The US Leaked Israel's Plans for Its Upcoming Retaliatory Strike Against Iran to the World (Including Iran) to Stop Them

Can't wait for Trump to investigate this and prosecute these spies.

Assuming the leak wasn't ordered by Biden himself. Which it probably was. (Or ordered by the coterie of Obama staffers who really run the country.)

The Biden-Harris administration is investigating a "deadly serious breach" of classified U.S. intelligence detailing Israeli plans for a strike on Iran, the latest in a series of targeted leaks against Israel that has put America's closest Middle East ally on edge, according to current and former U.S. officials.
The explosive weekend release included top-secret Pentagon documents purporting to show Israel's preparations for a large-scale counterstrike on Iran. The two documents--compiled by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency over the past several weeks--expose how Israel is preparing for the attack, including the types of aircraft and munitions that are expected to be used. They were published by the Middle East Spectator, a little-known outlet that is known to disseminate propaganda from Tehran.
While the documents, according to CNN, include markings that indicate they were meant to be shared with the "Five Eyes" intelligence network--made up of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada--a former U.S. intelligence community official who reviewed them said there is no question they emanated from the U.S. side. The documents, the former official said, appear to have been posted on a U.S. classified system that can be accessed by "thousands upon thousands" of American officials from across the government."
"They all can literally log onto a classified computer and pull up the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency's website and look at whatever is made available to them," the former official said. "Why would you allow any intelligence like this, whether it's compartmentalized or not, why would you ever allow that to be generally available?"
While the documents do not detail which sites Israel is likely to attack inside Iran, they are the latest in a string of leaks that have raised questions about the Biden-Harris administration's ability to safeguard information at the highest levels of government. For Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon adviser, that trend is likely to erode Israel's trust in the United States.
"The damage wrought by this leak has less to do with tipping Iran off about or tactical insight into an impending Israeli strike than with broader bilateral trust," Rubin said. "This is not the first time a U.S. administration has leaked top secret details meant to sidetrack Israeli efforts to undermine Iran's nuclear program."
In the end, Rubin said, "it's not Israel that will ultimately pay the price; it's the United States. The U.S. intelligence community can gain more from Israel than vice versa. By signaling Israel can't trust Washington, the United States will essentially be operating blind, learning about Israel actions from the media after the fact, just like the rest of the world. In a region where minutes can make the difference between life and death, this is a truly high price to bear."
One senior Biden-Harris administration official, who was not authorized to speak on record about the situation, described the leak as a "deadly serious breach."
"For at least the past year there has been a concerted campaign to leak what at least seems to be classified information by anti-Israel elements in large part to impact media narratives--but, if true, this obviously goes beyond that," the official said.

The Middle East Spectator said in a statement that the documents were originally posted inside a Telegram channel, where the leaker is likely an active participant. The outlet said it is "not aware" of any additional classified leaks. It also identified the leaker as potentially an employee with the State Department, which would have access to top-secret assessments.
The State Department did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Seems like I've heard some positive goings-on in VA, election integrity-wise. I wouldn't be surprised if VA "turns" red. There may be other supposedly "blue" states that are revealed to really be "red" too.

Remember what happened in 2016 - the path to victory lied in picking up some unexpected states. Wouldn't it be wild if Trump took NY? That may sound impossible, but Zeldin "lost" to Hochul by only a few (potentially fake) percent in 2022. We use Dominion machines here. If Dominion is cyberattacked, we may find out just how "blue" NY is.

Not polling, which is nonsense, but registrations. Not people who will or won't say, "I will vote this way," but who have made concrete steps to vote this or that way.

In the past 2 years, the percent change of Republican registrations across all states that track partisan information in registrations is +1.63%.

In the past 2 years, the percent change of Democrat registrations across all states that track partisan information in registrations is -10.41%.

That doesn't mean a 12 point swing in terms of votes. It's more about percentage changes within a state's vote percentages from one election to the next. However, it broadly seems to signal...enthusiasm.

I just went back to 2008 and FL. D's saw 700k increase. R's saw 200k increase. The D increase in comparison to R in voting was in line with those numbers percentage wise.

I think my model is very rough, but is pointing to a better way to try and predict elections.

My assumption about registrations being predictive of elections pretty much outright says that most political news ends up just being white noise, affecting only the closest of races where a few thousand votes can change things.

Trump having a great week won't change that at levels that would undo or do anything to registration advantages that have been baking into the cake for 2 years.

There is a whole set of research literature based on party id, partisan swing, etc. from UK and other parliamentary countries that use first past the post elections.

Not as well researched in the US (at least the last time that I looked at such matters in the literature). Part of it is the complications induced by partisanship collapse of both parties (much greater proportionately for the Dems as the New Deal coalition fell apart). We have a much higher percentage of independents. There was a separate dispute in the literature involving independents. Some argued it was a myth due to very few 'true independents' that swing back and forth and fake independents that were treated as 'leaners' who almost always follow their lean in elections.

Then you have whether or not the party mobilized their voters. The GOP, for a long time, as a smaller party historically never favored activating the general electorate because it viewed those low propensity voters as potentially disloyal and likely to ticket split. Thus, the GOP went for base elections.

Longitudinal massive panel surveys like the LAT 2016 polling is better at determining such matters and I would be surprised if both Trump and Kamala are NOT doing such longitudinal panel surveys as private polling. Fraud has to be tied to registration. So, if a party is dumping tens of thousands of fake ballots, they should be tied to fake registrations at the same time.

GOTV commission was 5-10 percent range and much clearer metrics whether or not the consultant was actually doing their job. Consultants are also by and large of the ruling class and dislike dealing with plebes.

Not so. I base my opinions on a pretty good handle on empirical voting and mobilization research and personal experience from working in campaigns for about fourteen years or so until I went to grad school.

After that, I have only done such at the community level to oppose developers trying to turn my part of the county ugly.

I can give you a solid critique of your model if you wish but not within the confines of the gray boxes.

300 258 Wouldn't it be wild if Trump took NY? That may sound impossible, but Zeldin "lost" to Hochul by only a few (potentially fake) percent in 2022. We use Dominion machines here. If Dominion is cyberattacked, we may find out just how "blue" NY is.

Well, Trump DID say he "won every state" last time.

I keep thinking back to how even MY county in Upstate NY was colored "red" (as in "pretty bad") in Seth Keshel's statistical analysis of election integrity. Almost our entire county legislature is R. We undoubtedly went for Trump in 2020, but who knows if the margin was understated, to help make nationwide popular vote totals look better.

301 Look at the agencies involved the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. The first is looking at certain IDF jets on certain runways (not necessarily even in Israel) and second is analyzing what kind of payload that jet can carry to such and such target. This isn’t information that Israel “shared”. This is aerial reconnaissance just like in WWII but with _much_ better optics (think better than Rayleigh limit since not using classical optics plus guide star tech to remove atmospheric scintillation).

304 Unfortunately, the American government has developed a habit of treating enemies like friends and their actual allies like disposable subordinates.

Maybe it's because the USA was the only game in town for a long time, but adversaries are spending a lot of time and money to try and change that and the USA is going to need friends.

It's difficult to recover from that reputation.
I think if I was Israel, or Taiwan or Korea or Japan or the UK etc, I would be looking to, firstly invest more in their armed forces and homegrown capabilities and secondly invest in mutual bilateral defensive ties with the explicit exclusion of America.

That might benefit the USA too, more than anything.
