As several have pointed out: The media has never gotten tired of trotting out nepo-baby nobody Mary Trump to prove that even Trump's family hates him!!!

Nor have they stopped reporting on RFKJr.s Democrat-payroll pill-popping welfare loser family denouncing him.

I don't think they'll be reporting this story, though.

Except to this extent: You'll see some reportage about any previous bankruptcies, DUIs, addictions, etc. in Walz's family. They won't dig into Walz's DUI, but damn, you will hear about it if one of his family members ever drove under the influence.

The photo was initially shared by a friend of the family with a representative for former Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Charles W. Herbster, who first posted the image to X on Wednesday.

Those in the image are members of the Minnesota governor's family through his grandfather's brother, the Herbster contact confirmed to DailyMail.com the individuals' identities and relation to Gov. Walz.

The latest faction of pro-Trump Walz family members comes after it was revealed that the Democratic vice presidential nominee's brother warned against people allowing him into the White House.

Jeff Walz, 67, lives in Florida and is Kamala Harris' running mate's older brother. He posted about his brother's character in a Facebook post last week.

'I'm 100% opposed to all his ideology,' he stated in one of the posts.

FBI Officials Questioned the Need for the Mar-a-Lago Raid, and the Political Biases of the DOJ Prosecutor So "Aggressively" Pursuing This Nothing of a "Case"

I thought maybe I could say this might be political tea leaves -- the Deep State is coming to grips with the possibility that it might not be able to rig this one, so people are starting to pipe up to say "I was against all this."

Maybe they're starting to think about who will be in charge of the DOJ and FBI in January, and who won't be, and who will no longer have the power to protect them.

But I think that might be a stretch.

This is from NBC, so of course it's slanted to present the people questioning the Democrat Party donations of the DOJ lawyer pushing this as the unreasonable, politicized people.

It's interesting, though.

On Aug. 1, 2022, senior Justice Department and FBI officials gathered on the seventh floor of the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., for a historic meeting....

Their goal was to have what one participant later called a "come to Jesus" meeting....

For months, prosecutors from the DOJ's national security division and the leaders of the FBI's Washington field office had disagreed over an ongoing criminal probe. Tension and debate between prosecutors and agents during an investigation are routine, and often welcomed.

But this case had taken on an extraordinary level of intensity, pressure, and acrimony due to the potential defendant: former President Donald Trump.

Career officials from the FBI Washington field office eventually took an unusual step. They privately questioned a career DOJ prosecutor's political donations to Democrats and what they saw as his aggressive stance toward Trump.

In both the FBI and DOJ, career officials, unlike political appointees, are expected to act in a strictly non-partisan manner. But the hyperpatisanship of contemporary American politics had seeped into the Mar-a-Lago investigation and threatened to slow it.

The stakes were high for all of those in the room -- potentially career-ending -- and for the country. The DOJ and FBI officials were deadlocked over how to retrieve what were believed to be dozens of top-secret documents that Trump had taken from the White House to Mar-a-Lago and declined to return.

The DOJ and FBI officials shared the same feeling about the case: dread. After the National Archives repeatedly requested that Trump return the documents, some officials assumed Trump would simply hand over the materials. When he didn't, all of them saw no good options.

"You know what the reaction was in the department?" recalled a former FBI official involved in the case who asked not to be named. "We were like, 'Oh shit, we don't want any part of this. The real enemies are Russia and China.'"

Steven D'Antuono, then the head of the bureau's Washington field office and who has since retired, feared that the documents dispute would further erode public faith in the FBI.

"I was worried about it increasing distrust in us," D'Antuono told NBC News in his first on-the-record media interview about the Mar-a-Lago dispute, which was first reported by The Washington Post.

Inside the FBI, bipartisan criticism of its Hillary Clinton email investigation, Trump's firing of James Comey, and special counsel John Durham's probe of the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation had taken a toll.

"We all thought this posed a risk to us both professionally and personally," the former senior FBI official said. "I can't impress upon you the pressure."

He added, "We're trying to make the best decisions we can with all the emotions swirling."

The intense pressure also fueled distrust. Several FBI agents in the Washington field office were concerned about the aggressive tactics and political donations of Jay Bratt, one of the Justice Department prosecutors.

According to public records, Bratt, who now works for special counsel Jack Smith, had donated $600 to a former DOJ colleague's unsuccessful Democratic primary campaign for the U.S. Senate in Oregon in 2007, $150 to the Oregon Senate Democratic Campaign Committee that same year, and a total of $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 1993 and 1994.

Bratt, through the Justice Department press office, declined an interview request. DOJ officials flatly dismissed any claim that Bratt was biased against the former president.

They said that Bratt pursued all cases aggressively, noting that he had a long history of investigating the handling of classified documents by Democrats, including Hillary Clinton.

Oh sure, and we all remember the raid on Hillary Clinton's offices to recover the server full of classified information.

Oh wait, no we don't -- Hillary Clinton was allowed to destroy that evidence -- through the BleachBit data-erasure program -- and turn over instead a highly-sanitized version of her server. Which still had may classified documents on it.

And we all remember how Jay Bratt then prosecuted her for defying a subpoena and destroying evidence under subpeona, right?

In the Trump case, they added, Bratt had tried for months to seek a resolution with the former president that would not involve a search of Mar-a-Lago.

And Hillary Clinton refused to turn over her server, and you were fine with that. No raid. No warrant. No prosecution for obstruction of justice.

A senior DOJ official with knowledge of Bratt's work said in an interview that he had never seen him show political bias. "It would be hard for me to overstate how much I disagree with that characterization," said the official, who asked not to be named. "He is one of the finest career prosecutors I've worked with. I've never seen a hint of bias."

Said Merrick Garland. (I'll bet.)

D'Antuono, though, was concerned about the approach of the DOJ team investigating Trump, which Bratt led. "Jay was being a little overly aggressive," D'Antuono recalled. "The aggressiveness that was there, from day one."

In a less divisive era in American politics, personal political donations might have drawn less attention. It was generally accepted that career DOJ and FBI officials could put their personal politics aside and investigate any elected official, Republican or Democrat, in a fair and fact-based manner.

But 50 years after Watergate, American politics, culture, and news coverage had changed. Partisanship had steadily risen and been rewarded in Washington. Some politicians had grown tired of the independence of the DOJ and suspicious of career public servants. And the internet had created a powerful new way for politicians to circumvent the press and express their own unfiltered views directly to the public.

Trump had deftly taken advantage of all of these dynamics and been elected to the country's highest office. In the Trump era, bias was assumed, encouraged, and expected by many. Nonpartisan public service was increasingly dismissed as naive. And now, division and distrust threatened to delay the Mar-a-Lago investigation.

That populist cynic Trump destroyed confidence in our incorruptible institutions, not the incorruptible institutions becoming corrupt!

Hyperpartisanship, conspiracy theories, and distrust

The disagreement between the DOJ and FBI officials over Mar-a-Lago was a microcosm of the hyperpartisanship and conspiracy theories undermining public trust in government institutions. It also fueled divisions between and within the organizations.

When Matthew Olsen, the head of the DOJ's National Security Division, which investigates leaks of classified information, arrived at the Aug. 2 meeting at the FBI he brought a search warrant with him.

D'Antuono and other FBI agents were determined to recover the classified documents, but not in a way that they saw as needlessly provocative. D'Antuono worried that an FBI search of Mar-a-Lago would bolster years of exaggerated claims from Trump that the bureau was politically persecuting him.

You did investigate him for three years based on nothing but a fraudulent campaign oppo document commissioned, paid for, and promoted by Hillary Clinton.

Does that not count?

At the outset of the meeting at the FBI, Bratt argued that Trump's defiance was clear. After months of requests from the National Archives, the former president had returned 15 boxes of material that included 197 documents with classification markings in January 2022, a year after leaving office. Other documents from his time in the White House, though, appeared to be missing.

In other words, he was cooperating -- and far more than the conspicuously-unprosecuted Hillary Clinton was.

Biden Getting Ready for New Deep State Op: He Will Again Claim Russia Is Trying to "Interfere in the Election" By Pushing "Disinformation"

EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS NOW ON CNN: Biden administration to accuse Russia of sustained effort to influence 2024 election.

Disinformation? Like the Russia-forged Hunter Biden laptop?

Like the conspiracy theory that covid originated in a Wuhan lab funded by Anthony Fauci? Like the fake news that masks didn't work and social distancing was bullshit? Like the reich-wing lie that covering up faces during a child's most formative years might stunt their social development and speaking ability?

It just never ends.

So it must be ended.

The Biden administration on Wednesday plans to accuse Russia of a sustained effort to influence the 2024 US presidential election by using Kremlin-run media and other online platforms to target US voters with disinformation, six sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

Wow, what a scoop by CNN. Six Democrat ops called them up and asked "Can you do us a solid and push our newest designs in our Fall Disinformation Line? Thanks!"

It's expected the US will make a series of moves on Wednesday aimed at addressing the Kremlin's efforts including the White House publicly condemning the actions and the Justice Department announcing law enforcement action targeting the covert Russian campaign, the sources said.

RT, the Russian state media network, is a major focus of the US announcement, the sources said. US officials see the Russian outlet as a key piece of Kremlin propaganda efforts.

The Russian disinformation operation is being laundered through both Americans and non-American voices, four of the sources said.

Taken together, the actions would be the Biden administration's most significant public response yet to alleged Russian influence operations targeting American voters. After the US accused Iran of trying to hack both the Trump and Biden-Harris campaigns last month, Wednesday's expected actions are a reminder that US officials continue to see Russia as a prominent foreign influence threat to November's election, the sources said.

LOL, they're still pushing the idea that Iran tried to hack both Trump and the Democrats. Weirdly, only one was actually hacked.

But Russia, of course, is only attempting to help Trump.

On Wednesday afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland will host a meeting of the Justice Department's Election Threats Task Force that will be attended by senior law enforcement leaders, including FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Wednesday's expected announcements would be the second major effort by the Biden administration to blunt RT's influence in as many months. In July, the Justice Department accused an RT employee of being involved in a scheme that used a network of about 1,000 social media accounts to pose as US residents to spread disinformation about the Ukraine war and other topics. US officials accuse the Kremlin of financing the scheme; a Kremlin spokesperson denied the allegation.

Asked for comment, an RT spokesperson did not respond to the substance of the allegations, and instead emailed mocking comments including, "2016 called and it wants its clichés back."

A growing number of foreign operatives have attempted to influence US elections since Russia's 2016 activity, which included hacking the Democratic National Committee and leaking documents aimed at undercutting Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

So Russia was hacking to help Trump then, but Iran hacking Trump's accounts isn't trying to help Kamala. Iran is an equal-opportunity hacker, but Russia only has eyes for Trump.

In the 2024 election, Iran's alleged embrace of a similar hack-and-leak playbook that Russia used in 2016 has US officials on heightened alert. In June, a group of Iranian government-linked hackers successfully targeted the Trump campaign, stole internal campaign documents and shared them with news organizations. The hackers breached the email account of longtime Trump ally Roger Stone to target campaign staff, CNN has reported.

I see no mention of any efforts to hack Democrat accounts, and yet you keep asserting it's trying to hack both parties equally.

But US officials are also keeping a close eye on China, which US officials and private experts say uses a vast set of online accounts to also target US voters. Chinese leader Xi Jinping told US President Joe Biden that China would not interfere in the 2024 US presidential election when the two men met last November, CNN previously reported.

Oh well -- I mean, if Xi promised his agent Joe Biden he wouldn't interfere in the election to aid the party of his agent Joe Biden, that's good enough for me.

Update: Remember, Biden announced the FBI would again be having "little chats" with social media companies again to root out "disinformation."

Sylvester Stallone Reveals: I Survived an Abortion Attempt

Guy's been fighting since he was the size of an egg.

Sylvester Stallone, the star and writer of Rocky, shocked his daughters during an interview on their podcast when he mentioned that his mother tried to abort him.

His daughters, Sophia and Sistine, interviewed him on their podcast, Unwaxed, about the documentary, "Sly," which tells Stallone's life story. He started talking about his childhood in a home where "everybody was extremely unhappy with who they were."

He said his mother and father "were not parents" and not interested in raising children. Sistine said that she noticed in the documentary that he mentioned that his mother was nervous to have him, and she asked if he ever felt unwanted as a child.

He said that he felt hesitant sharing the story, but that his mother would regularly tell him "The only reason you're here is because the hanger didn't work." She also told him, "If there was really something wrong with your brain," she would have left him near an open window to freeze to death, "because I'd be doing you a favor."

He clarified that he was not joking.

The Decline of eCommerce

Not in quantity, but in reliability and quality. This decline is not universally true, but it is increasingly true in large online marketplaces. Where an eCommerce outlet has become a platform rather than a store as such, things are increasingly going screwy. Knockoffs abound, outright scams are more common and there is an apparent absence of accountability. The mechanism that is supposed to check excesses - purchaser reviews - are gamed more than ever thanks to AI, shills and the sheer volume of content.

I have experienced several - if you'll pardon the pun - prime examples of this on the largest retailer-cum-platform, Amazon. Whatever you need, you'll find it - sort of. You may find something real or something fake. You may find a reputable brand or you may find something with an unpronounceable name strung together to form some unique string that can be registered as a business name. You may find genuine good deals, or you may find dangerous trash and outright fraud. It's often impossible to tell which is which, and it's become a serious problem.

Good Morning Kids. WIth everything going on here and abroad, much of it intersecting in a singularity of Leftists/Democrats and Islam. focusing in on the in your face chutzpocrisy of Leftists is merely just reporting on yet another day ending in "Y" But, here's another example of stolen valor that kind of gave me a chuckle, and if you are of a certain age, I'm sure yoo'll get the joke.

Nevada Democrat scrubbed references to her husband serving veterans before launching reelection campaign . . .

. . . Rosen had little else in her political repertoire to lean on at the time. A former computer programmer and synagogue president, Rosen had scant relevant political experience to capitalize on when former Senate majority leader Harry Reid convinced her in late 2015 to launch her first congressional campaign. Through her husband’s experience working with military veterans "every day," Rosen told voters, she gained insight into the issues affecting America’s warriors that she brought to Washington, D.C.

"My husband is a radiologist, and for the last ten years, he has worked for our VA hospital," Rosen told C-SPAN in April 2017 during her first and only term in the House. "The hospital is a little bit newer, but he’s worked for the VA system. I’m very proud of him and the work he does there and the stories he brings home from our veterans. All the ones he works with and the ones he serves every day."

It was an inspiring story that Rosen told well into her 2018 Senate campaign. On her campaign website in April of that year, she said her husband was serving as a radiologist at the Southern Nevada VA Hospital in Las Vegas. Records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, however, show that wasn't true.

Wow, yet another self-gassing apostate Democrat, and a liar (pardon the multiple redundancies). But maybe in this instance when she states "her husband served veterans." She's speaking the truth. He got the recipe from the "To Serve Man" cookbook! Hey, we have to depopulate the earth in order to save it, so it's not much of a leap from Eat Zee Bugz to Eat Zee Vetz!

Meanwhile, as Donald Trump is being raked over the coals for a phony non-scandal over his appearance at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the sacrifice of 13 servicemen who died because Biden and Kamala-Hamas bugged out of Afghanistan resulting in the 13 being vaporized in a car bomb attack at Bagram airbase. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the McCain family:

Democrats are trying to make a big deal out of the fact that John McCain’s son, Jimmy, is now a registered Democrat who endorsed Kamala. This is not a big deal. John McCain loathed Trump and, to hurt Trump, he refused to release Americans from the scourge of Obamacare. McCain’s widow took an ambassadorship under Biden. McCain’s daughter is an ostensibly conservative commentator whose ideas usually align with the Democrats. Why, then, would it surprise anyone to know that Jimmy hates Trump, too?

What’s more interesting is whether Jimmy, when formally endorsing Kamala and explaining to CNN his reasons for doing so, violated the military’s long-standing directive against partisan military activity. I don’t pretend to be conversant with military laws and regulations, but I can read, and something doesn’t add up here.

. . . While the Hatch Act does not govern the military, it has self-imposed rules for non-partisanship. Of course, we know that the Pentagon is a political instrument as much as a military one. However, to guard against the appearance of impropriety, military personnel must meet an especially stringent standard. No one wants to worry that the American military could become a partisan instrument that could be turned against fellow Americans.
As best as I can tell, the Department of Defense’s last word on the subject was Directive 1344.10, issued in 2008, immediately after Barack Obama came to office. That Directive says that members of the American Armed Forces are entitled and, indeed, “encourage[d]...to carry out the obligations of citizenship.” However, paired with that civic obligation, Directive 1344.10 says that the military must respect “the traditional concept that members on active duty should not engage in partisan political activity...”

Nothing of course will ever come of this because unless McCain the lesser suddenly pulls an RFK Jr., he'll have the full cover of the Democrat Media complex to shield him. Plus he might have a future as a Kerry or a Walz, despite his lack of melanin and ovaries, natural or artificially installed. He could always convert to Islam, staple Schumer's foreskin to his crotch, call it a Joy Buzzer, dress him in a burqawitz and voila! an ersatz Bro-Fo ready for the Dems to install as the new shaykha of Arizonastan!

Meanwhile, as small-town America becomes swamped with illegal alien criminals, say what you will about speaker Mike Johnson, and whether this has a snowball's chance in Gaza, the reaction indicates that he is directly over the target.

Democrats are already pushing back against a Republican-led plan that would temporarily fund the federal government until March, decrying a separate bill attached to the measure that requires proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration. . .

. . . The SAVE Act was spearheaded by Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas with five Democrats joining 216 Republicans to pass the bill in July. Roy preemptively claimed that Democrats playing “pure politics” would cause the bill to fail.

With the right messaging and the guts to hammer the message home nonstop from now until November, the border disaster far outweighs the bullshit propaganda of a government shutdown. Hello Trump and hello GOP? The border disaster is a huge issue that crosses many political lines.

In a Tuesday appearance on the Lex Fridman Podcast, former President Donald Trump said he's "inclined" to release the Epstein files if he returns to the White House, stating he'd "have no problem with it." Trump also discussed various other topics, including his critiques of the Biden administration, his thoughts on the 2020 election, foreign policy, and the challenges of transitioning from business to politics.

Key Details:

Trump committed to releasing the Epstein files, asserting, "It probably will be [released] by the way," and emphasized, "I'd certainly take a look at it," adding, "I'd have no problem with it."

Former Aide to NY Democrat Governors Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul Arrested for Spying for China

The Chinese infiltration of government, mostly on the Democrat side, continues.

A former New York state government official who worked for former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul was charged Tuesday with acting as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government, federal prosecutors revealed in a sprawling indictment.

Linda Sun, who held numerous posts in New York state government before rising to the rank of deputy chief of staff for Hochul, was arrested Tuesday morning along with her husband, Chris Hu, at their $3.5 million home on Long Island.

Mb>Prosecutors said Sun, at the request of Chinese officials, blocked representatives of the Taiwanese government from having access to the governor's office, shaped New York governmental messaging to align with the priorities of the Chinese government and attempted to facilitate a trip to China for a high-level politician in New York, the indictment said. Hu is charged with money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification.

In return, she and her husband received benefits including help for Hu's China-based business activities and undisclosed tickets to performances by visiting Chinese orchestra and ballet groups, the indictment says. A Chinese government official's personal chef prepared "Nanjing-style salted ducks" that were delivered to Sun's parents' home, it adds.

The couple then laundered the financial proceeds, using them to buy their property in Manhasset, a condominium in Hawaii for $1.9 million, and luxury cars including a 2024 Ferrari, the indictment says.

"As alleged, while appearing to serve the people of New York as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP," United States Attorney Breon Peace said. "The illicit scheme enriched the defendant's family to the tune of millions of dollars."

Gold Star families who lost loved ones during the Afghanistan withdrawal condemned Vice President Kamala Harris Saturday for accusing former President Trump of "playing politics" with his visit to Arlington National Cemetery. In a series of videos, the families said that Trump's visit was to honor their fallen heroes, not for political gain.

It wasn't to help his political campaign," Schmitz said. "We wanted a leader. That explains why you and Joe didn't get a call."

It feels stupid to even rebut this because it's obviously a bad-faith attack. We're always playing a game of defending against bad-faith attacks, pointing out the facts, and pointing out where the Democrat-Media Party has done the same thing.

Hamas Murdered Six Hostages, Including One American, Just Before the IDF Came to Rescue Them; Hamas Also Releases Chilling Propaganda Hostage Videos of the Murder Victims

Trans Terrorist Manifesto Released

Hey, remember that shooting in Tennessee where the trans person killed kids and teachers and then the government refused to release the shooter's "manifesto" for some reason?

It was finally released.

And it was absolutely another case of leftwing terrorism.

In other entries, Hale wrote extensively about her gender identity, including a three-page entry the killer titled, "My Imaginary Penis," in which she wrote about expressing sexual fantasies with stuffed animals.

"I can pretend to be them [and] do the things boys do [and] experience my boy self as Tony," wrote Hale, adding that she became engrossed in the activities and lost track of time.

"God, I am such a pervert," she wrote. "I waste too much time in my fantasies."

Hale also wrote various entries about the attack she planned at the Covenant School, revealing she considered several dates before settling on March 27.

Though the journal offers scant evidence of a political ideology or motive for the attack, Hale wrote a political rant in an entry dated one month prior, when she complained the United States fails to respect the rights of disabled people, gun owners, and transgender people.

"So now [because] of you, I wish death on myself cause of the pure hatred of my female gender." Hale later wrote, "with no rights, anyone's country is a s***** dictatorship."

Hale also confirmed, in various entries, that she had been considering attacking the Covenant School for some time.

That seems like pretty strong evidence of a "political motivation" to me. She was brainwashed by trans propaganda that anyone who doesn't rush to "affirm" your gender identity and give you "gender euphoria" is "trying to force you to commit suicide."

It's just lies. The media is nothing but lies. It's lies all the way down.

The other issue? She was mentally insane.

And of course we're not allowed to note that transgenderism and mental illness are closely linked. Some might even say: because transgenderism is mental illness.

Hale's writings reveal her struggles with mental health, gender identity, and her planning of the deadly attack.

Throughout the entries, Hale expresses a deep sense of alienation and dissatisfaction with her life. In one chilling entry written in March 2023, just weeks before the attack, she declared, "Soon I will leave this world! You [and] your friends will be just fine. Does it even matter if I am alive?" This entry also features a recurring octagonal symbol that Hale associated with her planned attack.

BREAKING: 32 Venezuelan gang members reportedly overran an apartment complex in Chicago.

911 audio of the emergency has been released.

"6124 S King: caller says 32 Venezuelans are trespassing in the building, they are showing guns in the courtyard and they have motorcycles in the courtyard as well, all stairwells are filled."

Officers responded to the call but were unable to apprehend any subjects matching the description.

Chicago residents are starting to sound warnings about Venezuelan gangs moving in on the Windy City.

"This ain't Colorado. This is just like where you're from," a man going by @ Darulaaa said on Tik Tok. "The only difference is... we got switches."

An Aurora, Colorado complex was recently overrun by the notorious Venezuelan gang TdA. After local officials and the mayors of Aurora and Denver blamed media and residents for their alarm, the police began initiating armed sweeps to run out the gang members.

This is all the fault of the Biden administration and its "Border Czar" Kamala Harris, who is running for President of the United States.

If Harris becomes president, this is just the beginning.

In Aurora, liberals are expressing "concern" over the apartment-takeover there. Especially as regards the "impact on other migrants."

Yes, of course, that's the most important thing, always. The backlash.

Concern is growing in Aurora, Colorado over the presence of a Venezuelan gang.

The apartment complex, called The Edge at Lowry, had already seen neighbors complaining about a massive trash pile and alleged criminal activity.

The alleged gang activity is creating problems for migrants in the area.

They say the gang is ruining the reputation of migrants who don't cause trouble and are just trying to make a life for themselves here in the United States.

Groups representing them say the migrants are trying to get housing and jobs, but some in the community are reluctant to help fearing they may be part of a gang.

Aurora police concede that sure, there is lots of criminal illegal alien gang activity in the building, but dispute that this constitutes a "takeover."

It all depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

In a video from a news conference posted to the department's official X account late Friday evening, Aurora Police Department interim Chief Heather Morris said "gang members have not taken over" the apartment complex.

"I'm not saying that there's not gang members that don't live in this community," she said. "But what we're learning out here is that gang members have not taken over this complex."

Great, a white woke woman chief of police. Exactly who you want in charge.

Aurora's leadership has used the toughest language imaginable to describe this violent colonization of US territory. They call it -- please brace yourselves -- "a criminal nuisance."

The woke gay governor Jay Polis claims that your eyes are lying to you when you see heavily-armed gangsters breaking down doors in the apartment building.

While Coffman has been working to handle the situation, Colorado governor Jared Polis has been subtly undermining the city's efforts. In a statement to the New York Post on Thursday, the Democratic governor dismissed the incident as a figment of a Republican city councilmember's "imagination," despite video footage and the Aurora mayor's confirmation proving otherwise.

Meanwhile, former president Donald Trump vowed to deport the Venezuelan gang members out of the U.S. if he's reelected. "We're going to get them the hell out of here," he said at a Pennsylvania rally on Friday.

Polis literally claimed that it was just people's "imagination" that they were seeing an armed takeover by criminal gangs in their own apartment building, demanding people pay them "rent."

Then the videos came out, and Polis backpedaled. Slightly.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

Where is the United States Navy?

Of course we have a powerful presence within striking distance of the 7th century savages currently attacking ships off of Yemen...right?

Wrong. Perhaps the various live maps available on the internet are incorrect, but they show no carrier presence anywhere near Yemen.

But our track record of failure is comprehensive, even when we have carriers available. The Houthis, supported and supplied by Iran, control commercial shipping moving through the Gulf of Aden by attacking with Iranian missiles and drones or their own rudimentary navy. And why is that important? Because it is the only route into and out of the Red Sea, which leads to the Suez Canal, which is sort of a big deal for world shipping.

We have funded and supplied the Saudi armed forces for many years, yet they are incapable of defeating Iran's proxies just over their southern border. Our 230 year old navy, one of whose primary missions is maintaining freedom of the seas, has been proven to be incapable of defeating a bunch of fanatics in small boats, and their Iranian masters' missiles.

And we don't seem to care!

The Houthis now rule the Red Sea: America has silently admitted defeat

If the US Navy cannot even lift a blockade by Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, the idea of lifting a blockade around Taiwan is a complete fantasy. If the US cannot compete with the arms production of Iran, then the notion of somehow out-competing China should be put to bed immediately.

But this is also why the Red Sea defeat will be met with silence. More than any other conflict raging today, it highlights the crisis within the West’s military organisation, as well as the fact that there is no real way to fix it. To admit our powerlessness is to admit that the era of Western hegemony is already over. Faced with little alternative, we will continue to let the Houthis blow up our ships — and then pretend that none of it really matters.

The author is a bit histrionic, and no doubt his pessimism is driven in part by being a sophisticated Scandinavian, with a reflexive hatred of America. And obviously Taiwan would be a different situation.

But the facts speak for themselves. We are losing control of one of the main trade routes because of Iran, and all of our vaunted high tech weaponry and overwhelming force has done nothing.

There are many issues contributing to our navy's inability to fight and win against a tiny opponent. The first is the ridiculous idea of proportionality. The answer to the Houthis should be the total destruction of their fighting ability, not the carefully titrated destruction of a goatherd's hut with a couple of AKs buried in the sand. The second is more serious...there is no political will to combat Iranian intransigence. In fact, a good portion of our current government is supportive of an ascendant Iran, hoping that it can act as a counterbalance to those difficult Jews in Israel.

Until we have an administration that takes seriously the threat to world commerce and the colonialist expansionism of Iran, the Houthis...and Hezbollah...and Hamas will continue to have success.
