102 One of the most effective and moving portraits of Mary I've seen. She is every human mother, so feminine in her figure, her gentle hands, and peaceful expression as she holds her newborn. The dark background makes Mary and Jesus the only focus and gives them a luminous quality. The Cherubs are the only hint at the holiness of the event, otherwise it is so completely a human moment.

Behold, a seely tender babe
In freezing winter night
In homely manger trembling lies,—
Alas, a piteous sight!
The inns are full, no man will yield
This little pilgrim bed,
But forced he is with seely beasts
In crib to shroud his head.
Despise him not for lying there,
First, what he is enquire,
An orient pearl is often found

Weigh not his crib, his wooden dish,

Weigh not his mother's poor attire
Nor Joseph's simple weed.

This crib his chair of state,
The beasts are parcel of his pomp,
The wooden dish his plate.
The persons in that poor attire
His royal liveries wear;
The prince himself is come from heaven—
This pomp is prized there.
With joy approach, O Christian wight,
Do homage to thy king;
And highly prize his humble pomp
Which he from heaven doth bring.

141 The major theme of Christ's birth is that of poverty. The Word spoke the entire universe into existence. He owns and commands it all (including, for example, the asteroid 16 Psyche, that contains an estimated ... stupid-money lot of gold), but gave it up to take on flesh and be born in a cave and laid in a food trough.

By his birth, he demonstrates his love for us, but also for the beauty of God's creation, which exists for God's glory, and not for our pleasure or comfort.

Our weak and insufficient, but still appropriate, response to Christ's birth is to care deeply for everyone who is less fortunate than ourselves. By this we worship God and show our love for him.

208 Universal Basic Income will get Homeless People Up Off the Street and Up On Their Feet. It would also Reduce Crime since People would no longer do Desperate Things to Survive. Furthermore, it would pay and feed Landlords, Supermarkets, and Pharmacies.

I doubt this will ever happen. Current government assistance covers some of the bases. Comparisons will be made to Covid-era STIM checks, which caused inflation.

Inflation caused as much by supply chain disruptions as anything else. And oligarchs arbitrarily raising price because of corporate greed.

If we could get UBI and Medicare for All that would be a great political accomplishment. This has actually been discussed about since the 80s. The day of automation, robots, and AI is going to replace almost everyone is here. Sadly, it won't happen until senate is apportioned by population.

Maybe UBI should be $20,000-$30,000 a year? More for Families. All that money would mostly feed Landlords, Supermarkets, and Pharmacies. The Economy would boom. Crime would go down significantly as people would not have to resort to desperate acts to survive. This is a decent policy...send to your elected officials

At 66 years old, one Sherman Oaks, California-based mom thought she'd be enjoying an empty nest with her husband. Since their 27-year-old moved back home in early 2024, the mother, who asked to remain anonymous to protect her daughter's identity, says she and her husband are spending close to $5,000 a month covering all of her daughter's living expenses. This includes up to $1,500 on food, $700 on transportation and $400 on her pet cat, the mother says.

Commies keep trying to recreate the dynamics of a loving family where the parents work to sustain their children.

From each according to their abilities, and to each according to their needs only works when you have a loving and mutually respectful relationship in a family. It rarely scales well unless mebbe monasteries, etc. where the participants are screened out for slackers, etc.

Or are they saying there's no Epstein client _blackmail_ list?
'Cause if the latter, it sounds like they are being hyper-technical.

Like, there's no list that goes something like:
"Prince Charles, 2 videos of sex with a young boy. Paying $100k per month."

Now, that's not to say that that list can't be built.

I'd also suggest that the biggest source of his income wasn't blackmail but accommodating their depravity with absolute, guaranteed discretion.
And if he was an IC asset, there's a big chance he had no idea, or was kept ignorant, of the blackmail side.
There is no Epstein blackmail list.
B/c it's the CIA's list.

I didn't see the article but if the kids don't want to get a job after a reasonable amount of time looking then the parents should not be paying for them. We show our son the bills: "This is your health insurance, This is your car insurance " and say "We expect you to pay at least part of them. He also pays for the food for some kind of diet he's on to lose fat and gain muscle.

This seems to be growing concern for some people: Kids coming back home, and I think there are therapists who people who deal with putting down expectations with kids.

292 She also remains on their medical insurance! Another problem with the ACA (Medicare/Medicaid), places where people don't need or want to grow up.

295 she and her husband are spending close to $5,000 a month covering all of her daughter's living expenses. This includes up to $1,500 on food, $700 on transportation and $400 on her pet cat, the mother says.

Maybe it's time to cut back and only cover necessary expenses. The daughter can pay for her own pet cat if having a pet is that important. Maybe the daughter could also pack her own lunch
