Confirmed: Democrat Runaways to Return to Capital Now That Beto's Bribe Money Has Been Cut Off

I mentioned this as an update to a post last night but now it's confirmed.

Now that they have to pay for hotel and travel out of their own pockets, these Selfless Servants of Socialism have decided that all they really wanted to do was to "raise awareness about gerrymandering."

Well you did. Now the entire country knows that Democrats have gerrymandered all the states they control to the absolute limit and it's time for Republicans to do likewise.

ABC13 has confirmed with multiple sources that House Democrats will return to Texas.

Eyewitness News has not confirmed the date, but we do know that Democrats believe they've accomplished their mission by killing the first special session and by raising national awareness about the mid-decade redistricting effort.

It is unclear which day they will be in Austin at the Capitol, but they stress that they will push for Hill Country flooding relief to be the priority.

This comes as the House went another session without a quorum on Tuesday, with just 95 members present for the second day in a row. Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows said that assuming there is no quorum on Friday, the session will end, and a new one will begin.

Hours later, the Senate actually passed a new map that benefits Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. It's the same map that passed out of committee in the House and precipitated more than 50 House Democrats to break quorum.

Democrats in the Senate walked out in protest, but a quorum remained. Sources told ABC13 that Senate Democrats will not break quorum.

A man associated with a pro-Palestinian group suspected in a series of vandalism acts targeting "prominent public institutions" faced charges Monday after the Massachusetts State House in Boston was vandalized with paint last month.

Jermaiah Yusuf Sawaqed, 25, of Everett, was arrested Thursday and appeared in Boston Municipal Court.

Ah, Jeremaiah Yusuf Sawaged. Sounds like a White Hispanic.

On July 23, white paint was poured on the State House gate, and concrete columns were spray-painted. Video from the scene showed paint splattered on a concrete pillar and the State House steps. The suspect also appeared to attempt to write the words "Divest" or "Divert" on a concrete pillar.

So we're back to this just being about vandalism. Okay. No big deal.

A trooper observed "white paint footprints" believed to have been left by Sawaqed as he fled and two suspicious objects, which were believed to be homemade improvised explosive devices, according to a criminal complaint.

There are the homemade IEDs again.

Why is this not a national story?

Sawaqed is associated with a group known as the Direct Action Movement for Palestinian Liberation (DAMPL), which has taken credit for a number of acts of vandalism in Massachusetts, according to the complaint. The group is described as an extreme anti-Zionist organization.

Well as long as they say they're not antisemitic, just anti-Zionist, NBD.

Federal officials said they became aware of Sawaqed in May after he appeared in a video in urging followers to target government buildings and corporate logistics networks, officials said.

When he was taken into custody last week, officials searched a vehicle belonging to the suspect's mother that Sawaqed used and found traces of white paint and a device consistent with those discovered on the Boston Common. Several DAMPL fliers and two empty gasoline cans were also found.

You mean gasoline which you can use in fertilizer and fuel bomb?

"Sawaqed's actions have been deliberate, calculated and in furtherance of an ideology that advocates disruption through violence and criminal activity," the complaint states. "He has shown a clear disregard for public safety and government property and has demonstrated the capability and willingness to escalate these acts through his association with DAMPL."

His bail was set at $30,000 and he is due back in court next week.

$30,000. That means the actual bond he was required to post was... $3,000.

Sawaqed's mother, Naila Dahabrah, said her son is innocent and is being punished for his views on Gaza.

"He does not belong to any group. They have no evidence," she said.

She's a law-abiding citizen so I guess we have to take her claims seriously.

According to court documents, Dahabrah was arrested for assault and battery on a police officer after she spat in the face of a detective who was serving a search warrant last week.

Maybe not.

Just the News: James Comey Got His "Friend" Hired by the Government and Given a Top Secret Clearance So That Comey Could Leak to Him and Have Him Leak to Reporters

Actually, that much, I think, was already known. But it's hard to write a headline about the new stuff.

Comey's media mole told FBI he shaped Russia narrative, needed 'discount' to deny leaking intel

The FBI confirmed illegal intel leaks but rounded up no offenders. Declassified memos have unmasked Comey's secret media conduit, a law professor whom Comey put on the government payroll.

Let me explain the "discount:" he told federal investigators that he could not recall leaking top secret/SCI intelligence to reporters, but said he needed a "discount" for that assertion.

In other words, with one breath he denies that he's a traitor who illegally passed US top secret intelligence for partisan political purposes, and then, with the last of that same breath, says "Oh but actually I might have, so you can't prosecute me for perjury."

See? Try writing a headline for that.

The FBI concluded numerous legacy news media stories that crafted the false Russia collusion narrative contained illegally leaked classified intelligence but failed to definitively identify the leakers. But agents did force a stunning admission that ex-FBI Director James Comey used a special conduit to the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times in his bid to polish his image and push for a special prosecutor to take down President Donald Trump.

Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman admitted to agents in interviews he routinely communicated on behalf of Comey, his longtime friend, with Times reporter Michael Schmidt, whose work was among the newspaper's 2018 Pulitzer-winning stories on Russian election interference. The goal, Richman told the FBI, was "to correct stories critical of Comey, the FBI and to shape future press coverage" outside of the bureau's official press office, according to internal FBI memos that current Director Kash Patel delivered to Congress this week.

While Richman was known to have been publicly quoted in news stories as an advocate for Comey, he admitted to agents -- who were part of the FBI's Arctic Haze classified leaks inquiry -- that he was given access by Comey to what turned out to be highly classified information up to the SCI level and sometimes provided information to reporters on an anonymous basis.

SCI stands for sensitive compartmentalized information. This is called "codeword" intelligence, where there's a codeword that is itself top secret for the category of information, and only a small number of people are "read into" the list of people authorized to receive it.

In other words, this is real secret information, not stuff categorized generally as "secret" or "top secret" which is often stuff thousands of people know. Like, for example, an Army manual on repairing a Humvee might be "secret" even though thousands and thousands of soldiers have access to it.

But Top Secret/SCI is stuff that's actually highly secret and restricted to only a small circle of people.

Richman insisted he did not believe he had confirmed or provided classified intelligence to reporters but said he could not be 100 percent, the memos state, noting he could only make his leak denial "with a discount."

He leaked this information, he then denied he leaked it, but tossed in a "caveat: I might just have leaked it despite what I just swore to" as a defense in a future pejury case.

Which, fortunately for him, Biden never brought.

"Richman was pretty sure he did not confirm the Classified Information. However, Richman told the interviewing agents he was sure 'with a discount' that he did not tell Schmidt about the Classified Information," one FBI memo recounted.

I'm pretty sure I didn't commit the capital offense of Espionage but I can't be totally sure. Who remembers these things? It's like asking what I had for breakfast on June 2, 2012.

In the end, the Justice Department decided not to pursue any criminal charges against Comey or any of his lieutenants or now-Sen. Adam Schiff despite potential evidence of leaks, saying it could not be certain of who leaked what and when.

Deep State Convenience Status: Highly convenient.

But its interrogation of Richman and his admissions of significant contact with the Times' Schmidt provide the most detailed account to date of how Trump critics like Comey -- who was fired by the president -- used the media to craft narratives that ultimately turned out to be untrue or misleadingly overstated, the memos show.

Wednesday Morning Rant

Baffling

Based on reports yesterday, it looks like this chapter in the Texas "flee-bagger" saga is coming to an end. The Senate passed the gerrymander, the House session is going to expire, and Abbott will start a new one. And then another. And then another for as long as it takes and so on if needed. The Democrats fleeing will sock away whatever lucre they got and eventually, the gerrymander will probably pass. Maybe there will be an expulsion or arrest or prosecution, but I wouldn't bet on it.

But I think the most interesting side show happened last week. Abbott offered his assurances that the gerrymander will be completed, and added an escalation that proved popular:

You know, what I'm thinking now, is if they don't start showing up, I may start expanding it. We may make it six or seven or eight new seats we're going to be adding to the Republican side.

As the Democrat Left goes out of its for lack of a better word "mind" in reaction to President Trump calling out the National Guard to help remove the scum and criminals from Washington DC's streets, maybe they should deploy some troops to the USPS?

A California postal worker allegedly stole credit, debit cards and checks to fuel a lavish lifestyle that included luxurious tropical vacations and Rolex watches she flaunted on social media Mary Ann Magdamit, 31, a former letter carrier at the Torrance Main Post Office, admitted Monday to stealing mail containing checks, personal identifying information, and debit and credit cards from her job between 2022 and July 2025, according to the US Attorney’s Office. She would then activate the cards online and use them to make costly purchases. . . In December 2024, law enforcement seized 133 stolen credit and debit cards and 16 US Department of the Treasury checks from her apartment. Police also found an unserialized Glock clone pistol, known as a “ghost gun,” which had an extended 27-round magazine.

Despite the raid, the former postal worker remained free until July, when federal agents discovered she was still making purchases with victims’ stolen cards, according to the Justice Department.

You have to wonder, first of all, and in all likelihood this despicable piece of shit can't be a one-off of this kind of criminality. Now look back on all the untold millions if not billions of dollars that flowed from the treasury through the entire Federal Bureaucracy year after year, decade after decade and into the pockets of not mere sleazy crooks but from hardcore leftist apparatchiks and into the coffers of traitorous, dangerous anti-American leftist organizations that sowed the division and dissolution we have been suffering through in all that time.

Second, substitute the stacks of cash in the accompanying photos from the article, with stacks of ballots from the last several elections and presto change-o, Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants miraculously amasses 82 million votes in 2020! Remember, if a Genie gives you one wish, what's the one thing you should wish for? Easy, an infinite number of wishes! When Democrats can "win" election after election, that's what they get. And in 2016 and 2024, Trump swiped the bottle from the Democrats!

Democrats in the Texas state Senate walked off the floor Tuesday without preventing passage of new congressional districts in that body.

Democrats in the Texas House of Representatives fled to Democratic-controlled states like New York and Illinois in order to thwart a special session of the body to consider redistricting that could net Republicans multiple seats in the United States House of Representatives. The new congressional map passed by a 19-2 vote after nine Democratic state senators walked out, the Texas Tribune reported. (RELATED: Greg Abbott Tells Jake Tapper What Texas Is Prepared To Do If California ‘Tries To Gerrymander Five More Districts) . . The new map would place Democrat Reps. Henry Cuellar, Greg Cesar, Al Green and Julie Johnson into districts that President Donald Trump won by at least 10.4% in the 2024 presidential election, according to an interactive map on the Texas Tribune’s website. Republicans currently have 219 members of the House of Representatives, compared to 212 Democrats with four vacancies.

Too bad Jasmine Crockett, Frederica Wilson and Barbara Lee couldn't have been excised/exorcised along with the rest of that vile coven.

Then again, I guess we can expect more of this kind of mostly peaceful action:

Abdul has just been arrested for calling for an attack on a high school because a large number of Jewish students go to it.

My one quibble with the estimable Robert Spencer is that violence has not become mainstream on the left.

It Always Was mainstream. But yes, as President Trump and his team find ways to dismantle and discombobulate the Democrat Left's hold on power and their ability to obstruct the MAGA movement, and worse, draw more and more people away from the Democrat Left, Violence will be their only recourse. Well, they've been itching to seize absolute power for 200 years or more and with the toxic interbreeding of Communism and Islam birthing a demonic political Cerberus that is drooling rabies-laced nitric acid while baring its fangs at Civilization's jugular, and primed to strike.

Elsewhere, I admire Mike Huckabee's optimism that the Abraham Accords will spread and bring more of Israel's regional enemies to the table to bury the hatchet, and not in its head. The notion that Syria, which now has a bust-out Al Qaeda/ISIS freak as its president will be a party to any peace with Israel is frankly delusional.

During his historic Green River and Colorado River expedition in 1869, John Wesley Powell and crew named the area after witnessing the sun reflecting off the brilliant red hues of the sandstone cliffs towering above the Green River. Former President Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley Biden, has filed for divorce from her plastic surgeon husband, Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage, court records show.

Biden's Instagram Story on the same day featured a photo of her walking through a park and flashing a thumbs-up, and was set to the song "Freedom" by Beyoncé, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which first reported the divorce filings.

She also posted a quote that read: "New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won't look or sound like they did before."

Biden and Krein had tied the knot in Greenville, Delaware, back in June 2012 -- two years after being set up by her late older brother, Beau Biden.

He popped the question on a cliff in Big Sur, California, in late 2011 after getting "Pop's" permission, People reported at the time.

"This is the right guy," said Biden, who was vice president at the time. "And he's getting a helluva woman."

Joe Biden wanted to establish a political dynasty like the Kennedys.

He established no dynasty, and the Biden name will linger in infamy before it dies out.

Howard Stern "Stunned" by News That Sirius Wants Done With Him

Before getting to that, some facts about Howard Stern's show. According to Maureen Callahan:

1. He has a staff of 95. What?

2. Sirius pays him $120 million per year to produce the show. I assume the lion's share of that goes into Stern's pocket.

3. The usual morning host works 250 days per year. Five days a week, fifty weeks per year. Stern, on the other hand, works 112 days per year. Three days a week, Monday through Wednesday, and for only 37 weeks per year. Fifteen weeks off per year.

In addition, the days of four or five or even six hour shows are long, long gone. Apparently he now only does three hour shows.

4. Also, he no longer does the news. Which is fine, considering his cranky underbridge-troll wokeness. Apparently he's now picking up the guitar at age 71, which is fine -- I'm all for late in life learning -- but then he talks incessantly about his guitar lessons and has his guitar teacher on the air to talk about his Guitar Journey.

Wow. A bitter old hippie pervert talking about having trouble nailing the chords to "Smoke on the Water." Sounds like appointment viewing.

Callahan also discusses this leaked video. In 2013, Stern held a staff meeting in an auditorium called "Revolution 2013." It's so gay. Even then he realized his ratings and relevance were on the slide, because he spends the first 17 minutes demanding that his staff "blast" emails to publicists to let them know that Howard Stern still exists. Then he turns to demanding that the staff book guests who don't want to be on the show, claiming, absurdly, that Jerry Seinfeld and David Lettermen owe him big-time for making them stars, and so they are obligated to appear on the show again.

I always thought that Stern's constant claims to have "innovated" everything in talk radio was a put-on. Sure, I figured that there was some truth to him feeling insufficiently acknowledged as a media star, but I thought that 90% of his constant complaining that he's never recognized for, say, the "innovation" of long interviews with guests was mostly exaggerated for comedic effect.

This video shows that no, even when he's not doing a show and just berating his staff, he really believes he's owed huge credit for (checks notes) launching the careers of Jerry Seinfeld and David Letterman.

It also shows that his staff hates him, because who else would leak this except for an enemy?

I missed this Daily Mail article from last week. The reporters make it sound like Sirius is not engaging in aggressive bargaining with Stern just to reduce his demands for the new contract (the old one expires in Decemberbut really want to sever ties.

Howard Stern's 95-strong staff had only one goal in mind when they gathered for a 'team building' bash in Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon.

A few cocktails coupled with games of ping pong and serious laughs ahead of the 20th season of the show on SiriusXM on September 2.

Their 71-year-old boss was a world away from Midtown's Spin bar, instead chilling at the $21 million Southampton pile he has spent most of his time since Covid.

There's a reason Howard Hughes was never a great radio personality. If you just sit in your house all day wearing a face-diaper because you're still afraid of covid -- what do you even have to talk about?

By 5.30pm, the group had split; some going bar hopping in Hell's Kitchen while others taking dinner at Japanese restaurant, Benihana.

That's when the lifechanging the bombshell dropped: a news alert claimed Stern was on the verge of walking away from SiriusXM altogether because the station couldn't come close to meeting his financial demands for another contract.

'The mood changed quickly. No one knew this was coming... and we couldn't get any answers,' one stunned insider said.

Repeated calls to executive producer Gary Dell'Abate went unanswered.

What staff didn't know was the bombshell came as a shock to Stern himself, who received it via a Google Alert as he finished dinner after a walk on the beach.

His famous friends were quick to call, with Stern allegedly avoiding calls from Ali Wentworth [George Stephanopolous's wife] and Jimmy Fallon. He did, however, pick up the phone when longtime friend Jimmy Kimmel rang.

'First I'm hearing of it,' was all a reportedly stunned Stern could manage.

Multiple sources confirmed Stern decided to make an 'emergency show' on Wednesday morning to quell concerns he was finished.

But apparently that show was just an interview with Lars from Metallica. All Stern said about his show was that he would be back from his nth hiatus on September 2nd.

He claims he's ready to prove to the world he's still got it. And by "it" he means a spastic colon.

A source exclusively tells the Daily Mail that a 'pumped up' Stern is ready to 'prove people wrong again' and is confident he is still 'the best' at his craft as he considers a future outside of SiriusXM.

'He is in a bring-it-on mind frame right now. Howard likes what he likes and though he could be bitter on how things are going, it isn't anything new to him', the insider said.

'He also isn't blaming things on his age; the world has changed. He has changed himself. If he didn't, he would have been gone a long time ago.

'It is true, he doesn't like the uptick of podcasts, where everyone can be on the radio, he just thinks he is the best and there is a lot to learn from him rather than throwing him away.'

LOL. Sad! BTW, Stern is incredibly egotistical while also having an eggshell-fragile ego -- a bad combination, which you see a lot -- and has for years been slagging off podcasters for being more relevant than he is.

Now he's whining that the podcasters he attacks should "learn from him rather than throwing him away."

For now, Stern has plans to potentially join huge streamers HBO or Netflix - in a bid to bring his career to an end 'on his own terms.'

The source continued: 'All this unknown is music to Howard's ears. He thrives in this element of the unknown.'

Obviously. The 71-year-old who's too afraid to come out of his basement and complains that his Southampton neighbors don't wear face-nappies when they're at the beach is very thrilled by chaos and the unknown. He certainly sees his impending firing and discarding as an opportunity.

Absolutely I believe this.

'He needs to deal with a personal bad guy in the situation. In the past it was NBC, just watch his movie.

'Then it was Simon Cowell, look at the fallout of AGT and now the honeymoon might be over with Sirius after almost 20 years, but he still wants to figure something out to stay, especially for his team that would mostly be affected.

So they mean that Howard Stern can't really flourish without an Enemy he can direct all of his stinky spleen at. That's been true before, but... No one cares any more. No one is going to pay money to hear Stern complain that his bosses at Sirius gave Andy F***ing Cohen more attention and respect than they gave him.

'And now if the fallout continues with Sirius, he has made roads elsewhere to potentially do something with HBO or Netflix. It is not all bad if this goes bad. His story isn't done.

'Because he wants it to all end on his own terms. He believes he deserves that for all that he has done in the medium.'

I suppose it's possible they offer him some kind of a deal to do ten one-hour shows or something, like they gave Letterman.

But he's a very damaged brand with a limited audience and falling ratings. How much money does Stern think he'll be able to command at this point? What kind of audience does he think he still has?

DC Judge, Feeling the Heat and Anticipating the Federal Takeover, Refuses to Simply Release the Carjackers Who Attacked the Heroic DOGE Investigator "BigBalls"

A Washington, D.C., judge has ordered the two teens charged in the attack on a former Department of Government Efficiency staffer to remain in the city's juvenile detention center, rejecting requests for less restrictive detention.

The boy and girl, each 15, were charged in the Aug. 3 attack on Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old, as they were allegedly trying to carjack a vehicle in Northwest D.C. The attack was followed by President Trump announcing that he plans to take over the D.C. police and deploy the National Guard.

U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro said Monday that the city protects violent youths from consequences.

"They go to family court, and they get to do yoga and arts and crafts," Pirro said. "Enough. It changes today."

The media and Democrats -- pardon the redundancy -- are taking their typical approach to the horrors they have created: Denying those horrors exist at all.

I'm sitting here stunned -- and I'm the most cynical guy in the universe -- that the Democrats have decided to dig in on the position that it is bad for Trump to stop crime in Washington DC because stopping crime as fascism and Washington DC doesn't have a crime problem anyway.

It's like the Democrats convened a council of renowned idiots to come up with the stupidest possible position, the one that's going to alienate the most normal people, and then the Democrats dig to defend it.

Mostly Peaceful Update: The Washington Post reports a native saying that DC is a "safe city," though it does have some crime.

This person demands his name be withheld because of fears about his "personal safety" from the violent feral youth gangs of this safe city.

Wait what?

Update: A Democrat strategist says, "who cares if an incel got his face stomped in by some high-spirited youths?"

In one case, the vile media propagandists point to carjackings falling in 2024 as proof of improvement.

The problem is: They fell in 2024 after an absolute all-time high in 2023, and they are still far, far above the levels before the left decided that a drug-dealer's heart attack required nothing short of making Crime Legal for Black People.

Carjackings have skyrocketed in D.C.:

2018: 148
2023: 957

That's a 547% increase.

But sure, let's entertain the idea 2023 was an outlier and compare to 2024, which Democrats love to point to:

497 carjackings in 2024 is still TRIPLE the number seen in 2018.

The Democrats and Media -- again I redundize myself -- cite the DC Metropolitan Police's own numbers to claim that crime has declined.

Except for murder, which is at a historic high. But is murder really a violent crime? I mean, it ends one person's suffering. Isn't that sort of a mercy killing?

But the DC MPD has been caught repeatedly faking their crime stats. For example, a home invasion will be categorized for their public reports as a simple trespass.

This is a lie, of course. The reason they do this is so they can classify most of their home invasions as "trespasses" and most of their carjackings as thefts. They keep downgrading the seriousness of their crimes so that in a few key areas they can "the numbers are down."

But they've actually been caught faking the stats:

CNN's fake fact checker and dweeby Regime propagandist Daniel Dale roused himself to "fact check" the proposition that crime is high in DC. He claims it's not, citing the cooked statistics of the MPD.

In order to claim that crime in DC is "down," you have to ignore a) The former police commissioner who was suspended for fudging crime stats b) most people never get charged and are released onto the streets c) a lot of crime never gets reported d) the murder rate has doubled in the last decade and e) no one in their right mind would say it's safe to walk in southwest or anacostia at 11 pm.

They just can't stop lying. As you might know, DC is facing a lot of crime by underaged thugs. The thugs who beat up Big Balls and tried to carjack a woman's car were all 12-15, for example.

But DC has made it almost impossible to prosecute these Youths.

When MSNBC did their "fact" check, they "forgot" to include the juvenile offenders immunized from prosecution in their figures, as if a carjacking perpetrated by six violent young psychopaths doesn't "count" as crime.

Trump: JB Pritzker Is So Fat and Gross and Incompetent I May Take Over Chicago Too

I don't know if he can do this. It does put some pressure on the obese incompetent Pritzker to do something about runaway crime in Chicago (and throughout the blue areas of the state).

President Donald Trump says Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is incompetent, that he may send the National Guard into Chicago and will work to reverse the end of cash bail.

In announcing federal law enforcement actions in Washington D.C. on Monday, Trump said he may send the National Guard to keep the peace in places with heavy crime.

"And if we need to, we're going to do the same thing in Chicago, which is a disaster," Trump said. "We have a mayor there who's totally incompetent. He's an incompetent man. And we have an incompetent governor. That Pritzker's an incompetent. His family threw him out of the business, and he ran for governor."

Trump even went as far as adding to speculation that Pritzker is running for president in 2028.

"And now I understand he wants to be president, but I noticed he lost a little weight, so maybe he has a chance," Trump said. "You know, you never know what happens. But Pritzker is a gross, incompetent guy, thrown out of the family business."

Later in the day Monday, Pritzker said Trump has no right or legal ability to send troops into the city of Chicago.

"As to everything else that he had to say this morning, I guess I should say thank you for the compliment," Pritzker said at an unrelated event.

Pritzker said Trump is a cheater, a convicted felon and has declared bankruptcy several times. As to his political future, Pritzker said the only decisions he's made is to run for a third term as governor.

Trump also said he's got more he is taking aim at across the country concerning public safety, including ending no-cash bail.

"That's what started it in Chicago. I mean, bad politicians started and bad leadership started it. But that was the one thing that's central. No cash bail," Trump said. "Somebody murders somebody and they're out on no cash bail before the day is out. We're going to end that in Chicago. We're going to change the statute."

Illinois ended cash bail statewide in 2023, being the first state to do so.

The Network for Pretrial Justice said in a statement Monday that Trump's policies hurt poor people and people of color, and that dangerous people are not flooding the streets. They argue violent crime has decreased since the start of no-cash bail.

Trump wants to end the post-George-Floyd practice of letting out psychotic savages on no bail (or almost no bail), nationally.

President Trump pledged Monday to push federal legislation banning no-cash-bail policies nationwide, calling them a "disaster" that fuels crime. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said she will author the bill, vowing to dismantle New York's bail reform laws and restore "law and order that puts America first."

Key Details:

Speaking at a White House press conference where he also announced temporary federal control of Washington, D.C.'s police department, Trump blasted no-cash-bail policies in New York, Chicago, and other Democrat-led cities. "Somebody murders somebody and they're out on no cash bail before the day is out," he said.

Stefanik told the New York Post she would lead the legislative push to end Gov. Kathy Hochul's bail reform, calling it a "radical, dangerous and insane" policy that favors "criminals and illegals" over law-abiding citizens.

DC U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro backed Trump's proposal but urged further changes to local laws, criticizing the city's Youth Rehabilitation Act after a 19-year-old convicted of a bus shooting received probation instead of prison time.

I don't think Republicans will go along with a federalization of state bail laws, even if they agree that blue states should change their laws. Republicans have moved closer to Trump's blending of strong presidential and strong federal rule with a conservative agenda, but I'm pretty sure they will absolutely balk at federalizing bail.

Still, it's not bad to use the bully pulpit to make demands and criticize a policy that is literally killing people. (And raping people. And pushing people in front of speeding subways.)

Meanwhile, the woke racist incompetent geek Brandon Johnston has Chicago on the edge of bankruptcy.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson sounded the alarm Tuesday about Chicago's finances.

"We have reached a point of no return," Mayor Johnson said Tuesday. "The systems that people rely upon -- education, health care, housing, our transportation -- they are woefully underfunded, and everyone knows that. Everyone knows what, you know, my commitment is to progressive revenue. I can't do this by myself."

LOL. Like this nasty Black KKK twerp is doing anything constructive.

Johnson said the state needs new progressive revenue options, but he did not name any specific plans.

The city of Chicago has a massive $1.1 billion budget gap to fill for 2026. Mayor Johnson promising has promised not to once again pitch a property tax hike -- which the City Council unanimously rejected for 2025 -- but said last week he's looking at creative ways to raise tax dollars.

The menu on that table appears to target Chicago's ultra-rich. Johnson said he is looking for ways to extract more tax dollars from the 127,000 millionaires who now call Chicago home, as well as the 25 billionaires residing inside the city limits.

Inflation Comes In Lower Than "Experts Expected" as Food Inflation Comes at 0.0% But Media Celebrates the Small Increase

Inflation ticks higher as Trump's tariffs kick in

"Bad prediction": The president derided economists' forecasts for higher inflation.

Consumer prices edged higher in July as President Donald Trump's tariffs began to push up the cost of everyday household goods.

The consumer price index climbed at an annual rate of 2.7 percent, slightly lower than expected, thanks to sharp declines in gasoline and energy prices, the Labor Department reported Tuesday. But so-called core inflation -- which excludes volatile food and energy costs -- rose above 3 percent for the first time in six months as more businesses began to pass along the cost of the administration's tariffs to American consumers.

With the administration touting the nearly $130 billion collected from new import levies -- and with new, heavy-duty taxes on goods from dozens of trading partners now in effect -- there is a broad expectation that more companies will saddle consumers with the additional costs in the coming months.

That could complicate the Federal Reserve's path to lowering interest rates as the central bank also reckons with growing signs of trouble in the labor market. While investors widely assume that policymakers will lower rates at their September meeting, the Fed's ability to keep cutting will depend on tariff-related price increases remaining limited.

Trump derided predictions by economists of higher inflation, and the White House said the CPI report was a sign that his program is working.

"The Panicans continue to be proven wrong by the data -- President Trump's tariffs are raking in billions of dollars, small business optimism is at a five-month high, and real wages are rising," press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

Still, most economists anticipate the president's trade agenda will continue to push up consumer prices.

Well, if that's what the experts are saying, I imagine that's exactly what will happen. They've never been wrong before.

"We expect [core inflation] will rise further to a peak of 3.8 percent by the end of the year as tariffs bleed through more fully to consumer prices," said Michael Pearce, deputy chief U.S. economist at Oxford Economics. "The upside risks to inflation will keep the majority of the Federal Open Market Committee preferring to sit on the sidelines for a few more months."

Goldman Sachs economists estimate that consumers absorbed just 22 percent of tariff costs through June, while businesses ate up nearly two-thirds of the levies. But they expect the consumer share to soar to 67 percent by October -- based on how previous import duties affected prices -- and that domestic producers will also raise prices.

JustTheNews reports the story differently from the Angry Democrats of Politico. They say that inflation did not, in fact, "edge higher."

They say it "remained steady."

I think the difference is that JusttheNews is reporting that the inflation rate did not increase or decline this month, while Politico is taking the strange position that if inflation rises at all, even if it's at the same rate as the prior month, it's "edging higher."

Well, we always have inflation -- except in strange and dangerous periods where we have deflation -- so inflation is almost always "edging higher." It's not news to say "The thing that always happens has happened again."

Unless you're partisan political operatives.

For months, the media and the Democrats -- but I repeat myself, again -- have been blowing off the falling inflation rate insisting that Trump had done nothing to reduce food prices, specifically.

But my eggs, which used to cost $7.50 a dozen, are down to $5.30 per dozen. This proves that Trump has done nothing to lower the price of eggs!

Food prices come in at 0.0% -- flat as Dylan Mulvaney -- and now they're focusing on core inflation.

In fairness, though, CNN did mention the falling fuel prices and flat food prices.

Kash Patel Reveals Democrat Whistleblower Who Testifies That Adam Schiff Criminally Leaked Classified Information to Smear Trump

I have it on good authority that -- how did it go? -- no one is above the law.

FBI Director Kash Patel declassified Democrat whistleblower testimony that he says shows Democrat Adam Schiff facilitated the leaking of classified info to hurt President Donald Trump. It was all part of the Russian Collusion hoax to derail Trump's first term in office.

Although he sat for four different interviews and gave first-hand eyewitness testimony that Schiff directed Democrat staffers on the House Intelligence Committee to illegally leak classified information, Biden's Justice Department, of course, did nothing.

A career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade repeatedly warned the FBI beginning in 2017 that then-Rep. Adam Schiff had approved leaking classified information to smear then-President Donald Trump over the now-debunked Russiagate scandal, according to bombshell FBI memos that Director Kash Patel has turned over to Congress.

The FBI 302 interview reports obtained by Just the News state the intelligence staffer -- a Democrat by party affiliation who described himself as a friend to both Schiff, now a California senator, and former Republican House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes -- considered the classified leaking to be "unethical," "illegal," and "treasonous," but was told not to worry about it because Schiff believed he would be spared prosecution under the Constitution's speech and debate clause.

No publicly-disclosed opinion from the Attorney General or the Solicitor General can be found making that determination as a matter of law.

But officials told Just the News that DOJ officials showed little interest in pursuing Schiff when the allegations were brought to them years ago, citing the very same excuse the lawmaker had offered.

In his most recent interview with the bureau in 2023, the whistleblower, whose name is redacted, told agents from the FBI's St. Louis office that he personally attended a meeting at which Schiff authorized leaking classified information.

"When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer's name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF," the interview report said. "In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP."

The whistleblower told investigators that he "stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information," the 2023 interview report stated.

The staffer made similar claims to agents in the FBI's Washington field office as early as 2017, shortly after Trump took office for his first term.

So obviously the FBI covered it up, too, under James Comey's direction. (Or Chris Wray's -- not sure when the interview happened.)

Schiff did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

The alleged leaks fall outside the statute of limitations for prosecution on most legal theories, but the revelations nevertheless come at a sensitive time for Schiff, who recently was referred to the Justice Department for possible prosecution for potential mortgage fraud, based on a story first written by Just the News.

Officials also said some of the DOJ officials who declined to prosecute a rash of classified leaks during the Russiagate affair remain employed in positions of power, a matter that may be of interest to lawmakers in Congress.

"For years, certain officials used their positions to selectively leak classified information to shape political narratives," Patel told Just the News on Monday. "It was all done with one purpose: to weaponize intelligence and law enforcement for political gain.

"Those abuses eroded public trust in our institutions," he added. "The FBI will now lead the charge, with our partners at DOJ, and Congress will have the chance to uncover how political power may have been weaponized and to restore accountability," he said.

The Morning Report — 8/12/25

Good morning kids. Along with the holy hell the Leftists are raising over Gerrymandering — that is Texas Governor Greg Abbott's using the long abused process by Democrats to wrest control of congressional districts for the sole purpose of disenfranchising Republican voters and thereby helping cement a Democrat stranglehold on the legislative process in DC, and in so doing, protect the overwhelming majority of Texans from becoming Democrat hostages.

And with the illegal alien invasion such as it is protecting Texas' crucial Electoral College votes from being hijacked and ultimately America itself from being subsumed into a Socialist/Democrat third world shithole

The big story that is more than tangentially related to the aforementioned is the reaction to President Trump calling out the National Guard to help the under equipped and in reality Democrat-Leftist hamstrung Washington DC police force and DA's office, in getting criminals and scum the hell off the streets.

But let's take a moment and step back to put things in proper perspective. Why is Washington DC and in general virtually all of America's major metropolitan areas crime-ridden hellscapes? To answer that question, first look at who and what has controlled America's cities for decades? The answer of course is the Democrat Party. Who commits the overwhelming majority of crimes in these cities? That would be blacks, Latinos and other non-whites. And these demographic groups have been attached to the hip with the Democrat Party for generations.

Now step back again and try to figure out why it should be that blacks continue to commit the overwhelming majority of crimes. The answer, or at least where to look for the answer is in the trajectory of the black family post World War 2 and the Civil Rights era. As the final stakes were driven into the heart of Jim Crow, the Democrats saw a very large chunk of the voting base, American blacks, moving away from them as they climbed the socio-economic ladder, and so as that happened, the Democrat drive to re-enslave black America via big government dependency started the destruction of the black family, which accelerated with the culture that rejects integration and "acting white" as being a race-traitor and inauthentic. Western values and ethics of morality, hard work, education and responsibility are rejected and an entire cultural movement that reinforces the toxic notion of black victimhood gives them the green light to do anything to survive in "a white man's world."

Look at DEI, the 1619 Project, the anti-racism JIVE Kampf of Ibram X Krement et al, the constant drumbeat of Institutional White Supremacy as all pervasive and inescapable. No wonder we had the Democrat/Leftist led movement to Open up the prisons, decriminalize crime and defund the Police. Forget for a moment that Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Freddie Gray. George Floyd and all the rest of them were engaging in crime when they encountered their fates at the hands of citizens and/or the police. No, for the Democrats, better they should be portrayed as victims of White supremacy. Lest we forget the summer of 2020 when cities were burned to the ground and that evil hideous beast the then mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake demanded that the rioters must have "The Space to Destroy."

We have given the Democrat Left the time and the space to destroy both the Black Family and much of this nation as it was founded.

So, President Trump can call out the National Guard to try and restore order in DC, but given all I have stated, to me it's virtually akin to pissing in the wind.

And yes, Israel must and should destroy Hamas, but at the end of the day the root cause of Hamas' existence will still remain: Islam.

So, call out the National Guard, but until Democrat/Leftism is utterly and completely eradicated America's cities, American Blacks and all of America as founded and as we want it to be, will continue to face mortal peril that calling out the Guard will not solve.
