The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

It's the culture, stupid! Or more elegantly, as Andrew Breitbart famously said, "Politics is downstream from culture." And the progressives understand that very well, as they have taken control of most of the levers of American culture! Academia, media, entertainment, and even the national repository of our history: The Smithsonian!

Gone are the days when the Smithsonian was a place where we could celebrate American Exceptionalism, and see for ourselves the grand and glorious country that we have created. It is now a focal point for the left's vicious hatred of America, and its desire to drag us down into the muck of their American Original Sin: slavery. No matter that we fought a civil war in part to end it. No matter that our society was, until recently, pretty much color blind. Never mind that black integration into the larger American society is complete.

No...we must prostrate ourselves in submission to the insanity that our great country is irredeemable, that it is structurally racist, and it must be torn down!

Trump's Smithsonian Counter-Revolution

On March 27, President Trump issued an executive order arguing that there has been a “concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history” and promote a “distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth.” This “revisionist movement” casts American “founding principles and historical milestones in a negative light.” A White House fact sheet calls for “revitalizing key cultural institutions and reversing the spread of divisive ideology.” Vice President JD Vance, a member of the Smithsonian Board of Regents, is tasked with leading the administration’s efforts.

Critics of the executive order responded quickly. They maintain the Trump Administration wants to “whitewash the past and suppress discussion of systemic racism.” The Smithsonian, the critics contend, is led by non-partisan professionals whose aim is to be truthful and inclusive and tell the whole story of America, including groups that have been neglected in the past. Professor David W. Blight of Yale, who is president of the Organization of American Historians (OAH), complained that the executive order is a “laughable thing until you realize what their intent actually is and what they’re doing is trying to erode and then obliterate what we have been writing for a century.”

The purpose of the Smithsonian and other museums is to teach...not to preach a particular perspective, especially when that perspective is antithetical to everything upon which this country is based. We don't need cheerleaders for the 1619 Project and other initiatives that are designed to destroy the very concept of American Exceptionalism and replace it with a miserable devotion to guilt, reparations, and a demeaning view of our country.

But that's what we have in too many museums and cultural institutions, and President Trump is absolutely correct in his efforts to change it. We are owed a certain amount of respect for America by the people who are charged with preserving its history, and men like David Blight (of Yale!) do not deserve that responsibility.

Read the whole article...it is sobering that America Hate is so embedded, but it is tremendously gratifying that President Donald Trump is doing something about it! And I think he has chosen exactly the correct person to spearhead the effort. Vice President Vance is not a child of privilege; he understands how complex our history is. But he also appreciates America, and will bring that attitude to the Smithsonian.

The Morning Report — 4/ 17 /25

JamesRains.jpg

Good morning kids. As you peruse the links, you'll note so many "shocking" headlines that you'll pull a Claude Rains inspector Renault face. Sadly without collecting any winnings from the roulette wheel. Meh, another day ending in "Y."

For example,

The suspect behind an arson attack on the headquarters building of the New Mexico Republican Party and the firebombing of a New Mexico Tesla dealership has been revealed to be an Antifa supporter.

And then we have,

Isra Hirsi, the daughter of "Squad" member Rep. Ilhan (Bro-Fo) Omar (D., Minn.), promoted a fundraiser supporting Mohsen Mahdawi, the Columbia University student activist facing deportation over his support for Hamas.

She's her daughter, she's her niece, she's her daughter and her niece! Meh, forget it, it's Chinatown.

And speaking of immigration fraudsters it turns out the violent bestial criminal illegal alien from El Salvador who must be returned to America or else it'll be the worst stain on our history since 9/11, the Civil War and January 6 combined, is indeed a violent bestial criminal illegal alien:

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed on Wednesday that deported illegal alien and alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia was with two other MS-13 members when he was arrested in 2019, and was found to have  “rolls of cash and drugs” on him. Garcia crossed the border into the United States illegally in 2012 and when he was arrested in 2019, claimed he had to flee El Salvador as a teenager to escape gang violence.

Of course ancient alta cocker communist Bernie Sanders flying all over the place on private jets is no big deal. He is after all using other people's money, so that's not shocking in the least. Ditto Letitia James, the Lavrenty Beria of Tomas Torquemadas, who persecutes innocent people for crimes, real and mostly imagined that she herself is guilty of.

New York’s Democrat Attorney General, Letitia James, is launching a new lawfare campaign against President Donald J. Trump, insinuating potential insider trading instances linked to the White House’s recent pause of reciprocal tariffs. Confirmed to be underway on April 16, the New York AG’s inquiry purports to determine whether Trump or his associates had prior knowledge of the tariff actions, which preceded a significant upturn in the stock market. However, there is mounting speculation that James’s investigation of Trump is meant to distract from her own criminal referral to the Department of Justice (DOJ) over allegations of mortgage fraud.President Trump’s announcement of the tariff pause, to allow bilateral trade negotiations with over 70 nations to take place, was preceded just hours before by two posts on Truth Social where the America First leader stated, “BE COOL! Everything is going to work out well. The USA will be bigger and better than ever before” and “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!! DJT.” The subsequent surge in the financial markets—with several trades logged just before the pause was announced—make up the core of the newest allegations underpinning the lawfare effort.

So, she is under a huge cloud of suspicion for both mortgage fraud and that she claims her primary residence is in Virginia while serving as NY State's AG? Nothing to see here, right folks? But President Trump performing his duties as President in directing national foreign and economic policy and boom, the fake charges go flying.

Funny how scum and vermin like Harry Reid and Malig-Nancy Pelosi start their political careers with net worths of maybe a few hundred thousand dollars and either die or retire worth multiple tens of millions, yet not a peep from anyone about that. Again, not shocking at all.

Moving away from the shockng/not shocking theme, and Speaking of the 9/11 attack,

Al Qaeda boss and 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden spent months living and receiving treatment in Iran, according to a bombshell interview on the Tucker Carlson Show this week. Carlson sat down with former Pennsylvania congressman Curt Weldon (R.), who made the revelations, and also said that nosing around about the issue played a role in his being run out of Congress.

While Iran's involvement had been suspected, if not actually proven, from day one, not to mention the obvious but diplomatically toxic connection to the Saudis, the focus of our attention was Afghanistan and Iraq, and the rest as they say is history.

Considering President Trump's discussions, via his envoy Steve Witkoff, with the Mullahs, as well as Trump's increasingly loud and tough talk vis a vis both their race towards getting the bomb as well as their alliance with Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, this interview raises an eyebrow.

As CBD and I discussed on the latest episode of the podcast (linked here and in the sidebar)

Iran cannot be allowed to acquire nukes for they will no doubt use them against Israel, Western targets and if they could deploy them, against the American mainland itself. That said, getting into a shooting war with them involving American forces is far and away the least desirable option for a whole host of reasons. Blockades and other moves against their infrastructure to say nothing of military action a la the Gulf Wars would only serve to alienate the very put upon Persian people we want and need to do the job of overthrowing the Mullahs, or otherwise assisting in that ultimate result.

And the last thing we need is like what happened in Syria and Afghanistan is to have an even more dark age Islamic totalitarian theocracy than we had since 1979, this time with a populace pissed off at the West and unwilling or unable to liberate itself.

I'd like to think that this whole Witkoff gambit is just some sort of a misdirection play on the part of the President. I would think he knows that it's long past time for the Mullahs to go. My concern is how he intends to pull it off. Despite Marco Rubio's presence, Foggy Bottom and the intelligence and military bureaucracies are still infested with Deep State holdovers and saboteurs who are steeped in anti-American, anti-Israel and anti-western animus yet are charged with developing the tactics and strategies to implement the very policies that they themselves have been working against their entire professional careers.

Obviously, this can be applied to every agency, department and bureau in DC.

Moving on . . . yesterday or the day before there was a report that millions of dollars (and it has got to be a hell of a lot more than that figure) in social security and other benefits were to be reinstated to illegal aliens. While at the same time Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants was wheeled out to shriek out the tired old bromide about Republicans destroying Social Security.

All of this makes my blood boil, over and above its inherent outrageousness, but because it hits too close to home. Someone very close to me has found it impossible to sign up for let alone collect social security as well as sign up for medicare (because of a suspected identity theft that occurred a number of years ago). And yet foreigners here illegally can get all sorts of assistance to get our hard-earned money while bureaucrats and apparatchiks send my dear one on a paper chase for years hoping we die before they are forced to intercede.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

  • Nvidia's RTX 5060 Ti 16GB edition is here and it's eh. (Tom's Hardware)

The other two cards announced today, the 5060 Ti 8GB edition and the 5060 non-Ti, are nowhere to be found.

If you're not using ray tracing, it's about 10% slower than my Radeon 7800 XT and costs about 25% more at retail. Retail prices may settle down eventually, but they haven't been great so far in Nvidia's 5000-series launch.

If you are using ray tracing, it's about 5% faster than my Radeon 7800 XT - but still 25% more expensive.

That retail price places it just 10% cheaper than AMD's new 9070 (non-XT) card, which averages 50% faster at 4k resolution.

It does better at Stable Diffusion (AI image generation) and runs acceptably cool and quiet, but you should definitely wait to see what the Radeon 9060 delivers if you're in the market.

Quick Hits

CNN reports the IRS is preparing to rescind Harvard's tax-exempt status:

The Internal Revenue Service is making plans to rescind the tax-exempt status of Harvard University, according to two sources familiar with the matter, which would be an extraordinary step of retaliation as the Trump administration seeks to turn up pressure on the university that has defied its demands to change its hiring and other practices.

A final decision on rescinding the university's tax exemption is expected soon, the sources said.

Via Ed Morrissey, who notes the Supreme Court voted 8-1 to uphold the stripping of tax-exempt status from Bob Jones University for failing to act in "the public interest" (there, alleged discrimination against non-whites).

Surprise! The leftwing socialist BLM supporter who fire-bombed the residence of the Jewish governor of PA -- not that you'd know that from the media -- turns out to have acted as a terrorist to support the Palestinians.

ABC "News:"

The suspected arsonist who allegedly tried to kill Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro decided to firebomb his official residence because of "what he wants to do to the Palestinian people," according to a search warrant signed by Pennsylvania State Police.

Investigators obtained several warrants as part of the investigation into the early Sunday morning arson attack, including for suspect Cody Balmer's storage unit, electronic devices and parents' home, where he told a Dauphin County judge he had recently been living.

Balmer, 38, targeted Shapiro "based upon perceived injustices to the people of Palestine," one of the warrants said, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

That'll give the New York Times another chance to hide highly-relevant information.

The FBI agent arrested for attempting to take top secret information overseas -- and who tried to frame Giuliani as a Russian agent -- is being defended by Hunter Biden's law firm.

An arrested FBI agent who had publicly alleged Trump ally Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by Russia and who had denied the FBI had mishandled its investigation of Hunter Biden is now represented by a law firm that defended Joe Biden's son.

The agent, Jonathan Buma, who had handled confidential human sources (CHSs) for the bureau and whose home had been raided by the FBI back in 2023, was arrested at JFK Airport in New York City in March for the alleged illegal disclosure of confidential information. He is being prosecuted in California, where he was based as an FBI agent.

Buma, whose previous claims to Congress and the media alleged that he was involved with helping special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into debunked claims of Trump-Russia collusion and who has repeatedly taken aim at Giuliani while defending the bureau's slow walking of the Hunter Biden investigation, is now being defended by a high-profile law firm that defended Joe Biden's son and attacked the federal investigation into him, Just the News has learned.

Serpentine spinner James Carville tells the progressive wing to leave the Democrat Party.

Democratic strategist James Carville suggested in a Tuesday video that far-left individuals should formally break away from the Democratic Party.

Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, 45% would prefer the Democratic Party become "more moderate," according to Gallup polling published in February. Carville, in a Politicon video, argued that far-left elements are hurting the party's appeal and proposed "a schism" as a possible solution.

"The only thing I'd ask is just don't use the word 'Democratic' in any title that you have, because most Democrats that I know that are running for office don't want your name, don't want you to be part of the deal," Carville said. "Yeah, sure, they would be glad to take your votes. Who wouldn't? Everybody wants to get as many votes as they can. Maybe you come up with your own name."

"And by the way, nothing against -- after the election, we can sit down and do like is done in parliamentary governments or governments around the world," he continued. "You sit down and you say, 'Okay, we want to be part of a governing majority. And we have these things that we want you to do to bring us in.' And we have negotiations and we figure a way that we can live with different parties, different titles, but under the same general philosophical roof."

While Carville said he agrees with most of the "faculty lounge and identity left" policy goals, he drew a line on what he called "pronoun politics."

"I think that if this election did not teach you how damaging that is, I don't think there's anything that I can tell you. And you say, 'This guy is stuck in another century -- not another decade -- and he represents nothing to do with the future of our movement.' I can accept that," he said. "You're not really going to hurt my feelings. So maybe we could have a kind of amicable split here and we go to post in 2026. Because you don't ever run. They never run against a Republican. Okay? All they do is run against other Democrats."

"I don't quite understand why you're so anxious to have the word 'Democrat' in the description of what you do. But maybe we can have an amicable split here and you go your way and we go our way," he continued. "And after the election, we come together and see how much common ground we can find. I know this is of heresy. It's always been -- the Democratic Party has always been the coalition. People said we have to work hard in the coalition."

For instance, the Democratic strategist said he recalls when the party attempted to unite "southern segregationist Democrats" and "more progressive Democrats" under the Democratic label.

"Maybe it's just not worth it anymore ... maybe what I think is that what you are proposing -- which are stupid fucking buttons with jackass pronouns on it -- is something that no one in the country really wants," Carville said. "And in fact, it turns people off and costs us votes."

Carville also asserted during a Thursday podcast that the Democratic Party will no longer choose its candidates based on their gender, race or ethnicity.

"No one gives a shit anymore in the Democratic Party what gender you are, what race you are, what ethnicity you are," he said. "They just want to win."

Moreover, he said during an April 3 discussion that Democratic swing-state senators felt that overcoming their party's brand was their most significant challenge as candidates, particularly noting Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego and Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin, who both were elected in 2024.

"If you talk to, like, Senator Liz Slotkin or Ruben, they'll tell you the hardest thing they had to overcome was a 'D' after their name, okay?" Carville said. "That was the one thing that they had to -- we have created a party for people to run from, not to run on."

Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen Flies to El Salvador to Spring Credibly-Accused MS-13 Gang Member and Domestic Abuser from Prison and Bring Him Back to the US

All of the Democrats are competing to be the nominee in the wide-open race to be the doomed 2028 nominee. They're all engaging in publicity-grubbing stunts, from The Fiercely Heterosexual Cory Booker storing up for his next Pee Party and now to Chris Van Hollen doing the country the service of importing an MS-13 gang member.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country sees day after day after day after day of the Democrat Party showing that they would rather see one thousand dead US citizens than to see one of their illegal alien future voters deported.

Eddie Scary:

All the big problems in America have apparently been solved, so now Democrats, out of the goodness of their hearts, are heading to El Salvador in hopes of being helpful there. If you happen to need any of them, leave a message and they'll get back to you upon their return -- if they can find the time. (Probably not.)

Maryland Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen flew 2,000 miles on Wednesday from Washington, D.C., to San Salvador, arranging a meeting with local and American officials there. Van Hollen isn't facilitating the rescue of a wrongly imprisoned U.S. citizen or engaging in diplomatic relations with a foreign nation. He's literally there conducting a welfare check on a Salvadoran. As in, a foreign national. Not an American.

"I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago," Van Hollen proudly wrote on X, "and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia."

I guess there weren't any actual U.S. citizens in need of Van Hollen's time. If there are, surely they can wait while he addresses the needs of a Salvadoran first.

Please, President Bukele, lock this son-of-a-bitch up.

The foreigner in question is Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the "Maryland father," as the anti-American media are fond of describing him, who was deemed by a court to be an affiliate of a violent Latin gang and was residing in the U.S. illegally. As everyone knows now, thanks to hysterical news coverage, Garcia was recently sent to the now famous terrorist confinement prison in El Salvador, though a judge had previously ordered that, while he could be deported, he was not to be sent back to his home country out of concern for his safety.

It was an illogical mandate to begin with. If he can't be sent back to where he's from, what other country was expected to volunteer to take him? Why would they?

Now that Van Hollen has trumped his stunt, what's the Fiercely Heterosexual Cory Booker going to do now?

Van Hollen won't be the last Democrat to embark on the holy journey for noncitizens who broke the law by trespassing our borders. Politico on Tuesday reported that New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker is planning a trip, potentially with additional colleagues. Reps. Maxwell Frost of Florida and Robert Garcia of California also said they want to go.

Oh. He's just going to copy his homework.

It is now reported that the wife of the "Maryland father" sought a restraining order against him for domestic violence.

The wife of Kilmar Garcia, a man who was deported from Maryland to his native El Salvador in March 14, has spoken out publicly to ask that he be returned to the US and their family. A GoFundMe crowdsourcing campaign has raised over $165,000. What Jenniefer Vasquez did not mention, however, is that she petitioned for a domestic violence protective order against him in 2021.

Revealing the information about the protective order in a post, Andy Ngo said "The wife of deported suspected gang terrorist Kilmar Abrego Garcia either lied to the court when she petitioned for a domestic violence protective order against him or she is lying now on the GoFundMe claiming he is an excellent husband as over $162K has poured in." The case detail shows that it was brought by Vasquez against Garcia in May 2021 for domestic violence. The case has since been closed. Garcia has been referred to by many media outlets as a "Maryland man" or "Maryland dad."

Per The Chesepeake Today, "Jennifer Vasquez filed for a protective order due to domestic violence from her husband on May 13, 2021, and a final order was issued on June 17, 2021, by Prince George's County District Court Judge LaKeecia Allen. Judge Allen was elevated to the Circuit Court on Aug. 1, 2024, by Maryland Governor Wes Moore. Judge Allen previously served as a prosecutor in the Prince George's State's Attorney's Office."

The Anti-Trump Judge Who Gets All Anti-Trump Lawsuits Assigned to Him to Hold Contempt Hearings Against Trump

Enough of this.

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ruled Wednesday that "probable cause exists" to hold Trump administration officials in criminal contempt after they violated his orders by continuing deportation flights, according to CNN. The ruling follows the Supreme Court determining that Boasberg's court was in an improper venue for the case altogether.

He's still exercising authority over the case that the Supreme Court specifically told him he had no authority -- jurisdiction -- over.

Boasberg halted the administration's use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelans that were allegedly gang members.

...

Boasberg ordered the administration to stop the flights in an oral decree from the bench, but the administration refused on the grounds that it wasn't in his written order.

John Sexton reports that even CNN has problems with this judge continuing to assert his jurisdiction in defiance of the Supreme Court.

CNN legal analyst Steve Vladeck said these moves are rare.

"Holding federal executive branch officials in criminal contempt is just about unheard of, once in a blue moon," said Vladeck, a professor at the University of Georgetown School of Law. "Part of why Chief Judge Boasberg is moving cautiously is because he's trying to walk a tightrope, not letting the government off the hook for its misbehavior, but also not provoking pushback from either the DC Circuit or the Supreme Court."

Sexton continues -- the judge actually acknowledged he had no jurisdiction in the case, but then asserted that Trump needs to Respec My Authoritah anyway:

Early on in his 46-page decision, Boasberg acknowledges that the Supreme Court already vacated his temporary restraining order. How then can the Trump administration be held in contempt for something that was already dismissed by a higher court?

One might nonetheless ask how this inquiry into compliance is able to proceed at all given that the Supreme Court vacated the TRO after the events in question. That Court's later determination that the TRO suffered from a legal defect, however, does not excuse the Government's violation. Instead, it is a foundational legal precept that every judicial order "must be obeyed" -- no matter how "erroneous" it "may be" -- until a court reverses it. If a party chooses to disobey the order -- rather than wait for it to be reversed through the judicial process -- such disobedience is punishable as contempt, notwithstanding any later-revealed deficiencies in the order...

So that's his argument. It doesn't matter that his TRO was wrong, it matters that the administration didn't obey it before it was vacated. From there, Boasberg eventually gets to the payoff, which is that he's giving the administration a week to "purge" its contempt, something it can do by obeying the TRO which the Supreme Court has already vacated.

At some point, Trump has to deploy the nuclear option and just declare he will not submit to this judge's authority, and if any higher court orders him to submit to this judge, then he will ignore that court's authority going forward as well.

The New York Times Hides the Socialist Party Registration of the Pennsylvania Governor's Mansion Arsonist from Its Readers

arsonistmakesfaces.jpg
Pic from the New York Post

Whoops. One of those inadvertent omissions, I'm sure.

While Balmer's Facebook profile also reportedly contains posts and comments lauding the Black Lives Matter movement and claiming that he's a "registered socialist," The New York Times highlighted posts of his criticizing former President Joe Biden, ignoring ones recognizant of left-leaning politics.

"Mr. Balmer's social media suggested not a particular ideology so much as a deep cynicism, in some posts espousing a libertarian bent bordering on anarchism, in others praising violence. His Facebook posts included rants about big pharma, women and the government," the outlet wrote.

The New York Times did note Balmer exhibited "little sign of any loyalty to any party," but omitted coverage of his posts praising BLM and admitting to socialism.

Some social media users speculated Balmer's apparently self-admitted socialism was simply sarcasm. One such tongue-in-cheek example is a post in which Balmer claimed to have received 27 mail-in ballots.

"The post in which he says he's a socialist, if you actually read it, is clearly sarcastic," Facebook user "Mary Pratt" wrote in response to a post highlighting his apparent confession.

There are, however, other signs pointing towards Balmer's apparent left-leaning radicalism, including a post touting Molotov cocktails, an incendiary device which he allegedly used to set fire to Shapiro's home, according to the complaint. The post displayed a picture of a flaming bottle with the caption, "Be the light you want to see in the world."

While the Molotov cocktail has been used by agitators and protesters linked to both political wings, in recent years it has become a calling card for radical leftists linked with Antifa.

Other left-leaning media figures have also excluded key context surrounding Balmer's apparently left-linked political posts.

"The man being charged with attempted murder, and aggravated arson of Governor Shapiro is Cody Balmer. He has had anti-Biden posts on social media. Another right-wing extremist? MAGA? Hopefully he gets life in prison," left-wing social media creator Ed Krassenstein posted on X.

Trump bought into the first round of first reports, echoing the media's claims that the antifa/BLM arsonist was "just a wackjob" who wasn't attached to either party. I hope he'll be correcting that.

Never, ever believe the media -- about anything.

When I first mentioned this, I assumed this was a failed case of arson, with this antifa/BLM socialist terrorist merely hitting the exterior walls of the mansion with Molotov cocktails.

Nope -- it was serious case of arson. Antifa and BLM have no useful skills, but they are very good at burning buildings.

A Confused Old Man Wanders On To a Stage and Begins Yelling About "Colored Kids"

Biden is back, baby.

Former President Joe Biden referred to black children as "colored kids" Tuesday as he explained what motivated him to get involved in politics during his first public remarks since leaving office.

Biden, 82, used the outdated and offensive term while telling an anecdote about his childhood move from Scranton, Pa., to Wilmington, Del., in which he noted that before his family relocated to The First State, he'd "never seen hardly any black people."

"I was only going in fourth grade," he said as he recalled his mother driving him to Catholic school in Wilmington. "And I remember seeing kids going by, at the time called 'colored kids,' on a bus go by -- they never turned right to go to Claymont High School."

Biden said learning that black children were not allowed to attend public school with white students "sparked my sense of outrage as a kid."

Biden's origin stories have as many variations as the Joker's.

Remember when he was six years old, in 1941 or whenever, and he and his dad saw two guys kissing (in the border state of Delaware) and Biden claims his dad told him that that was what loved looked like?

Biden famously argued against integration in schools when he was an adult serving and voting in Congress.

But sure, he was "outraged" that black kids went to another school in 1946.

...

"Social Security is more than a government program. It's a sacred promise," Biden argued, before accusing Republicans in Congress of wanting to "cut and gut" the program that provides benefits to retired Americans.

"Who the hell do they think they are?" an enraged Biden said before pulling back.

"I will not go further. I'll get in trouble," he said.

He was yelling. As usual.

Remember when we had to endure that? Biden showing his "passion" by yelling like a decrepit lunatic?

...

The speech got off to an awkward start, as Biden took the podium and spoke for several seconds as a Bruce Springsteen track -- his introduction music -- blared in the background, drowning out his opening lines.

When he wrapped up his remarks, a wide-eyed Biden stood at the podium and looked at both ends of the stage before identifying the stairs, pointing at them, and making his exit.

That's my Biden. He's not just cogent -- this is the best version of Biden, mentally, intellectually, that we've ever seen.

The Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency Refers Corrupt NY AG Letitia James to the DOJ for Committing Blantant Mortgage Fraud

Oh frabjous day!

In applying for a mortgage, she claimed a Virginia property was her primary residence, while serving as a NY official.

She did this because mortgages for first (primary) residences are cheaper.

She also apparently claimed that her father was her husband because married couples get breaks on mortgages.

She signed all this. This is fraud, on its face.

New York Attorney General Letitia James was hit with a federal criminal referral for instances of alleged mortgage fraud on Tuesday, according to a letter obtained by The Post.

Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte sent the missive to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche, alleging that James had "falsified records" to get home loans for a property in Virginia that she claimed was her "principal residence" in 2023 -- while still serving as a New York state prosecutor.

That occurred in late August 2023, weeks before James began her civil fraud trial against the Trump Organization for over-inflating the values of many of its properties, which ended in a $454 million judgment.

In February 2001, James also purchased a five-family dwelling in Brooklyn -- but has "consistently misrepresented the same property as only having four units in both building permit applications and numerous mortgage documents and applications," the letter noted.

That fraud was also committed to get better mortgage terms for a four-residence unit.

Pulte attached several documents also showing that James purchased another property with her father as a co-signer -- but falsely listed the pair as "husband and wife" in 1983 and 2000.

"While this was a long time ago, it raises serious concerns about the validity of Ms. James representations on mortgage applications," he wrote.

..

The letter referenced earlier media reports about purportedly falsifying her residence status to get a lower mortgage rate in Virginia and misrepresenting her five-unit residence in Brooklyn, that were first reported by the outlet White Collar Fraud.

James granted power of attorney to Shamice Thompson-Hairston, a relative, to sign an Aug. 17, 2023, document authorizing the purchase of the first property, according to legal filings reported by the outlet.

She secured a $218,780 mortgage to do so.

So she assigned a relative the power of attorney to sign documents on her behalf, so it's her relative signing her name to the fraudulent loan documents.

I call this "intent." And also, intent to compound the fraud through further deception.

Loans secured for the latter property could have reduced her mortgage interest rate by as much as 1% and had lower monthly payments under the federal Home Assistance Modification Program (HAMP) since it was listed as containing just four units, according to Pulte.

"Ms. James, for both properties listed above, appears to have falsified records in order to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms," he told Bondi and Blanche.

That could amount to criminal charges, including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution, among others, Pulte added.

Meanwhile, this nasty Longtime Bachelorette is conjuring new charges against Trump:

The criminal referral dropped the same day James' office confirmed it was preliminarily scrutinizing whether insider trading was in play regarding the 90-day pause President Trump put on "reciprocal" tariffs last week.

Jonathan Turley discussed this case with Laura Ingraham.

I have a dream: A dream where this softball all-star and beefy linebacker gets locked in a cell with Fani Willis and her itchy cooter.

Wednesday Morning Rant

They Can't Be Bad!

It is no secret that the American press hates America, hates the West and hates its culture. Academia, too, in spades. Neither misses any opportunity to explain why we're awful and why those who are not us are never evil, just misunderstood. From the "racist highways" of academia to the "austere religious scholars" of press fame, there is nothing too absurd for the ideologues of press and classroom.

When the two meet, it often results in hilarity. Last week gave us a prime example of this, in the wake of archaeological discoveries in Guatemala. You may have seen the news that years of excavation and research at the site of a Mayan city in that country's Tikal National Park. One of the findings was a sacrificial altar, complete with human remains. Fascinating stuff, in fact, but it is perhaps less amazing than CBS News' treatment of the discovery.

The Morning Report — 4/ 16 /25

BukeleBuka.jpg

Good morning kids. Hope that your Tax day was emotionally if not fiscally bearable for you, and preferably both.

Elsewhere, you'll be shocked to learn that the lunatic who set fire to the Pennsylvania governor's mansion with the governor and family inside on Passover was not a white supremacist Aryan nations MAGA acolyte of Donald Trump.

The suspect accused of setting fire to the Pennsylvania Governor’s mansion over the weekend has identified as  “a registered socialist” and supported the Black Lives Matter movement on social media.

Cody Balmer, 38, is facing attempted murder and arson charges after setting a blaze inside the mansion while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family slept early Sunday morning. Balmer also faces terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated assault charges. . .

. . . When Shapiro was asked if he believed the attack was politically motivated, he responded that it’s “not something [he was] prepared to answer.” Because he frequently criticized Joe Biden on social media, some in the corporate media have sought to link the accused domestic terrorist to the MAGA movement. However, on Facebook, Balmer identified as neither a Republican or Democrat, but as a socialist.

The sicko also allegedly said he would have beaten Shapiro with a hammer if he’d found him during the firebombing attack, according to a criminal complaint. Now Balmer seems like a nutjob, but had he been a nutjob with the wrong politics, we’d never stop hearing about it, but now he’s likely to get a whole lot less attention because he did it for the ‘right reasons.’

A BLM booster and self-identified Socialist? No wonder Shapiro clammed up. And so this story too will be memory-holed faster than you can say Transexual anti-Christian terrorist School Shooter.

And as the Democrats fall all over themselves to demand the return of an admitted MS-13 El Salvadoran criminal gang member whose deportation back to that country is being questioned on essentially legal technicalities. It makes for seemingly good political theatre that the Dems think they can use to ding President Trump, despite that fact that most rational, right-thinking sane Americans agree with his immigration policies.

Leading Democratic lawmakers, spearheaded by Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), are prepared to visit El Salvador to advocate for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an MS-13 gang member deported to the Central American country’s CECOT super-prison by the Trump administration. During a White House visit, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele declared that he would not send Garcia back to the U.S.Van Hollen has formally contacted El Salvador’s ambassador in Washington, requesting a dialogue with President Bukele. The Maryland Democrat announced his intention to monitor Garcia’s condition and negotiate for his release in El Salvador if he is not returned to the U.S. by midweek. Democrat colleagues, including Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) and Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), have expressed readiness to join the potential delegation. The push to bring Garcia back stems from the Trump administration deporting him contrary to a 2019 immigration judge’s order prohibiting his return to El Salvador, due to rival gang members presenting a threat to him. Contradicting media reports presenting Garcia as an “innocent” father, the courts also adjudicated that he was an illegal alien who had failed to demonstrate he was not a danger to Americans at an immigration bond hearing. Additionally, the relevant ruling states that “sufficient” was presented proving Garcia was a gang member, which he had failed to rebut.

And it's leftists who always come to the aid of terrorists and terrorist boosters because they are kindred spirits with essentially the same enemies. Us normal, morally upright, God-fearing Americans.

It was a classic case of the leftist media giving the public a false impression, and of a judge, along with that same media, once again underestimating the Trump administration. The establishment media has been hysterically insisting for weeks now that Khalil was in danger in being deported solely because he expressed views that Trump and his administration disliked. Leftist propagandists — that is, the New York Times, CNN, the Washington Post, and the rest — have been claiming that Khalil is the victim of a dictator-in-the-making who wants to destroy the freedom of speech. . .

. . . After seeing the evidence that the government provided, however, on Friday, Comans did not terminate the case against Khalil. Instead, she ruled that Khalil could indeed be deported. The Associated Press reported that Comans “said at the conclusion of a hearing in Jena that the government’s contention that Khalil’s presence in the United States posed ‘potentially serious foreign policy consequences’ was enough to satisfy requirements for his deportation. Comans said the government had ‘established by clear and convincing evidence that he is removable.’”

As you no doubt expect, this isn’t the end of the matter: “Lawyers for Khalil are expected to appeal. And a federal judge in New Jersey has temporarily barred Khalil’s removal from the country.” Nonetheless, the fact that Comans ruled in the administration’s favor is a massive triumph for Trump in his efforts to restore sanity to immigration policy and remove from the country all those who take advantage of America’s hospitality and generosity to work against its interests.

As I had mentioned, with all of this happening on top of the sturm und drang over Trump's tariff regime, he's still riding high.

President Trump’s job approval rating has surged to its highest number since he was inaugurated in January. Currently, Trump’s job approval rating sits at 54 percent, with only 46 percent disapproving. This ties his all-time high this year (in this poll) and is a five-point boost in approval since late March. . . “For all the events of the past ten days, we find the President’s approval rating unchanged and now at its joint highest ever,” pollster James Johnson told the Daily Mail. “Among the noise and criticism, there does seem to be a simple truth,” Johnson added: “The more coverage there is of Trump’s changes, the more voters reward him for what they see as the pace and purpose that many of them voted for.”

Well, no doubt the Democrat Propaganda complex has just the answer for that one. Break out and dust off the race card!

A GiveSendGo campaign set up for accused murderer Karmelo Anthony has so far reached $430,000, a mind-boggling amount of cash that far surpasses the $350,000 raised for the family of the 17-year-old boy Anthony admitted to stabbing in the heart with a knife during a high school track meet.

But the tens of thousands of donors who contributed to the fund for Anthony’s “legal defense” might be surprised to learn the cash will go to pay for more than just his lawyers.

According to this, Anthony’s father disclosed in court this week that while some of the cash will be used for attorneys to fight the murder charges against his son, a good chunk of it will also be used to buy a new home and “security” for the family amid “racist” threats. . . Anthony, who was originally being held on a $1 million bond, was released earlier this week after a judge lowered his bond to $250,000. He will be confined to his home on an ankle monitor ahead of his next hearing. Anthony is claiming self-defense for why he stabbed and killed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet, over what witnesses said was a seating dispute after Anthony entered Metcalf’s team’s tent and allegedly refused to leave. The incident sparked a verbal altercation between the two and ultimately ended when Anthony pulled a knife from his backpack and stabbed Metcalf in the chest, leaving him to bleed out in the arms of his twin brother before help could arrive.

Well this was of course an understandable act because of "Slavery, and white supremacy!"

If only Al Sharpton wasn't preoccupied with organizing a shakedown of Pepsico and giving credibly accused murderer Joe Scarborough handjobs under the anchor's desk at MSNSDAP while on the air, he'd be there faster than a subway necrophiliac on a downtown A Train to smear feces on this thug's face and reenact Tawana Brawley 2 boogaloo.

Have a great day.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Quick Hits

VDH: China is starting a trade war it is doomed to lose, possibly catastrophically.

No one wants a "trade war" with China, or for that matter with any nation. Nonetheless, China has been waging one for years and is now locked in a tariff recalibration with the Trump administration.

In this American effort to find trade parity and equity, China can do some short-term damage to the U.S., especially in terms of ceasing exports of some pharmaceuticals, phones, and computers. But ultimately, it cannot win--and will eventually lose catastrophically. It will likely accept that reality sooner rather than later.

We are only in the first week of the escalating rhetoric and tariffs. But already China is appealing to its Asian rivals, Australia, and the EU to join in fighting the supposed American bully.

But so far, there are understandably few takers.

An exasperated China is now also running vintage Korean War-era propaganda videos of Mao Zedong bragging about how he was standing up to then-President Dwight Eisenhower.

Does Beijing really believe that airing ossified threats from decades ago--issued by the greatest mass killer in human history to the one U.S. president who warned of the military-industrial complex--is going to win over neutral nations?

Or maybe China thinks calls to Western nations to stop American trade "bullying" will resonate--this, from the greatest trade bully, cheat, and rogue commercial nation in history.

China is running a nearly $1-trillion trade surplus with the world. Its mercantilism is the result of market manipulations, product dumping, asymmetrical tariffs, patent, copyright and technology theft, a corrupt Chinese judicial system, and Western laxity--or what might be mildly called "bullying." The U.S. accounts for about a third of China's trade surplus, with most of the EU and Asian nations accounting for the other two-thirds.

In the past, third-party nations did not appreciate the ends to which China has gone to warp the international trading system. In one sense, unable to address their deficits with China, our friends and neutrals turned to America, where they sought to make up their trade asymmetries by going China-light and running surpluses with the U.S.

However much they criticize the United States, it is unlikely that European and Asian nations will join China--which imposes high tariffs and steals from them--in order to gang up on the U.S., which has tolerated massive trade deficits for decades.

To the degree that the world accepts China as an international commercial rogue nation, it does so out of fear --or, again, on the assumption it can recycle its deficits with Beijing by running surpluses with the vast open American market.

...

The complexities of trade and tariffs present all sorts of minefields. But the Trump administration is beginning to navigate them, and its trajectory is rather simple. In the next 90 days, it will likely conclude trade deals with our allies and third parties that bring either tariff parity or no tariffs at all that will reduce the U.S. trade deficit.

...

For now, Trump should persuade our allies that if they were not so subject to Chinese mercantilism, they would have more flexibility to ensure fair trade with the U.S.

...

If China really does reduce most of its exports to the U.S., America will have to scramble for a year or so to establish new supply chains and some alternate importers of U.S. products. But after a year of gradual dislocation, China will begin to hemorrhage, and then quite suddenly, given the U.S. has almost all the advantages--if it chooses to use them.

One, if it ever comes to a real trade war, remember that nations with the higher tariffs and larger trade surpluses usually lose, given that their economies are far more dependent on mercantile exports and trade imbalances. Psychologically, it is far harder to convince the world of victimhood when tariffs and surpluses illustrate contrived trade aggression.

Two, consensual societies are far more flexible in dealing with external pressures and volatile public opinion. True, Trump must face a midterm election in 18 months. However, Xi Jinping may soon face a third of his export factory workforce unemployed--in a society that has no mechanism for them to vent tensions and objections peacefully.

...

In terms of self-sufficiency, the U.S. is the world's largest oil and gas producer. China has four times America's population but only a third of its oil and gas production. China is desperately trying to catch the U.S. militarily but remains behind in both the quality and quantity of its manpower and munitions. It will take a decade or more to match the U.S. all-nuclear submarine fleet, eleven huge nuclear aircraft carriers, the sophistication and number of 4,000 fighters, bombers, and support aircraft, and the 5,000-6,000 nuclear weapons and the American nuclear triad delivery system.

More Cruel Analysis at the link.

VDH's point about China being susceptible to an energy embargo is interesting. Trump signed an executive order to boost US consumption of the huge amounts of coal it produces.

China is a major purchaser of US coal. To the extent US plants begin burning it for domestic energy production, it hurts China.

U.S. President Donald Trump signed executive orders on Tuesday that aim to boost coal production in his latest action that runs counter to global efforts to curb carbon emissions.

Coal-burning plants generate less than 20% of U.S. electricity, a drop from 50% in 2000, according to the Energy Information Administration, as fracking and other drilling techniques have hiked production of natural gas. Growth in solar and wind power has also cut coal use.

"We're bringing back an industry that was abandoned," Trump said at the White House, standing in front of about three dozen mostly male coal miners wearing hard hats.

"We're going to put the miners back to work," Trump said about a workforce that has sunk to about 40,000 from 70,000 ten years ago.

U.S. electricity demand is rising for the first time in two decades on growth in power-hungry data centers for artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, and cryptocurrencies.

EPA Director Lee Zeldin: Democrats must stop normalizing political violence.

Spoiler alert: They won't. They are prisoners to their most extremist fringes and their most extremist fringes are violent radical paramilitaries like antifa.

And AWFL women who fantasize about political violence and promote it like cowards while keeping their own lily-white hands clean of blood.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin appeared on Fox News Monday to urge "Democrats out of power" to condemn and distance themselves from a growing wave of politically motivated threats and violence.

In 2022, then-Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Zeldin experienced political violence when a shooting occurred just outside his Long Island home while his teenage daughters were inside. During an appearance on "The Ingraham Angle," Zeldin said the climate of political hatred is becoming dangerously normalized.

"There's an attempt right now to try to figure out how to oppose President Trump and the right. There are people out of power right now, and they're flailing. They can't figure out the right names to call, the right tactics to use, and they're getting more and more extreme," Zeldin said. "There's not a more important moment than right now for these Democrats who are out of power to be sending that message that this is from the fringe, zero tolerance, it won't be normalized, and if you are following me, that leader, you make it very clear that this is not welcome in this society in this moment."

Zeldin also urged leaders to reject fringe influences.

"This needs to be treated as the fringe. And there are people who are in politics who have individuals across the country who follow them," Zeldin told host Laura Ingraham when asked about his reaction to the ramped-up violence. "And these people in office have been following those people instead of leading them. This comes from the fringe. It needs to be treated as from the fringe, and it needs to be treated with zero tolerance."

The media is beginning to understand that they are no longer immune to defamation suits.

MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin was forced to scramble Sunday evening to correct a guest's claims that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was a "Russian agent."

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed in 2019 Gabbard was being "groomed" to run as a third-party candidate by Russia, but offered no evidence to back up the assertions. Danielle Moodie-Mills, host of the "Woke AF" podcast, and Mohyeldin had discussed the nomination of former Green Beret Joe Kent as director of the National Counterterrorism Center. (RELATED: Former Dem Rep Tulsi Gabbard Endorses Trump)

"I really hope that alternate universe me is really enjoying, like, a life that is nicer than where we are right now in this hellhole. You know, why are we shocked? She's -- you know, we learned that she was a Russian agent. They celebrated her, you know. So why do we think that?" Moodie-Mills said, prompting Mohyeldin to ask, "We learned that she was a Russian agent?"

"Yes," Moodie-Mills responded, with Mohyeldin asking, "Where did we learn that?"

Gabbard and the former first lady have feuded over foreign policy since 2019, when Gabbard launched a campaign for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 presidential election.

"From Russia. We had it mentioned by Hillary Clinton during her debate. Like, should we look into Tulsi Gabbard?" Moodie-Mills said, with Mohyeldin cutting in with, "Unproven."

"Unproven. Okay, okay," Moodie-Mills said, before Mohyeldin added, "Unproven. Allegation? No, I'm serious. I mean, 'agent' is a very strong word, of a foreign state."

Multiple hosts on the left-leaning corporate network in March had to issue corrections after The Associated Press retracted an article claiming Gabbard described President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin as "very good friends."

MSNBC hosts and guests routinely hyped the claims that Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with the Russian government to defeat Clinton and repeatedly had then-Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, who often made claims about alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia, on the air.

"Very strong allegations. And I don't know anybody else that gets celebrated on Russian television other than, I don't know, Tucker Carlson. Right? Right. And Donald Trump. Right?" Moodie-Mills said. "So, people who don't have allegations about them don't get celebrated in this way."

"But why are we surprised that she would bring in a conspiracy theorist to lead one of the most important jobs and agencies?" Moodie-Mills continued. "But I -- you know, so it a shock? No, it's not. It's just -- it continues to make America dangerous to the world."

Gabbard, deployed to Iraq with the Hawaii National Guard, currently serves in an Army Reserve Civil Affairs unit, according to the Army Times.

A trans "athlete" is now the "women's" world champion in darts for the second year in a row.

Just recently, a transgender athlete (biological male) was "victorious" in a women's darts event that took place in the Netherlands, bringing a second straight championship to Noa-Lynn van Leuven. The competition happened in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), and to make this situation worse, the entity is celebrating van Leuven's "win."

What's funny about the celebration from PDC is the fact that they have comments disabled on their Twitter account, pretty much admitting what they're doing is wrong. They knew they were going to get hit with criticism.

Per the official website of PDC, "the 28-year-old conceded just five legs on her way to Event Nine glory at the Autotron, closing out an emphatic 5-0 victory over Stefanie Lueck to clinch a first Women's Series crown of 2025."

PDC also notes that the "victory marked van Leuven's sixth Women's Series title, which equals the tally of Japanese star Mikuru Suzuki."

What an accomplishment. It's almost as if he is doping with testosterone or something.

Children's skulls found at Aztec pyramid -- and the skeletons of many adult victims -- proving that they practiced child sacrifice en masse, but because "scientists" are just political propagandists and can never say that any non-white race ever committed a single historical sin, they label the practice of beheading children in a blood sacrifice to pagan gods "non-violent."

You and I may look at the practice of human sacrifice to appease the gods as barbaric, but apparently, these archaeologists see the temple as an example of a sophisticated culture whose influence was interwoven with other societies to build a vibrant, kinda, transnationalist community with a rich spiritual life.

[CBS "News:"]

An altar from the Teotihuacan culture, at the pre-Hispanic heart of what became Mexico, was discovered in Tikal National Park in Guatemala, the center of Mayan culture, demonstrating the interaction between the two societies, Guatemala's Culture and Sports Ministry announced this week.

The enormous city-state of Tikal, whose towering temples still stand in the jungle, battled for centuries with the Kaanul dynasty for dominance of the Maya world.

Far to the north in Mexico, just outside present day Mexico City, Teotihuacan -- "the city of the gods" or "the place where men become gods" -- is best known for its twin Temples of the Sun and Moon. It was actually a large city that housed over 100,000 inhabitants and covered around 8 square miles.

The still mysterious city was one of the largest in the world at its peak between 100 B.C. and A.D. 750. But it was abandoned before the rise of the Aztecs in the 14th century.

It's not mere speculation that the temple was used for the sacrifice of children. Skeletons have been unearthed along with the temple, and the practice of human sacrifice survived in the Americas until the evil Christian colonizers wiped it out along with the "civilizations" that practiced it.

Edwin Román, who leads the South Tikal Archaeological Project within the park, said the discovery shows the sociopolitical and cultural interaction between the Maya of Tikal and Teotihuacan's elite between 300 and 500 A.D.

Román said the discovery also reinforces the idea that Tikal was a cosmopolitan center at that time, a place where people visited from other cultures, affirming its importance as a center of cultural convergence.

María Belén Méndez, an archaeologist who was not involved with the project, said the discovery confirms "that there has been an interconnection between both cultures and what their relationships with their gods and celestial bodies was like."

"We see how the issue of sacrifice exists in both cultures. It was a practice; it's not that they were violent, it was their way of connecting with the celestial bodies," she said.

Former Fake President Biden to Return to Public Life, Giving Speech to a Convention for the Disabled

For the disabled? What's that got to do with Biden?

I mean, apart from the dementia.

It's my guess he will talk up his claim of a "childhood stutter," made WITHOUT EVIDENCE. I think his idea is that he's trying to refurbish his ruinous legacy, and attempt to show that he's still on the ball and capable of reading (haltingly) words written for him by someone else. And he'll insinuate that his debate collapse was due to his "stutter."

Former President Joe Biden will deliver a speech Tuesday at a conference in Chicago, marking in his first public appearance since leaving office.

Biden will give a speech to the Advocates, Counselors and Representatives for the Disabled (ACRD), according to a press release from the group.

The conference will be about strengthening and maximizing Social Security.

"We are deeply honored President Biden is making his first public appearance at ACRD's sold-out conference," ACRD Executive Director Rachel Buck said in a statement, according to an NBC News affiliate.

I wonder how much he's being paid.

JusttheNews recently reported that while Biden was talking tough about his son's business partners in the Russian oligarchy, he made sure the Russian oligarchs could still sell their natural gas.

Which, along with oil, must account for 90% of Russia's exports.

While Joe Biden publicly led the charge to punish Russia for its first invasion of Ukraine, he used his role as vice president to quietly open a backdoor for Moscow's gas to flow to its neighbor in fall 2014, at a time when his son Hunter's Ukrainian energy company sought such help, according to government messages in a private email account kept from Americans for more than a decade.

The emails, sent to Joe Biden's private account that used the fake name RobinWare456@gmail.com, were recently turned over by the National Archives, mostly redacted, to Just the News under an open records lawsuit and in unredacted form to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee that continues to investigate corruption concerns surrounding the former first family.

They confirm that Joe Biden played a secret role at a "critical moment" to help secure Russia's willingness to re-open natural gas spigots to Ukraine, a deal that publicly Germany and its then-chancellor, Angela Merkel, received credit for brokering.

"Ukraine gas deal was just signed. The Germans earlier indicated to Tony that your call had come at a critical moment," the vice president's Deputy National Security Advisor Jeffrey Prescott wrote in an Oct. 30, 2014 email to Joe Biden's private account that appears to reference then-Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken, a longtime Biden confident who would later serve as Biden's chief diplomat during the 46th presidency.

"Amos (with an assist here internally from your team) was critical to the endgame," Prescott added, likely referring to Amos Hochstein, one of Biden's trusted advisers at the State Department on energy who later interacted with Hunter Biden on several occasions related to Burisma and Ukraine, Just the News previously reported.

Just six days before this communication, German Chancellor Merkel had called Putin directly, urging him to reach a settlement with Kyiv to resume gas flows before winter, German news site DW reported.

The email sent to Joe Biden's private, fake-name address was handed over to Congress and obtained by Just the News, which was previously given a redacted version by the National Archives.
