Fox "News" affirming my gender choice to cancel cable and identify as a Non-Fox-Viewer:

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin isn't sugar-coating his party's problems.

"We do have a brand problem," the DNC chair said in a recent Fox News Digital interview.

Claiming the Democrats have a "brand problem" or a "messaging problem" is "sugar-coating" the problem, Fox "News." They have a policy and results problem, not a messaging problem.

Fox News continues to disappoint. They continue to be useless liberals playing conservative dress-up.

And in what's starting to sound like a broken record, the Democratic Party hit another historic low in a national poll this past weekend.

Only a third of those questioned in a Wall Street Journal survey said they held a favorable view of the party, with 63% holding an unfavorable opinion of the Democrats.

That's the highest unfavorable rating for the party in a Wall Street Journal poll dating back 35 years.

While the favorable ratings for President Donald Trump (45%-52%) and the Republican Party (43%-54%) in the poll were nothing to brag about, they weren't as deeply underwater as the Democrats' favorability.

"The Democratic brand is so bad that they don't have the credibility to be a critic of Trump or the Republican Party," said longtime Democrat pollster John Anzalone, who conducts Wall Street Journal polling along with veteran Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio.

The Wall Street Journal survey, which was conducted July 16-20, is the latest this month to indicate the plunge in Democratic Party polling.

Just 28% of Americans viewed the party favorably, according to a CNN poll conducted July 10-13. That's the lowest mark for Democrats in the entire history of CNN polling, going back over 30 years.

And just 19% of voters questioned in a Quinnipiac University national poll in the field July 10-14 gave Democrats in Congress a thumbs up on how they're handling their duties, with 72% disapproving.

That's an all-time low since Quinnipiac University first began asking congressional approval questions in their surveys 16 years ago.

Fox "News" once again spins for liberals:

But there is a silver lining in the poll for Democrats.

By a 46%-43% margin, voters questioned in the survey said they would back a Democrat for Congress over a Republican.

In Wall Street Journal polling eight years ago, Democrats held an eight-point advantage, a year ahead of a blue wave that swept the party back into power as they grabbed the House majority in the 2018 midterms during the first Trump administration.

In other words, they had an 8 point lead in 2018 and only a within-the-margin-of-error three point lead now. How is that a silver lining?

CNN's poll analyst Harry Enten reviewed similar polling a couple of weeks ago and does not agree this is a "silver lining" at all.

So CNN is less of a partisan Democrat cheerleader than Fox "News."

In other bit of good news for Democrats, this time from bitter NeverTrump low-T failure Chris Stirewalt, Democrats have regained their lead among young voters.

The good news for Democrats in the latest comprehensive survey of Americans' partisan identities is that among young voters, the party has regained a lead, a 6-point advantage among those ages 18 to 29.

The bad news: Four years ago, the advantage was 32 points.

So much good news for the Democrats!

I saw people claiming that Gen Z males were now the most Republican demographic in the country.

That's not right, because Gen X edged them out. But Gen Z males are nearly as Republican now:

America has been getting more Republican, something you didn't need an exhaustive survey of 5,022 adults to tell you. In 2020, 49 percent of Americans identified as Democrats, compared to 43 percent of Republicans. The next year, in the wake of the Jan. 6 sacking of the Capitol and Donald Trump's effort to overturn the election results, Democrats widened their advantage to 10 points, 52 percent to 42 percent. But since then, it's been a steady retreat for the blue team.

By 2024, Republicans actually enjoyed a 1-point advantage, 47 percent to 46 percent, a nearly perfect indicator of the results of the presidential election that fall.

Now that the dust has settled, we find the parties in pretty much the same position, with Republicans holding that same 1-point advantage, but both parties a tick lower, 46 percent Republicans, 45 percent Democratic and 8 percent declaring themselves pure independents.

Even bitter left-wingers are at least acknowledging the country is shifting to the right.

Chris Matthews, who infamously felt a "thrill up his leg" just thinking about Obama (who himself "made love to men, but only in my fantasies"), notes that the nation is trending to the right, largely because of Trump's "strength."

Cincinnati "Brawl" -- The Media Is Now Calling the Street Lynching of a Defenseless Man by a Group of Violent Thugs a "Brawl" -- Goes Viral, and Forces the Leftwing City Government to Pretend to Care About Anti-White Violence

Fox "News," of course, goes along with the "brawl" psyop.

It's a brawl, guys. When one guy is on the ground getting pummeled by a crowd, that's just a fight between equals. Just some guys having a little scuffle, is all.

And when a middle-aged woman attempts to step in and shield him from the mob's vicious beating, and gets sucker-punched by a black guy and will probably have brain damage for life, that's just more "brawling."

Update: Boss Moss says, per Megyn Kelly, both victims of the lynching are expected to recover. We'll see.

Police in Cincinnati are investigating a viral video that shows what appears to be a violent brawl in the downtown section of the city.

It does not appear to be a "brawl." It appears to be a racial lynching which occurred on the street to the apparent delight of the locals.

I thought racial lynchings were wrong. Has that changed? If so, put out a memo letting us all know.

The fight happened on Friday night, between Elm and Fourth Streets, according to FOX 19 in Cincinnati. Several videos of the fight have made the rounds on social media.

A man in a white t-shirt appears to be shoved to the ground by two other men and mercilessly beaten. The video then shows others in the crowd, women included, joining in on the beating. The man's head appears to be stomped multiple times.

Just a run-of-the-mill boisterous "brawl."

The man continued to be battered for about 50 seconds before he was helped back onto his feet.

But he immediately took a step and fell back down. Several people responded to help the man back up, and one man could be heard saying, "My man's drunk."

A woman then appears to rush to the man's aid, but she is then attacked by the crowd. She suffers two brutal blows to the face, which send her slamming down on the pavement. She appears to be knocked unconscious after her head hits the pavement.

It is unclear who the initial aggressors were. The man and woman seen being beaten in the video are White, and the large crowd that targets the pair is made up largely of Black assailants. The identity and condition of the man and woman in the video are unknown.

I have a theory: If the races were reversed and a crowd of people were kicking and beating a black man to death, and then putting a black women into a coma, we wouldn't be talking about who the "initial aggressors" were. We'd be talking about hate-crime charges and charges for attempted murder.

Even if this guy mouthed off to one of this crowd of racial lynchers, you don't get to beat someone into a brain-damaged state because they "disrespected you."

Again, if this rule has been changed, let us all know. Because many of us put up with similar "disrespect" and if we're allowed to attempt to murder people for disrespecting us, well, some of us may be inclined to take you up on that offer.

Cincinnati Chief of Police Teresa Theetge told Fox News Digital she was disgusted by the brawl.

Oh, there was a "verbal altercation" so of course the black guys are justified in lynching the white guy. I forgot.

Again, I have to ask: if this is the rule, that's the rule for white guys who feel disrespected after a "verbal altercation" too, right?

Ghislaine Maxwell: I Will Testify Before Congress But Only If I'm Granted Immunity

I assume she means immunity for anything she tells Congress, not immunity for the crimes she's already been convicted and sentenced for.

But who knows.

Ghislaine Maxwell will plead the Fifth Amendment in response to a congressional subpoena to testify about deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein -- unless several demands are met, according to a Tuesday letter from her attorney obtained by The Post.

Defense lawyer David Oscar Markus told the Republican-led House Oversight Committee that his client's statements under oath "could compromise her constitutional rights, prejudice her legal claims, and potentially taint a future jury pool."

"Accordingly, our initial reaction was that Ms. Maxwell would invoke her Fifth Amendment rights and decline to testify at this time," Markus wrote to Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.).

"However, after further reflection, we would like to find a way to cooperate with Congress if a fair and safe path forward can be established."

The demands listed in the letter include two items that Markus deemed non-negotiable: a grant of immunity for Maxwell, and testifying outside the Florida federal prison where she's been serving a 20-year sentence since 2022 for conspiring with Epstein to abuse young girls.

Before that, she had spent nearly two years in a Brooklyn detention facility, which her attorney called "one of the worst" prisons in the US.

The committee should also provide copies of its questions in advance, Markus said, "to identify the relevant documentation from millions of pages that could corroborate her responses."

The media is suddenly interested in the Epstein story after years of burying it -- and, in George Stephanopolous's and Katie Couric's cases, actually partying with the pervert billionaire at his New York apartment.

And attacking anyone who discussed the case as a PizzaGate Conspiracy Theorist.

J.D. Vance noted this abrupt shift in position.

Vice President JD Vance was adamant Monday that President Trump "has nothing to hide" with respect to notorious sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, while ripping into the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations for their handling of the case.

"The president has been very clear. We're not shielding anything," Vance told reporters at an event in Canton, Ohio meant to promote the newly-enacted One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

"The president has directed the attorney general to release all credible information and, frankly, to go and find additional credible information related to the Jeffrey Epstein case," added the Ohio native. "He's been incredibly transparent about that stuff. But some of that stuff takes time."

Vance echoed other top officials in stressing the need to safeguard the names of victims in any additional disclosures about Epstein, who was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell Aug. 10, 2019, while awaiting federal trial on sex trafficking charges.

Before ascending to public office, Vance suggested the government was not being transparent about the late pedophile or his purported network of associates.

Mb<"For 20 years, you had Obama and George W. Bush's Department of Justice go easy on this guy. They didn't fully investigate the case," the 40-year-old charged Monday. "They didn't show any curiosity about the case, and now Donald J. Trump is asking his Department of Justice to show full transparency."

"If you want to criticize the people who aren't showing full transparency, you ought to go after the administrations that went easy on Jeffrey Epstein, the administrations that concealed this case for 20 years, and the administrations that failed to show full transparency."

In 2007, then-Miami US Attorney Alex Acosta cut a deal with Epstein allowing him to plead guilty to Florida state charges of solicitation of prostitution and procuring a minor for prostitution. Under the plea agreement, Epstein was only confined for 13 months, spending much of that period on work release.

Acosta was named Labor Secretary by Trump at the beginning of the president's first term, but resigned in July 2019, days after Epstein's arrest by federal investigators, amid an outcry over the plea deal.

"Donald J. Trump, I'm telling you, he's got nothing to hide," Vance insisted. "His administration has got nothing to hide, and that's why he's been an advocate for full transparency in this case."

In Scotland, Trump also snapped back against the suddenly-QAnon-curious media.

Trump made the point that everyone with a functioning brain has made for years: Given that the US Department of Justice actively framed Trump for being an agent of Vladimir Putin, clearly the DOJ under Biden would have released any derogatory information about Trump contained in the Epstein files.

When a reporter pressed Trump on whether he'd been briefed on his alleged inclusion in the Epstein files, he didn't hold back. He slammed former FBI Director James Comey, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Joe Biden himself as individuals responsible for running the files. "Those files were run for four years by those people," he emphasized. "If they had anything, I assume they would've released it. Those files were run by these people; they were run by my enemy. If there was anything in there, they would've used them for the election."

Trump made clear that the files were handled by partisan operatives out to get him. "Those files were run by the worst scum on earth. They were run by Comey. They were run by Garland. They were run by Biden, and all of the people that actually ran the government, including the autopen," he said. "If they had anything, I assume they would have released it."

Pointing to the 2024 election as proof, Trump noted, "I was running against somebody that ran the files. If they had something, they would have released it."

Trump went on to warn about the potential for manipulated evidence, drawing a parallel to the now-debunked Steele dossier: "They can easily put something in the files that's a phony--like, as an example, Christopher Steele... wrote a... dossier. We call it the fake news dossier. And the whole thing was a fake."

Trump blasted the DOJ and other officials who controlled the Epstein records, calling them "bad, sick people," and questioned why, if damaging material existed, no one used it earlier. "Why didn't they use it when I was killing Joe? And then he gave out because he was 25 points down."

DOJ Shuts Down Four "Dark Web" Websites Hosting "Millions of Files" of Vile Child Exploitation Content

Why did Biden leave these websites up?

Justice Dept. shuts down dark web child abuse sites that had 120,000 members and millions of files

Arrest the members and prosecute them. Post the names of the members so that patriotic pro-child activists can have a word with these members out in the woods in the dark and silent.

When FBI agents arrived outside William Spearman's home in the quiet suburb of Madison, Alabama, in November 2022, they were prepared for danger.

Their search warrant was so important to the bureau that it was approved by the FBI director himself. When the agents breached Spearman's door with tactical explosives, Spearman fought back, tussling with the agents as three of his handguns remained barely out of reach. The FBI managed to handcuff and arrest Spearman, a high-value arrest, in what a top Justice Department official called "one of the most successful" prosecutions of its kind.

Spearman went by the nickname "Boss" and was labeled by the Justice Department as "one of the most significant" purveyors of child sex abuse material in the world. His arrest in 2022, his guilty plea a year later and his eventual life sentence were part of an unprecedented takedown of a prodigious child abuse network.

Spearman is one of at least 18 people convicted so far of leading and utilizing the dark web to share hundreds of thousands of unlawful sexually exploitative images of children. The Justice Department calls the investigation and prosecutions Operation Grayskull; it helped secure those arrests and shutter four heavily trafficked dark web sites where violent and horrific images of child sexual abuse were traded and housed.

The Operation Grayskull investigation launched in 2020, when law enforcement agents noticed a spike in traffic to a dark web site suspected of hosting child abuse material. The dark web child abuse sites eventually attracted more than 120,000 members, millions of files and at least 100,000 visits in a single day, according to an FBI official who spoke with CBS News.

"Even for prosecutors, it is difficult to understand how pervasive this is," said Matthew Galeotti, head of the Justice Department Criminal Division.

"Because it happens on the dark web, people aren't aware of it. It's extremely troubling," he told CBS News.

Selwyn Rosenstein was sentenced to 28 years in prison in 2022, for operating a dark website for unlawful exploitative images. Prosecutors said the platform "was not simply a website; it was a large, active community of pedophiles and (abuse material) enthusiasts. And it existed in part because of the Defendant's criminal acts."

Rosenstein possessed such a large quantity of abusive images, he needed to store some on a server he used to run his business, according to the Justice Department.

Speaking from a second floor conference room at Justice Department headquarters in Washington last week, Galeotti told CBS News the members of these dark web child abuse sites often "earn" membership by paying a fee, "helping moderate the site" or contributing child abuse images or material.

Another unrelated (?) horror in Alabama: police discover a hidden bunker where children were held captive and r*ped and sold by the night.

In a rural stretch of Bibb County in central Alabama, past pine forests and gravel roads, deputies uncovered what a sheriff called the most disturbing child abuse case he's seen in his 33 years of working in law enforcement.

Inside a concrete bunker near a home, at least 10 children were harmed as part of what the Bibb County Sheriff's Office described as a criminal operation involving sex trafficking, torture and the theft of innocence.

Most of the victims were between 3 and 10 years old; one was 15, officials said.
"I know God's forgiveness is boundless, but if there was a limit to it, I think we've reached it," Sheriff Jody Wade said, describing the acts as beyond comprehension and the kind that fracture faith in human nature.

At a news conference on Wednesday, Sheriff Wade said seven people, including family members and parents, were charged in connection with the trafficking operation in Brent, Ala., a city of 2,600 people about an hour south of Birmingham, where children were harmed in the bunker's underground structure.

The charges include human trafficking, rape, sodomy and sexual torture, Sheriff Wade said. Two women and five men were charged.

"I'm afraid there's going to be more victims and many more suspects," he said.

A photo released by the sheriff's office shows the inside of the bunker: a stained mattress in a corner, a black metal folding chair beside it, a dirty white pedestal fan, and a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling.

The sheriff said that the victims did not live in the bunker, which was built as a storm shelter, but that it was where the adults held them and allowed others to abuse them.
The victims were restrained to a chair and bed, Sheriff Wade said, adding that those children who were old enough to fight back were given something to make them a "little bit more drowsy and a little bit more compliant."

Sheriff Wade said that the suspects charged people to visit the bunker and abuse the children. The operation sometimes brought in $1,000 a night.

Why are their names being hidden?

Meanwhile, DHS is rounding up illegal alien pedophiles that the left is determined to keep in America to r*pe our children.

NEWARK, N.J. -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations Newark, alongside partners from Enforcement and Removal Operations, Newark arrested four illegally present child predators over the course of as many days in connection with an ongoing effort targeting illegal aliens with histories of child exploitation, titled "Operation Apex Predator."

Personnel with ICE HSI and ERO Newark arrested Gerson Jose Saenz Umana, a 27-year-old El Salvadorian national, and Javier Garcia Nicolasa, a 42-year-old Mexican national, on July 21.

Garcia Nicolasa was convicted on Dec. 1, 2023, of endangering sexual conduct with a child by caretaker. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

He entered the U.S. on an unknown date and through and unknown location.

Umana is a registered sex offender with a sealed criminal history that involves the exploitation of a child.

He was first encountered near Falfurrias, Texas, in November 2012, as an unaccompanied alien child.

Just days prior, on July 17, HSI and ERO Newark personnel made two other arrests of child predators living in New Jersey.

Juan Villatoro Valle, from El Salvador, and Reyes Peralta-Salazar, from Mexico, both illegally present in the United States.

Villatoro Valle, age 45, was convicted on Aug. 2, 2019, of sexual assault involving a victim under the age of 13, aggravated criminal sexual assault, and endangering with sexual conduct. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

Villatoro Valle entered the U.S. without inspection sometime before 2000. He was granted Temporary Protected Status in 2006, but his application for permanent residency was denied in 2009.

Reyes Peralta-Salazar, age 38, was arrested on Sept. 14, 2023, for criminal sexual conduct and endangering -- sexual conduct with child. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail.

Peralta-Salazar entered the U.S. without inspection at an unknown date.

All individuals were required to register as sex offenders in the state of New Jersey. All are being held in ICE custody pending either a hearing before an immigration judge or deportation.

Democrats continue bothering DHS and ICE officials, demanding entry so that they can help Democrat voters, also known as pedophiles, escape the consequences of the law.

Congressional Democrats are demanding a tour of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Baltimore as part of the party's push to conduct oversight over the Trump administration's immigration policies.

The Maryland delegation, including Sens. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD), as well as Reps. Glenn Ivey (D-MD), Johnny Olzewski Jr. (D-MD), Sarah Elfreth (D-MD), and Kweisi Mfume (D-MD) were denied a tour of the George H. Fallon federal building on Monday.

Their visit comes after allegations that detainees were experiencing inhumane conditions. ICE has denied these claims.

Mfume said during a press conference following the visit that the lawmakers were able to enter the building, but a director denied them a tour.

"We were not allowed entry, so we had to stand outside, bang on the door, and ultimately sit in front of the door," Mfume said. "Finally, a director came out and explained to us that she had been given direction not to allow anyone, member of the House, Senate, or anyone into the facility."

Delusional Mentally-Ill Suspect Immediately ID'd as "Possibly White" by CNN's Erin Burnett Kills Four Over Delusional CTE Self-Diagnosis

He halluciated having been in the NFL, and then went to the NFL's corporate offices to get vengeance for his hallucination.

The crazed gunman who killed an NYPD officer and three other people in a Midtown skyscraper on Monday evening was carrying a note in his pocket that expressed grievances with the NFL and claimed he suffered from CTE -- a brain injury linked to head trauma, sources told The Post.

Shane Tamura, 27, cited the NFL in the writings, which were found after he fatally shot himself in the chest on the 33rd floor of 345 Park Ave. -- a swanky skyscraper that houses the football league's corporate headquarters.

The mentally ill man wanted to shoot up the NFL's offices on levels 5 through 8 -- but "mistakenly went up the wrong elevator banks" and ended up on a higher floor, Mayor Eric Adams confirmed Tuesday.

In his three-page ramblings, Tamura blamed football for his apparent struggle with the neurodegenerative disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and pleaded for his brain to be studied in the wake of the massacre, law enforcement sources said.

He also specifically referred to Terry Long, the former Pittsburgh Steelers player who was diagnosed with CTE after downing antifreeze to kill himself 20 years ago.

"Terry Long, football gave me CTE and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze," the note stated, according to sources.

"You can't go against the NFL, they'll squash you."

"Please study brain for CTE. I'm sorry. The league knowingly concealed the dangers to our brains to maximize profits," Tamura continued. "They failed us."

The NFL has offices elsewhere in the Park Avenue high-rise, and one of its employees was among those shot, though not fatally.

Adams confirmed Tamura's note "alluded to having CTE from playing NFL" -- even though "he never played in the NFL."

"It appears as though he was going after the employees of the NFL," the mayor confirmed on Fox 5.

"We're still going through the suicide note to zero in on the exact reason, but at this time it appears as if it's something attached to his belief he experienced CTE from the NFL."

Tamura, who lived in Las Vegas and had a known mental health history there, initially opened fire in the building's lobby before taking the elevator to the 33rd floor, where he turned the gun on himself.

He shot a fifth person, who survived the attack.

This maniac never played in the NFL, or even college. He played only high school football.

CNN straight-up lied and claimed the killer was "possibly white," because that's the only race the Gaslight Media allows people to mention in crime stories.

In what sense is he "possibly white," apart from in your own hallucinations and wishcasting? Does Erin Burnett suspect a Soul Man-style scenario? Did she think the killer was C. Thomas Howell?

CNN's Erin Burnett is being skewered for reporting that the gunman who opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper -- killing an NYPD cop and three others -- was "possibly white" after viewing the initial security footage released immediately after Shane Tamura's deadly rampage.

In the photos first shared online, Tamura, 27, was captured in broad daylight walking into 345 Park Ave. with a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle in his hand.

Burnett said police knew the gunman had "sunglasses, mustache, male, possibly white" during a broadcast shortly after the shooting Monday evening.

The chilling image of Tamura with the AR-15, however, showed him with a possibly darker or ethnically mixed complexion.

Early police reports also suggested the suspect might be of Middle Eastern descent.

Online critics slammed Burnett's statement for being too premature and presumptive.

"He may be a bunch of different things, basically anything BUT white," one internet commenter said.

"CNN should be shut down. They have not reported a truthful story in what seems like forever," another commenter on X said.

Black commentators are questioning CNN's determination to gaslight the country.

Greg Forman also points out that CNN's Tater is boohoo whinin' and cryin' that Trump is talking about yanking the broadcast licenses of the Gaslight Media.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin Moves to End Obama-Era "Finding" That Carbon Dioxide Causes "Endangerment" to Humans, Which Would Be the "Largest Regulatory Action in the History of America"

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said Tuesday he's issuing draft plans to overturn the agency's 2009 scientific finding that greenhouse gases threaten human health and welfare -- a move guaranteed to spark litigation.

Weird how Obama impose this rule on bureaucratic authority alone and yet bureaucratic authority isn't enough to un-impose it.

Why it matters: It's President Trump's most direct effort to rip out climate regulations root and branch -- and make it harder for a successor to impose new ones.

The "endangerment finding" provides a key legal underpinning for regulating heat-trapping gases from cars, power plants and more under the Clean Air Act.

Catch up quick: EPA issued the finding in response to a landmark 2007 Supreme Court decision, Massachusetts v. EPA, which held that greenhouse gases are pollutants under the Clean Air Act.

The ruling led then-President Obama in 2009 to issue an order allowing EPA to establish emissions standards for sources shown to reasonably affect health and welfare.

Zeldin has said the decision stipulated that EPA was authorized -- but not obligated -- to regulate greenhouse gases.

The big picture: Researchers and environmentalists have warned ahead of the proposal that it conflicts with the scientific consensus on the unfolding harms from climate change.

"It is callous, dangerous and a breach of our government's responsibility to protect the American people from this devastating pollution," the Environmental Defense Fund said ahead of the long-expected plan.
And Dan Becker of the Center for Biological Diversity said in a statement Tuesday: "By revoking this key scientific finding Trump is putting fealty to Big Oil over sound science and people's health."

State of play: Zeldin argued that he's in favor of less pollution, and cast emissions rules as a distraction, saying "this is an economic issue."

"We want clean air, land and water. Conservatives love the environment, want to be good stewards of the environment," he said.
But he alleged there are people who want to "bankrupt the country" in the name of battling climate change.

Friction point: Zeldin said the agency welcomes a battle over what he called faulty conclusions about climate harms. The EPA administrator would make the final determination after a public comment period.

"We're going to go out to public comment. We're not afraid of allowing the public to weigh in," Zeldin said.

What we're watching: Certain legal battles if and when EPA finalizes the draft proposal after the comment period.

"A lot of people are out there listening, they might not know what the endangerment finding is. If you ask congressional Democrats to describe what it is, the left would say that it means that carbon dioxide is a pollutant, carbon dioxide is an endangerment to human health. They might say methane is a pollutant, methane is an endangerment to human health," Zeldin said.

One regulation that will be affected is the mandatory "idle stop" of a car's engine at red lights.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

The primary function of the corporation is to enhance shareholder value. Expecting anything more from them is a recipe for disappointment, for either the shareholders or the larger culture, or both.

Do I want American corporations to be patriotic and act in the best interests of the country and its citizens? Sure! That sounds great in theory, but it turns quickly into a massive problem. Who gets to decide what is patriotic? Who gets to decide what is best for America?

Senior VPs of Human Resources? The board of directors? The CEO? The hourly employees on the shop floor? The shareholders?

We have seen how well that has turned out over the past generation, as corporations across the country have gone insanely Woke, and have acted in ways that many Americans think are antithetical to the political philosophy on which our country is grounded: Just look at Budweiser, Disney, Target, Nike, GM, and many more. Yet those boards of directors approved the behaviors that sent their stock prices crashing, and in the case of their frantic drive to be the poster children for DEI and AGW gutted generations of merit-based hiring in favor of a rabidly racist system that was almost guaranteed to destroy corporate value, radically shifted the direction of the company toward EVs, or made movies that glorified transsexual insanity, and on and on and on...

But it also works the other way, when corporations pursue the bottom line without any regard for their workers, their country, or their own long-term health. Off-shoring manufacturing and customer service, and using imported foreign or illegal labor to save the higher cost of American workers makes some financial sense in the medium term, but geopolitical realities rarely recognize earnings per share as important. China's implosion, a new and radically different perspective in Washington, and the long overdue response of the American body politic to the insanity of corporations actively rejecting everything "American," is a powerful incentive to pay more attention to America and American workers.

But can we count on that shift to be permanent? No, of course not, and that is why the election of Donald Trump is so important, and the 2028 election of J.D. Vance (or a similar nationalist/populist) is vital.

The Vice President stated that he disliked seeing American companies firing thousands of American workers, then claiming there is a labor shortage.

“But I don’t want companies to fire 9,000 American workers and then to go and say, we can’t find workers here in America.”

“That’s a bullsh*t story,” he said.

The next step is to reduce the number of H1B visas issued (maybe to zero for a long while until our education system catches up?), and tighten the requirements so that it isn't carte blanche for American corporations to reduce labor costs by injuring Americans! Will that increase the labor costs of many corporations? Maybe. And I don't care. It might also improve the products, and increase consumer spending. But again...I don't care. Employing Americans and reinforcing our shared culture is more important than some improvement on GM's bottom line. And if GM won't make that decision, then government should step in.

The same thing is necessary to rein in the horrid, racist hiring practices of many corporations. They want to hire 50% disabled black two-spirit mechanical engineers?With the appropriate laws passed and strictly enforced...they can't. They will have to hire using the now strange method of choosing the best people, regardless of color or sexuality or political bent.

And yes, I am arguing for more government interference in what ideally should be a private decision between employer and employee. But we have to admit that what worked reasonably well for a very long time has become an anachronism, as corporate profit has become distorted by competing pressures of Woke lunacy and MBA-driven profit over all other considerations.

Perhaps in a generation, if our universities return to actual education (or even better...disappear), our corporations return to recognizing that shareholder value cannot be created with Woke policies, and our culture discards the absolute insanity of the last generation, we might succeed without government and legal interference, but I doubt it.

The Morning Report — 7/29/25

Good morning kids. President Trump's second term has certainly yielded some incredible results on so many issues, here at home, most significantly is his crusade against illegal immigration and its destructive consequences to our national security, sovereignty, culture and economic well-being. On the international front, discounting his tariff regime which in the long term will rejigger our relationships with many nations and result in net gains for our economy, and especially this latest agreement with the EU which as we discussed yesterday is a pretty huge deal.

But, the president has been touting his abilities as a peacemaker in bringing warring nations to the negotiation table.

President Donald Trump has brokered on average about one peace deal or ceasefire per month thus far in his presidency, following Monday’s ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia. . . “Now this would be six that we’ve stopped. I have … stopped six wars in the last — I’m averaging about a war a month,” he said.

Trump has brokered a number of ceasefires and peace deals since returning to office, the most prominent being the agreement between Israel and Iran after the “12-day war” between the countries. That war culminated after Trump approved devastating strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The sides agreed to a ceasefire on June 23, and it took effect on June 24.

Another major deal brokered by Trump and his administration is between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda. The countries reached a peace agreement in late June to end a 30-year-long conflict between them. . . In yet another deal, Trump announced a ceasefire with Ansarallah, commonly known as the Houthi jihadist terror organization, in Yemen in May, which took Israel by surprise. As part of the deal, the Houthis agreed to stop targeting U.S. ships and the U.S. agreed to stop bombing Yemen. Though the Houthis and the U.S. reached a deal, the group has continued to target Israel.

Finally, Trump brokered peace between Egypt and Ethiopia in June regarding a conflict over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Nile River.

I read "Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam" and immediately thought TRUMP Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, HOTEL and CASINO . . .

Seriously, as I and others have pondered vis a vis Trump and Israel and negotiating with Hamas, it just makes no sense whatsoever. In the wake of France's PM Emanuel Macron's despicable announcement of his support for a "Palestinian" state . . .

The Trump administration says it boycotted a United Nations conference promoting the two-state solution on Monday, calling the event a “publicity stunt” and an “insult.”

“This week, the U.N. will serve as host to an unproductive and ill-timed conference on the two-state solution in New York City,” State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement. “This is a publicity stunt that comes in the middle of delicate diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.”

Bruce said the conference will “prolong the war, embolden Hamas, and reward its obstruction and undermine real-world efforts to achieve peace.”

Instead of participating, Bruce said the United States will continue leading efforts to end the fighting and deliver a permanent peace.

“Our focus remains on serious diplomacy: not stage-managed conferences designed to manufacture the appearance of relevance,” she said.

The boycott comes after President Donald Trump drew attention to what he described as “real starvation” in Gaza. . . . “We’ll be helping with the food,” Trump said. “We can save a lot of people. That’s real starvation. I see it, and you can’t fake that.”

It would have been helpful had the President pointed out the rather salient fact that it's Hamas that caused and exacerbated the humanitarian crisis by its brutal invasion and butchery against Israel and Israel's righteous and justified response in defending itself. Plus the fact that Hamas uses its own people as cannon fodder to advance their own cause — the Islamic crusade to wipe out every Jew on the planet and convert all of Earth into an Islamic world.

Rewarding a fictitious people and nation created in the basement of KGB headquarters in 1964 with land. And not just any land, the land of Israel, which can only happen with the eradication of its citizens whose ancestors have had an historic presence there for over five millennia.

There can be no negotiation with Hamas, because Hamas is just the cutting edge of Islam itself. And that is sadly a truth that dare not be uttered lest one be called racist and Islamophobic despite nearly 1500 years of documented barbarism and bloodshed committed in the name of Islam.

Oh well. Great that we pulled out of UNESCO but we need to dismantle Turtle Bay.

Lowly District Court Judge Discovers That Congress's Power to Decide What Taxpayer Money Is Spent On Is "Likely Unconstitutional"

This c*nt, who should be impeached, declares that Congress must continue giving money to the abortion mill Planned Parenthood forever. The Constitution demands nothing less.

A federal judge on Monday blocked enforcement of a provision in U.S. President Donald Trump's recently enacted tax and spending bill that would deprive Planned Parenthood and its members of Medicaid funding, saying it is likely unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston issued a preliminary injunction after finding the law likely violated the U.S. Constitution by targeting Planned Parenthood's health centers specifically for punishment for providing abortions.

That provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed by the Republican-led Congress denied certain tax-exempt organizations and their affiliates from receiving Medicaid funds if they continue to provide abortions.

The U.S. Department of Justice argued that "the bill stops federal subsidies for Big Abortion" and urged Talwani not to let Planned Parenthood and its members "supplant duly enacted legislation with their own policy preferences."

Talwani, an appointee of Democratic President Barack Obama, said the law's text and structure made clear that it was crafted to cover every member of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the parent organization, even if they were not named.

That specificity likely transformed the provision at issue into an unconstitutional "bill of attainder," an act of Congress that wrongly seeks to inflict punishment without a trial, the judge said.

The media tried to pretend she merely overruled an executive order, rather than a law passed by Congress and signed into law by the President.

Even Left-Wing CNN and Axios Admit That Trump Has Won Completely on Tariffs

Axios: Trump won. Europeans and "experts" sad.

In the Trump-dominated global economy, the U.S. gets plenty but gives nothing in return.

Why it matters: This is the reality of the asymmetric trade deals touted by the White House, which show how far foreign leaders will go to safeguard access to the U.S. market.

Say that was Trump's and Bessent's guiding principle, wasn't it?

Which the "experts" claimed was false?

The big picture: Trump announced agreements with Europe and Japan in which both agreed to drop their tariff rates to zero, promised eye-popping investments in the U.S., and opened markets to American producers.

In return, those countries get some assurance on their tariff rate -- both 15%, and both of which could have been worse -- even if it puts their industries at a disadvantage.

What they're saying: "Both Tokyo and Brussels apparently viewed the price of a 15% tariff worth paying in light of the alternative of higher tariffs, uncertainty and counter-retaliation," Wendy Cutler, former acting U.S. trade representative under Obama, tells Axios.

The White House said that smaller nations -- including Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia -- would also lower their tariffs and open markets to U.S. producers.

Von der Leyen did not say what the U.S. conceded in the agreement when asked by a reporter.

"I think we hit exactly the point we wanted to find -- rebalance but enable trade on both sides," von der Leyen said in response to the question.

The word "re-balance" means that she agrees that trade was out-of-balance before.

"Keep Colbert" Protest Shows How Few Fans the Uncomfortably Uncharismatic Unfunnyman Actually Has, Even in a Left-Wing City of Nine Million

A Big Apple rally in support of on-his-way-out "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert drew fewer than two dozen people Sunday -- with even the NYPD cops on scene quickly calling it a day since most of the demonstrators left after just a few minutes.

Organizers said the "We're With Colbert" gathering outside the CBS Broadcast Center on Manhattan's West Side said it was meant to be part of a nationwide call for "integrity."

"Our country is not perfect, never has been," said the event's organizer, who would only identify himself as Matt and said his nickname is "Slim."

"But we've always had the First Amendment, and now Mango Mussolini is trying to take that from us," he said, referring to a derogatory nickname for President Trump.

"This is a First Amendment attack," a protester who refused to give her name said of the closing-down of the show. "We can't stand for that."

The last real late night host Jay Leno criticized Colbert for alienating half the country and destroying late night talk shows.

Former late-night comedy giant Jay Leno thinks today's TV hosts are fools for falling back on one-sided political humor -- explaining they're isolating half their audience with the endless partisan jabs.

"Why shoot for just half an audience all the time? You know, why not try to get the whole?" Leno, 75, told Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation CEO David Trulio during a recent interview.

"I don't understand why you would alienate one particular group, you know, or just don't do it at all," the former "Tonight Show" host ​said. "I'm not saying you have to throw your support or whatever, but just do what's funny."

​Leno said such conflicts are exactly why ​he pointedly avoided partisan political humor during his 22 years as the ​king of late night -- with one analysis cited by Trulio showing he made fun of both sides of the aisle in equal measure throughout his career.

"Funny is funny," Leno said. "It's funny when someone who's not​ ... when you make fun of their side​, and they laugh at it, you know, that's kind of what I do."

"I like to think that people come to a comedy show to kind of get away from the things, you know, the pressures of life, whatever it might be," Leno said. "And I love political humor, don't get me wrong, but it's just what happens when people wind up cozying too much to one side or the other.

When NBC demanded cuts at the Tonight Show, due to its falling ratings, Jay Leno famously gave up $10 million of his own salary to keep the entire staff employed.

So far I haven't heard Stephen Colbert offering to take the Jay Leno Challenge.

We've talked about this already, but: the real story is that the entire model of broadcast television is collapsing.

[T]he strongest evidence that Paramount's sacking of Colbert was definitely but not solely a gift to Trump comes, ironically, from Colbert's sharpest supporter, his former boss at The Daily Show Jon Stewart. On his podcast--keep that gig, Jon--the once-a-week TV host mused about the network on which he toils, Comedy Central. "Without 'The Daily Show,' Comedy Central's kind of like Muzak at this point ... I think we're the only sort of life that exists on a current basis, other than 'South Park.'"

If "late night" were all that was at risk, there would be more than two original programs on an entire television network, one of which was delayed until streaming rights were granted.

That's a reference to the South Park geeks holding out on a deal until Paramount allowed them to sell the show to other streamers, which is where the real money is.

And it's where the relevance is. I don't watch any broadcast TV until/unless it goes on to streaming. South Park being stuck on Comedy Central and Paramount's little-watched streaming service will result in the show being entirely forgotten.

I've already forgotten it. I only remember it when they advertise some big special episode like the Kathleen Kennedy one.

The financial turbulence in Hollywood extends well beyond the narrow time slot between 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. on three broadcast networks. It's about the rest of the schedule as well. Television as we have known it for more than 75 years in America affirmatively is going extinct, and practically nobody has reckoned with the implications of that.

But cable isn't the only issue. Of the top 68 highest-rated single programs on all television in 2024, broadcast or cable, 65 were sporting events; number 39 was the Sunday Night Football studio show during a weather delay in October. Only two scripted shows, CBS's Tracker and Young Sheldon (which ended last year), made the top 100. Sports are the last thing keeping the broadcast/cable television apparatus alive, and the gradual movement of sports programming into streaming, most notably Amazon's grab of a share of the NBA contract for next season, signals that will meet its end, too.

[E]ven talking about winners and losers in [late-night tv] obscures the ratings reality. The CBS Late Movie, a rerun it aired against The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in the 1970s and '80s, had an audience in 1972 of nearly seven million adults per film, nearly three times as many viewers as Colbert's "top-rated" Late Show a half-century later. The movie cost nothing but library rights. The Late Show costs $100 million a year.

The Trump business gave Paramount an excuse internally to do something the conglomerates have resisted for a while but know they must eventually: begin the demolition of their linear television product. This may start in late night but it won't end there, as before long--maybe a decade--everything moves into the streaming networks....

The giant problem is that, while the old business model for televised entertainment is dead, the new business model doesn't yet exist.

Full-Tilt Left-Wing "Fact" Checker Glenn Kessler Takes the Buyout and Leaves the Washington Post

As you know, the Washington Post sent out an email telling its woke staffers that they should accept the "voluntary" buyout package if they felt they could not "align" with the Post's new non-woke agenda. The not-so-subtle implication was: Either take the buyout or you'll be fired and just get the customary two-weeks' paycheck.

All of the left-wing propagandists are outing themselves, resigning because they know for a fact they cannot be objective and do not wish to be. They wish to be paid propagandists.

The Washington Post will not be replacing Kessler with another "fact" checker. Apparently the Post's new management has realized that left-wing "fact" checking is just Democrat-Communist propaganda dressed up to look like neutral reportage.

Kessler made that fact painfully clear, even to the water-heads of the Washington Post.

Of course he's also a George Soros minion, denying that Soros funds the politicians he funds.

Kessler is claiming that Soros doesn't fund Alvin Bragg. They always make claims like this -- Soros' Open Society Foundation funds the Workers and Family Party which in turn funds and supports left-wing Soros Prosecutors. See? No funding here at all! Totally false! Four Pinocchios!

Owner Jeff Bezos and CEO Will Lewis have taken a slew of recent steps to try and help the paper shed its left-wing reputation.

Glenn Kessler, editor and chief writer of The Fact Checker, announced on Monday that he is leaving the Post.

'After more than 27 years at The Washington Post, including almost 15 as The Fact Checker, I will be leaving on July 31, having taken a buyout,' Kessler said on Facebook.

'Much as I would have liked to keep scrutinizing politicians in Washington, especially in this era, the financial considerations were impossible to dismiss.'

The fact checker said he tried to help the newspaper find his replacement, but was unsuccessful.

The "experts" insisted that Trump's bid to reduce tariffs on US good while imposing a "baseline tariff" of 10% (or 15%) on the world was doomed to fail and would plunge us into a recession.

Trump (and Scott Bessent) calculated that the US market was far too lucrative for any country to write off and that this gave the US huge leverage in negotiating access to our market.

THE MORNING RANT: Functioning Gas Cans With Vents Are Legal Again!

There was a huge victory for normal Americans last week in the battle against our bureaucratic overlords in Washington DC, who are both hostile to freedom and bereft of common sense.

The national gas can nightmare is over. Thank you, Donald Trump! Thank you, Lee Zeldin!

Urban dwellers and those who have servants do all their manual labor may not have understood how despised the vent-less gas cans were, but to that huge group of Americans who actually work with power tools, the gas can regulation was probably the most hated and ridiculed government regulation since the 55-mph national speed limit.

Elections matter, and the election of Donald Trump as president, and his appointment of Lee Zeldin as EPA Administrator, are resulting in a profound rollback of the eco-communist agenda that Democrats were imposing through EPA regulations.

Lee Zeldin’s EPA put out this press release last week:

Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued letters to portable fuel container (PFC or gas can) manufacturers encouraging them to add vents to gas cans to ensure safe and effective refueling. This announcement comes in response to years of complaints about slow, frustrating fuel flow from modern gas cans.

Concurrent with the EPA’s press release, Administrator Zeldin tweeted this mockery of the EPA regulation that he is casting aside, ”Gas cans used to POUR gas. Now they just DRIBBLE like a child’s sippy cup. The Trump EPA’s message to gas can makers: VENT THE DARN CAN and let it FLOW BABY FLOW!”

What is so important about Mr. Zeldin’s announcement of gas can freedom is that he isn’t just triumphantly announcing the return of vented gas cans. No, he is also inviting ridicule upon anyone who might try to defend the government-mandated dribble-cans. No Democrat president (or “polite” Republican president) would ever roll back this regulation, but now that Trump and Zeldin have done so, it is not possible for any Democrat or RINO politician to advocate for the return of the ventless gas can without bringing ridicule upon themselves.

These awful gas cans have been a subject I have written about many times here at Ace of Spades. In fact, it was shortly after I started contributing here in late 2019 that I wrote the first column of mine that was widely linked at conservative websites and social media. While I’ll note that “Make something Great Again” is not terribly original in the Trump era, I am tickled that the title of the EPA’s press release led off with, “Make Gas Cans Great Again…”
