Sir Keir Starmer says he is "appalled" by the attack and is set to fly home early from a meeting of European leaders to chair an emergency Cobra meeting, and the King says he is "deeply shocked" to learn of the "horrific attack" on "such a significant day for the Jewish community".
But this is exactly what their policies have created. Pandering to the ascendant Muslim minority while simultaneously attacking and vilifying Israel set the stage for this attack and many others. They have made it abundantly clear that normal citizens are inferior to their new voting bloc, and because Jews are a special target for their favored pressure group, the government is quite willing to placate the hordes by making UK Jews unwanted. And that horde is ecstatic about it!
A Jewish man outside the synagogue said: "It is the holiest day of the year and we get this. There is no place for Jews in Britain any more. It's over."
That is correct, and the rest of the country that isn't Muslim isn't far behind that sentiment. [Crossposted at CutJibNewsletter and X/Twitter]. If you folks who are on X/Twitter would follow us it would be much appreciated!

Also, the prospects of attractive and accomplished Winsome Earle Sears to beat horrendous harridan Abigail Spanberger in Virginia's gubernatorial race are also on the rise.
And elsewhere as CBD and I discussed on the latest episode of the podcast, linked here and in the sidebar, as well as the usual outlets listed below, Secretary of WAR Pete Hegseth with encouragement and the blessings of his and our Commander-in-Chief is purging the vestiges of the poisonous rot of DEI within the military and restoring the morale and effectiveness from the top brass down through the ranks. And thank God for that, given the situation in the world today vis a vis the Chi-Coms, Iran and global Islam as well as their third-world hangers on that hate America with equal fervor and are more than willing to take pot shots at us at their behest or of their own accord.
Hegseth himself summed it up perfectly by declaring
"No More Dudes in Dresses!"
I assume that he was referencing the sickening debasement that is or please God was Admiral Richard/Rachel Levine. How many more Bitter literal KLINGERS (with apologies to Jamie Farr) are there in the ranks and when will they all be section 8-ed the hell out?! Of course one or more Hawaiian judges are ready to impose their will on us and declare such a move null and void.
Beyond those aforementioned threats, there's also the alien chest-burster gnawing the guts of Uncle Sam himself from within that must be utterly eradicated with absolutely no mercy.
Now is the time for full government action, and we've seen the deployments. I love the deployments. I love seeing Border Patrol out there doing what they're doing every single night. But we need to get proactive. We need to absolutely get proactive about this. And what better place to do that than Portland? We know that Portland is one of the hot spots, probably the biggest hot spot. It's the only place, right? It's the only place in the whole country where the left has no leg to stand on whatsoever when they say Antifa doesn't exist, because the Portland chapter of Antifa has existed for 20 years. . . But when you have these poisonous, sick, cancerous elements in it, they must be treated like a disease, and the disease must be fought. The Cancer must be cut out. It must be eradicated. It must be wiped clean. And that's what we're going to do, folks, we're going to wipe them clean.Again, whether the Democrat Party directly or indirectly funds Antifa, having them as your de facto goon squads benefits them politically. And everything the Democrats do ultimately serves the cause of destroying the American nation and society as it was founded and intended to be. 200-plus years of history with rivers of blood and wastage of human life and potential is self-evident for all but the deaf, dumb and blind. Sad to say, but it's us or them. You are either with us or you're with the terrorists. Who comes out on top and how the war is to be fought remains to be seen — the Left's eagerness and willingness to subvert the rule of law and to encourage and countenance violence and terrorism to all who oppose them is where we are at. Also, I note that Kash Patel told the ADL to gey kocken affin yom! loosely translated from Yiddish, go shit in the ocean. (basically a polite way of saying go "F" yourself
“James Comey disgraced the FBI by writing ‘love letters’ to the ADL and embedding agents with an extreme group functioning like a terrorist organization and the disgraceful operation they ran spying on Americans. That was not law enforcement, it was activism dressed up as counterterrorism, and it put Americans in danger,” said Patel.Like everything else that is infested with Leftists, it ultimately rots and dies. The ADL whose original intention was to call out and protect Jews from anti-semitism and other minorities from discrimination lost its way long ago and became cheerleaders and propagandists for some of the most noxious and extreme anti-American individuals and organizations while sliming conservatives and Christians as Jew-haters and so forth. Ironically it is conservatives and Christians who are the staunchest defenders of Jews and Israel while the Left falls all over itself to throw us into a mass grave, sadly Jews by birth only as its most vocieferous cheerleaders. Now to dismantle the ACLU and SPLC with extreme prejudice. For far too long those hotbeds of Leftism have been used to legitimize and give cover to attack and demonize anyone and anything even red pubic hair's width to the right of Fidel Castro. Their ill-gotten status as defenders of freedom, plurality and the American way has got to be smashed once and for all. Have a good day! And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Wait, let me stop you right there.
Noah, we'll need you to build another boat. No, same size as last time would be fine.
- OpenAI's new social app, Sora, is filled with horrifying Sam Altman deepfakes. (Tech Crunch)
In a video on OpenAI's new TikTok-like social media app Sora, a never-ending factory farm of pink pigs are grunting and snorting in their pens - each is equipped with a feeding trough and a smartphone screen, which plays a feed of vertical videos. A terrifyingly realistic Sam Altman stares directly at the camera, as though he's making direct eye contact with the viewer. The AI-generated Altman asks, "Are my piggies enjoying their slop?"
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. In the next video on Sora's For You feed, Altman appears again. This time, he's standing in a field of Pokémon, where creatures like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and a sort of half-baked Growlithe are frolicking through the grass. The OpenAI CEO looks at the camera and says, "I hope Nintendo doesn't sue us." Then there are many more fantastical yet realistic scenes, which often feature Altman himself.
Build a global network that everyone can share, they said. Make access cheap and easy, they said. What could go wrong, they said.People on Sora who generate videos of Altman are especially getting a kick out of how blatantly OpenAI appears to be violating copyright laws. (Sora will reportedly require copyright holders to opt out of their content's use - reversing the typical approach where creators must explicitly agree to such use - the legality of which is debatable.)
Guys?
OpenAI isn't violating copyright anymore than a typewriter.
You - the people posting this drivel - are doing that.

Is America experiencing a religious revival after the assassination of Charlie Kirk? Salena Zito:
Something big is happening with America's young people. It has been building for the past two years. It centers on faith, purpose, and a renewal toward more traditional American values. This new American youth counterculture movement looks very different from the one that burst onto the scene in the 1960s. ... Every counterculture movement is a rebellion against the dominant culture. Now, our young people are leading the way by rejecting the conformity demanded by our culture and its elite gatekeepers who crush dissent from anyone who questions their authority. .... These moments are not anecdotal. Two recent reports have shown a dramatic shift among young people and their relationship with their faith. First, the Pew Research Center released a report showing that the decades-long decline in Americans identifying as Christian leveled off, followed by a survey done by the Barna Group that showed that downward trend is now in full reverse. And who is driving the return to church? These reports show the rise in faith is being driven by those in their 20s and 30s. "Since the pandemic Millennials and Gen Z have shown significant increases in commitment to Jesus," the Barna Group study reads, "while Boomers and Gen X, especially women, have remained flat in their commitment levels to Jesus." Last Thursday, a remarkable moment happened on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh when 600 college students showed up for a first-ever "Pitt for Jesus" event. There, it was clear we are in the midst of a revival. The event featured nearly 100 baptisms, live worship music, prayer, testimonies by athletes and a spiritual awakening among young people that was profound to experience. The Supreme Court -- led by the liberals Roberts and Coney-Barrett, I'm sure -- rejects Trump's appeal and says that Lisa Cook can remain a Fed Bank Governor, despite her serial mortgage fraud on the federal banks themselves.
Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook will keep her position while the Supreme Court considers arguments over the president's authority to fire her amid allegations of mortgage fraud. The court agreed to hear the issue on an expedited basis, Politico reported."Expedited" means that they'll hear arguments in January, and who knows how many months will pass before they issue a decision. The Comey prosecution will focus on his authorization of the "friend" he hired to be his personal leaker to leak confidential files to the media, and his subsequent lie to Congress that he didn't authorize confidential leaks.
Fired FBI Director James Comey has been indicted for purportedly lying to Congress when he denied authorizing FBI leaks to the media. In fact, multiple sources told Just the News that Comey authorized his personal advisor and friend Daniel Richman to leak to the press. Richman, a former DOJ official and current Professor of Law at Columbia University Law School, was a Special Government Employee (SGE) at the FBI during the 2016 election, and it is already public knowledge that Richman later assisted Comey with leaking the so-called "Comey Memos" to the New York Times in 2017 after Comey's firing by President Donald Trump. Motivating the leak was Comey's desire to prompt the appointment of a special counsel to carry on the bureau's Trump-Russia investigation, which proved to be baseless. Comey has described Richman as a "friend" to investigators, and Richman also went on to be Comey's personal attorney. The indictment against Comey came two weeks after Richman was subpoenaed as part of a criminal probe, according to ABC News.Comey also claimed that he "couldn't recall" whether he had been briefed on the fact that the entire RussiaGate hoax he was determined to use FBI resources to "investigate" was in fact a fabrication of Hillary Clinton. He didn't want to admit that he was told that Hillary Clinton was behind all this -- which would compel him to end the investigation -- so unbelievably claimed he just couldn't remember if he'd ever been briefed on this fact. The teacher who forced students to participate in ghost-face masked "Scream" orgies is hit by nearly 50 charges of sexual assault on minors.
Elements of the indictment and unnamed "persons" The indictment sought by the Trump Justice Department and approved by a grand jury last week stems from allegations that Comey misled the Senate during his testimony in late September 2020, when he reiterated his May 2017 denial that he had ever authorized an FBI leak of information to the media about the Trump-Russia investigation or Clinton-related investigations. The indictment also alleged that Comey had obstructed Congress by lying to the Senate. "On or about September 30, 2020, in the Eastern District of Virginia, the defendant, JAMES B. COMEY JR., did willfully and knowingly make a materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statement in a matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch of the Government of the United Stales, by falsely stating to a U.S. Senator during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that he, JAMES B. COMEY JR., had not 'authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports' regarding an FBI investigation concerning PERSON 1," the indictment states. Sources familiar with the matter confirmed that "Person 1" is Hillary Clinton. The sources declined to be named due to the sensitive nature of the investigation. The indictment goes on to say that Comey's leak authorization denial "was false, because, as JAMES B. COMEY JR. then and there knew, he in fact had authorized PERSON 3 to serve as an anonymous source in news reports regarding an FBI investigation concerning PERSON 1." The allegation that "Person 3" is Richman comes after multiple news articles had apparently suggested that the person in question whom Comey had allegedly authorized to leak had been former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe. The sources familiar with the matter stated that "Person 3" is Richman.
A disgraced Indiana teacher accused of forcing teenagers as young as 13 to wear "Scream" masks while having group sex with her now faces nearly 50 criminal charges after another accuser came forward. Brittany Fortinberry, 32, was hit with six additional counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, dissemination of material harmful to minors and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to court documents obtained by WTHR. The accuser came forward in early September -- long after the teacher had been arrested and accused by others -- saying he was previously too scared to speak out, newly released documents revealed.I know you're wondering: Is this real rape, or is she hot? She's an uggo, so it's real rape.
He claimed Fortinberry would invite him to her house to hang out and do drugs, and that she would compliment his appearance and strength while he did chores for her. Eventually, Fortinberry started touching him more, culminating in them allegedly having sex in her garage, according to the docs. It was not clear how old the boy was at the time.
That same night, the boy claimed he slept in Fortinberry's kids' room, while the teacher went to bed with her husband, according to court documents. He alleged that Fortinberry plied him with drugs and gifts, but claimed he stopped going to her house after he realized she was having sex with other teens.
Several teenagers in the area knew about Fortinberry allegedly supplying minors with drugs and sexually preying on children, according to the victim. "She just handed it out to anybody," he told investigators, according to court documents seen by Fox 59. The divorced educator now faces a total of 47 charges, including 15 counts of child molestation and 14 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. Fortinberry's life imploded in August 2024 after the grandmother of one of her alleged victims told police the teacher molested the boy when he was 15 years old. The grandmother also claimed Fortinberry sent the boy nude pictures and gave him drugs, along with graphic messages allegedly threatening to kill herself if he told anyone about the abuse.

A Hunter College grad who went viral for mercilessly tearing down posters of Israelis taken hostage by Hamas ended up landing herself an internship in mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani's state assembly office, The Post has learned. Frances Macalimbon Hamed, whose face was plastered in The Post back in 2023 when she and another activist were busted tearing down the hostage posters, was later employed as a "constituent-services intern" in Mamdani's Queens legislative office. Mamdani's mayoral campaign confirmed Tuesday that Hamed had been one of his state assembly interns but insisted he wasn't aware of the footage when she was hired.Sure. Wink.

Operation "Midway Blitz" is active.
A massive illegal immigration raid in Chicago -- targeting members of the violent Tren de Aragua gang -- resulted in over two dozen arrests as the Trump administration makes good on its promise to keep American communities safe, despite sanctuary city policies making it difficult to do so. The raid involved several agencies and 300 federal officers, which took place on Tuesday in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. Authorities have reason to believe that the apartment complex has been used as a hub of sorts for the violent gang members. ... The outlet also cited a Border Patrol official, who said they were "seeking six high priority targets, including suspected members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan criminal organization," per the report. Video shows dozens of federal officials as well as a helicopter over the area in what has been described as an "unprecedented show of federal force." Authorities believe the gang members are responsible for dealing guns and drugs. This raid came less than a month after the Department of Homeland Security announced the launch of Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham, who was murdered in a hit-and-run drunk driving car wreck caused by a criminal illegal alien. "DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in Illinois by a criminal illegal alien who should have never been in our country," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. "This operation will target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Chicago. For years, Governor Pritzker and his fellow sanctuary politicians released Tren de Aragua gang members, rapists, kidnappers, and drug traffickers on Chicago's streets--putting American lives at risk and making Chicago a magnet for criminals," she continued. "President Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message: no city is a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens," she added. "If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will hunt you down, arrest you, deport you, and you will never return."

On Monday, President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a peace plan to end their conflict with Gaza. Hamas must now agree to the terms. "This can be done the easy way or the hard way, but it must be done," Netanyahu said in a statement to the press at the White House. The plan received praise from Republican members of Congress, but also from unexpected sources like the Palestinian government, which serves as the bureaucratic arm of Gaza governance. Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wisc., told Just The News, "Think about when President Trump went to the Arabic countries very early on in his second term. He was treated with great respect, and he treated them with great respect. It's the same with Israel and the Jewish people." ... Importantly, the Palestinian Authority committed to implementing the reforms, including holding new elections and ending its system that pays the families of Palestinians involved in attacks on Israel, per the Associated Press. ... The proposed 20-point peace agreement aims to transform Gaza into a "deradicalized," terror-free zone that would, in theory, no longer pose a threat to its neighbors, with the immediate ending of hostilities upon acceptance by both Israel and Hamas. Israeli forces would withdraw to a designated line, suspending all military operations, while Hamas would return all hostages within 72 hours of Israel's public agreement. In return, Israel would release 250 life-sentence prisoners, 1,700 Gazans detained after October 7, 2023, and the remains of deceased Gazans proportional to Israeli hostage remains. Hamas members committing to peace and disarmament would receive amnesty or safe passage to leave Gaza, ensuring no further role in its governance. Additionally, full humanitarian aid, consistent with the January 19, 2025, agreement, would flow into Gaza without interference, managed by neutral international organizations, with the Rafah crossing operating under the same mechanism.
The "hard way" mentioned by Netanyahu might just be a
final siege of Gaza City and the complete eradication of the terrrorists there. The city is now surrounded so that no one can get in or out.
The IDF confirms it has "operational control" over the western portion of the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza, preventing Palestinians from returning to Gaza City. In the past day, the 99th Division began a ground operation aimed at "strengthening and maintaining operational control over the Netzarim Corridor," the military says. "The troops operated to disrupt the operational capabilities of the Hamas terror organization in the area and to expand operational control in the sector," the army adds.Trump declared he'd defend Qatar from attacks -- from Israel, of course, should they bomb the Hamas leadership that is still granted haven there. (I know Israel bombed some of their penthouse bunkers but reports say that almost all of the leadership survived.) I'm sure Trump is doing this for tactical diplomatic reasons. He's probably getting Qatar to pressure Hamas. But he's done what he never before did for Israel: He made a guarantee of American military aid should Qatar be attacked. By Israel.
Southbound movement from Gaza City is still permitted, though Defense Minister Israel Katz said Palestinians would need to go through army checkpoints. He said earlier today that civilians now have their "last opportunity" to leave.
Trump gives Qatar unprecedented security guarantee after Israeli attack President Trump signed on Monday an executive order to provide Qatar a U.S. security guarantee with conditions similar to NATO's Article 5, according to the text of the order published by the White House. Why it matters: This is an unprecedented security agreement between the U.S. and an Arab country. It says the U.S. will treat any "armed attack" on the country "as a threat to the peace and security of the United States" and respond accordingly. The upgraded U.S. security guarantee is part of the "compensation" to Qatar for the failed Israeli strike against Hamas officials in Doha three weeks ago.An Article 5-like guarantee to come to the direct aid of a foreign country! Still, this presents a problem for the pro-Hamas "American Firsters" of the American pseudoright like Tucker Carlson, who just wants to ask endless questions about America's alliance with Israel. These supposed champions of strict non-internetionism shrieked about America's one night of bombing on Iran's nuke facilities, but are oddly quiet about America promising to defend a foreign country against Israel.
Because it was issued via executive order, the security guarantee is less binding than a Senate-approved mutual defense treaty. The intrigue: The order was signed on Monday, the same day Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the White House, but was only made public to days later. What it says: "[I]n light of the continuing threats to the State of Qatar posed by foreign aggression, it is the policy of the United States to guarantee the security and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar against external attack".
But I thought the "Just Askin' Questions" Troika of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and now Megyn Kelly all opposed the US extending any military aid to Israel, not because they're anti-Jewish, but just on strict principle. Has nothing to do with Israel, they declare, it's just that we oppose all American intervention on behalf of any country. But now that Trump has made a NATO Article 5 level guarantee to defend Qatar against Israel, the totally-not-antisemitic principled objectors to any foreign entanglements are stone silent. Defend Israel -- NEVER! Defend Qatar against Israel -- sounds good! Sign us up! It's almost as if -- see if you can follow my logic on this -- that they're not "anti-war" or "anti-foreign-intervention," but simply on the other side.

His Memory Was So Degraded They Prepared Photo-Cards of Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer They claim that this is "routine procedure." MXM:
Newly uncovered note cards from Joe Biden's presidency reveal that staff prepared hand-sized reference sheets with photos and bios of prominent figures, including Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer, for Biden to use during public events. The revelations raise fresh questions about Biden's reliance on aides and briefing tools during his time in office. Key Details: Five "palm cards" were obtained by Fox News Digital amid an investigation into Biden's use of an autopen for official documents. Cards included photos and bios of high-profile Democrats and celebrities, such as Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, and Denzel Washington. Critics say the notes reflect Biden's dependence on staff direction, while a former aide insisted such materials are "standard operating procedure." Diving Deeper: Fresh evidence from the Biden era underscores how heavily the president leaned on prepared briefing cards for public appearances. According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, five palm-sized note cards--some stamped with the words "PRESIDENT HAS SEEN"--were discovered as part of a broader probe into the Biden administration's use of an autopen for official business. The cards functioned as cheat sheets, laying out names, photos, and short bios of individuals Biden would encounter or mention during speeches and ceremonies. One note card, titled "Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipients," included Hillary Clinton's photo and a reminder that she served as Secretary of State under the Obama-Biden administration. The same card also featured Hollywood actor Denzel Washington and other recipients such as chef José Andrés and philanthropist David Rubenstein. Another card was tied to Biden's judicial confirmations milestone event, displaying photos of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Majority Whip Dick Durbin alongside their states and party affiliation. Both senators joined Biden in January 2024 as he celebrated his administration's 235th judicial confir ... Perhaps most striking was a card that appeared to prep Biden for press questions. The sheet included a scripted query attributed to ABC's Mary Bruce, labeled "Question #3." At a joint press conference with South Korea's president in April 2023, Bruce indeed asked Biden about his age and re-election campaign. Biden, holding the card, called on her by name: "I think the next question is Mary Bruce, ABC."

Republicans lead by a scotch -- 1% -- obviously within the MOE.
But Republicans outperform their polls and further, they have a built-in structural advantage. The Democrats lead on enthusiasm/intensity, with 47% saying that they are very enthusiastic to vote in 2026, compared to 41% of Republicans saying the same. We need to change this. And we really need Trump to summon the banners and get his low-propensity personal voting pool to vote in the midterms for people besides him. Meanwhile, Trump posted an AI video making fun of Democrats stopping the American government for free health care for illegals.
On a generic ballot, 46% of registered voters said they would back the GOP in a recent Napolitan News Service survey. A further 45% backed the Democrats. That figure included so-called "leaners," without whom the figures stood at 43% GOP to 41% Democrats. The leaner-inclusive figure marked a net gain of 1% over the August iteration of the survey, when 47% backed each party.

Before that: They're also insisting that we fund their woke propaganda unit NPR.
OMB director Ross Vought kept his promise and froze billions that otherwise would go to boondoggles in Chuck Schumer's shithole state of NY:
Jonathan Turley
@JonathanTurley

We discussed yesterday how tone deaf the Democrats were to insist on funding NPR as one of the conditions to avoid a government shutdown. A new New York Times poll shows that the leadership does not even have the support of a majority of Democrats. ...Some 65 percent said Democrats should not shut down the government. Among Democrats, 43 percent said they should not shut down the government. That is at the start of the shutdown. These things tend to become less popular with time. Fighting for such items as funding your favorite media outlet is not going to resonate with Americans, who will face serious cutoffs with this move.
Russ VoughtI like it. You know what would make me love it? Permanently cancelling this boondoggle spending. New York can pay for its own infrastructure from the profits from Zohran Mamdani's government-run groceries. Democrats are all claiming that they're not fighting for free health care for illegals. They claim that illegals aren't eligible for Obamacare so none of them are on it, just like they're not allowed to vote so obviously zero illegals vote illegally. But that's not even the issue, and they know it. At least if they were on Obamacare, they would be paying something for health care. They're not. They walk into hospital ERs and do not pay anything to anybody. And you know who pays for that? Taxpayers, through the federal government, which "reimburses" hospitals for the "free" health care they provided to illegals. Which is no different than paying the bill up front. It doesn't matter whether taxpayers pay it immediately or a month later when the hospital bills the federal government. We're paying for free health care for illegals. Democrats are demanding we restore funding to hospitals for free health care for illegals.
@russvought Roughly $18 billion in New York City infrastructure projects have been put on hold to ensure funding is not flowing based on unconstitutional DEI principles. More info to come soon from @USDOT. Specifically, the Hudson Tunnel Project and the Second Ave Subway.

The federal government partially shut down at midnight Wednesday, hours after all but three Senate Democrats voted down a short-term funding bill. The measure fell five votes short of passing. The shutdown is the first since December 2018, which saw non-essential government operations cease and tens of thousands of federal employees furloughed or forced to work without pay for 35 days until lawmakers agreed on a stopgap funding measure. White House Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought notified federal department and agency heads shortly after Tuesday’s failed Senate vote to keep the government funded to begin preparations for a shutdown. Democrats Senator John Fetterman (Pennsylvania) and Senator Catherine Cortez Mastro (Nevada) voted fo the measure. Independent Senator Angus King (Maine) also voted for the bill. The bill needed five more Democrats to support the measure in order for it to pass. The one phrase that jumped out at me is non-essential government operations. Well, if they're non-essential why do they even exist in the first place?! Yeah, I get it, priorities. But my observation still stands. What are the priorities of both the Federal government and of course the citizenry that in theory give it the power to engage in those activities. Or at least in theory. And that has been the issue since the founding of the Republic and then beginning with FDR who shot that to hell as the ever-expanding bureaucratic state drained our wallets and denuded our individual liberties. While no doubt the traitorous propaganda media complex will spin more furiously than Iranian centrifuges to paint all this as the fault of President Trump and the GOP we'll see if the public at large will buy into it, especially since all essential activities and payments and so on and so forth will continue as if nothing happened at all. While the sight, sound and stench of this vile beast is enough to disintegrate solid iridium, it's this kind of vomitus that makes for effective campaign ads.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) admitted on Tuesday that Democrats are “demanding healthcare for everybody” in their fight against the continuing resolution (CR) bill. “Are Democrats demanding healthcare for illegal aliens?” a reporter asked Waters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday. “Democrats are demanding healthcare for everybody,” Waters responded.Absolute gold. Yeah, keep buggering that chicken strychnine-tits all the way to the midterms and beyond. And speaking of illegal aliens, this item is particularly disturbing:
Iowa Man, the illegal alien known as Ian Roberts, who was arrested by ICE wielding a gun on the run, but otherwise had been "serving" as superintendent of Des Moines public schools, has more history than originally reported. . . I have confirmed from Maryland Freedom Caucus Chairman, @MattMorgan29A (R) that Des Moines Superintendent Ian Roberts has been a registered voter in Maryland since 2012. Roberts is an illegal alien.@elonmusk also agrees, it’s time to clean the voter rolls. pic.twitter.com/4encSIQwfk — Dustin Grage (@GrageDustin) September 29, 2025 Registered to vote? Registered to vote? That suggests some political involvement, possibly with an illegal alien-promoting NGO or a union involved in get-out-the-vote efforts. Roberts' meteoric rise to Superintendent of Des Moines public schools didn't come about without a lot of politics, particularly teachers' union politics. He not only was in the country illegally, he reportedly faked his highest degree. His scaling to the top had to have involved a lot of DEI and a lot of glad-handing with the ruling leftists and he knew how to do it. He held positions all over the country -- Pennsylvania, etc. -- but it all started in the Washington-Baltimore area.Elsewhere, there are some troubling things coming out of Ukraine. Could they have anything to do with Pete Hegseth and President Trump's recent confab at the War Department (I love that) with top brass. I hope not.
Once again, it feels as if we’re tiptoeing toward an official war between the United States and Russia — as opposed to the proxy war that has endured for three and half years between Russia and NATO-backed Ukraine. Although President Trump has downplayed the “rare and urgent” meeting of top military commanders from around the world at Quantico, Virginia, on Tuesday, the event has generated intense speculation. The Pentagon says that secretary of War Hegseth merely wants to deliver a speech on the “warrior ethos” and make sure that military leaders are all walking in the same direction. The president describes the focus of the gathering in general terms: “We’re talking about what we’re doing, what they’re doing, and how we’re doing.” Still, to gather the highest-ranking members of the U.S. military in one location for a chat with the president and secretary of War leaves the impression that something of significant importance will be discussed. On Monday morning, ZeroHedge gathered data from several sites that analyze open-source intelligence to predict military engagements. Those sites were all tracking a large deployment of U.S. aerial refueling tankers crossing the Atlantic on their way to Europe. A social media account that tracks pizzerias near the Pentagon showed a spike in orders late Sunday night. The last time these sources noted a wave of air tankers leaving the United States and increased carryout orders from restaurants near the Pentagon, the U.S. military was preparing to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities. When these open-source data points are viewed alongside the unusual meeting of top military commanders in northern Virginia, it is difficult not to conclude that a potentially significant military operation is imminent.Yeah, I know some people tend to poo-poo ZeroHedge, but still. Let's hope it's not this, but also as I mused the other day, with all the talk and incidents of Leftist/Democrat political violence and actual terrorism, my fear of internal civil war outweighs getting our hair mussed in Ukraine, which I think President Trump despite wanting to bring about the end of that bloody mess, would not be dumb enough to actually trigger war with Putin, even by accident. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a good day!

In further Big Pharma news: Tylenol's maker "quietly" acknowledged the autism risk of the pain-reliever... back in 2018.
Pfizer has agreed to offer significantly discounted prices for some prescription drugs for all American consumers and has committed to offer prescription medications to Medicaid at lower prices, President Trump announced Tuesday. The president said the drugs will be available for purchase online on a website operated by the federal government, which the White House has said will be called "TrumpRx." "Today, I'm thrilled to announce that one of the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers and one of the best anywhere in the world, Pfizer, has agreed to offer countless prescription medications at major discounts in the United States, a result of the 'most favored nation' drug pricing order that we established earlier this year," Mr. Trump said in the Oval Office. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, who was in the Oval Office with the president for the announcement, said Mr. Trump's threat of 100% tariffs on drugs manufactured outside the U.S. motivated his company to take swift action. The president said Pfizer's drug prices will be lower starting "immediately." The president said the cost of some Pfizer drugs could see decreases in price of 50%-100%. Mr. Trump said this would save American consumers and taxpayers "hundreds of millions of dollars a year." The president said Americans have been "subsidizing research and development costs for the entire planet" because of the higher prices they have been paying. "We're also announcing that moving forward, all new medications introduced by Pfizer to the American market will be sold at the reduced most favored nation cost," the president added. "So, we'll be paying essentially what other countries are paying, who have been much lower -- much, much lower for many, many years." ... The Pfizer agreement is a part of the White House agenda to secure "most favored nation" pricing with pharmaceutical manufacturers. In May, Mr. Trump signed an executive order calling on drugmakers to lower their prices and bring them in line with what other high-income countries pay for the same drugs. He threatened to subject them to steep caps on how much they can earn from Medicare if they failed to do so. Monday was the deadline for drugmakers to reach agreements to bring down drug costs, the Post reported, after the president's May executive order. While the U.S. has less than 5% of the world's population and uses about 13% of the world's prescription drugs, the U.S. funds over 70% of global pharmaceutical profits, according to the White House.
The pharmaceutical company behind Tylenol privately acknowledged the likelihood of an association between its drug in pregnancy and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism in children seven years ago, company documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show. "The weight of the evidence is starting to feel heavy to me," said Rachel Weinstein, U.S. director of epidemiology for Janssen, the pharmaceutical arm of Johnson & Johnson, in 2018. Johnson & Johnson marketed Tylenol at the time but in 2023 spun off its consumer products division into a separate company called Kenvue.Legacy media headlines and vocal public health experts have dismissed the conclusion of President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that Tylenol taken in pregnancy and early infancy has driven rises in autism. But one stakeholder has for years viewed the evidence as credible enough to act upon, at least privately: The makers of Tylenol. The DCNF obtained the company documents from the law firm Keller Postman LLC, which brought a class action lawsuit against Kenvue in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York. ... A decade before Weinstein's email, in 2008, Johnson & Johnson began receiving queries from consumers and physicians about a possible link, emails show. "Not much choice but to consider this a safety signal that needs to be evaluated," J&J Office of Consumer Medical Safety Lead Andre Mann wrote in 2008 after receiving a letter from a physician with concerns. Leslie Shur, the head of the division of Johnson & Johnson that monitors the side effects of drugs already on the market, received an alert in 2012 about concerns about acetaminophen and autism from a concerned father, with one employee writing "in case this goes to press." Concerns about a link between Tylenol and neurological disorders may have reached the C-suite by 2014, according to another email, which references then-Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorski. The makers of Tylenol have closely tracked a drumbeat of scientific publications finding an association between taking the blockbuster drug in pregnancy and infancy and autism risk, other company documents show. A 2018 internal presentation the company labeled "privileged and confidential" acknowledges that observational studies show a "somewhat consistent" association between prenatal exposure to Tylenol and neurodevelopmental disorders. Another presentation slide acknowledges that larger meta-analyses -- reviews summarizing multiple scientific studies -- found an association, but notes weaknesses of these studies like confounding variables and subjectivity in measuring autistic traits.
