest border, agency data show.

The Trump Administration has removed over 50,000 criminal aliens, and Trump is unsatisfied with this pace.

When immigration agents were first ordered to deport Ivan Oramas and Santos Maradiaga-Villalta, President George W. Bush was in the White House and the iPhone was a distant dream.

That was over two decades ago--yet both men were arrested this week, according to federal data reviewed by DailyMail.com.

They were among over 50,000 illegal immigrants removed so far, a Department of Homeland Security official revealed to DailyMail.com.

News of their arrest was circulated Thursday in an internal immigration memo noting recent enforcement actions made by President Donald Trump's administration.

Oramas, 61, is a citizen of Cuba with a rap sheet including convictions for sexual battery and aggravated assault.

His sexual battery case caused serious injury, according to his charges in the file.

ICE Houston nabbed Oramas this week, enforcing a deportation order first handed down in October 2003--21 years overdue.

Maradiaga-Villalta, a 40-year-old alien from Honduras, has convictions for smuggling aliens into the U.S. He was arrested recently by ICE in Phoenix. His first deportation order dates back to January 2006, a 19-year lapse in action.

Now, as Trump's administration continues ramping up its crackdown on illegal immigration, these long-evading, at large fugitives are getting taken in after decades of delays.

Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem announced that in conjunction with Border Czar Tom Homan, immigration officials have already apprehended over 20,000 at large illegal aliens since Trump was sworn in.

'That's a 627% increase in monthly arrests compared to just 33,000 at large arrests under Biden for ALL of last year,' she wrote in a post on X.

In another post on the platform she bragged that DHS has slashed border encounters from 15,000 a day under Joe Biden to just 200 under Trump.

It's a '15-year low,' she wrote.

Among the other criminals that surfaced in this week's federal data were Guatemalan national Alexis Aquirre-Velasquez, 37, who was ordered out of the U.S. 12 years ago in February 2013.

He was charged with four counts of indecent liberty with a child and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Ed Morrissey writes that Trump has exposed Democrats' decades of lying about the supposed insolvability of the issue.

Let's not pussyfoot around this point: Everything Harris and Biden said about border enforcement was a bald-faced lie. Biden and Harris didn't need that bill to enforce border security and control immigration enforcement. Trump had managed to do it without that bill for the four years of his first term. Biden and Harris created the border crisis because they wanted to force Republicans into a bad "compromise" bill that would leave illegal crossings at historic highs for as long as possible. Their progressive-elite clique detests borders and sneers at American legitimacy, and would have never even cared about the crisis unless Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis started to bus illegals into places like Washington DC, New York, and Chicago.

Trump exposed it as a lie within less than two months in office. Trump did more to secure America's southern border in 40 days than Biden and Harris did in four years. And he did it under existing laws, with the existing resources already at the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. Congress didn't need to lift a finger to allow the executive branch to secure the borders and deal directly with the traffickers of both humans and drugs. Trump didn't even need to build the wall to get immediate results, although that will be coming.

Joe Biden lied.

Kamala Harris lied.

Nancy Pelosi lied.

Astoundingly, by which I mean "Obviously," the Democrats' are continuing to double-down on these absurd lies. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says Trump isn't securing the border -- the Democrats are.

Senate Democrats Block Bill to Reserve Girls' Sports to Girls Because They're Psychopaths

The Democrats are absolutely determined to not have that post-mortem the party desperately needs.

Senate Democrats on Monday blocked a measure that sought to ban transgender girls and women from competing on school sports teams that match their gender identity.

The 51-45 vote fell short of the 60 required to advance the bill. Republicans, who control 53 seats in the upper chamber, needed at least seven Democrats to join them if all members were present and voting.

Only 51? Which Republicans balked?

Collins and Murkowski, I wonder?

ScaryMary provides the facts:

7 Surprisingly, Murk and Collins voted yes. Capito (R-WV) and Lummis (R-WY) didn't bother to vote.

"This is the third time that I've had a vote on this bill. The other two times have failed because we have had almost zero Democrats help to support women and girls in sports," Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, who co-sponsored the legislation, said ahead of the procedural vote.

The bill, known as the "Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act," would prevent schools from receiving federal funding if they allow transgender girls and women to participate in female athletic programs. It adds that a person's sex "shall be recognized based solely on a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth."

The House passed a similar Republican-led measure in January, with two Democrats joining the Republican majority.

...

Polling in recent years has found a lack of support for transgender athletes participating on sports teams that match their gender identity.

Did you have trouble understanding that sentence? Then CBS "News" accomplished its goal of obfuscation. What they're saying, while trying not to say it, is that it's very unpopular to allow men to beat up women in women's sports.

In other words, Senate Democrats sided with the 13% of voters who believe biological males should be allowed to compete in women's sports.
