The New York Times, Which Demanded the Resignation of an Editor for Publishing an Op-Ed by Senator Tom Cotton, Publishes an Op-Ed By the Hamas-Appointed Mayor of Gaza City

He is a Hamas member, and he was not elected to the post, but installed by Hamas as a warlord.

The New York Times refused to disclose this fact to readers.

He also cites claims of casualty counts that come from Hamas "authorities" only, and have not been confirmed by any third party.

A guest op-ed in the New York Times by Gaza City's Hamas-appointed mayor, Yahya R. Sarraj, decrying damage to buildings as Israeli forces have worked to free hostages has drawn equal measures of ridicule and disgust.
The essay was released on Christmas Eve and sought to outline examples of destruction in Gaza after Hamas terrorists killed and kidnapped Israeli, American and other civilians on Oct. 7.
It was entitled: "I Am Gaza City's Mayor. Our Lives and Culture Are in Rubble"
Sarraj wrote of his hurt and pain at the "invasion" causing the destruction of infrastructure in the aftermath of deadly Hamas terrorist attack.

The Israeli invasion has caused the deaths of more than 20,000 people, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, and destroyed or damaged about half the buildings in the territory. The Israelis have also pulverized something else: Gaza City's cultural riches and municipal institutions.
The unrelenting destruction of Gaza -- its iconic symbols, its beautiful seafront, its libraries and archives and whatever economic prosperity it had -- has broken my heart.
He condemned without irony or self awareness the "obliteration of our way of life in Gaza," and said he felt he was living in a nightmare thanks to the "horrific campaign of destruction and death" but did not call for the release of the hostages which would help end the attacks by Israel.

You had your fun. You thought you were cute. You thought it was clown-time, and you were driving the little car. You touched the top of my turkey and provolone hoagie, and now I've had to rip off the piece of bread that you fucking contaminated.

Well I've got news for you, Chuckles. Clown-time is over. Now it's Psycho-Time. And if you touch my goddamned hoagie one more time, I'm going to fuck you up so bad you'll end up looking like Kuato from Total Recall.

Don't believe me? Think I'm joshing with you? Look at my face: I am not joshing with you, pal. I am deadly serious, and if you so much as fucking lay another finger on this sandwich you'll enter a world of hurt of beyond your very capability to conceive. No fuckin' foolin', you touch this hoagie one more time and I will spill life's blood all over this fucking Quizno's.

You finished your fucking cobb salad and now you're still hungry. Well, Poindexter, who the fuck told you to order that fucking cobb salad? I sure as shit didn't. Iran has boosted its production of highly enriched uranium after a slowdown earlier this year, the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog said in a report on Tuesday, according to Reuters and the Associated Press.
Iran is currently enriching uranium up to 60%, which is reaching the 90% needed for weapons, at its Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant (PFEP) in the Natanz complex and at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP).
Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said in the report that Iran had "increased its production of highly enriched uranium, reversing a previous output reduction from mid-2023."

Speaking of people who Just Want Peace (TM): Egypt proposed that Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad give up power in Gaza in exchange for the ceasefire they claim is so precious to them.

According to two Egyptian sources cited by the Reuters news agency, the plan has been rejected by both of the terror groups.
Hamas and PIJ are said to be unwilling to discuss any concessions beyond the release of hostages.

Red Christmas in Blue Cities: Deranged Homeless Man Stabs Two Girls on the Subway in NYC; 18 Shot In Chicago Over Christmas Weekend

Call them the Squad Murders. Letting all the killers and muggers run wild has consequences that is measured in human blood, it turns out.

In New York City, there was a racist stabbing of two young girls. You won't hear it described as a racist stabbing by the racist Marxist press, of course.

A troubled vagrant randomly stabbed two teenage girls enjoying a Christmas morning meal with their parents at a Grand Central Terminal restaurant -- after ranting that he wanted "all white people dead," authorities said.
The girls, 14- and 16-year-olds visiting from South America, were attacked at Tartinery in the Grand Central Dining Concourse around 11:25 a.m. Monday and suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds, police and sources said.
"I want all the white people dead," the suspect, Steven Hutcherson, 36, allegedly yelled, according to police sources. "I want to sit next to the crackers."
He then allegedly lunged at the unsuspecting teens, plunging a knife into the 16-year-old's back, nicking her lungs, and stabbing the younger girl in the thigh, police and a law enforcement source said.
Hutcherson -- who cops and sources said has a slew of prior arrests and a history of mental health issues -- had allegedly popped up at the restaurant and said he wanted a table but wasn't going to order anything, staffers told The Post.

Meanwhile, in Obama's home town -- just kidding, he slummed there to take advantage of the infamously corrupt political machine, and then left forever when he conned the nation into electing him president -- there were 18 shootings over the two days of the pre-Christmas weekend.

At least 18 people were shot, two of them fatally, during the first two days of the Christmas weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson's (D) Chicago.
The weekend's first shooting fatality occurred at 12:44 p.m. Saturday when a 28-year-old man was shot "in the 2400 block of West 55th Street" while on the sidewalk, CBS News reported. The shots were fired by someone inside a vehicle.
The 28-year-old was struck in the head and transported to a hospital, where he died.

Another woman was shot in the head and killed while driving a car in Chicago the day after Christmas.

A 30-year-old woman was shot in the head and killed while driving the day after Christmas in Mayor Brandon Johnson's (D) Chicago.
ABC 7 reported that police received reports of a vehicle crash "in the 4800-block of West Thomas Street" around 8:44 p.m. Tuesday. They responded to find a 30-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head behind the wheel of a vehicle that had hit two others.
The woman was deceased.
Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman fleeing the deceased woman's vehicle after the crash.

Biden's State Department Is Paying a Soros-Funded Muslim Organization in India to Promote "Queer" Artists

The State Department is providing financial support to a "queer" Muslim organization in India so it can provide "LGBTQI" people in the regions with a platform to write, according to a grant listing.
The grant was disbursed in September to Creating Resources for Empowerment and Action, a Soros-funded feminist group that advances "the sexual rights of all people," and went on to fund the Queer Muslim Project, which is an "online platform for queer, Muslim and allied voices" based in India. The grant, which amounts to $15,000, purports to "support the achievement of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security."

Soros is a corrupt Marxist billionaire. Why can't he fund this himself, like he funds pro-murder District Attorneys?

President Joe Biden made it the policy of the United States to advance "LGBTQI+" rights around the world after he took office in 2021.
Moreover, this isn't the first time the State Department has partnered with the Queer Muslim Project.
The U.S. Consulate General Mumbai partnered with the Queer Muslim Project beginning in March to hold a 10-week "creative incubator" for young LGBTQIA+ writers called the "Queer Writer's Room." The consulate called the initiative a "narrative change program."

The State Department is prepared to spend $15 million to create "gender scholars" at American universities in Egypt and Lebanon by promoting gender studies at those institutions, according to a public grants database.
The State Department is offering to spend up to $15 million over five years as part of its "Tomorrow's Leaders Gender Scholars Program" which will "support students to advance and deepen their engagement in gender studies" and "increase their participation in gender studies." As part of the program, students who enroll in at least one gender studies course per semester will have their tuition paid by U.S. taxpayers.

Via Hot Air, Biden is also paying Hamas supporters to promote "climate justice," but what that means in reality is "the eradication of all Jewish 'occupiers.'"

In the aftermath of Hamas's Oct. 7 terror attack against Israel, left-wing nonprofit Climate Justice Alliance expressed "unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian freedom struggle" and blamed the attack on Israeli "settler-colonialism." Now, the Biden administration is entrusting the group to distribute $50 million in taxpayer funds.

President Joe Biden's Environmental Protection Agency announced the move in a Wednesday press release, which named Climate Justice Alliance as one of several "national grantmakers" tasked with doling out $50 million to local organizations in the name of "environmental justice." In order to receive the taxpayer funds, those organizations will primarily work with the alliance, not the Biden administration. As a "grantmaker," the left-wing nonprofit is tasked with awarding "subgrants"--which range from $150,000 to $350,000 each--and implementing "tracking and reporting systems."

The left just never runs out of ways to have the government fund political operations directed at the American populace. This should all be illegal.

Don't Look It Up

As a child, a common refrain I heard from both parents and teachers was, "go look it up." This was a favorite of my dad's. If I went to him with a question about something I could look up, he'd give me a pointer or two about how to look it up and then send me on my way. If I still had questions, we'd go into it in greater detail. The first step, though, was always to go look it up. This was the norm. If I wanted to know it, I had to go find it out.

But what happens when trying to find out at all is framed as a social ill? Fellow Moron Anonosaurus Wrecks turned me on to an article published in Forbes last week as part of an effort to make "go look it up" an act of subversion. It's about a new paper written by a man called Kevin Aslett and published in Nature - a journal that long ago entered the skin suit phase of its existence - that asserts that the phenomenon of "doing your own research" is bad for Our Democracy(tm) because you might encounter "misinformation" and believe "fake news."

The Morning Report — 12/27/23

Good morning, kids. For those who are unaware, the term "swatting" refers to someone falsely contacting the police to inform them of a hostage situation or other dangerous criminal activity at the home of a completely innocent person, in order to have an armed police or a SWAT team sent to that locale. "Ha-ha," "psyche," "ouch," "got me" is not necessarily the intended response the "prankster" is looking for from his target. In fact, over the years there's been at least one incident that actually turned lethal, maybe more.

I had not heard of this insane phenomenon until a little over 10 years ago when a notorious political terrorist, who shall and must remain nameless (and please do NOT write his name in the comments if you know it) decided to use this tactic against political pundits that he didn't care for. Specifically those in the blogosphere who were the most effective critics of leftists.

With that background, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene reported being swatted at her home. On Christmas Day. With her family present. And for those keeping score, this was the eighth time it's happened. This shit is political terrorism straight up against a United States Congressman. The only shrift shorter than what the propaganda press will give this is that which the so-called Dept. of Justice will give.

The political landscape today from even just a decade or so ago has changed radically. Pun intended, I suppose. It's one thing for MTG or one of us God-forbid to open the door and be greeted by body armored SWAT guys pointing AR-15s in our face. But what happens when the shoe is on the other foot? A very big Left foot?

Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu was swatted on Christmas Day, two weeks after hosting a controversial holiday party for the non-white city council members. The Boston Police Department were called to a reported shooting turned hostage situation at Wu’s home in the city’s Roslindale neighborhood around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, according to WBUR.T
he call was made through the city’s 311 information system claiming a man had shot his wife inside the home and tied her up, alongside a second man. But once police and EMS crews arrived, they realized it was the mayor’s home and they were given a fake emergency call. Wu, 38, says was shocked to open her door and see all the flashing lights but it did not disrupt her family’s evening.
“For better or worse my family are a bit used to it by now, and we have a good system with the department,” she told the radio station. It is not clear if Wu’s two young sons, whom she shares with her husband Conor Pewarski, were in the home at the time of the call.
Wu has been under fire after it was revealed she was the host of an “Electeds of Color Holiday Party,” earlier this month. A staffer inside city hall accidentally sent the party invitation to all city councilors instead of just the non-white members. The Boston City Council is comprised of six minority and seven white members. . . Wu defended the party hours before the elected officials were set to gather, saying it had become a yearly tradition for the “diverse” group to celebrate the holidays together and each person takes turns hosting. . .
. . . Wu claimed Monday’s swatting incident was not the first time she’s been targeted for such calls since she took office in November 2021. She went on to slam the frequency of such calls saying it took first responders away from actual incidents.

Michelle Wu is really the president of the VFW – Very Few Whites. I assume Boston is as insane as every other blue urban hellhole in that it has decriminalized crime, and vilified and cut law enforcement to the bone, so her anger over resources being diverted from actual incidents is to laugh.

Please understand that while in no way, shape or form do I condone swatting, I'd be lying to you if I said that I had no personal feelings of schadenfreude about this. The literal and even physical beatdown that real Americans have been taking as we collapse into the abyss of civil chaos is the reason why I'm not going to lose any sleep over this.

If the Boston Police actually arrest the perp (that is, set up a patsy to take the fall) you can bet your ass he is conveniently going to be a white male with a MAGA hat.

Meanwhile, five or so hours south on I-95, in the creme de la creme of blue shit-holes . . .

Two teenage girls were reportedly stabbed on Christmas Day while enjoying a meal at the Grand Central Terminal. The incident occurred before noon on Monday, at a restaurant called Tartinery in the Grand Central Dining Concourse. According to reports, the alleged assailant Steven Hutcherson, 36, of the Bronx, argued with restaurant staff over sitting in the restaurant’s space, at which point he allegedly remarked that the two teen girls, 14 and 16, were allowed to sit there before pulling out a knife and stabbing both of the young women, authorities say.
Police responded in seconds, and Hutcherson ultimately surrendered. According to WABC-TV, “He was charged with felony counts of attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.” However, the outlet noted that he is also being investigated for a potential hate crime, as law enforcement sources told the New York Post that the man yelled, “I want all the white people dead,” adding, “I want to sit next to the crackers.”

You'll be shocked – shocked! – to find out that this perpetual victim of whitey, America and capitalism who was understandably and justifiably reacting the only way he could to the lifetime of oppression he has been forced to suffer (channeling a likely DU communique) has a rap sheet longer than your arm and was involved in a potentially violent incident barely two weeks earlier.

Yussif Abdullahi, 46, was outraged after learning that Steven Hutcherson, 36, had been cut loose by a Bronx judge — just two weeks before he allegedly randomly knifed a 14-year-old girl and her 16-year-old sister as they enjoyed a Christmas Day meal with their family at a restaurant in the Grand Central concourse.
“They shouldn’t have let him out [of jail]. I don’t believe it,” he told The Post. Abdullahi said his Nov. 7 run-in with Hutcherson was the most dangerous encounter he’s had since he moved to the US from Ghana in 2008. He’d been working outside a freight truck depot in Hunts Point when he said he saw Hutcherson allegedly attacking a woman.
Hutcherson — a homeless man with a lengthy rap sheet and history of mental illness — then suddenly turned his ire on Abdullahi, yelling: “Why are you working for white people? I’m going to kill this man!”
“I’m gonna shoot you. I don’t care what kind of green card the government gave you,” Hutcherson said, according to the criminal complaint against him. “Open your mouth and say something. I will shoot you right now.” At first, Abdullahi said he thought “maybe he’s high and going crazy.”“I was thinking maybe he was just saying it and didn’t mean it,” he recalled.
But when Abdullahi tried to walk into the workshop where he worked, he said the unhinged man blocked his path and showed him what appeared to be a gun tucked into his wasteband [sic]. “He pulled a gun on me and said, ‘I don’t care what kind of green card you have, I’m gonna shoot you right now!” Abdullahi recalled.
Hutcherson stormed away, sucker-punching another man just one block away less than 30 minutes later, according to the complaint. He was arrested at a nearby gas station and cops charged him with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, harassment and assault. Police did not recover a gun, but found a knife on him when they arrested him, according to law enforcement sources. Hutcherson pleaded guilty to third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to conditional discharge on Dec. 12 by Judge Matthew V. Grieco, according to court records. . .
. . . Abdullahi was shocked that Hutcherson was allowed to go free, and not surprised he would go on to be arrested in another violent incident.
“I’m so disappointed in the cops. When he was threatening me, he told me, ‘The cops don’t do s–t! They don’t do s–t!’ And what he said was true. The cops didn’t do anything,” Abdullahi said. “The things he was saying, telling me, ‘Why are you working for white people?’ … Maybe he was sick. He needs to be institutionalized.” It wasn’t clear if or how Hutcherson’s Monday arrest would affect his sentence in the Bronx case. His Legal Aid attorney in the case did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Hutcherson was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday evening on felony charges of attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He has 17 prior arrests on his rap sheet, law enforcement sources said. He also has been classified as an “emotionally disturbed person” in prior brushes with police, according to the sources.

First of all, Judge Matthew V. Grieco – Brown undergrad and Columbia Law; the Poison Ivy League – lets this psycho off knowing full well what his record is. By the way, he's an appointee of Mayor Eric Adams. But that aside, let's look at the deviant in question. Is his ranting against white people evidence of psychosis or is this guy, from a certain perspective, normal? I say normal, in the sense that having been subjected to perhaps decades of incessant drumbeating that I sarcastically goofed on before the pull quote, that he is a victim of an unjust society out to destroy him, and that his behavior in light of that is justified.

How crazy is this guy when one of the central pillars of the Democrat Party itself has been the toxic notion of structural racism and institutional white supremacy which justified the Dresendization of scores of urban areas in the wake of the regrettable (in a sense) yet justified death of George Floyd while resisting arrest? One of the two major political parties, which controls the White House for another year and permanently controls the real power behind the government, the bureaucracy, stood behind what was in fact mass unrest and a de facto, wait for it, "insurrection."

In that light, stabbing two white tourists in Grand Central Station was perfectly rational. Given the mindset of those who are cheering on Hamas both on campuses across the nation and staging mass protests, to be surprised by what happened is to be delusional.

I can. I don't want to, but I can. But you can't.

It's been banned from sale in the US (though not Australia) over claimed patent infringement involving the light-based pulse oximetry sensor. Apple could just take the pulse oximeter out - I'm not sure how many people care about that - but until they do, or until they make headway in their appeal, they can't sell the device in the US.

Israel Blows Up an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Terror Leader

Israel is believed responsible for an airstrike that took out an Austere Religious Scholar, as the Washington Post would say. Also known as a Revolutionary Guards terror commander.

Iran is warning Israel that it will "pay the price."

An Israeli airstrike in Syria took out a top Iranian commander Monday, prompting Iran to ominously warn Israel that it will "pay the price," according to Tehran's state media.
Seyed Razi Mousavi, an adviser in Iran's Revolutionary Guards who helped coordinate Tehran's ties with Syria, was killed by an Israeli missile in Sayyida Zeinab, a Damascus suburb not far from a Shiite shrine, IRNA, Iranian state media said.
Iran vowed to retaliate.
"This act is a sign of the Zionist regime's frustration and weakness in the region for which it will certainly pay the price," Iranian leader Ebrahim Raisi said, according to a Reuters translation.
Tehran described Mousavi as one of the most experienced Iranian officials in Syria.

20th Anniversary Repost: "You're Fired": Donald Trump Grills the Dems on Why They Lost Their "Task"

The blog will be 20 years old on Thursday. Until the end of the week I'll be posting some best-of stuff, stuff you've probably read before and maybe even a couple of times.

But what am I gonna do.

This post was written in the first year of the blog. I started the blog December 28, 2003, and wrote this the day after the 2004 elections.

I've finally made some corrections to this that have bothered me for years: I corrected the name of Trump's wife and the name of his Florida estate. I didn't know those at the time I wrote this, and just guessed. Everyone knows them now, so I left in my original misspellings, people might think I was trying to make a joke. I wasn't. It's just that I only heard of "Mar-a-Lago" and "Melania" from The Apprentice and never saw either in print before at that time.

I used to watch The Apprentice a lot.

This one was super-fun to write. I was up till like 4am. Jokes just kept popping into my head. I was actually laughing.

And I can't believe I've known many of you for 20 years now.

SCENE: A corporate boardroom. Four nervous-looking candidates take their seats at a big table.

DONALD TRUMP enters, flanked by his two corporate lieutenants. He sits across from the candidates.

TRUMP: All right. I gave you all a task to perform. It was a difficult task, but you lost. You had to organize a political campaign, bring your message to the public, energize your base, win over independent voters, and then prevail in the most hotly-contested presidential campaign in fifty years. You lost. What went wrong?

JOHN KERRY: Well, as a Vietnam veteran, who served in Vietnam fighting with the Vietnamese against the North Vietnamese--

TRUMP: Hold on, before we get started, I should introduce my assistants. Carolyn you all know.

(Carolyn nods icily.)

TRUMP: Now George is away on business again, so this week he was replaced by... who did we get this week, Carolyn?

CAROLYN: Blackie Lawless, lead singer of W.A.S.P.

BLACKIE LAWLESS: 'ello, 'ello!!!

TRUMP: I gotta be honest, I have no idea who the hell you are.

BLACKIE: I was on the original Disciples of Darkness tour with Ronnie James Dio and Glen Danzig.

TRUMP: That really helps me not at all. Anyway, John. You lost. You were the project manager. Do you deserve to be fired?

KERRY: Absolutely not. As a Vietnam veteran, I know what it takes to make tough decisions. And also how to not make tough decisions, and how to avoid decisions while sounding tough. That is the lesson of Vietnam. As a young man I defended this country--

TRUMP: John.

KERRY: Hm?

TRUMP: I'm going to stop you there, John, before you go any further. The whole Vietnam thing. It's all you ever talk about. It was thirty years ago, John.

KERRY: It's seared-- seared -- into my memory.

TRUMP: John, at this point your Vietnam experience is seared into my memory. I have to tell you. It's just one bullet-point on your resume. A lot of men have been in Vietnam. I was in Vietnam. Tell him about my tour in Vietnam, Carolyn.

CAROLYN: Uhhh, I don't think you ever fought in Vietnam, Mr. Trump.

TRUMP: Well I've seen movies. Tell him about the Vietnam movies I watch.

CAROLYN: Um, which one?

TRUMP: You know. The one I like. Where they're living in a house right on the Pacific Ocean, and they've got a speedboat and a bunch of cool cars, and they have this little nerdy friend who has a little robot pal he calls "Roboz."

CAROLYN: That's not a Vietnam movie. I think you mean the mid-eighties action series "Riptide."

TRUMP: That's the one. It was a living hell. Thank God Nixon got us out of there when he did.

U. of Minnesota "Professor" Praises the Terrorism of 10/7, Calls for Violent "Decolonization" of America

Internet nobodies on the right can't question the 2020 election, but elite figures on the left can call for violent revolution and probably get endorsement deals with Nike and Apple.

A liberal arts professor at the University of Minnesota called for people to "dismantle" and "decolonize" America during a pro-Palestinian event.
Earlier this month, University of Minnesota liberal arts professor Melanie Yazzie took the stage with several other speakers as part of the anti-capitalist Native American advocacy group the Red Nation's "teach-in" on the Israel-Hamas war.
During the pro-Palestinian event, Yazzie made several controversial comments, including early on when she said she wanted a takeaway from the event to be that "we're all indigenous people who come from nations who are under occupation by the United States government."
"And, of course, the U.S. bankrolls the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land," Yazzie continued. "They're one and the same, really."
"So it's our responsibility as people who are within the United States to go as hard as possible to decolonize this place because that will reverberate all across the world," Yazzie said. "Because the U.S. is the greatest predator empire that has ever existed."

Yazzie said that she and her comrades "want [the] U.S. out of everywhere," including "Palestine" and "Turtle Island" -- a name used by some Native American tribes to describe North America.
"And that the goal is to dismantle the settler project that is the United States for the freedom and the future of all life on this planet," Yazzie said. "It very much depends on that."
Yazzie also appeared to imply she saw the "entire world" change after the Oct. 7 attacks by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas on innocent Israeli civilians and claimed that "Palestine is the alternative path for native nations."
"It is a righteous struggle and it is so powerful that it has literally, in 60 days, changed the entire world," Yazzie said. "The entire world has changed. I knew it the moment that it happened that nothing, and I mean nothing for colonizers or for any of the good, humble people of the Earth, would ever be the same ever again."
"And we need to lean into that. Lean into the fact that colonizers are scared," she said, laughing. "Lean into scaring them and making them feel uncomfortable!"

How about we start scaring you?

Oh no, now the FBI is surveilling me harder. Only their friends on the left are permitted to speak of violence and terror. We're all required to just repeat NPR's talking points verbatim.

"And to help to lead that, to be the tip of the spear here of all liberation struggles and the movements that seek a world of justice, equality, and peace, that seek to dismantle the United States," she continued.
"I hope you seek to dismantle the United States," Yazzie added to applause from the audience.
Yazzie also claimed that "decolonization" is "the only thing that's going to save us as a species" and "the planet," and said that people should "just be on board with it, no questions asked."

Surprise! The Biden Junta Wanted to Cover Up the Chinese Spy Balloon Incident, Hide It From the US Public

And of course -- inadvertently! -- aid and abet the hostile foreign communist nation that had been pouring money into his family's greedy pockets for a generation.

The balloon hovered over sensitive military sites. Biden wanted to shoot down the balloon, though he was persuaded not to do so by the brass due to falling debris. Yet, we know that wasn't the first option. The Biden administration wanted to hide its existence and subsequent penetration of US airspace (via NBC News):

Administration officials at first hoped to conceal the balloon's existence from the public, and from Congress, according to multiple former and current administration and congressional officials.
"Before it was spotted publicly, there was the intention to study it and let it pass over and not ever tell anyone about it," said a former senior U.S. official briefed on the balloon incident.
A senior Biden administration denied that there was an effort to keep the balloon secret. "To the extent any of this was kept quiet at all, that was in large part to protect intel equities related to finding and tracking them," the official said, referring to intelligence gathering. "There was no intention to keep this from Congress at any point."

Pro-Hamas Protesters Deliberately Disrupt Christmas, Proclaiming "NO XMAS AS USUAL" Until We All Collectively Support Hamas Terrorism

Groups sympathetic to terror organization Hamas planned and executed a massive rally in New York City on Saturday after vowing to disrupt the Christmas holiday as a means of encouraging people to join the largely anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. The groups, including radical liberal groups People's Forum and Palestinian Youth Movement, organized the protests, which drew huge crowds to Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which disrupted traffic and doubtless left numerous already-panicked last minute shoppers disgruntled at the disruption.
Still, this was the groups' explicit goal, as they intended to ensure that there would be no Christmas "as usual" as long as people continue to support Israel.

This marked the second time in less than a week that New York City was disrupted by Hamas protests. Earlier this week crowds of Hamas sympathizers clogged mass transit hubs, causing major disruptions throughout the city.

There were disruptions across the US and across Europe as well.

From the NY Post:

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters converged on Midtown Monday, lugging a blood-red mock Nativity scene and chanting "Christmas is canceled here."
"Long live the intifada," the crowd of about 500 demonstrators yelled, using the Arabic word for "rebellion" or "uprising," as they mobbed the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree where revelers were enjoying the holiday.

At least six arrests -- four for disorderly conduct, one for menacing and one for graffiti -- were later reported near Grand Central Station and Union Square, as protesters and cops clashed, according to law enforcement sources.
