This is a small thing but a good thing. The headline said that only one flag is permitted. Regaining Control
One of the open questions and areas of speculation in the run-up to Monday's start of the second Trump Administration has been "how will he accomplish what he wants with the bureaus arrayed against him?" This has certainly been - and it remains - a major question for me. The opening day, however, provides some cause for cautious optimism. In tone and in action so far, President Trump has done some things that I think are very promising.
Over the past eight years, I have been tested and challenged more than any president in our 250 year history, and I've learned a lot along the way the journey to reclaim our republic has not been an easy one that I can tell you.That quote from his inaugural address is an extremely good sign. "I know how you operate, I know your tricks, I know your schemes, and your old playbook ain't gonna work this time" is a promising indicator to say the least.

Edward Lamson Henry For the most part, the subject matter of Edward Lamson Henry’s (1841 - 1919) artwork are mostly scenes of everyday life, generally cheery and humorous, and focusing on a type of nostalgic Americana. In some ways, Henry’s work reminds me of Norman Rockwell. And like Rockwell, although he was known for his merrier pieces, occasionally he dabbled in serious subjects. One of these is The Widower. In The Widower, an old man sits alone in a dark room next to a small table set for tea. The title of the painting already gives us a hint about the mood, but even without it, details scattered throughout the painting communicate loss, loneliness, and memory. A small table set for two sits just off-center and lit by the sunlight streaming through an open window. At one end sits the man with his back to the viewer and shoulders slumped. His bent shoulders make him look tired, possibly from age, but also emotionally. The man doesn’t seem to be doing anything. He just sits there. I see a person alone, lost in thought in a cozy but dark room, and I feel guilty for trespassing on his private moment. A large, empty chair is opposite him at the table. It looks like the wife died very recently. Tea seems to have been a daily ritual for this couple. He read his newspaper, and she sat in her comfy chair and did whatever she did. They enjoyed each other’s company during this quaint, quiet time. In the painting, the table is still set for two but the newspaper is untouched at his feet. He just sits there. Alone. I think the chairs are interesting and reveal some details about the couple. His is small and simple with a straight, hard back while the other is large and looks quite comfortable. The husband seems like a practical, sober, down-to-earth man. He’s not interested in luxury and prefers simplicity. The wife was softer and gentler and balanced out his hard edges. Her chair is positioned straight on at the table implying a direct or open personality. He is positioned sideways, present but maybe a little detached. A dog lies in shadow under the table. Many times in art, a dog can symbolize fidelity and family ties. The animal is also partially covered by the tablecloth and reminds me of a burial shroud. This couple was close. He still loves her but his life is dark now. The light coming through the window shines directly onto the tea setting. This makes the work sadder. The widower took the time to set this table up. He put out a cup and saucer in front of the empty chair. I have heard of people who have lost loved ones who continue routines or keep places just as the deceased left them as a way to hang onto them. I think he’s trying to do something similar here, but, to me, it just enhances the loneliness. The man is silhouetted by the light, emphasizing his pose and mood. Everything else in the room is in darkness. Above the painting’s center is a woman’s portrait. Because of where it is in the painting, I think it’s a portrait of the late wife. The woman in it is posed so that it seems she looks down at the widower. He is also facing the portrait but doesn’t — or can’t — look at it. The longing and loneliness feel raw. Next to the painting is a spent candle. Zooming in, I can see a blackened wick. Snuffed candles have long symbolized lost life or the passage of time. Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Tuesday on CNN’s “OutFront” that President Donald Trump’s pardoning the January 6 protesters was to create a “reserve army of political foot soldiers.” Raskin said, “The question is why? Pardons have generally been used when people are actually innocent or there was some procedural miscarriage of justice. Nobody’s claiming that these people were innocent. We’ve got them on tape, you know, hitting the police officers over the head with pipes and bats and Confederate battle flags and all of that’s been established. Most of them pled guilty. The others have been convicted. There was no procedural miscarriage of justice. On the contrary, they’ve had every benefit of due process.” . . . Raskin added, “So then the question is, why are they being released? Are they being released as a reserve army of political foot soldiers to act on behalf of MAGA and Donald Trump? I think that’s what’s so profoundly troubling to a majority of the American people who rejected the idea of freeing at least the violent criminals and the ones who were convicted of seditious conspiracy, which means conspiracy to overthrow the government.”For this twisted Hades-bound cancerous degenerate to have the unmitgated temerity to spout this is beyond the pale for all that is decent and good. He and his ilk are the actual confederates. Need I remind you that it was the Democrats who were the party of slavery, Jim Crow and Communist anti-American subversion to destroy the Republic in order to seize absolute power for themselves, a mission that they will never back away from. Raskin, his ilk and their ability to ever again be in a position to do what has been done to us every time a Democrat is elected Dog-catcher let alone President (legitimately or as we saw with our own eyes in 2020 and likely in 1960 for those old enough to recall, otherwise). Must be stopped and guarded against, with all our might, lest we consign ourselves to an inevitable destruction should we fail in our resolve. The only violence that occurred in the Capitol on 1/6/21 was caused by FBI plants either agents themselves working undercover or their hired confederates such as this Ray Epps and a BLM leader named John Sullivan (IIRC). Capitol Cop Michael Byrd gunned down unarmed, non-violent Ashli Babbitt in cold blood while a defenseless Roseanne Boyland was choked and stomped to death by other Brownshirts with police badges. And all of those imprisoned and blood-libeled as insurrectionists and rioters were let in by the Capitol Cops and escorted about the building as if they were on a guided tour. All of this was to create a phony Reichstag Fire that they could use and did use as an excuse to persecute Trump. Yet despite all of that, and the perversion of the justice system into a Frankenstein's two-headed monster of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, which are the progenitors of many of the Democrat policies we have suffered under for decades and for sure these past four years. Lest we forget the cadres of terrorists unleashed on America with both the defund the police movement and concomitant decriminalization of crime madness as well as the erasure of our border and the flooding in of millions of third world peasants, among them God knows how many thousands of hardened murderers, rapists, human and drug traffickers that have spilled a river of blood and left a real trail of tears (to swipe a phrase) across a ravaged nation. The blood and suffering is all on the hands of Raskin and his ilk and anyone who went along with it, regardless of political affiliation. Not a peep out of Raskin in protest when Bill Clinton pardoned actual Puerto Rican FALN terrorists as well as this Susan Rosenberg weather underground slag who, unironically enough, went on to teach in a university. Not a peep, except to praise them when Antifa and BLM scum rioted, burned and looted several dozen cities because a criminal died while resisting arrest. And Raskin was undoubtedly cheering wildly during the 2020 summer of love when BLM savages torched St. John's Church near the White House and Trump was rushed to safety for fear he was the next target. And for Jamie Raskin, I say CANCER CURE THYSELF. Before his much deserved roasting in Hell which cannot happen soon enough, I hope he is roasted in front of a congressional hearing for his role in the persecution of Trump and the J6 patriots/political prisoners. With his pardoning by Joey Sponge-bran Shits Pants, he will have to admit his guilt and then no doubt will perjure himself in front of said committee. On another note, among the many fantastic things Trump did yesterday, was the long-overdue striking down of the insane and completely unconstitutional intentional mal-interpretation of the meaning and spirit of the 14th Amendment.
We know exactly what Section 1 of the 14th was aimed at. “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside” was meant to protect the civil rights of freed slaves. It did not mean that anyone who happened to give birth in this country automatically made their kid a citizen, but that’s the absurd premise of birthright citizenship. And the current Trump executive order meant to apply to future children of illegal aliens is being challenged on the basis of the Fourteenth. This battle is almost certainly going to end up in the Supreme Court which should be interesting, though far from an inevitable happy outcome. If you think Neil or Amy are going to vote to eliminate birthright citizenship, well good luck with that. Ideally we should repeal old number fourteen which is probably the sloppiest and messiest of the amendments. If you doubt that, go look up at that list above. Not likely to happen, but a man can dream. There’s no such thing as birthright citizenship. Or any of the other things that Dems keep finding in the 14th Amendment which was not written to do any of these things.Sadly, I fear Daniel Greenfield's trepidations about Neil Al Gor-such and Amy Coney-Island Whitefish to say nothing of Cheap Justice Julia Roberts are well-founded. Their past cowardice to defend the Constitution and willingness to go along in our destruction to get along is as repulsive a reminder of how far we have fallen as the direct actions of diseased turds like Raskin. Meh, enough of the micturating in your corn flakes, as it is indeed Morning in AMERICA!!! Well, regardless Trump sits at the Resolute Desk and we somehow overcame evil and put him there. That said, the Times poll asked about women and not girls specifically. It is possible Democrats would have more nuanced answers based on the age of the children and type of sport.

On President Donald Trump's first day in office, he signed pardons for around 1,500 people charged and arrested in connection with January 6. As of Tuesday morning, journalist Julie Kelly told Steve Bannon that the DC jail housing some of those who had been pardoned is "holding back" on their release. Kelly told Bannon that in the wake of those pardons, "J6ers are gradually being released from federal prisons across the country. Of course, DC gulag is holding out because that's what they do, because this is a political gulag, so they're going to do whatever they can to extend the torment of Trump supporters in custody there." We're here to say we're free and the rest of us need to be freed." One of those who is reportedly being prevented from being released is Rachel Powell. Cynthia Hughes, founder of the Patriot Freedom Project, wrote that she had received a call at 3 am to pick up Powell. She and others went to DC to pick her up, waiting until 4:30 am, but the jail was not releasing her. "They said come back at 7 AM and here it is 10:20 and they are still refusing to release her," Hughes said. Powell had been held at FCI Hazelton in West Virginia but in the DC jail because of a sentencing hearing. "We are in a 98% Democratic district where they hate Trump and his supporters. The officer literally said they had to verify the President's executive order, like WHAT!! This low level broken and corrupt jail needs a thorough investigation immediately," she added. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote in response, "Outrageous!! They're refusing to release J6 prisoners just pardoned by President Trump. There must be very severe accountability for DC if they refuse to comply with the law."
A family member of J6er Jake Lang, likely his fiancée, accused via Lang's X account on Monday evening that he was assaulted by prison guards, handcuffed, and thrown back in his cell while in the process of being released. Lang has been in jail for four years without a trial in inhumane conditions, much of it in solitary confinement. I was subsequently able to reach Lang by text, and he confirmed that the D.C. Gulag was refusing to release some of the J6 prisoners. "The GULAG doesn't want to cough up its hostages!!! After 1465 days, every second is like an eternity!! I'm ready to go home!!! God will deliver!!!" Lang wrote me in his message.
Early Tuesday morning, Lang posted an update: "Hey @elonmusk they are STILL HOLDING me & 20 other J6 Political Prisoners hostage inside the Washington DC Jail Gulag & WONT LET US LEAVE!!!" He reiterated the accusation of assault. "I was swarmed & assaulted by prison officials including Lt. [sic]" Lang addressed Musk because, as noted above, the X owner and Trump administration official had posted the night before to confirm that Trump's executive order did indeed demand the immediate release of all J6 prisoners. But prison guards have been reported laughing at or harassing individuals who showed up to reunite with Jan. 6 prisoners.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition
President Donald Trump on Monday, in one of his first official acts as president, signed an executive order ending birthright citizenship. The executive order clarifies that the federal government does not automatically recognize birthright citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants in the United States. Earlier, Trump acknowledged in comments that the order could be controversial and that he was expecting an imminent legal challenge. Birthright citizenship has been enshrined in the U.S. Constitution since the 1898 Supreme Court case United States v. Wong Kim Ark. Trump said that automatic citizenship was “just ridiculous” and that he believed he was on “good [legal] ground” to change it.That court case doesn't seem to apply to our current problem: possibly millions of anchor babies born in the United States for the express purpose of subverting our immigration law! United States v. Wong Kim Ark is a narrow finding that simply does not address the status of the parents of anchor babies. That question needs to be answered, and the law needs to be clarified by Congress. The obvious answer is that the fruits of an illegal act are also illegal. Can I rob a bank, use the money to buy a house, and keep the house? Can I kill my wife and collect the life insurance? The answer is a resounding "NO!" But the illegal act of the parents confers citizenship? That's nuts. And it gets worse. Once anchor babies reach 21 years old, they can sponsor their parents for citizenship. That seems completely at odds with a plain understanding of the rule of law. I think Americans will support a law that clarifies that the offspring of legal immigrants are citizens, since the pathway from legal immigrant to citizen is clear, and taken by many hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants each year. But the gaming of our system must stop, and hopefully the current anchor babies will be reclassified as illegals and deported. Yes, those wonderful "Dreamers" need to be tossed out and told to get on line like all of the law-abiding folks who want to come to America. Is that mean? Is that cold-hearted? Is that callous? All of the J6 prosecutions are illegitimate, not because the actions of the J6 defendants are all pristine – the vast majority are guilty only of thinking that as part of the People, they had a right to walk through the People’s House – but because they were not treated exactly the same way as those politically aligned with the people persecuting them. And there is no way to undo the taint of the two-tier justice system. There are reports that President Trump will commute sentences to get people out of prison, then follow up with a pardon “process” to evaluate each conviction. No, no, no. Every conviction – every single one, including those by people forced to plead guilty (and they were forced) – is tainted by the actions of the DOJ, the actions of biased judges, and the fact that the venue in DC was manifestly unjust. No J6 conviction can stand. Every conviction was unfair and unjust. . .Leonard Peltier was and remains a terrorist, but as Schlichter correctly notes: "Hey, did you hear about that Trump-loving J6 couple who threw a bomb and permanently injured a cop? He got five years. His wife got no years. Yeah, those J6ers really got off easy. Oh, wait, my mistake. They were not J6 defendants. They were a couple of Antifa scumbags who were mad because conservative commentator Michael Knowles was going to speak about transgender baloney. How many years do you think a J6 defendant would get if he permanently injured a cop with a bomb? About a million. But there’s a vital difference. In any case all the right/wrong heads are exploding not only because of what Trump said but because this time around they and we get the sense that he will do everything he can to make sure he delivers on cleansing the nation of the rot, criminality and degeneracy that have laid us so low these past four years and really a lot longer than that.
. . . The savage cruelty and maliciousness of the corrupt Department of Justice and FBI must be repudiated. President Donald Trump must pardon every single one of their victims. There is no other alternative. There is no compromise. Anything less than a total repudiation of this pogrom validates the unspeakable evil perpetrated upon these patriotic citizens. And that’s not all. President Trump should also apologize to them on behalf of the American people and government, as well as direct the Department of Justice to settle their multimillion-dollar civil rights claims without litigation. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. It all starts with pardoning every single one of them on Day One of the Trump 2.0 administration. Not commuting – commuting implies some validity to the convictions – but pardoning, because prosecutions that are unjust cannot stand in whole or part, and every single one in those kangaroo courts was unjust.
As the SUN RISES, a glorious long awaited sunburst definitely indicates that it is once again morning in America. While the sundowning debasement of Biden is re-interred in its crypt of a Rehoboth DE basement, never to return. But as we all know, evil never rests and in one form or another it too will return. We must be ever vigilant to guard against it. And that means protecting future generations from hearing the siren song of paradise on earth if only they surrender their souls.
Well, the torch has been passed, and no its not from a Guatemalan illegal alien savage who immolated a sleeping subway rider. Please God, we have seen the last of those nightmare scenes.
Oh happy day. God bless the United States of America, Godspeed to President Donald J. Trump, his staff, advisers and all of us who kept the faith. May the black hearts of the Democrats, Globalists, RINOs et al finally feel the warmth of truth and justice that they are willfully or otherwise blind to and be redeemed. He signed a whole lot of things, but I'll leave that to others to cover.
The law is still in effect, and TikTok still has to divest to an owner that isn't covertly at war with pretty much everyone, but they have a little longer to refuse to do so.
