"Take Back Our Country" Convoy Arrives In Texas

The Take Back Our Border convoy has traveled across the United States to bring attention to the border crisis and the reality of "open border policies."

Take Back Our Border leader Dr. Pete Chambers and Senate candidate Ben Luna, R-N.M., joined "Fox & Friends First" Friday to sound the alarm about the growing crisis, including the drugs coming across the border.

"The fentanyl is, I call it, a chemical warfare across the border. The drug trade is tremendous," said Chambers, an Army veteran.

Speaking from near Austin, Texas, a woman participating in the convoy said Americans should be alarmed at the number of "single, military-age men" who are entering the country.

"This is an invasion and our country can't sustain this... We wonder, why are you allowing this to happen in our country?" she asked.

Chambers told host Todd Piro that he believes the goal of the ongoing border policies under the Biden administration is "complete destabilization," which he said is overwhelming the system.

The noted Globalist Establishment Shill Homosexual Groomer Ron DeSantis just sent more troops and cops to help defend the border -- from Biden.

Gov. Ron DeSantis will deploy as many as 1,000 Florida National Guard troops, plus members of his Florida State Guard and law enforcement officers, to back up Texas in its standoff with the Biden administration over the U.S.-Mexico border.

The governor, who long has complained about border enforcement, announced the deployment Thursday during a news conference in Jacksonville, flanked by uniformed law officers and military personnel. He didn't say exactly how many people will make the trip.

"It's sad that you don't have a president willing to just put his foot down and say I'm not going to let this happen to my country. But in the absence of that leadership and the face of dereliction of duty we're going to step up and do our job," DeSantis said.

The fresh troops will join 90 officers of the Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement that DeSantis has already deployed to the border, according to numbers provided by the governor's office.

Meanwhile, the GOP forced the Democrats to take another "walk the plank" vote. The newest proposal -- which should already be a law -- is to make DUI a deportable offense.

150 Democrats voted against it, because protecting illegal alien drunk driving killers is more important than protecting American lives.

Illegal alien drunk driving killers are higher on the "victim pyramid," doncha know. Murdered Americans? Quite a bit lower.

Over one hundred Democrats voted against a bill intending to deport illegal migrants caught driving under the influence (DUI).

The bill, titled Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act, passed the House with a 274-150 vote, with all voting against the legislation being Democrats, according to the roll call vote. Fifty-nine Democrats joined all 215 Republicans to vote in favor of the legislation.

Some of the Democrats who voted in favor of the legislation include Reps. Henry Cuellar and Colin Allred of Texas, Pennsylvania Rep. Brendan Foyle, California Rep. Jimmy Panetta and New York Rep. Patrick Ryan.

The bill makes driving while impaired grounds for barring a non-U.S. national from entry into the U.S. and for deportation, according to the legislation's description. The individual must be convicted of the offense to be subjected to deportation.

Republican North Carolina Rep. Greg Murphy cited an incident where Jose Guadalupe Menjivar-Alas, an illegal migrant from El Salvador, killed a 47-year-old mother and her 16-year-old son while driving under the influence in December. Before the incident, Menjivar-Alas had been deported four separate times after entering the U.S. undetected, according to exclusive reporting by the Daily Caller News Foundation. "This month, an illegal immigrant who had been drinking and driving killed a family. This individual had been deported 4 times and arrested 3 times on DUI suspicion," Murphy said.

NBC "News" Poll: "Biden's Presidency in Peril, Declined In Every Measure"

At the behest of the delusionary White House, the left is ginning up the most desperate campaign of overpraising Joe Biden -- claiming he's the most successful president in history. It's so incredible it sounds like they're being sarcastic.

Adam Carolla was nigh-apoplectic over the "narcissistic sociopath" Gavin Newsom making this claim about Joe Biden.

Maybe they think the key to beating Trump is to engage in Trumpian puffery, wowing listeners with a litany of dubious superlatives?

I don't know. But the public isn't buying the "Joe Biden is the most successful president in history" Soviet propaganda campaign.

President Joe Biden hit yet another new low in his approval rating (37%) in the latest NBC News poll released Sunday, raising concern of the Democrat pollster, who said the "damning" results show "a presidency in peril."

Former President Donald Trump not only leads Biden by 5 points (47%-42%) in the national poll, but also leads by big margins:

23 points on mental and physical health to be president (46%-23%)

22 points on handling the economy (55%-33%)

21 points on dealing with crime and violence (50%-29%)

16 points on being competent and effective (48%-32%)

11 points on improving America's standing in the world (47%-36%)

35 points on securing the southern border (57%-22%)

Illegal immigration has been widely deemed the No. 1 voting issue, according to exit polls in the early GOP primary states.

47% is close to where I'd say that Trump needs to be -- about 48% will win this race.

"What is most concerning is the erosion of Biden's standing against Trump compared to four years ago," Democrat pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates told NBC News.

"On every measure compared to 2020, Biden has declined. Most damning, the belief that Biden is more likely to be up to the job -- the chief tenet of the Biden candidacy -- has evaporated."

With 73% of registered voters say the U.S. is on the wrong track under Biden, the only silver lining for the sitting president and Horwitt is there remains time to turn the numbers back around.

"Biden can take solace that we are in January and not October 2024," Horwitt added. "At this stage in prior cycles, attitudes can change."

He's doubling down on all of his current policies. How can he change them, given that he is, according to the White House and its surrogates, "the most successful president in the history of the United States"??!

A conviction of Trump won't do it for Biden:

Biden backers might have to hope for a conviction of Trump on one of the four indictments he faces. If Trump is convicted of a felony, Biden actually leads Trump by 2 points (45%-43%), but that is a statistical tie within the margin of error.

This is tough:

[B]iden's campaign made its case in 2020 on being more competent and effective, but that advantage is now squarely in Trump's favor by 16 points, according to the poll. It is a 25-point swing from June 2020 -- the height of the George Floyd riots and COVID-19 pandemic backlash.

Nationally, Trump leads Biden by a stunning (in this poll -- see the closing paragraph) five points, 47 to 42 percent.

That's a nine-point swing in Trump's direction since July of last year when Biden was up four, 49 to 45 percent.

Currently, only 35 percent of Hispanics, 29 percent of young people (18-34), and 27 percent of Independents approve of the job Biden's doing.

For contrast, in this same poll in early 2020, Trump had an approval rating of 46 percent and still lost (allegedly).

On the general question of favorability, only 36 percent view Biden favorably, while 54 percent view him unfavorably. That puts him underwater -18 points.

Trump's favorable/unfavorable rating of 38/52 is four net points healthier at -14 points.

THE MORNING RANT: The Trans-Children Era is About to Be Memory-Holed & the Perpetrators Will Be Disavowing Involvement

The trans-children social contagion is soon to be memory-holed, and a day is coming when it will be hard to find any politician or person of authority who will acknowledge having supported this atrocity.

There will need to be accountability.

Obviously, those who operated the gender abattoirs should be imprisoned for their grisly mutilation of healthy children, as should those who diagnosed healthy children as needing to be butchered and sterilized. As for those who simply advocated for child gender transitions, they must not be able to whitewash their records. They have rendered themselves unfit for any role in public policy.

Expect there to be a massive scrubbing of social media and professional records by those needing to distance themselves from their advocacy for or involvement in “gender affirming care” for minors.

With growing revulsion to the child mutilation industry, and with it clearly being a political loser for Democrats, the New York Times ran an opinion piece last week that would have been unthinkable even a year ago.

Ace ran a piece last week which quoted significant parts of this shocking NY Times piece, and it is receiving much coverage throughout all media, so I won’t bother quoting any of it. Instead, I’d like to discuss the significance of it, which is that the NY Times is alerting the left that it’s time to abandon transgenderism.

As passionate as affluent white liberals are about transing children, much of the Democrats’ coalition is repulsed by this act of human sacrifice. A few weeks ago, the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed legislation banning child gender surgeries. A dozen Democrats crossed party lines to support the ban, including Rep. Jonah Wheeler, who is black.

The Morning Report — 2/5/24

Good morning, kids. Of course the big story is the Konfederate Kabuki Kongress koming together in bipartisanship – YAY! – to craft a bill that "solves" our border crisis. The good news? It's only 370 pages long so even the Claudine Gay-educated pages and interns can chug a few cases of Jolt! Cola to stay up all night and read the whole thing without Cliffs Notes to tell their bosses if they should like it or not. And, of course, they should. I mean, what's not to like?!

The bill is being marketed as a “national security” bill as it seeks to overcome opposition by Republican legislators whose election depends on the enthusiastic turnout of ordinary populists who are worried about migration’s lawlessness, pocketbook damage, crime, overcrowding, and chaotic diversity.

However, Democrats are touting the bill as a fix for [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden’s terrible poll numbers in the 2024 election.

The establishment authors of the bill have largely hidden its contents — along with many possible loopholes, exceptions, modifications, and caveats that can turn apparent restrictions into government-funded welcomes.

The bill was assembled behind closed doors by a tight circle of establishment advocates — and their business donors. They include Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who appointed three senators to negotiate a plan with the White House.

This "bill" is the COVID-19 injection of mercury-laced absinthe of Jonestown Kool-Aids. Aside from the fact that it allows something like 8,500 illegals to still come in every single day before any so-called "triggers" halt the flow, temporarily, this little nugget shows you how fucking disgusting and despicable this whole charade is:

The bill, negotiated by Sens. James Lankford (R-OK), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), would give Ukraine nearly $50 billion in U.S. tax dollars to defend its borders from Russian invasion. At the same time, the bill spends just $650 million “to build and reinforce miles and miles of new border wall,” according to Lankford’s office. That funding is likely to build only a couple dozen miles of border wall.

For those not up for math this morning, Ukraine will be getting about 75 times the money that we will supposedly get to "build the dang fence!" as soon-to-be-interred John McCain would say. That is of course assuming that $50 billion doesn't wind up mostly in Zelensky's bank account. Ditto the $650 million dollars winding up mostly in some Left wing organization(s) coffers.

There are more holes in this bill than in Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants sponge of a Swiss cheese of a medulla oblongata. All this is, is as I've highlighted above: fake political cover to show Biden solving the crisis on the border – the number one, far and away, biggest issue of this election. Thing of it is, the crisis is of Biden/Obama's own creation. They intentionally erased the border and any immigration controls to flood the country with nearly 8 million unvetted foreigners, which will probably hit at least 9 million by the time the election day rolls around.

No laws are needed to stop this. We have all the laws in place to stop this now. What we have is a stooge traitor in the Oval Office abrogating his oath of office and endangering our national security and public safety with malice aforethought for political gain. As bad as that is are those who are engaging in this transparent fraud via the kabuki-bukkake theatrics of this "bill" to fix this alleged surprise crisis that supposedly sprang out of nowhere.

Speaker Mike Johnson is declaring it DOA should it pass the Senate and go to the House. Let's hope and pray this is the case. The fact that it is even being taken seriously on our alleged side of the aisle in the Senate is proof positive that the GOP if it isn't dead to us now is barely breathing. Check that. It's un-dead and directly coming after us.

The Dems need 9 RINOs to break the filibuster and pass it. Let's see: McConnell, Romney, Murkowski, Collins, Thune, Blount and Lankford get you 7 surefire Quislings. Graham wants to vote with them but I think is playing his idiocy close to the vest for the moment, despite being a transparent fraud on this issue. They don't call him Grahamnesty for nothing. The other possibles include Ernst, Wicker, Capito and a slew of others who if given the proper motivation, i.e. payoff, will find they too can be bipartisan. Check Conservative Review's Liberty Score at least for the lineup card state by state.

While quite a few governors are standing behind what Greg Abbott is doing in Texas, the entire party should be drawing a giant red line in the sand and declaring a complete moratorium on any and all legislation until the border is sealed and the junta starts rounding up and shipping off everyone they let in since noon on 1/20/21. Of course that's a non-starter.

Meh, why get all worked up? The country is so utterly trashed at this point that it really wouldn't matter much if these amoral criminals dressed up as our representatives did pass this travesty. The damage is done and the republic is dead, for all intents and purposes.

The bottom line is Joe Biden started this and Joe Biden can fix it. Today. With, ironically enough, a pen and a phone. At some point, if he won't do it, then others will be forced to do it. Hello posse comitatus and well-regulate militia. If that happens, then for sure we are in a whole other universe. Maybe that's what's needed. God help us.

And while this insanity is going on unchecked, they're still coming for your children, if not coming in and on them.

A sad video that shows a little boy getting puberty blockers is gaining lots of traction online. It’s a heartbreaking clip, and viewers are calling out the transgender ideology for what it really is: "pure evil."

The video was in response to another video that Libs of TikTok shared in which a doctor explained that transgender “care” for kids is “lifesaving.” The video about the little "girl" now has close to 2 million views. In it, a mother and her 11-year-old son Joseph, who they refer to as “Josie,” visit a transgender specialist named Dr. Olsen, who insists that "Josie" is at a “perfect place” to begin puberty blockers to stop the young boy’s body from going through male puberty.

Research has shown that puberty blockers can and do slow or completely stop the development of a child’s reproductive system, as well as the child’s brain and his or her bones. They can cause irreversible damage, but none of that seemed to alarm Josie's mother enough to not go through with the procedure.

During the video, Josie gets the blockers implanted in his arm and cries out in pain from the injection. . .

. . . Josie’s mother was thrilled.

“A lot of time it strikes me that, had this happened 20 years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to give her blockers and she would’ve had to go through male puberty. That terrifies me. I don’t know that she would have survived male puberty,” the child-abusing mother confessed. 

People on X couldn’t agree less. 

“This BOY is being abused by the doctor and his mom. They both belong behind bars,” one user wrote. “The mom is 100% a total enabler,” another insisted while one more called it “pure evil.” Even Elon Musk commented an explanation mark to widen the reach of the heartbreaking video.

The video was part of a three-part segment by NBC News back in 2012 detailing how Josie’s parents began his transition around six years old when he was “diagnosed” with gender dysphoria.

This is pure evil. The poor child should be rescued from its sick, twisted parents who deserve a public horsewhipping. Horrible and insane as the parents may be, where the fuck did the doctors do their residency, with Josef Mengele at Birkenau?!

Of course, in topsy-turvy world, it's the parents who object that feel the hobnailed Manolo Blahniks of the State on their windpipes:

The Twitter account Two Genders One Truth summed up the heartbreaking story of the Hannons, based off a UK Daily Mail article. Young Matthew Hannon’s mother began taking the little boy to a transgender “therapist” when he was only five years’ old (note: the Daily Mail said it had changed names for privacy reasons). It is astounding that 17-year-olds are not considered mature enough to drink alcohol, but five-year-olds are supposed to be capable of deciding to damage their bodies and cross dress in pursuit of the fiction that people can change “genders.”

The worst part is, according to Two Genders One Truth, Matthew’s father Dennis didn’t even know his son was being taken to the “therapist”! Matthew’s mother and father were split up, the Daily Mail explained, and though Matthew’s mother put him in girl’s clothes from the age of three, Dennis knew nothing about it, as the boy did not pretend to be a girl with his father. Dennis accuses Matthew’s mother of pushing their son to identify as transgender. . .

. . . “It's very clear to me that it was all about pushing a narrative. Nobody wanted to question the agenda, or even question whether or not somebody actually had gender dysphoria, it was just, because she said that he was confused about his gender, it must be true,” Dennis said, according to the Daily Mail. He accused Matthew’s mother of “shopping around” until she found a therapist who gave her the woke advice she wanted. “My son is a regular little boy, he goes by Matthew. His mother still tries to influence him by using they/them pronouns, and still calls him B, which is short for Ruby,” Dennis said, noting how difficult it has been at school for Matthew following the previous enforced cross-dressing.

Two Genders One Truth explained:

Dennis is now only able to see his son a few hours a week for the crime of protecting him from medical harm. He  has spent over $150,000 in legal fees and cannot appeal the decision due to lack of funds.

The Daily Mail reported that Dennis Hannon no longer has joint custody or any medical authority over Matthew. The courts sided with the woke mother against both the child and his father. What happened to Matthew was child abuse — yet his only advocate, his father, was the one punished? The transgender insanity is destroying children’s lives.

The State kidnaps the child from an "abusive" parent and then bankrupts the poor guy in the process, because the process is the punishment. At some point, denying a kid's true gender will be joined by political party affiliation, religious affiliation, internet activity, charitable donations etc. etc. etc. Here come the Soviet era psychiatric institutions and cancer wards that Aleksander Solzhenitsyn warned us about.

In fact it's here now with the J-6 protesters still languishing in the Garland Archipelago, and these individuals who foolishly thought the First Amendment applied to them:

Paul Vaughn, one of six pro-lifers facing over a decade in prison over a peaceful protest, told The Daily Wire on Friday that he was ready to go toe-to-toe with the Biden administration after his conviction of two charges related to the FACE Act on Tuesday.

Vaughn said that the Justice Department was attempting to intimidate pro-lifers through legal force, but that their actions had only galvanized pro-lifers around the country. Vaughn and five others face 10.5 years in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines after being convicted in federal court of violating the FACE Act and conspiracy against rights secured by the FACE Act.

“I’d say that I was marginally on the sidelines,” Vaughn told The Daily Wire of his involvement in pro-life activism before his trial. “We were doing a little bit of sidewalk counseling, we weren’t trying to do some national event, we weren’t trying to be a big name, we’re just trying to be Christians and just going out and helping a person here and helping a person there, just live our life in such ways to honor God.”

. . . The charges stemmed from a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Nashville-area abortion provider on March 5, 2021. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building in the hallway outside the Carafem Health Center Clinic. The group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic not to get abortions. . . Both Vaughn and Crampton said that the Biden [junta] was unjustly targeting pro-lifers while attacks on churches and pregnancy resource centers went un-investigated.

“I don’t think the FBI or the DOJ has any stomach to look who did those things if they’re pro-aborts,” Crampton said.

The FBI and DOJ are now nothing more than Gestapo/Stasi like bureaucracies whose primary function, aside from growing their own budgets and power, is the political persecution of unfavored individuals and groups. That is, anything even remotely to the right of Trotsky.

You'll recall a month or so ago we reported on a shocking poll from the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen showing 1-in-5 respondents admitted to committing some act of voter fraud in 2020. Well, our friend Jim Lakely at Heartland has a blockbuster follow-up:

This Heartland Institute Policy Study applied various levels of mail-in voter fraud to six key swing states in the 2020 presidential election: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

The study includes data on what overall percentage of votes in those states were mail-in ballots, what percentage of those mail-in ballots went to Biden or Trump, and what percentage of those mail-in ballots for each candidate were fraudulent. We analyzed these six swing states under 29 different scenarios that incorporate different fraud percentages, including the 28.2 percent number as well as every fraud integer from 27 percent down through 1 percent.

Of the 29 scenarios we analyzed, Donald Trump wins the Electoral College in 26 of them. The only levels of mail-in voter fraud in which Joe Biden wins the Electoral College are from 1 to 3 percent. This means that even if the true percentage of fraudulent mail-in ballots were even one-seventh of what our survey found, Trump would still have won.

Food Thread: I Have Fried Food On The Brain...And I'm Okay With That!

Am I the only one who prefers chicken fried steak for breakfast rather than lunch or dinner? Because as American breakfasts go, it is an easy top-10 meal! Especially if it comes with good gravy and a biscuit soaked in butter.

Whenever I travel that is the first thing I look for on a breakfast menu, and I absolutely love going out for breakfast in America. Not communist NJ...but the real America. I think breakfast joints are the best way to get to know a town...whether it is a bump in the road or a large city...it still shows you who lives there. And if there is chicken fried steak on the menu the odds are that they are good folk.

I have some thin-sliced sirloin that is earmarked for CFS (that's what we aficionados call it), and my biscuit work has been exemplary lately, so all indications are good. Gravy is straightforward, so the only issue is the batter. Too thick and it will be a gloppy mess, and too thin will be another dish entirely.

Anyone make this at home? Inquiring minds want to know!

The RNC: Meet The New Boss...Same As The Old Boss

The RNC is rapidly approaching insolvency, but they have been feckless, useless, and a slush fund for corporate Republicans for many years. The reality is that the RNC does not care about election fraud...does not care about promoting conservative principles...does not care about strengthening grassroots Republican efforts...and certainly doesn't care about winning in general.

What they are good at is promoting their own incestuous interests and selected candidates who support what can only be described as the globalist approach to governance.

By the way; I am not suggesting that Ronna McDaniel is having an incestuous relationship with her uncle, Mitt Romney, although I have no evidence that she isn't.

But I am suggesting that the RNC is irreparably broken and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. That means from the smallest units of Republicans...the folks who are in the trenches trying to claw back some semblance of the rule of law in our elections. They are the ones who are not being funded, because their work is meaningless to the inside-the-beltway Republican elite.

GOP members criticize RNC's Ronna McDaniel for spending, weak grassroots work for 2024

After the failure of a "red wave" to materialize in the 2022 midterm elections and as the GOP looks to take back the White House, Republican Party members have criticized the lack of aid that both the 2020 alternate electors and grassroots have received as the RNC is experiencing financial trouble. Some are pointing to a lack of leadership from RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

2018, 2020, 2022 -- All massive failures on the part of the RNC, and Ronna McDaniel, as head of the RNC, is responsible. Why anyone would continue to support her is beyond me...except it isn't. It is obvious, and the reason is that the people who keep her in power think she is doing a good job, which seems to be subsuming the Republican party in a sea of Democrat party initiatives and allowing the creation of true one-party rule in America, instead of just de facto.

Because how the hell do you justify this massive boondoggle and surrender to the budget-busting, welfare-loving Democrat platform?

The House passes a bill to give parents a boosted child tax credit and businesses tax relief

On Wednesday night, the House passed the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024 by a vote 357-70, which aims to boost the child tax credit, implement low-income housing credits and disaster relief, and give businesses an R&D tax break, among other things.

The bill won bipartisan support, with an endorsement from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, who said in a Wednesday statement that it's "important bipartisan legislation to revive conservative pro-growth tax reform."

Sure...a multi-billion dollar expansion of the welfare state, but a few corporate Republican donors get some tax breaks! That is not a win-win for the American people...that is a huge loss. Print more money to pay for things we don't need and that are actually bad for society! That's the ticket!

And that word...that filthy word..."bipartisan." If you see it in the description of the legislative process you can know with almost 100% accuracy that you are about to get f*cked. Most of us vote AGAINST Democrat party policies, so why would we want to support a blend of those policies and the policies of the corporatists who currently hold a tenuous sway over the Republican party?

When the RNC figures that out, maybe they will be closer to understanding why their fundraising has cratered and there is a growing clamor for McDaniel's head on a platter. But rest assured, she will be around to oversee another catastrophic election in November of this year. Since she is actively working against the obvious Republican candidate and trying to undermine his grassroots support by starving them of funds, there is an excellent chance of a repeat of 2022.

And that is perfectly okay with the Republican party elites, whose idea of a successful election is a 20% increase in their defense industry stocks and enough cheap labor to keep those hedges manicured! Never mind that the typical American is being taxed into financial oblivion, pushed farther away from retirement because of government-caused inflation, and marginalized in favor of the most insane social engineering our country has ever faced. All tacitly or actively supported by the RNC!

I am no fan of Donald Trump, but I will enthusiastically support him and vote for him if he even hints at burning down the RNC...with McDaniel inside!

Saturday Evening Movie Thread: Miracle Mile [moviegique]

I posted my last thread (Poor Things) from my daughter's wedding reception, after which I immediately got on a plane to Florida to finish book three without distractions (almost done!) And I haven't seen a movie in three weeks!

The last movie I saw was "The Iron Claw" which is a fine drama. Some of you pointed out that it isn't very on-the-mark, to which I can only say, that's probably =why= it's a fine family film.

Before that was "Anselm", Win Wenders 3D documentary-thing which is quite good. It plays a lot with the whole concept of narratives. At 90 minutes, it doesn't overstay its welcome and is refreshing and nice to look at.

But I got to thinking about a bit I used to do on my blog before I split movies from random thoughts called "Manic Monday Apocalypso". Every so often I would look at a movie or TV show or current event in the light of The Apocalypse. It was kind of fun and/or horrifying because you realized people today DO live in post-apocalyptical scenarios, we just don't think of them that way.

Our local Atmospheric River did not result in the forecast rainfall for our area, but we have more coming, they say.

Rain has not been coming like a river. There has been a mixture of ominous clouds, rain, a little hail and some sun. How is your weather?

The rosemary is starting to bloom, and the bees were able to visit. This is the only plant we have that doesn't smell like pine. The bees had mostly left for the day by the time I got around to taking these photos. There will be more blossoms later:

We planted Rosemary when we first moved in because gophers don't eat it, and we had GOPHERS.
