On Thursday’s broadcast of MSN[SDAP]’s “Katy Tur[d & DD] Reports,” Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) stated that we “cannot have uncontrolled migration across the border. That is not acceptable. We see that here in New York City.” and “uncontrolled migration does put downward pressure on wages,” but this is the one issue Republicans have against [spurious fraud] President Joe Biden." Himes began by stating that many Republicans “realized that the border is their one remaining political issue against Joe Biden,” and that’s why they don’t want a border deal. In terms of the election, we have nothing to really fear from the Democrats. It's the GOP that is doing everything it can to sabotage Trump and tank 2024 if it can. Not only Trump but try to sabotage GOP candidates, especially MAGA-aligned, in both the Senate and House and hand control of Congress back to the Dems. Later, host Katy Tur asked, “I was speaking to a black Democrat out of Chicago who said that she’s a Democrat, but she’s going to vote Republican because she feels frustrated, infuriated, in fact, with the way Democrats, she says, are handling the border, and the benefits and the help that migrants are getting, help that she says the black community has been asking for for decades and is consistently told there’s no money for. So, she sees an imbalance there, and I’ve heard that from others in various cities. Do Democrats — what is the Democratic response to that voter who says she’s gone?” Himes responded, “Well, I’ve been in politics for a little while now, and you hear a lot of that, on a lot of different issues, we hear it on Israel-Gaza, when people get concerned about a particular issue, they say, this is what I’m going to do in the next election. Now, what’s going to happen is that, in November, I think, it looks like this is going to be the case, we’re going to have Donald Trump, with all that he represented for women’s reproductive rights and for chaos and attacks on democracy, and Joe Biden, you saw the numbers today, 3.3% economic growth. The contrast, you’re not choosing perfection, you’re choosing between two people.”Emphasis mine and is this jag-off for real? Aside from Biden's intentional destruction our border and immigration controls that pose an existential and immediate threat to our national security, economy and whatever the fuck is left of our way of life despite 100 years of Leftism, according to Himes it's essentially a desperate nothing-burger of triviality. And then, he ham-handedly tries to segue first the total bullshit about abortion then the blood-libel of Trump being literally Hitler and complete lie about 3.3% economic growth. That number primarily coming from the governmental sector which includes massive spending on Medicare and Medicaid. That's growth like cancer is a growth. Of course, Katy Tur, with the silent "d" after her name and the screaming DD announcements on your screen, pretended to press him on the "Democratic response" but like all the other good little propagandists on MSNSDAP, her job is just to make him look and sound like the good guy. Newsflash to the Left: it's not working:
It started as a rumbling in Chicago's predominantly black neighborhoods on the city's south and west sides. Black Chicagoans are watching the city spending tens of millions of dollars on newly arrived migrants after years of unmet promises from the Chicago political establishment to black people in the poorest neighborhoods. “All these people, I have supported every one of them,” Cata Truss, a 57-year-old mother on the West Side, says about Mayor Brandon Johnson and his progressive allies. “I was like, ‘Are you freaking kidding me,'" Truss added. She had just found out that the city was going to take over Amundsen Park — what she calls “the crown jewel of the community” — for use by migrants. Chicago prides itself on being a "welcoming city" — just not to black residents. According to The Free Press, "Chicago has greeted nearly 35,000 new arrivals with resources like laundry services, mental health screenings, and $15,000 in rental support per person — all funds that Truss says could’ve gone a long way in Amundsen Park in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, where nearly 28 percent of residents live below the poverty line." Black Chicagoans are no longer trying to hide their resentment. They don't necessarily resent the migrants, although it's hard not to when the city is spending extravagantly on them. They resent the black Democratic establishment for allowing the situation to reach a crisis point with little or no input from neighborhood groups, who are the backbone of the Democratic Party in the city. That's not the half of it. One of the most Democratic cities in the nation is seeing its black politicians booed by angry residents in neighborhoods. The bottom line is that the crisis is leading a sizable number of black Chicagoans to consider sitting the 2024 election out or even voting for Donald Trump. This wouldn't affect the presidential race. Illinois is going to go for Biden no matter what happens with the vote in Chicago, but in statewide races, a falloff in support from black voters could lead to some upsets. And it's not just Chicago seeing black support dwindle for Democrats. If Donald Trump gets even 15% of the black vote, he wins in a landslide. . . . . . “What the Democratic Party doesn’t want black people to hear is that this is a Biden policy,” says J. Darnell Jones, another plaintiff suing the city. “Biden is allowing the borders to remain open.” This resentment that Chicago's black community manifested is not a permanent realignment — yet. But no voter likes to be taken for granted, and black Democrats are reaching a boiling point.Psaki-Psircling back to Himes, there is something alarming in his bullshit about how the GOP doesn't want to cut a deal on the border. At least the seemingly more rational, pro-American non-RINO scumbag traitors and leftist flunkies of the party. Not to beat a dead donkey, but this issue is not just political/electoral dynamite but it can be the opportunity to finally put a major dent in the traditional minority bloc blind support of the Democrats, if not totally cleave them from their political slave-masters. And it's the fucking GOP-e that is sabotaging this as it has sabotaged anyone who has ever posed a threat to their seat at the moneychangers' table that is DC.
Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell conceded defeat on additional Ukraine spending Wednesday night after former President Donald Trump’s decisive victory in New Hampshire. Now the Republican Senate chief is blaming Trump, whom he referred to as “the nominee,” for the destruction of an amnesty bill that Democrats cloaked as border security. “The politics on this have changed,” McConnell told the Republican Senate Conference at a closed-door meeting. “We’re in a quandary.” McConnell wanted to move forward with a deal cut with Democrats to provide more assistance for Ukraine in exchange for stricter immigration measures as border agents remain overwhelmed between San Diego and the southern tip of Texas. The latest framework for the border, however, would have green-lit Biden’s border crisis with the stamp of congressional approval by allowing millions more migrants to enter the United States without expulsion. “I think the border is a very important issue for Donald Trump,” Romney said. “The fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn’t want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is really appalling.” But the border bill only promises to exacerbate the current crisis. The proposed expulsion authority included in the bill would only kick in after 5,000 people crossed the border every day. The provision would allow 1.8 million migrants entry every year. According to the House Judiciary Committee, an estimated 1.7 million “known ‘got-aways'” have escaped apprehension by law enforcement since President Joe Biden took office. Eric Teetsel, the vice president of government relations at the conservative Heritage Foundation, explained on X that the Senate border deal was not “designed to solve the border problem.” “It’s designed to pass the Senate,” Teetsel wrote. “It’s designed that way because it’s tied to the money for Ukraine, which is the actual priority for those involved” . . . . . . “It’s not that they’re bad at negotiation,” said Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at a press conference Wednesday. “It’s that they want this outcome and this outcome is terrible for the American people” . . . . . . Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul complained on “Tucker Carlson Uncensored” that GOP Senate leadership was more interested in securing the border of Ukraine than the United States. “Half of my Republican caucus is, as we speak, ready to sell out, and they’re ready to sell out fake border reform in exchange for what they really want, which is to send more of your tax dollars to Ukraine,” Paul said. Before my eyeballs shoot out of my head like champagne corks, let is compare and contrast what this filthy criminal spouted with that of the other filthy criminal across the aisle: Jim Himes: . . . many Republicans “realized that the border is their one remaining political issue against Joe Biden,” and that’s why they don’t want a border deal. Pee-Air Defecto: “I think the border is a very important issue for Donald Trump,” Romney said. “The fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn’t want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is really appalling.” Two party system, my ass. If I could, I would rip McYertle's arms from their sockets and beat Romney to death with them. Rhetorically speaking, of course. It's bad enough that they're still itching to have us go to war with Russia over Ukraine, arguably the worst kleptocracy on the planet that's already swindled billions from us so as that the Romneys and Pelosis of this country can fatten their stock portfolios. But the $32 trillion dollar question remains:
he lesson I learned was that even your friends can screw you. I also learned that people like to create failure for their opposition when they know they are going to lose. Joe Biden is doing this right now, and what he is doing will most assuredly ail Trump if/when he wins the 2024 election. Biden knows that Trump has a good shot at winning, so the president is using his time left and deliberately pouring syrup into the engine of the White House. Within less than eleven months, and if nothing else goes wrong, Trump, as the newly (re-)elected president, will inherit no less than three wars, a flailing economy, a 34-trillion-dollar federal deficit, high crime rates across the country, a broken Southern border that has spilled at least nine million new people into the country without being vetted, and a Deep State that doesn’t want him to succeed. If that isn’t pancake syrup gutting up an engine, then I don’t know what is. . . . . . This is Trump’s reality. He must not only prepare for the worst, but also be mindful that he is likely surrounded by people who want him to fail. Trump’s team — his inner circle, if you will — must comprise competent members who truly share his vision of remedial care. They must be consumed with but one desire: to get the machine running and to root out the impurities. Javier Milei, the newly elected president of Argentina, has made headlines showing that it is possible to reduce the waste of big government, something Trump did not do in his first term. He needs to make it a top priority this time around. . . . . . The only question is how much the engine has been damaged by President Biden. America is a resilient country. I’d like to believe that no one person can do so much damage to a country as great as ours, but gosh darn it if Biden didn’t try like hell. We don’t yet see the damage under the hood. History will not be kind to Biden’s legacy, and that is why he becomes more dangerous with each passing day. Don’t forget that Biden still has his hands on the levers. Pray he takes more vacations in the coming months and not fewer, and that Trump doesn’t change his mind between now and November. And that bit about his inner circle is his Achilles Heel. At least it was the last go round. Has he learned his lesson? If Tim Scott is his pick for veep, as I fear it might be (Lee Zeldin in a bid to get NY is interesting and not at all illogical, if unlikely to garner the shocker) then there's your answer. Ugh. Be sure to read and comment on my latest effort over at Taki's Magazine. It's a Lieu-Lieu! Have a great weekend.

The attorneys for a RICO defendant have warned the "law" partners of Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq., Attorney-at-Schlong, that they should expect to be subpoenaed in the Fani's Felonious Fanny hearing.
CNN, which is gay and stupid and unprofessional:Trump has also joined the motion demanding that Fani and her Felonious Fanny recuse themselves to spend more time with their Marital Aids. Note: Error deleted and unacknowledged. That's how Disinformation Experts like Ben Collins do it, so that's how I do it, too. NPR is continuing to completely embargo all news about Fani Willis and her Hungry Vaj.
A current and former law partner to Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor leading the 2020 election subversion case in Georgia, have been told to expect a subpoena to testify at a hearing next month on whether he and the district attorney who brought the case should be disqualified over their alleged affair and financial ties, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN. The district attorney, Fani Willis, also is expected to be subpoenaed, sources say, and possibly others in her office. ... In the days since leveling the allegations of the affair in her motion to dismiss the case, Merchant told CNN that she and her team have uncovered more evidence to buttress the claims, including confirming the trips Willis and Wade took were personal vacations, and not work-related business trips. "I think what's relevant is to look at the personal nature of the trips. These are trips that neither Fani nor Nathan got reimbursement for. They didn't get reimbursement through the county, they didn't get reimbursement through her campaign," Merchant said when asked about the nature of the trips.
NPR hasn't reported on the scandal of Fulton County, Georgia DA Fani Willis potentially ruining her election-interference case against Donald Trump by having an affair with her married special prosecutor, who took her on vacations with the money she was paying him. No, they were too busy sounding like State-Run Radio on Thursday night by offering a four-minute press release for Vice President Kamala Harris, who's now "taking a more front-and-center role on addressing gun violence" on the campaign trail. The closest thing to negativity was anchor Juana Summers noting Harris is trying to "court younger voters, who, right now, aren't showing a lot of enthusiasm about voting for President Biden."Hope you enjoyed that -- you paid for it. Against your will, of course. (Biden-style, we call that.) Even an Obama judge is forced to conclude that "DEI trainings," when they devolve into mere racial scapegoating and bullying (which is the entire point of them), can give rise to discrimination and racial harassment lawsuits.
Judge Wendy Beetlestone of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled on Jan. 11 that Professor De Piero had solid grounds to proceed in his race discrimination lawsuit despite Penn State's request for it to be dismissed. Beetlestone said that discussing the "influence of racism on our society does not violate federal law." But when considering whether to allow the professor's suit to progress, she considered the type of CRT training used at Penn State Abington. "Training on concepts such as... critical race theory can contribute positively... to form a healthy and inclusive working environment," she said. "But the way these conversations are carried out in the workplace matters: When employers talk about race -- any race -- with a constant drumbeat of essentialist, deterministic, and negative language, they risk liability under federal law." De Piero "was individually singled out for ridicule and humiliation because of the color of his skin," according to the original lawsuit filed by the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR). When he complained about "the continuous stream of racial insult directed at White faculty," he was told by the director of the Affirmative Action office that "There is a problem with the White race." The administrator went on to say that the professor should attend "antiracist" workshops "until you get it."I continue to be fascinated by this game being played by hateful minority activists in which they attempt to see how hard they can bully the majority population until the majority population decides it's had enough and it's officially time for Backlash (TM). It's like playing the highest-possible-stakes version of Press Your Luck. Nowhammiesnowhammiesnowhammies...
It's an interesting strategy, Cotton, we'll see how that works out for them. I got this from Ed Morrissey, who points out this is the same case we've been discussing here and there for a couple of weeks. This ruling isn't new -- it came out a week or two back -- but FoxNews is just getting to it now. They do report some of the verbiage used in the ruling. (Though, of course, that could be had by anyone looking up the case.) Sad: Hunter Biden sold $1.5 million worth of -- wait, let me check this, this must be a typo -- no, apparently he calls them his "artworks," and the crackhead whoremonger doesn't mean it as a joke -- but that still doesn't cover his "massive debts." Don't worry. His "Sugar Brother" will just launder some more money and clear the rest of those debts himself.
Hunter Biden's artwork has sold for $1.5 million to 10 buyers, but it is still not enough to cover his millions of dollars of debt. Art dealer and gallerist Georges Berges received 40% of the sales while the first son received 60% under their agreement, The Washington Post reported. This means President Joe Biden's son has received about $900,000 for his artwork. The largest art buyer was Hunter Biden's attorney Kevin Morris, who also loaned the first son $5.9 million between 2020 and 2022 for his tax payments and personal expenses. Morris purchased 11 paintings for $875,000 in total.
At least one Democrat is calling on Biden to Go Full Tyrant and nationalize the Texas Guard so that it cannot be used to defend the state and people of Texas.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) is calling on President Biden to take control of the Texas National Guard if the state defies a Supreme Court ruling that allows U.S. Border Patrol officers to take down the border barriers. "Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and create chaos at the border. If Abbott is defying yesterday's Supreme Court ruling, @POTUS needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard now," Castro wrote in a Tuesday post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. The Supreme Court didn't tell Texas to do anything or not do anything -- it issued no orders to Texas. What it did was relieve the federal government of an injunction imposed by the appeals court. The federal government is no longer under court orders. But Texas was under no prior court order, and still isn't.

Boy it sure is important to Democrats to open the borders to millions of new illegal voters.
I guess that's just because they can reliably count on 81 million "Americans" voting for them every election, huh? You know, like they got last time? Right?
The Texas Military Department says it will continue to "hold the line in Shelby Park" in their efforts to "deter and prevent unlawful entry into the State of Texas." Under Operation Lone Star orders from Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas National Guard's actions continue despite a second demand letter from the Department of Homeland Security to release control of the park seized by the State earlier this month. Governor Abbott pledged to continue deploying razor wire along the Rio Grande border with Mexico. "We remain resolute in our actions to secure our border, preserve the rule of law, and protect the sovereignty of our State," TMD officials wrote in a post on X. Shortly after DHS officials issued a second letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton demanding accesses to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, a defiant Governor Abbott posted, "We will continue to deploy this razor wire to repel illegal immigration."
Charlie Kirk
@charliekirk11
Gov. Abbott is being very smart. The Supreme Court didn't actually order Texas to DO anything. The Court gave the Biden Regime permission to do something. Those are two very different things! Texas is simply laying more wire and moving in more resources. Also the court deferred on the majority of the case that is still before the 5th Circuit. Abbott is exploiting this window to rally more governors, more personnel, and to secure the moral high ground. Good for Abbott, good for Texas, good for America. HOLD THE LINE TEXAS!
John Daniel Davidson
@johnddavidson This is correct as far as it goes, but a lot of commentators are missing that we have left the realm of the strictly legal and are in the realm of the political now.
Speaking of: As Governor Abbott issues his "When in the course of Human Events..." notification to the feds, patriotic governors rally around him and pledge their support.
Ron DeSantis
@GovRonDeSantis If the Constitution really made states powerless to defend themselves against an invasion, it wouldn't have been ratified in the first place and Texas would have never joined the union when it did. TX is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it. FL will keep assisting Texas with personnel and assets.
Glenn Youngkin
@GlennYoungkin Virginia stands with Texas. @GregAbbott_TX is doing the job Joe Biden and his border czar refuse to do to secure our border. The Biden administration has turned every state into a border state. We must stop the flow of fentanyl, save lives, and secure our southern border.
Brian Kemp
@BrianKempGA Enough is enough. Our southern border is in crisis thanks to the Biden administration's refusal to do their job. @GregAbbott_TX and the state of Texas have our full support.
Kristi Noem
@KristiNoem .@GregAbbott_TX is exactly right to invoke Texas' constitutional authority to defend itself. The Biden Administration has created a national security crisis and put Americans in danger. Their failure is an unconstitutional dereliction of duty. South Dakota has been proud to help Gov. Abbott's efforts to secure our border.
Governor Greg Gianforte
@GovGianforte Governor @GregAbbott_TX is doing what @POTUS won't. By refusing to act, President Biden is inviting cartels, illegal drugs, and human trafficking into the United States. We must secure the southern border.
GovJeffLandry
@LAGovJeffLandry Louisiana stands with Texas. Enough is enough.
Utah Gov. Spencer J. CoxIn fact, 25 governors have signed a letter in support of Abbott. A quick-and-dirty back-of-the-envelope guestimation tells me that that's half the states. I was in Track 2 in math (as were most other Disinformation Experts), so my expertise in fraction and goesintos is uncontestable.
@GovCox The border is a disaster that continues to spiral out of control, both in terms of people and deadly fentanyl traffic. This is not a partisan issue. This is a national security issue. This is a common sense issue. This is an American issue. Utah thanks Texas and Gov. Abbott for stepping up where the Biden Administration has failed over and over again.
Now even the independent candidate RFK, Jr. has declared support for the letter. Dishonest neocon hag and Town Bike Nikki Haley is also now pretending to support the letter, as she heads into a make-or-break primary in her home state. Donald Trump declared his support, of course.
Marina Medvin
@MarinaMedvin Here is the official letter from the Republican Governors in support of Texas. #IStandWithTexas WASHINGTON, D.C. -- 25 Republican governors released the following joint statement in support of Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Texas' constitutional right to self-defense. The statement comes as the Biden Administration continues to attack Texas and refuses to take action or responsibility for the crisis at the Southern border. "President Biden and his Administration have left Americans and our country completely vulnerable to unprecedented illegal immigration pouring across the Southern border. Instead of upholding the rule of law and securing the border, the Biden Administration has attacked and sued Texas for stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country. "We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally. "The authors of the U.S. Constitution made clear that in times like this, states have a right of self-defense, under Article 4, Section 4 and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. Because the Biden Administration has abdicated its constitutional compact duties to the states, Texas has every legal justification to protect the sovereignty of our states and our nation." Signatories include: Governor Kay Ivey (AL), Governor Mike Dunleavy (AK), Governor Sarah Sanders (AR), Governor Ron DeSantis (FL), Governor Brian Kemp (GA), Governor Brad Little (ID), Governor Eric Holcomb (IN), Governor Kim Reynolds (IA), Governor Jeff Landry (LA), Governor Tate Reeves (MS), Governor Mike Parson (MO), Governor Greg Gianforte (MT), Governor Jim Pillen (NE), Governor Joe Lombardo (NV), Governor Chris Sununu (NH), Governor Doug Burgum (ND), Governor Mike DeWine (OH), Governor Kevin Stitt (OK), Governor Henry McMaster (SC), Governor Kristi Noem (SD), Governor Bill Lee (TN), Governor Spencer Cox (UT), Governor Glenn Youngkin (VA), Governor Jim Justice (WV), and Governor Mark Gordon (WY). ###

How do you replace the lead actress in a movie?
Well, the knuckleheads at the flop factory we know as DEIsney have been wargaming how to reduce the presence of the off-putting, toxic Rachel Ziegler. Their solution? They're writing in a lot of flashback sequences in which a younger, less hostile and alienating actress places a child Snow White. They're hoping that if you like the Child Snow White, that will carry over and you'll also like the unlikeable adult Snow White. The source claims that Disney has hired a young actress to play Snow White as a child. The idea is to cut time out of Zegler's performance, show Snow White as a cute little kid, and soften the character with flashbacks and/or major origin story portion at the beginning of the film. Of course, edits have not begun for these scenes as we believe they're not shot yet, so things could change. That said, if they do go forward with significant cutaways to Snow White as a child, this is a deviation from the original. And, wouldn't you know it, after receiving this information last week, it turns out there are sites reporting that Disney has, indeed, hired a young actress to take the role. And that would mean that they're actively inserting a new childhood-portion of the movie that wasn't originally planned! The new actress, Emilia Faucher, is cute. Is she cute enough to take the hard edges off of woke blowhard Rachel Ziegler? We'll see. WDW_Pro says that the "Snow White" which is depicted in the film as it currently stands is of a "socialist revolutionary" leading a political revolution against... well I'm going to assume the Patriarchy, but I don't know. (I think your Expectations about the witch will be Subverted, and she'll be a fellow victim of the Patriarchy.) Over the weekend, Nelson Peltz began his war to take command of the Bob Iger Company and turn it back into the Walt Disney Company.
"Activist" doesn't mean here "political activist." It means a shareholder who is not content to be passive: an activist investor wants to change direction of the company.
"We will seek the support of shareholders for meaningful change in the Board's composition. It is time to 'Restore the Magic' at Disney." To "restore the magic," Trian Partners called on Disney to target "Netflix-like margins" of 15% to 20%, complete a CEO succession plan and align management pay with performance. Peltz made an appearance on CNBC's "Squawk On The Street" Thursday morning immediately after the proxy filing was released and further explained his firm's push for changes at Disney. "We love Disney and it saddens me that the board didn't welcome me because our goal is just to work with them ... and to help them make the company better," Peltz said on the show. "This board, from Bob [Iger] to every independent director, has underperformed the S&P on every measure: one year, three years, five years, 10 years." This is Peltz's second proxy battle with Disney in the past two years. The activist investor told CNBC the board promised him changes last year and then "things got worse," so he can't continue to give them opportunities.
Peltz also suggested Iger shouldn't have been paid nearly as much as he was in 2023 because company earnings were down, the stock price was down and "everything went bad." Reports from this week showed the Disney CEO's compensation more than doubled last year to $31.6 million. He was paid a base salary of $865,385, stock awards worth $16.1 million, stock option awards of $10 million, performance-based compensation of $2.1 million and $2.48 million in other compensation. "I don't understand what this board is doing. I don't know what they're there for other than friends of Bob [Iger]," Peltz said.
The RestoreTheMagic.com website is back up, and leads with DEIsney's woeful stock performance compared to the S&P and to other media companies. Note the other media companies here are companies DEIsney has specifically chosen to compare itself to.

Soul, a feature-length animated film starring a black character, was released into 1,350 theaters over the Martin Luther King Jr. four-day holiday weekend and grossed exactly -- get ready to laugh -- $557,000. Thats about 25 percent of the projected two million, which makes my heart sing. On Friday, Soul grossed a measly $99 per theater.

Fani Willis' beat-up brokedown busted-out snuzz looks and smells like a fairgrounds after a Phish concert.
She's bringing that sad droopy old meat-tuba in a wheelbarrow. (Style note: A snuzz is the old, brokedown, obese cousin of snizz. Like "Mooseknuckle" is camel toe's ugly older sister.)The judge presiding over this three-ring circus is holding a hearing regarding discussions Fani had with Biden. Mia Cathell:
Fani's Insatiable Thirst for Schlong has gotten her in a lot of trouble.
The judge presiding over former President Donald Trump's "election conspiracy" case in Georgia has scheduled a hearing for Thursday to consider a request for discovery from one of Trump's alleged "co-conspirators," who is seeking access to any records that potentially catch Fulton County prosecutors conspiring with President Joe Biden's White House. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee issued a one-page order on January 17 summoning attorneys for ex-Trump DOJ official Jeffrey B. Clark and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to appear in his Atlanta courtroom at 2 p.m. Thursday. Clark's motion to compel--dated January 12--asked the court to order Willis to turn over any evidence documenting any contact she may have had, citing travel receipts billing the Democrat D.A.'s office a total of $4,000 for two eight-hour meetings (costing $2,000 each) with White House officials. One was a late May 2022 conference in Athens and the other a D.C. "interview" in mid-November of 2022. Both financial statements were filed away under the project title: "Anti-Corruption Special Prosecutor." ... The paper trail was unearthed in Trump co-defendant Michael Roman's bombshell motion to disqualify the D.A. where he accused Willis of having an "improper" and "clandestine" affair with Wade at the time she had hired him to prosecute Trump.
* Edited for clarity.
The proof of contact "may be material to the outcome of the case or helpful to the defense, if it supports an argument that the prosecution of this case is tainted with partisan political objectives coordinated with, suggested or directed by the White House," Clark's lawyers contended in their motion to compel production of documentation. ... Another invoice from the "Law Offices of Darrius 'Sweetdick' Honeycum, Esq.*" shows that he also met with the Democrat-led House Select January 6 Committee in the spring of 2022. Wade's crew traveled to Washington and documented the April 18, 2022, to April 21, 2022, in-person conference as "Team meeting; Conf w/Jan 6; Research legal issues to prep interv" for 24 hours of work totaling $6,000.
J6 committee staff reportedly gave Willis an "early boost," helping "guide" the infantile days of the Georgia Trump probe. The extent of the panel's assistance included helping Fulton County prosecutors prep for interviews with star witnesses and discussing topics that were "later featured prominently" in the indictment against Trump and his associates[.]By the way, Fani Willis is refusing to answer congressional questions:
So when will she be sentenced to four months in prison? Meanwhile:
House Republicans recently called on Willis to disclose her crew's contacts with the J6 committee. Willis refused, claiming the request "violates well-established principles of federalism and separation of powers." She told House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH): "You cannot--and will not--be provided access to any non-public information about this."

Mitt Romney Claims That Anyone Who Opposes Their Sell-Out Treason "Deal" " Does Not Want To Solve the Border Problem"
Republican Sen. Tim Scott says the reaching a deal with Democrats on border security is now "dead on arrival." The South Carolina lawmaker made the comment Wednesday night on Fox News, following Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell reportedly telling member of his conference any agreement with Democrats on border security tied to Ukraine aid could undermine former President Trump's 2024 campaign, which is heavily focused on the crisis at the southern border." "Number one, it's dead on arrival," said Scott, who after dropping out of the 2024 presidential race has back the front-running Trump. "Number two, Democrats prefer the issue than any solution," Scott said on Fox News on Wednesday evening. "Never forget, any issue impacting marginal people they go with problem not with solution."
Every single year, the "Gang of Traitors" proposes the same laundry list: * More money to process illegals faster * Mass amnesty for children brought illegally to the US -- the "dreamers" -- and also the adult dependents of the Dreamers. Chain amnesty! * Work visas for illegals * A "path to citizenship" for illegals We keep telling them we want: * a border wall * more security * more deportations * a sharply narrowed definition of who is permitted to claim "asylum" status, which is how most illegals scheme their way into the country We keep saying the same thing year after year, and the Gang of Traitors says they're finally going to give us border security -- Border security, in these four steps: * More money to process illegals faster * Mass amnesty for children brought illegally to the US -- the "dreamers" -- and also the adult dependents of the Dreamers. Chain amnesty! * Work visas for illegals * A "path to citizenship" for illegals Wait... that's... that's the exact same thing you've "offered" us since 2002... IT'S THE SAME FUCKING "DEAL" EVERY YEAR. DO THEY THINK WE'VE FORGOTTEN THE LAST "DEAL" WHICH WAS EXACTLY LIKE THIS NEW "DEAL"?
Then McConnell lied to us and said we had to take this "deal," because Schumer would never give us such a great "deal" under Trump. In other words: McConnell was claiming that we have to give the Democrats almost their complete laundry list of demands, in exchange for no border wall, no border security, no deportations, and no limitations on "asylum," to preserve our bargaining strength with Schumer in the future. So in the future, now that Schumer has 90% of what he always wanted... what exactly would be his incentive to give the right anything on security? This was McConnell's claim. This was the lie hissed out by this aneurysmic Mephistopheles. McConnell is blaming the bill's failure on Trump -- he's the likely nominee now, so we can't undermine him. DeSantis wanted the border sealed, too. Vivek too. So who was McConnell holding out hope for? Nikki Haley, of course. The Great Off-White Hope.
Jake ShermanThe politics of this haven't changed since 1995. We want you to stop illegals from coming into the country; every "compromise" you propose involves bringing more illegals into the country. We say: "Take money and build a wall." You say: "We'll take your money, and spend it to expedite the asylum hearing process to give illegal aliens passes into the United States for eight years." We say: "We want less illegal immigration." You say: "Would you accept, instead, green cards for all illegals currently in the country?" We say: "We want less chain migration." You say: "Hey, here's a down-the-middle compromise: Would you settle for more chain migration?"
@JakeSherman
MCCONNELL BOWS TO TRUMP ON BORDER Last night, we scooped that MCCONNELL told Republican senators that time had essentially run out on trying to craft a Ukraine-border package. "We dont want to do anything to undermine [Trump]," said McConnell, who can barely utter the former president's name. "The politics on this have changed," McConnell said. TIM SCOTT then was asked about our reporting on Fox and said the border bill is DOA. The bill was being crafted by his 2010 classmate Lankford.
We say: "We want you to deport the illegals." You say: "We've achieved an historic compromise -- we're going to grant legal status to not only all "children" brought here by illegals, but to their adult family members as well." It just never stops. The public, and particularly the GOP voting base to whom you owe your Position of Grift, has been telling you they want you to stop illegal immigration for thirty fucking years, but you just keep producing more "compromises" to make illegal immigration more efficient.
Mark HemingwayMitt Romney claims that these traitors' plans to spend money not on border security but on regularizing the status of illegals so they are permitted both to stay in American and work in America would have "solved the border issue," and claims Trump doesn't want the border issue "solved."
@Heminator I realize Trump and/or GOP infighting is catnip to the press, but it seems painfully obvious McConnell didn't have the votes for what was a terrible border "compromise" and he's deflecting by blaming Trump, knowing the media would fall for this excuse hard.

Jeremy CarlThat is 100% correct. This guy who obviously "does not want to solve the border problem" speaks the truth.
@realJeremyCarl
. @MittRomney will speak at the 2024 Democratic National Convention and endorse Biden. Take it to the bank.

Navarro was convicted of contempt of Congress in September for not complying with a subpoena issued by the January 6th House Select Committee. Navarro's team argued during the sentencing hearing on Thursday that he believed he could not comply with the committee's subpoena due to executive privilege. "When I received that congressional subpoena...I had an honest belief that the privilege had been invoked," Navarro said to US District Judge Amit Mehta, according to The Hill. Mehta scolded Navarro and his legal team during the hearing for blaming the prosecution on politics. "It's unfortunate that the statements mislead. They mislead," Mehta said. "Nancy Pelosi is not responsible for this prosecution; Joe Biden isn't responsible for the prosecution. It's those kinds of statements from someone who knows better... that contributes to why our politics are so divisive."Meanwhile, Merrick's Marauders are demanding 17 years in prison for a J6 hostage who helped officers at the riot.
arah McAbee's husband, a former sheriff's deputy in Tennessee, was incarcerated for 26 months before he was given a trial for his role in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021. "And clearly it wasn't a jury of his peers," McAbee said on the "Vicki McKenna Show," a radio program in Madison, Wisconsin. Ronald McAbee now awaits sentencing after being convicted of five felonies in a D.C. district court. Mr. McAbee had already pled guilty to another felony and a misdemeanor related to the riot, and prosecutors are now asking the judge to give him 14 to 17 years behind bars. Sarah McAbee, however, says her family has become victims of politically weaponized prosecutions of those involved in the Jan. 6 demonstrations. When asked by the radio show's guest host, Federalist Senior Elections Correspondent Matt Kittle, why her husband remains behind bars 29 months later, Sarah blamed the lengthy incarceration on what her husband saw at the riot. "I truly believe it is because he was a law enforcement officer, and he witnessed a murder happen right in front of his eyes," Sarah said. "I believe that's why he was held without bond. He was held 26 months before he even stepped foot in a trial."The left has been beating the shit out of police and lasing them in the eyes for decades. Although I never agreed with the refusal to prosecute these "protesters," I accepted the claim that their violence was associated with free speech, and thus we have to treat it with extreme latitude, otherwise we chill the right to free speech itself. I did accept that. And then some righties engaged in hooligan behavior that was 5% of what antifa and BLM do every riot and the government went after them like the Gestapo. So are we supposed to nod along as BLM and antifa thugs get sentenced to "time served" -- the two days they spent in jail over the weekend -- for throwing bottles filled with their filthy piss at cops? And what about Hunter Biden? What about Eric Holder and the many Democrats who have defied subpeonas? Should they be allowed to breathe free air? No. It is time for actual vengeance. The future of the country depends on it. For we will either have a civil compact, or we will have a civil war. It is necessary to go as hard after the left, throwing them in jail for months and decades at a clip, to insist that this is not a two-tiered society. Because when the left succeeds in making this country a two-tiered society, people go to war. People will not allow themselves to be made into slaves and prisoners by a hostile alien regime.

A group of congressional Republicans, led by Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), introduced a bill on Friday to ban American federal government agencies from giving grants or other taxpayer money to the World Economic Forum (WEF). "Americans need to know that the WEF wants them to only drive an electric vehicle, sell their cars and use car sharing instead, eat bugs to help solve world hunger, and to always operate based on what's good for the 'global public' even when it comes at a detriment to their own lives," Rep. Perry's office told Breitbart News this weekend. The Davoisie are getting backlash for scheming to take away people's coffee and replace it with boiled bugs. I may be speculating about part of that, but their general creed is "What's Worst For Everybody Is Best For Us."
Perry The "Defund Davos Act" is barely a page long and simply prohibits government agencies from funding the WEF. "No funds available to the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development [USAID], or any other department or agency may be used to provide funding for the World Economic Forum," the substantive portion of the bill reads. Joining Rep. Perry in introducing the "Defund Davos Act" on Friday were Reps. Tom Tiffany (R-WI), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Andy Ogles (R-TN), and Matt Rosendale (R-MT).
A video featuring elites at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, discussing how coffee production contributes to climate change infuriated social media users after going viral. X users besieged the comment section of a video featuring Swiss banker Hubert Keller telling a WEF panel last week how much CO2 coffee production puts into the atmosphere, warning that "they're coming for your coffee." In the clip -- which was shared to X on Monday and has since racked up over three million views and many comments -- Keller noted just how many "tonnes" (metric unit equivalent to 2,204 lbs) of CO2 coffee makers put into the atmosphere globally when producing their product. He said, "Basically, the coffee that we all drink emits between 15 and 20 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of coffee. So we should all know that this is -- every time we drink coffee, we are basically putting CO2 into the atmosphere." Keller added, "Most of the coffee plantation -- most of the coffee's produced through monoculture, and monoculture is also affected by climate change. The quality of these nature assets is deteriorating quite rapidly." Elsewhere, the WEF contributor told his fellow panelists about how there is an opportunity to re-organize the coffee industry, which he noted is a "$250 billion market globally" to make it more eco-friendly and to address the fact that "most of coffee growers live below the poverty line." Tech journalist Tim Hinchliffe, who originally posted the clip to the platform, interpreted Keller's points to mean that coffee growers are going to be stripped of their livelihoods by massive corporations. He posted, "They're going after coffee farmers. When he says production is 'fragmented,' he's saying it has yet to be captured by corporations & centralized. The coffee farmers in the globalist-termed 'global south' are to be stripped of their livelihoods in the name of climate justice." Hinchliffe added, "He's putting a guilt-trip on coffee drinkers for supporting poor coffee farmers because they don't know any better in their 'monoculture' endeavors. It's all a power grab to seize land and the means of production to carbon tax you and I to oblivion."

“The Columbia River System and the Lower Snake River Dams are the beating heart of the Pacific Northwest, yet that hasn’t stopped the Biden administration from apparently colluding with special interest groups to lay the groundwork to remove them. We are deeply disturbed by the blatant disregard for the enormous hydropower, irrigation, and navigation benefits these dams provide, as well as a willingness to ignore the voices of those who depend on the dams the most. It’s past time for full transparency from the Biden administration. This hearing will provide an opportunity to expose how its plans will destroy people’s lives in Eastern Washington.”
Failure theater? Possibly, because at this point, anything the Republicans in Congress do should be suspect. But that is one hell of a stern letter, so we should all hope for the best! Here is a sober analysis of the issue, and it pokes holes...lots of salmon-sized holes, in pretty much every argument in favor of destroying these dams (read the whole thing...it's good). There is no replacing the Lower Snake River dams
The clean energy, efficient navigation, recreation and irrigation made possible by the dams are irreplaceable benefits. Amid calls for breaching the four lower Snake River dams, a recent review by Gov. Jay Inslee and U.S. Sen. Patty Murray found it would cost up to $31 billion to replace the various economic benefits they provide. The report underscores the value of the dams and demonstrates why it's really not possible to replace their benefits.
Two years ago, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released a study that rejected the idea of breaching the Snake River dams as a way to improve salmon survival. The comprehensive, four-year, multimillion dollar analysis -- called the Columbia River System Operations Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) -- specifically considered and rejected dam breaching, recommending water management strategies instead to improve salmon survival. And here is a press release from some smug, c*cksucking environmental group. You know what it says already, but if you enjoy reading arrant bullsh*t... Important step toward removing the Lower Snake River dams, replacing their services, restoring abundant salmon, and honoring America's promises to Tribes Ah...honoring our promises? How about starting with the oaths that our scheming politicians have taken to uphold the Constitution. Once they demonstrate that they can honor that pledge, we can move on to honoring our promises to Indian tribes, because the fate of a few hundred thousand salmon on the Snake river is pretty damned trivial in the grand scheme of things. California destroyed the Central Valley to save a bait fish...is Washington trying to compete for the title of stupidest state? Or is it simply an environmental Cloward-Piven strategy?

“First of all, [Donald Trump] has a cognitive disorder. It wasn’t that he just had a slip of the tongue of using a name one time for another. Anybody can do that. But he was making a case. But really more dangerous than than getting us mixed up, more dangerous was his charge that we were not accepting his troops. We begged him for hours and hours. Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, to send the National Guard and he wouldn’t do it. His his underlings, the Secretary of the Army and the Acting Secretary of the Defense wouldn’t do it.”If you can stand the bile rising in your throat and BP exploding, listen to anything she has ever said and you come to realize that she does not speak in rational, well thought out sentences. She's a minimally competent automaton who can barely string pre-digested talking points, insults and platitudes together in a sort of protracted babble. Like the quote above. She just wants to get it all out at once which she is able to do only because she has hack propagandists willing and eager to just let her go off, unchallenged. The incredibly chutzpocritial comment about Trump having a cognitive disability is a howler. Not only considering that Joe Biden shuffles around like the bastard child of a Roomba and a Dalek searching out a pre-pubescent girl to fondle but that she herself as an advanced octogenarian has "issues." Worst of all is in the rest of the story, that I did not post, she has the fucking gall to outright lie about her intentionally leaving the Capitol unprotected on 1/6. It was Trump and his colleagues that begged her to beef up security and refused. Not vice versa. Anyway, far too much real estate but I think what it illustrates is their complete desperation. After everything being flung at Trump, which has done nothing but make him even more popular and almost a martyr, all you have left is this bullshit about his cognitive ability? Watch this have the effect of putting Joey's rapidly melting brain center stage. Well done, Pelosi! In any case, things are heating up along the Rio Grande. Greg Abbott has in essence told the asshole contingent at SCOTUS, no doubt acting at the behest of the Kalorama Klown Komintern, to go piss up a rope. Whatever razor wire the Feds cut down will be replaced with all speed. This is now becoming a situation. Oh boy.
A Texas congressman has urged [fake spurious] President Biden to take the state's National Guard under federal control if Republican Governor Greg Abbott defies a Supreme Court ruling allowing federal agents to remove razor wire from a section of the U.S.-Mexico border. The call was made by Democratic Representative Joaquin Castro after Abbott posted on X, formerly Twitter, saying the Texas National Guard would continue to "hold the line in Eagle's Pass," a popular migrant crossing point, stating: "Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden's absence." Castro re-shared Abbott's post on his own X account, adding: "Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and create chaos at the border. As of this writing, there has been no action on this by the Biden [junta]. This idea by Rep. Castro raises some interesting questions: 1 - Were the President to activate the Texas National Guard under Title 10, what would their orders be? To assist federal officers in throwing open the gates?First, Joaquin Castro is an insidious, rabid racialist and Marxist who has a hate on for America as founded. See his full rap sheet here via the invaluable Discover the Networks. He's a huge fan of what is known as la Reconquista, the reconquest of much of the western United States he feels stolen by the Yanquis from Mexico. Much of that crap comes from a pseudo political and totally racist hate group known as "La Raza," "The Race" in English, which his mother was/is intimately involved in. Don't bother looking it up as a group being monitored by the SPLC or the DOJ. And yet "replacement theory" is crazy talk, right? Funny, La Raza rhymes with Gaza. But I digress. Second, the gall of this puta madre to claim Abbott is responsible for the chaos on the border is off the charts. But, that's a hallmark of Leftists. Projection. And Joe Manchin is a clueless douchebag. Biden and his handlers have intentionally erased our borders and fomented an invasion of the numerical equivalent of one of the largest armies in the world. The chaos, dislocation, criminal violence and potentially terrorist violence, individually or as one or more mass events, that is being unleashed and soon to be unleashed is the greatest national security threat the American people have ever faced. Not too fine a point but I believe this is an act of treason on the part of Biden, Mayorkas and anyone who aids, abets and supports this, both in and outside of government. Right now, Greg Abbott is a patriot for holding the line. And for the moment he is in the wheeled catbird seat for one big reason: the 2024 election. The Biden/Democrat-created crisis via the complete erasure of our border and anything remotely resembling normal, rational immigration control is the issue that will decide the election. Even staunch Democrat blocs, especially American blacks, are being directly impacted by this and they are going from pissed off to being full on enraged. Their last desperate wunderwaffe (I can't think of something funny with V-2 and vagina), a.k.a. abortion is not going to help them. The situation at the border mirrors the junta's fiasco with Israel. Biden is caught between his desire to help destroy Israel that his crazy Muslim-Leftist base wants, and the outrage from most quarters about the attack and simultaneous eruption of anti-semitism that he's been forced to address. Now, he'll either have to admit there is a crisis – again one that is intentional and of his making – and reverse course, which will no doubt piss off the hardcore Marxists (and the Gas Chamber of Commerce), or do nothing and let Greg Abbott become a national hero. Or, most dangerously, he can send armed Federal troops down to Texas and ignite a full blown incident which could have untold repercussions. And remember, this is an election year when everyone's eyes are on him. Especially the eyes of Texas which are now the eyes of all of us as honorary Texans. Like everything else over the past three or more years, freedom itself is at stake. And here's another one of those lost-in-the-sauce items that has major ramifications for everyone:
2 - What happens if members of the Texas National Guard refuse activation and instead continue to follow the orders of TX-ANG officers and Governor Abbott?
3 - What if the Texas Guard splits, and former comrades end up facing each other across that red line?
4 - If the Pentagon sends federal troops, how willing are they going to be to confront other Americans to allow the continued invasion of the country?
5 - Is there any possibility that there may be open conflict between Texas and federal officials? I'm no wild-eyed conspiracy theorist, but this is the kind of thing that civil wars start over. Meanwhile, Senator and possible No-Labels Presidential candidate Joe Manchin (D-WV) is advising another course, in advising [fake spurious] President Biden to declare a national emergency over the illegal immigration crisis. . . . . . It's unlikely in the extreme that the Biden [junta] is going to declare a national emergency on the illegal invasion of the southern border; this [junta] has spent three years denying that there is any such emergency. Add to that the fact that neither side here looks like they are considering backing down.
The pro-life activists are accused of violating the FACE Act and civil rights conspiracy for a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Mount Juliet abortion provider on March 5, 2021. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building in the hallway outside the Carafem Health Center Clinic. The group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic to not get abortions. Eleven of the protesters were arrested for trespassing at the time after local police arrived and dispersed the crowd. In October 2022, the 11 pro-lifers were indicted by a federal grand jury after the Justice Department pursued charges against them arguing that there was conspiracy by the group to stop the women from accessing so-called “reproductive health care” and violating federal law ensuring access to abortion facilities. If convicted, the pro-lifers could face up to 11 years in prison and $250,000 worth of fines. . . . . . During the opening statement, the federal government accused the pro-lifers of plotting to “block doors to a health care clinic” and saying that the demonstrators planned on being arrested. The DOJ also said that the demonstration was not a protest, but a violation of federal law. Each of the lawyers for the defendants then had an opportunity to give an opening statement. Jodie Bell, Gallagher’s lawyer, said that the pro-lifers were peaceful and were only trying to convince pregnant women not to abort their unborn children. The other lawyers also said that their clients never injured, threatened, or assaulted anyone during the protest. Steve Crampton, with the Thomas More Society, said that his client, Vaughn, was an innocent man, and the protest was a “nonviolent, peaceful exercise.” . . . Vaughn has previously spoken about how the FBI raided his home with guns out in front of his wife and 11 children. He told the Daily Signal that federal agents came to his home “guns pointed at the door, banging on the house, yelling and screaming.” “I had kids in the yard walking out to get in the car to go to school, I was about to take them to school, and other kids in the house,” he said. “So seeing that the easiest path to de-escalation was me in handcuffs, I stepped outside and put an end to the ranting and the banging and the yelling.” The trial is taking place in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee at the Fred D. Thompson courthouse. Overseeing the case is Judge Aleta Trauger, appointed to the court in 1998 by then-President Bill Clinton.Funny how none of the useful idiot Einsatz-groupies cheering on the slaughter of Jews who blocked traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge, the 405 Freeway and even the Capitol are given wrist slaps. If that. This is not about abortion. It's about not even a two-tiered justice system but a completely politicized and corrupt system that uses the law to persecute, punish and ultimately destroy anyone who stands in the way of the Leftist Counter-American Revolution of the past 100 or so years. Go Greg Abbott. Let's roll!

Totally Random
Ahoy, HORDE! I hope everyone had a great and civil Christmas. In a completely random line of thought, the banner picture may be of interest to aviation nerds and history aficionados. It is one of the few surviving, and only flying, British Royal Navy MkI Swordfish W5856 torpedo carrier aircraft. Affectionately called the 'Stringbag", it looks like it should have flown in WWI, but it is a mid-1930s design.
Technically, the craft was obsolete by the time World War II arrived, having been bypassed by sleeker, more powerful all-metal combat aircraft. But the Swordfish's sturdiness and versatility--as well as its ability to take off and land from the early British carriers--made the biplane still useful to the war effort. With the addition of an auxiliary fuel tank, the Swordfish could range some 1,030 miles, nearly double its usual range.Maximum speed was 120 knots but cruise speed with a torpedo was closer to 100 knots. Hmm, 1000 miles at 100 knots...better bring some snacks. Most significantly, her sister aircraft took part in sinking Italian Navy ships at Taranto in 1940 and sinking the Bismark in the spring of 1941. The WARFARE HISTORY NETWORK has a nice post about the airplane and engagements. Here's a pretty cool video of the Swordfish operating on the aircraft carrier.
But what really caught my eye in the banner picture was the torpedo. I have been reading about the Pacific war in Ian Toll's fantastic trilogy about the PTO. He spends many pages on our submarine war and how very awful and dangerous our Mark 14 torpedoes were. Those torpedoes would porpoise, circle, run deep, fail to detonate, or simply sink. The early British torpedoes had their issues, but at least they went boom, as the Italian and German navies found to their chagrin. Our problems were solved by the introduction of the Mk18 electric torpedo, but that's a story for another day. Speaking of "boom," I don't mean to offend TESLA owners, but I couldn't resist:
Speaking of fire, I have been thinking for quite a while that 2024 is going to be "lit".
Apparently Catherine Herridge agrees. (Right Funny)

Governor Abbott writes that the federal government has "broken the compact" under which states agreed to loan power to a central government.
It has, as one person said, a definite "When, in the course of Human Events..." steel to it.I don't know if this invokes new action at all, as he just announces that he's already declared an invasion. He does seem to be threatening that his police and agents will act to defend Texas, and will ignore any federal statute which presumes to tell them they may not defend their own land. Declaring the state's power to defend itself to be supreme to any federal "law" is a big declaration. Will anything concrete flow from that? I don't know. Maybe this is just saber-rattling. Sometimes you do need to rattle the saber. Sometimes you even need to draw it out.The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now. President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration. Despite having been put on notice in a series of letters--one of which I delivered to him by hand--President Biden has ignored Texas's demand that he perform his constitutional duties. * President Biden has violated his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws enacted by Congress. Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border. * President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The effect is to illegally allow their en masse parole into the United States. * By wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas's border security infrastructure, President Biden has enticed illegal immigrants away from the 28 legal entry points along this State's southern border-- bridges where nobody drowns--and into the dangerous waters of the Rio Grande. Under President Biden's lawless border policies, more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed our southern border in just 3 years. That is more than the population of 33 different States in this country. This illegal refusal to protect the States has inflicted unprecedented harm on the People all across the United

States. James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the other visionaries who wrote the U.S. Constitution foresaw that States should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats like cartels smuggling millions of illegal immigrants across the border. That is why the Framers included both Article IV, sec. 4, which promises that the federal government "shall protect each [State] against invasion," and Article I, sec 10, Clause 3, which acknowledges "the States' sovereign interest in protecting their borders." Arizona v. United States, 567 U.S. 387, 419 (2012) (Scalia, J., dissenting). The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, sec. 4 has triggered Article I, sec. 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, sec. 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas's constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border. Greg Abbott

I briefly covered this earlier but this merits more than a mention.
The Daily Mail:
America's richest 1% and Ivy Leaguers say the rest of the country has TOO much personal freedom and want to ration food and electricity, shocking poll finds Elites want to save the planet by banning SUVs and jet plane vacations They're much bigger fans of Joe Biden and the government than regular voters

America's top earners have been blasted as 'wildly out of touch' after polling showed their views differ sharply from regular voters on everything from climate change to personal liberties. A survey has found that 'top 1 percent' earners and Ivy League graduates are much keener on banning and rationing cars and air travel in pursuit of climate targets than the rest of the country. They also expressed an authoritarian streak -- nearly six in ten members of the elite say there's too much personal freedom in the US, many times more than for ordinary voters.

The Committee to Unleash Prosperity, a free market advocacy group which led the poll, said in its report that the great and the good 'live in a bubble of their own construction.'
'The people who think they run the country don't think the same things about issues like individual freedom climate change and whether the government can be trusted,' said committee member Steve Moore. 'To understand that is to understand the divide in contemporary American politics.' .... Pollsters contrasted the views of regular voters with two surveys last September of 1,000 members of the elite -- identified as those with postgraduate degrees living in cities and earning more than $150,000 a year. ... The elites support the rationing of gas, meat, and electricity to cut emissions of planet-heating gases -- more than three quarters of elites support such a Draconian policy, to which two thirds of regular Americans are opposed.
Of course, the Davoisie want to ration gas, electricity, and even food for the lower orders while continuing to live like pharaohs themselves.

Their climate-fighting aspirations do not stop there. Elites also support banning many modern conveniences, from gas stoves, to air conditioners, non-essential air travel and gas-guzzling SUVs. Regular voters would by wide margins keep all of these, the survey showed. Elites are much keener on the US government than others. Fully 70 percent of them trust federal officials to 'do the right thing most of the time' -- more than twice the nationwide average. They also like the man at the top of it, President Joe Biden. He gets an 84 percent job approval rating from the elite -- roughly twice as high as it is for the general public. The same goes for schoolteachers and education chiefs. Two thirds of the elite say teachers should decide what kids learn at school. Regular voters are more in favor of parents deciding what happens at school, perhaps reflecting concerns about the politicized race, gender, and sexuality lessons in class.
The full survey, "Them vs. U.S.," is here. I bet you didn't see this coming: the elites, who occupy all the seats in the media, in law, and in lobbying firms, have a good opinion of the people who make up the media, the legal profession, and the lobbying sector.
Favorable Opinion of the Members of the Talking Professions At most, half of Americans have a favorable opinion of lawyers, lobbyists, union leaders, or journalists. However, almost 80% of the elites hold a favorable opinion of this group of professionals, and nearly 90% of the elite college attendees do. As for members of Congress, 28% have a favorable opinion versus 67% of Elites.

"Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different." - F. Scott Fitzgerald The people who run America, or at least think they do, live in a bubble of their own construction. They've isolated themselves from everyday America's realities to such a degree their views about what is and what should be happening in this country differ widely from the average American's. An analysis of their thinking, conducted for the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, finds that on a variety of economic, social, and political issues, there exists a wide gap between how the top 1% -- the Elites -- think things should be and how the rest of America looks at them. Elite thinking, as it's termed, is under attack -- and rightly so -- for being out of step with the rest of the country. Below, we highlight some of the profound attitudinal differences between elites and average Americans: In a time when most Americans have suffered a loss of real take-home pay, 74% of elites say they are financially better off today than in the past versus 20% of all Americans. Nearly six in ten say there is too much individual freedom in America -- double the rate of all Americans. More than two-thirds (67%) favor rationing of vital energy and food sources to combat the threat of climate change. In stark contrast to the rest of America, 70% of the Elites trust the government to "do the right thing most of the time." Two-thirds (67%) say teachers and other educational professionals should decide what children are taught rather than letting parents decide. Somewhere between half and two-thirds favor banning things like SUVs, gas stoves, air conditioning, and non-essential air travel to protect the environment. About six of ten elites have a favorable opinion of the so-called talking professions- lawyers, lobbyists, politicians, and journalists. President Joe Biden enjoys an 84% job approval rating from this group -- roughly twice as high as the general public. ... The Elites represent 1% of the U.S. population but have an outsized voice on public policy in the United States, with their views seeming somehow to dominate the national conversation. This may be because it is the Elites themselves who determine what that conversation will be about on campus, in the legacy media, and corporate board rooms. Not surprisingly, these people talk about politics far more than most Americans. The data show that nearly a third of them (30%) talk about politics daily or almost every day. Just 9% of the voting public do. It is worth noting that members of the Elites who talk about politics daily have views that are even further removed from the opinions of the voting public.
This is true even when the Elites self-identify as Republicans. They typically may be more conservative than Elite Democrats but they still have attitudes and opinions that are far removed from those of the typical American voter. The Elite class -- regardless of party -- is an exclusive club that sees and experiences America through a different lens than ordinary Americans.

A CNN exit poll found that just 27 percent of Nikki Haley's New Hampshire Republican primary voters are actually Republicans. Among Trump voters, the poll found that 70 percent of them were registered Republicans while 27 percent were registered undeclared. An additional three percent were unregistered before voting. The results found a complete inverse for Haley voters, just 27 percent of whom were actually registered as Republicans, according to the poll. A majority of Haley's voters -- 70 percent -- were registered as undeclared while three percent were unregistered before Tuesday's primary. One voter told CNN that he cast his ballot for Haley to "vote against Trump." "I think it would be better to have her against Biden in the elections than it to be Trump," he said. When asked if he would describe himself as a Republican, an independent or a Democrat, the man described himself as a Democrat.Democrats are meanwhile freaking out about just how weak and feeble Joe Biden is.
Democrat race propagandist Van Jones is blunt about Biden's incapacities: He advises Biden to "stay hidden," because every time Biden stumbles out into public, he embarrasses himself and makes people worry for his mental capability.
CNN contributor Van Jones said President Joe Biden should hide from the public view if he wants to win the 2024 election because he "doesn't inspire confidence." Speaking after Trump's victory in the New Hampshire primary, making him the likely Republican nominee, Jones detailed the strategy he would give the president. "If I were Biden ... I would stay hidden," Jones said. "And I'll tell you why -- he doesn't inspire confidence. And he's not a great messenger for himself. He has done a tremendous job for this economy. Union members, union leaders ... are racking up win after win; they should be put forward."
Sure whatever Van!
