Soros DA (antisemitism alert!) Larry Krasner's jurisdiction has been shrunk by an act of the Pennsylvania legislature, signed into law by Democrat Governor Shapiro.
Philadelphia's progressive district attorney, Larry Krasner, had some of his authority stripped and diverted to a new prosecutorial position due to his failed "liberal, woke" policies, the Associated Press reported Tuesday. Last week, Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro signed into law Senate Bill 140, which creates a new special prosecutor role for mass transit. According to the measure, the special prosecutor has the power to "investigate and institute criminal proceedings for a violation of the laws of this Commonwealth occurring within a public transportation authority." "The special prosecutor's prosecutorial jurisdiction shall include the power and independent authority to exercise all investigative and prosecutorial functions and powers of an office of the district attorney," the bill added. So they're taking the ability to prosecute -- or not prosecute -- crimes which interfere with citizens' right to travel. Crimes committed on subways and, one hopes, BLM/Hamas takeovers of public streets and highways. Not a lot, really. But I guess it's a shot across the bow? Maybe?
Krasner, a Democrat, called the measure unconstitutional and an "attack on democracy." "This is normalizing the erasure of Philadelphia votes. This is what people who want to be dictators do," Krasner stated during a news conference last week. So, it's the state government which is invested with all the legislative power the state has. Localities have political power because the state devolves part of its power away to municipalities. They can limit that power, change what powers they devolve, etc. Krasner is the one attacking democracy here, of course. AllahPundit also showed he was absent the day they taught law in law school when he argued that DeSantis and the Florida legislature couldn't take away municipalities' power to impose vax and mask mandates. Of course they can, the municipalities only hold power in the first place due to a positive grant of power from the state. But he was always stupid. And very... emotional. And he was so very very scared of covid! But you know, he really believes in The Science (TM). I guess that's good. Everyone should have some religion in his life. Religion can often give a sense of comfort to the unfortunates of the world, and the mental cases. Mitch McConnel is the least popular congressional leader, with an approval rating of... 6%. At six percent, you're basically down to staffers, donors, and members of the Chinese communist party.
A new Monmouth University poll released Monday has revealed Americans' least favorite leader in Congress, but all maintain underwater approval ratings. According to the poll, just 6% of adults say they approve of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's, R-Ky., job performance, with a whopping 60% saying they disapprove. 34% had no opinion. McConnell was the only congressional leader with a net negative approval rating from within his own party, and fell far behind his Democrat and Republican colleagues on how they are viewed by the American public. Just 10% of Republicans said they approved of McConnell's job performance, with 41% disapproving and 49% having no opinion. McConnell's approval rating was down from 12% in July, with 50% disapproving and 37% having no opinion. At yet he convinces himself he is The One Indispensable Man and must continue clinging to power with the tenacity of a tick on a bronco's ass. Narcissism is a hell of a drug. Glad I kicked the stuff in my mid-20s. Doing the Jobs Americans Just Won't Do Update: Nearly 60% of illegal alien households are on welfare.
Close to 60 percent of households headed by illegal aliens use at least one major form of welfare, an analysis conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals. The CIS analysis from Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler shows illegal aliens and legal immigrants, in general, use "significantly more" welfare than native-born American citizens. For example, about 59 percent of households headed by illegal aliens use welfare and about 52 percent of households headed by legal immigrants use at least one form of welfare. At the same time, fewer than 4-in-10 households headed by native-born American citizens use welfare. "... this is primarily because the American welfare system is designed in large part to help low-income families with children, which describes a large share of immigrants," CIS researchers note. In particular, the study found that immigrant-headed households use far more food stamps, Medicaid benefits, and the Earned Income Tax Credit than native-born American households. "Compared to households headed by the United States-born, immigrant-headed households have especially high use of food programs (36 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), Medicaid (37 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), and the Earned Income Tax Credit (16 percent vs. 12 percent for the U.S.-born)," CIS researchers state. The use of taxpayer-funded welfare among illegal aliens as well as legal immigrants is significant as the nation's foreign-born population hits new record highs under President Joe Biden. CIS researchers, last month, unveiled that 49.5 million foreign-born residents now live across the U.S. -- the largest ever in American history and the overwhelming majority of which is driven by legal immigration levels. For comparison, the foreign-born population was just 9.7 million in 1960.Thanks, Karl Rove! Don't eat so much you put yourself into a diabetic coma or anything. That would make me so sad. I Shan't Believe It, I Simply Shannot Update: Trans activist arrested for rape of two young boys in Larry Krasner's Philadelphia.
An LGBTQ+ activist was arrested in Philadelphia on Monday and charged with the rape of two young boys. Trans-identified male Kendall Stephens, who was referred to in the local news as "she," was alleged to have raped two boys under the age of 13.Now wait a minute -- that doesn't sound like the kind of crime a lady would commit.
I'm wondering if maybe the attack had something with misbehavior towards the nephews.
Stephens was charged with indecent assault of a person under 13, rape, unlawful contact with minor sexual offenses, and endangering the welfare of children - parent or guardian, ABC reports. Stephens bail has been set at $250,000 and Stephens will make a court appearance on December 29. The investigation is not being led by the district attorney's office but by another agency.
Stephens' activism began in 2020 after being attacked in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia. This attack took place in Stephens' home which Stephens shared with two godchildren, both teen girls. Stephens posts photos with children identified as her nephews on Instagram. Stephens claimed the attack was due to Stephens trans identity. After that attack, Stephens began to advocate for LGBTQ+ identities to be protected under Pennsylvania's hate crime laws.
No shit, really? When someone says they want to "rap" with your kids about sex, BELIEVE THEM. You know how many kids I want to talk about sex with? Zero. In fact, I'd rather not deal with children at all. This is normal. Men are not supposed to take an interest in other people's children, except to the bare-minimum level required to compliment the parents. Men who seek out "friendships" and other relationships with other people's children are not doing it for the "activism." The activism is the cover. And If That Doesn't Work I'll Subpoena You Again, Bucko Update: Jim Jordan demands that Merrick Garland turn over documents the DOJ is hiding about surveillance they ran on congressional staffers during the Trump years. Like spying on Kash Patel. Come for the Mental Decrepitude, Stay for the Unprosecuted Sexual Assault Update: Young Biden 2020 voters abandoning "President" Roomba over concerns that Biden might be as ignorant and incompetent as they are.
Stephens efforts were supported by DA Larry Krasner...
Young voters are increasingly "bailing on Biden," according to an NBC News article from Monday. "Jayden Camarena, in Northern California, is contemplating blowing off the 2024 presidential election," NBC reported in a story headlined, "Young voters explain why they're bailing on Biden -- and whether they'd come back." "Evan McKenzie, in battleground Wisconsin, is looking for any other candidate than the current front-runners. In Philadelphia, Pru Carmichael isn't even convinced this race matters," NBC reported. "Braeden McNulty, of Edison Park, NJ, reported regretting Their vote for Biden the morning after the election. 'I honestly thought I was voting for Walter the Puppet,' They said. 'I expected him to be funnier.'"Okay, had you, I inserted one of those three quotes. You'll have to guess which one.
Even if that lead is real, I don't expect it to last. Democrats will "come home" when faced with the prospect of the Tyrant So Tyrannical He Couldn't Even Get His AG to Prosecute the Guilty-As-Sin Hunter Biden. Hollywood Update: Last week there was some story going around that Warner Bros. had a 60% chance of going bankrupt in the near future. It's very heavy on debt and has been trying to get from under the debt load. Now comes word that WB is in talks with Paramount to merge.
These voters are three examples of people who voted for Biden in 2020 but "now say the president can't count on their support in 2024." Other young voters told NBC News that they felt obligated not to support Biden anymore. "I genuinely could not live with myself if I voted for someone who's made the decisions that Biden has," McKenzie, a 23-year-old resident of Madison, Wisconsin, said. "I didn't even feel great about" voting for Biden in 2020, he explained. "It's so complicated, because it almost feels like if I were to give my vote for Biden, I will be showing the Democratic Party that what they are putting out is enough, which is the bare minimum in my opinion," Camarena, a 24-year-old living outside the Bay Area in California, told NBC. Former President Trump is leading Biden among young voters by a 13-point margin, according to a recent Fox News poll. The polling results come as the Trump campaign is targeting young voters and widening its support among GOP voters.
Deadline has confirmed that Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount Global have held talks on a possible merger. Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish and WBD boss David Zaslav sat down on Tuesday at Paramount's corporate headquarters in New York's Times Square, a well-place source tells Deadline, "It was all rather preliminary," the source said of the talks. Shari Redstone, CEO of Paramount's controlling shareholder, National Amusements, "is on a bit of a listening tour to see what she might be able to get if she decides to sell the company or part of it," he added. Two additional people with knowledge of the discussions confirmed them to Deadline. Deadline has reported in recent days that Redstone, after spending years holding her family's empire together, had become open to offers for National Amusements and Paramount assets from suitors including Skydance and RedBird Capital. Redstone was not in the room with Zaslav and Bakish for the actual meeting, a source noted. She did have a separate conversation with Zaslav this week, where the role of broadcast network CBS in any potential future deal was a major topic. As a broadcast network coupled with 28 owned stations in many markets, CBS is a significant asset but also a legacy one.Would a merger pass an anti-trust review? Well, on one hand, their merger reduces the number of "bigs" -- big studios -- from six to five. On the other hand, if WB were to collapse, then that would also reduce the number of Bigs to five. A merger, they'd argue, would actually "strengthen competition." Which makes me wonder if WB leaked that claim about going bankrupt. I don't know, whatever happens, Star Trek will continue to be woke.

The other day I mentioned someone saying on Twitter that this twink pervert has been so relentlessly affirmed in every thing he's done that it's a genuine shock to him that arranging a random German to f*** him in his a** in the well of the Senate would be seen as anything less than deserving of celebration.
His delusion is not unique. There is a genuine sickness of repulsive, pathological narcissism on the gay/DEI left.
By the staff, not some single op-ed writer. This is the considered corporate opinion of "AFRU."
Fired for his act of love in the senate Aidan Maese-Czeropski's act was symbolic and brave, because in a world full of hate, displays of love are rebellious. We shouldn't bend over to a party that hates; we must do the opposite. by AFRU staff
So, it's official. Senator Ben Cardin's office has told Politico that "Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the US Senate." Goaded by demagogic republicans, the Capitol police has now also opened an investigation. As republicans pounce on an opportunity to destroy young activist Aidan Maese-Czeropski, the discourse around the senate hearing room love display raises serious questions about the ongoing challenges faced by the LGBTQ community. Unless you've been living under a rock, you've already seen the viral video making the rounds on every social media feed there is. Republicans just can't stop watching the 8 second clip featuring two men embracing each other in love while you can briefly see an empty room in the background. It turns out one of the lovemaking men was Aidan Maese-Czeropski, and the room was recognized by some as the senate hearing room. We get it. It's the most important room in America. It was in this very room that Sonia Sotomayor herself had her confirmation hearing, and won despite an entire oligarchy reorienting itself to wipe her out. This is also where James Comey exposed the Russian interference in the 2016 elections, to the chagrin of the treason party.Holy crap. They went from 0 to Stupid in 1.1 seconds.
His ass is now pregnant with a butt baby, I've heard.
But in a world built on hate, displays of love are inherently rebellious. Every second that Aidan and his partner made love in the halls of power was pregnant with poignant meaning.
Not only are the "insurrectionists" Nazis, but the historical Nazis are now "insurrectionists." Just to make that semantic link all the stronger.
And in a time when the LGBTQ community is under existential threat by white fragility feeling threatened, open displays of LGBTQ culture are necessarily brave. In some ways, Aidan's act mirrored that of Anne Frank, who dared to express her honest thoughts and feelings even as she hid from rabid insurrectionist-style death squads.
Stochastic terrorism = objecting to someone getting a rando (possibly a paid male escort) to sodomize you in the Senate and then proudly posting that to your social media accounts waiting for the Affirmation and Celebration to roll in.
Let's recognize the fallout from the incident for what it is: a stochastic far right attack on gay rights activists. As republicans fire up their hate machine in preparation for the 2024 elections, Aidan's very life is now on the line. Let's not fool ourselves. Right-wing attacks will scream with ever increasing pitch from darkweb radio stations and social media channels until some insurrectionist nutjob picks up a gun and the intended consequences have become fait accompli.
Aidan's persecution by right-wing nutbars writ large is a threat to his life and the life of every LGBTQ individual in this country. This cannot stand. The fight has just begun. It sounds like a parody, but all of their crap is hard-left stuff like this:
Why is this a thing? 10 statues that white people just can’t stop sexually harassing
It's time to normalize not having kids From the moment they are born, they put their suckers into our soul and extract every last bit of available time and money. Let's rise above animals and make sentient choices
Here's why you should pay PoC for the emotional labor of dealing with you Whether physical or emotional, we have a word for free labor. That word is slavery. From the "Sex Work" vertical:
Toke for two: honoring my favorite dead sex clients When clients vanish and never contact me again, usually I can only guess what happened. But Crazy T and Latex Geezer were different. Before you say "this must be a parody" -- all of this crap is echoed in non-parody outlets like Teen Vogue. There is a group out there working diligently to increase hatred towards gays and to reduce their tolerance in society. And that group is the gay/DEI left, who cannot find a depth so low they will not eagerly bottom it. The founder of Gays Against Groomers called this out:
Jaimee MichellSo this is by no means a universal claim among gays. I bet you it's pretty widespread on the gay left, though. They are now quite serious about the point that "Failure to celebrate homosexuality, even the most deranged and perverted and evil (like gay pee party orgies during a time of monkeypox) parts of it, is equal to 'trying to murder gays.'" If you're not celebrating, you're killing people! This is the same claim made by the trans activists, of course.
@thegaywhostrayd I regret to inform you that the degenerate libs are now comparing having sex in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing room to Anne Frank's plight hiding from Nazis. No, it isn't satire. I had to make sure myself. https://afru.com/senate-hearing

Elite universities aren't institutions of learning but sites for reproducing status, elite belonging. These people truly believe they deserve to rule over average folks. Hence the Orwellian "We must protect the people from voting for their chosen candidate--to defend democracy!" How can people say with a straight face they are defending democracy by barring the most popular candidate? The class divide in the US which apportioned over 50% of GDP to the credentialed elite convinced them they deserve to hoard not just the American Dream but the franchise. We need less people trying to save the Ivy League and more people trying to save America.
Not directly related, but last night, she also expressed an idea I think really has to be emphasized: the revolt against the Ivies has to be more about "Safetyism for Jews, too."
I'm sorry but the people trying to save Harvard are part of the problem. Harvard isn't primarily an institution of learning. It's an institution of status conferring in which people who hate America gatekeep the American Dream by granting each other little honors and credentials It's very hard to graduate from these institutions and still believe your fellow citizens have a right to disagree with you and--horror of all horrors!--a right to take the country in a direction you disapprove of if there are more of them than you, which by definition there are. This is why America's liberal journalists are so gung ho for censorship and getting Trump off the ballot and other anti-American measures: Many went to elite universities, where they became convinced that their numbers were in inverse proportion to their right to rule the masses There are only two options for people with views you don't like: convince them you're right with better ideas or silence them. To be an American is to choose the first option in nearly every case. Yet the vast majority of people in power went to schools that endorse the second. Remember when ordinary Americans whose communities and wages were decimated by globalization and mass migration voted for the first guy to say NAFTA was a mistake and call for securing the border, and the entire liberal political caste said in unison, "IT WAS PUTIN!" That was choosing the second option, which looks like it's about politics but is actually about class. They weren't silencing conservatives. They were silencing the working class who they have contempt for which curdles into absolute rage on the rare occasions that the masses win.
The lesson of this moment simply cannot be that Jewish Rhodes scholars need more codelling and protection from screaming 18 year olds. It absolutely has to be that we have broken the contract with the working class by buying into the corrupt mythology of Harvard et al.

Harvard University on Tuesday received a complaint outlining over 40 allegations of plagiarism against its embattled president, Claudine Gay. The document paints a picture of a pattern of misconduct more extensive than has been previously reported and puts the Harvard Corporation, the university's governing body--which said it initiated an "independent review" of Gay's scholarship and issued a statement of support for her leadership--back in the spotlight.Claudine Gay, Plagiarist.
The new allegations, which were submitted to Harvard's research integrity officer, Stacey Springs, include the examples reported by the Washington Free Beacon and other outlets, as well as dozens of additional cases in which Gay quoted or paraphrased authors without proper attribution, according to a copy of the complaint reviewed by the Free Beacon. They range from missing quotation marks around a few phrases or sentences to entire paragraphs lifted verbatim. The full list of examples spans seven of Gay's publications--two more than previously reported--which comprise almost half of her scholarly output. Though the Harvard Corporation said earlier this month that it initiated an independent review of Gay's work in October and found "no violation of Harvard's standards for research misconduct," that probe focused on just three papers. "[I]t is impossible that your office has already reviewed the entirety of these materials," the complaint reads, "as many ... have not been previously reported or submitted." All allegations of faculty plagiarism must be reviewed by Harvard's research integrity officer, according to the school's official policies, and if deemed credible are referred for further investigation. A guilty finding can result in a range of consequences--including "suspension," "rank reduction," and "termination of employment." In determining the appropriate sanction, the school claims to consider whether the misconduct "was an isolated event or part of a pattern." Lurking in the background of the complaint is the question of whether Gay, Harvard's 30th president, will be held to the same standards as the university's own students, dozens of whom are disciplined for plagiarism each year.
Claudine Gay is a pseudointellectual who specialises in being a Diverse Black Female Academic. She first served as a Diverse Black Female Academic at Stanford University, before leaving to become a Diverse Black Female Academic at Harvard University. In 2018, Harvard decided it would be even more Diverse of them to make Gay the Diverse Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and in 2023 they thought they could achieve a new pinnacle of Diversity by making her their first Diverse Black Female President. Because Gay's importance derives entirely from being a Diverse Black Female Academic, she is an underqualified mediocrity, and she has never published anything interesting. In fact, relative to the average tenured Harvard professor, she has never published much of anything at all. Like a lot of overpromoted mediocrities, Gay does not do her job very well.... Because academia is full of craven and cowardly people on the one hand, and malicious politically motivated people on the other hand, Gay has no shortage of defenders. I am not going to quote them because their statements are stupid and indefensible. Even some of the scholars Gay has plagiarised insist she is not guilty of plagiarism, though a growing number have come forward to state the obvious. What Gay has done in her dissertation and across at least five of her meagre career-total eleven papers is obviously plagiarism, and students at Harvard are very aware that they would be suspended for infractions like these. Gay's job is not to be a good president or a good scholar, however. Her job is to be a black female president and a black female scholar, and for this reason Harvard will try to keep her around.
... I used to be a professor, I have published various books and articles, and for a while I even edited a journal. I know many students and the odd academic who have faced serious consequences for offences much lesser than Gay's.
Carol Swain: Claudine Gay stole my work, period.
I write as one of the scholars whose work Ms. Gay plagiarized. She failed to credit me for sections from my 1993 book, "Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress" and an article I published in 1997, "Women and Blacks in Congress: 1870-1996." The damage to me extends beyond the two instances of plagiarism identified by researchers Christopher Rufo and Christopher Brunet. Ms. Gay's damage to me is aggravated because her early work was in the area where my research is considered seminal. Her scholarship on black congressional representation, electoral districting and descriptive representation builds on terrain where I plowed the ground. When one follows in the footsteps of a more senior scholar, one is expected to acknowledge the latter's contribution to the field and how one's own research and ideas refute, affirm or expand knowledge in the area. Ms. Gay ignored the substantive importance of my research, which she should have acknowledged and engaged. A single citation or two wouldn't usually be considered intellectually honest. When scholars aren't cited adequately or their work is ignored, it harms them because academic stature is determined by how often other researchers cite your work. Ms. Gay had no problem riding on the coattails of people whose work she used without proper attribution. Many of those whose work she pilfered aren't as incensed as I am. They are elites who have benefited from a system that protects its own.Even the left-wing Boston Globe points out that Harvard is equivocating and double-talking about whether Gay committed plagiarism or not. They don't want to specify: If they say what she did wasn't plagiarism, then it's also not plagiarism for any other Harvard professor, researcher, or student. If they admit it was, then they have to can her. So they're obfuscating.
Even aside from the documented instances of plagiarism, Ms. Gay's work wouldn't normally have earned tenure in the Ivy League. Tenure at a top-tier institution normally demands ground-breaking originality; her work displays none. In a world where the privilege of diversity is king, Ms. Gay was able to parlay mediocre research into tenure and administrative advancement at what was once considered a world-class university. Harvard can't condemn Ms. Gay because she is the product of an elite system that holds minorities of high pedigree to a lower standard. This harms academia as a whole, and it demeans Americans, of all races, who had to work for everything they earned.
The rest of American higher education looks to Harvard for guidance on academic norms. With that leadership role in mind, the university should clear away the uncertainty over how it has applied its plagiarism policies to president Claudine Gay's past academic work and state clearly whether several of her papers ran afoul of the rules it expects students and professors to follow -- or not. Gay's scholarly publications have come under a microscope in recent months, and media outlets have flagged numerous examples of what appear to be nearly verbatim copying from other sources. Last week the university's governing board released a confusing statement that appeared to confirm a few instances of plagiarism -- without using that word. It said a review by scholars had confirmed "instances of inadequate citation" in Gay's work, but also that she did not violate "standards for research misconduct." The statement also said she would be seeking corrections to add citations and quotation marks in two papers. The statement seems contradictory. If Gay didn't violate any standards of research, why would she need to correct anything? Nor does the statement reflect what many Harvard affiliates thought the rules were. A webpage on Harvard's own website titled "What Constitutes Plagiarism?" says "it is considered plagiarism to draw any idea or any language from someone else without adequately crediting that source in your paper." Doesn't that mean that, almost by definition, "inadequate citation" constitutes plagiarism?Christopher Rufo breaks new news: Harvard knew that Claudine Gay had a plagiarism problem one year ago, but apparently did not look into it until their quickie sweep-it-under-the-rug-in-one-week "investigation."

Yesterday we talked about Texas' new law criminalizing illegal entry into Texas. The law goes beyond the federal law, which I think will doom it, but I said that I thought a state law that substantially tracks the federal law, and thus gives Texas law enforcement a legal basis for arresting illegals (and courts a basis for jailing them), could pass muster.
This new decision supports my take, I think. But you be the judge. Biden's lawless regime ordered their border cops to rip down Texas' property -- their border wire fence. A lower court found that the federal government had no right to do that and enjoined them from doing so, but then reversed itself and undid the injunction. (Though they still held that the Regime's actions were illegal -- they just reversed their order to stop it.) Texas appealed that stupid Half-Hawaiian Judge ruling. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals now affirms that, and temporarily enjoins the federal government from tearing down any more of Texas' border barrier except in cases of medical emergency. The injunction will last until a full trial on the merits, I assume. Fox News:
A federal appeals court handed the state of Texas a win on Tuesday when it temporarily blocked the Biden administration from removing razor wire barriers placed at the border by Texas authorities. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the government is barred during the appeal from "damaging, destroying, or otherwise interfering with Texas's [concertina wire] fence in the vicinity of Eagle Pass, Texas" unless it is for a medical emergency. The state sued the Biden administration in October over its cutting or damaging of the more than 29 miles of concertina wire along the border in order to allow illegal immigrants to enter deeper into the U.S. "By cutting Texas's concertina wire, the federal government has not only illegally destroyed property owned by the State of Texas; it has also disrupted the State's border security efforts, leaving gaps in Texas's border barriers and damaging Texas's ability to effectively deter illegal entry into its territory," Texas said. Please read this and explain to me, if you can, how this makes any sense at all:
A barrier at the border inhibits agents from patrolling the border. No, a barrier inhibits illegals from crossing the border -- which is what you object to. Biden should be cited for making a fraudulent representation on the court.
The state had installed the wire near key crossing areas where there have been massive surges of illegal immigration in recent years. The federal government has said that once migrants are on U.S. soil, Border Patrol agents must apprehend them, and has claimed the wire "inhibits Border Patrol's ability to patrol the border."
A DHS spokesperson told Fox in October that it does not comment on pending litigation, but "generally speaking, Border Patrol agents have a responsibility under federal law to take those who have crossed onto U.S. soil without authorization into custody for processing, as well as to act when there are conditions that put our workforce or migrants at risk."And there you go: It's about bringing illegals in, and then giving them "processing" and welfare. You can't "process" them, as The Regime is eager to do, and then release them into the interior of the country, if they're blocked from entry in the first place. Note that once released into the interior of the country, illegals are allowed to be present in the US until their court hearing. Which many never show up for. And those who show up will be coached on how to lie to get asylum. And those court dates are a long, long way off. Plenty of time to have a DREAMER anchor-baby!
So it is imperative to keep them out of the country in the first place. Which is why the Biden Junta is doing the opposite, and ordering the tear-down of a border fence. Karen Armstrong quotes this from Dallas News: a statement that Texas' actions will help to enforce federal laws as written, not as "interpreted" into a defacto repeal by the Biden Junta.
Bill Melugin
@BillMelugin_ NEW: A Colombian woman who crossed illegally into El Paso, TX & was released into the U.S. was given an ICE check in date in NYC in 2031. Her immigration attorney, @mkolken, tells me it's one of the most shocking things he's seen in his nearly 30 years of immigration law. (1/2). 2/2) Kolken tells me his client is a legitimate asylum seeker with what he feels is an air tight case, but because the system is so backlogged with illegitimate asylum claims, he's not sure they'll ever get a chance to argue it in court with her next check in 8 years into the future. "It made me realize the Biden administration is basically providing backdoor amnesty for anyone who wants to show up at the border," he said.
The ruling also suggested that, rather than impeding federal law enforcement, Texas' actions supplement it. There is "substantial public interest in having governmental agencies abide by the federal laws that govern their existence and operations," the court wrote, citing an earlier case. That's why I think a modified Texas law criminalizing illegal entry will stand: State law must be congruent with federal law, not the mere policy of a lone degenerate bribe-taking pervert.

Trump's "crime" was using what were arguably legal processes to challenge an election, and for calling for people to "fight" for a win. The left is seriously now claiming that calls to "fight" are "insurrection." But only for Republicans, of course. When Kamala Harris declares that BLM to "should not stop" their riots, but should continue them through the election, that's perfectly legal, of course. That's not insurrectionary at all! And of course Saint Sodomy Barack Obama called for "hit[ting] them [Republicans] twice as hard." The Colorado Supreme Court says that's "insurrection" -- and then uses their own highly-disputable legal processes to rig an election. This ruling is stayed until January 4th. If Trump appeals to the Supreme Court, which he of course will, they will stay this indefinitely, until the Court rules. And the Court will rule against this madness. Otherwise, they might as well declare a Civil War themselves.
Colorado Ruling Knocks Trump Off Ballot: What It Means, What Happens Next The challengers who sought to disqualify Donald J. Trump prevailed on every legal issue, but the case is almost certainly headed for the Supreme Court, where they would have to do so again. They "prevailed on every legal issue," which is highly unusual, because they had to to arrive at this ruling, and they decided beforehand they would arrive at this ruling. After that, it was just check-boxing all the sub-rulings they had to make to get there.
The Insurrectionist Left is inventing lots of new, unprecedented "law" to disqualify opponents they don't like.
The Colorado voters who sought to disqualify Donald J. Trump from the state's 2024 Republican primary ballot ran the table on eight distinct legal issues on Tuesday night. To ultimately keep him off the ballot, though, they almost certainly will have to do so again -- in the U.S. Supreme Court. In a 4-to-3 decision that set off a political and legal earthquake, the Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday said that Mr. Trump had engaged in insurrection and therefore was barred by the 14th Amendment from holding federal office. "This is a major and extraordinary holding from a state supreme court," Derek Muller, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame, wrote on the Election Law Blog. "Never in history has a presidential candidate been excluded from the ballot under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. United States Supreme Court review seems inevitable, and it exerts major pressure on the court."
There has never been a criminal finding that Trump engaged in "insurrection," an absolute prerequisite for this finding. So this "court," in a civil case with a mere preponderance-of-the-evidence standard, decides, "Oh, well we think it was insurrection, even though no prosecutor has even alleged that and no other court has determined that, and so we'll make this decision entirely on our own." Viva Frei has a cynical theory: The Colorado Supreme Court knows this decision is lawless and will not stand. But they intend to infuriate MAGA supporters into committing violence, so that they can then use that violence retroactively to justify the exclusion of Trump from the ballot for the "safety of the Republic." So, be smart. Joe Mannix disagrees:
The majority on Tuesday said every key legal issue came out against Mr. Trump.
"The sum of these parts is this: President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president," the majority said in an unsigned opinion, saying that his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results amounted to engaging in an insurrection and that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War, bars insurrectionists from federal office, including the presidency. The majority added: "We do not reach these conclusions lightly. We are mindful of the magnitude and weight of the questions now before us. We are likewise mindful of our solemn duty to apply the law, without fear or favor, and without being swayed by public reaction to the decisions that the law mandates we reach."
I don't think so. I think it's about providing a model for states that matter. Colorado does not matter. It will not go to a Republican in the general election, no matter what. It's a rotten state with cheat-by-mail and ballot harvesting. That outcome is known and so this doesn't matter as far as how Colorado goes in the election. But somebody needs to blaze a trail for states like Wisconsin, and you can be sure they will look at what SCOTUS does very closely. If SCOTUS doesn't bat this down, then it's all clear for swing states to do it. If SCOTUS does, they'll trial it in another state (or in CO again) with a tweak to the methodology. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!)Yeah, I think Frei's theory is too convoluted and I think Mannix i right. But still: Be smart anyway. Because whether they intended the Kafka Trap or not, they are waiting to spring the Kafka Trap.

“They had to adopt the most sweeping interpretation on every single issue. The only opinion that’s not sweeping is when they get to the First Amendment and free speech, then they adopt a narrow interpretation,” [George Washington University law professor Jonathan] Turley said. “They suggest Trump doesn’t have free speech protections. In order to establish he was engaged in an insurrection, they go back to speeches in 2016, and they basically daisy chain these speeches to say, ‘look he’s been at this for a long time.’ I think the factual and legal basis of this opinion is really so porous that the Supreme Court will make fast work of it.” “They’ve got to get involved first of all because there’s not much time to make a final decision and also have to get involved because this is dead wrong,” Turley added. “I think they are dead wrong on the law. I just published a piece in Georgetown for this theory. I think it’s fundamentally flawed, both in terms of the language of the Constitution and the history.” . . . “They had to adopt the most sweeping interpretation on every single issue. The only opinion that’s not sweeping is when they get to the First Amendment and free speech, then they adopt a narrow interpretation,” Turley said. “They suggest Trump doesn’t have free speech protections. In order to establish he was engaged in an insurrection, they go back to speeches in 2016, and they basically daisy chain these speeches to say, ‘look he’s been at this for a long time.’ I think the factual and legal basis of this opinion is really so porous that the Supreme Court will make fast work of it.” . . . “This country needs some healing, and what the Colorado Supreme Court did is they basically took a blow at democracy in the name of democracy as you mentioned,” Turley told McEnany. “We never needed the democratic process more. We need voters to be able to make a decision.”For the umpteenth-bazillionth time, on January 6th, 2021 at his rally that was about a mile away from the Capitol, at no time did Donald Trump ever exhort the crowd to violently storm Congress, or overthrow the government or in any other way, shape or form in any real meaning of the word "insurrection" call for one. I defy anyone to provide me with an accurate, unabridged/edited transcript of his remarks that shows otherwise. In point of fact, what was going on at the Capitol started way before Trump even started speaking. And we all know what went on: a false flag op run by the DOJ and Nancy Pelosi's Capitol PD to frame innocent, duped people as "insurrectionists" and "terrorists" that "threatened our precious democracy" (vomit). Not one of them was armed. Not one of them engaged in any violent behavior. All were under the control and supervision of police and security guards and more or less behaved accordingly. As now has been verified, it was several dozen or even scores of agents-provocateur acting on orders from or even undercover agents of the DOJ/FBI/police who engaged in violent behavior or egged it on. Ray Epps, BLM leader Sullivan, anyone? The only people who died were unarmed rally-goers Ashli Babbitt, gunned down by Michael Byrd and Roseanne Boyland who was beaten to death by DOJ goons. The CO Supreme Court, along with all of the kangaroo court abominations are alleging, have ZERO basis in fact. What they are prosecuting Trump for is solely having the gall to believe he could exercise his First Amendment rights. Just like Al Gore, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton did. And all of them, especially Clinton, did indeed encourage electors to break the law and sabotage the Electoral College. And ditto all of the kangaroo court trials that destroyed the lives of several hundred innocent people, many of whom are still languishing behind bars in the Garland Archipelago. Meanwhile, criminals run wild in our streets and millions of foreigners who have no right to be here are rushing our border unimpeded and unpunished. I have my reservations about Donald Trump as I know many of you as well for some of his ill-advised and in some cases catastrophic decisions that helped the globalists fuck him up and greased the skids of election theft in 2020. But that said, with him the likely nominee, and more importantly in the face of all of this, that has to be put on the back burner. There will be time to hold his feet to the fire, assuming his ego will even allow that, but for now, we have to realize this is an attack on all of us. Hence, Ramaswamy delivers another well-timed and well-stated shot across the bow:
In his statement released on X, Ramaswamy called the ruling a true “attack on democracy,” characterizing it as “a cabal of Democrat judges” seeking to bar the former president from the 2024 election “I pledge to *withdraw* from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is also allowed to be on the state’s ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to do the same immediately – or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver, which will have disastrous consequences for our country,” he said. “Today’s decision is the latest election interference tactic to silence political opponents and swing the election for whatever puppet the Democrats put up this time by depriving Americans of the right to vote for their candidate of choice,” he added. Ramaswamy then outlined some of the history behind the 14th Amendment, noting that it was passed “to prohibit former Confederate military and political leaders from holding high federal or state office.” “These men had clearly taken part in a rebellion against the United States: the Civil War. That makes it all the more absurd that a left-wing group in Colorado is asking a federal court to disqualify the 45th President on the same grounds, equating his speech to rebellion against the United States,” he noted. “The Framers of the 14th Amendment would be appalled to see this narrow provision—intended to bar former U.S. officials who switched to the Confederacy from seeking public office—being weaponized by a sitting President and his political allies to prevent a former President from seeking reelection. Our country is becoming unrecognizable to our Founding Fathers,” he concluded. The cynic in me of course notes that Ramaswamy is no doubt lobbying hard for the veep slot on the Trump ticket. But you can't dispute anything he said. And it needs to be said and acted on. Not sure about DeSantis but the personal political ambitions and allegiances of Haley and Crisco might preclude their standing in unison and telling the CO court to go fuck itself. In any case, whatever you think about Trump as a candidate or even a leader (I could care fuck-all about his "personality"), all of the above along with the continued sliming of him as "literally Hitler" and the fear-mongering that Trump will become a tyrannical dictator – the abject chutzpocrisy of that propaganda campaign is a howler that makes a dead man's ears bleed – is telling. It is they who fear him because they fear all of us. The irony of course is that with each charge and each outrage hurled at him, Trump's poll numbers only go up. And that has not been lost on some of the more clear-thinking of the Left.
[Dem poll guru Doug] Schoen stated that as a Democrat, he believes it will not only hurt the party, but “democracy” as well. The pollster continued to highlight allegations against Trump have yet to be “fully vetted in a court of law,” emphasizing Biden should fight to keep him on the ballot. “Well, this is one Democrat who believes this is gonna hurt Democrats and certainly hurt democracy. You know, Donald Trump has not been convicted of anything, and to kick him off the ballot preemptively is to me anti-democratic and against the interests of the Democratic Party,” Schoen stated. “Donald Trump has a lot of negatives, but to throw him off the ballot, based on allegations which have not been fully vetted in a court of law, with appeals, is to me contrary everything our country stands for. And I’m a Biden supporter. I would vote for Joe Biden tomorrow. But I would tell Joe Biden that he should press the Supreme Court to get Donald Trump back on the Colorado ballot, indeed on every ballot.”Good on Schoen, but I will assume that he assumes that all of the charges will stick, so he can preen, strut and gloat about his "principled" stand when Trump is sent off to Leavenworth, or Old Sparky given the warped bloodthirsty mindset of the Judiciary. But, reading between the lines, Schoen also fears Trump can and will beat Biden, probably even in as close to a landslide as today's political landscape can give. Of course, the 82 million ballot gorilla in the room is the fraud factor, now baked into the system, ironically because of Trump's initial handling of the pandemic and falling for the lockdown scam. Regardless, the rejection of Biden by a growing number of Democrats, some even recognizing it as the party and not just the celeriac-in-chief thanks to the disaster of an economy and all the other disasters over the past three years, and the potentially camel-back-breaking-straw of in your face Jew-hatred, a change is going to come. Rigged elections or not.

It's almost too many waterfalls. Funny voice-overs for dogs. Movie night. If the world was run by pandas, we wouldn't have any wars! We'd also all be dead. Cat burglar. Say, that sparks a memory: I used to like a movie when I was a kid, which probably was actually terrible, called The Thief Who Came to Dinner with Ryan O'Neal playing some kind of white collar drudge who realizes the whole system is corrupt so he becomes a daring cat burglar. (Every third movie in the 70s had this plot.) I believe it costarred the woman I grew up in love with, Jacqueline Bisset. Anyway: It's not available digitally. I could probably by an old physical copy. So my question is: Has anyone seen this movie as an adult, and is it any good? When I was a kid, I loved every cat burglar movie (including one of the Pink Panther sequels; any burglary that includes a crossbow was very much a hit with the younger me). But I have no idea if it actually was good at all, or if I was just a kid easily impressed with the most basic "tradecraft" of burglary. I imagine kids in the 90s thought that crossing a floor of dancing lasers was really really cool, at least the first 537 times they saw it. Anyway, let me know. I want to see that movie. (I think.) Update: I've found clips on YouTube. It... it does not look good. Some good bongo playing in the very-seventies credits. Speaking of Jacqueline Bisset, a few months ago I watched the 80s sex comedy Class. Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy are students at an expensive boarding school (McCarthy's on scholarship), and McCarthy winds up banging Jacqueline Bisset, who turns out to be Rob Lowe's mom. It was... also not great. On the other hand, Heaven Help Us was pretty good, despite not really having an ending that resolved any of the plot points. Okay, back to the cute vids: Dog is given a choice of which waffle to give to the pig, the nice one, or the burned one. He makes the right call. This kind of thing happens in Australia. BREAKING REPORT: Biden busted trying to SNEAK HUNTER into DC on Marine One transport. "Peter Doocy noticed someone hop off the chopper who was not on the passenger list. Hunter Biden is here at the White House after defying the Congressional subpoena."
The left isn't just reading 1984 as an instruction book. It's also reading Harrison Bergeron as How to Destroy Civilization for Dummies Guide. In that Kurt Vonnegut story, schools in the future are obsessed with equality, so if one student is particularly pretty, they make her wear a prosthetic hump to appear less attractive. If a student is smart, he's only given pieces of his textbooks to reduce his advantage. If a student is fast, he's made to race in leaden shoes to keep things fair in track events. The left is just absolutely determined to destroy gifted and talented programs and magnet schools that select based on performance. Hell, they even want to end the system of "tracking," which is just dividing a class into 2-3 levels of ability so that different groups can work at different speeds, and you can give the slow kids the remedial teaching they need but which the other kids do not. They find tracking violates principles of "equity" and is "racist." Of course. And Chicago's Brandon Johnson just bowed to the Radical Racists and scrapped all gifted schools. Not enough blacks get into those programs, so, obviously, the problem is racism. I can think of no other reasons for the disparity, and neither can you, otherwise you will be fired and de-banked. Anyone think that performance of black students is going to improve now that Chicago is acting to hamstring white and Asian student?
Insider Paper
@TheInsiderPaper BREAKING: Fox News reports that Hunter Biden is currently at the White House after being spotted exiting Marine One. Hunter was not on the White House's passenger manifest, Fox report says
Choice, selective schools perpetuate 'inequity,' says Chicago mayor, school board "Equality in misery" is the new plan for Chicago Public Schools, writes Paul Vallas, who lost the race for mayor to Brandon Johnson, a former teachers' union organizer. "Chain students to a failing school system by ending the state private school scholarship program & dismantling public charter & magnet high schools," writes Vallas, former CEO of the district, on X. "Poor families will suffer most."Oh. We're going to replace actual education with more post-George-Floyd "anti-racist processes," also known as Straight-Up Hardcore Racism. Jonathan Turley:
Chicago's high-performing selective-admissions high schools, magnet schools and other forms of choice reinforce "cycles of inequity" and must be replaced with "anti-racist processes and initiatives that eliminate all forms of racial oppression," the Chicago Public Schools board has resolved.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Board of Education are following the lead of other major cities and eliminating gifted school programs in the name of achieving greater racial and social "equity." Eleven "high-achieving selective-enrollment schools" will be eliminated, according to Chicago Board of Education CEO Pedro Martinez, to reduce "stratification and inequity." As we have previously discussed, major cities with failing public education programs are erasing performance gaps in their schools by decapitating the top performers rather than elevating the performance overall. Other schools have also eliminated or lowered proficiency standards to achieve higher passage rates.According to the Daily Mail, the Board will vote today on the Mayor's plan with the support of the president. The Chicago Tribune blasted Johnson in an editorial for reneging on a campaign promise not to abolish the selective schools.Oh a leftwing Democrat lied to get elected? Good thing I was sitting down when I read that.
As previously discussed, school boards and teacher unions have long treated parents as unwelcome interlopers in their children’s education. That view was captured in the comment of Iowa school board member Rachel Wall, who said: "The purpose of a public ed is to not teach kids what the parents want. It is to teach them what society needs them to know. The client is not the parent, but the community." State Rep. Lee Snodgrass (D-Wis.) tweeted: "If parents want to 'have a say' in their child's education, they should home school or pay for private school tuition out of their family budget." Parents who question unpopular policies are often treated as extremists. Michelle Leete, vice president of training at the Virginia PTA and vice president of communications for the Fairfax County PTA, said parents would not force them to reverse their agenda: "Let them die. Don't let these uncomfortable people deter us from our bold march forward."Chairman Mao was most impressed by your revolutionary fervor, Comrade!
Teachers and boards are killing the institution of public education by treating children and parents more like captives than consumers. They are force-feeding social and political priorities, including passes for engaging in approved protests.
As I've mentioned before, these kind of magnet schools keep parents who have good middle class incomes in the city. If you take away these schools, you force them to flee the city completely, because while they have solid incomes and help the city tax base, they are not wealthy enough to both pay the sky-high Blue Taxes and also send their kids to private schools. More and more middle income white and Asian people are fleeing the cities. "White flight," the will call it, portraying these people as racist. No, you motherfucking civilizational razers: You went to war against their fucking children for the sake of your sick ideology and that was one sacrifice to the Gods of the Left they were unwilling to make. Once the cities have deliberately hollowed out their entire tax base (except for some billionaires who keep pied-a-terres in the city), don't worry, all the big blue cities will put their hands out to demand that you subsidize them some more. They won't like losing the ability to tax the White Supremacists (including Asian White Supremacists) who fled their hell-holes, so they'll call on the US government to tax its citizens to continue propping up their catastrophic civilizational destruction. @hoovlet Eloquent and heartbreaking. From Harvard Law Professor Mark Ramseyer's email to a Harvard list (with permission). I came for my PhD in '99, he came as a prof in '98. We were each publicly attacked for our views in '21. "Harvard is a vastly less tolerant place than it was when I arrived in 1998. The intolerance is a function of an increasingly large fraction of our colleagues. And we -- the rest of us on the Harvard faculty -- let it happen. The cancelling, the punishments, the DEI bureaucracy, the DEI statements, the endless list that we could all recite -- all this happened on our watch. We saw it happen, but we did nothing. We were too busy. We were scared to speak up. We -- we on the faculty -- let Harvard become what it is. The Harvard that we have is the result of our own collective moral failure. The alumni who are furious are not trying to turn Harvard into something we do not want. They are trying to rescue Harvard from what we let it become. We as a faculty failed. That is why the alumni are speaking up. That is why we formed the Council on Academic Freedom in the first place." @cafharvard @sapinker
Alec Baldwin got into a shouting match with Hamas sympathizing protesters because they both come from Cultures of Public Shouting. "Protesters" have once again taken over swaths of a city in order to delay, inconvenience, bully, and threaten citizens, and the corrupt Regime allows them to do this.
Alec Baldwin was berated by anti-Israel protesters on Monday evening after hundreds of agitators flooded into Penn Station and Grand Central Station during a fiery demonstration where they told Israel to "go to hell." The irate "30 Rock" star jawed out the protesters who told him he has "no f--king shame" and belittled his "tanking" career while hundreds descended on the major Big Apple transit hubs during the protest opposing Israel's military campaign in Gaza against Hamas. Baldwin was walking by the demonstration near West 29th Street when protesters spotted him and darted toward him, accusing him of supporting Israel. NYPD officers needed to escort the actor. Baldwin had no problem shouting back at them but was quickly met with the ire of the protesters. "Shut your f--king mouth, you have no f--king shame," one man shouted back at Baldwin. "Go f--k yourself," the man yelled. "You ask stupid questions," Baldwin could be heard telling one of the rabble-rousers. "Ask me a smart question, and I'll answer your question."The crowd dispersed when Baldwin announced he would rehearse a scene from Dust and drew a 45 caliber Colt.

A junior-level legislative aide who was fired after a video surfaced showing him and another person having sex in a Congressional office building had been warned at least once about his risqué social media postings, The Desk has learned. In November, Senator Ben Cardin's Chief of Staff Chris Lynch promoted U.C. Berkeley graduate Aidan Maese-Czeropski from his entry-level aide job while simultaneously warning the 23-year-old to stop posting nude and seminude photographs to his public Instagram page, according to a person familiar with the situation. Maese-Czeropski affirmed the warning in a now-deleted story posted to his Instagram page, in which he said the "chief of staff just promoted me and in the same breath suggested I tone down my social media." For about two weeks, Maese-Czeropski relegated most of his revealing posts to a "Close Friends" feed, where he posted nude photographs of himself while working from home and while traveling to Las Vegas and other places, according to a source within Senator Cardin's office who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to speak with reporters without permission. He began posting publicly again earlier this month, where his unclothed photographs were available to more than 1,000 followers, including some who worked with Maese-Czeropski in the U.S. Senate, the source said. Maese-Czeropski's Instagram page was "something of an open secret" within Senator Cardin's office, the source affirmed, adding that it was "generally known" that some of Maese-Czeropski's posts connected him to his Senate job. One month before his promotion, Maese-Czeropski posted that he was "waiting for Lindsey Graham in the work showers," referencing the Republican U.S. Senator from South Carolina. In another, Maese-Czeropski wrote that he was "trying to resist the urge to suck on Representative [Eric] Sorensen's gorgeous fingers" while seated near to the openly-gay Congressman at a luncheon. Despite the questionable posts, few within Senator Cardin's office felt there was much they could do about Maese-Czeropski's social media activity, with Lynch telling one staffer that the posts were "made on a personal account" and that the office "didn't want to come across as impeding on the personal expression of an openly-gay staffer," the source said.Yeah. Just like the world had to shut down for covid, but gays didn't even have to lay off orgies with completely random strangers to stop the spread of monkeypox which they were nigh-solely spreading. Gays cannot be challenged or disciplined for any reason. They can only be Affirmed and Celebrated for their choices at all times by all people. Someone remarked that this guy is exactly what you get when you do nothing but treat gay kids differently -- treat them as delicate flowers which must always be affirmed and attended to. This guy on Twitter (I think) remarked this fucking lunatic didn't even realize that filming and publishing a video of him getting buttf***ed by a random German in the well of the Senate could possibly be wrong, because not a single time in his soft sheltered Gay Bubble life was he ever told that gays sometimes do things that aren't worthy of praise and celebration. And certainly he was never told that sometimes, they do things that are worthy of scorn, opprobrium, and official consequences.

From Beege Wellborn at Hot Air, if you didn't believe our last unbelievable horseshit, would you perhaps try our new and improved unbelievable horseshit?
President Biden's reluctance to acknowledge his physical limitations at age 81 is causing some tension on his team, as senior aides and First Lady Jill Biden push him to rest more and be vigilant about his health going into 2024. Why it matters: Current and former aides say Biden is extraordinarily energetic for his age.
Why, look at the engine on this speedy silver racecar!
But his repeated insistence that he feels so young can draw eye rolls: Some current and former aides believe Biden doesn't realize how old he can come across. In conversations with aides and friends, Biden frequently says some version of: "I feel so much younger than my age."I mean, if you look it up on the actuarial tables, I think his age is "deceased" so I guess yeah, he feels a little more spry that that. Now, if this hasn't been unbelievable enough so far, Axios is going to try to sell you that Basement Biden really, really, really wants to travel and campaign and not spend every fucking (Thursday to Sunday) weekend at his beach house on vacation. The President of the United States (citation needed) just wants to be out there workin' hard, but his underlings just won't let him!
Zoom in: Current and former Biden aides say he often pushes to do more travel and events than they think he should. Biden pushing up against his limits sometimes creates a cycle in which he wears himself out, then appears fatigued during public events -- which can increase concerns about his age, even when he's taking on a rigorous schedule. "He is his own worst enemy when it comes to his schedule," a former Biden aide said.Joe Biden's schedule consists, almost every day -- and I check it out from time to time -- of sitting in a comfortable chair while someone reads bullet points from the Presidential Daily Briefing, and one -- 1 -- single solitary public event. That's Biden's hectic, demanding schedule, day-in, day-out: Nap-listening to a briefing, and hanging a fucking medal around someone's neck. And then back to Reheboth. But oh! You gotta know, he only "appears" fatigued because this magnificent candle is burning himself at both ends! Joe "Kid Dynamite" Biden He gets more done in a week than you get done by Monday 9:07 am.
Doctor Jill is on the case:
... "Joe's working too hard," Jill would tell Biden's then-chief of staff, Steve Ricchetti, Joe Biden recalled in his memoir, "Promise Me, Dad." "He's exhausted. He's not sleeping. It's going to kill him." Biden wrote that "the two of them would conspire to get me to ease off for a while."And they're forcing Biden to take a Weekly Vacation. If he had his way, why, he'd actually be working a whole 25 hours per week instead of his customary 12!
Jill's influence on the president's calendar is unusual but has some precedent. Nancy Reagan would closely watch Ronald Reagan's schedule -- even occasionally consulting an astrologist.Axios is really straining to paint this as common. And to also get in a dig about Nancy Reagan's astrology. Joe Biden is actually much older than Reagan was, however. Joe Biden was as old when he assumed office as Reagan was when he left it. Update: Joe Mannix wonders why they didn't compare Biden to another frail, ailing Democrat:
Notice that they didn't mention Woodrow Wilson's wife running the whole show while her husband was essentially a vegetable. I wonder why.
They are all On-Message, just repeating the same Talking Point to death. Not even Axios can fail to pick on the subtle message they're conveying.
Ted Kaufman, Biden's longtime friend and another former chief of staff, told Axios: "This is something that Biden's been doing for his whole life -- he always wants to do more."
Some former administration officials think that responding defensively to questions about Biden's age might be satisfying to his fans -- but they say he should acknowledge his age more explicitly to assuage voters' concerns. One former official told Axios: "His age is clearly something voters are worried about, fairly or not, and yelling, 'Nuh-uh' isn't cutting it."Biden's like the Energizer Bunny! Speaking of bunnies:

We're finally going to see who The Regime has been fighting to protect for decades.
Nothing will happen to them. The Regime's power is too strong. But at least we'll know who's on The Regime's pad.Over 170 of Jeffrey Epstein's high-profile associates will be NAMED in court documents set to be unsealed in the first days of 2024 A judge has ruled to unseal documents that would name 177 Does who are Epstein's friends, recruiters and victims within the coming weeks The material is related to a defamation case brought by Prince Andrew's accuser Virginia Roberts in New York against Epstein's madam Ghislaine Maxwell The hundreds of files will shed new light on the late financier's sex trafficking operation and his network of influence Dozens of Jeffrey Epstein's high profile associates are in for a New Year's surprise as they will be named in court documents set to be released in the first days of 2024. The pedophile's powerful friends are set to be exposed as part of a vast unsealing that a judge ordered on Monday will take place in 14 days. That will take the release day to January 1 – but as that is a holiday it is likely the files will be made public the following day.Smells like juicy blog content to me on January 2nd. Oh wait, JJ will get it first. Curses.
Some 177 people will be identified across hundreds of files which will shed new light on the late financier's sex trafficking operation and his network of influence.I hope that does not account for many of the names. I hope we won't be exposing the working class people while protecting the wealthy and powerful, as usual.
Judge Loretta Preska wrote 'unsealed in full' next to the names of 177 Does who are Epstein's friends, recruiters, victims and others whose names will be revealed when the material is released within the coming weeks. ... Some of the Does are identified in the ruling through links to interviews they have given to the media, which the judge cited as a reason why they should not stay private. They include the housekeepers on Epstein's private island in the Caribbean where some of the worst abuse that he perpetrated was carried out.
In her ruling Judge Preska gave 14 days for any Does who objected to their documents being made public to object, after which they would be unsealed.Ay. Here's the hitch: Members of The Regime get to lobby an agent of The Regime to keep their names secret.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill making Texas the first state in the union to give law enforcement officers the authority to arrest migrants who illegally enter the state. The measure, SB 4, was signed into law on Monday during a ceremony at the base of the border wall in Brownsville, Texas. The bill is part of a package of measures designed to decrease the flow of migrants entering the state from Mexico. The Texas Legislature passed the bills during two special sessions this fall. ... Senate Bill 4 from Special Session #4 makes illegal entry into Texas from a foreign country a criminal offense. The law is the latest attempt by the state to crack down on migrants illegally entering the state between ports of entry. By creating the offense of illegal reentry, offenders can be penalized with sentences of up to 20 years in prison. It also provides the mechanism to order an offender to return to the foreign nation from which they entered or attempted to enter this state. The law provides civil immunity and indemnification for local and state government officials, employees, and contractors for lawsuits resulting from enforcing these provisions. This is an interesting legal problem. Biden will sue Texas, claiming that Texas has no right to make its own law in this area, because the federal government has a special, constitutionally-granted power to make law affecting the border and a state cannot contradict the laws set forth by the federal government. But... does this state law contradict the federal law? There is a federal law against illegally entering the country -- Biden is just ignoring that law. Now, maybe state law has to yield to federal law, but state law doesn't have to yield to a president's mere policy of ignoring a federal law on the books. But I think this law might fall, because the Texas law is different than the federal law. The federal law begins as a misdemeanor for first offense, then becomes a felony with the second offense. The Texas law is a major felony on the first offense. I'm afraid that Biden will argue that this law is superseded by federal law and it will be struck down. However, as a back-up, Texas can pass a law criminalizing illegal entry that substantially tracks with the federal law. Then Biden cannot argue that Texas is attempting to supersede superior federal law. Then, Texas will have the power to enforce the law that the Biden Administration has chosen not to enforce. And what will a court say then? That a president's lawless decision to ignore the standing law of the US also trumps state law? I don't think so. Maybe they'll get lucky and get a Hawaiian judge to agree to such a rule, but an the Fifth Circuit apcourt won't bless that.
The law is similar to a current federal statute under Title 8 of the United States Code 1325, which makes illegal entry into the United States a misdemeanor offense for a first-time offender and a felony for a second offense. Under the current administration, the federal statute is not pursued to any significant degree. Also similar to proceedings carried out under federal law, migrants may agree to return to their home country as part of sentencing agreements. The process in federal courts is known as Stipulated Deportation, where a previously deported migrant waives his right to a separate immigration hearing and agrees to removal as part of the sentencing process.

Wolfus Aurelius writes:
These four social media influencers were swept up by a movement that claims obesity is perfectly healthy... The tragic truth is they have all died under the age of 45 Last week MoS investigated America's Fat Pride culture war 'battleground' Influencers such as 31-stone Brittany Sauer have tragically lost their lives By Jo Macfarlane
The final videos posted to Brittany Sauer's TikTok page make for upsetting viewing. Speaking tearfully to the camera, the 31-stone social media star, who often posted defiantly 'body-positive' content about how 'hot' she felt in certain outfits, admitted with shocking candour that she had 'ruined her life' with food and binge eating.
1 One "stone" is 14 lbs. This 31-stone woman weighed 434 pounds.A very overweight gal, then.
And it had left her, aged just 28, full of regrets. Brittany had been a virtual prisoner in her own home for two years, dealing with type 2 diabetes and repeated bouts of the skin infection cellulitis which had caused a growth in her pelvis weighing more than two stone. She had even been forced to ask someone else to cut her toenails, as it left her 'too breathless'. Yet she hoped, desperately, that it wasn't too late to save herself. 'I'm scared I'm going to end up in a bad place that my body can't recover from,' she said to her half-a-million TikTok followers. 'I want you to know it's not worth it -- food isn't worth your life.' Within a week of posting the film last December, Brittany was dead. Her death turns a spotlight on the controversial body positivity and 'fat acceptance' movements that have seduced Brittany and millions of vulnerable young people like her. The past decade has seen extraordinary momentum building around a central argument that being obese doesn't have to mean unhealthy. In other words, you can be fat and fit. Branded Health At Every Size, or HAES, the philosophy has, at its heart, laudable goals. It aims to counter the multi-billion-dollar diet industry -- which has a poor record when it comes to long-term, sustainable weight loss -- and act as an antidote to the stigma encountered by people struggling with their weight.... The US edition of Cosmopolitan magazine was criticised for running covers featuring plus-size women in yoga poses under the headline: 'This is healthy.' As part of a drive to challenge beauty stereotypes, it also featured US plus-size model Tess Holliday -- who at 5ft 3in and 300lb has a BMI of 53, more than double the healthy range -- a decision condemned 'as dangerous and misguided'. Self-styled 'fat activists', meanwhile, not only promote larger bodies as healthy but reject decades of science which prove the dangers of excess body fat, encouraging devotees to ignore doctors who recommend they lose weight.... One organisation, HAES UK, described weight-loss surgery as 'mutilating body parts' and 'not compatible with loving your body as it is'. And those who criticise it are labelled 'fat-phobic' or 'anti-woke'.Sucking out excess fat is mutilating your body but lopping off your penis or breasts is just "affirming who you really are."
The article lists two other fat influencers who died very young. And then:
Little wonder that experts have described the movement as a 'cult'. Some say this so-called 'body positive' approach is also putting vulnerable young people at risk by failing to point out the unpalatable scientific truth: that obesity dramatically increases the risk of a wide range of chronic and life-limiting diseases. In some cases, they say, it could prove attractive to those with binge eating disorders, like US-born Brittany. After all, she is not the only one to lose her life.
A well-known activist, professor of 'fat studies' Dr Cat Pausé, who questioned the links between weight and health, lost her life aged 42. Based at Massey University in New Zealand, she also presented a 'fat positive' radio show.
She had said: 'The science isn't quite as clear cut as we'd like to believe and there's not really quite a consensus yet about the relationship between weight and health. 'Obese people, and even morbidly obese people, have just as good health or better health than someone in the normal weight range.' She died in March 2022 from causes which have not been made public.
... Fat Pride has become a central new battle ground in America's culture war[.] Ms Le Brocq [an obesity researcher] says her encounters with activists have been 'quite cultish -- everyone seems to think and speak the same way, as if they've got a handbook to recite from', adding. 'There's this idea that if you're big you should stay that way, whatever the cost.' ... Dr Asher Larmie, a GP based in Hertfordshire and one of the UK's more public proponents of HAES, believes doctors should not recommend weight loss. Posting to his 14,000 followers on Instagram as @thefatdoctor, he uses slogans such as 'fat and thriving' and 'you do not need to lose weight to improve your health'. However, Dr Larmie does concede that 'people who are fat are more likely to have certain conditions', although he says the evidence does not prove excess fat is the cause. He explains: 'What is more important in driving illness is chronic stress, the impact of repeated dieting, and weight stigma and discrimination which means fat people receive far poorer care.Everything but the fat. It's not the fat that drives obesity related diseases -- it's the stress of society shaming people for being fat, and the metabolic stress of dieting. Oh, and fat people are discriminated against (doctors tell them they should lose weight!) so the fact they get sick and die young is really just due to outdated ideas held by the White Supremacist medical industry.
...What makes fat people happy is often overeating. Should they do more of that, "Doctor"? One thing the HAES cultists do is vigorously monitor their fellow cultists' behavior and shame and bully them if they become non-HAES compliant. Some girls in these social media groups, and some "fat acceptance" influencers, announce that they've been feeling unwell and so they're going to try to shed a bit of weight. Not a lot; few of the people in the "fat acceptance" movement want to be thin (or will admit it, if they do). These are girls who are 60-100 (or more) pounds overweight talking about losing 10-20 pounds, for crying out loud. To see if their sleep improves, or their energy and mood improves, etc. These girls are immediately #Cancelled by the cultists and attacked with as much body-shaming harshness as any fat person has received for being fat. They're always claiming they're "healthy," and the proof they offer for that is that these very obese girls have high hip and leg flexibility. Some can even do splits. And they go: "Look, I'm healthy." Of course, most women have high hip and leg flexibility and most can do a split if they work at it for a few months. So this doesn't prove they're healthy; it merely proves they are biological women with women's open-ish hip attachments. It would be like obese guys saying "Look, I'm healthy, I can bench press 100 pounds." Uh, yes. Virtually anyone can, if not just automatically with no training, then in three or four weeks, tops. But you know -- healthy at any size.
Dr Larmie's approach is not to mention weight or diets at all, and instead find out what might improve an individual's overall wellbeing. 'I find what activity makes them happy and ask them to incorporate more of it in their daily lives, whether that's walking on the beach, gardening or cleaning the house. If they enjoy it, it's sustainable and will keep them moving in the longer term. I'll look at someone's daily diet and work out ways of eating better, but without restrictions.

Potential responses to illegal immigration studied in the report included sensors, cameras, mobile surveillance radars, a pedestrian fence with anti-climb capability, a vehicle fence and the deployment of additional agents. Much of the 225-page report is redacted, but in every single area studied, a pedestrian fence was seen as the "most cost-effective." In several areas, the inspector general recommended a combination of sensors, cameras and radar alongside a pedestrian fence or to have a pedestrian fence with vehicle impediments incorporated, but overall, the most frequent recommendation is simply a pedestrian fence. "The main takeaway from the audit is this: Physical barriers work. They successfully impede illegal traffic into the U.S. and do so at a cost-effective rate. Ultimately, the old adage that 'good fences make good neighbors' holds true," the institute said after publishing the report. "And, the only safe, humane and reasonable approach to deterring unlawful migration across the southern border of the United States is to construct a 'border wall.'"A significant number of the illegal aliens pouring into America simply walk or drive in. No stealthy flights to remote airports, no miles-long tunnels..nothing but feet! So a nice thick and tall wall or fence, designed intelligently to prevent scaling over or digging under will prevent the invasion. Sure...some will get in, but this is a perfect example of the perfect being the enemy of the good. Let's keep 95% of the law-breaking wetbacks out of our country with the simple, inexpensive, and well-understood wall, and then we can concentrate our technological prowess on the remaining 5%. Hell, I'll bet that most of them don't even climb anything...they simply walk past our border guards who have undoubtedly been ordered to stand down. I love this country, but I am outright hostile to the ruling class that seems to think it is theirs to do with what they wish. I hope and pray for a sea change in America's attitude toward them! And if that means lamp posts and lots and lots of rope...so be it.
