Some people in media are game-changers, who command their own audience. People will follow them if they leave a network. They're above the network.
Other people are just slot-fillers who people will watch because they're too lazy to change the channel but no one will follow them anywhere. They need the network, they need the brand, they need the fake prestige. They need the slot where they are guaranteed at least a minimum level of audience, such as in airport waiting lounges.I wonder which of the two Chris Wallace is.
Chris Wallace out at CNN after 3 years at the networkOh. Looks like he's a slot-filler.
CNN's weekend program 'The Chris Wallace Show' averaged below 600,000 total viewers during the election year
So: Did he really quit, or was he fired? He was fired, really:
Veteran broadcaster Chris Wallace is leaving CNN after less than three years at the network. "Chris Wallace is one of the most respected political journalists in the news business with a unique track record across radio, print, broadcast television, cable television and streaming," CNN CEO Mark Thompson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "We want to thank him for the dedication and wisdom he's brought to all his work at CNN and to wish him the very best for the future." Wallace was offered a contract extension by CNN but chose to leave the network, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to Fox News Digital. His departure from CNN was first reported by The Daily Beast. The 77-year-old told The Daily Beast he wants to go independent into streaming or podcasting.
According to a report from The Ankler last month, Wallace had been offered "a new deal for significantly less than the $8.5 million pact he inked under former CNN boss Jeff Zucker."When you offer someone a "significant" pay cut, you're really firing them. And yet they re-hired Tater. That must sting. A 77-year-old is going to get into the podcast game? Is he going to do some collabs with the blowjob whore of Call Her Daddy? A little update to the MSNBC story. They're bragging about their election night ratings. Obviously, everyone, including me, put on MSNBC to watch the meltdowns after Trump took a lead in Pennsylvania.

A week ago, news came that Comcast was considering spinning off these valueless, money-losing properties.
Comcast said it was considering spinning off its cable networks that include CNBC and MSNBC into a separate company, as the media industry grapples with a decline in traditional TV viewership due to cord-cutting by consumers shifting to streaming. The potential spin-off would exclude the NBC broadcast network and the Peacock streaming service. The company, however, is interested in seeking a partner for Peacock to help grow that business, Comcast president Mike Cavanagh said on Thursday. So they want to partly sell off Peacock. They want someone to take a share of the losses.
Now comes word that Comcast is officially putting these loser properties up for sale.
"We chose not to participate in the M&A process around Paramount in the earlier part of this year. But we would consider partnerships in streaming," Cavanagh added.
Shares of Comcast were nearly 3% higher in early trading as the company also reported better-than-expected revenue for the third quarter on the back of box office hits and an Olympics-driven surge in ad sales. Declining profitability in cable TV has been pushing media companies to explore options for their legacy businesses, even as they struggle to stem losses at their streaming services.
Eric DaughertyI'm not sure if he's just repeating the already-reported news of a potential sale, or if he's saying he has word that MSNBC will be sold. MSNBC's ratings have crashed since the election they claimed was in the bag for Kamala Harris. Their audience can't be happy they were lied to throughout the campaign.
@EricLDaugh NEW: Comcast reportedly set to sell left-wing network MSNBC
I can't think of any other potential buyers other than George Soros or, say, a joint partnership between Soros and a cadre of other communist billionaires. The networks do not make money, they just make leftwing narratives. They have no economic value. Oh -- Time magazine is on the chopping block, too.
Benny Johnson
@bennyjohnson Proof the atomization of Corporate Media is upon us MSNBC ratings have precipitously cratered since Trump's sweeping victory on Election Day: Morning Joe -- down 39.6%
Joy Reid's Reidout -- down 54.6%
Andrea Mitchell -- down 39.7%
Ari Melber -- down 49.6%
All-in w Chris Hayes -- down 47.2%
Alex Wagner Tonight- down 53.6%
Lawrence O'Donnell -- down 60.6%
Stephanie Ruhle -- down 67% On Election Night, 25% of cable networks' usual viewers chose not to watch-- instead tuning into independent creators' record-breaking streams like ours. Trump isn't even in office yet is already defeating the fake news. The Golden Age of media.

We have an official cabinet department responsible for dealing with the entire world, both good and bad. And this is how they react because they didn't get their way. Do you really want these mentally ill adolescents in charge of anything other than a coffee maker or a mop?
Biden-Harris State Department Holds Therapy Session After Trump Win.I voted for Ronald Reagan twice. I voted for Bush The Elder Twice. Imagine how I felt the day after Slick Willie beat Bush. I got up, drove to my job. Did my job, drove home. And spent the evening with the Fabulous, our daughters and pooches. There was no sobbing, no Emotional Therapy Dogs. No crayons. Just living the life I had at the time being the best husband, father and employee I could be. I've always been political but by God I'm not going to let it run my life. There were recitals to attend. Basketball games to watch. Fish fries to be consumed with friends. I didn't hate my fellow American for not voting the way I wanted them to. Never threatened to quit because the people I served were lower than I. Because we differ didn't make me better.
President Donald J. Trump‘s stunning landslide election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris has sparked a mental health crisis at the U.S. State Department. On Friday, the agency organized an in-house therapy session for employees who feel unable to cope with the changing political environment and Trump’s return to the White House.“Managing stress during change,” reads a State Department email message announcing the therapy session to agency employees. During the one-hour session, attendees were encouraged to express their unfiltered, emotional reaction to the presidential election and Trump’s victory. The Bureau of Medical Services was responsible for organizing the sessions.
But what galls me the most is the pure "Holier than thou" attitude these 'Thought leaders and educators' display in public let alone the faculty lounge. I am not a gynecologist. But, I know a k@n+ when I see one. Can you imagine walking up to a clerk and mock them to their face about their opinion concerning the presidential election? Well if you can't imagine doing that. Let me introduce you to someone who would.

Another typical White Karen. You say -- but ace, she's Asian. Is she? All I see is a human being in need. In need of lithium. Why do all the White Karens do the kindergarten teacher act? This woman is distraught because, on today of all days, she's -- get this -- out of her medication. This woman? On prescription psychotropics? Get out of here with that nonsense! Just more unfuckables. Unattractive women who look like they're on the lower end of the economic spectrum calling other people "ugly" and "broke-ass" will never not be funny to me. She also says she's "educated." I think she means "I have a degree." Which isn't the same thing at all. This unfuckable ninehead is worried about unwanted hypothetical pregnancies. The parade of the Unfuckables continues. Remember when adult women behaved like adult women, rather than spastic 12-year-old boys with emotional disturbances? Ghastly obese lesbians worry that they're going to be forced to be sexual Handmaidens. Ladies, I've got some great news for you: Don't sweat it like you sweat when your walk a flight of steps.
Oh look, they're all talking about leaving the country... again. But they sadly won't... again. Is it too early to hand out Mother of the Year awards? Do we really have to wait until January when we've got the clear winner already?

Christopher Hale
@chrisjollyhale A Latino prison guard who voted for Clinton and Biden told MSNBC's Chris Jansing he voted for Trump yesterday because "Democrats make me feel bad about who I am."
Democrats, who allegedly Love Latinxes, somehow missed the fact that Spanish speakers literally invented "machismo" and therefore don't like being called Latinx transexuals.
Mary Katharine Ham
@mkhammer A stat that stuck with me this election cycle from an AEI study on politics and sexuality (cited in a NYT piece, I'll link both): Self-perception of masculinity is a partisan dividing line for men in a way self-IDed femininity is not for women. 54% of R men view themselves as "very masculine" compared to 33% of Ds. Do you know what two other groups self-ID as "very masculine" at the same rate? Latino men (52%) and black men (55%). I would bet a Latino prison guard sees himself as "very masculine." Play a word association game with any left-leaning person. What word do they most associate with "masculinity?" Toxic. We all hear this frequently. It's not a secret, and though toxic people and traits are a real thing, the left often leaves no room for the idea of good men who are also masculine. It's exclusively "GIRL POWER" and "men, you've had your turn, quit manspreading" while they're over here facing very problems, more despair deaths and suicide and less educational attainment than women. It makes plenty of sense to me a Latino prison guard would look at the modern Democratic Party and conclude he's not welcome and instead take a chance on the Party of Dana White and Joe Rogan. Not *because* he's toxic-- you'll lose this voter forever if you assume this migration proves his worthlessness-- but because he thinks *they* don't see him as toxic.
AWFL feminists scream about their own autonomy, but insist on total control of men. I remember Taylor Lorenz freaking out that people were being allowed to have unmonitored, "unsupervised" discussions on X and say things she disagreed with. Modern feminism stands for Maoist control over men. Whatever men want to do or say or even just think, AWFL feminists think they should get a vote over whether or men have their permission. And even if they lose the vote -- they still want control.
This shift appears to have been particularly strong in swing states that Trump won, but he made progress everywhere. In Michigan, for example, Trump won a whopping 58% of Latino voters compared to just 39% for Harris, according to the Edison poll. Harris and Trump tied among Latino voters in North Carolina and Nevada... Trump beat Harris 51-49 in Hidalgo County, in South Texas -- a Mexican American stronghold that Biden won with 58% of the vote in 2020.The backstory here is that Democrats have been saying for more than a decade that demographics are destiny. The big idea was that as the country gradually became less white and more Hispanic, Democrats would at some point have a lock on electoral politics. But of course that assumed minorities would continue to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. This year that doesn't seem to be the case. And it wasn't just Hispanics who shifted right.
Mr. Trump's gains with Black voters were less significant but still notable in smaller communities across Georgia. Hancock, Talbot and Jefferson Counties, all majority-Black counties with no more than 15,000 people, shifted toward Mr. Trump. The Trump campaign celebrated a victory in Baldwin County, Ga., where 42 percent of the population is Black. Republicans had not won the county for decades. Asian American voters, who make up the fastest-growing eligible electorate in the country, also appeared to have drifted away from Democrats, according to exit polls and unofficial returns. "The strength of Trump's reach into the traditional Democratic coalition of voters of color was stunning," said Daniel HoSang, a professor at Yale who has written about the rise of right-wing political attitudes among minority groups.

Harris falls short with female voters, stunning DemocratsWomp womp. They're ripping into White Women, of course. The racist Joy Reid can't stop talking about evil treacherous white women. It's part of her Anti-Racist agenda, don't you know. And Democrats pretend they Love Latinxes, but have immediately began demonizing Brown People. Here are some of the White Supremacists of Democrat Underground:
Vice President Harris's strategy of riding on a surge of female support ultimately fell flat, with hints that Election Day could see a historic gender gap failing to materialize. White women sided with President-elect Trump for the third straight cycle, and he also made inroads with Latina voters and young women. Trump improved on his 2020 margins with Latina women by 8 points, according to Edison Research. And among young women, Trump improved by 11 points compared to last cycle, according to NBC News exit polling. While Harris won women, Trump's gains with the voting bloc have Democrats reeling as they work to understand what went wrong on election night. "At the end of the day, female voters across the country looked at whether they were better off than they were four years ago and they decided that they weren't," said Lauren Zelt, executive director of Maggie's List, a group dedicated to electing conservative women to public office. In the lead-up to Election Day, Republicans repeatedly pointed back to the argument that women are often the financial gatekeepers for their families, betting that large swaths of the voting bloc would prioritize the economy amid high inflation. Democrats, on the other hand, prioritized abortion access to energize women, framing Harris's campaign as a fight for fundamental freedoms. "Democrats made the mistake of lumping all women together and assuming that we vote as a bloc on one issue," said Kristin Davison, a national Republican strategist.
FINE... I'll be the first to say it: I wish Biden hadn't dropped out. I know it was his choice, and he is elderly. America gave him 20 million votes we didn't give Harris. Why? Because he's a WHITE MAN. We gambled, like we did in 2016, that America had evolved beyond its sexist, racist roots. And like 2016, we lost. This time we lost even bigger: we lost the popular vote? Do the math. Americans are garbage people. Democrats need to reckon with the reality of such widespread misogyny, but I'm not sure if Joe would have won either. The rigors of campaigning would have made things so much worse. We FOUGHT for democracy. And lost to sexists and racists. There's more of them than there is of us, and their hate is stronger than our nebulous "community". trump's win shows that racism and misogyny is much worst than we thought. A certain POC demograhic voted 45 percent for trump, up from 32 percent for trump in 2020. Black voters support for trump was just 12 percent. The same as 2020. I will never get that demographic, who will remain nameless, what the fuck is wrong with them? Some will have relatives and people close to them that will be deported! FEMA previously claimed that they had taken "extreme actions" to discipline her -- which turned out to be shuffling her from one county to another, like a pedophile teacher.
Now that popular outrage has exploded, they say they "fired" her. But did they? Other reports say she was merely "relieved of duties," which sounds an awful lot like being paid to not come into work while they wait for the heat to die down. Daily Mail:Amid the outrage at the nation's emergency department for the apparent discrimination, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell announced Saturday that Washington has been fired from her position. 'This is a clear violation of FEMA's core values and principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation,' she wrote of Washington's actions, which she called 'reprehensible.' 'I want to be clear to all of my employees and the American people, this type of behavior and action will not be tolerated at FEMA and we will hold people accountable if they violate these standards of conduct,' Criswell posted on X, announcing Washington's termination from the agency. 'I will continue to do everything I can to make sure this never happens again,' she added. According to the Daily Wire, the employees who followed Washington's orders were part of a Department of Homeland Security team that was made up of volunteers from other agencies.

Vice President Kamala Harris paid Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions $1 million, just one example of millions the campaign spent on various entertainers during the vice president's failed bid for president. The Harris campaign paid $1 million to Winfrey's company on October 15, according to a report in the Washington Examiner, coming after a star-studded town hall that Winfrey hosted for the vice president in September. Winfrey also appeared at Harris' final rally in Philadelphia on the eve of Election Day, with the talk show star offering a rare endorsement of a presidential candidate. "We're voting for values and integrity," Winfrey said at the rally. "We're voting for healing over hate." But Winfrey wasn't the only star the Harris campaign spent big money on, with the Washington Examiner report also revealing that the campaign spent big on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. "A source familiar with the matter told the Washington Examiner that the Harris campaign spent six figures on building a set for Harris's appearance on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper," the Examiner wrote. "The interview came out in October and was reportedly filmed in a hotel room in Washington, D.C."
Oprah Winfrey and Vice President Kamala Harris walking together at a 2024 campaign rally outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art 3 The campaign also spent up to $20 million on swing-state concerts on the eve of the election, according to a report in the New York Post, a sum that could have been more if a planned performance by Alanis Morissette had not been scrapped. The campaign had seven swing-state concerts on Monday, the report noted, including performances by Jon Bon Jovi in Detroit, Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, Katy Perry in Pittsburgh and Lady Gaga in Philadelphia, and a 2 Chainz performance at a rally three days before the election in Atlanta.

Tucker Carlson
@TuckerCarlson What the hell is going on in the US Senate? Hours after Donald Trump wins the most conclusive mandate in 40 years, Mitch McConnell engineers a coup against his agenda by calling early leadership elections in the senate. Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal whose politics are indistinguishable from Liz Cheney's. The election is Wednesday, it's by secret ballot, and it will determine whether or not the new administration succeeds. Rick Scott of Florida is the only candidate who agrees with Donald Trump. Call your senator and demand a public endorsement of Rick Scott. Don't let McConnell get away with it again.
If these c*cks*ckers pick another anti-Trump liberal establishment "Republican" to subvert Trump's presidency, I don't know what I'll do. Before reading this, you should know the background with recess appointments. Democrats blocked Trump's appointees. Now, presidents usually filled blocked appointments with recess appointments, appointed when the Senate was in recess. These temporary appointments can serve without Senate confirmation for a year. Guess what McConnell did? He never allowed the Senate to technically go into recess. Oh, they recess all the time, but McConnell schemed to have one single "Republican" senator open what's called a pro-forma session -- that is a fake session -- every single day and then immediately close the session. Since the Senate was "doing business" every day, Trump had his appointees blocked by Democrats first, and then blocked by McConnelll and the cuck caucus second. They were working together. Blatantly.
Rick Scott's campaign to become the next Senate GOP Majority Leader is gaining traction, fueled by a vocal online surge. The momentum grew on Sunday when Elon Musk took to X to endorse Scott, declaring, "Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader!" Musk's post instantly added visibility to Scott's campaign, with MAGA supporters amplifying the message across social media. Scott's public support for President-elect Trump's call to use recess appointments--a move Trump deems essential for swift confirmations--has tapped into the conservative online base, building more backing from senators with influential online followings. "100% agree," Scott posted in response to Trump's stance. "I will do whatever it takes to get your nominations through as quickly as possible." Scott's online campaign is also gaining strength from influential senators who have joined in backing him. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul have each publicly pledged to support Scott in his leadership bid. Their endorsements are shared and discussed widely on social media, elevating Scott's visibility in a tight leadership contest. While Scott faces stiff competition from fellow Republicans John Cornyn and John Thune, his alignment with Trump's recess appointment demands and the social media surge could reshape his chances. Even as reports suggest Trump has yet to endorse any candidate, Scott is hopeful the president-elect will lend him public support, which would likely amplify his rising popularity.Trump says he must have recess appointments. Only Scott has agreed to this.
Donald J. TrumpYou'll notice that McConnell called for a secret vote. That's because "Republican" senators are about to sell their voters out, again, and want no record of their vote. In a video below the fold, Benny Johnson says that some senators who would "shock" you are supporting the McConnell Cuck Caucus because of private promises of grants of power. Like... Ted Cruz. But this vote doesn't have to be secret -- we must have a vote to make it public. And then we know anyone voting to keep it secret plans to vote for the McConnell "pets," Thune or Cornyn, as Benny Johnson reports they are called.
@realDonaldTrump Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner. Sometimes the votes can take two years, or more. This is what they did four years ago, and we cannot let it happen again. We need positions filled IMMEDIATELY! Additionally, no Judges should be approved during this period of time because the Democrats are looking to ram through their Judges as the Republicans fight over Leadership. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU!
Jenny Beth MartinI like the idea of a streamed candidate forum.
@jennybethm For Rick Scott to become Sen Majority Leader, candidate forum & vote for Senate Majority Leader must be open, not secret. Otherwise, senators will say one thing publicly & vote another in secret. Call your GOP Senators at 202-224-3121 to say: 1. Stream candidate forum on @X
2. Make the vote public, not secret 3. Vote for @SenRickScott Majority Leader
I'm in touch w/ Senate side advocating for Rick Scott. They say an open vote is unlikely. It is best for you to ask GOP Senators to vote for @SenRickScott & to tell publicly who they will & who they did cast their vote. It's important that as I give action items, I give the best action items for you to get the result we desire - Senate Leadership that will support & respect the election's mandate. As such, I'm giving this update to keep you informed as you take action.Anyone refusing a public vote is doing so because they intend to betray the public.
Trump has named Tom Hohman as his choice for Border Czar. He will be unnacceptable to Democrats and the McConnell Cuck Caucus because he actually wants to enforce the border.
President-elect Donald Trump has appointed former ICE Director Tom Homan as his administration's "border czar," entrusting him with a comprehensive role that covers the southern border, northern border, coastal areas, and air border security. Trump announced Homan's appointment on Truth Social late Sunday, emphasizing Homan's deep experience and commitment to border control. Trump's move strategically sidesteps the need for Senate confirmation, a likely contentious process given Homan's longstanding alignment with Trump's immigration policies. "I've known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders," Trump stated, highlighting that Homan would oversee all deportations of illegal immigrants back to their countries of origin. Homan's position will make him a key advisor to the president on border security and deportation operations, amplifying Trump's commitment to enforcing immigration laws with renewed rigor. Homan recently appeared on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures, where he outlined Trump's plans for targeting illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds first. "It's going to be the worst first," Homan stated, emphasizing a "humane operation" that he considers necessary for national security. Trump has pledged to conduct one of the largest deportation efforts in U.S. history, targeting up to 25 million undocumented immigrants, according to campaign promises. As conservatives rise up to demand that Scott (or anyone in alignment with the President) be selected as Majority Leader, McConnell's attack dog and protoge John Thune tells us to shut our mouths because our input is "not helpful" to the Cuck Caucus's efforts to rig this. "We are not pleased" to have our constituents' weigh in on this choice, says the Cuck Caucus:

Senator John ThuneCornyn similarly begged Biden to turn the whole of government to chasing down people present at January 6th. Thune also demanded that Trump withdraw from the election in October 2016, presumably after the "pussy grab" tape:
@SenJohnThune Kimberley & I are heartbroken to learn that a U.S. Capitol Police officer has died heroically defending the Capitol against despicable violence. We're praying for the officer's family & for all the members of the @CapitolPolice, who are mourning the loss of their fellow officer.

As Mark Halperin predicted: We are entering a period of the greatest mental health crisis in American history.
And, I'd add, it will go unacknowledged and untreated, because the mental health "professionals" are all equally deranged and this this is normal.A Minnesota dad who ranted against President-elect Donald Trump online shot and killed his wife, ex-partner, and his two sons before turning the gun on himself, according to authorities. The shooter, 46-year-old Anthony Nephew, had a "pattern of mental health issues," Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa said on Friday -- one day after authorities found five people dead inside two homes in the city. Authorities found Anthony Nephew's ex-partner Erin Abramson, 47, and their son, Jacob Nephew, 15, dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside their home Thursday afternoon, police said. After identifying Anthony Nephew as a suspect, police found his 45-year-old wife, Kathryn Nephew, and their 7-year-old son, Oliver Nephew, dead from gunshot wounds inside their family home close by. Anthony Nephew was also found dead inside the home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. The left keeps talking about a "propaganda echo chamber" that has become a "pipeline to radicalization." They want the government to shut it down.
Before his rampage, Anthony Nephew had been sharing left-wing and anti-Trump posts on his Facebook account. "My mental health and the world can no longer peacefully coexist, and a lot of the reason is religion," Anthony Nephew wrote in July. "I am terrified of religious zealots inflicting their misguided beliefs on me and my family. I have intrusive thoughts of being burned at the stake as a witch, or crucified on a burning cross. "Having people actually believe that I or my child are Satan or, the anti-Christ or whatever their favorite color of boogie man they are afraid are this week."
In another post, he accused Republicans of "making it harder for women to leave" abusive relationships. "Gilead here we come," he wrote, referencing "The Handmaid's Tale," a dystopian novel-turned-Hulu series in which women, who have been stripped of their rights, are forced to reproduce for the ruling class.
I agree. The propaganda media is talking about Joe Rogan, this blog, and anyone else dissenting with their vicious lunatic Satanic ideology. But the real propaganda echo chamber serving as a pipeline to radicalization is, obviously, the Marxist media itself. And I now agree -- yes, the government should take active steps to shut it down. On MSNBC, the vicious lunatic racist Joy Reid hosts a "psychologist" who urges people to cut Trump-supporting family members out of their lives.

This is grounds for firing right here. If you're this emotional, you need to work a less stressful and important job.
Adam Kredo:'Managing Stress During Change': Biden-Harris State Department Holds Therapy Session After Trump Win The Biden-Harris State Department organized an in-house therapy session for employees early Friday following Donald Trump's election victory, four sources with knowledge of the meeting told the Washington Free Beacon.Speaking of partisan Democrats unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration: Trump's possible AG pick is telling partisan Democrats to get out before they're fired.
"Managing stress during change," read an internal State Department email sent across the agency that encouraged employees to attend a one-hour session in which they could discuss their feelings about Tuesday's election results. The department's Employee Consultation Services in the Bureau of Medical Services hosted the session, according to a copy of the email notice described by sources to the Free Beacon. "Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty," the email said. "Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times. This session will provide tips and practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining your well being." The session was led by a licensed clinical provider. A second one is scheduled for Nov. 13, according to the email notice. The State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, which oversees American diplomacy in the war-torn Middle East, also held a group discussion Friday with assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs Barbara Leaf and acting undersecretary for political affairs John Bass, according to three sources briefed on the matter. One source described the meeting as a "cry session" over Trump's victory, which is likely to usher in wholesale change at Foggy Bottom. Officials in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs have been working for months to sanction the Jewish government and withhold critical arms shipments, alleging Israel is not doing enough to provide humanitarian aid in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. They are said to have discussed the difficulty of Trump's victory and urged employees to share their feelings in private settings.
"For four years, within the rank and file, there has been an over emphasis on people's feelings, often with a college campus-like fervor, rather than the work of advancing America's interests," one U.S. official with knowledge of the meetings told the Free Beacon. "This meeting was hopefully the last gasp of that," the source said, adding that there is "lots to unf--k" at the State Department after four years of the Biden-Harris administration. A second source briefed on the private discussions said they suggest "the State Department is filled with partisan Democrats who are unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration."
A conservative lawyer working on Donald Trump's transition, Mark Paoletta, offered a stark warning to career Justice Department lawyers Monday that those who refuse to advance Trump's agenda should resign or face the possibility of being fired. "Once the decision is made to move forward, career employees are required to implement the President's plan," Paoletta wrote in a post on X responding to a POLITICO story detailing widespread fear among DOJ lawyers about being asked to advance or defend policies they consider unethical or illegal. "If these career DOJ employees won't implement President Trump's program in good faith, they should leave," Paoletta said. "Those employees who engage in so-called 'resistance' against the duly-elected President's lawful agenda would be subverting American democracy. ... [t]hose that take such actions would be subject to disciplinary measures, including termination."

A FEMA supervisor told workers in a message to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid, internal messages viewed by The Daily Wire reveal. The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, relayed this message both verbally and in a group chat used by the relief team, multiple government employees told The Daily Wire. The government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance. Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: “Trump sign no entry per leadership.”The good news is that this occurred in Florida, and the criminals at FEMA will have to deal with America’s Governor, Ron DeSantis. I would like to politely counter one point that I have been reading on conservative Twitter, specifically, that this must be an organized effort within FEMA. That may not be true, which is even worse. FEMA, like just about every other nook and cranny of the federal government, has been Obama-ized. Federal employees understand that they are deputized to advance the left’s agenda and use their government position as a weapon to target and punish conservatives. It is neither official nor written down, it is simply understood. Lois Lerner didn’t have to be instructed by Obama to use the IRS to target conservatives for harassment, and similarly, Marn’i Washington didn’t need to be told to deny FEMA services to conservatives. She knew that was her role in the politicized government apparatus, as do a great many of her colleagues and supervisors. Marn’i Washington deserves jail time and her supervisors must be fired for creating an environment where this weaponization of government can flourish. The whistleblowers at FEMA deserve much praise for their bravery in coming forward. Without the change in government that was voted into place last week, those whistleblowers would have likely found themselves the targets of persecution by the Obama-Biden regime.

Good morning kids and I want to extend extra special greetings to all of you and your loved ones who serve and have served in uniform to defend our nation. Thank you for your service dedication and sacrifices.
May our armed forces and indeed every last vestige of our society be cleansed of the evil rot that has infested and poisoned it. May we as a nation and God-fearing people be restored. Happy Veterans Day to you.Posted by: J.J. Sefton at 07:15 AM | Comments (535) | Trackbacks (Suck)

- Generative AI doesn't have a coherent understanding of the world. (MIT)
No fucking shit. Thanks to the big brains at MIT for bringing us this world-shattering news. The researchers found that a popular type of generative AI model can provide turn-by-turn driving directions in New York City with near-perfect accuracy — without having formed an accurate internal map of the city.
It's a stochastic parrot. We know.
Despite the model's uncanny ability to navigate effectively, when the researchers closed some streets and added detours, its performance plummeted.
When they dug deeper, the researchers found that the New York maps the model implicitly generated had many nonexistent streets curving between the grid and connecting far away intersections. This could have serious implications for generative AI models deployed in the real world, since a model that seems to be performing well in one context might break down if the task or environment slightly changes.
Again, anyone who has used AI for more than a couple of minutes is fully aware of this."We needed test beds where we know what the world model is. Now, we can rigorously think about what it means to recover that world model," Vafa explains.
It doesn't have one.The researchers demonstrated the implications of this by adding detours to the map of New York City, which caused all the navigation models to fail.
Yep.
Years ago, engineers tried using genetic algorithms to optimise a particular electronic circuit to use fewer transistors. They got a result that worked, but nobody could explain how.
Turned out it worked by the coincidental passive properties of the circuit, and not due to the transistors. The moment you made the slightest change to the operating conditions, it failed entirely.
