Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Margot Cleveland: Memo Reveals Left-Wing Judges Scheming to Thwart Trump's AgendaAt The Federalist: Democrat judges openly proclaim their hostility to Trump and their determination to protect the country from the president that voters elected making the policy choices he told them he would make. Federal judge James Boasberg advised Chief Justice John Roberts and some two dozen other judges that his D.C. colleagues were "concern[ed] that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis," according to a memorandum obtained exclusively by The Federalist. That Judge Boasberg and his fellow D.C. District Court judges would discuss how a named Defendant in numerous pending lawsuits might respond to an adverse ruling is shocking. Equally outrageous is those judges' clear disregard for the presumption of regularity -- a presumption that requires a court to presume public officials properly discharged their official duties. During the week of March 11, 2025, members of the Judicial Conference met in Washington, D.C., for the first of its two regular meetings. As the U.S. Court's webpage explains, "[t]he Judicial Conference of the United States is the national policymaking body for the federal courts." The Judicial Conference consists of Chief Justice Roberts, who presides over the body, as well as the chief judge of each judicial circuit, the chief judge of the Court of International Trade, and one district judge from each regional circuit, making for a group of approximately thirty judges. While the Judicial Conference mainstay is considering "administrative and policy issues affecting the federal court system," and "mak[ing] recommendations to Congress concerning legislation involving the Judicial Branch," a side conversation at the group's most recent meeting revealed a disturbing detail -- the predisposition of supposedly unbiased judges against the Trump Administration. In a memorandum obtained exclusively by The Federalist, a member of the Judicial Conference summarized the March meeting, including a "working breakfast" at which Justice Roberts spoke. According to the memorandum, "District of the District of Columbia Chief Judge James Boasberg next raised his colleagues' concerns that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis." ... Judge Boasberg's comments reveal he and his colleagues hold an anti-Trump bias, for the Trump Administration had complied with every court order to date (and since for that matter). The D.C. District Court judges' "concern" also went counter to the normal presumption courts hold -- one that presumes public officials properly discharged their official duties. Apparently, that presumption does not apply to the current president, at least if you are litigating in D.C. And what is both troubling and ironic is that only a few days later, Judge Boasberg, in a case in which he completely lacked jurisdiction, as the Supreme Court would later confirm, entered a lawless order commanding the Trump Administration to halt removals to El Salvador. So, one of the judges concerned about Trump following the law, ignored the law. Nonetheless, Judge Boasberg would later find "the Trump Administration committed criminal contempt of court" by failing to turn the planes around or fly the gang members back to the U.S., even though the court's written (and unlawful) injunction ordered neither.Could it possibly be? Could we be living in the Bad Timeline in which partisan, tyrannical judges seek to overturn the mandate of the voters? Could the Time Witches be right? Yes, the Time Witches be right. That's exactly what's happened, reports Fox News. This article runs with a picture. The caption reads: FALSE. There are at least two timelines we're aware of, thanks to the work of dedicated palm-reading nurses who get "drops" from "Spirit."

1 People have more leisure time and fewer kids, so they have time to spend getting crazier.
The same technology that lets sane people do research in minutes that would take multiple library trips over several days in the past allows boring and somewhat off-kilter people to deal with their woes by going deeper into their delusions. The Tech update every morning is full of stories of "AI" making crazy people even crazier. If you are a Democrat, having more crazy people around is good for 'business'. It isn't troubling and ironic. Boasberg and the coup plotters used the conference to float the idea of injunctions and Roberts either waffled, or was in some sort of agreement. So the coup was kicked off a few days later.
Roberts then either waffled again on shutting them down, or Alito and Thomas pulled a knife on him to get him on side, at least a little. So Roberts is now hoping the rebels will go and quit disturbing things. Posted by: Oldcat at July 21, 2025 05:45 PM (8avO+) 37

Unless you are doing it in the tank at sea world, then you do not have the visual deterence factor.
You are not counting the secondary effects. If Boasberg were to just disappear, at best you have a missing person's case. If the body is seen DRT, then you get investigations, and you can bet for the sake of optics that the Trump Administration would do everything possible to find the perp. If another "judge" were to then disappear, and then another, no traces, no clues, no MO, no motive, no ransoms, just gone. My favorite little scheme from Trump's first term is when he deregulated a significant number of regulations thrown up by the EPA in the previous administration (I think one was that dust is air pollution).
Anyway, the holdovers at the EPA didn't like it, so they tailored their grant program to entities that would sue to keep the regulations in place. In essence...duly elected president rightfully deregulates. Partisan Agency doesn't agree, but still has to comply. Posted by: torabora at July 21, 2025 06:04 PM (273sz) all the freedmen were emancipated, that's what the word means. But being a freedman gave your family rights in the next generation. They were Roman citizens and could vote in higher tiers of the citizen rolls if they qualified by wealth. This is why a lot of Greek scholars became slaves to a Roman family to teach the children. It was like a long term contract rather than what we think of as slavery. And at the end the result was citizenship. As noted by Margot, it's hard to explain to non-lawyers just how big a breach of norms, policy and practices it is for the judiciary to assume Trump is acting in bad faith.
I mean, it's not just an extension of "innocent until proven guilty," there's actual caselaw, long and varied, that restates the presumption that the government's motives are to be assumed to be valid in some way; even if others ascribe ill motives. A presumption that, like all presumptions, is very difficult to overcome. Except Trump. With Trump it's "guilty until proven innocent and we're going to rule against him just to safe that he didn't deceive us to make us think he was innocent." There are 165(!) orders currently against Trump. Several of them are solely based on "findings" he acted with malice, bias or ill will. All of that is flat illegal and without precedent. The Judicial branch of our Federal Government has evolved into star chamber, lacking any accountability to We The People. Why aren't any of them called for sit-down on any of the weekend news shows? Other than occasional appearances in front of a small convention or university commencement, they never face any real scrutiny of their edicts.
My spur-of-the-moment proposal to start addressing this is compelling the Chief Justice to write a quarterly OpEd on the Supreme Court's website, reviewing the previous year's cases. Throw in a yearly press conference. I'm open to other suggestions, but these two would break the current image of judges as an elite class of individuals who somehow progressed beyond common human biases and frailties... I was thinking of the Alternate Timeline women - and of course this whole line of thought is ridiculous because it depends on at least one of them being decent looking, and we know in this timeline that's impossible; But just suppose you know one that was. Then your pitch is obviously "hey baby, we're stuck here in a bad timeline that's gonna end soon, so why don't we head to the bedroom and you strip off all your clothes? It doesn't really matter what you do here, does it?

Except Trump.
With Trump it's "guilty until proven innocent and we're going to rule against him just to safe that he didn't deceive us to make us think he was innocent." There are 165(!) orders currently against Trump. Several of them are solely based on "findings" he acted with malice, bias or ill will. All of that is flat illegal and without precedent. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at July 21, 2025 06:20 PM (uEVfM) In the SF novel "Space Viking" the main character, after critiquing the planetary government he just helped save from a Hitler like coup backed by his nemesis, comments on the problem of the elites pretending that the barbarian underclass was just as able to rule as they were and losing credibility. He then contrasts it with the governments of his home worlds he left behind and says the elites are the barbarians there. Not one of them cares about anything besides himself and his own desires of the moment. That's what is the issue with the new 'elites' and the judges running coups. Just so everyone knows, I am calling dibbs on the Time Witches. Casting will be difficult. At this stage, I envision Meryl Streep at the premier and at select theaters across the country standing in the lobby and announcing with teary eyes that she is not in the film with an apology to all who have been forced to see her previous cinematic efforts. I see, maybe, Martin Short as one of the Time Witches. It is a work in progress.

I pine for the days when witches tried to poison the fairest of them all with doctored apples, chased Bugs Bunny around with hair pins flying, stood around a hot cauldron all day creating magic with eye of newt and hair of bat, twitched their noses while wearing groovy '60's attire while their witch moms tormented a guy named "Derwood".

Greetings alternate and inferior timeline citizens! I bring you news from reality prime where on May 27th 2016 Steven Seagal fell into a primate enclosure and was devoured whole by the hero we now call Herombe. Society, free from the shackles of Steven Seagalization entered a period of lasting worldwide peace and prosperity. Then alien civilizations, now that there was no Seagal repulsing them, presented us with wonderful marvels of science (except robot cat girls which Elon Musk created because there was no need for rockets at that point). Anyway, don't know why I'm telling you this, you can't change anything, just bragging I guess. Got to get back and feed my robot cat girl. Later!
