Below, a YouTube guy named Ian Carroll -- who seems to be no friend of Boering or Ben Shapiro -- claims he's heard rumors that the resignation is due to vague claims about Boering's "egotism." And also about overspending on his pet entertainment projects, like "The Pendragon Cycle." He claims the Daily Wire is losing money and is looking to sell out to a big firm.
Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of the Daily Wire, is stepping down from his role as co-CEO to focus on creative projects for the company, he told staff in a memo obtained by Axios on Tuesday. Why it matters: Boreing has been with the Daily Wire since its inception in 2015. He helped grow the outlet from a tiny news startup with $4.7 million in seed funding to a media giant valued north of $1 billion last year. State of play: Caleb Robinson, the company's founding CEO, will become the company's full-time CEO effective immediately. Robinson and Boreing have been co-CEOs since 2019. Robinson co-founded the company alongside Boreing and the outlet's editor emeritus Ben Shapiro. In a note to staff, Boreing said he will remain with the company in an advisory role. He will continue to host "Daily Wire Backstage," the company's monthly show featuring Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles and Andrew Klavan. He will focus full time on creative projects, including the completion of the Daily Wire's TV series "The Pendragon Cycle," in which he serves as director and executive producer.

I don't know about this show except that the first season featured Sydney Sweeney.
I also saw that the creator Mike White, who wrote School of Rock and played Ned Schneibly (the real one), is gay. I imagine he has conventional leftwing politics. So does this mean that even some of Hollywood's liberals are getting sick of woke sermonizing? That article also mentions a TikToker who the Woke Mob came for, suspecting she may have voted for Trump. The cancellation failed, and she actually gained millions of followers, including Riley Gaines. The scene described above can be viewed below:
The cultural tides have turned, if HBO's "The White Lotus" is any indication. A scene from a recent episode of the popular anthology series went viral for its sympathetic portrait of a character whose chic coastal-liberal friends abused and belittled her for -- maybe, possibly -- having voted for Donald Trump in the presidential election. Surprisingly, it was the vocal Democrats who were the obvious villains of the sequence as they bullied their friend for wrongthink. It sparked endless online commentary: Is the overbearing, reflexive leftism of the entertainment world really breaking?

A student is also filing complaints against Columbia for protecting its Hamas-promoting terrorist agent Mahmoud Khalil.
Columbia University is facing a new federal investigation over allegations from two janitors who claim they were unlawfully forced to scrub off swastikas spray-painted on campus before later being attacked and briefly trapped by an anti-Israel "mob" during the takeover of Hamilton Hall last spring. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), a federal agency tasked with enforcing civil rights laws in the workplace, has opened a probe into complaints from Lester Wilson and Mario Torres, who were forced to fight their way out of Hamilton Hall nearly a year ago, The Post has confirmed. Both men are making claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, alleging that they faced retaliatory harassment at the institution for "reporting antisemitic and racist conduct." ... Wilson and Torres, who had worked at the school for over five years, were both left injured as well as traumatized from the scourge of anti-Israel unrest that engulfed the Ivy League school and have since been unable to return to work as a result, according to the complaints they filed last October. "Hours after President [Minouche] Shafik issued her statement [that the university had become 'unsafe for everyone'], an antisemitic mob assaulted two janitors inside Columbia's historic Hamilton Hall, calling them 'Jew-lovers,'" the two complaints for both men recalled of the Hamilton Hall takeover in April last year. ... It all began around November 2023, shortly after the bloody Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel sparked a war. Racist and antisemitic graffiti started to pop up, scrawled all around Hamilton Hall -- and the campus's janitors were forced to clean it up. "Mr. Wilson recognized the swastikas as symbols of white supremacy," Wilson's complaint alleges. "As an African-American man, he found the images deeply distressing. He reported them to his supervisors, who instructed him to erase the graffiti." "No matter how many times Mr. Wilson removed the swastikas, individuals kept replacing them with more." Wilson lost track of how many swastikas he had to scrub, but his colleague Torres, who is Latino, pegged it in the dozens and eventually reached a point where he had enough, his complaint said. "They were so offensive, and Columbia's inaction was so frustrating, that he eventually began throwing away chalk that had been left in the classrooms so vandals would not have anything to write with," Torres' complaint alleged. "However, Mr. Torres was reprimanded by his supervisor for doing so." Given the fact that Columbia University requires an electronic ID to gain entrance to Hamilton Hall, which is nestled on the school's Morningside Heights campus, and the fact that the building was equipped with security feeds, the two janitors felt the authorities could've tracked down the perpetrators. They had reported the deluge of antisemitic, sexually obscene and racist graffiti at Hamilton Hall to campus security and concluded there was "no reason to believe" Columbia University "investigated any of the incidents" that had been flagged. In one instance, around Dec. 6, 2023, Torres and Wilson observed masked protesters storm through Hamilton Hall chanting "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" and scrawling swastikas as well as other obscene graffiti in the building. After Wilson reported that, he was told by campus security that "the trespassers and vandals were exercising their First Amendment rights" and that "nothing could be done," per the complaint.
John Sexton reports that the Hamas-supporting rag the New York Times whitewashed Mahmoud Khalil's radicalism, but now softly admits he supports "armed resistance," which "Israel calls terrorism."
Khalil, 30, also routinely boasted in class that he headed the Students for Justice in Palestine movement at Columbia and "didn't love Jews." He was a frequent no-show to class, which centered on Israeli politics, the student recalled. And when he did attend lectures, he disrespectfully interrupted his professor, who is Israeli. "Everything about Israel was illegitimate; everything about Zionism was illegitimate because, in his mind, it's like a farce and a fallacy to think otherwise," she said. And Khalil routinely "targeted" Jewish students in a WhatsApp group chat the class shared, she added. "Once or twice a week, he would just go in [the group chat] and basically instigate crazy claims that were just very antisemitic and really inflammatory, and would get into fights with people," she said. Reading directly from the chat, she recounted, "One day a Jewish student had said, 'I'm disturbed by the normalization of the insane amount of antisemitism spewed in this chat in the last few months. Disappointed and shameful.' To that, Mahmoud said, 'Thank you. This is exactly what some are trying to do so hard in this conversation: Conflate Judaism and Zionism, so it's easier for them to shut down any criticism of the colonial, genocidal state of Israel.' The student said it was such erratic behavior that drove her to drop the class -- although she didn't dare confront him. "I just didn't want to become a target of his," she said. The student, however, anonymously filed two Title VI complaints with Columbia administrators about his antisemitic rants within the group chat -- but nothing ever came of them, she said.
...at a discussion sponsored by the coalition of student protesters, he remarked that whether Palestinian resistance was peaceful or armed, "Israel and their propaganda always find something to attack." He added, "They -- we -- have tried armed resistance, which is, again, legitimate under international law." But Israel calls it terrorism, he said...Sexton also reports that colleges -- or what were once colleges -- are realizing that they have lost the support of most of the country and the left doesn't have the power to save them.
Columbia University is just the start of a long-brewing backlash. On Monday of this week the Trump administration's Department of Education put 60 schools on notice that they will lose federal funding if they don't do more to crack down on antisemitism on campus. ... Unfortunately for many of these schools, they are only now realizing that they don't have a lot of friends to take up any slack if their budgets are cut.[NYT:] Prestigious universities have come to find adversaries in many worlds, among the working class, among rich alumni, among highly educated progressives who find them self-regarding. "Universities are good targets for resentment," said Michael Roth, the president of Wesleyan University who has written about modern campus politics. "They take such enormous pride in how many people they reject. "We at universities have not done enough over the years to pay attention to those groups -- conservative groups, religious groups -- around the country that are essential parts of a democratic culture. The isolation makes us very vulnerable."

This is sexual assault of a minor, and it needs to be prosecuted as just that.
This story is based on the claims of the violated girl's mother. However, adding to the credibility of her claims is the refusal of the school or administrators involved to comment on the claims.

These school administrators marched the girls into the locker room and stood there to make sure that they undressed. The school didn't just say "you'll lose PE credit if you don't change" They literally marched the girls into the locker room. Who do these women think they are?
MXMNews:
Middle School Staff Forced Girls to Change in Front of Trans-Identifying Boy, Mom Says
Illinois public school administrators tried to force a 13-year-old girl to change clothes in front of a biological male, in accordance with the district's "inclusive" bathroom policy that allows transgender students to use whichever locker room corresponds with their chosen gender, the mother of the girl said at a Deerfield School District 109 School Board meeting on Thursday evening. When Nicole Georgas's 13-year-old daughter came home from Shepard Middle School on February 5, she was frightened and upset: A boy had been in the girl's bathroom.
Georgas's daughter was told by Deerfield administrators that because the male student identified as a female, he could use the girl's locker room and bathroom, Georgas said. Although Georgas expressed to the school that the district was "in clear violation" of President Donald Trump's recent executive order that restricts males from participating in female sports and using female changing rooms, her daughter's teachers and principal reiterated that under direction from the district's legal counsel, the male student could use whichever bathroom corresponded to his chosen gender.
Then, Georgas said, "the situation went from bad to worse." "A few days later, the male student was present in the girls locker room. Feeling violated, the girls made the choice to not change into their PE clothes with the biological male student present," Georgas said at the meeting. Administrators then supervised the locker room to ensure that all girls were changing into their physical education clothes without protest, Georgas claimed. District 109 Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Joanna Ford, Assistant Principal Cathy Van Treese, and Director for Student Services Ginger Logemann tried to force the girls to change in front of the male student, Georgas said; when contacted, the district and administrators did not respond to National Review's requests for comment.
... According to Georgas, administrators offered to move her daughter to a different PE unit. Georgas's school board testimony was booed on Thursday evening by a large audience of transgender activists who spoke in support of the district's bathroom policy.
The controversy has drawn national attention, with critics slamming the district's actions as an egregious violation of students' rights. Former Olympian and women's rights advocate Jennifer Sey condemned the district, stating, "These school officials need to be prosecuted." Republican state Rep. Blaine Wilhour blamed Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker for emboldening "woke perverts" in the education system, citing his administration's expansion of gender ideology policies in schools.

Before getting to that: Biden low-balled the number of invaders he allowed to swarm into the country. Plot twist.
The number of illegal invaders was double what Biden claimed.Joe Biden's presidency oversaw an unprecedented surge in immigration, with new data revealing the scale of the influx. According to a recent op-ed by Jason Richwine at the Center for Immigration Studies, net international migration during Biden's tenure was far higher than originally reported, reaching 2.8 million in 2024 alone. The foreign-born population in the U.S. has now reached a historic 53.3 million, with illegal immigration driving much of the increase. In contrast, President Trump's policies have significantly reduced illegal border crossings. Key Details: The Census Bureau revised its net migration figures for 2022 and 2023 from 2 million to 4 million, with 2024 alone adding 2.8 million. The foreign-born population has hit a record 53.3 million, up from 45 million four years ago, with nearly two-thirds of the increase attributed to illegal immigration. Illegal border crossings have plummeted under President Trump, who reversed Biden-era policies such as catch and release and mass parole. Diving Deeper: Newly revised Census Bureau data has shed light on the sheer scale of immigration under former President Joe Biden. As Jason Richwine writes in his March 14, 2025, op-ed for the Center for Immigration Studies, the agency initially reported net international migration for 2022 and 2023 at a combined 2 million, only to later correct the figure to a staggering 4 million. The trend continued in 2024, with an additional 2.8 million immigrants entering the country. "This is more than double the number in any single year this century prior to Biden's taking office," Richwine points out. The January release of the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey (CPS) has offered a clearer picture of immigration's impact on the nation. Richwine highlights the findings of a new report by Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler, which confirms that the foreign-born population in the U.S. has reached a record-breaking 53.3 million, up from 45 million four years ago. "The foreign-born share of the population now stands at 15.8 percent," Richwine notes, "which eclipses the highs of the Great Wave at the turn of the 20th century." This surge has accelerated decades ahead of prior projections, as the Census Bureau previously estimated that the U.S. would not reach this level of foreign-born population until 2042. A major driver of this increase was illegal immigration. "Camarota and Zeigler estimate that nearly two-thirds of the increase in the foreign-born population over the last four years was due to illegal immigration," Richwine explains. However, under President Trump, illegal border crossings have dropped dramatically. Richwine attributes this to Trump's swift action in reversing Biden's immigration policies, stating that "Trump reversed the Biden policies of catch and release and mass parole, secured better cooperation from Mexico, and empowered interior enforcement."You won't be surprised to learn that the organization funding the lawfare operation against Trump, trying to block him from deporting alien invaders, is funded by George Soros.
Below, someone asked the Fort Myers, FL, city council to authorize police cooperation with ICE in situations where they've arrested a criminal for a specific crime and then discover he's also an illegal alien. He may have mentioned that Fort Myers risks all federal funding for refusing to talk to ICE at all. The city council members responded by crying.
A network of left-wing organizations with financial ties to billionaire George Soros is backing a lawsuit aimed at halting President Donald Trump's use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal alien gang members. Key Details: The Trump administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport nearly 300 illegal alien gang members linked to MS-13 and Tren de Aragua to El Salvador**, where they will be held in a mega-prison under an agreement with President Nayib Bukele. Democracy Forward, a legal group assisting in the lawsuit, has deep ties to Soros-funded organizations, including the Center for American Progress, National Immigration Law Center, UnidosUS, and Color of Change. Despite the court order, the administration maintains that the deportations had already taken place before the ruling was issued and insists that the president has broad legal authority over foreign affairs and national security. Diving Deeper: In a decisive move to combat violent crime and illegal immigration, President Donald Trump utilized the Alien Enemies Act to deport hundreds of illegal alien gang members to El Salvador over the weekend. The effort primarily targeted MS-13 and Tren de Aragua--two international criminal organizations designated as terrorist groups by the administration. However, the policy immediately drew backlash from left-wing legal groups, leading to a lawsuit seeking to block further deportations. The ACLU and Democracy Forward filed suit on behalf of five illegal aliens currently in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, claiming the Trump administration illegally applied the Alien Enemies Act. A federal judge sided with the plaintiffs and issued an order to halt the deportations. However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed claims that the administration violated the ruling, emphasizing that the order was issued after the deportation flights had already taken off. The legal battle has exposed the deep financial connections between Soros-backed entities and groups opposing Trump's border security agenda. Democracy Forward, one of the key organizations representing the illegal aliens, has received extensive funding from the Open Society Foundation, which is chaired by Alexander Soros, the son of George Soros. The foundation has poured millions into organizations like the Center for American Progress, widely regarded as the policy arm of the Democrat Party, as well as other activist groups pushing for open borders policies. In 2023 alone, the Open Society Foundation provided nearly $4 million in grant funding to the Center for American Progress, along with millions more to the National Immigration Law Center, UnidosUS, and Common Justice--all of which are aligned with Democracy Forward. The lawsuit represents another coordinated legal assault on Trump's immigration enforcement efforts, with Soros-linked groups playing a central role in undermining the administration's push to secure the border and combat criminal organizations.

Trump knows that any Democrat would do this to himself and his family. For crying out loud, Biden refused him Secret Service protection for as long as he could when Trump was the frontrunning candidate for president. And then he took protection away from Trump to task it with protecting Jill Biden who, we can now say, is not a doctor at all.
Trump pointed out that Hunter is currently in South Africa -- a nation now on the US watch list due to its racist oppression of its white minority. What's he doing there? I can only assume he's doing what he's done all his adult life, attempting to sell political influence to a scumbag foreign country. Trump also wants to cancel Ashley Biden's protective detail.
Secret Service protection was an outrageous misuse of taxpayer money and confirmed he was pulling the plug. "Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States taxpayer," Trump wrote. "There are as many as 18 people on this detail, which is ridiculous!" He then announced: "Effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection." Trump also revealed that Ashley Biden had a taxpayer-funded security detail of 13 agents, which he deemed excessive. "Likewise, Ashley Biden, who has 13 agents, will be taken off the list," he stated. The decision comes amid mounting scrutiny over Hunter Biden's continued Secret Service protection despite not holding any official government role. Reports surfaced last week that he had been staying in a luxury $500-a-night villa in Cape Town, South Africa, while flanked by federal security--just as he skipped a scheduled court deposition. Trump made it clear that the American people should not be footing the bill for Hunter's personal travel. Trump has long pushed to limit extended Secret Service protection for non-government figures, previously revoking security for former officials such as Mike Pompeo and John Bolton. His latest move reinforces his commitment to cutting unnecessary federal spending, especially when it involves high-profile figures like Hunter Biden.Happy Tuesday, everybody. I hope that you're all having a great days and that if you're in a storm-stricken area, I hope they've got the power back on and your basements aren't overly-flooded.

Israel ends ceasefire, strikes Gaza after Hamas refuses to return hostagesTo hell with Gaza and all of its terrorists.
Israel resumed military operations against Hamas in Gaza after the terror group refused multiple hostage deal offers. At least 326 Palestinians were killed in the strikes as Israel vowed to escalate operations until all hostages are freed. Key Details: Israeli jets bombed Hamas targets after ceasefire collapsed due to Hamas' rejection of a hostage deal. Defense Minister Israel Katz warned of intensified military action if Hamas does not release hostages. The Israeli military targeted Hamas commanders and infrastructure in preemptive strikes. Hamas accused Israel of war crimes and called for international intervention. Netanyahu reaffirmed that Israel will not stop until Hamas is destroyed and all hostages return home. ... Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz justified the attacks, stating they were necessary to achieve the war's objectives. "This decision comes after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all proposals presented by U.S. President's envoy, Steve Witkoff, as well as the mediators," Katz's office wrote in a letter. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, confirmed they had begun striking Hamas targets "under the direction of the political echelon." Israeli forces launched a series of preemptive strikes aimed at mid-ranking military commanders, leadership officials, and terror infrastructure. The operation is expected to escalate beyond airstrikes and into further military action. Israeli officials said dozens of targets were chosen based on Hamas' readiness to execute future attacks. Additionally, authorities decided to keep schools in the Gaza Envelope closed due to security concerns. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office reiterated that Hamas had rejected all offers, including one mediated by Trump administration envoy Steve Witkoff. "Tonight, we returned to fighting in Gaza due to Hamas' refusal to release the hostages and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities," Katz stated. "If Hamas does not release all the hostages, the gates of hell will open in Gaza."

God is the Greatest, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse be upon the Jews, Victory to Islam
They sound nice. They are a garden variety terrorist group, but with a twist. They are closely aligned with Iran, and receive a huge amount of aid from that paragon of international cooperation. Primarily weapons, which is why this group of 7th century maniacs can threaten shipping at the Red Sea choke point south of the Suez Canal, and shoot missiles at Saudi Arabia. If it weren't for that twist of geography, the Houthis would be scrabbling in the dust like everyone else in Yemen, and we would never have heard of them. President Trump's statement
The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends. Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists' bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom. No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World.
Quite a change from the feckless triangulation of the Biden/Obama junta! And completely justified simply because they took shots at our Navy ships. That alone should be reason to destroy their ability to conduct offensive warfare. But the vast majority of the commercial ships threatened by the Houthi terrorists are not involved in American trade. Much of our shipping is across the Pacific. So why is there not a commanding presence of European navies (stop laughing!) and perhaps the Indian Navy and Australian Navy and Japanese Navy and others busily pounding the Houthi military infrastructure into dust? Hell... what about the Saudis, who love to spend their petrodollars on high-tech weaponry, but are conspicuously absent, or on the losing end of the battle when it comes to using those toys! Yeah, the Houthis have smacked the Saudis around. President Trump ran on a platform of no new wars, and a renewed focus on America. He is pursuing that platform with vigor, so why are we once again front-and-center in a fight that, while it does involve us, is best conducted by others? Of course the damage being done to the Houthis is also hurting Iran, and that is an unalloyed good thing. Iran is in difficult economic straits, with inflation running at a reported 50%, demonstrations across the country, a depreciating currency, and all of their proxies getting the snot knocked out of them! Will Iran be able to resupply them with new weapons and more cash? Probably not, especially since they are very worried about an Israeli strike on their nuclear facilities, and must rebuild their destroyed air defenses. If the long game is the destruction of the current regime in Iran, then the attacks on the Houthis make more sense. But... Europe and others still need to be involved, so at a minimum, they begin to understand that the Pax Americana that has allowed them to spend their money on themselves rather than a common defense has closed up shop. As a side note, the book is about anti-Semitism, disgustingly ironic considering the fact that despite his lineage, this self-gassing momzer, vontz, apostate has aligned himself with a party that is openly and brazenly anti-Semitic (and anti-Christian) given the events here and in Israel since October 7 2023 and the reactions of him and his party. And that is only recent history. But that said, the vitriol and venom shrieked at him from his own side is quite enjoyable, as it certainly is one indicator that he and his party are tearing themselves apart at the mere mention of the name of Donald Trump. And if a Molotov cocktail lit with a Democrat-funded (not for long!) men's room tampon fuse should set his limo on fire, or a pre-positioned George Soros brick put a new part in his hair transplants, I won't exactly shed a tear as he and his ilk brought it upon themselves. Despite what you may be reading and hearing in the Leftist Propaganda house organs, Trump's approval, both personal and most crucially agenda-wise are skyrocketing as the Democrats' have now dug their way clear through the Earth's core to the other side of the planet by continuing to embrace everything that normal Americans reject and are revolted by. Again, deliciously ironic for him to fear his own terror goon squads that were unleashed on America during the summer of love 2020 edition to destabilize the upcoming election and provide yet another smokescreen/excuse with the COVID lockdowns and evisceration of election security that helped the Dems steal that election. (And is COVID 2 Bird Flu boogaloo being prepped by the Deep State to take us and Trump down yet again?!) So as Schemer cowers in fear, he and his coven of scum, criminals, degenerates and thugs continue to go all out in support of Muslim terrorists (BIRM) and criminal illegal aliens while normal people are revolted. Yup, keep raping that chicken Chucky, all the way through to the midterms and then the 16 years of J.D. Vance and his running mate. Despite Schumer's fears, I very much doubt he'd be in favor of Kash Patel and Pam Bondi going after Antifa, BLM, ELF, Mecha, La Raza, CCAIR, Sharpton's NAN, the Black Panthers and every other official/unoffical Democrat-Leftist domestic terror organization. Personally, I think Soros' "Open Societies" funds most if not all of these bastards and needs to be RICO'd the hell out of existence and all of his assets confiscated. And how about going after the ACLU and SPLC while we're at it?! They're the ones who conspired with this hack-in-back Boasberg to block Trump's deportation of the Tren de Aragua illegal alien animals.
Donald Trump is demonstrating a skill at backing his opponents into corners that he didn’t show in his first term.
Of course, it helps that his enemies are, unaccountably, cooperating.
One of Trump’s best moves has been, repeatedly, to get the Democrats to take the “20%” side on the so-called “80/20 issues.” (To be fair, sometimes they’re more like 70/30 issues, but close enough.) One reason he’s been able to do this is that Democrats reflexively oppose anything he does.
So when Trump promises to cut spending sharply and reduce the debt, Democrats go all-in against it, even though it’s something a huge majority of Americans support.
Agitating to continue waste, fraud and abuse — especially when there are truly glaring examples of it — is a bad look. But it was just the start.
Billions for USAID: An 80/20 issue. Dems took the 20% side.
Keeping boys out of girls’ sports: Another 80/20 issue, Dems took the 20% side.
Closing the border, energy independence, supporting Israel, deporting dangerous aliens, on and on.
Trump has the Democrats jumping to defend basically every issue that a Democratic strategist of 20 years ago, or maybe even 10 years ago, would have told them to avoid like the plague.
Heck, while Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) was performatively trading in his Tesla for a gas-guzzling Tahoe SUV, Democrats’ new bete noir Elon Musk was rescuing Kelly’s fellow astronauts stranded on the International Space Station. (You can tell this dramatic space rescue is a good look for Trump and Musk and a bad one for the Democrats by the non-coverage it’s received in the mainstream media.)
As a consequence, Democrats have hit a new all-time low in approval ratings, while Trump’s approval is up, and the most Americans since 2004 say the country is on the right track.
Now Trump is drawing out the nation’s partisan district judges, causing them to overextend themselves in ways that will cost them — and the judiciary itself — a lot.
Lower-level federal judges have been issuing orders against the administration, purporting to block Trump-ordered spending cuts, halt layoffs of government employees and more.
In the latest incident, Chief Judge James Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Saturday tried to block Trump’s deportation of more than 250 illegal aliens tied to the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, a federally designated foreign terrorist organization.
Trump was relying on the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, a venerable statute that allows the president to order the deportation of “alien enemies” in times of war, invasion, incursion or threat thereof.
Trump’s deportation order declared that Tren de Aragua members were specifically exported here by the hostile Venezuelan government, as he placed them on airplanes and sent them to points south.
Though the law dates back to the 18th century, it has been employed regularly in modern times. A 1948 Supreme Court case, Ludecke v. Watkins, interpreted presidential authority under the law very broadly, holding that it precluded judicial review of the removals.
Judge Boasberg is obviously inclined to disagree.
Boasberg’s ruling is part of a wide-ranging legal resistance effort, mostly organized by various left-leaning legal groups that engage in “judge shopping” to get anti-Trump decisions out of friendly district jurists.
But in doing so, they, like the Democrats, may be playing into Trump’s hands.
Elsewhere, Israel seems to have had enough, vis a vis trading live terrorists for dead mutilated Jews. And Trump also seems to be signaling, with his retaliatory attacks on the Houthis as a warning to Iran. It might also be a green light for Bibi to strike at them before they can go nuclear. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day.

Evan Feinman resigned and fled the building in the middle of a spittle-flecked rant about the horrors of Elon Musk and the damage cheap, fast, reliable internet will cause to rural communities.
Under the Biden administration, Feinman was the senior official in charge of a $42.5 billion nationwide rural broadband fund that connected - I am not making this up - precisely zero people.

What are we going to do about the Baby Hippo Crisis?

Homeland SecurityThe NYT:
@DHSgov Last month, Rasha Alawieh traveled to Beirut, Lebanon, to attend the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah-- a brutal terrorist who led Hezbollah, responsible for killing hundreds of Americans over a four-decade terror spree. Alawieh openly admitted to this to CBP officers, as well as her support of Nasrallah. A visa is a privilege not a right--glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be denied. This is commonsense security.
The Department of Homeland Security said on Monday that it had deported a Brown University professor and doctor with a valid visa because they said she attended a Hezbollah leader's funeral in February during a trip to Lebanon. When questioned by Customs and Border Protection officers upon her return to the United States, Dr. Rasha Alawieh, who is Lebanese, "openly admitted" her support for the leader, Hassan Nasrallah, according to a Homeland Security spokeswoman. Dr. Alawieh was detained at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday. "A visa is a privilege not a right," the spokeswoman, Tricia McLaughlin, said in a statement to The New York Times. "Glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be denied. This is common-sense security." The department did not say how it knew that Dr. Alawieh had attended the funeral, which was held in a sports stadium and attracted tens of thousands of people. It also did not respond to questions about whether Dr. Alawieh has been accused of a crime or immigration violation. ... Late on Sunday, a team of lawyers from the firm of Arnold & Porter, who had been set to represent the family, withdrew from the case, telling the court their decision was made "as a result of further diligence." The federal judge overseeing the case decided to postpone a hearing in the case on Monday after Ms. Marzouk requested more time to prepare. She represents Dr. Alawieh's cousin, Yara Chehab, who brought the case first to try to stop the government from deporting Dr. Alawieh, and then to seek her return to the United States.
Whoopi Goldberg is sad that her terrorist and rapist illegal alien pals are afraid of being deported.
President Donald Trump's administration deported over 200 of gang members part of Venezuela's Tren de Aragua and several members of MS-13 to El Salvador and Honduras on Saturday, which sparked backlash as a judge issued a last-minute order attempting to block the deportations. Goldberg warned that the Trump administration could randomly choose any American to be deported to a country they are not familiar with, though that would be a blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution. "If they can just come up and take somebody because they've made a decision that you're supposed to be that person, anyone of us could find ourselves being deported to some country we've never been," Goldberg said. "Well you know, it is very clear to me that if we don't continue to say, listen, I understand you want to clean out all the bad stuff, I get it. But why do you now have access to my personal information? I get the things you're trying to do, I don't get why you're taking my stuff, not just me personally, but every single one of you and your constitutional right of free speech."
Bonus: A judge hit large-cootered donut wagon Fani Willis with a big fine for hiding subpoenaed documents about her affair with Sweetdick.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been slapped with a $54,000 penalty for blatantly violating Georgia's open records laws in her politically motivated prosecution of President Donald Trump. "The county's Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause formalized her ruling Friday and ordered Willis to pay $54,264 in attorneys' fees and litigation costs after 'intentionally' failing to provide records requested by Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney who filed the motion to disqualify Willis from prosecuting Trump on charges of allegedly interfering with the 2020 presidential election," reports Fox News Digital.
Krause stated that Willis' office failed to provide documents related to the employment of Nathan Wade, the former special assistant district attorney forced to resign from the Trump case due to his romantic relationship with Willis. Merchant believed that Willis and Wade may have financially benefited from Wade's appointment as the special prosecutor in the case. "Defendants -- through the Open Records custodian, Dexter Bond -- were openly hostile to counsel for Plaintiff, Ms. Merchant, and testified that Ms. Merchant's requests were handled differently than other requests," the court order said.

A new NBC poll shows Trump with the highest approval ever and a party almost completely united behind him.
Check out how they spin that finding:How will Trump handle the "challenge" of record popularity?
Poll: Trump faces early challenges on the economy as a united GOP backs big change
A new NBC News poll shows Trump with a job approval rating as high as he's ever had. But doubts loom in voters' minds, especially over the economy and government cuts.
So what they're trying to avoid stating clearly is that voters had had a terrible impression of the economy and the nation's direction under Biden, and now, under Trump, they are much more positive about the economy and the direction of the country. NBC wants to emphasize that the public still has doubts -- not that the public's mood has shifted much more positive than it had been.
Voters are starting 2025 sour on the state of the economy and President Donald Trump's handling of it so far, even as his election to a second term sparked an upswing in positive feelings about the direction of the nation, according to a new national NBC News poll.
Buoyed by jubilant and unified Republicans, who are standing in lockstep with Trump and the expansive agenda he and congressional leaders are pushing in Washington, more registered voters see the U.S. as heading in the right direction than at any point since early 2004, though a majority still say the country is on the wrong track. Trump's approval rating also equals his best-ever mark as president (47%), though again, a majority (51%) disapproves of his performance.Remember, this is a #Rigged NBC poll of the NPR editors and fading celebrities with multiple transgender children. The numbers may be a touch off.
The liberal media rule is that if any liberal is unsatisfied with a Republican, the public is "deeply divided." Biden, on the other hand, was popular, until the media pressured him to drop out.
Meanwhile, driven in part by a pessimistic shift among Democrats since Trump's election, just 18% of voters rate the economy as "excellent" or "good" -- not as low as the poorest economic marks during the Biden administration, according to CNBC polling from 2022, but within a handful of points and as low as that mark has been in NBC News polling since 2014. Majorities of voters disapprove of Trump's early job performance on the economy (54% disapprove, 44% approve) and how he's handling inflation and the cost of living (55% disapprove, 42% approve). ... Overall, the poll reflects an America that remains deeply divided in the months following Trump's 2024 victory, as it was in the months before.
... In another change from Trump's first term in the White House, the public has come around on his deportation-focused immigration policies, though voters are wary of his handling of other issues, including foreign policy. Voters like the general idea of the Department of Government Efficiency, the Trump-blessed effort to slash government jobs and spending. But they harbor reservations about its rapid-fire execution so far, as well as about billionaire Trump adviser Elon Musk, DOGE's de facto head. And voters are split evenly on which party they'd like to see win the 2026 midterm elections, even as the Democratic Party faces record-low popularity and fractious divides over how to respond to Trump. (The survey was conducted March 7-11, before Senate Democrats provided a handful of votes to help resolve a government funding fight.) "While this survey shows a mixed result for Donald Trump, Democrats are the ones in the wilderness right now," said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies. Horwitt called Trump's upside-down numbers among independents "a flashing red light across the survey." ... Trump's job approval rating (47%) and personal favorable rating (46%), along with the 44% who believe the country is on the right track, are at all-time highs in NBC News polling during his political career. But they are also far below where previous presidents stood during the "honeymoon period" of new administrations, marking the polarization that has defined the Trump years. Slightly more disapprove of Trump's job performance (51%) and view him personally negatively (49%), and 54% see the country as on the wrong track.Yes, because the Demented Usurprer Biden drove the country into a ditch and it's taking time to get ourselves out of it.
... When it comes to the issues, Trump fares particularly well on immigration. Fifty-five percent of voters approve of his handling of border security and immigration, while 43% disapprove. A similar share, 56%, say he's bringing the "right kind of change" on the issue, while 25% say he's bringing the wrong change and 18% say he isn't bringing change. But that's the only one of the five issues tested in the poll -- border security and immigration, foreign policy, the economy, inflation and cost of living, and the war between Russia and Ukraine -- that sees a majority of American voters approve of how Trump is handling it. ... Just 1% rate the economy as "excellent" and 17% as "good," with 39% calling it "only fair" and 43% rating it "poor." While Republicans are more likely to have favorable views of the economy than others, majorities across virtually every demographic still view the economy in an unfavorable light. ... The NBC News poll also gauged voters' feelings on what kind of change Trump is bringing as president, with 40% saying he's bringing the right kind of change to inflation and the cost of living, while 30% say he's bringing the wrong change and 28% say he isn't bringing change. On trade and tariffs, 41% say he's bringing the right change, 38% say the wrong change and 18% say he is not bringing change. Overall, 46% said Trump is bringing the right kind of change, 30% said he's bringing the wrong kind of change, and 21% said he's not bringing change.A CNN poll finds that the Democrat Party is more unpopular than it has ever been in their polling history.
Democrats view their own party unfavorably:
The Democratic Party's favorability rating among Americans stands at a record low, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, fueled in part by dimming views from its own frustrated supporters. With many in the party saying publicly that their leaders should do more to stand up to President Donald Trump, Democrats and Democratic-aligned independents say, 57% to 42%, that Democrats should mainly work to stop the Republican agenda, rather than working with the GOP majority to get some Democratic ideas into legislation. The survey was taken March 6-9, days before 10 Democratic senators -- including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer -- voted with Republicans in the chamber to advance a GOP-authored spending bill to avert a government shutdown, much to the chagrin of many other Democratic lawmakers and progressive critics.
... Democratic-aligned adults say, 52% to 48%, that the leadership of the Democratic Party is currently taking the party in the wrong direction. That's another shift from eight years ago, when views on this metric were largely positive. Among the American public overall, the Democratic Party's favorability rating stands at just 29% -- a record low in CNN's polling dating back to 1992 and a drop of 20 points since January 2021, when Trump exited his first term under the shadow of the January 6 attack at on Capitol. The Republican Party's rating currently stands at 36%. That's driven in part by relatively high levels of dissatisfaction within the Democratic Party. Just 63% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents report a favorable view of their own party, a dip from 72% in January and 81% at the start of President Joe Biden's administration. The decline comes across ideological wings, with favorability ratings for the Democratic Party falling by 18 points among liberals and moderates alike since the start of 2021.The public no longer believes the Democrat Party is "mainstream."
Democrats don't like any of their possible candidates:
... Both the Democratic and the Republican parties are viewed by about half the public as having views and policies that are too extreme, rather than generally mainstream. That's a change from 2022, when most Americans -- 56% -- called the Democratic Party's positions mainstream. Views of the GOP have remained effectively unchanged over that time.
Democrats are particularly angry at Cuck Schumer for suggesting he was going to fight the CR before cucking out like a closet cuck. They're so angry, in fact, that Schumer has cancelled his book tour -- he's afraid of protests and difficult questions, but is also, he says, afraid that some of his leftwing supporters might try to physically attack him.
Democrats, who overwhelmingly consider Trump too extreme, have yet to consolidate around any one-party leader to serve as a counterpoint. Asked in an open-ended question to name the Democratic leader they feel "best reflects the core values" of the party, 10% of Democratic-aligned adults name New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 9% former vice president Kamala Harris, 8% Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and 6% House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Another 4% each name former president Barack Obama and Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, with Schumer joining a handful of others at 2%. More than 30% didn't offer a name in response. "No one," one respondent answered. "That's the problem."
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has canceled book tour events this week because of security concerns amid a backlash over his support for a Republican bill to prevent a government shutdown last week.As a commenter said, he must be afraid of all those White Supremacists angry at him for not being more opposed to Trump.
... Event pages for several of the planned stops for Schumer's book, Antisemitism in America: A Warning, which is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, showed postponement announcements on Monday morning. "Sen. Schumer's book tour events during the week of March 17 are being postponed for security reasons. We will work to reschedule this event at a later date," reads the page for an event planned to be held Wednesday at Sixth & I, a synagogue in Washington, D.C. There were calls to protest his speeches following his vote on the funding bill, which is also known as a continuing resolution (CR). "PROTEST SCHUMER'S BOOK TOUR NEXT WEEK," Emma Vigeland, co-host of the left-leaning show The Majority Report, posted to X, formerly Twitter, on Friday while also sharing a list of events planned for this week. Backlash against Schumer continued into Monday, as he faced growing calls from the party to step down as the Democratic Senate leader. An online petition of Democrats who would withhold party donations until he steps down had been signed nearly 25,000 times.

MSNBC deserves Joy Reid (and she deserves MSNBC).
The story goes that she conspired with other leftwing lunatic hosts Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, and Nicole Wallace to stage an internal coup and stop the network from attempting to "moderate." (There is no evidence it is doing so.) Is MSNBC racist for firing the black conspirator while keeping the white conspirators? Of course it is. #MSNBCSoWhiteEXCLUSIVE: Dumped Host Joy Reid Set to 'Scream Bloody Murder' Over Being Axed from MSNBC -- 'She Knows Where the Bodies are Buried and Is Getting Set to Torch Network to Ground!'So she's making threats, or her lawyer is making threats, to try to extract an outsized payoff. Don LeMon pulled the same scam. So did Chris Cuomo. More from the Daily Mail: Cashew-headed conspiracy queen Rachel Maddow has burned bridges with MSNBC, too. And her ratings have plunged. Wrong time to call out the executives.
Joy Reid, axed from MSNBC, is reportedly preparing to reveal network secrets and cause turmoil. An unrepentant Joy Reid is set to scream bloody murder and seek vengeance against MSNBC for canceling her show, The ReidOut, and unceremoniously kicking her out the door, RadarOnline.com can reveal. The 56-year-old anchor, who had been with MSNBC for over a decade, is said to be furious over what she sees as a backstabbing betrayal from the very network she helped build.
An MSNBC insider said: "She's livid, and she knows everything. She's ready to burn the house down." According to sources, Reid signed her own death warrant by holding an internal summit with other anchors, including Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell and Nicolle Wallace, to unite in battle against the network's new strategy to be less left-wing biased. ... Now, sources said she's looking to roast those she believes betrayed her. The insider warned: "MSNBC wants her to sign an NDA, but that's not going to happen. If they think they are going to silence her, they better think again."
Rachel Maddow's rant at MSNBC bosses backfires spectacularly as her ratings slump
Rachel Maddow's rant at MSNBC bosses appears to have backfired spectacularly as five million viewers fled the news program in a massive 22 per cent ratings slump. The Rachel Maddow Show dropped from 2.3 million viewers to 1.8 million viewers since the election of President Donald Trump won the election. The star did even worse with younger viewers aged 25-54, losing 29 percent - or almost one third - of the group advertisers care about most, as reported by Fox News. She lost a quarter of her audience, or 24 percent, in the first two months of 2025 compared to the same time last year - showing viewers are tuning out now that Joe Biden is no longer president. Despite the overall decline, Maddow's show still managed to win its time slot last Friday and most nights last week, only losing out on Tuesday when President Trump delivered his address to the joint session of Congress. This ratings disaster comes after Maddow had an angry meltdown with network bosses over the ousting of Joy Reid and other 'non-white' hosts. The $25 million a year host erupted at MSNBC's new boss Rebecca Kutler live on air, saying it was 'disturbing' that 'non-white hosts in primetime were losing their shows.' Katie Phang, who is Asian American and Jonathan Capehart, who is black, lost their primetime shows too. Both will remain at the network, but in less high-profile roles. Influential media newsletter Puck highlighted how Maddow's own enormous salary could help expand MSNBC's ranks considerably. The network is laying off 125 producers- many of whom work on Maddow's show - but will rehire 110 of them. Her program, The Rachel Maddow Show, typically reaches around 2.1 million viewers a night. Maddow struck a $25 million a year deal which only saw her required to host one show a week, on Monday night. She agreed to take a $5 million pay cut last year, lowering her massive salary from $30 million to $25 million - which would still equal to the combined earnings of at least 250 production staff who make each of her evening shows possible. She agreed to cover the first 100 days of the Trump presidency after he won his second term in office and will return to her one shift a week role in April.
