More Good Iraq News

So how can you help CentCom and others get the good videos and the good news out? Help K.T. Cat:

Here's your chance to help.

This week's World of Good post on his blog is an A-B comparison of a candid video vs. a produced one and a chance for the viewers to vote and leave feedback. Here it is:

http://ktcatspost.blogspot.com/2007/04/world-of-good-wog-contest-style.html

When we've garnered some data, I'll send it to all of the PAO folks I work with in the military and try to help them improve their work. This is an opinion war as much as it is a military one. If we cut and run in Iraq because of budget cuts, it's the same as if we lost on the battlefield. All of us have complained that the MSM has done a poor job broadcasting the good news. I'd suggest that the military needs to improve its message, too.

Come on, go help out!

Illegals: $2,200,000,000,000.00

A new study by the Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector found a household headed by an individual without a high school education, including about two-thirds of illegal aliens, costs U.S. taxpayers more than $32,000 in federal, state and local benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000 a year in taxes, resulting in a net tax burden of $22,449 each year.

Over the course of the household's lifetime that tax burden translates to $1.1 million.

If the lower figure of 12 million illegal aliens is used for estimation purposes, the total tax burden translates to $2.2 trillion. (link)

Do you open-borders people understand? I know that you don't CARE how much things cost, but do you comprehend this expense for having no southern border? Ignore the lack of assimilation and the loss of the unique American culture. Ignore the creation of an underclass that, historically, ends up rising up with violence. Ignore the fact that we are encouraging and showing disrespect for the law. Ignore the terrorist threats that we are allowing over the border. Just look at the financial cost of letting these people do "jobs Americans won't do."

Again, Bush, and other scumbags who claim that, add more to your phrase. They're not "jobs Americans won't do;" it's "Jobs Americans won't do for that piddly amount of pay." And this is the cost of allowing illegals to come to do those jobs.

American should have a southern border. Today's Congress and President Bush STRONGLY disagree. Support Tom Tancredo for president -- he will support America. He will reduce this 2.2 TRILLION dollar tax burden on the working people.

Crime in Charlotte

Recently 2 Charlotte police officers were murdered in cold blood. Many in the area have written about their murder. The killer has been arrested and will likely be executed, maybe in 2020 or so, but maybe not. So, what's the result of these murders? Charlotte mayor Pat Mccrory wants some cash from Raleigh.

Really.

He's gone to Raleigh with some other political leaders claiming this shows they need more money for prosecutors and district attorneys.

However, over the last 12 years (yes, TWELVE years) that's he's been mayor, he and the city council managed to find tens of millions of dollars for a new convention center; tens of millions for a new basketball arena; millions to build a Nascar museum; hundreds of millions for light rail; and millions to build art museums. I do not see how someone can spend literally hundreds of millions of dollars on this sort of thing and yet claim they don't have enought to hire district attorneys.

I know they will claim that the state funds the criminal justice system -- but there is no law that says that the city and county cannot ALSO spend money on this system -- they just simply do not want to. There is no question that the city does need more money to be spent on the justice system -- but they already HAVE the money, they would literally rather build fancy stadiums and musems than protect the innocent from the criminal element in Charlotte.

Oh, but one of the Democrat Senators from Charlotte, Sen. Malcolm Graham, has the solution. He wants to increase funding "for the justice system" -- he wants to spend cash on "programs to provide activities for our youth." Gee, Mr. Graham, what program would you suggest for 25-year old Demetrius Montgomery who murdered those two policeman? Should we pay for him to play basketball or air hockey?

If you value your life, Charlotte is not a place to go to -- they honestly would rather have a new train than have safe streets.

Thank you, Readers

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank you -- yes, you, the person reading this right now. Based on the logs for the site, there are a number of people who come by and read and who do not comment. I know some stop by to read commentary on various national political events. I know there's others who come by for the daily commentary and news on North Carolina Government events and activities. And there's still others who stop by for the afternoon or Friday silliness sections.

Well, for whatever reason you come by, whatever method you arrive (from another site, a bookmark, a random search, or a blog scanner like BlogExplosion), thank you for stopping by and thank you for reading. Without readers, a blog really doesn't have quite as much of a purpose.

ESPN Channels Jackie Robinson

"What would Jackie think?"

That's the title of John Helyar's politically charged ESPN article. It's a long article, but basically Mr. Helyar says that Jackie Robinson is a major-league racist who only views people based on the color of their skin -- and in addition, Jackie Robinson also would agree with Mr. Helyar who thinks that Major League Baseball should hire and fire people based on their skin color instead of their abilities.

John claims that Jackie Robinson would be upset that the best players are playing the game of baseball and that there aren't more black-skinned people, regardless of their physical abilities.

Then Mr. Helyar goes on to complain that "lily white executives" aren't spending their money the way Mr. Helyar personally thinks they should. He doesn't give an exact amount, but he complains that they're not spending enough of their money (not his) on "marketing to the black community."

Next he complains that black people have the nerve to focus on basketball instead of baseball and that's why there's not as many black baseball players. And in the world according to John Helyar, apparently these black people shouldn't be free to choose the sport they want to play in -- they should choose their sports preferences as only he believes they should. Again, he's not specific in the exact percentage of blacks that should play each sport.

He quotes Jules Tygiel, a "Robinson scholar," who thinks that Major League baseball should immediately start turning away people who are good baseball players that have white skin in favor of others. He doesn't name if he specifically wants Jason Giambi or someone else to be replaced with players with black skin.

Oh, and the fact that MLB is ALREADY spending money on racist acts to specifically exclude people of white skin with things like the $10 million "urban youth" facility doesn't matter.

When you have racists like John Helyar, it's NEVER enough. Blatant racists like this always want more -- and they want more of someone else's money, they don't want to work for it at all. We need to call these people what they are -- blatant racists with an agenda only to steal from others.

Good Iraq News

Once again, KT Cat has another video up showing good things in Iraq. As KT Cat points out, this is likely Christians protecting Muslims. Go ahead and try and claim Christianity is the same as Islam -- it's the Muslims who are blowing up innocent children while the Christians protect them.

Historical Significance

This was forwarded to me by VW Bug. Just read and ponder.

Historical Significance for today's world:

Sixty-three years ago, Nazi Germany had overrun almost all of Europe and hammered England to the verge of bankruptcy and defeat. The Nazis had sunk more than 400 British ships in their convoys between England and America taking food and war materials

At that time the US was in an isolationist, pacifist mood, and most Americans wanted nothing to do with the European or the Asian war

Then along came Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 , and in outrage Congress unanimously declared war on Japan , and the following day on Germany , who had not yet attacked us. It was a dicey thing. We had few allies

France was not an ally, as the Vichy government of France quickly aligned itself with its German occupiers. Germany was certainly not an ally, as Hitler was intent on setting up a Thousand Year Reich in Europe . Japan was not an ally, as it was well on its way to owning and controlling all of Asia .

Together, Japan and Germany had long-range plans of invading Canada and Mexico , as launching pads to get into the United States over our northern and southern borders, after they finished gaining control of Asia and Europe .

America's only allies then were England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Australia, and Russia . That was about it All of Europe , from Norway to Italy (except Russia in the East) was already under the Nazi heel.

The US was certainly not prepared for war. The US had drastically downgraded most of its military forces after WW I because of the depression, so that at the outbreak of WW II, Army units were training with broomsticks because they didn't have guns, and cars with "tank" painted on the doors because they didn't have real tanks A huge chunk of our Navy had just been sunk or damaged at Pearl Harbor.

Britain had already gone bankrupt, saved only by the donation of $600 million in gold bullion in the Bank of England (that was actually the property of Belgium ) given by Belgium to England to carry on the war when Belgium was overrun by Hitler (a little known fact).

Actually, Belgium surrendered on one day, because it was unable to oppose the German invasion, and the Germans bombed Brussels into rubble the next day just to prove they could

Britain had already been holding out for two years in the face of staggering losses and the near decimation of its Royal Air Force in the Battle of Britain, and was saved from being overrun by Germany only because Hitler made the mistake of thinking the Brits were a relatively minor threat that could be dealt with later. Hitler, first turned his attention to Russia, in the late summer of 1940 at a time when England was on the verge of collapse.

Ironically, Russia saved America's butt by putting up a desperate fight for two years, until the US got geared up to begin hammering away at Germany.

Russia lost something like 24,000,000 people in the sieges of Stalingrad and Moscow alone . . 90% of them from cold and starvation, mostly civilians, but also more than a 1,000,000 soldiers

Had Russia surrendered, Hitler would have been able to focus his entire war effort against the Brits, then America . If that had happened, the Nazis could possibly have won the war.

All of this has been brought out to illustrate that turning points in history are often dicey things. Now, we find ourselves at another one of those key moments in history.

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants, and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world.

The Jihadis, the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs -- they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world. To them, all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated. They want to finish the Holocaust, destroy Israel , and purge the world of Jews. This is their mantra . (goal)

There is also a civil war raging in the Middle East -- for the most part not a hot war, but a war of ideas. Islam is having its Inquisition and its Reformation, but it is not yet known which side will win -- the Inquisitors, or the Reformationists.

If the Inquisition wins, then the Wahhabis, the Jihadis, will control the Middle East, the OPEC oil, and the US, European, and Asian economies.

The techno-industrial economies will be at the mercy of OPEC -- not an OPEC dominated by the educated, rational Saudis of today, but an OPEC dominated by the Jihadis. Do you want gas in your car? Do you want heating oil next winter? Do you want the dollar to be worth anything? You had better hope the Jihad, the Muslim Inquisition, loses, and the Islamic Reformation wins.

If the Reformation movement wins, that is, the moderate Muslims who believe that Islam can respect and tolerate other religions, live in peace with the rest of the world, and move out of the 10th century into the 21st, then the troubles in the Middle East will eventually fade away. A moderate and prosperous Middle East will emerge.

We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the Inquisition, i.e., the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it somewhere. We can't do it everywhere at once. We have created a focal point for the battle at a time and place of our choosing . . . . . . . . in Iraq . Not in New York, not in London , or Paris or Berlin , but in Iraq , where we are doing two important things.

(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly involved in the 9/11 terrorist attack or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively supporting the terrorist movement for decades Saddam is a terrorist! Saddam is, or was, a weapon of mass destruction, responsible for the deaths of probably more than a 1,000,000 Iraqis and 2,000,000 Iranians.

(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic terrorism in Iraq . We have focused the battle. We are killing bad people, and the ones we get there we won't have to get here. We also have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq , which will be a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East, and an outpost for a stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East for as long as it is needed.

WW II, the war with the Japanese and German Nazis, really began with a "whimper" in 1928. It did not begin with Pearl Harbor. It began with the Japanese invasion of China . It was a war for fourteen years before the US joined it. It officially ended in 1945 -- a 17 year war -- and was followed by another decade of US occupation in Germany and Japan to get those countries reconstructed and running on their own a gain . . a 27 year war.

WW II cost the United States an amount equal to approximately a full year's GDP -- adjusted for inflation, equal to about $12 trillion dollars. WW II cost America more than 400,000 soldiers killed in action, and nearly 100,000 still missing in action.

The Iraq war has, so far, cost the United States about $160,000,000,000, which is roughly what the 9/11 terrorist attack cost New York. It has also cost about 3,000 American lives, which is roughly equivalent to lives that the Jihad killed (within the United States) in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

The cost of not fighting and winning WW II would have been unimaginably greater -- a world dominated by Japanese Imperialism and German Nazism.

This is not a 60-Minutes TV show, or a 2-hour movie in which everything comes out okay. The real world is not like that. It is messy, uncertain, and sometimes bloody and ugly. It always has been, and probably always will be.

The bottom line is that we will have to deal with Islamic terrorism until we defeat it, whenever that is. It will not go away if we ignore it.

If the US can create a reasonably democratic and stable Iraq , then we have an ally, like England , in the Middle East, a platform, from which we can work to help modernize and moderate the Middle East. The history of the world is the clash between the forces of relative civility and civilization, and the barbarians clamoring at the gates to conquer the world.

The Iraq War is merely another battle in this ancient and never ending war. Now, for the first time ever, the barbarians are about to get nuclear weapons. Unless somebody prevents them from getting them.

We have four options:

1 . We can defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons.

2 . We can fight the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which may be as early as next year, if Iran 's progress on nuclear weapons is what Iran claims it is).

3 . We can surrender to the Jihad and accept its dominance in the Middle East now; in Europe in the next few years or decades, and ultimately in America .

OR

4 . We can stand down now, and pick up the fight later when the Jihad is more widespread and better armed, perhaps after the Jihad has dominated France and Germany and possibly most of the rest of Europe . It will, of course, be more dangerous, more expensive, and much bloodier.

If you oppose this war, I hope you like the idea that your children, or grandchildren, may live in an Islamic America under the Mullahs and the Sharia, an America that resembles Iran today.

The history of the world is the history of civilization clashes, cultural clashes. All wars are about ideas, ideas about what society and civilization should be like, and the most determined always win.

Those who are willing to be the most ruthless always win. The pacifists always lose, because the anti-pacifists kill them.

Remember, perspective is every thing, and America 's schools teach too little history for perspective to be clear, especially in the young American mind.

The Cold War lasted from about 1947 at least until the Berlin Wall came down in 1989; forty-two years!

Europe spent the first half of the 19th century fighting Napoleon, and from 1870 to 1945 fighting Germany !

World War II began in 1928, lasted 17 years, plus a ten year occupation, and the US still has troops in Germany and Japan . World War II resulted in the death of more than 50,000,000 people, maybe more than 100,000,000 people, depending on which estimates you accept.

The US has taken more than 3,000 killed in action in Iraq . The US took more than 4,000 killed in action on the morning of June 6, 1944 , the first day of the Normandy Invasion to rid Europe of Nazi Imperialism.

In WW II the US averaged 2,000 KIA a week -- for four years. Most of the individual battles of WW II lost more Americans than the entire Iraq war has done so far

The stakes are at least as high. A world dominated by representative governments with civil rights, human rights, and personal freedoms ... or a world dominated by a radical Islamic Wahhabi movement, by the Jihad, under the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law) .

It's difficult to understand why the average American does not grasp this. They favor human rights, civil rights, liberty and freedom, but evidently not for Iraqis.

"Peace Activists" always seem to demonstrate here in America , where it's safe.

Why don't we see Peace Activist demonstrating in Iran , Syria , Iraq , Sudan , North Korea, in the places that really need peace activism the most? I'll tell you why! They would be killed!

The liberal mentality is supposed to favor human rights, civil rights, democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc., but if the Jihad wins, wherever the Jihad wins, it is the end of civil rights, human rights, democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc.

Americans who oppose the liberation of Iraq are coming down on the side of their own worst enemy!

NC Democrats Help the Rich

So, do you think that an annual salary of over $70,000 qualifies someone as in the "rich" category? The US Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the US average salary as just $36,000. And Democrats continue to claim, over and over again, that they're for the "working man" and for "the poor." Well, the NC House (majority Democrats) just voted to give a 12% raise to certain state employees earning over $70,000.

House Bill 1299 just passed the House and it gives that raise. Oh, but it's okay because it's "for the children." This 12% raise is for teachers who make over $70,000. What? You didn' t know there were such things? You thought that all teachers made $12,000 a year, didn't you?

And if you read the formerly mainstream media, I'm sure you will have trouble understanding that on average North Carolina teachers make $2,700 more each year than their peers across the country. You might also not know that teacher pay in North Carolina has increased almost TWENTY percent in the past five years. So, have you gotten a 20% raise in the past five years -- for doing NO additional work? I know I haven't.

Once again -- that's North Carolina Democrats giving a massive 12% raise to state employees who already make in excess of $70,000. That's how they "help the poor."

Great Global Warming Swindle

Here's a video. It's a LONG video -- an hour and fifteen minutes. But it really exposes and shows the actual, real, details about "how a media scare became the defining idea of a generation."

A few quotes from the video:

"You can't say that CO2 drives climate -- it never has in the past!"

"It [global warming] is a political activist movement -- not based on science."

"Tens of thousands of jobs depend on global warming right now... it's a big business... it's an industry... if it were to collapse, there'd be thousands of people out of work."

"If you disagree, you are called a heretic."

"The earth's climate is ALWAYS changing...and has changed without any help from humans."

"If we go back 8,000 years, it was MUCH warmer than it is today -- for over 300 years. And polar bears clearly survived that time."

"After the post-war economic industrial boom, temperatures DROPPED for 40 years...when human production of CO2 was rapidly increasing, the temperatures were decreasing."

"Observations shows that there is no temperature increase due to greenhouse gases"

Algore likes to say that CO2 levels are high when temperature is high. What he leaves out is the fact that the temperature LEADS CO2 levels. In other words, instead of high CO2 levels causing high temperatures, according to the actual data from algore's ice samples, high temperatures CAUSE high levels of CO2 and not the other way around.

They said, "if the CO2 increases in the atmosphere, as a greenhouse gas, then the temperature will go up." But the ice core records show exactly the opposite. So the fundamental assumptions, THE most fundamental assumption of the whole theory of climate change due to humans is shown to be wrong.

"Humans are not the main source of carbon dioxide"

"If you heat the surface of the ocean, it will emit more carbon dioxide."

"It was the sun, not carbon dioxide or anything else, that was driving changes in the climate."

"The sun is driving climate change. CO2 is irrelevant."

"By the 1990s tens of billions of government dollars were being diverted into research on global warming."

The analogy I use is, "My car's not running very well; so I'm going to ignore the engine, which is the sun; and I'm going to ignore the transmission, which is water vapor; and I'm going to look at one nut on the right rear wheel, which is the human-produced CO2. The science is that bad.

It's a long movie, but very well-worth watching the entire thing if you really want the real facts about the man-made global warming myth, what the climate is really doing and why; and why man-man global warming is such a big deal and so hard-pushed by so many.

Moral Equivalence

One of the favored tactics of the left/Democrats/media in America is that of "moral equivalence." What's scary is that they actually believe this. That's why they can do and say many of the things they do -- they honestly believe everything is completely equal -- no matter what.

They believe that Americans and underdeveloped civilizations in the Amazon rain forest are identical. They believe that Republicans and Hitler are one and the same. They believe that Christianity today, a religion that preaches nothing but peace, is exactly the same as radical Islam that uses children to slaughter innocents. They refuse to accept that American culture is actually better than living in slavery in Saudi Arabia.

Now it appears the Madman ImADinnerJacket, leader of Iran, has decided to use that exact argument. I'm betting that the left in this country will completely and totally support him. I will be surprised if there are not leaders of the Democrat party absolutely screaming for the release of these terrorists by the time you read this.

You see, ImADinnerJacket says that since he released 15 British sailors that he had kidnapped in international waters who had done nothing wrong; that America should release 5 Iranians who are helping to develop a nuclear bomb for the madman. Oh, and the U.N. should recognize his right to develop a nuclear bomb to destroy Israel. And in the mind of the Democrats, those are equal, reasonable actions. Tell me again why you fools vote for Democrats?

OR to Outlaw Christians

Sure, everyone knows that Oregon is a pretty liberal place. Everyone knows that if you want socialism in America, that's a good place to go. And I'm quite often in favor of self-government -- let people get what they vote for. Of course, there's limits. The first limit should be that they have to pay for it themselves. Then socialism would fail quickly. The second is that pesky thing that liberals absolutely despite: the U.S. Constitution.

The Constitution is very clear on many issues. Of course, if the Democrats don't like some portion of it, they tend to just ignore it. And with the 9th circus court overseeing Oregon, they often get support in their destruction of the Constitution. I expect no less this time.

The Senate in OR has passed a law that will make it illegal to be a Christian in the state. The governor has already indicated he will sign it. The only hope for any semblance of freedom in Oregon is to stop the bill in the OR House.

This bill, hailed by the hate-filled gay movement, will make it illegal to have a church. It will criminalize thought. It will require that children in the state accept and approve of homosexuality -- if they don't, they may not be permitted to get a high school diploma.

This law would require churches to hire homosexual -- in any position that the homosexual wants. The bill would create quotas for other businesses and would require each business to meet this quota of queers in the company.

Sorry, gay bastards, your behavior is NOT a civil right. This would be the first law of it's kind to attempt to make voluntary ACTIONS a "protected" civil right. And it would destroy any semblance of any Christianity in the state. This law would clearly and openly violate the first amendment regarding both speech and religion. But as the OR Constitution Party says, if this passes, perhaps it's time for another civil war.

NC Poll Results

Results of a recent poll of "450 North Carolina voters" claims that banning freedom of association across the entire state is supported by 67% of people. 58% of people support all businesses being run by government. And 65% of people want the state to make gasoline, oil, and all plastic and rubber products more expensive.

So, do you believe the poll? Why not? It was reported in the news. And it was done by an organization called "Public Policy Polling." But that's what they're reporting, so clearly the NC Legislature should immediately scrap their Constitution and secede from the union so they can disobey the US Constitution, right? That's what Tim Boyum of News 14 Carolina is clearly implying.

Oh, did I mention that the 3 people who make up the "Polling company" are HUGE liberals? The "CEO" of the 3-person operation gave $8,500 (is that more than the legal maximum?) to his Democrat Congressional candidate. He gave $1,330 to Kerry for President. He gave $2,750 to John Edwards. He gave $1,250 to the Democrat Party of NC. He gave $0 to any Republican or Republican organization. Think he and his polls might be slightly biased? And no, the "news" report that showed these socialist results never bothered to mention this blatant bias and agenda.

And no, this isn't satire. This isn't a made-up post. This is really what the poll claims that people want in NC. They used slightly different words than I did, but the results are identical. They honestly are claiming that the people of North Carolina WANT total government control of industry and freedom. Well, they are mostly Democrats, so I suppose the poll could actually be accurate. And that should scare anyone who likes freedom.

He is Risen!

1 Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered His words. 9 Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Lunatics, Not Christians

In the Philippines, there's a group of people that nail themselves to the cross each Easter. They're not representing the Christian faith. In fact, they're obviously very confused about the Christian faith. They come from an area of Catholics, but they're nothing more than a tourist attraction now.

And yes, I'll take issue with American Tourist Dennis Smith who says,

It's not my belief, but I know that they are sincere in what they are doing so I respect it

Nope, sorry. I do NOT respect them. They're just plain wrong. They're making a mockery of Jesus, whether they realize it or not. I don't know if they were taught lies, or if they just came up with this idea on their own. They don't seem to realize that Jesus already gave his life on the cross. They're not "repenting" for anything.

Oh, and there's the little difference in that Jesus actually died, while these folks just suffer for a little while, then get down when they're done playing. Sounds like some sex games from San Francisco, if you ask me.

No, I don't respect them because they're wrong, plain and simple. And if you know any of them, I'd be glad to tell them so. Jesus gave his life so that people would NOT have to suffer like this. And to do it willingly? Where's the honor in that?

It might be religious, but so is algore, the environmentalists, the gay movement, and the Democrat party. But none of them have anything to do with Jesus or the Christian religion.

Defense of Property?

So, are you allowed to defend your own property in America?

No.

Of course, to even consider this question, you have to actually believe you can OWN property in America -- and you simply cannot. If you think you own property, I challenge you to not pay your yearly rent to your Lord and Master and watch how quickly you find yourself arrested and in your own personal 6x8 space.

This time it's Sacramento (what a shock) that has determined that it is a felony to attempt to defend your own property. This case is about a man who was approached by 3 teenagers at 3am at his home.

Now stop right there and imagine that situation. It's 3:00 in the morning. 3 teenagers who you don't know are coming towards you outside your own home. I'm betting they weren't wearing suits and ties. So what are you thinking?

Apparently, these three thugs were trying to steal the man's car. He shot one of the slimeballs in the chest. So, as usual in a land dominated by lefist thought, the car thief goes free and the crime victim goes to jail on a felony charge with a $30,000 bail.

The argument, according to the thugs in Sacramento with blue uniforms is:

What we try to stress to people is that deadly force, the use of a firearm, is never justified under any circumstances to protect property.

Know what? That's just plain wrong. I'm sure I'll get heat for this, and I'm not saying that you can shoot someone who steals a paper clip from you; but you should absolutely be able to defend yourself and your property by whatever means are necessary and reasonable. Being approached at 3:00am by three unknown teenagers is certainly reasonable grounds to assume the worst. This man did absolutely nothing wrong -- the teenagers who attacked him did.

Of course, the big mistake made by the man was that he was honest. In today's current legal system in America, being honest will only get you in trouble. You see, if the man had uttered the magical seven words, this would be a completely different situation -- even if they weren't true: "I was in fear for my life."

But that is the reality of today's horrible, degenerate, backwards "civilization" in America: the guilty are free, crime victims are punished, and being honest with the "authorities" only makes things worse. Oh, how I yearn for freedom.

TX Senate Endorses Religous Hatred

In case you missed it, if you live in Texas and are anything but a Muslim, the Texas Senate endorses hatred of you.

Once again, this shows the utter intolerance of the left. This official prayer, endorsed by the Texas Senate, openly despises Christians and explicits leaves them out of the "prayers." Now imagine if a Christian Pastor showed up anywhere near a government building and said, "I pray only for Christians, not those heathen Jews and Muslims."

The left HATES tolerance. The left rejoices when Muslims like this explicitly and openly leave out and show prejudice against Christians. This is a clear distinction between the right and the left. When Christians pray, they don't pray only for themselves. Christians don't pray for Muslims to be left out or destroyed. Christians are inclusive and pray for everyone, even if the ACLU hates them.

But not the left.

So, if you're in Texas, if you're not Muslims, you're not wanted in the Senate.

Proud to be American

Go watch this EXCELLENT video over at K.T. Cat's. America IS helping. The people of Iraq ARE better off. Forget the media, forget the Democrats -- their agenda is failure and we're doing good despite them.

The King on a Cross

32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. And they divided His garments and cast lots. 35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God. 36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, 37 and saying, If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself. 38 And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:

THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us. 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong. 42 Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom. 43 And Jesus said to him, Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

Jesus Dies on the Cross

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. Having said this, He breathed His last. 47 So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous Man! 48 And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. 49 But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

Jesus Buried in Josephs Tomb

50 Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man. 51 He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God. 52 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before. 54 That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near. 55 And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. 56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
