- The EU has denied that it deliberately targets US companies under its Digital Markets Act to impose massive fines and loot the treasuries of foreign companies, which is obviously what it does. (Yahoo)
"It applies to all companies which fulfil the clearly defined criteria for being designated as a gatekeeper in the European Union irrespective of where they are headquartered," they said.
Don't worry, we won't.
"By preventing gatekeepers from engaging in unfair practices vis-à-vis smaller companies, the DMA keeps the door open to the next wave of innovation in vital digital markets," they said.
"Of course, there is no innovation, and there are no smaller companies, because we kill them with our other regulations. Don't quote that."

An European nonprofit? Where do you come down on this? I think the rule is that you use "an" before a vowel sound. And "Europe" begins with a y-vowel sound. Y is a vowel in some cases but not others. I think in this case it's a consonant sound. Anyway: Read the whole thing. Bonus:
In 2017, the Voice of America attacked President Trump's travel ban on Muslim terrorist countries. What the VOA did not tell viewers was that its 'reporter' was a former Jihadist. In the 1980s, Masood Farivar, an Afghan Muslim, now a senior analyst at the government's Voice of America media organization, had joined Jihadist groups in Afghanistan whose members included Taliban leaders and which had worked with Al Qaeda. Farivar's Jihadi comrades included Awal Gul: the Taliban commander locked up in Gitmo after being paid $100,000 by Bin Laden to help him escape. Farivar has since mourned Awal Gul wondering "how many other Awalguls languish in Gitmo." But over the last eight years, Farivar had a new enemy, cranking out dozens of articles for the VOA with titles like, "Can Trump Be Indicted for Obstruction of Justice?", "Has Trump Done Enough to Fence Off His Business Interests?" and "Hush Money Troubles for Trump?" The only thing more troubling than the VOA, which operates under the U.S. government, waging a sustained campaign against the president was the man whose name appeared on its articles. In his memoir, 'Confessions of a Mullah Warrior', Farivar described being inspired by Yunus Khalis, Osama bin Laden's mentor, known as the Al Qaeda leader's 'Father Sheikh', who welcomed him to Afghanistan, and whose Hezb-i Islami Khalis would fight alongside Al Qaeda against American forces in Afghanistan after the Muslim terrorist attacks of September 11. The Voice of America senior analyst described the Al Qaeda ally as "deeply pious" with a "wry sense of humor" to whom "Jihad was a means to liberate Afghanistan" whose "message while simple and straightforward reasoned with me deeply." Before long, Farivar was fighting for the Jihadist group in Afghanistan alongside "Arab volunteers" shouting "Allahu Akbar". How did a former Jihadist go from the battlefields of Afghanistan to Washington D.C. and a bedroom community in Fairfax County filled with mosques and government employees, and from admiring Osama bin Laden's mentor to working for a government media agency? The answer lies in an old USAID-funded program that was supposed to train Jihadis in Afghanistan to become reporters. Instead it embedded the Jihadis into the media. Masood Farivar was one of a number of ex-Jihadis who went to work for the global media. Farivar's presence at VOA is part of the larger story of another USAID project backfiring badly. Rather than propagandizing in Afghanistan, Jihadi reporters spread propaganda in America. When a Muslim terrorist drove a truck into a French crowd on Bastille Day, killing 86 and wounding over 400, Farivar responded with an article titled, 'Learn to Live With Terrorism' Strikes Some as Good Advice". When Front Page Magazine covered the Hamas Oct 7 attacks, he wrote an article smearing us as an "anti-Muslim" hate group for telling the truth about Jihad. In VOA articles, he contended that demographic replacement by Muslims was a "right-wing conspiracy theory" and that racists were responsible for most domestic terrorism. A VOA segment credited to Farivar included the claim that, "the level of involvement in violent extremism by Muslims in the United States is still quite low. ... ... Salam Watandar, the Afghan radio network Farivar ran, operated under the umbrella of the Internews Network, an European nonprofit media group funded by everyone from Bill Gates to USAID. From there, Farivar moved to the Voice of America where he transitioned from covering Afghanistan to covering the FBI and the Justice Department.

Stranded NASA astronaut's daughter finally breaks silence as she lashes out: 'Negligence' The teen daughter of stranded NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore has spoken out about her dad for the first time, blaming 'negligence' for him being 'stuck in space.' In a heartbreaking video quietly uploaded to social media last month, Daryn, 19, said that her father had 'missed out on a lot' during his uncertain nine-month stay in space -- including Christmas and her parents' 30-year wedding anniversary. Wilmore's wife and his two daughters live in Houston, Texas, where they have been patiently awaiting his return since June of last year. 'It's been hard if we're completely honest', she said. Daryn said her frustration about her father's stay was 'less the fact that he's up there' and 'more the fact of why.' 'There's a lot of politics, there's a lot of things that I'm not at liberty to say, and that I don't know fully about,' she said. 'But there's been issues. There's been negligence. And that's the reason why this has just kept getting delayed. There's just been issue after issue after issue.' Daryn posted the video just weeks before SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk, whose company is tasked with bringing the Starliner crew back to Earth later this month, said the Biden administration left them in space for 'political reasons.' Wilmore and his crewmate, Sunita Williams, were set to return from the ISS eight days after arriving, but their return capsule was plagued by issues and NASA delayed the flight home. They are set to come back to Earth no earlier than March 19. ... Daryn shared the videos just weeks before Musk went on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast to double down on his statement that the astronauts were 'abandoned,' saying Biden rejected his offer because it would've made Donald Trump 'look good.'The astronaut himself has confirmed this.
Via David Strom who has more.
One of the NASA astronauts trapped on the International Space Station said he believes Elon Musk's claim that the Biden administration rejected the SpaceX CEO's offer to help bring the team home. Barry "Butch" Wilmore made the comment Tuesday during an in-orbit press conference with fellow castaway Sunita Williams nine months after their Boeing Starliner capsule malfunctioned and left the pair stuck on the ISS. One questioner asked about Musk's recent claim that former President Joe Biden had intentionally stalled their rescue for "political reasons." In an earlier question, Wilmore denied that politics had anything to do with the team's delayed departure, but he seemed to shift his stance when answering the later question. "I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual ... I believe him," he said. SpaceX launched a Crew Dragon capsule to rescue the pair last September, but after it docked at the space station, NASA opted to stall its return. Musk, who donated $288 million to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, told Fox News' Sean Hannity that working with him to bring the astronauts back would have made Trump "look good" and that Biden "didn't want the publicity" so close to the presidential election.

You're not going to believe this, but CNN recently lied in a "fact" check. Wait, CNN lied? Brrrrcccrrrsssshhh. Mind exploding.
Sesame Workshop will "downsize significantly" announced president and CEO Sherrie Rollins Westin on Wednesday in a note to staff. The layoffs come about two months after Max said it would stop distributing Sesame Street episodes after 2025 and within a day after more than 200 of its employees asked for Sesame Workshop to recognize that they want to form a union. Cast -- like puppeteers -- crew and writers are already unionized, said a statement from OPEIU Local 153. "Amid the changing media and funding landscape, we have made the difficult decision to reduce the size of our organization," a Sesame Workshop spokesperson wrote in an email to NPR. Last December, Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Max, announced that, after 10 years, it was not renewing its deal to fund new episodes of the iconic children's series. At the time, the corporation said its priorities had shifted and that Sesame Street was "not as core to our strategy."
This is standard leftwing "fact" checking. They begin from the conclusion that Republicans are lying because, you know, we Republicans just always lie, and then they search for arguments and tendentious readings of statements to find a pretext to claim it's false. Meanwhile, on the rare occasions they "fact" check egregious Democrat lies, they start with the opposite conclusion, that Democrats are telling the truth because Democrats are literally made of truth and holy righteousness, and seek out convoluted readings of Democrat lies that can be argued to be "true" from, as Obi-Wan said, "from a certain point of view."
Daily Caller News Foundation:
CNN issued a correction after the network inaccurately asserted that President Donald Trump "falsely claimed" the Biden administration spent $8 million to make mice transgender. During his joint address to Congress on Tuesday, Trump cited several examples of "appalling waste" he had cut, including $8.2 million in NIH-funded studies on "gender-affirming" hormone treatments mice. CNN's Deidre McPhillips initially tried to dispute the claim, arguing only about $500,000 had been allocated for similar research in monkeys -- she was later forced to issue a correction after the White House proved CNN's "fact check" inaccurate in a statement. "Last night, President Donald J. Trump highlighted many of the egregious examples of waste, fraud and abuse funded by the American taxpayers, including $8 million spent by the Biden Administration 'for making mice transgender,'" the White House statement reads. "The Fake News losers at CNN immediately tried to fact check it, but President Trump was right (as usual)." "Trump falsely claimed that the Department of Government Efficiency identified government spending of '$8 million for making mice transgender,'" CNN's original fact check read. The White House then released a statement listing six NIH grants for studies on hormone treatments in mice, a combined total of $8,290,053. The Biden-era grants included $455,000 to study "gender-affirming hormone therapy on HIV-vaccine induced immune responses, $2.5 million to study the reproductive consequences of hormone therapy, $299,940 to study testosterone therapy on breast cancer risk and treatment outcomes, $735,113 to study the effects of hormone therapy on mouse microbiomes, $1.2 million to study "androgen effects on the reproductive neuroendocrine axis" and $3.1 million to study hormones as mediators of sex influences in asthma. All listed studies involved hormonal replacement in mice. CNN's initial fact check Wednesday morning focused narrowly on three NIH studies. One focused on a $299,940 grant from the National Cancer Institute seeking "to compare breast cancer rates among female mice and those receiving testosterone therapy." Two others from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases totaling $455,120 focused on how "an HIV vaccine worked in mice that had received cross-sex hormone therapy." The outlet later updated its page, changing "Trump falsely claimed" to "This claim needs context." The outlet also explicitly acknowledged its earlier error, writing "An earlier version of this item incorrectly characterized as false Trump's claim about federal money being spent for 'making mice transgender.'" "The White House list made clear what Trump, in the speech, did not: The studies were meant to figure out how these treatments might affect the health of humans who take them, not for the purpose of making mice transgender," McPhillips wrote, adding "context" to the initially false article.

So many surprises and plot twists that I'm having trouble keeping up.
Judge's Failure To Recuse Himself From Trump Spending Freeze Case Shows How Court Is RiggedThis is the guy who essentially purchased his judgeship. Democrats are no longer hiding their Tamany Hall corruption any longer. Meanwhile, in a closely related Fake Lawsuit, the Supreme Court sent a case back to corrupt Democrat judge. The judge had ordered Trump to pay out $2 billion despite the elected president's decision to cancel these grift-grants. The Supreme Court declined to overrule the judge, but did send the case back, instructing the judge to be more precise about how much of the $2 billion he believed must be spent. The judge appears to have blown this order off completely, and has just re-demanded Trump to pay out the $2 billion in grift money by Monday. The Supreme Court plainly envisioned this judge would re-examine his decision and narrow it. Nope, the corrupt hack said YOLO and just issued the same order again, this time with a 48 hour deadline.
A nonprofit board member himself, Judge McConnell has a motive to keep federal funding flowing to nonprofits.
Beth Brelje
Judge John McConnell, chief judge of the federal district court of Rhode Island, has such a deep conflict of interest in one of the Trump Administration's spending freeze cases that it is obvious he should have recused himself. His continued involvement in the case is another sign that the court system is rigged, leaving the majority of U.S. citizens who voted for President Donald Trump's policies watching lawfare instead of seeing progress. When the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) told federal department heads in January to place a temporary pause on grant, loan, and other financial assistance programs, the left rushed to court to fight it. The OMB wanted to assure taxpayer money was not going to support programs promoting diversity equity and inclusion (DEI), woke gender ideology, and the Green New Deal. In this case, a group of 22 states and the District of Columbia went to court calling the administration's freeze on federal funding unconstitutional. McConnell ordered the administration to unfreeze the funds and the administration is now appealing. ...
McConnell has held an 18-year leadership role in Crossroads Rhode Island, a $31 million nonprofit that gets over half its funding from federal money. It received more than $18 million in 2023 according to its tax exempt 990 form, first reported by researchers at America First Legal (AFL). McConnell is a member of the board of directors for Crossroads Rhode Island. Founded in 1894 as The Travelers Aid Committee of the YWCA, Crossroads now builds and manages low income housing. Much of its funding comes through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). AFL reported Crossroads Rhode Island received more than $128 million in federal and state funding by way of federal funding during McConnell's time on the board. Helping the poor is lucrative when the taxpayers foot the bill. In 2023, Crossroads Rhode Island's highest paid employee was then-CEO Karen Santilli, who earned almost $374,000 including base salary and deferred compensation, the nonprofit's tax exempt 990 form shows. Santilli has since left Crossroads Rhode Island to become the CEO of the YMCA of Greater Providence. ... Is it for housing? No. The grant money is quite flexible. According USAspending.gov, the money is for "economic development initiative, community project funding, and miscellaneous grants." It may be used "to provide investment in a wide variety of projects such as housing, homelessness prevention, workforce training, public facilities, parks, resilience planning and other critical infrastructure and services," according to the federal grant guide book. ... As a board member on for Crossroads Rhode Island, which has partnered with One Neighborhood Builders, McConnell had a clear motive to keep federal funding flowing. AFL notes two federal laws McConnell appears to have ignored. One requires judges to disqualify themselves if there is even an appearance that their impartiality might be questioned. The law also "requires judges to disqualify themselves when they are a fiduciary or have any other interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding." AFL posted on X. It does not take a law degree to see McConnell should recuse himself from this case.
Is this what the Supreme Court had in mind when instructing Judge Amir Ali to proceed with his TRO ordering payment to USAID groups "with due regard for the feasibility of any compliance timelines"? Two business days? ... So why Monday? Two possibilities come to mind, and they are definitely not mutually exclusive. First, Ali might want to prevent another appeal of this order from reaching the Supreme Court again, where he knows four justices want another crack at this case. Second, Ali may want to punish the Trump administration for challenging him as well as cutting this spending, and is setting them up for a failure which will allow Ali to assess punitive damages and other sanctions when compliance can't be achieved. That may be why Ali is holding off on the specifics on the amounts and recipients, too, although that's more of a hindrance than an obstacle to appeal. They will need the full order before taking this to the DC Circuit court of appeals, which tried to slow-walk the last appeal before John Roberts reached down and grabbed it out of frustration. This time, the DoJ may appeal to both levels concurrently, especially since it's clear that Ali is defying the Supreme Court order to consider the "feasibility of compliance timelines" with another absurd deadline for payment. That should come back before the court that issued the instruction, and again, at least four justices would agree. Will Chamberlain of the Article III project explained how lawless this ruling was. The grant grifters claimed that Trump was violating their contract with the government. But contract disputes with the government are not brought to district courts. The federal government has sovereign immunity, and does not grant permission to sue them. The federal government does allow lawsuits, but not in Article III courts, but instead in executive courts, specifically Federal Claims Courts. Amy Coney Barrett and Roberts refused to simply tell this judge, who has been on the job for a single month, that he had no jurisdiction. Instead, they continue to play pussyfoot with the #Resistance.

People need to go to prison for 40 years for this.
$375B EPA slush fund handled by John Podesta gave billions to charities founded only months earlierThe literal hundreds of billions of dollars were given to "pop up" NGOs started by Democrat cronies. Then these NGOs handed some of the money off to other groups. Of course, all of the middlemen took their cut of the $375 billion first. Mafia bosses get to dip their beaks, you know.
The Biden administration funneled at least $20 billion dollars into environmental groups, most of which had only recently been founded, The Post has discovered. In one case, former Vice President Kamala Harris handed over a check for nearly $7 billion to Bethesda, Maryland, based group Climate United Fund, which does not appear in the IRS's charities database, and has no federal filings. The non-profit fund had only been incorporated in Delaware on November 30, 2023, according to public records, five months before Harris handed over the cash in April 2024. The Climate United Fund then announced "the historic investment" in a press release, noting the group's work "delivers benefits like cleaner air...and increased energy security."' However, because the company is so new, there is no publicly published accounting of how it plans to spend the $7 billion.
...Of course. Of course. How could it be otherwise?
"Ethically speaking, it's concerning," said Laurie Styron, CEO of Charity Watch, an independent charity watchdog group. "What was the purpose of creating middlemen entities when there are so many established groups in the climate space with good track records? What was the value-added in [by] doing it this way, especially with such large sums of taxpayer funds?" The cash for the charity came from a huge $370 billion climate slush fund of taxpayer money overseen by John Podesta, a political consultant who was chair of Hillary Clinton's failed 2016 bid for president and White House chief of staff to Bill Clinton.
In 2022, President Joe Biden named Podesta to helm the climate fund, which resulted from the Inflation Reduction Act, a 2022 law that was aimed at combatting climate change and creating clean energy. Last year, EPA advisor Brent Efron was caught on video describing how the agency hastily parceled out a related $20 billion climate fund that was held by Citibank before the end of the Biden administration. "Get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in ... it's like we're on the Titanic and we're throwing gold bars off the edge," he said in video posted online by activist group Project Veritas.

The headline is wrong: There was one single thing he actually signed, his notice that he was withdrawing from the 2024 race.
Everything else was signed by the Biden staffers' Electronic President Substitute.See the link for more. I have no idea what happens in this situation.
The Biden presidency might have been the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the American people. A shocking investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has revealed that virtually every document bearing Joe Biden's signature during his presidency was signed by an autopen -- except for one. What makes this revelation particularly damning is that the only document confirmed to have Biden's actual signature was his letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Let that sink in for a moment. Remember when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed his discussion with Biden when Biden couldn't recall signing the executive order halting LNG exports? Now we know why -- he probably didn't. The real question is: Who did? Who was running the country while Biden was not all there? Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey isn't letting this slide. He's demanding that the Department of Justice investigate whether Biden's obvious cognitive decline allowed unelected bureaucrats to essentially run the government without presidential oversight. If this is true -- and let's be honest, all signs point to yes -- every executive order, every pardon, and every official action taken under Biden's name could be constitutionally void. Bailey's letter to Michael E. Horowitz, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, spells it out perfectly. I write to request that you conduct a full investigation into President Biden's mental capacity in his final days in office. By now, Biden's mental decline is famous. Under the 25th Amendment, his inability to make decisions should have meant a succession of power. Instead, it appears staffers and officers in the Biden administration may have exploited Biden's incapacity so they could issue orders without an accountable President of sound mind approving them. That would explain why the Biden administration's orders were aggressively much farther to the left than any previous President. If in fact Biden's staffers were exploiting his mental decline, those orders are null and void.

Finally.
From John Sexton at Hot Air, terror sympathizer radicals are taking over libraries and making threats while wearing masks.See the link for more. Rosenbury says that, despite the criminals wearing masks, they're identifying the jihadists.
The pro-Hamas students at Barnard College are at it again. For those who missed the backstory, here it is. Last week this group, which is called CUAD, occupied an administrative building to protest the expulsion days earlier of two of their fellow activists. The expulsion was in response to a classroom disruption that happened on the first day of the semester. In an effort to get the school to reverse course on the expulsions, CUAD demanded a meeting with Barnard President Laura Ann Rosenbury. And after hours of chanting and drumming that disrupted classes in the building, they agreed to a meeting the following day. But that meeting never happened. President Rosenbury said she would only sit down with three representatives from the group if they removed their masks. They refused. And then she expelled another student over a building takeover that happened last spring. Unlike some other university administrators, President Rosenbury seems to be taking a harder line. Monday she wrote an opinion piece for the Chronicle of Higher Education titled "When Student Protest Goes Too Far."
On the first day of classes this January, four masked individuals threatened both our educational mission and our community by disrupting a History of Modern Israel course at Columbia in which several Barnard students were enrolled. This disruption was not designed to expand thinking or advance civil discourse. Instead, it was a calculated act of intimidation, with the disruptors taunting and loudly speaking over the professor, distributing antisemitic flyers, and refusing to join the discussion even when the professor graciously invited them to sit in on the class. This wasn't an isolated incident but an escalation of an ongoing threat to our community. Over the last year and a half, an unauthorized group of anonymous individuals calling themselves Columbia University Apartheid Divest have exploited the conflict in the Middle East to try to tear our campus community -- our Barnard home -- apart. They operate in the shadows, hiding behind masks and Instagram posts with Molotov cocktails aimed at Barnard buildings, antisemitic tropes about wealth, influence, and "Zionist billionaires," and calls for violence and disruption at any cost. They claim Columbia University's name, but the truth is, because their members wear masks, no one really knows whose interests they serve.
The Free Beacon just identified six of the radicals.
Fox News:
Nearly half the radical activists arrested Wednesday after storming a Barnard College library are Columbia University students, a Washington Free Beacon review found. Of the nine individuals arrested after storming Millstein Library, four are Columbia students: Gabrielle Wimer, Hannah Puelle, Yunseo Chung, and Symmes Cannon. One, Tramy Dong, is a Barnard student. Another, Christopher Holmes, attends Union Theological Seminary, a Columbia affiliate, while the remaining three appear unassociated with either school. They were charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing, and obstructing governmental administration, according to an NYPD spokesman. Barnard president Laura Ann Rosenbury, however, stressed that the police weren't called in because the radicals stormed Milstein Library. Rather, she felt the building needed to be cleared to protect the broader student body because of a bomb threat in the building. The radicals rushed in through a back exit that an accomplice held open, hoisted an effigy of Rosenbury, and passed out Hamas propaganda. They refused to leave, even after they were alerted of the bomb threat. Law enforcement eventually cleared the agitators from the library, but the protesters refused to clear the courtyard outside and clashed with police. Officers began making arrests. ...
Barnard's vice president for development and alumnae relations Michael Farley, however, in a statement claimed that "none of the individuals arrested on our campus Wednesday evening are Barnard students." It is unclear if Dong was one of the two students the college expelled for storming an Israeli history class at Columbia in January and targeting Jewish students with anti-Semitic flyers. Barnard did not respond to a request for comment. The radicals stormed Barnard's Milbank Hall last week to protest those expulsions. A third Barnard student was expelled soon after for storming a Columbia building last spring. The agitators behind Wednesday's incident demanded the reversal of all three. A mob led by Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD) and Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP)--the Ivy League institution's most anti-Semitic student groups--stormed Barnard's Milbank Hall on Feb. 26, sending a security guard to the hospital and causing $30,000 in damages. CUAD and SJP also took credit for orchestrating Wednesday's incident at the Milstein Library. Once inside, the agitators handed out Hamas propaganda justifying the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attack. They demanded the immediate reversal of the Barnard students' expulsions, "amnesty for all students disciplined for pro-Palestine action," and a complete "abolition of the corrupt Barnard disciplinary process." They also renamed the library after Hussam Abu Safiya, a Gaza hospital director the Israel Defense Forces accused of being a terrorist and holding a rank in Hamas. Even though the agitators voted to stay overnight, until Rosenbury returned to campus in the morning, a bomb threat reported in the building forced Barnard vice president for strategic communications Robin Levine to try to evacuate the library. She told students, "You need to leave now, this is not a joke," but the protesters refused to vacate the building, telling her, "you're lying" and "prove it."
The New York Police Department took multiple protesters into custody at Barnard College late Wednesday after students occupied the school library to protest the expulsion of three students. On Wednesday evening, the NYPD was called to the Milstein Center on the prestigious campus after a bomb threat and hours of anti-Israel agitators demonstrating inside the campus building. ...Now comes the turn: Trump and Rubio have had it with foreign agent "students" intimidating other students (Jewish students in particular) and breaking American law. Probably at the behest of foreign governments and/or terror groups.
The protests came after the New York City-based university took disciplinary action against anti-Israel agitators who broke into Hamilton Hall at Columbia University's New York City campus in April 2024. The Columbia University Apartheid Divest group said in a news release Monday that Barnard College, which is part of Columbia University, expelled three students. One student was expelled for participating in the occupation last April, while another was suspended for their involvement. Barnard also expelled two students for disrupting a class called the "History of Modern Israel." The duo allegedly wore headscarves to hide their faces when they ran into the classroom and threw antisemitic pamphlets around the room. "Under federal law, we cannot comment on the academic and disciplinary records of students. That said, as a matter of principle and policy, Barnard will always take decisive action to protect our community as a place where learning thrives, individuals feel safe, and higher education is celebrated," Barnard President Laura Rosenbury said in a statement. "This means upholding the highest standards and acting when those standards are threatened. In a statement, Columbia University leadership said the latest campus disruption "is not acceptable conduct."

@BillMelugin_ BREAKING: Per a senior State Department official, yesterday, the State Dept. revoked the first visa for an "alien who was previously cited for criminal behavior in connection with Hamas-supporting disruptions". I'm told this person was a university student, and "ICE will proceed with removing this person from the country." The official says the State Dept. reviewed over 100,000 visas, and records showed the Biden administration canceled zero visas for pro Hamas activities or associated criminal behavior, despite the wave of protests on college campuses that broke out after the 10/7/2023 terror attacks on Israel.
Secretary Marco RubioMarco Rubio's State Department will execute a "Catch and Revoke" program, deporting foreign terror-supporting radicals engaging in illegal "protests."
@SecRubio Those who support designated terrorist organizations, including Hamas, threaten our national security. The United States has zero tolerance for foreign visitors who support terrorists. Violators of U.S. law -- including international students -- face visa denial or revocation, and deportation.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is launching an AI-fueled "Catch and Revoke" effort to cancel the visas of foreign nationals who appear to support Hamas or other designated terror groups, senior State Department officials tell Axios. Why it matters: The effort -- which includes AI-assisted reviews of tens of thousands of student visa holders' social media accounts -- marks a dramatic escalation in the U.S. government's policing of foreign nationals' conduct and speech. The reviews of social media accounts are particularly looking for evidence of alleged terrorist sympathies expressed after Hamas' Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, officials say. Officials plan to examine internal databases to see whether any visa holders were arrested but allowed to stay in the country during the Biden administration. They say they're also checking news reports of anti-Israel demonstrations and Jewish students' lawsuits that highlight foreign nationals allegedly engaged in antisemitic activity without consequence. The State Department is working with the departments of Justice and Homeland Security in what one senior State official called a "whole of government and whole of authority approach."Update: It gets worse for Columbia.

The Trump administration is cutting off $400 million in federal funding to Columbia University, claiming it has failed to take steps to confront antisemitism on campus after Hamas's October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, The Free Press has learned. The cuts represent the federal government's first round of grant cancellations for Columbia, according to the administration's newly formed antisemitism task force, which is leading the effort. Columbia has over $5 billion in active federal grants that are being reviewed by the government. Leo Terrell, the head of the DOJ's antisemitism task force, said the funding cuts are "only the beginning." "Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding," Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in a statement. "For too long, Columbia has abandoned that obligation to Jewish students studying on its campus."

“The Latest: Britain’s Starmer says Europe must take responsibility for defending itself” [AP – 3/02/2025]
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Europe must take responsibility for defending itself as world leaders met in London to discuss working together to stop Russia’s war in Ukraine. Britain hosted the summit Sunday to shore up support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after an astonishing Oval Office meltdown with President Donald Trump that left many uncertain where the once staunch allies stood. The prospect of not having to subsidize and provide virtually all the defense for our parasitic “allies” caused Americans to enthusiastically embrace Europe’s response. It was one of those “Your terms are acceptable moments.” Of course, we all know that Europe’s ability to provide for its own defense is as laughable as a little boy asserting his independence by running away from home with his belongings tied up in a bindle. The sad truth, in my opinion, is that Europeans could not take up arms to defend themselves if they had to, nor would they.
After spending the past few days digging into the state of military readiness in most of Europe I’ve come to the conclusion that Western Europe could be, with minimal difficulty, conquered by the National Guard of any one American state

It's Friday, so I thought we might out to have a little fun coming up with funny analogs to Europe asserting its self-reliance. Here are three I’ve thought of. I welcome your additional suggestions. 1) Arthur (Dudley Moore) getting cut off from his allowance and coming up with a solution – he’d get a job. At the 1:00 minute mark of this video he brashly (and drunkenly) proclaims, “I’ll get a job! That’s what I’ll do. I’ll get a job. I’ll work! This is going to be great.”
2) David Hogg announcing he was going to start his own pillow company to compete with My Pillow.

The Biden [alleged] presidency might have been the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the American people. A shocking investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has revealed that virtually every document bearing Joe Biden's signature during his presidency was signed by an autopen — except for one. Now we know why — he probably didn't. The real question is: Who did? Who was running the country while Biden was not all there? The use of the presidential autopen dates back to the 1950s, and there's been much debate about its legality. In 2013, Barack Obama became the first president to sign a bill into law using an autopen. He was vacationing in Hawaii at the time. His office relied on a 30-page memo from President George W. Bush's legal team asserting that the president's presence was not required as long as said president had authorized the signature. What's not clear, in the case of Biden, is who was running the autopen and whether Biden was aware it was happening. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is demanding that the Department of Justice investigate whether Biden's obvious cognitive decline allowed unelected bureaucrats to essentially run the government without presidential oversight. If this is true — and let's be honest, all signs point to yes — every executive order, every pardon, and every official action taken under Biden's name could be constitutionally void.Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants was non-compos mentis well before the 2020 campaign began, and as time went on his dementia was more and more evident. He served as VP only in the role of being the old white man supposedly representing the fictitious reasonable/respectable/rah-rah-rah pro-American Democrat party as opposed to the purple-lipped dog-eating Muslim son-of-a-Stalinist Obama whom Biden's presence as Veep was supposed to counterbalance and help allay whatever hesitancy the American people had about Mr. Clean and articulate black man who only spoke Jive when he had to. Dementia or not, Biden's role between 2020 and 2025 was only as a puppet for Obama's third term of fundamentally transforming America into a socialist hellhole. For which Biden was able to grift and graft who know how many multi millions. On top of the millions he made selling access to every office he ever held for over 50 years. PSaki-Psircling back, Will Pam Bondi and Trump actually be able to declare everything Biden enacted as null and void? And what would be the blowback. It'll be interesting considering the Democrats have been whipsawing between distancing themselves from Biden after Chlamydia Harris' disastrous failure as well as the dementia revelations and how either no one knew about it or everyone knew about it but covered it up. And speaking of Pam Bondi, now all of a sudden the Epstein files are going to be redacted with gallons of Sharpie Marker black ink because of national security concerns? Look, I'm no Intel honcho, but something here stinks to high heaven. How does revealing which Democrat, Republican or celebrity was engaging in pederasty risk our national security? And on a completely different note, perhaps, at least for me, the sine qua non of Leftist bestiality and degeneracy is the eruption of the worst abject Jew hatred since the Muslim invasion and pogrom of 10/7 from Gaza. I mean, really?
No sooner had Israel lowered the bodies of the two murdered Bibas children into their graves, than radical leftists began accusing Jews of “white supremacy” for mourning them. The Empire State Building and a number of other national landmarks had changed their colors to orange to honor the two redheaded children, 9-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel, and people of conscience, Jewish and non-Jewish, had adopted orange to memorialize them. “This is just white nationalism,” accused ‘Séamus’ Malekafzali, the son of an Iranian Marxist, who is published at The Nation. . . . . . Socialists, national or democratic, who tear down the posters of murdered children, desecrate their memorials and denounce Jews for mourning their own children have labeled any opposition to the murder of Jews as “white supremacy”.Only killing Jews isn’t white supremacy. Their new definition of “white supremacy” is opposing another Holocaust. The ultimate Jewish crime in Israel is not any of the catalog of lies, smears, conspiracy theories, historical revisionism and ceaseless moral inversion that form the case for ‘Palestine’, a fictional entity consisting of a genocidal population of colonists, it’s the Jewish refusal to be murdered. It’s not about red hair, but about red blood.
Have a great weekend. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Top Story
- The Trump administration is planning to demand the social media accounts of people applying for green cards, US citizenship, and asylum or refugee status. (The Verge)
Which is entirely sensible. You'd have to be stupid to document criminal plans online where anyone can read them, but people are indeed stupid."One way of looking at this is that it's an attempt at basically catching up to modernity," Kathleen Bush-Joseph, an analyst at the Migration Policy Institute's US immigration program, told The Verge. Bush-Joseph, whose work partly focuses on efforts to modernize the US immigration system, said that the immigration system "does not really reflect the reality of the twenty-first century in important ways."
I'm pretty sure that's not what The Verge wanted to hear. Two documentary filmmakers sued the first Trump administration over the State Department's social media policy in 2019, arguing that it violated the First Amendment and hadn't proven necessary to protect national security interests. ... A federal judge dismissed the case with prejudice in 2023.
So perish unbelievers.

Not knowing where to start, so I'll just do so, however clumsily. I've asked Weird Dave to edit and proof this for me, as my typing has declined from 80 wpm, down to about 8. As to my scarcity here. Goes to this, really. I'll have to type this in bits and pieces. Put it together and into WD's able hands. When he posts this, I will in NO WAY be able to respond to even a single greeting or inquiry. Hence, I greet you all, and will gladly wave at your words there on my screen. My fingers though, grow weak and quail at that many keystrokes. Same with chewing. I'm a walking skeleton, it's a job to chew much, no matter how good the fare. Feeding tube soon to follow. Otherwise, I'm still able to care for myself in all ways, even driving. Down to 2 shotguns and 3 rifles for sale. All the handguns are gone, save for my carry gun (which IWB helps to hold my pants up) and Herself New Dawn's small battery at arms. With which she's highly skilled. Don't piss her off, 'eh? Thanks to Federal ALS legislation, the VA was directed to adjudge my case as Fully Service Related. So, I get all the "boosts". Healthcare, equipment, household ADA mods, and boost to Social Security. I requested a Home Health aide, but when Herself New Dawn saw that I had spec'd a mid-30s buxom lass, well... the doctors say my bruising should subside any day now... Much more to report, but hands now tire. Take it away, Weird Dave!I didn't change a word. It's hard to edit through tears. We love you Jim. – Weird Dave] I’ve also had the good fortune of corresponding with Jim Sunk New Dawn, as Galveston is a place that is dear to my heart, where I spent a lot of time in my younger days chasing speckled trout and other coastal delights. I’ve said a prayer for Jim, his loved ones, and those who are caring for him, and I encourage you to do so too. He’s family to all of us.
Beautiful, beautiful TexasThe Alamo obviously loomed large in the entire American psyche too, as evidenced by the ongoing fascination with David Crockett, the many movies made about the Alamo, and the lingering power of William Travis’ letter from the Alamo. Eleven days before the Alamo fell, Col. Travis sent his famous letter which read:
Where the beautiful bluebonnets grow
We’re proud of our forefathers
Who fought at the Alamo
Commandancy of the The Alamo Bejar, Feby. 24th. 1836 To the People of Texas & All Americans in the World- Fellow Citizens & compatriots- I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna - I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man - The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken - I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls - I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch - The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country - Victory or Death.

Poll: People Want Musk to Keep Cutting Spending, CNN Poll Finds
Here's Obama judge Beryl Howell, who just insurrected and assumed the powers of the President and ordered Trump to re-hire someone he'd fired.
She looks as you'd imagine she would. They always do.

Pretty women don't become Democrats. The Democrat Party is the government Husband of Last Resort for unmarriageable women. The Guardian:
The framers of the US constitution "made clear that no one in our system of government was meant to be king -- the President included -- and not just in name only", the judge Beryl A Howell, wrote in the ruling. Howell presided over the hearing held on Wednesday on a motion for summary judgment in the District of Columbia. "The President does not have the authority to terminate members of the National Labor Relations Board at will, and his attempt to fire plaintiff from her position on the Board was a blatant violation of the law," she wrote. "A president who touts an image of himself as a 'king' or a 'dictator,' perhaps as his vision of effective leadership, fundamentally misapprehends the role under Article II of the US Constitution," wrote Howell. Article II of the US Constitution outlines the executive powers and responsibilities of the president. Howell continued, "in our constitutional order, the president is tasked to be a conscientious custodian of the law, albeit an energetic one, to take care of effectuating his enumerated duties, including the laws enacted by the Congress and as interpreted by the Judiciary". Wilcox filed the lawsuit early last month, alleging her removal was a "blatant violation" of the National Labor Relations Act, which stipulates that members of the board can only be removed for negligence or misconduct. Her removal left the board with only two members, lacking the quorum of at least three members required to rule on cases. "I'm ready to get back to work," said Wilcox after the hearing in a speech outside the courthouse today. "It's not just about me, but I'm glad to be the face of this fight."How is it that leftwing judges keep getting "randomly assigned" to lawsuits against Trump?

He didn't put it in those words. Instead, he said it's "deeply unfair" to demand that girls allow themselves to be beaten up and run over by men in "girls" sports.

Billboard Chris
@BillboardChris An earthquake just hit the Democrats. Gavin Newsom concedes it is unfair that males are competing against females in sport. Speaking with Charlie Kirk, he said "I think it's an issue of fairness, I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness -- it's deeply unfair." Newsom also agreed that the most politically destructive attack ads from Trump's campaign featured Kamala Harris' support for providing taxpayer-funded gender transition-related medical care for detained immigrants and federal prisoners. "She didn't even react to it, which was even more devastating," Newsom said, suggesting upward of 90 percent of Americans disagreed with Harris' position. "Then you had the video [of Harris] as a validator. Brutal," Newsom added. "It was a great ad." Kirk challenged Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential hopeful, to speak out against AB Hernandez, a transgender high school track star from California whose triple jump event in the women's competition is drawing fierce backlash from the right. Newsom said he has four children of his own -- including two daughters -- and noted that both he and his wife participated in college-level sports, she in soccer and he in baseball. "I revere sports, so the issue of fairness is completely legit," Newsom said. "And I saw that -- the last couple years, boy did I [see] how you guys were able to weaponize that issue at another level." Kirk challenged Newsom over his use of the word "weaponize," and Newsom replaced it with "highlight." Newsom's interview with Kirk was friendly, sometimes exceedingly so. He mentioned the influence Kirk and other MAGA-world figures have had on his 13-year-old son, distanced himself from the use of pronouns and the gender-neutral term "Latinx," called police defunding "lunacy," denounced "cancel culture" and agreed that there had been some internal issues in the leadership of the Black Lives Matter organization. Newsom said Kirk was right when he contended that Republicans were capitalizing politically by painting Democrats as out of step with a strong majority of Americans on the issue. Earlier this week, Senate Democrats blocked a GOP-led effort to bar transgender girls from female youth sports. "I agree with you," Newsom said. "We're getting crushed on it. Crushed. Crushed."
Democrats, including partisan Democrat Ron Filipkowski who claims to be a True Republican in the stinky mold of Noted Conservative David French but also he votes in Democrat primaries, says he'll never vote for Newsom because he... platformed Charlie Kirk. This is a standard True Republican position, as you all know. All True Republicans demand that conservatives be deplatformed. Classic Reaganism, really.

Michael ShellenbergerWell, no: But there is a preference cascade among Democrats seeking to run in national elections, or statewide elections in swing states. You better believe that any Democrat in a safe district or blue state will continue to push Peak Trans policies. For example: Leftwing podcaster and rich bitch Nepo Baby Emma Vigland went on twitter to laugh at the brain damage suffered by Payton McNabb due to having the ball spiked in her face by a man.
@shellenberger Gavin Newsom has come out against allowing boys and men in girls' and women's sports. Finally. The preference cascade against trans madness is accelerating.

They Surround Him and Sing "We Shall Overcome"
It's Selma all over again. Any time you punish a black person for violating the rules or the law, it's Selma all over again.
It's a violation of civil rights to ever find fault with a black person. That's the true meaning of "racial equality." Question: Green was ordered to stand in the well of the House and accept his censure. Instead, he coordinated a mass protest against the censure and had his fellow diseased thugs sing for his glory. He therefore defied the Congress. Is there a way to escalate this, then? Congressmen can be excluded from Congress.Posted by: Ace at 04:18 PM | Comments (360) | Trackbacks (Suck)
