Unemployment Rises as Americans Lose Jobs to Foreign "Newcomers"

At 4%, the claimed unemployment rate is still low. But it's rising.

The claim about Americans losing jobs to illegal "newcomers" isn't just supposition. It's right there in the numbers.

The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report revealed a rise in unemployment to 4.0%, highlighting continued economic struggles under the Biden administration. Significant job losses for native-born workers and gains for foreign-born workers, including illegal immigrants, paint a concerning picture for the American workforce.

Key Details:

The unemployment rate increased to 4.0% in May, up from 3.9% in April, highlighting ongoing economic instability under President Biden's leadership.

Native-born Americans saw a significant decline in employment, losing 663,000 jobs, while foreign-born workers, including illegal immigrants, gained 414,000 jobs.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta recently revised its GDP growth estimate down from 4.2% to 1.8%, reflecting slowing economic activity and reduced consumer spending as inflation remains steady and prices continue to rise.

In the socialist utopia of Califoreign, ten thousand jobs have been lost in the fast food industry alone since the minimum wage was jacked up to $20/hour.

California's recent minimum wage hike to $20 per hour has resulted in nearly 10,000 job cuts across the state's fast food sector, according to a major trade group. The California Business and Industrial Alliance (CABIA) criticized Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom for implementing the law, which took effect on April 1. Tom Manzo, president and founder of CABIA, highlighted the adverse impacts on businesses, including closures and increased prices, in an interview with Fox Business.

One notable casualty is Rubio's California Grill, a popular taco chain that shuttered 48 of its 134 locations in late May, citing the rising cost of doing business in the state. The San Diego-based company filed for bankruptcy shortly afterward. Similarly, a Fosters Freeze location near Fresno closed due to the inability to sustain the upgraded wages.

Fast food giants like McDonald's, Burger King, and In-N-Out Burger have responded to the wage hike by raising prices. For example, McDonald's has increased the cost of its Quarter Pounder and Double Quarter Pounder burgers, while Taco Bell raised menu prices by 3%. These price adjustments come amid already high inflation, making fast food meals significantly more expensive for consumers. A LendingTree survey revealed that 78% of consumers now view fast food as a "luxury" purchase.

This story from January "resurfaced" on social media: Gen Zers are "bringing their whole selves" to job interviews, and by "whole selves," I mean they're bringing their parents. Or 20% are, at least.

And word has gotten out about the Failure Factories we call "colleges" -- employers don't want to hire recent college graduates.

Helicopter parenting has reached a new level.

Employers are going above and beyond to not hire recent college graduates in favor of older workers, a new survey found.

The survey uncovered many reasons why older applicants are preferred -- including that Gen Z jobseekers are even bringing mom and dad to interviews.

In December, Intelligent, an online magazine focused on student life, surveyed 800 managers, directors and executives involved in the hiring process.

It found that 39% of employers actively avoid hiring recent college graduates for roles they're qualified for.

Out of the 800 people surveyed, a startling one in five (19%) said a recent college graduate brought a parent with them to their job interview.

But that's not the only aspect stopping employers from hiring Gen Z applicants.

One in five employers say that recent college graduates are "unprepared" for interviews -- and are often unprofessional.

Fifty-three percent of employers surveyed said that recent college graduates struggle with eye contact, 50% said they ask for unreasonable compensation, 47% said they don't dress appropriately for interviews, and 21% said they refuse to turn their cameras on for virtual interviews.

That can't all be due to covid; these people were locked down fairly late in their young lives.

It's all very worrying: society is churning out broken, fearful people.

And the younger generations have been lazy for a while. A friend of mine owns a lawfirm and complains that he, the owner, has to work through the weekend because his young attorney employees will routinely blow off writing motions due on Monday morning because they decided to go on a road trip or just want to "set parameters for my work-life balance."


Additionally, 63% of those involved in hiring claimed tht recent college grads can't manage their workload, 61% said they are frequently late to work, 59% claimed they often miss deadlines, and 53% noted that they are frequently late to meetings.

Employers aren't exactly fans of Gen Z's attitudes, either.

Fifty-eight percent said Gen Z jobseekers get offended too easily and are unprepared for the workforce in general, 63% said they are entitled, 57% believed they lack professionalism, 55% said they don't respond well to constructive feedback, and 52% claimed they have poor communication skills.

Of those surveyed, 47% admitted that they had fired a recent college graduate.

Meanwhile, employers are pursuing great lengths to avoid hiring a recent graduate, including offering more benefits for older employees (60%), paying higher salaries to older employees (59%), allowing older workers to work remotely or in a hybrid environment (48%) and hiring older employees for roles they're overqualified for (46%).

A friend of mine commented: Being merely normal is the new "extraordinary."

I really don't know what we can do. A society churning out hordes of economically-useless young people cannot survive.

And obviously: They will repudiate Social Security and Medicare the moment they have a working majority to do so. They can barely support themselves, they're not going to support the older generations.

THE MORNING RANT: The Toll Road Rebellion Scores a Major Victory in Alabama

New York Governor Hochul has just backed away from a punitive hike in tolls that would have to be paid to drive into Manhattan. The $15 toll was going to save the climate, of course, and coincidentally raise revenue for the state government. Non-affluent, non-Manhattanites were extremely angry and Hochul could feel the heat. She backed away from the increased tolls out of political fear of a growing populist backlash.

Meanwhile, down south, if you’ve ever driven to the Alabama beaches, there’s a good chance you’ve paid a toll at the Foley Beach Express Bridge as you left the mainland and entered Orange Beach. You will not have to pay that toll again. Something remarkable just happened – the state of Alabama has purchased the bridge from the private company that owned the bridge, and all toll collections have been terminated. The highway is free and open now.

This anti-toll road backlash exemplifies a type of populist conservatism that is alien to both parties.

Regarding private toll roads, such as the one in Alabama, the old Republican establishment’s “small government” mantra found fulfillment in the outsourcing and privatization of services that government should actually provide. Corporatist Republicans would rather a private company collect tolls than have the government provide un-tolled highway freedom to its citizens.

For the first time in 51 years, a toll will be removed from an Alabama road or bridge after Gov. Kay Ivey and a group of South Alabama officials gathered Wednesday to officially sign the paperwork transferring the Foley Beach Express Bridge to state ownership.

The state purchased the bridge from the Baldwin County Bridge Company (BCBC) for approximately $60 million, ending a nearly quarter century private ownership of the structure that included tolling.

Please don’t think that my preference for state ownership of roads over a private company makes me a fan of high-taxes and big government. I most certainly am not. But with this action, the state of Alabama is relieving the citizenry of a de facto tax that was being steered to a government-favored private entity which had no competition. There is nothing “free enterprise” about the state awarding a multi-decade contract to a company that gains monopoly control of an essential utility.

Despite the anarchistic dreams of some libertarians, a tax-free municipal government is not possible. We pay our taxes, which should be kept low, and then there are certain expectations from us on how the tax money is spent. While we do not want our taxes being used to provide pensions for 48-year-old municipal retirees, we have every reason to expect our taxes to provide certain infrastructure and services, including roads, bridges, and policing, among other functions. Responsible conservatism can be opposed to wasteful transfer payments while still supporting taxpayer-funded roads and policing.

The typical American driver detests toll roads much like they detested the 55-mph speed limit. The repeal of the reviled 55-mph speed limit was perhaps the most celebrated change that came of the Republicans’ Gingrich-era capture of the House of Representatives. The elimination of a hated toll by Gov. Ivey has a similar emotional impact on normal Americans.

Matt Ericksen, the Southwest region engineer for the Alabama Department of Transportation, said that the bridge company has a few weeks to remove its equipment before the state begins demolition work on June 16.

The demolition of that toll booth will be as beautiful a sight as seeing 55-mph signs give way to 70-mph signs back in the 1990s.

Contrary to real-world Americans, the Democrat and Republican establishment both love toll roads in their own ways. Democrats love state-owned toll roads, which serve as a source of tax revenue and create make-work jobs for toll collectors and toll agency administrators. Establishment Republicans love privatized toll roads because a corporation rather than the government is collecting the tolls. The fact that the corporation has no competition over its 50-year lease does not seem to matter.

If a new highway is built, and it is tolled until the construction bonds are paid for, that would even be acceptable to many toll-haters. But tolling in perpetuity is rightfully seen as a fleecing of drivers in perpetuity.

Above all else, the open road represents freedom to so many Americans. Impediments to driving freedom are despised, be they speed-traps, the banning of gasoline-powered cars, or toll booths.

Bravo to Governor Ivey for grasping the populist conservatism that detests toll roads, and for making the Alabama beaches a toll-free destination.

Good Morning Kids. Ho-hum ho-hum, another day and yet again we have shambling, bi-pedal gin blossom Hillary Clinton comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. yet quite possibly in one of the most disgusting ways imaginable:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used the 80th anniversary of D-Day to draw a comparison between Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and former President Donald Trump, claiming that those who voted against Trump would be doing as much to “protect democracy” as the boys who stormed the Normandy beaches.

Clinton appeared to have some idea that her thoughts might not be well-received, as evidenced by the fact that she shut down replies to the post on X.

It was only last Tuesday when Maxine Love Canal Waters was in the spotlight for proclaiming Donald Trump and anyone and everyone who supports him will foment a Civil War should he somehow escape the persecution by prosecution and emerge victorious come November.

Remember, she was notorious for urging people to quite literally get in the face of and physically assault and harass anyone in the Trump administration if they should spot them in public

And she and her ilk have the unmitigated gall to speak about things such as insurrection and make comparisons to one of the world's most infamous Leftists, Adolf Hitler.

With that as a set up, I give you this rather unsurprising story:

Democrats have already weaponized the justice system against conservatives and Donald Trump, and no a New York Democratic congressional candidate thinks that all MAGA supporters should be sent to a "re-education camp" following the 2024 election.

Paula Collins, the Democrat challenging Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), publicly announced her idea during a public Zoom townhall this week. 

"Even if we were to have a resounding blue wave come through, as many of us would like, putting it all back together again after we’ve gone through this MAGA nightmare and re-educating basically, which, that sounds like a rather, a re-education camp. I don’t think we really want call it that," Collins said. "I’m sure we can find another way to phrase it." 

"This radical New York City Democrat Socialist who literally is renting a bed and breakfast room in NY-21 was caught on tape saying she wants to force Trump voters through ‘re-education camps,’" Alex DeGrasse, a senior advisor to Elise Stefanik, told Fox News Digital. "Everyone knows she will be defeated by Elise Stefanik by a historic margin." 

Had the Democrats not murdered Abraham Lincoln in 1865, perhaps he might have unleashed a terrible swift sword of justice on that party and burned its evil black heart out, which had done so much to defile and destroy the dream and promise of the American revolution, the results of which reverberate to this day with generations of wasted lives and potential.

And that brings us to the blood libeling of Rep Byron Donalds for having the gall to speak the truth about what the Democrat Party did to blacks for the past 200 years.

Funny, and typical, how the illiterate overstuffed yammering knockwurst known as Joy Reid twists Donalds' words to claim he is defending Jim Crow. When in point of fact, he is merely pointing out certain statistics about the status of the black family during that era. Which by the way was put into practice by her party as a means to subvert reconstruction and black emancipation which came about only because of the sacrifice in blood and treasure by a hell of a lot of white people, not just to end slavery but to prevent the overthrow of the Republic by anti-American tyrants who lusted for absolute power ever since the founding of the republic. An still do.

Like Clarence Thomas, Byron Donalds understands the evil that is the Democrat welfare state and big government that continues to destroy successive generations of blacks by keeping them in metaphorical chains to an all powerful big government bureaucracy.

For that he must be destroyed. considering the gains that Donald Trump is making with blacks and has made since 2016, Donalds and those like him pose an existential threat to Democrat power. Couple that with the undeniable disasters of open borders, a decimated economy, and out of control crime and other cultural depravity, and it's not merely one election that could be at stake.


As I have observed, perhaps we are on the cusp of ORange becoming the new black, well maybe Orange Mandela is the new black for blacks?

We must force Leftists to eat Jim Crow, until it comes out of their ears.

In the UK, the "Conservative" party, the Tories, have admitted more immigrants than any government before them, and continue refusing to execute the people's will and finalize Brexit. They will suffer an enormous loss at the next election, scheduled for July 4 (which in England is known as "the day after July 3rd").

Nigel Farage is running, and his Reform party is now polling within a few points of the Tories. This polls says the Tories are at 20%, and Reform at 15%. I've seen another poll that puts it at 18 for the Tories and 17% for Reform.

That doesn't mean the Tories are doing well, or that Reform will win any elections. What will happen is that every Tory stronghold will be split between the two parties and Labour will win almost every seat in England.

And frankly, this needs to happen. The commentators on the Lotus Eater channel are all conservative, but said that we have to fight the first enemy first, and the first enemy, they say, is the fake "conservative" party whose only goal is to thwart conservative voters. They are resigned, even contented, to lose all power for the next four or five years to destroy the "Conservative" Party so that a real conservative party can rise up to displace it.

Facing what will be an epochal defeat which will reshape British politics, the Tories, with less than a month to go before the election, have finally decided that maybe there are only two genders after all. Voters are laughing at this desperate last-minute election-eve realization.

We're going to have to do the same thing within the next election or two.

In the rigged Hunter Biden trial, they at least got the FBI to admit that the laptop is real. Matt Vespa wants to know if Lesley Stahl and CBS will issue a correction and an apology to Trump, for insisting it was RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION.

FBI Settles Political Retaliation Lawsuit Against Patriotic Agent; Meanwhile Andrew McCable Whines That Trump Might Politically Retaliate Against the FBI

From SmoosieQ, Marcus Allen was not only suspended without pay for over two years for forwarding news articles expressing doubts about the official J6 Approved Regime narrative, he had all of his security clearances cancelled, so he could not work in the security field, which is one of the few options a former FBI agent can get for decent-paying employment.

A report on the weaponization of government concluded:

"Because these open-source articles questioned the FBI's handling of the violence at the Capitol, the FBI suspended Allen for 'conspiratorial views in regard to the events of January 6th,'" the report states, adding that the FBI did not give him approval to seek outside employment during his suspension.

This is what they do: They literally starve you and force you to borrow yourself into bankruptcy until you capitulate and go along with the Regime's agenda.

The FBI has settled with former FBI agent Marcus Allen rather than seeing this egregious political retaliation case going to court.

Oh -- and just to make sure he was radioactive and unemployable, the FBI branded him a traitor to the US.

An FBI staffer punished for harboring so-called "conspiratorial" views about the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot has regained his security clearance as part of a settlement with the bureau -- and won back pay lost while on ice, according to a whistleblower nonprofit that represented him.

Staff operations specialist Marcus Allen was informed May 31 that his top secret security clearance had been reinstated following his suspension over "security concerns" about his "allegiance to the United States," a letter from the FBI's HR department shows.

Allen shared concerns about FBI Director Christopher Wray giving "untruthful" testimony to Congress about concerning the degree of involvement of confidential human sources on January 6th.

"There is a good possibility the DC elements of our organization are not being forthright about the events of the day or the influence of government assets," Allen later wrote in a letter to his leadership chain, which led to his security clearance being pulled.

Allen resigned from the FBI on Monday and was awarded full back pay and benefits for the 27 months he was "unjustly suspended," Leavitt said, citing a settlement agreement.

"While waiting for your office to complete its work and for the FBI to consider our appeal of his clearance revocation, the Bureau denied Mr. Allen's request to accept other employment and even argued that his family could not accept charitable donations from the public because he was technically still subject to gift rules--although he had no pay and no official duties for more than two years."

Suspended without pay, deliberately smeared and rendered unemployable, and refused even the ability to accept charity.

They wanted him dead, in other words.

Fetterman: I Didn't Leave the Progressive Movement, the Progressive Movement Left Me. Fire Bad!

Last week, Fetterman's Monster renounced his association with Harvard over its curious policy of only allowing free speech for pro-Hamas terror-supporters who have created an unsafe space for Jews on campus.

Personally, I think people should be pretty free to speak their mind, even if this makes other people feel unsafe. But Harvard doesn't believe that, and routinely punishes speech that make its Marginalized Communities (Marginalized Harvard Students, LOL) "feel unsafe."

Of course people should be disciplined or expelled for threatening other students. But a lot of complaints I see are about the chant "From the river to the sea," which most of these absolute dullards don't even know the meaning of.

Nevertheless, Harvard routinely punishes students for saying things which people then "interpret" in the most tendentious way possible, and demand censorship, which they then get. If you say there are two genders, they will claim you're "erasing" transgenders and putting their lives at risk.


But Jews Need Not Apply for this protection. Pro-Hamas terror-simps can call for the actual, not metaphorical, erasure of Israel, and it's all good.


Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) renounced his association with Harvard University over its "inability to stand up for the Jewish community" during his Yeshiva University commencement address on Wednesday, removing the crimson hood representing his alma mater while on stage.

Fetterman made the gesture early in his address, which culminated in him receiving the Presidential Medallion, the private Orthodox university's highest honor, for his advocacy on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people. He joked that he didn't deserve to be in the same company as previous recipients of the award, describing himself as "just a senator with a big mouth that happens to be committed to standing with Israel."

The Pennsylvania senator, who has emerged since Oct. 7 as one of Israel's strongest allies in his party, said he had been "reflecting" on his "last graduation, and that was literally a quarter century ago. I was graduating from Harvard University."

"Today, I have been profoundly disappointed with Harvard's inability to stand up for the Jewish community after Oct. 7. Personally, I do not fundamentally believe that it is right for me to wear this today," Fetterman said while pointing to his hood, which he then removed from around his neck.

The move sparked audible gasps and subsequent cheers from the crowd....

The Democratic senator has bucked his party's shift away from Israel in recent months, refusing to waver in his support for continued offensive military aid despite the objections of some far left colleagues. He has also led on legislation combating antisemitism on college campuses alongside Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

And now Fetterman's Monster roars, "I am a human! I have my own thoughts and my own will! And I reject my creator's Progressive dogma!"

He then yeeted a little girl into a moat.

But really, he says he didn't leave the progressive movement,
the progressive movement left him.


Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., responded to progressive critics suggesting he wasn't exactly who people thought he would be while he was campaigning. He added that the progressive "label" left him.

"I'm not a progressive, I just identified myself as a regular Democrat," Fetterman said, talking to CNN's Dana Bash. "Now, eight years ago, I was a progressive, but the situation's changed and I've been very clear that I didn't leave that label. That label leaved [left] me and I think it's much more important to be focusing on Donald Trump instead of those kinds of purity tests and those kinds of issues."

Bash also asked Fetterman to respond to Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., who told CNN on Tuesday that President Biden was using the "same tools as Donald Trump" to address border security.

"She's entitled to her own opinion, but it does also seem like some of the harshest words for the president in this situation seems to be more coming from very safe, and blue, very kinds of places. Now in Pennsylvania, border security is an important issue and we do all believe that we should have a secure border, and I never thought it was unreasonable for any Democrat to want to make our border more secure," he said.

Fetterman has said that the progressives in his party, in addition to the right, are hoping he "dies" over his stance on Israel and border security.

Fetterman's health has improved more and faster than expected, and in what may not be a coincidence, the more his brain damage recedes, the less he agrees with lefty activists and the Democratic Party's functionaries.

Judge Cannon to Hold Hearing on Jack Smith's Illegal Appointment as Special Prosecutor; Georgia Court of Appeals Tells Fani Willis to Cool Her Snizz

Trump and the other codefendants in Fani Willis' Gonna Catch Me Some D prosecution have appealed the cowardly political ruling that Fani Willis should not be forced to recuse herself from the prosecution, even though he admitted that the testimony offered by Fani and Sweetdick had the "scent of mendacity," or words to that effect. (Might have been a different smell, TBH.)

The Georgia Court of Appeals has stayed any further action from Fani Willis until they figure out what the hell is going on with her snizz.


On Wednesday, the Georgia Court of Appeals issued an order staying any further proceedings in the matter, pending the outcome of the appeal. The order applies to the case against Trump as well as to his co-defendants: Michael Roman, David Shafer, Robert Cheeley, Mark Meadows, Cathleen Latham, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark, and Harrison Floyd.

Ultimately, that means the Georgia case will not be proceeding ahead of the November election.


The new order filed on Wednesday from the Georgia Court of Appeals is the latest indication that a trial in the state-level Georgia election subversion case will not occur before the 2024 presidential election.

The appeals court is expected to rule on the disqualification issue by March 2025, though it could issue a ruling sooner. Several sources close to the case have told CNN that the timeline remains very uncertain.

Meanwhile, Judge Aileen Cannon is hearing arguments about whether Jack Smith's appointment as special counsel is legal or not. It's not. The law states that a special counsel must be appointed from outside the DOJ, and Jack Smith was working there when he was appointed.

This article by Crybully Nonsense Network CNN is full of salt.

Notice that at no point do they alert readers as to why Jack Smith's appointment is being challenged -- if people read that, they'd say, "Oh well, he's clearly been illegally appointed, why is this even a question?"

So instead they hide that and just tell you about All the Other (Leftwing) Judges who have refused to hear arguments on this highly salient point.

Judge Aileen Cannon rips up court schedule in Mar-a-Lago case in ways that benefit Trump

Nothing but straight factual reporting from the Crybully Nonsense Network.


Judge Aileen Cannon is again ripping up the court schedule in former President Donald Trump's classified documents case -- pushing some of the legal questions that have been before her for months even further down the road.

Cannon is planning on holding a sprawling hearing on Trump's request to declare Jack Smith's appointment as special counsel invalid, signaling she could be more willing than any other trial judge to veto the special prosecutor's authority.

The planned hearing also adds a new, unusual twist in the federal criminal case against the former president: Cannon on Tuesday said that a variety of political partisans and constitutional scholars not otherwise involved with the case can join in the oral arguments later this month.

What the Crybully Nonsense Network is crying about there is that she is allowing amicus briefs, or "friend of the court" briefs. These are entirely unexceptional and a standard, routine filing in trials where many people beyond the instant defendants have an interest or "stakeholder" position in the outcome.

Here's an article about a left-aligned lawfirm submitting amicus curiae briefs in Soros Prosecutor Alvin Bragg's lawsuit against Jim Jordan and the judiciary committee.

With the permission of the Court, groups that do not have a direct stake in the outcome of the case, but are nevertheless interested in it, may file what is known as an amicus curiae (Latin for "friend of the court") brief providing their own arguments and recommendations for how the case should be decided.

But CNN is pushing the disinformation that this is some unprecedented trick by Cannon, so they're not going to tell you that this is all extremely routine and Cannon's ruling is thoroughly unexceptional.


It's an extraordinary elevation of arguments in a criminal case -- filed a year ago this week -- that likely won't see trial until next year, if at all.

Wednesday, Cannon went further, adding a hearing on a gag order request from prosecutors to limit Trump's rhetoric about law enforcement and allotting more time to hear arguments on the special counsel issue.

Jack Smith demanded a Judge Mechan style gag order to stop Trump from talking about the unprecedented FBI raid on the home of a president. Because it might lead to people distrusting or feeling hostile towards our Brave and Noble Straight-Shooters in the FBI.

As I've said before, Merchan's order is arguably authorized. (Arguably -- I disagree.) He claimed he imposed a gag order to preserve the proper functioning of the court. Judges have the power to do that.

But what is Jack Smith's pretext from imposing a gag order to prevent the broad public from not feeling the feels for the FBI any longer? What does that have to do with the administration of justice in this trial?

Nothing. He just doesn't want Trump to talk negatively about the people who crookedly "gathered evidence" by posing the documents in classified folders they brought to the scene themselves.


Cannon will hear arguments on those issues the week of June 21, as well as on the effort by Trump to throw out evidence in his case that was gathered by the FBI in its 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago or provided by his former attorney Evan Corcoran to a grand jury.

At the same time, she delayed other hearings without setting a new date.

The calendar shuffling is the latest example of Cannon's approach so far to the national security case: scheduling hours in court for arguments that other courts have mostly denied, and pushing off resolution of various legal matters for months.

Oh, other leftwing judges have denied similar motions -- "mostly."

So obviously this is just a big partisan trick by Cannon.

Similar challenges from Trump and other high-level targets of special counsel probes have flopped from coast to coast in recent years: Hunter Biden's attorney didn't get anywhere with judges in Los Angeles and Delaware; Paul Manafort's arguments fell flat when the former Trump campaign chairman challenged special counsel Robert Mueller's authority; and Andrew Miller, a former associate of Roger Stone, also lost his challenge to Mueller's authority.

In what way are these completely-different challenges "similar"? The only point of similarity are that most are about prosecutions of people associated with Trump.

And Hunter Biden? The DOJ tried to rig a plea hearing by snowing the judge. The extraordinary Free Pass for all crimes committed and even those not yet discovered was hidden in a side-document only referenced in the actual plea bargain. They counted on the judge not reading that side-document and just blessing the fake plea bargain with a rubber stamp.

But she did read it, and was about to deny the plea bargain as corrupt (the state, the "People" in this matter, got absolutely nothing in exchange for giving an illegal-gun-owning crackhead carte blanche legal immunity for EVERYTHING he's ever done).

Later his corrupt fixer attempted to have the case thrown out on the dazzlingly-insane theory that Hunter Biden's prosecution was a political witch-hunt by his own father.

HOW THE HELL IS THAT "SIMILAR" TO TRUMP'S MOTION!?!

More Crybully Nonsense Network complaining that this judge isn't automatically siding with the political prosecutors like "most" other judges have done.

Incidentally, Hunter Biden also challenged the constitutionality of his order to appear before Congress, with his Democrat Fixer lawyer arguing that the congressional order wasn't legal until there was a full vote on it. He wasn't prosecuted for defying a congressional subpoena because of this argument.

(And the fact that his corrupt rapist father has the Deep State working to clear "the smartest man I ever knew" of all charges.)


Even with other federal trial-level judges allowing special counsels' criminal prosecutions, Cannon could rule differently.

Ruling differently? We can't have that. Other judges have imposed precedent on her, despite them ruling on entirely different motions and despite the fact that those judges are on an equal plane to her, that is, they are not "above her" in the judicial appeals ecosystem and their rulings, even if they were on similar issues, simply do not bind her.


Cannon's signal of willingness to entertain challenges to the special counsel comes in the same week Republicans are bearing down on Attorney General Merrick Garland for his use of special counsels.



Cannon has already taken a drastically different tack from other trial-level federal judges
who have handled criminal cases charged by recent special counsel's offices -- of which there have been five since Trump became president.

While others have moved swiftly to trial -- including special counsel David Weiss trying his case against Hunter Biden in Delaware this week, eight months after indictment -- Cannon has moved slowly on pre-trial issues from Trump and his two co-defendants.

Other partisan judges rushed to get these trials finished before the election -- why is Cannon moving so slowly?

They can't admit this is all being done to influence the election, so they're very vague about why this must happen in the next couple of months instead of in December.

And it is highly unusual for a federal trial judge to allow a third-party group unaffiliated with a criminal case to argue in court as part of a defendant's legal challenges to the case itself. That work is essentially reserved for defendants' teams to bring and argue in courts across the country, opposite Justice Department prosecutors. Allowing third parties to argue in court is even rare in appeals situations.

It's not rare. And this case is extraordinary -- which is why any responsible judge would want to be briefed on all issues before ruling.

Unlike Mechan, the Democrat Party's Rubber Stamp adding a veneer of legality to their Soviet tactics.


But Cannon has been convinced by three separate groups of lawyers that they should be able to argue before her. Two of those groups support Trump's position to dismiss the case against him and say the special counsel, for various constitutional reasons, doesn't have authority to prosecute. A third group says the Department of Justice's use of a special counsel should be upheld.

"For various constitutional reasons." And also, the law that says a special counsel cannot be an existing employee of the Justice Department.

Also note that she's hearing arguments from a Jack Smith ally. The article calls the other two outside groups joining the case "Republicans," but tells us nothing about the politics of the group arguing in Jack Smith's favor.

Two former Republican-appointed US attorneys general, Edwin Meese and Michael Mukasey, are part of the groups of so-called "friends of the court" that side with Trump and whom Cannon will hear from. The three groups will be allowed to argue, in addition to Justice Department and defendants' lawyers, for 30 minutes each, according to the court record.

They're saying "friends of the court" as if these Republicans are friends of Aileen Cannon." Amicus curiae does mean "friend of the court," but it's a term of art meaning "anyone with important arguments or facts about a ruling that a judge agrees to hear so that she will have the most and best information for making her ruling. They're making this sound like some arcane, unknown trick rule, when in fact it's routine in all cases with a big political or policy import.

And they're trying to make it seem like Aileen Cannon is favoring her "friends." I mean, amicus means friend, right? So she's doing a favor for her "friends."

Still nothing about that group arguing on behalf of Jack Smith.

I guess they're not politically aligned at all -- they're just "experts," whose only political affiliation is to The Truth.


Trump's legal team is angling to convince the judge to force the government to turn over more records from far-flung offices of the executive branch.

By "far flung," I assume she means Trump wants to see the emails from the hyperpartisan in the National Archives who ginned up this madness.

"Far flung" like that.

The irony of it -- they're prosecuting Trump for not handing over records they demanded while refusing to turn over to Trump the records he demands so that he can mount an informed defense.

The special counsel's office argued to Cannon in person months ago that making federal government officials witnesses at this stage of the case -- as Trump wants -- would be an unprecedented exploitation of the court.

Cannon still agreed to the hearing Trump wanted. But that hearing is no longer on the schedule.

The special counsel made an argument but Cannon is "still" granting Trump a hearing on the issue.

This judge didn't just take a leftwing hatchet-man's word on the law as gospel!

This is unprecedented!!!

The war against tradition...the war against Western culture...the war against American Exceptionalism...the war against religion. Call it what you like, but it is being conducted everywhere where religious-based culture does not have an iron grip. There is a reason why the mush-brained fellow-travelers of the hard left became social workers and teachers and mid-level functionaries in government. It was to conduct policy by underhanded means, neatly sidestepping legislatures and school boards...at least until they could take over those as well.

And this is the result. Two families, whose beliefs in a completely unremarkable and objectively true thing: that girls cannot become boys and boys cannot become girls, are banned from the foster care system.

Vermont Blocked Christian Families From Fostering Over Gender Ideology, Lawsuit Alleges

A new lawsuit alleges that Vermont blocked two families from fostering children, despite the state's foster care system crisis, because the families held traditional, religious views on gender and sexuality.

Brian and Kaitlyn Wuoti and Michael and Rebecca Gantt accused the Vermont Department for Children and Families of mandating an "ideological position at the expense of children" in a lawsuit filed Tuesday. Both Brian Wuoti and Michael Gantt are pastors, and both families hold traditional, Christian religious views.

Well, they also have empirical evidence that the current craze for gender-bending lunacy is just that: insane. Our once grand culture has devolved to the point where the mere acceptance of biological reality is considered outside the mainstream and inappropriate for the care of society's most vulnerable. Those aren't just "traditional, Christian views." Those are views held by most people on earth, and they worked out just fine for all but the last 10 years of human history.

By all means, let's elect Donald Trump in November. But these apparatchiks are in some ways more powerful than the president, and are doing possibly existential damage to our country and culture.

The fight is everywhere...not just at the top of the ticket, and not just in the overtly political arena. As Andrew Breitbart said, "politics is downstream of culture," and we must retake our culture by driving these people from the public square, and from positions of influence in our public institutions.

Perhaps the best first step is to reject the entire premise of transgenderism. No longer should we say, "well, as long as you are an adult you can do what you want; but just stay away from our children."

Perhaps we should call a spade a spade, and say to the adults who want to turn themselves into psychotic freaks: "No. You are mentally ill, and as a culture we do not allow mentally ill people to control their destinies." We treat their illness!"

What a concept!

The Morning Report — 6/6/24

Good Morning Kids. On this the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, D-Day, the allied invasion of Nazi -occupied Europe which began the Anglo-American effort to liberate Europe from the Nazis. I am reminded of the words of the Czech author Milan Kundera who wrote:

The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting.
It is tragically even more appropriate today in this country and in the west where we sacrificed so much of our blood and treasure to liberate the lands from whence our ancestors came, and in many cases fled so that their posterity could live in freedom, and build a nation and society like no other that came before it; one where the individual reigned supreme over kings, tyrants and governments.

As the child of a mother who somehow miraculously, along with her entire family miraculous to the power of miraculous all survived intact the evil that wiped out the majority of Europe's Jews and millions of others, as well as being the namesake of a man who gave his life in the green hell of Saipan 80 years ago this July. D-Day, Midway, Anzio and dozens of other names and places are a part of my DNA.

Ronald Reagan famously said, and as we are living and witnessing this very day predicted:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

40 years ago, he paid homage to those who gave their lives in the eternal struggle for freedom, and of memory against forgetting:

When one Ranger fell, another would take his place. When one rope was cut, a Ranger would grab another and begin his climb again. They climbed, shot back, and held their footing.
Soon, one by one, the Rangers pulled themselves over the top, and in seizing the firm land at the top of these cliffs, they began to seize back the continent of Europe.

I found the following story fascinating. 'Hour by hour, how D-Day unfolded...'

Eighty years ago, almost 160,000 British, US and Canadian forces embarked on the largest amphibious invasion in history. On June 6, Allied troops crossed the English Channel by boat, aircraft and glider to attack and secure beaches in Normandy as part of Operation Overlord, with the end goal of liberating Nazi-occupied Europe and defeating Adolf Hitler’s German regime. Supreme Commander General Dwight D Eisenhower, in charge of the extraordinary offensive, looked at the cards he had been dealt and decided to go all in. What happened next has gone down in history as D-Day...

Thousands of ships carrying brave men, as well as tanks and other equipment needed to defeat Hitler’s forces, landed at five designated sites along the coast of Normandy - Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. In the accompanying graphic, you can see some of the military might used during the invasion.

I wonder if our noted resident "Historian" will chime in.

Yeah, cumulative inflation means prices are up nearly 20% since you took office and wage increases have not kept pace.

Biden: Wage increases have exceeded what the cost of inflation, which you're talking about as the prices that were pre-COVID prices.

That's a lie.

Pre-COVID prices are not the same as whether or not they--you have American, corporate America ripping off the public now. You have everything from shrinkflation to what's going on in terms of the way in which they're artificially moving significantly to increase their, their, their, their, their profits. That's not the same as inflation. That's price gouging.

Back to the claim that inflation only exists because Greedy Corporations are jacking up prices for no reason, none! Their own costs haven't gone up, they just want to increase their profits by squeezing the little guy!

As people always ask: Why do corporations only become "Greedy" when Democrats are in office?

The last two years of Presidents, two-term President's tenure are usually focused on foreign affairs. You are 81 years old, and would be 86 by the time you left office. Large majorities of Americans, including in the Democratic Party, tell pollsters they think you are too old to lead. Could you really do this job as an 85-year old man?

John Sexton has a run-down on the Hunter Biden Crack n' Gun Trial.

His ex-wfe testified that Hunter was very capable of hiding the fact that he's on crack, which will rebut anyone who claims "Hunter wasn't on crack when he bought that gun, I would have been able to tell."

CNN is shrieking that Hunter only committed drug and gun crimes over a brief ten year period, so what's the big deal?

The big drama today comes in the form of Hunter's ex-wife and ex-girlfriend both of whom were called to testify about Hunter's drug use. This is apparently too much for one CNN legal analyst to take.


"It's a shame we're here and I say that not from an opinion perspective, but as a practitioner's perspective. In going to state and going to federal court, as I do, prosecutors generally do the right thing. What's the right thing? Equitable outcomes," Jackson said on CNN.

"We know last year (he) was subject to a diversion program, which means you stay out of trouble. We're all good, you know, get your life together, move forward. Instead, we have this embarrassing trial where all his family and past exes are coming in to testify."

He may think this isn't coming from an opinion perspective but what he's saying lines up perfectly with the no harm, no foul argument introduced yesterday by the defense. Still, I'm not exactly shocked that CNN has a legal analyst whose take boils down to 'leave Hunter alone!'

Scumbag fixer Abbe Lowell is still pushing the idea that the computer was "tampered with." They're also claiming that you can't take Hunter's own texts as proof that he was smoking crack in a car when he texted his girlfriend (Beau's ex-wife, I think) that he was smoking crack in his car. He may have been mistaken, Lowell argues. Or maybe he was lying.

Or maybe it was RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION! We don't know the computer wasn't "tampered with," after all.


Remember that story about the black guy who called into a zoom hearing with a judge about his suspended license? And the judge ordered him to go to jail, because he was driving when he called in?

It was Fake News. The man's license had only been suspended due to a clerical error, which he was attempting to get resolved at the hearing. The judge didn't listen to his explanation -- he just ordered him to jail.

The guy was completely innocent, unless you would say that you're required to obey to the full a clerical error caused by bureaucratic incompetence.

And the judge showed himself just to be another brick in The Wall of governmental malfeasance.


A Michigan man swept the internet last week after a viral video showed him attending a court hearing via Zoom after he appeared to park his car. That quickly became a national story.

Should it have been?

The footage, which first made the rounds on social media, showed Corey Harris calling into a hearing before Judge J. Cedric Simpson of the Washtenaw County District Court. "I'm looking at his record. He doesn't have a license," Simpson says about a minute into the hearing. "He's suspended and he's just driving....I don't even know why he would do that." Harris' bond was promptly revoked and he was ordered to turn himself in to the local jail.

Neither of those repercussions would have anywhere near the lasting impact that the forthcoming news cycle did, which was deemed a significant enough event to merit coverage in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fox News, CNN, NBC, BBC, USA Today, and the New York Post, among other outlets.

It turns out all those stories, however, were based on a falsehood. Harris' license had been reinstated years prior and was only registering as suspended due to a clerical error. As of this writing, there has been no spate of additional articles, corrections, or a reinvigorated news cycle based around this information, because the truth here doesn't lend itself to virality and engagement.

I think the judge should have at least listened to the man. And maybe noted his demeanor. I noticed this myself -- the man didn't seem like a serial lawbreaker who was so brazen he'd call into his license suspension hearing from a car. He seemed calm, polite, unemotional, and interested in complying with court orders. It wasn't like he was arrested while driving without a license. He was driving while showing up on time for his Zoom hearing.

My bad for not saying that at the time, and for once again forgetting that the State is lethally incompetent and should be presumed guilty until it has proven itself innocent.

There's an invasion of aliens in New York. No, a different one. "Human-hand sized" spiders that travel by flying on web-parasails have come over from Asia and are demanding we force Israel to surrender to Hamas and start lining up for the Extermination Chambers.

The Joro spider is native to eastern Asia, but they have been spreading in the eastern United States since at least 2014. They can (but usually don't) grow to a size where the span of their legs is the breadth of a human hand, and their young disperse by "ballooning," wherein a young spider lets out a long, long strand of fine silk, which catches the wind and carries the baby spider aloft.

So the good news is that they only fly when they're babies -- I guess that's slightly better -- and they're also pretty harmless.

Except for being spiders.
