Polls: Trump Winning Latinos 49-38%, Has Historic 29% Share of Black Vote

One big caveat: When a poll of, let's say, 1000 people claims a margin-of-error rate of 3%, that's for the whole 1000 people.

When you start digging into sub-groups, the margin of error get much bigger because the fewer people you poll, the worse the margin of error. If you ask 1000 people about voting intentions, you might wind up with 130 black voters. The margin of error for that is big.

Indeed, the margin of error shown below for Latinos is 9%. And that mean that Kamala's share of Latino voters could be as high as 47%, and Trump's as low as 40%.

But that's still nearly even! And the poll on black voters is from Fox, who uses a notoriously Democrat-skewing pollster!

The poll on Latinexexes comes via Suffolk.

latinosfortrump.jpg

blackvotersfortrump.jpeg

Someone on Twitter made the point that it's even worse for Kamala because very liberal, Democrat-voting Hispanics tend to be in blue states like California, while Hispanics in swing-states are more pro-Trump.

And the 29% figure for black voters? Huge, obviously. That will help offset all the AWFLs in the suburbs voting with their vaginas.

A Democrat panelist on Crooked CNN is wondering, Hey, maybe we should lay off calling Hispanics "Latinx" as if they're majority-transgender. They don't seem to like that.

And apparently Kamala Harris agrees. She "copy-pasted her plan for black men and changed "black" to "Latino."" But she is suddenly saying "Latino" instead of "Latinx."

Madison Cornbread Accused of Perjury-- Again

The newest charge of perjury concerns a note that was written about what Trump should say to the protesters on January 6th. Trump's lawyer says he wrote the note, which urged calm. Madison Cornbread claims that she wrote the note.

Let's compare the handwriting on the note to Madison Cornbread's actual handwriting. Can you tell which one was written by an older man, and which was written by womanchild?

Here's the note that Madison Cornbread claimed under oath that she wrote herself:

madisoncornbreadhandwriting1.jpg

That looks like a mannish kind of scrawl, but perhaps Princess Pumpkinspice writes with a mannish hand herself. Let's check an example of her handwriting:

madisoncornbreadhandwriting2.jpg

I'm no handwriting expert, but it's my non-expert opinion that those two notes were written by the exact same hand. I mean, obviously!

By the way, you're probably wondering: Is this a joke? Did someone make up a fake Madison Cornbread note and write in fat, rounded little-girl letters and close it with a peace sign, a heart, and a smiley face?

But no: It's real.

And the January 6th committee claimed a "handwriting expert" -- unnamed, uncited -- certified both were written by the same person.

A handwriting expert consulted by Congress says, get this, the first note was written by Trump's lawyer -- just as he testified -- and that Madison Cornbread perjured herself again.

Handwriting analysis expert catches Cassidy Hutchinson in apparent false testimony

This is not the first instance of Hutchinson's key testimony being contradicted by other witnesses or new facts.

A handwriting analysis of a tweet is the latest piece of evidence contradicting the testimony of star Jan. 6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson who has come under fire from House Republicans for her role in the investigation led by the Democrat-controlled Jan. 6 Select Committee.

In her public testimony before the special committee in June 2022, Hutchinson told Congress, under oath, that she wrote the note for a proposed tweet as her boss, President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and Eric Herschmann, a personal attorney to Trump, dictated it to her.

Immediately after her public testimony, Herschmann disputed Hutchinson's claim, according to the House Republicans.

Now, the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight said it ordered a handwriting analysis from an expert who determined was consistent with Herschmann's writing, not Hutchinson's.

"This new evidence provided by an independent, Certified Questioned Document Examiner, not only contradicts Ms. Hutchinson's numerous claims that she penned the note, but also exposes the Select Committee's willingness to accept all her testimonies without corroboration or further investigation," Chairman Barry Loudermilk said in a press release.

During its investigation, the Jan. 6 Select Committee, Loudermilk's committee says, did not contact Herschmann to confirm who wrote the note despite his public insistence Hutchinson was not the author.

In a footnote to its final report, the select committee claimed to have conducted a handwriting analysis of its own, finding it consistent with Hutchinson's writing, despite citing no authority on the matter.

See the article for Madison Cornbread's previous perjuries.

It amazes me how much the liars lie about Trump being a lying liar when they're the lying liars from Liarsburg who sits on thrones of lies made from coconuts

Former Abercrombie and Fitch CEO and Two Associates Arrested for Sex Trafficking

I would have indicted him based on just the fact that he looks like Outrageously-Gay Gary Busey.

michael-s-jeffries-chairman-ceo-92144551.jpg

His plastic surgery is on-point. I can't even tell he's had work done.

But, may I ask: Have you considered an eye-lift, sir? That could give you that "wide awake on coke at 4am" look that's so hot right now.

Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO and accused serial sexual predator Mike Jeffries was arrested Tuesday as part of a sex-trafficking investigation.

The 80-year-old disgraced fashion-giant boss -- whose twisted antics allegedly led to more than 100 men being abused -- was nabbed in West Palm Beach, Fla.

His "romantic partner," Matthew Smith, 61, as well as a business associate, James Jacobson, 71 -- previously described by accusers as a middleman who is missing his nose and covers the spot with a snakeskin patch, according to the BBC -- were also arrested in the case, authorities and sources told The Post.

What?

The arrests come roughly a year after the FBI started probing claims Jeffries allegedly orchestrated elaborate sex events to exploit and sexually abuse young male models during his 22-year tenure at the brand.

The claims first surfaced as part of an explosive BBC News report last year in which 12 men alleged they were lured to events at Jeffries' upscale New York residence or luxury hotels in the world's fashion capitals between 2009 to 2015.

...

In the wake of the BBC report, a class-action civil suit was filed in New York last year alleging that more than 100 men had been abused and that the fashion juggernaut turned a blind eye to Jeffries' alleged misconduct.

David Bradberry, the lead plaintiff in the case and one of the dozen men who spoke to the BBC, alleged he felt pressured into having sex with Jeffries at one of his parties in his Hamptons mansion.

Bradberry, then 23 and an aspiring model, told the outlet that he "didn't feel safe to say 'no' or 'I don't feel comfortable with this'" because of the home's "secluded" location and presence of Jeffries' staff -- who all dressed in a uniform of head-to-toe A&F.

I bet this doesn't even hurt the brand. They know who their customers are.

Jeffries was largely credited for the brand's boost in popularity among teens in the early nineties with its slew of advertising campaigns featuring bare-chested young male and female models.

The brand became a darling of turn-of-the-millennium teen mall culture with its stores pumped full of cologne.

Kamala Was Drunk At Her Fake "Town Hall," As Usual

Kamala Harris was clearly drunk at a public event, yet again.

Listen to the drunken pronunciation of words. Listen to the well-lubricated "ck" sounds in the back of her well-traveled throat, the classic drunken insistence ("you have to believe me, I love you man") on silly nonsense, the slow deliberate speech as she attempts to cover for her slurring.

Why would she show up to so many public events clearly drunk? I have a theory that she has either social anxiety or panic disorder. She drinks to ameliorate her stage fright. She might be taking pills in addition to the booze, like xanax for anxiety and klonopin for panic. I don't know about xanax, but I do know, from having taken it for years, that klonopin is a depressant and doubles or trebles the effects of alcohol. So her speech impairment could be due to "just" two or three drinks plus a pill that increases the impact of booze.

One time, when I was on klonopin, I drank enough to get drunk. I was so addled by the combination of the drugs that when I stumbled into a taxi to go home, I could not remember my home address. My GF at the time had to guess the general vicinity until eventually she coaxed it out of me with hints like "It has a 3 in it it, doesn't it?"

Even if this is the case: She's unfit for office. Even if she's "merely" drinking to self-medicate her stage fright, anxiety, or panic, she's still an alcoholic. If you "need" booze just to get through the day, you have an alcohol problem.

The president has to speak in public a lot. Almost every single day (until Joe Biden said, "Hold muh beer" and decided to go on vacation 40% of his "presidency").

If Kamala's excuse for frequent public intoxication is that she has uncontrolled anxiety or panic, she still can't be president. We cannot afford a president who is lazy, dumb, and dependent on getting half-sloshed every single day just to get through the day.

Liz Cheney: Anti-Abortion Laws in the States Have Gone Too Far, We Have To Give Women the "Care They Need"

Well.

Not unexpected. It's good to have one's intuitions confirmed.

Josh Kraushaar
@JoshKraushaar

Questions from town hall with Harris/Cheney in Malvern, PA this afternoon sounds like they're coming from typical partisan Democrats, not from cross-pressured Nikki Haley acolytes.

Josh Kraushaar
@JoshKraushaar

Another example of this: Cheney, who has always been a pro-lifer throughout her political career, said the Dobbs decision went too far during the PA event.

Via Twitchy, the Guardian writes that Cheney is telling people to support Kamala Harris to protect women against anti-abortion laws.

Liz Cheney, a former Republican congresswoman and longtime opponent of abortion rights, on Monday condemned Republican-imposed bans on the procedure and urged conservatives to support Democrat Kamala Harris for US president.

Cheney was speaking during three joint events with the vice-president in three swing states aimed at prising suburban Republican voters away from party nominee Donald Trump. She has become the Democrat's most prominent conservative surrogate and is rumoured to be in contention for a seat in a potential Harris cabinet.

Via SamJ. of Twitchy, Charles Cooke tweeted about what an incredible volte face this is for Cheney, who previously demanded an absolute ban on abortion at the federal level from "the moment of fertilization."

Andrew Egger of cuckblog The Bulwark attempts to femsplain Cheney's incredible flip-flop from 100% absolutist pro-life to claiming we need to roll back state limitations so that women can get "the care they need."

Andrew Egger
@EggerDC

But Cheney didn't say Dobbs went too far. She disapproved of some of the state-level bans which followed. ("Dobbs went too far" is sort of a nonsensical statement--all it did was change the regulatory environment.)

So the claim of the NeverTrump liberals (they're neither conservative nor Republican and it's beyond time they stopped pretending otherwise) is that Cheney doesn't oppose Dobbs itself, but merely abortion limits (limits, not bans) that Dobbs allowed the states to pass.

If she's against the states limiting abortion, then she's actually against Dobbs. If she is demanding that states simply encode the Roe v. Wade regime through their own laws, then what the hell is her objection to Roe v. Wade in the first place? She just wants states to protect abortion instead of the federal government?

I mean, there is an argument about proper constitutional procedure there, but that argument is not about the substance of abortion itself. I guess the NeverTrumpers just want pro-abortion laws but passed by the states.

But Cooke isn't having this lame femsplanation from the very effeminate Egger and very liberal California Democrat Patterico:

Charles C. W. Cooke
@charlescwcooke

But this position doesn't make any sense, either, given that, just a couple of years ago, Cheney co-sponsored a bill that banned abortion nationally from "the moment of fertilization," and did so on the grounds that the Constitution mandated such a rule.

And now she's complaining at Kamala Harris rallies about the less-strict-than-that rules that some states passed after the issue was returned to the states--which she said she wanted but also apparently didn't because she tried to pass a national ban? Come on.

I simply do not understand why she didn't just say "I'm pro-life in the most comprehensive way possible--I think the 14th Amendment mandates a from-conception ban--but I think we need to elect Kamala Harris because Trump is unfit for office." The temptation was too great.

Joe Gabriel Simonson
@SaysSimonson

Cheney saying she thinks Dobbs went too far is like the opposite side of the Trump coin. Trump never really cared about abortion but is pretty honest about it. Cheney, who once told voters fetuses have a constitutional right to life, never cared all along either.

  • The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post are suing AI startup Perplexity over copyright infringement. (Variety)

To be fair, that seems to be Perplexity's entire business model: Index copyrighted content, summarise it, file off the serial numbers, and then provide it to users to answer their questions.
News Corp CEO Robert Thomson, in a statement about the lawsuit, said: "Perplexity perpetrates an abuse of intellectual property that harms journalists, writers, publishers and News Corp. The perplexing Perplexity has willfully copied copious amounts of copyrighted material without compensation, and shamelessly presents repurposed material as a direct substitute for the original source. Perplexity proudly states that users can 'skip the links' - apparently, Perplexity wants to skip the check."
From my understanding of Perplexity, this is actually pretty accurate.

    This bit less so:
We applaud principled companies like OpenAI, which understands that integrity and creativity are essential if we are to realize the potential of artificial intelligence
OpenAI is as unprincipled as any company in the industry, but with billions of dollars of investors' money to burn, they can pay off at least some of their victims.

CBS Refuses to Release Full Kamala Harris Transcript; Attacks Trump for Noticing They're Concealing It

They've conducted a Rigorous Internal Review and determined -- get this -- that they did nothing wrong.

Wow! I didn't see that coming!

Note that earlier today we say New York magazine stage a similar Rigorous Internal Review which concluded that a "reporter" with a p*ssy-for-play agreement with a subject did not act unethically.

Here's their claim, via Hot Air -- attacking Trump for not going on their biased network.

Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false.

60 Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to Face the Nation that used a longer section of her answer than that on 60 Minutes. Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response. When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point. The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide ranging 21-minute-long segment.

Remember, Mr. Trump pulled out of his interview with 60 Minutes and the vice president participated.

Note that Trump refused to do the Fake Partisan Interview because he appeared on 60 Minutes in 2020 and Leslie Stahl claimed that the Hunter Biden laptop was fake, and refused to do any digging into it, claiming that was "your job." Trump wanted an apology for that actual disinformation, and CBS refused.

I'm sure they'll soon subject themselves to a Witheringly Rigorous Internal Review and find, shockingly, they handled that perfectly, too.

Why are they refusing to release a transcript? They are supposedly a "news" network which just wants to inform the public, right?

Mollie
@MZHemingway

60 Minutes continues to conceal the unedited transcript of its interview with Kamala Harris. Here, they also lie about the controversy surrounding that transcript. The extent of their deceptive edits must be SIGNIFICANT for them to refuse to release the actual transcript.

NYT: Trump Claims, Without Evidence, That Kamala Never Worked At McDonald's. Kamala Says She Did.*
* Also Without Evidence, But the Claims of Leftwing Politicians Are Self-Verifying Because No Communist Ever Lies.

Via Twitchy, "the greatest fact check of all time."

nytisntlovinit.jpg

Note that McDonald's itself admits it has no records of Kamala ever working at any of its stores. Kamala Harris's previous resumes never mention McDonald's. She never wrote of her working there in her political fake memoir.

She first made this claim when she was running for president in 2019. There was never any evidence to support it, and a fair amount of reasons to be skeptical.

The New York Times doesn't see it that way. Trump disputes her claims, "Without Evidence," though he has evidence, of course: His evidence is that Kamala's claim is made Without Evidence.

But communists never lie, right?

Vice President Kamala Harris has recalled her stint at a Bay Area McDonald's 41 years ago in introducing herself to voters -- a biographical detail relatable to millions of Americans who have toiled in fast-food restaurants.

But former President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly accused her of inventing it. Lacking a shred of proof, he has charged that she never actually worked under the golden arches -- recalling his earlier false claim that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

Newsweek, fresh off of trying to bankrupt a family-owned business for the crime of bucking the leftwing thought police, now informs us that Trump was not, in fact, a Secret Steeler at all!

Where would we be without corporate media telling us that Donald Trump is *not* an actual McDonald's employee and is *not* currently rostered with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

John Ekdahl
@JohnEkdahl

My theory on the great liberal McDonalds freakout is this: Donald Trump is not allowed to have fun. Remember, he is the physical avatar of humanity's cruelty, evil, and malice. The left has also spent a large amount of time, money, and energy though both media and legal campaigns, targeting his livelihood and even his personal freedom all to ensure that the man can never crack a smile again for the rest of his life. And then he did. While donning an apron and serving fries. They can't handle it.

Olivia Nuzzi Fired from New York Magazine Over Relationship With RFKJr.

Little Miss Sizzlepants Olivia Nuzzi has been canned from New York Magazine for her undisclosed relationship with RFKJr.

Don't worry, though: New York Magazine did a full internal review and determined that there was zero bias from the woman literally sexting with her subject.

None. Not a speck of bias.

Olivia Nuzzi has parted ways with New York magazine, the publication said Monday, after the star Washington correspondent was placed on leave last month over a previously undisclosed "personal relationship" with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Nuzzi's departure comes after the magazine enlisted the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to review her work and concluded that her relationship with Kennedy, the former independent presidential candidate who was the subject of a lengthy New York cover story, did not result in inaccuracies or bias.

"They reached the same conclusion as the magazine's initial internal review of her published work, finding no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias," New York said in a statement on its website. "Nevertheless, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course forward is to part ways."

Leftwing media reporters are sitting on the fucking faces of their liberal interview subjects and yet still they scream "no bias here!"

...

In a statement, Ari Wilkenfeld, an attorney for Nuzzi, said the journalist was "gratified though not surprised that two different investigations have determined that her reporting on the 2024 campaign was sound and that she did nothing wrong."

Obey your Regime Propaganda Ministers, who are wise and noble and know what's best for you:

Earlier this month, Nuzzi accused her ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza, Politico's chief Washington correspondent and Playbook newsletter author, in court filings of orchestrating a harassment and blackmail campaign against her after the duo broke off their engagement over Nuzzi's relationship with Kennedy.

Lizza denied the allegations and accused his ex-fianceé of "catastrophically reckless behavior" that resulted in their breakup. In a court filing, Lizza said Nuzzi told him that Kennedy had manipulated her and that he wanted to "possess," "control" and "impregnate" her.

Lizza, who was placed on leave by Politico while it conducts its own investigation into the allegations, said in court it was the "second presidential cycle in a row where Ms. Nuzzi's personal indiscretions have sabotaged" a book project the couple had planned to write about the 2020 election.

Who could be responsible for this fantastical cover-up piece claiming that a woman showing Full Snizz to her interview subject showed no bias whatsoever?

CNN's Brian Stelter and Katelyn Polantz contributed reporting.

Oh, there you go.

NYT: Trump Is Appealing to Young Male Voters and Their Defection Could Doom the Democrats

But I don't understand. A fat old white homosexual man who speaks like a character in Fargo held a shotgun for two minutes proving that the Democrats are the party of men.

Recent data from the Harvard Youth Poll, a national survey I oversee for the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, reveals an increasing political rift between young men and women under 30, two groups critical to Democrats' success in recent elections. Almost exactly equal shares of young men and young women say they will definitely vote in this election or have already done so. But since the spring of 2020, the share of young men identifying as registered Democrats has dropped by seven percentage points, while those identifying as Republicans have increased by seven points -- a net shift of 14 points in just four years. Young women, during the same period, shifted two points away from the Republicans.

...

Mr. Trump has tapped these anxieties by weaving a hypermasculine message of strength and defiance into his broader narrative that undermines confidence in democratic institutions. And it's working. Aware that boasting about "killing" Roe v. Wade drove away young women, Mr. Trump zeroed in on capturing a larger share of the young male vote. In four years, he cut what was once a 19-percentage point Democratic margin among registered young male voters (50 percent Mr. Biden, 31 percent Mr. Trump) roughly in half (48 percent Ms. Harris, 38 percent Mr. Trump) in our poll.

His playbook? A master class in bro-whispering: championing crypto, securing the endorsement of Dave Portnoy -- the unapologetically offensive founder of Barstool Sports -- and giving U.F.C. President Dana White, who embodies the alpha-male archetype that appeals to many young men, a prime spot at the Republican National Convention. Mr. Trump has also cultivated relationships with simpatico comedians, pranksters, influencers and Silicon Valley billionaires like Elon Musk -- all while his team bombards podcasts and social media with misinformation and memes to rally his troops.

This shift in support for Mr. Trump among men is neither organic nor unexpected. It's what happens when a well-coordinated political operation invests tens of millions of dollars to amplify Mr. Trump's narrative and weaken confidence in the party in power. Compared with when Mr. Trump ran in 2020, young male voters are now less likely to support government-backed climate change solutions (down 15 points, according to our poll) and affirmative action for qualified candidates (down eight points). They are more likely to question immigration policy (up 12 points), free trade (up 10 points) and whether government stimulus leads to economic growth (up seven points). They are also more likely to believe that religious values should play a more important role in government (up six points).

This Toxic Liberal Sissy has a plan for attracting young men again.

His proposal may surprise you -- a big government program to collectivize men and propagandize them to vote the Regime's way.

Here's one way. To reignite the hope of the emerging generation, Ms. Harris should make a sweeping national call to both military and civilian service -- name it the Generation Z Compact to Rebuild and Renew America. Such a plan would offer a sense of identity, community and patriotism, while providing economic stability and skill-building -- things many young men feel they are missing.

Young Americans have consistently voiced support for national service programs, yet political action has yet to catch up.

Young voters say a lot of things they don't believe because, as Kamala Harris announced, "they're stupid."

A 2021 survey revealed that 71 percent of adults under 25 were open to participating in a service program. Even more striking, a poll conducted last year found that about 75 percent of young people backed mandatory national service. These numbers tell a clear story: Our youth's appetite for civic engagement is strong and growing.

Really? Then why aren't they serving? The military has a recruiting shortage; if young people are so keen to serve, why don't they now?

It's because people say a lot of bullshit they don't really believe. I guess this never occurred to this New York Times "expert."

The US Leaked Israel's Plans for Its Upcoming Retaliatory Strike Against Iran to the World (Including Iran) to Stop Them

Can't wait for Trump to investigate this and prosecute these spies.

Assuming the leak wasn't ordered by Biden himself. Which it probably was. (Or ordered by the coterie of Obama staffers who really run the country.)

The Biden-Harris administration is investigating a "deadly serious breach" of classified U.S. intelligence detailing Israeli plans for a strike on Iran, the latest in a series of targeted leaks against Israel that has put America's closest Middle East ally on edge, according to current and former U.S. officials.

The explosive weekend release included top-secret Pentagon documents purporting to show Israel's preparations for a large-scale counterstrike on Iran. The two documents--compiled by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency over the past several weeks--expose how Israel is preparing for the attack, including the types of aircraft and munitions that are expected to be used. They were published by the Middle East Spectator, a little-known outlet that is known to disseminate propaganda from Tehran.

While the documents, according to CNN, include markings that indicate they were meant to be shared with the "Five Eyes" intelligence network--made up of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada--a former U.S. intelligence community official who reviewed them said there is no question they emanated from the U.S. side. The documents, the former official said, appear to have been posted on a U.S. classified system that can be accessed by "thousands upon thousands" of American officials from across the government."

"They all can literally log onto a classified computer and pull up the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency's website and look at whatever is made available to them," the former official said. "Why would you allow any intelligence like this, whether it's compartmentalized or not, why would you ever allow that to be generally available?"

While the documents do not detail which sites Israel is likely to attack inside Iran, they are the latest in a string of leaks that have raised questions about the Biden-Harris administration's ability to safeguard information at the highest levels of government. For Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon adviser, that trend is likely to erode Israel's trust in the United States.

"The damage wrought by this leak has less to do with tipping Iran off about or tactical insight into an impending Israeli strike than with broader bilateral trust," Rubin said. "This is not the first time a U.S. administration has leaked top secret details meant to sidetrack Israeli efforts to undermine Iran's nuclear program."

In the end, Rubin said, "it's not Israel that will ultimately pay the price; it's the United States. The U.S. intelligence community can gain more from Israel than vice versa. By signaling Israel can't trust Washington, the United States will essentially be operating blind, learning about Israel actions from the media after the fact, just like the rest of the world. In a region where minutes can make the difference between life and death, this is a truly high price to bear."

One senior Biden-Harris administration official, who was not authorized to speak on record about the situation, described the leak as a "deadly serious breach."

"For at least the past year there has been a concerted campaign to leak what at least seems to be classified information by anti-Israel elements in large part to impact media narratives--but, if true, this obviously goes beyond that," the official said.

...

The Middle East Spectator said in a statement that the documents were originally posted inside a Telegram channel, where the leaker is likely an active participant. The outlet said it is "not aware" of any additional classified leaks. It also identified the leaker as potentially an employee with the State Department, which would have access to top-secret assessments.

The State Department did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Yes, why should the Masters answer the questions of the Slaves?

Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum Tells Congress He Met With White House Staffers and January 6th Committee Staffers About the Trump Prosecution, But Can't Remember What Was Said Or Even Who He Met With

He's a serial perjurer and Trump needs to prosecute him.

Wade confirmed that he had conducted multiple meetings with Biden-Harris White House officials but refused to disclose any pertinent details, claiming he couldn't recollect basic facts about the events for which he billed the Fulton County District Attorney's Office thousands of taxpayer dollars.

Wade acknowledged billing the county for an eight-hour conference "with White House Counsel" at a $250-an-hour rate equaling $2,000 total on May 23, 2022.

Although, according to the invoice's entry, Wade supposedly spent an entire business day conferencing with the Biden-Harris White House, Wade claimed he could not recall which individuals were involved in the meeting, where exactly it occurred (whether he traveled to Athens or D.C.), or if the meeting took place in person or over the phone.

Wade also confirmed that he billed the DA's office another eight hours on November 18, 2022, for an "Interview with DC/White House." Again, he maintained that he did not remember meeting specifics, including who was in attendance or its subject matter.

Additionally, Wade confirmed that he billed the county 24 hours (this time totaling $6,000 total) between September 7, 2022, and September 9, 2022, for "Witness Interviews; conf call DC; team meeting." Wade again denied remembering who was on the conference call or which witnesses were interviewed.

During the deposition, Wade said the phrases, "I can't recall," "I don't recall," or "I don't know," nearly 60 times.

Wade also confirmed that he met with "individuals associated with the January 6th Committee" several times in 2022 but refused to reveal relevant details about these meetings.

Wade denied communicating directly with members or staff of the J6 committee, saying he instead communicated with individuals connected to the committee. When grilled on particulars, Wade said he spoke with "lawyers" but didn't say whom these attorneys represented nor did he name the legal counsel.

Wade confirmed that he billed the DA's office 24 hours (another $6,000 receipt) between April 18, 2022, and April 21, 2022, for a "Team meeting; Conf w/Jan 6; Research legal issues to prep interv." Wade denied expanding on what "Conf with Jan 6" meant, as well as whether he met with anyone associated with the J6 committee on those dates, and if these conferences occurred physically or via phone.

Wade confirmed that he charged the county eight hours on November 16, 2022, for a "Jan 6 meeting and Atty conf." However, he could not recall whom he met, the contents of the conference, and whether it was an in-person meeting or a phone call. Wade testified that the information would be found in the case files he had left with the DA's office upon his resignation.

He also committed perjury about why he ducked a subpoena to testify and went missing for three days.

Wade insisted that he was unaware of the U.S. Marshals attempting to serve him the congressional committee's subpoena at his home and office on September 23, 24, and 25, saying he had turned his phone off to prepare for an upcoming mediation and arbitration.

Wade offered a variety of explanations as to why he did not immediately accept service of the summons.

He first claimed that he had hurt his ankle playing basketball and was on prescription pain medication at the time, so he "took a few days to take care" of his ankle as well as prep for litigation. Once he "was able to deal with the pain" without medication, he then turned on his cell phone and was about to go down to his exercise room. At that point, he saw the message from the U.S. Marshals at 4 a.m. and called to arrange service.

When people offer multiple reasons for why they did something, they're usually lying People telling the truth just offer one reason, or offer the very plausible answer, "I don't know why I did that." Liars really want you to believe their lies, so they have a series of unrelated Trial Balloon lies they feed you to see which one you find the most plausible.

There's more in the article. It details, for example, Sweetdick's admission that Fani Willis plotted to prosecute Trump from before she even took office, and Sweetdick's complete lack of qualifications to prosecute any crime, especially a complicated fake RICO prosecution. He had to have special mandatory training to even claim he was "qualified" for the job.

THE MORNING RANT: An Outstanding Essay on How to Destroy a Company with Mercenary, Cost-Cutting Executives

”For two generations, American companies have been run to maximize short-term financial returns instead of to produce great products. In the long run, this approach fails disastrously at both.”

That is the thesis embedded in a great piece I just stumbled upon, written by a gentleman named Gautam Mukunda.

It is also a subject I repeatedly revisit in my writing, but Mr. Mukunda’s piece may be the best I have read about the destruction being wrought on once-great corporations by executives obsessed with cost cutting to bring about short-term stock gains. There is one corollary he didn’t touch on, which is the damage being done to corporations by green and ESG distractions. I’ll briefly touch on that, but first here is a sample of Mr. Mukunda’s outstanding piece. I encourage you to link it and read the whole thing.

“From 737s To Sneakers, It’s The Same Sad Story” [Forbes – 9/21/2024]

The CEO of a legendary American company steps down after a series of reverses. His company used to dominate its industry, was the leader in innovation, and succeeded so massively that it became an icon of American success. Despite this track record, it had turned to an outsider with a financial background, but no experience in, or passion for, the industry when it hired him. The new CEO focused on cost-cutting and squeezing profits from older products instead of making the investments necessary to invent new ones. The result was a spike in short-term profits that thrilled Wall Street but was soon followed by a precipitous decline as customers turned to competitors who had new and innovative offerings. The outsider CEO, after receiving tens of millions of dollars for destroying tens of billions of dollars in value, retires, leaving a successor to pick up the pieces.

Boeing and Nike are given as examples.

Nike has just provided us with another case study. Because the product life cycle in fashion is much faster than it is in airplanes, it took only years, instead of generations, to cripple a great company. When John Donahoe became the CEO of Nike in 2020, he was the company’s second-ever outsider CEO. Donahoe had been the CEO of eBay and Bain but – critically – he had no history in shoes, or sporting goods, or even in fashion.

Mr. Mukunda goes on to discuss how CEO Donohoe was so oblivious to the products Nike sold, that several years into his tenure he referred to Nike’s proprietary “ZoomX foam” as “Zoom 10 foam.” But in the circles where Mr. Donahoe comes from, there is no difference between a widget and an airplane and a tennis shoe.

Donahoe slashed sales teams and R&D and shifted products from Nike’s retail partners to its own stores. Unsurprisingly, this boosted numbers in the short term.

Cutting costs, reducing headcount, and slashing research and development is how the current crop of mercenary executives conduct business.

He laid off hundreds of marketers who had an intimate knowledge of Nike’s customers, intending to replace them with data driven insights. Product creation shifted from sports to demographics (instead of a department focused on creating products for basketball, it would have one creating products for men, like Zara, Gap, H&M, or any other generic fashion brand.)

Not mentioned by Mr. Mukunda is the damage done to corporations by committing to unattainable green initiatives. As I wrote a few months ago, Hertz was destroyed by an outsider CEO who decided to impress his buddies in Davos by committing to remake Hertz as an EV rental company.

At the center of the Hertz debacle was its poorly thought-out commitment to electric vehicles. With Scherr at the helm, Hertz acquired 60,000 EVs, with a goal of putting over 300,000 into service. A CEO who understood his product and his customers would have understood what a calamitous mistake Hertz was making. Mr. Scherr, however, was not such a CEO. Customers didn’t want to rent the EVs, counter agents struggled to lease them, and make-ready crews struggled to keep them charged and road-ready.

Corporate America desperately needs to move away from the existing model of recruiting celebrity CEOs from the outside, whose “expertise” is in financial gimmickry, and return instead to developing the best and brightest talent internally, from individuals who have a passion for the company and its products.

*****

And speaking of Boeing, The Blaze has just published a piece of mine discussing how Boeing spent $43 billion in stock buybacks in the past decade, but now the aerospace giant is in a cash crisis and choking on debt, so it is about to do a desperation stock offering of up to $15 billion at a far lower price that what it paid for all its stock repurchases. I’d be honored if you’d give it a read.
