Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius
Have you ever noticed that every national election cycle everybody talks about Minnesota being a purple state? Have you ever noticed how every national election cycle Minnesota instead always votes deep blue, no matter what? [ ... ] You can say what you want about Democrats, but they have always been adept at illegally buying votes, often in plain sight. My bigger worry is this: where else is this happening in the USA? I have to believe Biden’s habit of dumping massive immigrant populations into certain regions was designed to achieve the same effect as in Minnesota. Orville @Boomertug_1907 Voting laws need to be fixed nationwide. Florida is a good example. Trump beat Hillary by 1.2 pts 2016. Then beat Biden by 3.6 pts 2020. After Florida passed election integrity laws Trump beat Harris by 13.1 pts. Imagine the so-called purple states if they had proper voting laws. Voting laws need to be fixed nationwide. Florida is a good example. Trump beat Hillary by 1.2 pts 2016. Then beat Biden by 3.6 pts 2020. After Florida passed election integrity laws Trump beat Harris by 13.1 pts. Imagine the so-called purple states if they had proper voting laws.

Take the cases of two cops in Minneapolis.
One shot an innocent lady dead for no apparent reason and sentenced to 12 1/2 years that was overturned and resentenced to 4 years 9 months and served only half of that . The other case is a cop restrained a suspect with technique taught to them and the suspect subsequently died arguably from the drugs he swallowed . He was sentence to 22.5 years in a Fed prison where he will have to serve at least 85% of the sentence. Other three cops on the scene that had no contact with the suspect were each sentenced to 2.5 to 3.5 years. Why the discrepancy in the charges and sentencing? The ones the fell for it, are barely as smart as their MN Somali constituents. The handful that are running the scam were totes in on it.
Posted by: BifBewalski It was sanctioned and goes beyond MN. The federal spending law allowing this crap was pushed through by Omar, and almost instantly the fraud machines ginned up as if it was coordinated. Omar's wealth soars to $30 million plus and so on. To pull it off, you need comped or neutered regulators which means tops of agencies are involved, and that means governors and AGs and DAs are involved in the coverup. Now, pick another social spending category like home health. And the same pattern exists--regulators do nothing because they are implicitly ordered to not act or they are bribed themselves, etc. etc. Musk, who was in a position to know, estimated roughly 1-1.5 trillion bucks of our budget are fraud, waste, and abuse. And since healthcare, defense spending, and welfare are the biggest categories of spending, most of the fraud will be found there. Posted by: whig at January 01, 2026 11:41 AM (WDjG6) 119

EU’s new ‘green tariff’ rules on high-carbon goods come into force The ‘border adjustment mechanism’ aims to create a level playing field while also encouraging decarbonisation, 1 Jan 2026 In part, "Under the EU rules, exporters to the bloc can buy certificates to cover the carbon emissions generated in the production of their goods. The CBAM is intended to make sure that competitors from countries with poor environmental standards cannot undercut EU businesses and to prevent “carbon leakage”, when producers move to regions with lax regulations because those countries have a cost advantage. Initially, the rules will cover iron and steel, aluminum, cement, hydrogen, electricity and fertilisers." -- They love to kick their own a**es. Because their blood doesn't contain metallic copper. In lobster blood (hemolymph), copper is found in the protein hemocyanin, which acts as the oxygen carrier; the copper ions cycle between the colorless \(\text{Cu(I)}\) state (deoxygenated) and the blue \(\text{Cu(II)}\) state (oxygenated), giving the blood its blue tint when oxygen is bound, unlike iron-based hemoglobin in vertebrates Posted by: Archimedes at January 01, 2026 11:48 AM (Riz8t) 156

And things like the 2008 economic crash which hit me hard and then the 2020 black ops and the stolen election, etc. have all soured me. I hope things are turning around, but unfortunately I now live always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at January 01, 2026 12:14 PM (P5BPp) 251
My two must haves for a house are a lot size of 1/2 acre and gas furnace and stove.
Posted by: Thomas Paine I use the 1/2 arce minimum to filter out the HOAs. You can pipe your own gas... Just have fill your own tanks because most propane delivery companies won't fill if no permit with licensed plumber for the piping. Also, as a review on the explosion in a facility in Venezuela that Trump linked to the narco-trade interdiction: The facility hit was 3 km from the water front, was a chemical storage and transfer site, and the owner is yelling at President Petro of Colombia for claiming it dealt in narcotics.
Chances are that it was the main source of resin for making the fast boat fiberglass hulls. Also the chances are that no CIA drone was involved in making it go boom, but instead a small band of operators. Posted by: Kindltot at January 01, 2026 12:14 PM (rbvCR) 253
I’ve never understood how so many of my retard coworkers who can’t walk up a flight of stairs can somehow be criminal masterminds when it comes to defrauding work
One rewrote a contract for a hire of his he was having an affair with so she could illegally get family leave and other benefits, another skimmed off the top of budgets where he would hire agencies using 10% of the budget and then pocket the difference of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Eventually they did get caught but the irony was that before that they had actually received promotions. I’ve been here 4 years and still haven’t gotten a promotion despite receiving several employee awards What a racket Posted by: The Unvaxed and Unmasked Ranger - Where Are My Keto Cheetos at January 01, 2026 12:16 PM (REq0p) 254

*********** That’s funny, my family is looking for the same but I increased lot size to one acre, as they like to use this rectangular format where all the land is behind the house, thus ensuring even with a half acre you can’t even roll out of bed without hitting the wall of your neighbors house Posted by: The Unvaxed and Unmasked Ranger - Where Are My Keto Cheetos at January 01, 2026 12:19 PM (REq0p) 255
Yeah, I have no intention of tackling this solo. I know some folks with relevant skills, though, or at least they can recommend a good electrician.
Posted by: "Perfessor" Squirrel Pfft Just match the colors up. Should have black, red, white, and maybe green or bare copper as a bonus. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at January 01, 2026 12:22 PM (/lPRQ) 256
You’ll have to pry my multifunctional trig and log slide rule from my cold stiff hands. It’s down to 50 here in the desert and I’m still drinking on back porch.

My rant: I had to sign up for a trial of YouTubeTV to watch the college playoffs. There is something wrong with these games not being on OTAtv.
