Zuckerberg Announces "Drastic Reduction" in "Censorship;" Says "Fact-Checkers" are "Too Politically Biased," Says US Government "Has Pushed For Censorship"
Meta is ending its fact-checking program and lifting restrictions on speech to "restore free expression" across Facebook, Instagram and Meta platforms, admitting its current content moderation practices have "gone too far." "We're going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies and restoring free expression on our platforms," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a video posted Tuesday morning. "More specifically, we're going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with Community Notes similar to X, starting in the U.S."In his announcement, posted below the fold, he called out these "fact-checkers" as "too politically biased." Bear in mind these fake "third-party" "fact-checkers" were demanded into existence by the left and the US government under Biden. They needed some supposedly non-governmental third-party censors, and the "fact-checkers" were willed into being through leftwing NGO funding and, yes, government funding. They never existed to check "facts." They existed to provide a figleaf of plausible deniability for government-mandated censors to suppress any information the leftwing government didn't want people to know or speak about.
Meta's chief global affairs officer, Joel Kaplan, joined Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning for an exclusive interview to discuss the changes. "This is a great opportunity for us to reset the balance in favor of free expression. As Mark says in that video, what we're doing is we're getting back to our roots and free expression," Kaplan told "Fox & Friends."By the way, don't think that I think Zuckerberg is a hero. I don't. He's a villain. But in walking away from his villainy, he's conceding that the villains have been defeated. Meta's third-party fact-checking program was put in place after the 2016 election and had been used to "manage content" and misinformation on its platforms, largely due to "political pressure," executives said, but admitted the system has "gone too far." "We went to independent, third-party fact-checkers," Kaplan told Fox News Digital in an interview. "It has become clear there is too much political bias in what they choose to fact-check because, basically, they get to fact-check whatever they see on the platform." Kaplan told Fox News Digital that Meta is "ending that completely" and will replace it with a "Community Notes" model similar to the one used on X, formerly Twitter. "Instead of going to some so-called expert, it instead relies on the community and the people on the platform to provide their own commentary to something that they've read," Kaplan explained, noting that if a note gets support from "the broadest cross-section of users," that note can be attached to the content for others to see.More vindication: Zuckerberg and Kaplan both admit that they've been censoring the actual debate over transgenderism to favor the transgender cultists.

"The thing is, as American companies, when other governments around the world that don't have our tradition or our First Amendment, when they see the United States government pressuring U.S. companies to take down content, it is just open season then for those governments to put more pressure [on their companies]," Kaplan explained. "We do think it is a real opportunity to work with the Trump administration and to work on free expression at home."
"We've reached a point where it's just too many mistakes and too much censorship," he said. "The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point towards once again prioritizing speech." Zuckerberg directly referenced Trump several times in the video, criticizing the legacy media for their coverage of his first term in office. He also said that fact-checkers had become "too politically biased."For his part, Trump is willing to forgive Zuckerberg and welcome him into MAGA.

I'm willing to give Zuckerberg some credit. Not a lot, but definitely some. He didn't just desert the losing army, he came over with a chest full of secret documents from the losing army's high command. He might also sense that the cultural shift is more profound that even we suspect. And he'd be in a position to know that, given that his company collects everyone's data and clicking habits every single day.

Or...some manufacturer has greased the wheels of the bribe machine in D.C., and Joe Biden will be getting his 10%. Or both. The environmental movement in America has been co-opted by the rabid leftists who see it as a powerful tool to destroy the economy and drive us into poverty. Sadly, the Democrat party sees nothing wrong with that plan, and is happy to take their votes in exchange for their insanity. Go back 45 years to the Three Mile Island accident. Contrary to the carefully manipulated media reporting, the accident was trivial. Pretty much everything that could go wrong...did go wrong, yet the amount of radiation released via vented steam was minuscule. It was a testament to the reactor design, rather than a catastrophic accident. Yet the watermelons (green on the outside... red on the inside) used it to destroy nuclear power in America. But that was okay with most people because we had lots of other energy options...at least that is what we were told by a compliant media. But coal was demonized, then oil, and now natural gas. Perhaps people should remember Martin Niemöller, quotation! What the watermelons want is an America without any energy options except solar and wind. That means the destruction of our way of life, and a future of densely packed urban poverty. Sounds like fun. But President Donald Trump and his merry band of young, aggressive, unapologetic, America and market economy-loving colleagues might do some real damage to the grand plan of our enemies! CNN commentator Adam Kinzinger said Monday on his network’s special coverage of the election certification that history will remember January 6, 2021 as a “coup attempt.”In a way, he's right. He and his Democrat/traitor compatriots after stealing the 2020 election, created a false flag operation to begin a concerted war on all who oppose them and effectively, at least for four years overthrew the government. It is indeed a miracle all things considered that Trump and we are still here to once again take the reins of power. These start with the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 at the high end, with sixteen Zen 5 cores and 40 RDNA 3.5 graphics cores, and go all the way down to the Ryzen 3 210, which "only" has four Zen 4 cores - three of which are the somewhat slower Zen 4c - and four RDNA 3 graphics cores.
Which is still reasonably fast, true.

There's no understanding the Never Trump cabal without reading its flagship commentary website: The Bulwark. The site operates as a hub for all things anti-Trump, charting the Right's descent (as they see it) into knuckle-dragging white supremacy, authoritarianism, and subservience to Moscow. It's a refuge for bitter Beltway relics of the Bush-Romney establishment who smugly cast themselves as the true heirs of Ronald Reagan, rather than out-of-touch elites more aligned with Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden than the Gipper. The Bulwark was founded by a handful of once-influential Beltway writers, most famously Bill Kristol, son of the late Irving Kristol and editor of the now-defunct Weekly Standard. But his co-founders, ex-Wisconsin radio host Charlie Sykes, who left the Bulwark for MSNBC in February, and Sarah Longwell, a political consultant and one-time chair of the LGBT group Log Cabin Republicans, are just as critical to The Bulwark's evolution into Never Trump's lodestar.There is nothing pettier than a born bureaucrat.🚢 🚢 🚢
With Kristol and Longwell at the helm, The Bulwark grew into the Kremlin for an organized network of anti-Trump forces that developed across Trump's first term. In a few short years, they transformed the jumbled anti-Trump forces into an eight-figure political ad machine for boosting Democrats, funded overwhelmingly by mega-donors on the Left. But none of that would have been possible without support from a lesser-known D.C. group, the Niskanen Center, which set the stage for what became The Bulwark. Though it's hardly a household name, the Niskanen Center is infamous in conservative Beltway circles as a gun-for-hire for Big Green activists. The think tank was born from a 2014 row within the libertarian Cato Institute over environmental policy led by then-Cato vice president Jerry Taylor. Taylor, who spent 20 years fighting as Cato's "lead climate denier," became convinced of the global warming threat and jumped ship to found his own left-leaning libertarian organization.🚢 🚢 🚢 (The obscure name was Taylor's way of flipping the middle finger to Cato. It comes from legendary Cato co-founder William Niskanen, Reagan's economic advisor and far from a global warmer, whose 2011 death sparked high drama within D.C. libertarianism and precipitated Taylor's split from the flagship of the movement.)
The Niskanen Center's first project was selling conservatives on the merits of a carbon tax, a tax levied on companies' carbon dioxide emissions to punish them into reducing their CO2 footprint. In 2019, when I spent significant time exposing the growing coalition of "eco-Right" groups -- all funded by liberals -- the carbon tax push emerged as a dire and underreported threat to the Republican Party. The eco-Right gained support in Congress from squishy Republican congressmen such as Reps. Carlos Curbelo (FL) and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), who tried to normalize global warming and carbon taxes as conservative issues. If successful, they could have split the fragile GOP and given Democrats a powerful electoral edge. They lost that fight, while Curbelo lost his seat. As time went on, Niskanen's eco-proposals grew more extreme. At one point, Taylor -- writing with the Sierra Club's former climate counsel -- proposed fining companies for "increas[ing] the number and severity of wildfires, droughts, and flash flooding," which they blamed on climate change. For justification he cited James Hansen, Obama's radical NASA director who told Congress in 2008 that fossil fuel company "CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature." At the same time, Taylor opened a public feud with his own brother, James, who became head of the climate-skeptic Heartland Institute.They're such good people.🚢 🚢 🚢 Money immediately began pumping into the new organization from the Left. I've traced six- to eight-figure grants from major "green" funders: the Hewlett and Packard Foundations; League of Conservation Voters; the multi-billion-dollar Arabella Advisors network; Arnold Ventures, bankrolled by ex-Enron billionaire John Arnold; Carnegie Corporation (despite its name, a foundation); the Joyce Foundation, whose board once included Sen. Barack Obama; eBay founder Pierre Omidyar; and arch-progressive George Soros. Soros, in particular, played an influential role in the Niskanen Center's retreat from libertarianism to leftism and the development of its positions on far more than climate change. In 2019, Niskanen announced it was "leav[ing] ideology behind" for a new vision of an "open society" at the same time it was quietly receiving millions of dollars from Soros's Open Society Foundations. The phrase isn't a coincidence; in both cases it's taken from the writings of Karl Popper, an ex-Marxist philosopher whose definition of libertarianism hinged on social engineering programs. Soros credits Popper for inspiring his globalist attitude "that no philosophy or ideology is the final arbiter of truth." So, too, does Niskanen credit Popper in describing itself as a band of "globalists who share progressives' desire to robustly address economic and social inequality." The Niskanen Center's reputation as a chisel to peel conservative voters away from the Republican Party has diminished along with the rest of the eco-Right (and climate fearmongering in general). Jerry Taylor himself left Niskanen in 2021 amid police reports that he'd drunkenly strangled and slapped his wife, to which he pleaded guilty. But at its peak the center was a vital hub for connecting Kristol and others who would become the masters of Never Trump Inc.

Besides Kristol and Longwell, the collection included George Conway (former husband of Kellyanne), Max Boot of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the future Lincoln Project founders Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson. Those desperate first meetings between Longwell and Kristol resulted in a trifecta of new groups launched in January 2018 under the umbrella Defending Democracy Together, which bears the delightful acronym "DDT."
Structurally, DDT consists of a 501(c)(3) "charitable" arm, which publishes The Bulwark; a 501(c)(4) arm that houses their attack group, Republicans for the Rule of Law; and the Republican Accountability PAC, variously branded "Republican Voters Against Trump" or simply "Republican Accountability." All share overlapping leadership and major donors.The Bulwark is an "educational charity." Educational charities are not supposed to engage in partisan activities. But these fine people, dedicated to preserving the rule of law, violate the law every single day.

Catherine Herridge: CIA Whistleblower Claims US Government Cover-Up of RUSSIAN Energy-Directed Weapon Causing "Havana Syndrome"
Dozens of US government officials claim symptoms including vertigo, powerful headaches, and debilitating permanent injuries from what they claim must be a directed energy weapon, fired at them by a hostile foreign power, who everyone assumes is Russia.
The US government officially denies these "anomalous health incidents" (AHIs). Specifically, the Director of National Intelligence wrote a letter stating AHIs are all in the victims' heads. I wrote about "Havana syndrome" earlier this year.John Schindler claims that "Havana Syndrome" is real, and that everyone in the Deep State knows it's real. In fact, he claims, the Deep State even knows the specifics of the "mystery weapon" Russia is using to attack the brains of its enemies[:]Catherine Herridge interviews a CIA whistleblower describing her injuries and claiming a government cover-up. Herridge calls it "government gaslighting."
I'm not going to mince words: that DNI statement is a bald-faced lie. The terrible truth is that, for many years, multiple hostile intelligence services have employed a Russian-designed and built acoustic directed energy weapon against Americans to harm and cripple them. The culprits are Russia's Federal Security Service or FSB (for attacks inside or near Russia), the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff or GRU (for attacks further afield) and Cuba's Dirección de Inteligencia or DI, a close Kremlin spy partner since the 1960s (many of the attacks in the Western Hemisphere, including inside the U.S., are the DI's handiwork). Our Intelligence Community is well aware of what the mystery weapon is and how it works. American spies have possessed fragmentary information about this clandestine Russian spy program for decades. Now, based on extensive intelligence collection and analysis, the IC has identified a half-dozen variants of this unique weapon, which was initially developed by the KGB during the late Cold War. The variants represent improvements in terms of capability, portability, and range. The top-shelf model is customarily deployed in a van and has an effective range of several hundred meters. The smallest weapon is man-portable in a backpack and is employed against close targets at a hundred meters or less. All variants produce similar symptoms and long-term medical harm. Our enemies are not concerned in the slightest about "collateral damage." Many IC victims of AHI have been struck at their residences when family members are at home. Spouses, partners, and even children have been attacked, experiencing long-term health impacts. Such attacks have occurred inside the United States too. Again, Biden's IC refuses to do anything about this. Somehow this White House is happy to provide Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars' worth of weapons and munitions, to help Kyiv defend itself against Moscow's aggression, armaments which have been used to kill thousands of Russians -- but doing anything to protect Americans from Russian attacks, even on our own soil, is unthinkable. ... It gets worse. A core component of the Top Secret conspiracy executed by Biden's IC regarding AHI is denying that anything is happening while suppressing evidence that something awful keeps happening. A few years ago, two FBI senior special agents took a vacation in Turkey with their families. Both agents had served as legal attaches abroad; known as LEGATs, these are FBI representatives stationed in U.S. embassies all over the world, coordinating investigations and information exchange with host-country law enforcement. Both LEGATs were known to Russian intelligence, and one had served at U.S. Embassy Moscow. While on holiday with their families, as they enjoyed an Anatolian beach week, they were attacked by a Russian intelligence operative, believed to be from GRU (specifically its sinister and shadowy wetwork Unit 29155, which has run amok all around the world in recent years), carrying the backpack version of the mystery weapon. The LEGATs and their families were bathed in invisible toxic waves in plain sight of dozens of bystanders. Moreover, this attack was caught on film. Turkish intelligence, known as MIT, has what can be charitably termed a frenemy relationship with American intelligence agencies, and MIT was surveilling the FBI agents, suspecting they were in Turkey on a secret mission, employing a beach holiday as cover (in fact, this was just a family vacation). MIT caught the Russian operation on video, offering a good look at exactly how GRU and others employ the backpack weapon. However, MIT refused to hand the video over when American intelligence learned of its existence and requested to see it. NSA hackers from the agency's elite Tailored Access Operations shop got down to work and stole the video by cracking into MIT classified computer networks. ... No spooks I've spoken with know what happened to that video. I strongly suspect that -- just like the Top Secret intelligence file on Iran's nuclear program displeasing to the Obama administration which I revealed here last week -- it's being analyzed by "top men" at a classified facility somewhere in the Northern Virginia suburbs, if it hasn't been somehow "misplaced" already.

The White House announced the honor in a list of 19 recipients, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and LGBTQ megadonor Tim Gill. Biden framed Soros' funding as philanthropy in service of "democracy" and "social justice." "George Soros is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations," the White House explained. "Through his network of foundations, partners and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education, and social justice." Soros, a Hungarian-American billionaire investor, has funneled more than $15.2 billion through his Open Society Foundations (now run by his son Alex), which has awarded more than 50,000 grants worldwide, according to the World Economic Forum.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre was among those who reacted to President Biden giving out Presidential Medals of Freedom on Saturday. Biden was scrutinized on social media for handing out the awards to Hillary Clinton and George Soros. Critics pointed out Clinton's handling of the war in Libya and the attack on United States government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, as well as her controversial private email server for government business, which prompted former FBI Director James Comey to say publicly that Clinton had mishandled classified information. The award to Soros, a Democratic megadonor, was slammed based on the billionaire's campaign funding of progressive district attorneys who have been soft on crime, which they say has led to crime waves in blue cities. Favre noticed as well. "What words would you use to describe the White House medals that were given out because I'm honestly speechless," he wrote on X.

George Soros and his son, Alex, have spent at least $117 million since 2016 to reshape America's justice system. They've been successful: three in 10 Americans now live under a Soros prosecutor. But the Soroses' influence doesn't end on Election Day. After Soros-backed prosecutors take office, the family's apparatus tells them what to do, documents show. The Media Research Center obtained nearly 8,000 pages of internal documents through public records laws that show how a Soros-funded group called Fair and Just Prosecution (FJP) "directed Soros prosecutors to manipulate the rule of law concerning illegal immigration, drugs, abortion, election integrity, capital punishment and laws against childhood sex changes." MRC's yearlong investigation suggests that Soros maintained influence over his chosen candidates after their elections were over. FJP had the Soros-backed attorneys sign 33 pledges to not enforce certain laws -- including election integrity measures and immigration laws -- and attend more than 50 meetings or "convenings," some of which were "mandatory." FJP pressed prosecutors to let criminals off the hook if they are black, having them pledge to "reduc[e] racial disparities in case outcomes by at least 20%." FJP's influence can be seen on some of the most high-profile Soros prosecutors. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg sought to indict former President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 protests after the group said it wanted to hold Trump "accountable." Since-ousted San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin was in contact with FJP on a daily basis. On 20 occasions, FJP sent prosecutors "templates" of press releases they should send out, as well as social media posts to "adapt." "Being a Soros prosecutor means extensive, free access to expert political consulting firms, complete with detailed polling and field-tested messaging strategies," the MRC's report found. "FJP remains in the driver seat, though, even going so far as to social media posts for its prosecutors so they can better coordinate their messaging." At the meetings, Soros prosecutors got talking points and marching orders. At one meeting, political consultants told the assembled prosecutors to frame ignoring property crime as "reprioritizing resources" to "solve more murders." The consultants cited polling that showed this messaging was more popular than simply acknowledging that prosecutors were not prosecuting lesser crimes. The Soros operation also pushed prosecutors to use mental or physical health specialists instead of police by sharing polling that showed that the idea was popular. Soros has poured the kind of money normally reserved for statewide campaigns low-profile local prosecutor races. The Hungarian billionaire generally targets primary elections in blue areas, funding radical progressives in their races against more moderate Democrats. Once in office, these "progressive prosecutors" often decline to enforce laws they find objectionable.

We are now in the heart of winter, and NOAA got it 100% backwards, with most of the country in a prolonged cold snap bringing temperatures that are well below average.

As much of America shivers under a deep freeze that is not going to break for several weeks, it’s a good time to take a look at the recent climate forecasts from the cannot-be-questioned “climate scientists” at NOAA.
They got it wrong, of course. Colossally wrong. The map below is what NOAA forecast back in October. “The science” showed that the South and East should expect a warm winter with above average temperatures.We are now in the heart of winter, and NOAA got it 100% backwards, with most of the country in a prolonged cold snap bringing temperatures that are well below average.

The central, southern and eastern United States are bracing for the coldest, most persistent frigid Arctic air in years that will come in waves and last through mid-January. Storms packing snow and ice will join in. "At this time, it looks like there will be at least three major blasts of Arctic air that will affect the Southern states," AccuWeather Meteorologist Alex DaSilva said. "The first outbreak will linger into Jan. 4, the second on Jan. 7-8 and then the third round on Jan. 11-12." Additional rounds of Arctic air may follow but be directed more toward the Midwest and Northeast.Clearly, making weather/climate predictions for more than a few weeks out is very difficult. NOAA might be entitled to some grace for this swing-and-a-miss if it wasn’t so aggressively promoting the climate apocalypse a few decades hence, and aiding the eco-communists in their quest to eliminate carbon-based freedom as the cure for the climate hoax. Of course, NOAA’s documented history of adjusting historical temperature records to create the illusion of global warming also renders any of its current “science” as assumed to be fraudulent. Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus. Actually, making long-range weather predictions is not difficult for NOAA, since there is only one forecast it is permitted to publish – warmer than average – with blood-red maps showing people suffering under life-sucking heat. To make a scientifically valid forecast that might actually show colder-than-average weather would put NOAA’s meteorologists at odds with the high priests of the climate church who have gained control of most government institutions. As recently as three weeks ago, NOAA was still clinging to its promise for a hot January. This map (h/t @BigJoeBastardi) from mid-December was NOAA’s January temperature forecast.

Trust in our government has lowered to the point that some people are suggesting that the New Orleans jihad massacre was aided and abetted, or even concocted, by the feds in order to stir up unrest as Trump prepares to return to the presidency, or to create a pretext for some other action. Some of those who are making suggestions of this kind, such as Candace Owens, just want to find some plausible way to blame Jews, or to claim that it’s all in the service of trying to get the U.S. involved in a war in the Middle East on behalf of Israel. Those types, including Owens herself, tend to downplay or deny outright the reality of Islamic jihad, preferring to see virtually all the workings of the wide world as the puppet show of the all-powerful and ever-unseen Zionists. Still, would the feds really get involved in a jihad plot to kill Americans? Sure. No one really knows for sure, except the conspirators, if there are any, whether or not the feds are involved. And jihad is real, as the news out of Africa, Asia and Europe shows daily. Still, the question must be asked: would the feds really aid and abet a jihad terror attack? Have they really become that corrupt and compromised? And the answer is: yes. Of course they would, and yes, they’re that corrupt. The evidence for this fact lies in their behavior at the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest that Pamela Geller and I organized in May, 2015.All things considered, This is not the estimable Robert Spencer going too far. A devotee of anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan secured a senior role at Black Lives Matter Grassroots to lead "special projects" for the group as it prepares to resist President-elect Donald Trump’s second term. Black Lives Matter Grassroots announced in a New Year's message to its supporters on Thursday that it hired Yonasda Lonewolf, a rapper and activist with close ties to Farrakhan, as a "special projects specialist" to help the group as it works to "claim victory over the white-supremacist systems designed to kill our people." Black Lives Matter Grassroots said in the message it would enter 2025 with "the revolutionary spirit of our Haitian forebears" and featured an image of Haitian revolutionaries in the early 1800s lynching French military officers.If all that doesn't fill you with strength and confidence, this surely will!
A report from the Philadelphia Inquirer indicates LGBTQ groups and others in liberal voting blocs are buying guns for self-defense ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration. According to the Inquirer, “The … Liberal Gun Club … has received thousands of training requests since the election, more than in all of 2023,” a quarter of which are from members of the LGBTQ community. The Socialist Rifle Association has seen a surge in memberships as well, as have the Pink Pistols.As I stated last week, If Donald Trump could deport only one criminal illegal alien, it should be George Soros. (Being an admitted Nazi collaborator should automatically invalidate his citizenship). His ill-gotten billions have funded much of the destruction of America over the past several decades. Indeed, his oft-stated goal has been the dismantling of America as founded and indeed every other Judeo-Christian western government. At the very least, his activities in funding subversive and violent groups should be the focus of the biggest RICO investigation of all time, with the aim of seizing his near 25 billion in literal blood money so his degenerate spawn cannot continue his malign vision of destroying Western civilization. When that money disappears, many of the assaults on our freedom disappear just like that. Sure, there are others out there, like the Davos set but Soros is, as a US citizen (and that is an insult) within our grasp. That this depraved bastard got the medal of freedom is just Biden, and really his puppet master Obama, flipping the bird at America.
The Hungarian-born Soros, possibly the largest Democrat and progressive mega-donor in U.S. history, is a hedge-fund investor and currency speculator responsible for breaking the Bank of England in 1992. Since becoming a U.S. citizen in 1961, he has immersed himself in American politics, funding Democrat candidates and far-left prosecutors like Alvin Bragg, Larry Krasner, George Gascón, Chesa Boudin, and dozens of others who have been more concerned with social justice and persecuting Donald Trump than prosecuting violent criminals that threaten everyday Americans. His activities over the past 40 years should be closely examined and investigated by incoming Attorney General Pam Bondi.
