She added: "The extent of the sabotage they have unleashed upon us--it's mind-blowing."

Tean Kamala promises to solve inflation, the border crisis, America's foreign policy, and more. But how do you sell a candidate as Hope and Change when she's been part of the status quo for nearly four years?

The gap that I still see in all these speeches, as good as they were, is that she's in the White House right now. Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years. And for all of the talk about division and the problems in the country and people are hurting, Democrats have mostly controlled this country.

Trump had it for four. The Obamas and Biden had it for the rest of the time. And somehow, it's still all Trump's fault, and somehow she hasn't been at the center of it. So to me, that's still the glaring hole in this campaign that hasn't yet been solved at the convention. How do you explain all of the problems that will be solved by the person who is currently in there for the last three and a half years who is supposed to already be working on solving it?

Washington Post Editorial Board: Yes, Biden and His Inner Circle Lied Constantly About Biden's Mental Decline as President of the United States and Keeper of the Nuke Codes, But It Was All "Selfless Heroism" to Save Us from Trump

They're not just excusing the lies -- they're praising the Biden White House for having lied (and continuing to lie) about Biden's mental capacity to serve as president and nuclear missile guardian.

But sure, they weren't in on the lie, right? Right?

They transmitted the lie when it was more "operative," and continue lying that Biden resigned only because polls were against him, not due to mental incapacity, and now they're praising the Biden White House for telling even more "noble lies" -- but you have to believe them, they weren't in on the lies, no sirree!

They are dedicated Guardians of Truth!

Who frequently lie and even praise lies.

"Our best days are not behind us; they're before us," President Joe Biden declared to a rapturous crowd at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

If he had his way, Mr. Biden would have spoken these words while accepting his party's presidential nomination on Thursday night. But the mood at the convention would have been grim -- a divided party in the United Center -- and a diminished Mr. Biden, at the head of a dispirited party, would likely have lost in November.

And so, Mr. Biden reluctantly made a profoundly selfless decision: He stepped out of the ring. Speaking not as a nominee on Thursday but as a retiring veteran on Monday, Mr. Biden received sustained ovations. Mr. Biden might privately resent Democrats who helped push him off the ticket this summer -- or, indeed, the Democratic convention leaders who let Monday night's proceedings drag on so long that they inexcusably pushed the president of the United States out of prime time.

When it was his turn to speak, however, he delivered an energetic address in which he made the case for his own legacy and for Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he credited with casting the tiebreaking vote in the Senate on some of his signature legislation.

As I keep saying: Yes, I understand Nancy Pelosi offering Biden this dirty political deal: Resign, and we'll cover up your dementia, and praise you as a hero, and pretend you're not demented and leave you the dignity of pretending to serve your last few months.

Why is the allegedly non-partisan media doing its own part in this political deal?

Now they pretend that Biden was merely "showing signs of slipping" -- not actually slipping, you understand.

If they admitted he was demented, they'd be forced to at least pretend to want him to resign from office.

In retrospect, Mr. Biden should not have sought reelection. The June 27 debate was worse than just a bad night, as the president maintained afterward. The 81-year-old had showed signs of slipping for a long time, but his inner circle worked to conceal his decline.

But second-guessing is easy, and Mr. Biden's decision gives time and space to underscore his accomplishments: historic climate and infrastructure legislation; support for Ukraine in resistance of Russian aggression; expanded health insurance coverage.

What about the part where a man in mental "decline" still has his finger on the nuclear button?

Or are you privy to details not shared with the public, like "someone other than the (supposedly) elected president is now in charge of all major decisions"?

It is Mr. Biden's willingness to surrender power, albeit via internal machination rather than the ballot box, that deserves special recognition. It creates a powerful and, for Mr. Biden, favorable contrast with Mr. Trump -- who refused to acknowledge defeat in 2020 and instead stirred up a mob in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. The last weeks have shown how Mr. Biden's act created a pathway for a new generation of Democratic leaders.

Of course. Biden was forced out of the race, but he's "selfless" for accepting the inevitable. And Trump is bad for noting that a "fortified" election -- as admitted, nay, bragged about by Democrat officials, as reported by liberal-in-good-standing Molly Ball -- was in fact #rigged.

Though he will spend at least some of the time between now and Nov. 5 on politics, campaigning where it can help Ms. Harris win, governing -- making the most of his remaining term -- is Mr. Biden's most important mission. "I've got five months left in my presidency," he said Monday. "I have a lot to do."

Not to beat a dead horse, but if he's in "decline," why is he still governing?

His top priority should be ending the war in Gaza, bringing home Israeli hostages held by Hamas and averting a wider war in the Middle East.

Yes, this is exactly where we want a demented man expending what's left of his wits: Forcing a Hamas "peace" deal on Israel.

Yet as important as what he does will be how he does it. Mr. Biden's most attractive promise in 2020 was to unite a divided nation; his worthiest moments in politics, both before and after becoming president, were those in which he modeled empathy, moderation and statesmanship. That includes perhaps the toughest call he had to make in his decades in politics: his decision to step aside.

It's disgusting.

As I said, the lies continue: The claim is made that Biden wasn't forced out due to his mental decline, but due to Nancy Pelosi threatening to blow the whistle on...

...wait for it...

...Biden's poor poll numbers.

As Biden nursed his COVID infection that fateful Saturday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent an urgent message to the president: She was prepared to go public with her concerns that he could not defeat Donald Trump in November.

The ultimatum was clear: Drop out now -- or Pelosi trashes her political ally, and friend of over 50 years, on the global stage.

Four sources with intimate knowledge of the situation independently claimed that such a message was relayed, with one particularly well-placed source saying that a phone call took place in which Pelosi told Biden she would publish brutal polling figures to back up her attack.

Either way, her demand was said to be so forceful that it sparked a 'come to Jesus moment' for the president, who only then began to the letter announcing his withdrawal.

No. This is a lie. Everyone knew the poor poll numbers. It's all the Democrats talked about for months.

Biden repeatedly said he didn't care about the polls, because they were wrong.

The real threat she made was to have Kamala invoke the 25th Amendment, and she had all the cabinet officials ready to vote that he was incapacitated.

That was the threat -- not poll numbers that everyone in the world knew, but to forcibly remove Biden from office if he didn't withdraw from the campaign.

But they can't admit that, or else they'd have to explain why they're allowing this man who is mentally incapacitated to remain with his finger on the nuclear button.

And the real reason, of course, is for politics: They don't want to divide the party before an election, so they're letting Joe Biden stay in President Fantasy Camp for another five months.

I didn't keep harping on Biden's control over nuclear weapons as pure rhetoric. The New York Post reports that Biden is "secretly ordering" the US military to prepare for nuclear war with China, Russia, and North Korea.

Great, this should give Pop-Pop something to occupy his time.

That's what doctors say you should do with relatives whose minds are "showing signs of slipping" -- have them work on nuclear warplans with Russia and China. It keeps their minds active and engaged with the world, you know?

President Biden has signed off on a highly classified plan that shifts America's nuclear strategy to focus on China as a nuclear threat -- and prepare for the possibility that the communist nation could team up with North Korea and Russia against the US, according to a new report.

Biden made the shift in March because the Pentagon believes China's nuclear arsenal will rival the US and Russia, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

The new strategy is called the "Nuclear Employment Guidance" and also readies the US for a possible coordinated threat between China, Russia and North Korea, the newspaper reported.

In a pair of recent speeches, two senior administration officials have hinted at the growing Chinese nuclear threat.

"The President recently issued updated nuclear weapons employment guidance to account for multiple nuclear-armed adversaries, and, in particular, the significant increase in the size and diversity of [China's] nuclear arsenal," said Vipin Narang this month when he was still the acting assistant secretary of defense of space policy.

"My office has begun to provide the Department and the Joint Force updated implementation guidance on how to plan and posture our forces in this new environment."

National Security Council's senior director for arms control and nonproliferation, Pranay Vaddi, also referred to the top-secret document in June, the Times reported.

The new game plan would focus on "the need to deter Russia, the [China] and North Korea simultaneously," he said, per the newspaper.

Disney Cancels Lesbian Space Witch Show "The Acolyte;" Former X-Men Producer Says He'll Sue Disney for Defamation

It's just a well-oiled machine, and Disney's efforts to "inject gayness into everything" (as one of its executives said) is just nothing but upside.

What's remarkable is not that the barely-viewed, savagely reviewed Acolyte was canceled. It cost $180 million plus and was yet another corporate embarrassment. Bob Iger can't put the blame on Kaffeine Kennedy when he's the guy who refuses to fire her or at least take away her power to greenlight woke trash shows.

What's remarkable is that Disney is admitting -- or bragging -- that they're cancelling it. What they usually do is claim that sequels to unpopular money-losers are "in development," perpetually. Disney still claims, for example, that the Rian Johnson Star Wars trilogy is still a go... one day, when they get all their ducks in a row.

So what made Disney rush out word that no, no Acolyte sequel series is in perpetual development, but is in fact fully, officially canceled?

Could be that shareholders are getting antsy about Iger's apparent credo that "Failure is Job One" and would like some reassurance that Iger doesn't intend to burn their money in a pit forever.

"The Acolyte" will not return for Season 2.

Lucasfilm has elected not to continue with the "Star Wars" Disney+ series following its first season, which depicted the rise of the Sith roughly 100 years before the events of "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace."

The news comes at once as a shock, given how much of the Season 1 finale ended on a cliffhanger and teased several plotlines for a Season 2, and not much of a surprise, given the wildly opposing reception from fans and the less-than-robust viewership that appeared to drop off after the series premiere in June.

The "wildly opposing reception" comes from two different camps. First, actual Star Wars fans, who tend to be male and straight, who hated the show (or simply didn't bother watching it, as Disney has done what a thousand bullies failed to accomplish, convincing them that Star Wars is Stupid and Fucking Gay).

Second, non-Star-Wars-fan feminist and gay political agitators on Twitter, who do not watch these things, because they don't like boys' adventure stories, but are constantly demanding that people fill boys' adventure stories with women and gays, who promise that they will like Star Wars if only they can "see themselves in it."

But when you make shows and movies expressly for them, they don't show up, and the shows and movies fail. Disastrously.

So who does Hollywood and the corporate media keep courting?

The non-fans, of course. They're not actually interested in the shows and you'll go bankrupt chasing "the phantom audience that does not and never will exist," but at least they're not icky like those straight male geeks.

Other fans, however, felt those creative choices were antithetical to the good-vs-evil nature of "Star Wars" storytelling, and strongly objected to the show's expansion of the mythology of the Force. "The Acolyte" was also review-bombed, an insidious practice most often employed as a form of digital protest against inclusive casts centered around actors of color and LGBTQ characters, like Osha and Mae's mothers played by Jodie Turner-Smith and Margarita Levieva. (The 2017 film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" was an early recipient of this kind of trolling.)

Oh, blow me. The most insidious form of review bombing is the habit of all the leftwing sheep "critics" who only judge a movie based on its leftwing politics and "representation" of allegedly "marginalized" groups. They pretend that every movie or show that "teaches the CHUDs a lesson" is brilliant.

Amusingly, Deadline reported the cancellation on August 19th -- and Disney's stock shot up a full dollar that day.

Coincidence?

Or is it The Will of the Force?

Meanwhile, there's the former producer of the revived X-Men cartoon, the very, very gay Beau DeMayo.

DeMayo was suddenly fired from the show on the eve of its debut for no given reason. He was dis-invited to the premier, and later even had his credits stripped off the second season.

Which hasn't been shown yet. Cartoons are usually bought in two season deals, to amortize the costs in making them over two seasons. So when you hear "Velma is so good they've ordered another season!," that's yet another corporate media lie. Velma was terrible. But they had already made the entire "second season." All they're really saying is that Velma's already-finished second-season will be shown, and not dumped in a pit, set aflame, and have the melted remnants of the hard-drives it is stored on covered with concrete of Strategic Missile Command Bunker durability.

The firing of a Privileged Homosexual like DeMayo from such a high-profile project on the eve of its debut was first thought to be due to the cartoon being yet another Disney/Marvel flop. But people who've seen it (I haven't) say it was good and a worthy successor to the old 90s X-Men cartoon.

So what was it?

Well, DeMayo was known to maintain an OnlyFans account, and posted pictures of himself in various states of undress.

DeMayo says his firing was due only to him posting this sexualized picture of himself as an X-Man.

Chicago -- Probably in Agreement with the Democrat Party's Wishes -- Allows Pro-Terror Hamas Supporters to March in Their Streets, While Blocking Pro-Israel Jews from Marching

It's getting harder and harder to tell.

This week, citizens will gather in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention to voice their support for Israel and protest the abuses of Hamas.

However, this largely Jewish gathering will not be marching. Instead, they will gather on a small private lot blocks away from the convention as thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters march through the streets.

The reason is that Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson has refused to grant their request for a permit.

While pro-Palestinian protesters have been given an array of accommodations by the city (and received a shoutout from President Joe Biden in his convention address), the Jewish protesters are only able to gather due to the donation of a private lot by an owner for their use.

Even as pro-Palestinian protesters veered off approved routes and tore down security fencing, it will be the Jewish protesters who will reportedly remain confined to this private lot under the watchful eye of the Chicago Police Department.

Besides pro-Palestinian protesters, pro-abortion protesters have been allowed to march, and Planned Parenthood is celebrating the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris with free abortions.

So Jewish protesters get to watch as favored groups parade in abortion pill outfits, but they cannot march with the images of the Hamas hostages in Gaza.

Josh Weiner, co-founder of Chicago Jewish Alliance, confirmed that the group was not granted permits, so all they could do is walk around such approved protests to "make our presence felt."

He added that "pro-Palestine protesters have gotten multiple permits, including a march, which seems to be a little bit weighted on one side."

What the Democrat Party wants to avoid --and therefore woke failure Marxist Mayor Brandon Johnson wants to avoid -- is too many Fiery But Mostly Peaceful protests in Chicago.

If Hamas is granted control over the streets, they will only destroy so much.

But if they see the hated Jews out on the streets, expressing their political support of the "Little Satan" of Israel, they will attack them, and then there will be some damaging video that makes it out of the media embargo.

So it's simple: Grant the Jew-haters free reign over the city, force the Jewish protesters into specific Free Speech Zones far from the convention.

Concentrate them into camps, you might say.

Of course, the Democrat Media's attempt to run a Potemkin Village convention by giving Hamas control over the streets and thereby buying their Mostly Peace isn't wholly successful:

A Real America's Voice reporter was caught on camera Tuesday attempting to intervent as anti-Israel protesters set a U.S. flag on fire outside the DNC in Chicago.

Key Details:

Clashes between protesters and police in riot gear resulted in multiple arrests, adding to four arrests made when protesters breached the security perimeter on Monday.

Real America's Voice reporter Ben Bergquam was caught on camera attempting to save the flag seen burning, but was quickly shoved away by hostile protesters.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene reacted on X, saying: "If they don't respect our flag, our laws, our constitution, our law enforcement, then they also don't respect our lives."

No big deal, just Hamas operatives beating up American journalists so that they can burn the American flag.

Feds Admit That the Biden-Harris Miracle Economy Is Actually Terrible as Almost One Million Jobs are "Lost"

I put "lost" in quotes because the federal government claimed that 818,000 new jobs were created, but now admits: Nah, we were just fooling, those jobs never existed.

The announcement of a 'cool off' came less than a day before Harris will accept the nomination and amid criticism of the Biden-Harris admin's economic record

The government admitted Wednesday that job creation was much slower than it originally reported, slashing more than 800,000 jobs from its earlier tallies in a report just 24 hours before Vice President Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic nomination for president.

The revision is for the estimate of jobs created from spring 2023 to spring 2024, suggesting a "cool off" in the labor market.

How hard they strained to fake the numbers so that Biden could continue insisting we weren't in a recession.

If you remember, we did have a quarter of no growth. But "experts" told us there was no recession, because the great jobs numbers indicated a healthy economy.

Turns out the great jobs numbers were, get this, fake jobs numbers.

So surprising to see fakery from the Democrats and their ideologically-captured "expert" class.

The revised estimate stated the U.S. added 2.1 million jobs from April 2023 to March 2024. The original estimate pegged job creation at 2.9 million during that period, Market Watch reported.

The revision means the U.S. added an average of just 173,000 jobs per month instead of an average of 242,000 per month.

The Biden-Harris Miracle Economy is so good that the Fed may have to cut interest rates -- increasing inflation, which is already at economy-killing levels -- to juice it and keep it from falling into recession.

I'm not stoked that RFKJr. is asking for the very, very important position of AG, but maybe Kennedy would accept something like Health and Human Services. Confirming him to that position would be difficult, given that the left wing absolutely hates him for questioning the non-vaccinating Miracle Vaccines.

The DNC is wrapping up and the Harris-Walz campaign will now begin in earnest. The platform this year is as execrable as expected and the candidates surprise nobody. It was a star-studded show, of course, with both the current Resident taking the stage to bark at the moon and former president Obama being trotted out once again to try to hold things together.

The DNC has been - and will continue to be - covered by people much more attentive and interested than me. What strikes me is that, details aside, the Democrats appear to be running a sequel campaign. This all looks extremely familiar in its broad strokes. This looks like a repeat of 2008 playbook. We have another Obama and Biden on our hands, just dingier and a bit tired. Whether this out-of-time sequel ends up performing like "Ghostbusters (2016)" or "Top Gun: Maverick," however, remains to be seen.

Mid-Morning Art Thread [Kris]

Fishing Village in Winter Time

When I look at this painting, I see a sleepy village in a beautiful landscape. When I look closer, I also see Moras’ excellent use of composition, line, color and light to build his painting. Moras was a German landscapist who specialized in realist winter scenes, although his work became more impressionistic in his later career. From what I’ve seen, his art is peaceful and quiet, focusing on nature and its beauty. People are rare in his works. When they do appear, their presence is small or inconsequential. I find this feature attractive; it lets me focus on the exquisite details of nature more and get lost in the setting and details.

There are two focal points in Fishing Village in Winter Time — the sun and perspective’s vanishing point. Located above and to the left of visual center, the sun draws my eye. It was the first thing I noticed. In a painting that has a dark, neutral color scheme, the bright gold radiates. But notice how the sun is not actually seen. A cloud covers it and produces these pretty sunrays. Instead, the cloud glows. It’s quite lovely. The gold light tints the whites and greys of the snow-covered landscape and provides a slight warmth — but only slight. The cloud cover keeps the light dimmed and the temperature low. It is still winter, after all. A bright yellow fireball in the center of the work would throw everything off here.

The vanishing point, the second focal point, is located on the horizon just left of the mast of the sailboat. I like how Moras placed the vanishing point so far left within the composition. To me, it shifts everything rightward. It creates interesting framing and dramatic lines and angles. The arrangement of the houses seems more scattered. For a quiet piece like this, it makes it more interesting to look at.

The horizon line divides the work into almost equal halves, but the lower half looks larger. I think this might be because it has more “stuff”. The sky is big. It has light and clouds, and a flock of birds in flight add energy. But the earth has a lot more: ice and snow, buildings and people, and a harbor with boats. As minimalized as human activity is here, there’s still things happening. Three males are preparing a boat in the foreground. A woman walks with a child in the left middle ground. Boats sail in the water on the extreme left. None of these are dramatic or dynamic, but they are still alive.

The large area of grey, black and white also outweighs the gold in the sky. The golden tint in the snow adds to it. Notice the small patch of reflected sunlight in the water next to the boat being prepared by the three men. It sparkles in the ripples. To me, while the sunlight in the sky is larger, it is also airy, transparent, and spread out. The light in the water is concentrated. It's one bright glow surrounded by solid, heavy greys. I think it makes the blacks and greys stand out more, weighing down the lower half.

By painting a winter scene, Moras uses few colors: black, white, and yellow. This creates some interesting challenges. Black and white provide contrast while grey fills in the details, but this can be drab and boring. The yellow adds warmth. In your mind, change this to a night scene. Notice how moonlight alters the mood and temperature. This work becomes all grey with a silvery highlight. It becomes colder and bleaker. I think the small dose of gold brightens the mood like it does the sky. It’s just enough. It changes a dreary landscape into something quite lovely.

Good morning kids. Day 2 of Nuremberg 2 boogaloo in Chicago. And there you have it folks, America is an illegitimate nation built on stolen land. There's the Democrat Party.

The DNC 2016 party platform began by claiming that “Democrats meet in Philadelphia with the same basic belief that animated the Continental Congress when they gathered here 240 years ago.” Four years later, out went the Continental Congress and all of America.

The 2020 DNC platform began with a politically fashionable ‘land acknowledgement’ asserting that America was an illegitimate entity operating on stolen land “built on Indigenous homelands.”
The 2024 platform likewise begins with a ‘land acknowledgement’ claiming that Chicago properly belongs to 13 different Indian tribes. Once again, the DNC asserts that they “recognize that our country was built on Indigenous homelands.” That is to say America should not exist.
If the Democrats truly believe it, why not turn over Chicago to the Indian tribes?
Land acknowledgements were initiated by an Australian Marxist terrorist supporter at a counterculture festival in the 1970s. Its goal was to establish that Australians were foreigners and had to follow aboriginal laws and culture. 50 years later the practice, grounded in ‘decolonization’ has been widely adopted by American leftists and their ruling party.
Land acknowledgements are a form of historical revisionism, like the 1619 Project and destroying Columbus statues, that are paving the way for delegitimizing America.

And that's why the party has no problems with cheering on Hamas' bloody final solution against Israel and the Jews. the roasting alive of babies in front of their parents, while girls and women are gang raped. Great Satan and Little Satan. Maybe that explains Andy Beshear's wishing J.D. Vance's wife and female family members experience being raped.

Of course to underscore the searing hatred of this nation, its founding, history and heritage as well as those who wish to try to restore and preserve it, no better dyspeptic duo of division and deviltry than the Obamas to spout their own vitriol at us.

Chuck Schumer, who’s painstakingly ignored the ugly and often violent Jew-hatred that’s infected his party, accused Trump of peddling anti-Semitism.
Speaker after speaker warned that Donald Trump, a relative moderate on social issues, was going to ban in vitro fertilization, even though the former president has explicitly rejected any limits on fertility treatments.
So it made all the sense in the world that the second night of the DNC featured former president Barack Obama, a man who probably did more to polarize American politics than any in modern history.
And the vacuous religiosity and hypocritical moralizing of Obamas was on full display. , ,

. . . Michelle preemptively accused anyone who opposed the Dems presidential nominee Kamala Harris of being driven by racism and misogyny — basically, the same con the Obamas ran when they were in the White House.
When it was former president Obama’s turn, he lamented the ugliness of modern American politics before mocking Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes” by gesturing with hands to signify a small length.
Obama bemoaned that our politics had turned citizens against each other, before accusing Republicans of being insular slacked-jawed hate mongers.
As George Will once wrote, Obama is “a pyromaniac in a field of straw men.”
. . . But perhaps the most confusing aspect of the night was Obama’s call for a return to decency. The former president, in fact, argued that America needed, “a new chapter, a better story,” even though his own vice president Joe Biden has been in office for nearly four years.
Come to think of it, Kamala Harris had also been in office for nearly four years. What had either done to make our politics less divisive or our lives more joyful?
Politics is indecent in America today as it has been for a long time. And the DNC offered us another example of how low we’ve sunk.

They cannot return to hell fast enough for my liking, because they are on a clear path to bring hell on earth right here. They've already paved the road to it, and their intentions were never good, contra the popular saying of the road to hell and what it's paved with.

What I said in the wake of the 2020 election theft, goes double now. We are going to be faced with being forced to do things that will run contra to everything we believe in and cherish as decent human beings. And speaking of which, this piece above the fold will not do much to improve your morale, but it's something that even the most optimistic among us have to come to terms with.

Several congressional Democrats facing tight reelection bids, particularly those in tossup or GOP-leaning states or House districts, are skipping the party's nominating convention in Chicago this week.

Montana Sen. Jon Tester has not yet endorsed Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, and he was the red state's only delegate to withhold a vote backing Harris, according to Montana Public Radio.

Instead of attending the Democratic National Convention, Tester will hold a fundraiser, farm and campaign for his reelection, according to the Montana Free Press.

Nevada Sen. Jacky Rosen told The New York Times that she would be campaigning for her reelection this week and needed to be close to her home state.

Tester, Brown and Rosen are three of the six Senate Democrats most vulnerable to losing reelection, according the the news outlet Roll Call.

Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, declined to join the virtual vote to nominate Harris, the Bangor Daily News reported. He also wouldn't say who he's voting for in November.

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, told CNN he rarely attends conventions, but he has attended each convention during his time in Congress, according to The Hill newspaper.

New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich told Scripps News he has commitments that conflict with the convention.

The GOP is trolling the MIA Democrats with a mobile "Have You Seen Me?" billboard.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is targeting a handful of vulnerable House Democrats with a mobile billboard outside the Democratic National Convention, which begins Monday in Chicago.

Photos of five Democrats who are expected to skip the party event will appear alongside the words "Have You Seen Me?" as the House Republicans' campaign arm works to tie the lawmakers to Vice President Harris, despite their anticipated absence.

The billboard will knock Reps. Yadira Caraveo (Colo.), Matt Cartwright (Pa.), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.) and Jared Golden (Maine) -- all of whom are in races rated "toss ups" by the Cook Political Report. Rep. Mary Sattler Peltola (Alaska), whose race is "lean Democrat," will also be highlighted.

"These swing-district Democrat frauds want to pretend like they won't be enablers of San Francisco liberal Kamala Harris' dangerous agenda if reelected," NRCC Communications Director Jack Pandol said in a release. "Yet despite not being in Chicago, they support everything Kamala Harris stands for with their voting records."

Speaking of cowardly Democrats: Kamala Harris refuses to debate on Fox.

Vice President Kamala Harris has declined an invitation to participate in a Fox News debate with former President Donald Trump, according to a recent post by Trump on Truth Social. The debate was scheduled to take place on September 4th, and Trump was quick to share the news of Harris's refusal, framing it as an expected move due to her challenges in defending her political record.

"Comrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will NOT do the FoxNews Debate on September 4th," Trump wrote, using the announcement as an opportunity to criticize the Vice President. He cited her alleged "Flip-Flopping" on various issues, particularly highlighting her stance on fracking in Pennsylvania and her handling of border security as the administration's "Border Czar." House Report: Despite the Lies of Biden and His Marxist Media Defenders, He Did Change Ukraine Policy to Help Hunter's "Business" Partners

The final report of the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden upends a narrative promoted during the first impeachment of former President Trump, showing that in fact Biden changed official U.S. policy in a way that benefited Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company where his son served on the board. Biden and his surrogates vehemently have repeatedly denied those allegations.

After more than a year of investigation, the evidence shows then-Vice President Joe Biden changed official policy by calling an "audible" on a flight to Kyiv, linking a $1 billion loan guarantee for the struggling country to its firing of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma's founder, Mykola Zlochevsky. This finding confirms several Just the News reports.

During the 2019 impeachment of President Trump, government witnesses and Congressional Democrats widely repeated the same claim: that Joe Biden did not change U.S. policy and that the Ukrainian prosecutors were not investigating Burisma.

Former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch testified that calling for Shokin's firing was "official U.S. policy," former Trump envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volkert said the firing "was widely understood internationally to be the right policy," and another former diplomat, David Holmes, testified that Shokin "was not at that time pursuing investigations of Burisma or the Bidens."

Last year, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member, Jamie Raskin, D-M.D., also said the theories that Joe Biden changed official U.S. policy or that Burisma was under investigation by Shokin were "debunked."

USA Today, FactCheck.org, and CNN, among dozens of other media outlets called the allegations "debunked" and The Washington Post opined that "This is smoke without a fire."

Just a month before Thanksgiving in 2015, a task force of top State, Treasury and Justice Department officials had decided that Ukraine and its new top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, had made enough progress on anti-corruption reforms for the country to receive a new $1 billion U.S. loan guarantee, Just the News previously reported.

They ed a term sheet for the delivery of the new aid to then-Ukrainian President Pedro Poroshenko during Biden's December 2015 trip to Ukraine, and were making plans to invite Shokin's top staff to Washington in January for a high-level meeting. Shokin himself even got a letter from the State Department declaring it was "impressed" with his reform efforts.

Two Nov. 22, 2015, memos--while demanding Shokin's ouster--urged the vice president to offer the $1 billion loan guarantee during his trip, according to the documents reviewed by Just the News.

By the time Biden got to Kyiv on Dec. 8-9, 2015, he had altered the plan, deciding to threaten withholding the loan guarantees until Poroshenko fired Shokin, something he would brag about in a 2018 broadcast on C-SPAN.

The reporting on these memos by Just the News spurred the Washington Post fact-checkers to revise the central narrative around Biden's December 2015 visit to Kyiv, now reporting through interviews with former Obama administration officials that then-Vice President Biden "called an audible"--or changed the plan--to link Viktor Shokin's firing with the $1 billion loan guarantee.

Before this change in policy, the report notes, there was no indication that Joe Biden would link Shokin's firing with the loan guarantee. Instead, the committees argue that a December 2015 phone call Hunter Biden made to his father on behalf of Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky, may have "sparked" the change.

In his testimony before the House Oversight Committee, Devon Archer--the longtime business associate of Hunter Biden and fellow Burisma board member--told Congress that Burisma Holdings was pressuring the Biden to deal with the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.

Despite the Marxist Media constantly lying for the Democrats, the Democrats have done the one thing to them that status-conscious "progressive" social climbers cannot abide: They have reduced them in status.

Soros Operative and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg Backs Down; Will Not Oppose Trump's Motion to Delay Sentencing Until After the Election

This doesn't mean the sentencing will be delayed. Judge Merchan, as vicious and stupid a partisan as exists, can still, on his own dubious authority, insist that the sentencing take place just in time to #FortifytheElection.

But that's going to be more difficult when the prosecuting attorney doesn't oppose Trump's motion to delay.

Still, with Merchan's daughter making millions on this farce, I wouldn't put it past Merchan to reject Trump's motion.

DA Alvin Bragg's office announced it would not oppose Trump's request to push his sentencing date, leaving the final decision to Judge Juan Merchan.

Trump's legal team argues that sentencing on Sept. 18th, just weeks before the election, would constitute election interference and is seeking a delay.

The defense is also exploring appeals based on a recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, claiming it could impact the case.

Diving Deeper:

According to a report from POLITICO, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has chosen not to oppose former President Donald Trump's request to delay his sentencing in the New York criminal case until after the upcoming November election. The decision on whether to grant this delay now lies with New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan.

In a letter addressed to Merchan and dated August 16th, Bragg's office, represented by Assistant District Attorneys including Matthew Colangelo, indicated that they would "defer to the Court on the appropriate post-trial schedule that allows for adequate time to adjudicate defendant's motion while also pronouncing sentence 'without reasonable delay.'" The letter became public on Monday.

The former president's legal team, including lawyers Todd Blanche and Emil Bove, submitted their own letter to the court on Thursday, arguing that holding the sentencing as scheduled on September 18th would be tantamount to election interference, given that it is set just seven weeks before Election Day. They requested that the sentencing be postponed until after the election, allowing Trump to consider his next legal steps after Judge Merchan's expected ruling on September 16th. The defense is seeking to overturn the verdict and dismiss the case, citing a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, which they argue should apply to Trump's case.

In response, Bragg's office acknowledged that the denial of immunity from prosecution is immediately appealable, but contended that the issue of immunity does not apply in this instance. They emphasized that the only question before the court concerns the admissibility of certain evidence based on a new evidentiary rule derived from the Supreme Court's ruling.

Despite this, Bragg's office stated they would defer to the court on whether to adjourn the sentencing to allow for any necessary appellate litigation, highlighting the significant public safety and logistical preparations required for court appearances in this high-profile case.

Trump's campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, called for the dismissal of the case, labeling it an "Election Interference Witch Hunt" and referencing the Supreme Court's mandate on presidential immunity.

The Soros DA Bragg also just announced that he will be charging a violent, cop-attacking Columbia Mostly Peaceful President with only a misdemeanor, so that this solid citizen can keep his precious law license.

A professional left-wing activist and trust fund heir who joined Columbia University students in storming and occupying a university building last April also has an active law license in New York, records show. He's set to keep it, too, even if he's convicted on the charge he's facing, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

James Carlson, who also goes by Cody, burned an Israeli flag, violently stormed Columbia's Hamilton Hall, clashed with a facilities worker, and allegedly broke a police camera while detained. He was arrested on April 20 on a misdemeanor arson charge and again on April 30, the day that New York City police swept Columbia and cleared Hamilton Hall, for burglary, a felony in New York.

By the time Carlson and other Hamilton Hall arrestees attended their June court hearings, however, the Manhattan district attorney's office--led by Alvin Bragg--opted to pursue a reduced charge against Carlson: criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. As a result, Carlson, a trust fund kid who specializes in animal rights law and lists his $2.3 million Brooklyn townhouse on his active New York attorney registration, faces little risk of losing his license.

Under New York law, a felony conviction is automatic grounds for disbarment. Because Bragg's office only pursued a misdemeanor charge against Carlson, the protester doesn't face that risk. A misdemeanor trespassing conviction could prompt a disciplinary hearing but would not automatically trigger one.

Carlson did not respond to a request for comment. The State of New York Grievance Committee, which handles attorney complaints, referred the Free Beacon to the Office of the Clerk of the Court, which said Carlson "is currently licensed and in good standing."

The Democrats Allow Their Convention to Run an Hour Late, Pushing the 81-Year-Old Resident Out of Prime Time

President Joe Biden took the stage Monday night to deliver a prime time farewell address to the Democratic National Convention; however, he found himself sidelined and pushed out of prime time due to the rancorous receptions to Hillary Clinton and a surprise appearance by Kamala Harris--a sidelining reminiscent of Democrat pressure to push the president out of the 2024 race.

Biden's farewell address, which was intended as a centerpiece of the evening, was overshadowed by the receptions for Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris earlier in the night, leaving Biden to deliver his remarks to a smaller audience than expected.

During his address, Biden attempted to downplay the circumstances of his departure, claiming, "All those people who said I should step down, that's not true." However, his insistence seemed at odds with the reality of the pressure he faced from within his own party, including Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, who the Trump campaign noted looked "extremely guilty" during chants of "We Love Joe."

Despite the delay, Biden thanked his supporters and doubled down his commitment to the country in his lameduck term. "It's been the honor of my lifetime to serve as your president," Biden said, with tears in his eyes. As the night concluded, the outgoing president's legacy appeared to be increasingly defined by the actions of others, particularly the ascendant Harris, who even herself appeared to be upstaged by Hillary Clinton. Biden, who once commanded the full attention of the party, now found himself playing a supporting role in a convention that seems to have already moved on from his presidency.

Biden took the opportunity to repeat the Foundational Lie of his entire 2020 fake candidacy, that Trump called Nazis and White Supremacists "very fine people."

I ran for President in 2020 because of what I saw in Charlottesville in August of 2017. Extremists coming out of the woods, carrying torches, their veins bulging from their necks, carrying Nazi swastikas and chanting the same exact antisemitic bile that was heard in Germany in the early '30s. Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and the Ku Klux Klan, so emboldened by a President then in the White House that they saw as an ally. They didn't even bother to wear their hoods.

Hate was on the march in America. Old ghosts in new garments, stirring up the oldest divisions, stoking the oldest fears, giving oxygen to the oldest forces that they long sought to tear apart America. In the process, a young woman was killed. When I contacted her mother, I asked about what happened. She told me. When the President was asked what he thought had happened, Donald Trump said, and I quote, "There are very fine people on both sides." My God, that's what he said. That is what he said and what he meant.

Trump wasn't even talking about the rally, but the dispute over Confederate monuments, which prompted the extremist rally. However, Trump was characterizing the larger groups of people "on both sides" debating whether to keep or remove the monuments, not those showing up to the rally. This was known literally from the first day that Trump made those remarks, seven years almost to the day from when Biden took the stage last night.

Biden wasn't done lying yet (and I'm sure Jake Tapper was furiously fact-checking him!):
