Our Very Competent Diplomats and Intelligence Analysts at the State Department Need Play-Doh Therapy Due to Trump's Win

This is grounds for firing right here. If you're this emotional, you need to work a less stressful and important job.

Adam Kredo:

'Managing Stress During Change': Biden-Harris State Department Holds Therapy Session After Trump Win

The Biden-Harris State Department organized an in-house therapy session for employees early Friday following Donald Trump's election victory, four sources with knowledge of the meeting told the Washington Free Beacon.

"Managing stress during change," read an internal State Department email sent across the agency that encouraged employees to attend a one-hour session in which they could discuss their feelings about Tuesday's election results. The department's Employee Consultation Services in the Bureau of Medical Services hosted the session, according to a copy of the email notice described by sources to the Free Beacon.

"Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty," the email said. "Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times. This session will provide tips and practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining your well being."

The session was led by a licensed clinical provider. A second one is scheduled for Nov. 13, according to the email notice.

The State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, which oversees American diplomacy in the war-torn Middle East, also held a group discussion Friday with assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs Barbara Leaf and acting undersecretary for political affairs John Bass, according to three sources briefed on the matter.

One source described the meeting as a "cry session" over Trump's victory, which is likely to usher in wholesale change at Foggy Bottom. Officials in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs have been working for months to sanction the Jewish government and withhold critical arms shipments, alleging Israel is not doing enough to provide humanitarian aid in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. They are said to have discussed the difficulty of Trump's victory and urged employees to share their feelings in private settings.

"For four years, within the rank and file, there has been an over emphasis on people's feelings, often with a college campus-like fervor, rather than the work of advancing America's interests," one U.S. official with knowledge of the meetings told the Free Beacon.

"This meeting was hopefully the last gasp of that," the source said, adding that there is "lots to unf--k" at the State Department after four years of the Biden-Harris administration.

A second source briefed on the private discussions said they suggest "the State Department is filled with partisan Democrats who are unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration."

Speaking of partisan Democrats unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration: Trump's possible AG pick is telling partisan Democrats to get out before they're fired.

A conservative lawyer working on Donald Trump's transition, Mark Paoletta, offered a stark warning to career Justice Department lawyers Monday that those who refuse to advance Trump's agenda should resign or face the possibility of being fired.

"Once the decision is made to move forward, career employees are required to implement the President's plan," Paoletta wrote in a post on X responding to a POLITICO story detailing widespread fear among DOJ lawyers about being asked to advance or defend policies they consider unethical or illegal.

"If these career DOJ employees won't implement President Trump's program in good faith, they should leave," Paoletta said. "Those employees who engage in so-called 'resistance' against the duly-elected President's lawful agenda would be subverting American democracy. ... [t]hose that take such actions would be subject to disciplinary measures, including termination."

29 Trump is already weakening his chances of success by appointing members of the House to his cabinet. Stefanik got UN ambassador and now I see Mike Walz is the favorite for Defense Secretary. At best, the GOP will have a 4 seat margin in the House. Could be lower. Why would you want to remove 2 from that? They are from red districts and will be replaced by GOPs most likely, but that will take time. The first 100 days is when you have maximum impact. Makes no sense. It could even cost the GOP a majority if the last few races aren't won.

Every department head needs to have metrics for their performance based on how much regulation they eliminate using Loper as justification.

The objective would be to get the federal government to be as big as it was before Chevron doctrine in the 80s.

Vivek has said that using Loper (the bit I read didn't have him name it specifically, but he did refer to SCOTUS' recent decisions in general) is going to be a top priority when it comes to the bureaucracy.

Seriously. If the administrative state had reacted calmly to Trump, they'd be as powerful, if not more, after Trump goes away. Now...it seems like that's not going to be the case.

Then they compounded the problem with a boring story, weak script, bad casting, and repetitive, uninspired action scenes that looked exactly like the scenes from all the other Mad Max movies. And for a budget of this size, the CGI looked inexplicably shitty.

If Trump won in 2020, he would’ve had a Democrat House and Senate

More impeachments, no Senate confirmations, no bills passed, and possibly the end of the MAGA movement as an effective political force

But now?

He has the House, Senate, Supreme Court, a popular vote mandate, and an entire country that wants to clean up our elections, close our borders, deport illegals, and hold corrupt politicians accountable

They will stop at nothing to show the American people that the senate is the boss, not them. The race for majority leader should be more aptly called the race for head snake Charmer. Rick Scott will be the only person running who will pushed forward the agenda. Cornyn and Thune have already made it clear they will not. 278 There are not just GS (and GM) positions in federal government. OPM dot gov: What does GS, WS, WG, YA, VN etc. mean in a position’s title?

In part, Blue-collar employees are paid under the Federal Wage System (FWS). FWS positions are craft, trade, and laboring positions and include several different pay plans (WS, WG, WL, etc.). FWS positions are paid on an hourly basis.

Some agencies have statutory authority to administer their own pay systems. Employees within these agencies may be paid under separate pay systems (e.g., pay bands) with separate pay plan codes. For instance, the YA pay plan is used only by the Department of Defense for positions classified under the National Security Personnel System (NSPS). The VN pay plan is specific to nursing positions within the Department of Veteran Affairs. Because of variations in independent personnel systems across the Federal Government, it is recommended applicants contact the hiring agency directly to obtain definitive information about pay plans other than the GS.

Look at the CV of nearly any leftist:
Elite schools
work at some NGO/union/non-porfit
job at State, preferably over-seas.
Bumped up in the next Dem admin to another Dept.
From there, it's either bureaucrat lifer or they get handed an elected position to see if they can advance there.

Cleaning out State will gut their ability to embed their agents throughout government.

284 274 One of the Antifa (an imaginary thing) pages I followed back a while ago on farcebook has this brilliant reason why Kamala lost.

"The Democrats did not lose because they were too “left-wing” or too “woke” or too "queer.”
They lost because they ran as Bush-era Republicans, with Bush-era Republicans stumping for them, even though the last time they were able to present themselves as a party with vision and ideas was when they were running to unseat Bush."

Weird that Democrats feel the need to run as moderates to win elections, huh?

Weird that Kamala had to act like she'd never said that she wanted to ban fracking, huh?

So, yes. I agree. Kamala ran as a W. Republican.

Introduced in Senate (09/27/2022)
Empowering States to Deport Illegal Immigrants Act

This bill authorizes states to take actions to enforce federal immigration law.

Specifically, the bill authorizes states to authorize state and local law enforcement to enforce certain provisions of federal immigration law, including provisions relating to unlawful entry and employing unauthorized non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law). State prosecutors must prosecute every case brought by a state under this bill.

The bill also abrogates a 2012 Supreme Court ruling that invalidated an Arizona law that made it a crime for unauthorized non-U.S. nationals to work in the state. Specifically, the court ruled that the Arizona law was preempted by federal immigration law.

That one event set the tone and nature for Biden’s four years of foreign policy disasters.

Trump’s SoS, whomever that may be, needs playback that entire speech to the Chinese in his/her first meeting and then ask: “Would you like to repeat that?”

When the Chinese diplomats are sitting there stone faced and stupidly silent then the new Secretary needs to verbally rip their asses apart starting with their Human Rights record, proceeding to their enormous theft of American intellectual property, to calling out their lies and hiding the truth on COVID, and finishing it all off with a warning about what happens if they get froggy over Taiwan.

After all of those pleasantries are out of the way, inform the Chinese what their new tariff rates will be.

Anything less will be extremely unsatisfying, to say the least.

========

The GOP is outright winning the "national House vote" by 2-3% both in 2022 and this year.

The reason the GOP doesn't get larger majorities in the House with that is because of...gerrymandering in states like CA, MA, and NY.

The Census intentionally on accident giving CA and NY more House seats than they deserved (admitted by the Census Bureau itself a couple of years ago) added to that issue.

The most important thing for the House in the next decade is for the GOP to control the Census Bureau in 2030.

What's funny is Dems are starting to assume Trump cheated. This grousing could easily be used to undermine opposition to election security problems and a little bit would go a long way.

Back in the 80s and 90s the downvote cheat could not take weeks to steam House and Senate seats. They had to do it in one day.

491 The people you should really worry about are the Republicans in the senate. They are the last bastion of the establishment and they’re showing their true colors. Rick Scott will be the only person running who will pushed forward the agenda. Cornyn and Thune have already made it clear they will not. They believe actually doing what the American people want is selling out their “independence”. Notice you haven’t heard much from Collins, Murkowski, Cassidy and the rest of the Democrats Lite?
