Howdy Hordelings! Oh - you were expecting an ONT from Weird Dave? Well...

Personal Note This is the last Thursday ONT I will be writing. I've been doing this for almost ten years, I'm tired boss. Don't worry, I'll still be kicking your weekend off right by meeting your meme needs on the Friday ONT, but starting next week Thursdays will be covered by the eminently capable Doof. It's been a pleasure and an honor to entertain you Morons all these years. So, time to step on in and see how "eminently capable" this Doof guy really is!

Family with covered wagon
Kansas, 1908
a man took it home and cared for it until it healed. The Cat Version of John Bolton drops subtle hints that he's ready for treats and/or invading Pakistan. "Eighteen more years of this bullshit." A pet blanket. Dog munches on fresh strawberries. He became immersed in the story. Helm's Deep, India. (Someone pointed out that you would never in a million years build a fortress at the bottom of a mountain gully because your enemies could just climb the mountain and start dropping 500 pound blocks of stone on you. All day long. Until the stone runs out. This kind of ruins Two Towers for me.)
An adoption story.

A Louisville father is demanding answers after a repeat offender, who had been released early from a 14-year prison sentence under "shock probation," allegedly broke into his home, kidnapped his wife and two sons at knifepoint, and forced them to help rob a local bank. "It's pure shock... your heart feels like it falls out of your body," Brandon Strong told "Fox & Friends" Tuesday as he recalled the terrifying moment he learned what had happened. "It's a call you never expect to get as a father, a husband or even a human." Armond Langford reportedly entered Strong's home and forced his wife and two of his three children to drive him to a nearby PNC Bank. Langford fled the scene after robbing the bank, sending police on an hours-long manhunt before he was apprehended. Strong's wife was transported to the hospital and treated for stab wounds. Langford boasts a lengthy track record, including 19 robberies and one burglary. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison in February 2024 but was released six months later when Judge Jessica Green granted him shock probation, according to a local report. Shock probation is a legal provision that allows a judge to release an offender early from prison, often after serving just a few months of a longer sentence, and place them under strict probation supervision. The idea is that the initial "shock" of incarceration will be enough to deter the individual from committing future crimes. So "shock incarceration" is like Michael Scott's fake firing? You put a hardened criminal in jail for a few weeks and then let him out, saying "just kidding." And that's supposed to teach people that breaking the law has serious consequences? Demonstrating that crime has no consequences and that the law is basically a practical joke is supposed to teach people to respect the law? We're willing to try almost every "reform" except for the ones that work, like locking up repeat violent criminals, huh?
Sherrod Brown, who was just defeated for Ohio senator after serving for 18 miserably leftwing years, is going to run again, hoping to recapture the seat.
Langford is now in custody on a $1 million bond, but questions are mounting about why he was free in the first place. Strong slammed the court system for the release and directed a message to the judge. "It's squarely on you. This is something that was not a surprise to anyone... it's a pattern. This is something that's stemming back nearly a decade. This guy is robbing people, he's robbing businesses, and you stamped this for him to be rehabilitated based on what?
After losing his re-election bid in 2024, three-term Ohio Democratic senator Sherrod Brown will be launching a new bid next year to return to his position, according to a report. Brown's plans to run for Senate were shared with local media by three Ohio labor leaders who said that Brown had confided in them directly about the plans. Other Ohio Democrats also expressed to the outlet that they had heard of Brown's plan from members of his inner circle, and the reporting follows news that Brown has been interviewing campaign managers for his upcoming bid. Brown was ousted in 2024 by MAGA challenger and current freshman Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno, who came out victorious with 50.2% of the vote, compared to Brown's 46.4%. Despite the brushing defeat, Democratic Party Senate leader, Chuck Schumer, has reportedly lobbied Brown to run for months. If selected as the Democratic Party's candidate, Brown's likely GOP opponent would be Sen. Jon Husted, R-Ohio, who was appointed to fill Vice President J.D. Vance's seat after he left for the White House. A 2026 special election will decide who will serve out the remainder of Vance's term, which lasts until 2029.
An Arizona leftist state senator is doubling down on doxxing ICE.
Last week, Arizona State Sen. Analise Ortiz, vulgarly defended her actions after she admitted to alerting illegal immigrants to ICE presence in her district. The Glendale leftist, who also is accused of doxxing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, shook her fist at "fascists and white supremacists in power in Arizona," and claimed she had a right to interfere in federal immigration law enforcement activities. "Yep. When ICE is around, I will alert my community to stay out of the area, and I'm not f***king scared of you nor Trump's masked goons," the lawmaker wrote in response to the conservative social media site Libs of TikTok outing Ortiz for "actively impeding and doxxing" ICE. But "alerting" her community could very well tip off some very dangerous people who represent a clear and present danger to the community at large.I missed this last week: Marks & Spencer is apologizing to a mother after a transgender employee offered to help her fourteen-year-old daughter... in a bra fitting.
'Will be Investigated' In a statement, Arizona State Senate President Warren Petersen said he has referred the matter to U.S. Attorney, Arizona District for investigation. And Petersen told The Federalist last week that an ethics complaint has been filed in the Senate against Ortiz "and will be investigated through the course of the normal complaint process at the legislature." Ortiz has since doubled down on her defiant rhetoric, asserting her speech is protected under the First Amendment. "I am not intimidated by this because what I did was simply alert my community to stay away from an area where ICE could be to keep themselves safe," she told ABC15 Arizona in an interview.
The retailer said it was "truly sorry" after the mother complained that her 14-year-old daughter had felt uncomfortable when they were approached by a trans shop assistant in the lingerie area of the shop, where they were hoping to have a bra fitting. Although the staff member was polite, the mother said she felt it was "completely inappropriate" for her daughter to be approached by a "biological male" in that section. In a complaint to M&S, she told the retailer: "Imagine her horror, then, when the person to approach us and ask if we needed help was a transgender 'woman', ie, a biological male. "This is obviously the case: he is at least 6ft 2in tall... My daughter recoiled, so I politely declined the offer and we left immediately. She was visibly upset and said she felt 'freaked out'."Yes, she should be. This is an autogynephile who is sexually excited by larping publicly as a woman and attempting to cadge his way into women's intimate places. Via John Sexton, who notes that M&S will not instruct the transgender to stop offering to cup 14-year-old girls' breasts, but will merely make sure an actual woman is available to help them if they specifically ask for a woman. The group Sex Matters says this is not sufficient:
Fiona McAnena, director of campaigns for the human rights charity Sex Matters, which campaigns for clarity about biological sex in law and life, said that M&S needed to "rethink its priorities". "This is what happens when a business centres the feelings of men who identify as women, even at the expense of their own customers. It is entirely inappropriate for a man to approach a teenage girl in a lingerie department. "Being dressed in women's clothes doesn't change that. It's extraordinary that a man would regard himself as entitled to do such a thing; most men know how unwelcome that would be.This was the whole point of the "trans women are women" psyop: to deny anyone the ability to say "But, your know, in reality, this is an adult man offering to help select and fit a bra for a fourteen year old girl." See, you can't see that, because trans women are women. And if this transgender wants to go in the dressing room with your teenage daughter and play Bra Fashion Show, well, you have to accept that. Because, I repeat, trans women are women. Via David Strom: You won't believe this, but Obama, who claimed that accusations that he was a socialist were racist conspiracy theories, is now embracing Zohran Mamdani, who now admits he's a socialist (in order to avoid admitting the truth, that he's a Marxist communist and Stalinist.) The innumerate DEI columnist Mara Gay writes:
Is anyone in the media going to start asking Democrats about their century of lying about not being socialists? Or are we supposed to believe they just heard about socialism for the first time and so this is a sudden conversion rather than a predilection long hidden? Democrat Cultists have a fever: More socialism, more profanity, more political violence, and a nation filled to the brim with illegal aliens from sea to shining sea.
In the days after it became clear Zohran Mamdani had won New York City's June mayoral primary, much of the Democratic establishment began to panic. Former President Barack Obama, the last Democrat to captivate the party's base, got on the phone. In a lengthy call in June, Mr. Obama congratulated Mr. Mamdani, offered him advice about governing and discussed the importance of giving people hope in a dark time, according to people with knowledge of the conversation. Others in Mr. Obama's orbit have also shown a keen interest in Mr. Mamdani and his campaign. Jon Favreau, who served as Mr. Obama's speechwriter, and Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior adviser, have been in communication with the Democratic strategist Morris Katz, among Mr. Mamdani's closest aides. David Axelrod, who served as Mr. Obama's chief campaign strategist and senior adviser, was also curious. Last month, he stopped by Mr. Mamdani's campaign headquarters, then in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, to meet the candidate and his staff, and see things for himself. "What I found when I went over to that office was a familiar spirit that I hadn't seen in a while of just determined, upbeat idealism," Mr. Axelrod told me. "You may not agree with every answer he's giving, or every idea he has, but he's certainly asking the right questions, which is how do we make the country work for working people?" He said Mr. Mamdani's ability to inspire young Americans, who feel economic uncertainty acutely, was critical and something the party at large needed to reckon with. Mr. Axelrod was introduced to Mr. Mamdani by Patrick Gaspard, another Obama insider. Mr. Gaspard -- Mr. Obama's 2008 national political director, and later the U.S. ambassador to South Africa -- has been serving as an informal adviser to Mr. Mamdani. The interest from the closely guarded world of Mr. Obama and those around him is the clearest sign yet that Mr. Mamdani is likely to be embraced by the Democratic mainstream, whether the party's leaders and donors like it or not. It comes at a time of dueling visions among voters, Democratic politicians and donors over the future of the party. Some key figures within the Democratic establishment have reacted -- at least publicly -- to Mr. Mamdani with a sense of suspicion or even alarm. Hakeem Jeffries, the House minority leader, has yet to endorse the Democratic nominee, even though Brooklyn, which he represents, voted for Mr. Mamdani over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo by a nearly 20-point margin. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, also of New York, said falsely in a radio interview with WNYC in June that Mr. Mamdani had made "references to global jihad." Ms. Gillibrand later apologized for those remarks. As The Times reported, the pollster Mark Penn even met with President Trump to brief him on polls showing that Mr. Cuomo could be competitive in a one-on-one race with Mr. Mamdani; one of Mr. Penn's firms has worked for a pro-Cuomo super PAC. It seems very possible that Obamaworld views Mr. Mamdani differently: not as a threat or a liability, but as a promising figure in a Democratic Party with a pressing need for fresh blood.
The Democratic Party is hideously unpopular heading into next year's midterms. This is a problem for the small faction of Democrats who think the party should prioritize winning elections over throwing performative tantrums and other theater kid nonsense. It's less of a problem for the Democrats who are actually leading the party right now and setting the agenda for 2026. They are loud, obnoxious, profane, and passionate in their defense of illegal immigrants and other criminals. Rules? They don't believe in rules. "There are no refs in this game," said Beto O'Rourke, the thrice-failed candidate for governor, president, and U.S. Senate, at a rally in support of Texas Democrats who fled the state to avoid doing their jobs. "Fuck the rules, we are going to win. Whatever it takes." O'Rourke has emerged as one of the Democratic Party's most prominent leaders after his political action committee paid for the private jet that took the fleeing Democrats to Illinois earlier this month. This week, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton asked a judge to order Beto's arrest after the obnoxious Columbia grad violated a court order by continuing to raise money to support the fugitives. O'Rourke, who flamed out of the 2020 primary after yelling profanely about abolishing guns, has also urged Democrats to fight harder in defense of the illegal immigrant community "that makes this country so goddamn great." When Democrats reclaim power, he said, they would "drive that car like we stole it" to end deportations and approve a sweeping amnesty bill for unlawful residents. It's a message echoed by some of the most fashionable Democratic candidates across the country. Zohran Mamdani, the widely celebrated radical socialist vying to be the next mayor of New York City, has vowed to block federal immigration agents from operating in the city and described his efforts to secure taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants as one of his "greatest victories." Omar Fateh, another radical socialist running for mayor of Minneapolis, recently said one of his top priorities would be protecting "our undocumented residents" from a "hostile federal government." Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas), the potty-mouthed diva who has become a rising star thanks to her public tantrums and phony accent, has argued that illegal immigration was "not a crime." She most recently went viral for calling Donald Trump a "piece of shit" on her nationwide publicity tour. Vulnerable Democrats are enlisting Crockett to help them raise money for the midterms. Antonio White, a former Treasury official in the Obama and Biden administrations, penned an op-ed in The Hill this week urging Democratic leaders to follow Crockett's lead. "She is the base. She is the moment," he wrote. "Whether you like her delivery or not, she's speaking a language people understand--and that's exactly what this party needs."

Fake recusals -- like when Loretta Lynch claimed she was recusing herself from the Clinton email investigation, but remained active and oversaw her subordinate James Comey who she put "in charge" of the case -- are a hallmark of this case. It's the worst corruption. A recusal is necessary in cases where someone has a conflict of interest. It keeps investigations clean. But these people are so conflicted they are determined to remain in charge of these investigations to direct them to the outcome they desire. So they keep pretending to "recuse" themselves while maintaining all power over all people who are supposedly in charge of the investigation. The Jussie Smollett "prosecutor," Kim Foxx, played the same game.
FBI Director Kash Patel has uncovered a bombshell memo written in 2017 chronicling the extensive political obstruction that career agents in three cities faced from their own bosses and the Obama Justice Department during the 2016 election as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation. "Shut it down!" then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the detailed timeline of political impediments that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported. The agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department. The timeline -- written by a DOJ lawyer assigned to the FBI under former bureau Director James Comey -- was recently secured by top aides to Patel along with several corroborating internal emails and was obtained by Just the News. Together, they make clear that both the DOJ and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe placed significant impediments in front of agents who believed they had evidence to justify a public integrity criminal case. The declassified timeline revealed that as early as February 2016, the Justice Department "indicated they would not be supportive of an FBI investigation." The timeline also shows that, in mid-February 2016, McCabe ordered that "no overt investigative steps" were allowed to be taken in the Clinton Foundation investigation "without his approval" -- a command he allegedly repeated numerous times over the coming months. ... Declassified Timeline on Clinton Foundation Investigation The roadblocks just kept coming, the timeline shows, to the great frustration of the agents and the U.S. attorney's office in Little Rock, which had moved to a fully predicated criminal investigation. Patel's discovery of the memo and related emails comes at a sensitive time as Attorney General Pam Bondi has approved the use of a strike force and a grand jury to investigate whether law enforcement and intelligence abuses over the last decade amounted to a criminal conspiracy to protect Democrats like Clinton and Joe Biden while inflicting harm on Trump and his followers. Officials told Just the News that DOJ also has secured potential cooperation from current and former prosecutors and agents who were willing to assist any investigation in possible obstruction of the Clinton probes.
"Shut it down!" No explanation given The timeline detailed how Yates ordered one of the federal prosecutors to "shut it down" likely in the March 2016 timeframe. Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) and Eastern District of New York (EDNY) purportedly said in August 2016 that they "would not support the investigation" into the Clinton Foundation, according to the timeline, and that "no explanation was given." Once the investigation had essentially been delayed for a year and dragged past the November 2016 election, the timeline shows that DOJ officials under Trump then began to raise their "concerns regarding the statute of limitations" around the investigation, with one still unnamed official saying that they "wanted to close this chapter and move forward." Yates did not immediately respond to a request sent to her via her law firm email, and McCabe did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent to him through George Mason University. The Clinton Foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent through its website. McCabe was the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office, but he soon ascended to Deputy Director of the FBI under Comey, where the Justice Department inspector general said he "had an active role in the supervision of the Midyear [Clinton emails] investigation, and oversight of the Clinton Foundation investigation, until he recused himself from these investigations on November 1, 2016" -- just days before the election. By that time, most political fallout against Hillary Clinton from the FBI's probes had been neutralized. Inspector General Horowitz noted that his investigation "found that McCabe did not fully comply with this recusal in a few instances related to the Clinton Foundation investigation."
Read the whole thing. The agents kept presenting evidence sufficient to begin an investigation, and DOJ and FBI officials -- who the agents themselves said were conflicted due to their strong political support of the Clintons -- kept shutting the investigations down. Or, in many cases, pretended the investigations were "open," but no investigatory steps could be taken without Andrew McCabe's permission-- which he refused to grant.
No matter where agents turned to get support to investigate Clinton's alleged corruption, they were thwarted, the memo located by Patel reveals. ... ... The Durham report previously said the FBI's Little Rock investigation [into the Clinton Foundation grift] was launched in part due to an intelligence product and corroborating financial reporting that a particular commercial "industry likely engaged a federal public official in a flow of benefits scheme, namely, large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of the federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and/or influence." ... Durham also said the FBI's Little Rock and New York investigations "included predication based on source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton." Despite that evidence, the FBI timeline stated that DOJ "indicated they would not be supportive of an FBI investigation" on February 1, 2016. The timeline said that personnel from the FBI's Little Rock office raised concerns that a redacted official "may not want to be a party to the briefing because of conflicts of interest" during an early February 2016 meeting. A redacted Little Rock official "expressed these concerns due to the possibility that" another redacted official "was believed to be a supporter of the Democratic Party and possibly the Clintons." There was a meeting between officials from the New York and Washington field offices, and possibly the Little Rock field office, on February 17, 2016 according to the timeline. McCabe "led the meeting" and "was advised" by the New York field office about a confidential human source (CHS) "who possibly had information on the matter." During this meeting, McCabe "directed that no overt investigative steps were to be taken on the CF investigation without his approval."

The Free Beacon: DC has been faking crime stats for years.
A DC Police Sergeant Exposed Her Superiors for Misclassifying Crimes To Make Stats Look Low. The City Just Quietly Settled Her Lawsuit.I mentioned Carl Cannon's reporting that cops are told to accept someone's word for it that their knife would or gunshot wound was "just an accident" so they don't have to record a felony assault. Even though it has been reported again and again that a high-ranking officer in the DC police brass was suspended for faking crime statistics, the Gaslight Media has a fever, and the only cure is repeating these fake statistics over and over and over.
Records revealed in the suit from police sergeant Charlotte Djossou showed that department leadership directed subordinates to file theft and violent crimes as lower-level offenses
Alana Goodman
August 14, 2025 The District of Columbia has quietly settled a lawsuit from a sergeant who accused Metropolitan Police Department leaders of misclassifying offenses to deflate the district's crime statistics, court records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. Police brass repeatedly told officers to downgrade theft cases, knife attacks, and violent assaults to lesser offenses, according to internal MPD emails, depositions, and phone call transcripts the Free Beacon reviewed. Former MPD sergeant Charlotte Djossou sued the department in 2020, alleging that police leadership punished her for speaking out against the scheme. Djossou, who joined the force after serving honorably in Iraq, accused MPD brass of attempting to "distort crime statistics" by "downgrading a number of felonies to misdemeanors, so that there will be 'fewer' felonies in the statistics." She also provided records showing that police leaders explicitly instructed their subordinates to underclassify certain instances of theft to keep them out of the crime stats the city reports to the public. The lawsuit, as well as the city's decision to settle, calls into question the prevailing narrative presented in mainstream media outlets as President Donald Trump carries out a D.C. crime crackdown. The New York Times, Washington Post, and Politico have all cited data from the Metropolitan Police Department to contend that D.C. crime is low and Trump's crackdown is unnecessary. That coverage did not mention whistleblowers like Djossou, nor did it disclose that a D.C. police commander is currently on leave after the city's police union accused him of manipulating crime stats. Though elements of Djossou's case have previously been reported, the settlement has not. Neither have several exhibits the legal proceedings brought to light, including a 2022 deposition of MPD commander Randy Griffin. At the time of the events in question, Griffin oversaw D.C's Fourth District in the northernmost part of the city. He confirmed in his deposition that he tasked a police captain, Franklin Porter, with finding "a solution for the theft problem, which was driving up the district's statistics" in April 2018. Porter's solution, devised alongside former MPD lieutenant Andrew Zabavsky, was to use the "Taking Property Without Right" (TPWOR) classification instead of "Shoplifting" or "Theft," Griffin confirmed in the deposition. Court records show that Zabavsky--currently serving a 48-month sentence for covering up an unrelated murder case--"acknowledged this was done because TPWOR reports are not tracked in the D.C. Crime Report."
Without ever once conceding that the numbers are fake or even unreliable. Or even simply challenged.
Liberal cable networks CNN and MSNBC have been citing fabricated statistics in an attempt to debunk President Trump's claims on Monday about rampant crime in Washington, D.C. Over the past 24 hours, these two networks have cited the dubious statistics over 70 times, while refusing to acknowledge that a D.C. police official was suspended for tampering with those stats just months ago. Summary of findings: Over 24 hours, CNN and MSNBC cited manipulated D.C. crime statistics 73 times. This is a critical falsification for the left, because they have pursued a policy of "decarceration" and, essentially, immunity of black people from criminal law since George Floyd's heart committed a racial assault against him. And yes, this is about black people specifically. BLM and the Democrat Cult did not begin a five year crusade to legalize crime for the sake of white perpetrators. The Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) celebrate every time they find a white criminal like it's New Years Even 2000. The left claimed that "decarceration" would have no negative effects on public safety, because social workers would make better law-enforcers -- or law-encouragers -- than cops. It is therefore necessary for the left to fake crime stats to keep their "decarceration" agenda alive and, of course, to avoid any political fall-out from its failure. I have a big question: The people faking these stats are faking official government reports. When DC fraudulently reports fake stats, they are defrauding the federal government that demands these statistics be accurately compiled. Why are we not prosecuting these people for felonies? And flipping them to turn on their superiors, who almost certainly ordered the fraud? Was it the DC mayor who ordered the fraud? Or was it... Biden and his operatives, and his DOJ and FBI? We have to know. This didn't just happen. From Twitchy, illegal criminal leaker and China-compromised espionage agent Eric Swallowall inserts himself:
Conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings was the only individual on either network to mention that a police commander was suspended for allegedly falsifying those statistics.
Across both networks, January 6, 2021 was brought up 31 times. In Mid-may, D.C. police commander Michael Pulliam was put on administrative leave after the police union accused his department of intentionally manipulating crime data. As Paul Wagner at NBC News Washington explained: "The union claims police supervisors in the department manipulate crime data to make it appear violent crime has fallen considerably compared to last year." But since Monday, CNN and MSNBC have continuously cited those contaminated data, in response to President Trump announced that the federal government would be assuming control of policing in the District. MRC analysts examined the first 24 hours of regular weekday coverage on CNN and MSNBC after Trump's Monday announcement, from 11:00 a.m. on August 11 to 10:59 a.m. on August 12. Analysts identified 73 instances in which anchors, guests, and reporters cited the manipulated crime statistics for which Pulliam was suspended. MSNBC was responsible for 44 such instances, while CNN aired the remaining 29. The only individual on either network who acknowledged the dubious origin of the data was conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings, during a panel discussion in the 10:00 p.m. hour on August 11. But while Pulliam's alleged malfeasance was nearly entirely absent from the coverage, talking heads were eager to mention another topic in their discussion of crime in Washington: January 6. TV journalists managed to bring up the unrest at the U.S. Capitol four years ago a whopping 31 times (17 on MSNBC, 14 on CNN).

Twitchy points out the huge 180:
Dems: Crime in DC is really rare these days and federal intervention is unnecessary. Literally 2 hours later: All this crime in DC is now Trump's fault!Former Bernie Sanders and then Kamala Harris aid Symone Sanders insists there's no crime problem in DC and people claiming there is a problem are just racist against black people. She also insists that, "as a black woman," police don't make her safer, but more endangered. Sure.

They confiscated a lot of illegal guns, which, supposedly, the Democrat Cult supports.
But of course they don't support this. They don't want criminals stripped of guns, they want law-abiding citizens -- Republicans -- stripped of guns. One white liberal "man" threw a sandwich at a federal officer as a Mostly Peaceful Protest gesture. He's now been arrested and will be prosecuted for assault on a federal officer.
Since August 7, law enforcement officials in Washington, DC have arrested over 100 people. This comes as President Donald Trump has taken action to crack down on crime in the nation's capital. As of Wednesday morning, law enforcement officials have arrested 103 people, 43 of whom were arrested on Tuesday, a White House official told Fox News. In the early hours of August 7, some federal law enforcement began to be deployed to Washington, DC, including from the FBI, DEA, and Homeland Security Investigations. ... Tuesday saw 1,450 law enforcement officials sweeping the streets of DC, including 30 National Guard troops and 750 uniformed DC police officers. Of those arrests made on Tuesday, 33 were for firearm offenses, 10 were related to warrants, 23 were of illegal immigrants, one was for a suspected homicide, and seven were for narcotics charges. A total of 24 firearms were recovered.
A man who used a Subway sandwich as a weapon to attack a federal officer deployed by President Trump on the streets of DC earlier this week has been charged with felony assault. The criminal case against suspect Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was announced Wednesday by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who said in a statement that "the police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up."
Dunn was allegedly captured on video Sunday night shouting that a group of federal officers were "fascists" before whipping his deli sandwich at them and striking a US Customs and Border Protection agent in the chest.
"He thought it was funny. Well he doesn't think it's funny today because we charged him with a felony: Assault on a police officer," Pirro said in a video posted to X. "So there, stick your Subway sandwich somewhere else!"

"Fake and gay" describes the performative left so well. Everything they do is fake, and everything they do is trivial, but they claim it's monumental. In a word: gay.
So their plan is this: They will return to the Texas capital after the current special legislative session ends. The session ending is no big deal, because Governor Abbott will immediately call a new special session and they'll vote on the redistricting map then. But the Democrats say: If we don't come back until you've dismissed the current special session, we can say that we kept our promise to our fellow lunatic communists, that we would not return until you agreed to end the special session. See? Fake and gay. Fake and gay, fake and gay, fake and gay. They want to pretend this is a victory. With Texas expected to end its first special legislative session Friday and immediately begin a new one, the dozens of Democratic legislators who fled the state to block Republicans' redistricting proposal are hammering out a plan for their return home. Texas Democrats met late into the night Tuesday then again Wednesday, including breaking into smaller groups, to discuss their next steps and what their ultimate exit strategy looked like after spending the last 10 days out of the state, according to four sources close to the talks. But those sources said the lawmakers do not yet have full consensus on an exit plan. "It's hard to get folks on the same page," said one of the sources, who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about internal party strategy. Still, there does appear to be agreement on one point: The Democrats won't come back to Austin until Republicans officially bring the first special session to a close. They're beginning to describe their ability to block Republicans from passing their new map that could net the party as many as five seats in the U.S. House during the first special session as proof of victory.Fake and gay fake and gay fake and gay.
... Wu said they would not finalize their next steps until there was "consensus among our membership." But he noted Democrats have other avenues to push back against the GOP's redistricting effort in the courts, through the legislative process and with other states, like California, countering with new congressional maps.Fake. But also: Gay.
We can throw all kinds of artificial disco dance moves at this. Fake and gay dance moves.
"We can fight this fight for as long as we can do it. But we have other strategies, other methods of fighting it," Wu said. "It does not have to be just a quorum break, it does not have to be just one thing or the other. We can throw everything at this."
Republican leaders in Texas have promised to call "special session after special session," and they need just a handful of Democrats to relent in order to achieve a quorum so they can move forward with their redistricting plan. In a sign of Democrats' limited options, the GOP-led state Senate was still able to pass the plan this week because Senate Democrats couldn't get their entire 11-member delegation to break quorum. So while it appears likely that Democrats will succeed in delaying the process enough to force a second special session, there is an acknowledgement among the caucus that their protest will need to come to an end some point soon. "From the get-go, they knew they were never going to stay out of Texas forever. People didn't expect them to. The goal that the smartest among them set was: We need to bring national attention to this issue so other states are ready to counter if Republicans really do this," one aide to a Texas House Democrat breaking quorum told NBC News.Ah. "It was all worth it if we made a lot of noise before failing." Telegram! This here message from Western Union says right here that you are "Fake." Wait, there's more. It also says you're gay.

Tulsi Gabbard released this letter.
Former Director of National Intelligence James "Jim" Clapper's letter demands everyone get on the same page in claiming that the Russia Hoax is real in order to give the hoax the veneer of official authority. It is written to John Brennan, Jim Comey, and Mike Rogers, then head of the NSA. The reason for the letter? Mike Rogers wrote that he was uncomfortable rushing to conclusions on such feeble evidence -- and on such a rushed schedule. Because, you see, they cooked this coup up after the December 16, 2016 meeting with Obama, in which Obama ordered them to fast-track the ObamaGate hoax before he was out of office.Fox News wrote the story up:
So Rogers wasn't willing to rush headlong into accusing the president elect of being a Russian agent. James Clapper couldn't have that. The artificial deadline was fast approaching. Either this coup would get kicked off with Obama still in office and protecting them, or the coup wouldn't get kicked off at all.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper allegedly directed officials to "compromise" "normal" procedures to rush a politicized 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment -- despite concerns from then-Director of the National Security Agency Mike Rogers, who allegedly said his team did not have "enough time" to review the intelligence to be "absolutely confident" that Russia was involved in the 2016 election. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified emails Wednesday. Fox News Digital obtained the declassified records. ...
"I've just returned from a TDY overseas and been updated on the current status of our efforts to produce a joint product related to Russian attribution and intent for the DNC/DCCC hacks," Rogers allegedly wrote in the email. "I know that this activity is on a fast-track and that folks have been working very hard to put together a product that can be provided to the president." "However, I wanted to reach out to you directly to let you know of some concerns I have with what I am hearing from my folks," the email continued. "Specifically, I asked my team if they'd had sufficient access to the underlying intelligence and sufficient time to review that intelligence."
"On both points my team raised concerns," Rogers reportedly wrote. "They were clear that, at the staff level, folks have been forward-leaning and trying to ensure that we have an opportunity to review and weigh in, but I'm concerned that, given the expedited nature of this activity, my folks aren't fully comfortable saying that they have had enough time to review all of the intelligence to be absolutely confident in their assessments."

Mike John Jim: I understand your concern. This is in reply to Mike Rogers expressing his concerns that they have abandoned most of the procedures necessary to assemble an Intelligence Community Assessment, in their mad rush to get this published before Obama left office. Clapper really wanted to fake a paper trail for that special prosecutor he admits he was trying to will into existence, and he's bothered that Mike Rogers is insisting on professional standards of evidence and analysis.
It is essential that we (CIA/NSA/FBI/ODNI) be on the same page, and are all supportive of the report -- in the highest tradition of "that's OUR story, and we're stickin' to it."Yes, he really says that. He talks like a criminal plotting a conspiracy -- which he is in fact doing. This makes it clear that all along, there was no evidence supporting the "IC consensus." There was only the "IC Consensus," and it was assembled precisely because there was no evidence to support it.
This evening, the CIA has provided the NIC (?) the complete draft generated by the ad hoc fusion cell.I think a "fusion cell" is a group of intelligence hacks assembled to take down an enemy. The "ad hoc" means, I'm pretty sure, that this was done outside of all procedural rules to get it done ASAP. Remember, this letter was written on December 22, 2016 -- they only had a couple of weeks with Obama in office to set up the frame. That explains the breathless, panicky urgency. Note, below, Clapper says he will attempt "as much mutual transparency as possible." He says this because Rogers objected that he hadn't made his evidence known to the NSA, so they couldn't evaluate it. Clapper is saying: You're being told all that I'm willing to tell you and no you can't have my sources because, Surprise, it's Hillary Fucking Clinton's opposition researcher.
We will facilitate as much mutual transparency as possible as we complete the report...Note the report isn't even finished yet but Clapper is demanding that everyone sign off on it before its completion. Clapper also stresses that this absolutely must be signed off on before You Know Who becomes president. Emphasis added:
...but more time is non-negotiable.Because this isn't an intelligence assessment, it's a coup against the elected president of the United States who will take office in 18 days. And this is the most criminal line: Clapper says we have to "compromise on our 'normal' modalities" -- that is, we have to discard all of our existing methods and standards and safeguards for intelligence collection and assessment -- because we have only 18 days left to set the coup in motion, and, let's face it, we have no evidence that will stand up to any scrutiny at all. By the way, "modalities" is just corpo-government speak for "ways" or "methods."
We may have to compromise on our "normal" modalities, since we must do this on such a compressed schedule.Incredible. Here's where Clapper brow-beats Mike Rogers, telling him there is no "I" in "Intelligence."
This is one project that must be a team sport. JimClapper's neck is in need of the stretch of a rope. This is treason. This is a coup.
Below, the emails together. You can see Rogers protesting that "my people" say there's not enough here to even evaluate, and they're uncomfortable "compromising our our 'normal' modalities" of preparing an "ad hoc fusion cell report," as James Clapper would say.

The Raphael Cartoons are a set of seven full-scale designs for tapestry painted by Raphael (1483 – 1520), and are considered one of the greatest treasures of the Renaissance. They were commissioned in 1515 by Pope Leo X for the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel and depict the lives of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

President Donald Trump said it is a “waste of time” to work with Democrats on Capitol Hill and that the Democrat Party is “led by insane people,” while speaking with reporters on Wednesday. Trump blasted Democrat lawmakers when a reporter asked if he intends to meet with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) to discuss the government funding deadline. “Well, I will, I guess, but it’s almost a waste of time to meet because they never approve anything,” Trump said. “If we want money to fight crime, if we want money to do–only good things, just good things, let’s not even talk about controversial–they don’t want to meet about anything.”In purely tactical terms, Trump rightly perceives that he has the Democrats over a barrel on a broad range of issues, as a wide spectrum of polls of late indicates that that accursed party's approval and favorability ratings cratering to record low levels. So I imagine he's attempting to get them to cry uncle. And given everything going on, with the ascendancy of open bust-out insane Maoism in the Democrat Party, the base and leadership must try to appeal to or otherwise appease the Better A-Holes of their nature. Assuming of course the base can deprogram themselves long enough from their Trump derangement to salvage whatever vestige of a fig leaf of reasonableness that yet exists with the public at large lest they face a wipeout next year and in the '28 election, their historic go-to insurance policy of election thievery notwithstanding. But Psaki-psircling back to this notion of being insane, I would argue that it's less insanity than it is being amoral and evil. To have such a generational lust for power and the hubris to anoint yourself as elite and superior to those who oppose you, is not purely a question of sanity. I'll leave it to the psychologists amongst us to argue about that. Then again . . .
What do you get when you marry victimhood and narcissistic self-worship? Today’s woke ideologue journalist. For it is left-wing journalists resting upon their precarious perch in corporate legacy media who, despite (admittedly declining) wealth and influence, believe they are actually victims worthy of America’s sympathy and support. They are the oppressed, beleaguered heroes keeping the fires of truth burning in these dark days of reinvigorated conservative cultural and political dominance, waging a fearless battle against patriarchy and racism. They also happen to have sufficient wealth and free time to indulge in some of the priciest and most self-absorbed activities that define our digital age. One need look no further than a recent column by The Washington Post’s Karen Attiah to observe the paradox. Attiah presents the perfect example of how the contemporary obsession with victimhood and self-absorption are actually one and the same thing. Her op-ed begins by talking about how much she hated being skinny. As a teenager, she claims she was subject to stereotypes about “underfed Africans.” She yearned to be strong so she could be “a threat to the gender system.” Perhaps it’s not all that surprising that narratives of both alleged victimhood and narcissism go together. If you believe you are a victim, even when things are going well for you, in the wealthiest and most successful country in the world, then you are obviously spending too much time thinking about yourself. The person who interprets everything through a lens of victimhood is already focused on the self and thus more prone to self-celebratory thoughts and behaviors. The more such people cycle down the drain of this narcissism, the more impervious they are to reality, lacking the self-awareness to see themselves for what they often actually are: entitled. The media and academia especially have been concocting the witch's brew of victimhood to create a whole class of oppressed groups that can be united under the flag of Democrat Leftism as an army of freedom fighters ready to break the chains of an evil white supreamcist Judeo-Christian America and create paradise on earth. This poison has destroyed the lives of millions of people and is on the verge of tearing this country and our society apart. Case in point is this latest horrific example from the Democrat controlled paradise on earth of Cincinnati Ohio. A city ironically that derives its name from an ancient Roman dictator who was long admired for relinquishing his power and privileges to return to his life as a farmer. Okay, stop laughing.
Multiple black community leaders, one of them a pastor with a previous felony conviction, called for the arrest of an alleged victim of the Cincinnati beatdown Monday. This follows a video appearing to show the victim slapping another man before the brawl allegedly ensues.Terrific, Emmit Till has become Emmett Kelly, but no one's laughing. Let us assume for a second that someone called someone a name. Even the unmentionable "N-word" that for anyone other than black to dare utter is a crime against humanity. Does that give said melanin-possessor and his/her compatriots the right to nearly stomp into unconsciousness and death a complete stranger because she's white? The answer of course, if you are a devotee of mirror universe Mein Kampf or Ibram X. Krement's "Jive Kampf" is Jawoll which in barbara Billingsley's Jive pocket dictionary is hell yes! Meanwhile, in another part of the jungle . . .
An anti-Trump agitator is accused of shooting a wheelchair-bound man in the chest in Seattle, Washington, over an allegation of “stolen valor.” Gregory William Timm, 32, claimed the victim was pretending to be a veteran and confronted the 68-year-old wheelchair bound man on the busy Alaskan Way boardwalk on July 31.Prosecutors allege Timm proceeded to rip a military patch off the victim, resulting in the victim producing a knife and an airsoft gun to defend himself. Subsequently, stepping back several feet, Timm pulled out a handgun and fired a shot into the victim’s chest while demanding to see his ID. The 68-year-old man, who survived the gunshot, says he was reaching to retrieve his military ID when Timm fired on him. Local media reports indicate he is indeed a veteran. The wind has indeed been sown. It's going to be a hell of a whirlwind when, or even if it gets reaped. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day!

The Justice Department has struck a deal compelling West Point and Air Force Academy to stop racial discrimination against whites.
Weird, you'd think that institutions charged with training the officers who will defend the Constitution from all foes foreign and domestic would'd've already been defending the Constitution, but no, it took a lawsuit.AOL Dial-Up will shut down in September. I would say it's the "end of an era" but of course no one even knew AOL Dial-Up was still available. So the era ended around, what, 2010?
The US Department of Justice has announced a settlement with Students for Fair Admissions Inc. (SFFA), ending race-based admissions practices at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Air Force Academy. The agreement resolves two lawsuits brought by SFFA, which alleged the policies violated the Fifth Amendment, and results in the dismissal of both cases. Attorney General Pamela Bondi praised the resolution as part of a broader effort to remove diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices from federal institutions. "This Department is committed to eliminating DEI practices throughout the federal government," Bondi said. "We are proud to partner with the Department of Defense to permanently end race-based admissions at West Point and the Air Force Academy - admission to these prestigious military institutions should be based exclusively on merit." ... The settlement avoids the need for prolonged litigation and establishes agreed-upon terms to ensure that admission to these service academies will be determined solely by merit, not race or ethnicity. It follows a similar agreement reached earlier this year in the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit regarding the US Naval Academy's former race-conscious admissions policies.

Once again, the left is compelling taxpayers to hand over their money to the left so the left can use taxpayer funds for political operations against the taxpayer. In Washington DC, peaceful protesters are organically assembling in support of uncontrolled crime and being hunted on the streets by packs of feral "youths," who know they are immune to prosecution. Just kiddin', the Rent-A-Mob company that provides bodies for these fake protests has increased their job listings for paid agitation by 400%.
APTS [the Association of "Public" Television Stations] received $25,000 from CPB in 2022, and it charges public television stations a membership service fee. For an added fee, members can buy access to a grant-seeking database. In 2023 APTS earned $3.8 million in "program service revenue," which includes fees from public TV stations, and spent most of it on employee compensation ($3.3 million). The path of money -- from taxpayers to the federal government to CPB to public television stations to APTS, (or direct from CPB to APTS) -- shows that ultimately taxpayers fund APTS, which appears to be primarily a fat salary and lobbying machine. That would be like a parent (Congress) giving his kid (CPB) an allowance and the kid pocketing some of the money (salaries), giving the rest to some other kids (public television stations) who each pocket some of the money (salaries and operations) and pass along the rest to another kid (APTS) who pockets most of the money (salaries) and comes back to the parent (Congress) to ask for more money.
A prominent crowd rental company is reporting a dramatic spike in inquiries for protesters in Washington, DC, following President Donald Trump's announcement that he will federalize the capital's police force. Adam Swart, CEO of Crowds on Demand, told Fox News that requests for services in DC from May to July 2024 jumped roughly 400 percent compared to the same period last year. The company, which supplies participants for political rallies, protests, and advocacy events, says such surges typically occur during "high-stakes political moments."Why do we allow this? This is not "political speech," it's paid commercial advertising. And commercials can be regulated -- I'm thinking, they should be forced to disclose their presence at every "protest." An antifa terrorist let free with the lightest slap on the wrist has gone on to live a peaceful and productive life. Just joshin' wit ya, he fired a .45 caliber pistol round into the chest of a wheelchair-bound veteran.
Gregory William Timm, now 32, first gained notoriety in 2020 when he plowed his vehicle into a Republican voter registration tent in Jacksonville, Florida. No one was injured, but the attack rattled volunteers and drew a sharp rebuke from then-President Donald Trump, who warned on social media: "Be careful tough guys who you play with!" Timm was convicted of criminal mischief in that case, later telling the court he felt it was his "duty" to take action against the Trump administration. Now, prosecutors in King County, Washington, say Timm is behind a July 31 shooting that left Harold James Powell, an elderly man in a wheelchair wearing a military patch, hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to charging documents obtained by The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Timm confronted Powell outside a Starbucks on Alaskan Way, accusing him of "stolen valor" and demanding proof of his veteran status. Witnesses told police that Powell, seated in a wheelchair and wearing a military patch, had been asking passersby for money. Timm allegedly ripped a military patch from Powell's belongings, prompting Powell to produce a knife and later a holstered airsoft gun that the court filing says Powell never removed from its holster. Prosecutors allege that Timm then drew a .45 caliber handgun, took several steps back, and shot Powell in the chest at point-blank range. "This was a completely unnecessary act of violence committed by the defendant to a vulnerable victim who was confined to his wheelchair," Senior Deputy Prosecutor Elaine S. Lee wrote in the bail request.

Five years ago, Raymond Teachey voted, as usual, for the Democratic presidential nominee. But by last fall, Mr. Teachey, an aircraft mechanic from Bucks County, Pa., was rethinking his political allegiances. To him, the Democratic Party seemed increasingly focused on issues of identity at the expense of more tangible day-to-day concerns, such as public safety or the economy. "Some of them turned their back on their base," Mr. Teachey, 54, said. ... Now, Democrats hope to bring these voters back into the fold for the midterm elections in 2026, betting on a backlash to Mr. Trump and his party's far-reaching moves to slash the social safety net."Slash the social safety net" = "require able-bodied adults to at least pretend to look for work to qualify for Medicaid" + "kick illegal aliens off of social services set up for Americans"
Sounds kind of Racist, White African-American.
But in interviews with nearly 30 predominantly working-class voters who supported Mr. Biden in 2020 before defecting or struggling deeply with their choices last year, many had a stinging message for the Democratic Party. Just because we have misgivings about Mr. Trump, they say, it doesn't mean we like you. "I think I'm done with the Democrats," said Desmond Smith, 24, a deli worker from Smithdale, Miss., and a Black man who said he backed Mr. Biden in 2020 at the height of the racial justice protests. But last year, disillusioned by what he saw as the party's overemphasis on identity politics and concerned about illegal immigration, he voted for Mr. Trump. Asked how Democrats could win him back, he said, "Fight for Americans instead of fighting for everybody else."
What? Meanwhile, New Jersey voters are seeing their electricity bills triple due to the state's "global warming" mitigation laws, which may make the state ripe for a takeover. Remember, Trump lost NJ by less than five points.
An in-depth post-election study from Pew Research Center suggests that about 5 percent of Mr. Biden's voters in 2020 switched to Mr. Trump in 2024, while roughly 15 percent of those voters stayed home last year. Mr. Trump retained more of his 2020 voters than Democrats did, a crucial factor in winning the election.
... "They're doing nothing to move their own numbers because they don't have an economic message," said John Anzalone, a veteran Democratic pollster who worked on that survey. "They think that this is about Trump's numbers getting worse," he added. "They need to worry about their numbers." Here are five takeaways from those conversations. Biden's disastrous re-election bid fueled a trust issue. It hasn't gone away.
Kyle Bielski, 35, an executive chef at a private club, said he had typically voted for Democrats until last year's presidential election, when he backed Mr. Trump. Democratic leaders had insisted that the plainly frail Mr. Biden was vigorous enough to run, and they had encouraged skeptical voters to fall in line. Instantly after he dropped out, they urged Democrats to unite behind the candidacy of Kamala Harris, who was then the vice president. "It almost seemed wrong," continued Mr. Bielski, who lives in Phoenix. "It was kind of like, OK, the same people that were just running the country are now telling us that this is the person that we should vote for." ... Worried about paying the bills, they saw Democrats as too focused on cultural issues. Many in this multiracial group of voters said they thought Democrats had gone too far in promoting transgender rights or in emphasizing matters of racial identity. But often, they were more bothered by their perception that those discussions had come at the expense of addressing economic anxieties. "It seemed like they were more concerned with D.E.I. and L.G.B.T.Q. issues and really just things that didn't pertain to me or concern me at all," said Kendall Wood, 32, a truck driver from Henrico County, Va. He said he voted for Mr. Trump last year after backing Mr. Biden in 2020. "They weren't concerned with, really, kitchen-table issues." ...
They worry about illegal immigration. But some think Trump's crackdowns are going too far. Sarah Smarty, a home health aide and an author from McClure, Pa., said she voted for Mr. Biden in 2020 and Mr. Trump in 2024.Credit...Hannah Yoon for The New York Times These voters often said they agreed with Mr. Trump on the need to stem the flow of illegal immigration and strengthen border security. But some worried about the administration's crackdown, which has resulted in sweeping raids, children being separated from their parents, the deportation of American citizens and a growing sense of fear in immigrant communities.
When my friend Rebecca in Highland Park, NJ, opened her PSE&G gas and electric bill last month, she almost fell out of her seat: It had tripled. It's now costing her more than $1,000 a month to keep her modest home running. "It's been creeping up for months, in spite of the fact that nothing about our house has changed," she told me. "In years past, it was averaging about $300 a month." "I don't know how we're expected to absorb these new bills," she posted on Facebook. Her neighbor Felix Urman wondered the same as he ticked off his household costs for me. "Property taxes are up 6.3%," he said -- on top of what had already been the nation's highest. "Car insurance up 15%. Home insurance up 17%. Health insurance up 19%. "I don't know how non-dermatologists are living in New Jersey," he concluded. That question -- how are we expected to live here? -- is why the solidly blue Garden State is rapidly turning purple. Affordability and taxes, at 54% and 43% respectively, have become the defining issues in New Jersey's tightening governor's race. The latest survey, released this week, showed Democratic Party nominee Mikie Sherrill leading Republican Jack Ciattarelli by just 6 percentage points. Those who ranked affordability as their primary issue were split over which candidate is better equipped to handle it: 36% of them named Sherrill, while 34% chose Ciattarelli. But on taxes, Ciattarelli holds a commanding lead. When asked which candidate would do a better job lowering them, 50% picked the Republican, compared to just 15% who went for the Democrat.California trended twelve points more Republican between 2020 and 2024.
California has historically been a heavily Democratic state, selecting a Democrat in every presidential election since 1992. But recent polls have indicated the tide could be turning on the Democrats in the Golden State. It comes after the state shifted toward the GOP by 12 points in 2024 compared to 2020, with Donald Trump increasing his vote share in nearly every county in the state. The Republicans also flipped three seats in the state Legislature last year. If the Democratic Party loses ground in California, it could reshape the state's leadership as early as 2026, when the next governor will be elected and most of California's state Legislature will be up for election.A pollster -- I think -- named Karen George discussed the "red blooms" growing in California. Working class voters and Hispanics are abandoning the Democrat Cult:

The Cowardly Toronto Film Festival Rejects a Documentary Using This Video
So much. Cultural. Enrichment.
Hen Mazzig
@HenMazzig BREAKING: The Toronto International Film Festival has pulled an October 7 documentary over alleged "Hamas copyright" claims. TIFF removed The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue, which tells the story of Noam Tibon, who saved his two granddaughters while surrounded by Hamas terrorists at the Nova music festival. The festival claimed the film used Nir Oz massacre footage "owned" by Hamas and that the filmmakers lacked "legal clearance" to use images Hamas itself posted on October 7. The real reason, however, may not have been legal risk at all, but rather a desire to avoid "Free Palestine" protests. By granting Hamas legal legitimacy and silencing the truth of October 7, TIFF chose cowardice. Despicable.
TamariDavid Strom notes that even Canada still proclaims Hamas to be a terror organization, so Hamas' access to Canadian courts to vindicate its copyright on rape and murder would be limited. So that's not the real reason. The real reason is that they're afraid of being blown up or machine-gunned, just as all the media refrained from posting cartoons of Mohammad after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. (And the often-forgotten Hyper Market massacre of Jews that took place at the same time.) Is our culture enriching? At Real Clear World, J.T. Young writes of the never-ending terrorism of Hamas.
@tammydiamonds The Toronto International Film Festival @TIFF_NET is blocking a film about October 7 "The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue" because it includes footage Hamas filmed themselves, proudly livestreaming their own massacre. The festival demanded the filmmakers get "legal clearance" from Hamas for that footage before it could be shown. Yes, you read that right: footage of their own atrocities can’t be shown unless the terrorists give permission. This is how far gone the West is protecting the "IP rights" of mass murderers while silencing the truth of their crimes and their victims.
Hamas' Terror Has Expanded
While it seems impossible for Hamas' terror to worsen, it has. Having unleashed a genocidal terrorist attack on Israel two years ago, and still holding Israeli hostages, Hamas is now doing the same to Gaza. For Hamas, death has gone from being its perverted means to being its only end. Yet grotesque as Hamas' terror has become, civilized nations are pushing to implicitly validate it. On October 7, 2023, Hamas perpetrated an unquestionably genocidal attack on Israel, killing every Jew--man, woman, or child--it could; it committed atrocities; it took hostages; approaching two years later, it still holds those hostages. Israel responded as would any nation whose citizens had been so attacked. In WWII, the Allies--such as Britain, France, and Canada--demanded nothing less than unconditional surrender and held trials for Axis war criminals. Israel is justified to demand nothing less from Hamas. Over the almost two years, Hamas has not slackened its zeal for killing Israelis; only its means for doing so have been diminished. It still embeds its terrorists among civilians; it still fires rockets indiscriminately into civilian populations--both Israel's (intentionally, as it has long done) and Gaza's (presumably unintentionally); when it releases hostages, it only does so on terms heavily favorable to it; it steadfastly refuses to release all the hostages it holds. For nearly two years, Hamas has shown an utter disregard for human life. Now, its terror has expanded to include the Gazan people on a mass scale. Not that Hamas has not already caused enough carnage in Gaza. Roughly 60,000 have died in the war that Hamas brought on Gaza; Hamas is also careful to never divulge how much of that number is due to its own rockets or embedding among the civilian populations. Hamas has deliberately killed and tortured Gazans who oppose its leadership. Dramatically higher Gazan casualties now loom. Starvation's specter stretches over Gaza as Hamas is accused of stealing aid to the civilian population to resell on the black market. Of course, Hamas could stop the threat of starvation at a moment's notice by simply releasing all remaining hostages and surrendering--something it could have done at any point over the last two years. That it would still refuse to do so, even with the threat of starvation looming in Gaza, is no surprise. Such disregard for human life has always been at the heart of Hamas' methods. Dating back to the second intifada, during which Hamas emerged, suicide bombings were a prominent element, the most deadly being Hamas' 2002 killing of 30 Israelis in Netanya. Following Hamas taking control of Gaza's government, it systematically purged its opponents and constructed tunnels throughout the territory, including under schools and hospitals. Into these, Hamas sent its terrorists and then hostages, knowingly guaranteeing civilian casualties when Israel struck back. Civilian deaths in Gaza was not a byproduct of Hamas' strategy of waging terrorist war on Israel; they were integral to it: a callous propaganda tool. Now starvation's threat takes Hamas' unconscionable strategy to another level of human destruction. It is clear to anyone objectively viewing the current situation: Hamas bears full responsibility for the carnage since October 7, 2023, not only in Israel but in Gaza too. Hamas also bears full responsibility for that now looming over the people it cynically declares to be its primary concern.

Well they didn't say "Democrat rioting" but is there any other kind?
Oh right, there was four hours of people milling about amiably in the Capitol. Just like Germany in 1953. Or whenever. I don't know history good.Reaction force more like Reactionary Farce am i rite
The Trump administration is reportedly weighing plans to create a "reaction force" of National Guard troops that would be deployed to cities across the country during times of civil unrest.
It's going to cost "hundreds of millions of dollars" to train people we're already paying to serve as a rapid response force? Sounds like liberal commie bullshit gobbedlygook to me.
According to the Washington Post, which reviewed internal documents from the Pentagon, the "Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force" would see 600 troops placed on standby at all times so that they could be deployed to areas across the country in as little as an hour. The troops would be split into two groups of 300 soldiers and would be stationed at bases in Arizona and Alabama. Cost projections included in the documents reportedly suggested that the proposal could cost upwards of hundreds of millions of dollars, if military aircraft and aircrews are also needed to be placed on standby. The documents noted, however, that transporting troops via commercial airlines would be cheaper. Fiscal year 2027, would be the earliest the program is created and funded, if approved.
The freak-outs will be incredible.
... Of the 300 troops stationed in one location, the first 100 would be outfitted with weapons and riot gear and be ready to move within an hour, while the next two waves of 100 each would be ready to move within two and 12 hours' notice, or all would be deployed at once.

I mentioned this as an update to a post last night but now it's confirmed.
Now that they have to pay for hotel and travel out of their own pockets, these Selfless Servants of Socialism have decided that all they really wanted to do was to "raise awareness about gerrymandering." Well you did. Now the entire country knows that Democrats have gerrymandered all the states they control to the absolute limit and it's time for Republicans to do likewise.
ABC13 has confirmed with multiple sources that House Democrats will return to Texas. Eyewitness News has not confirmed the date, but we do know that Democrats believe they've accomplished their mission by killing the first special session and by raising national awareness about the mid-decade redistricting effort. It is unclear which day they will be in Austin at the Capitol, but they stress that they will push for Hill Country flooding relief to be the priority. ... This comes as the House went another session without a quorum on Tuesday, with just 95 members present for the second day in a row. Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows said that assuming there is no quorum on Friday, the session will end, and a new one will begin. Hours later, the Senate actually passed a new map that benefits Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. It's the same map that passed out of committee in the House and precipitated more than 50 House Democrats to break quorum. Democrats in the Senate walked out in protest, but a quorum remained. Sources told ABC13 that Senate Democrats will not break quorum.
