Trump: We Should Have a Convention Before the Midterm Elections

This convention wouldn't have any kind of official function. Congressional candidates are selected by voting in the states, not by convention delegates.

The point would be to hype up the base and irregular voters and to define the party's agenda, versus the Democrat-Media Cult's agenda. So it's really just a rally with production values.

Trump has brought aboard new voters but they have a distressing tendency to only vote when Trump's on the ballot. This is a good idea as far as communicating to these Trump-Only voters that his presidency depends utterly on them voting in a Congress he can do business with.

And of course he's the party's best salesman.

I approve!

The Democrat-Media Cult is probably doing something similar but we will get more out of this than they will. The Democrat-Media Cult cannot be honest about its agenda because it turns 70% of the country off. So they just have to babble vague buzzwords without saying what they intend to do with power, if they have it.

President Donald Trump on Thursday floated hosting a pre-midterm Republican National Convention, touting his administration's success and saying his party is "poised to win big in the midterms."

"We won every aspect of the Presidential Election and, based on the great success we are having, are poised to WIN BIG IN THE MIDTERMS," Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social. "The results are incredible, a record pace!!! In that light, I am thinking of recommending a National Convention to the Republican Party, just prior to the Midterms. It has never been done before. STAY TUNED!!!"

Trump's message comes just a day after Axios reported that senior Democratic officials were considering a similar move, as they gear up for an uphill battle to reclaim control of Congress and disrupt Trump's Republican trifecta.

A pre-midterm mini-convention -- which fell out of fashion among Democrats in the mid-1980s -- would give prospective leaders from both parties the opportunity to audition for potential 2028 candidacies, as Democrats remains without a clear voice after November's election loss and Republicans inch toward a post-Trump future.

A pre-midterm gathering could also give Democrats a chance to catch up on fundraising and boost public visibility.

LOL. They don't benefit from public visibility. Very much the opposite.

As for fundraising -- yes, the Democrat-Media Cult is far behind the GOP. But I don't think a convention will change that.

At the top level, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is struggling to build a war chest in the face of Republican dominance, according to Politico, with the DNC raising around $15 million by the end of June as compared to the Republican National Committee (RNC) with $80 million.

Politico found that major Democratic donors have held back from donating in the aftermath of Trump's dominant win, and have failed to generate enthusiasm among small-dollar donors, leading to the lowest funding level for the DNC at any point in the last five years.

To be honest it sounds like the Democrat-Media Cult wants to pre-nominate Gavin Newsom, before the 2028 cycle even begins. They are very much a top-down party of unthinking ants and mindless vermin, and they need a Queen to lead them.

The other thing they'll probably want to celebrate is... Taylor Swift's engagement.

NYT: A Foreign Intelligence Service Intercepted Emails In Which John Bolton Shared Classified Information With Friends and Family Members

No one is, as they say, above the law.

This investigation began during the Biden Captivity. Of course, they declined to prosecute.

But they did investigate.

It is not clear what country intercepted Mr. Bolton's private emails, but the investigation into President Trump's former national security adviser picked up momentum under the Biden administration.

If it turns out to be Israel, Tucker Carlson won't know what to think! He'll probably ask Darryl Cooper.

The investigation into President Trump's former national security adviser, John R. Bolton, began to pick up momentum during the Biden administration, when U.S. intelligence officials collected information that appeared to show that he had mishandled classified information, according to people familiar with the inquiry.

The United States gathered data from an adversarial country's spy service, including emails with sensitive information that Mr. Bolton, while still working in the first Trump administration, appeared to have sent to people close to him on an unclassified system, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive case that remains open.

So it's Hillary Clinton's bathroom server all over again.

Black Orchid points out the word "adversarial," which I missed, meaning this isn't Israel, and could just be Russia.

The investigation of Mr. Bolton, who has become an ardent critic of the president, burst back into public view last week when federal agents searched his Maryland home and Washington office.

While those searches have raised fresh questions about the extent to which Mr. Trump may be using the Justice Department and F.B.I. to try to punish those he dislikes, the new details of the case present a more complex chain of events. The disclosures suggest that a long-running investigation into Mr. Bolton's activities changed over time, with some of the issues echoing past inquiries into the handling of national security secrets.

The emails in question, according to the people, were sent by Mr. Bolton and included information that appeared to derive from classified documents he had seen while he was national security adviser. Mr. Bolton apparently sent the messages to people close to him who were helping him gather material that he would ultimately use in his 2020 memoir, "The Room Where It Happened."

In a sign of the stakes for Mr. Bolton, he is in talks to retain the high-profile criminal defense lawyer Abbe Lowell. Mr. Lowell, who has represented Mr. Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Mr. Biden's son Hunter, is defending two other prominent perceived enemies of Mr. Trump who are now under scrutiny: the New York state attorney general, Letitia James, and Lisa Cook, a member of the Federal Reserve Board.

One major reason for conducting the searches was to see if Mr. Bolton possessed material that matched or corroborated the intelligence agency material, which, if found, would indicate that the emails found in the possession of the foreign spy service were genuine, the people said.

A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment. Through a representative, Mr. Bolton declined to comment.

Two federal judges authorized the warrants for the F.B.I. to conduct the searches. To obtain the search warrants, prosecutors would have had to show that they had reason to believe that Mr. Bolton possessed evidence that showed he could have mishandled classified information.

The FBI's raid on John Bolton's home and office is tied to an investigation that reaches beyond his controversial book, a source told Fox News Digital, fueling speculation that the former Trump adviser could face criminal charges.

The scope of any potential charges against Bolton, who served under President Donald Trump before falling out of favor with him in 2019, is uncertain, but experts tend to agree that Bolton has some legal exposure.

Prominent D.C.-based attorney Mark Zaid, who specializes in national security, said that while there are many unknowns about the Department of Justice's investigation into Bolton, his memoir, "The Room Where It Happened," could be an area of vulnerability for him.

"With respect to Bolton's book, he is potentially vulnerable if he maintains any copies of early drafts which were determined to contain 'voluminous' amounts of classified information when it was first submitted to the White House for review," Zaid told Fox News Digital. "Those drafts were likely disseminated, per normal course of business, to his literary agent, publisher and lawyer."

Peter Navarro writes in The Hill about the finding by a court that Bolton had disclosed classified information in his "cash-in" book. The judge, however, declined to stop the book's publication, as 200,000 copies had already been printed and the secrets Bolton disclosed were now already well-publicized.

John Bolton (an occasional contributor to The Hill) may well wind up in prison, too if investigators uncover evidence and prosecutors decide to bring charges over his alleged classified disclosures.

When Bolton wrote his book, "The Room Where It Happened" -- reportedly receiving a $2 million advance -- he wasn't just dishing gossip. He was sharing information about Oval Office conversations and national security that should have stayed secret -- either by law or under executive privilege.

A federal judge already spelled this out in black and white. In June 2020, Judge Royce Lamberth warned that Bolton had "likely jeopardized national security by disclosing classified information in violation of his nondisclosure agreement obligations." The judge only allowed the book to hit shelves because "the horse is already out of the barn," given the publication of excerpts and the shipment of 200,000 copies of the book.

Lamberth went further in his ruling, stressing that Bolton had "gambled with the national security of the United States" and that the government was "likely to succeed on the merits" of proving he unlawfully disclosed classified material. Translation: Bolton didn't just break trust -- he may have also broken the law.

I served with Bolton, and he was far too frequently a loose cannon, bent on bombings and coups-- Doctor Strangelove with a mustache. He agitated for airstrikes, pushed regime-change fantasies, and obsessed over military solutions when diplomacy was working. Then, instead of honoring executive privilege and confidential debate, Bolton acknowledged that in writing his memoir he relied on the "copious notes" he had conspicuously taken inside the White House.

That isn't service. That isn't patriotism. That's profiteering off of America's secrets.

The Morning Rant: Guns, Mental Illness, And "Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy"

Let's start with the obvious: any law that restricts our God-given, natural right to self defense and our ability to combat tyranny needs to be very carefully examined before it is enacted. As the saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with gun-control laws."

The 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution is clear: "Shall not be infringed" is simple and declarative and very difficult to misinterpret.

Yet there are people who should not have access to weapons. That is also clear. Violent felons is a tough one, but more than one felony conviction will do it for me. Notice I wrote "conviction!" Those ridiculous and freedom-stealing "red flag laws" are an affront to our constitution and should be eliminated from our legal system. Confiscation because some angry wife in the middle of a divorce, telling some magistrate that she is afraid of her soon-to-be ex-husband's guns, is not the proper use of government power.

And what about the lunatics? Should they have access to weapons? Let's get even more specific! What about the deeply psychotic body-dysmorphia-suffering transsexual, deep into a poorly-understood regimen of incredibly powerful drugs that are busily tweaking his brain?

Otherwise known as gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) (or sometimes hormone replacement therapy (HRT)). Wow...that's a mouthful! And a big lie. Of course it isn't "affirming" anything; it is destroying the the very way that men and women think and feel and act, and in the process replacing those things with a miasma of competing impulses that the human brain and body is incapable of handling.

No wonder these people attempt suicide at an alarming rate. No wonder they seem terminally angry and sad and manic and depressed...sometimes all at once! We have allowed a psychological disorder to govern its sufferers, instead of treating that disorder and attempting to bring their behaviors back into the range of normal or common or simply functional.

Imagine an otherwise normal 15-year-old girl who sees an obese 250 pound person in the mirror. She begins to starve herself to satisfy her psychologically damaged self-image. Do we celebrate her diet and help her to by smaller clothing? No! We treat her psychosis and, if necessary, compel the issue by force-feeding her. How does that differ from a man looking in the mirror and seeing a woman?

So should society be honest with itself and admit that transsexualism is an issue fraught with danger? That those who suffer from it are a much greater risk to society than most? Should the beginning of GAHT or HRT automatically trigger the equivalent of a red flag law? At least it will be based on some objective criteria rather than the fury of a disgruntled neighbor or spouse!

Good morning kids. Of course the big story this morning is yet another sick, twisted Democrat Leftist committed an act of mass terrorism by gunning down Catholic school children in Minneapolis as they were gathered in prayer.

The fiend who committed this act of barbarity was yet again a transexual. Frankly, I'm sick to death of decent people being preyed upon by these psychopaths as well as illegal alien rapists and murderers on top of our own indigenous rapists and murderers who are all collectively protected and defended by the Left by being transmogrified as victims in need of protection. or worse as was the case with that Mangione scum as the heroic avengers fighting white supremacy, Christian nationalism and the illegitimate racist colonialist nation of the USA.

And of course with the bodies not even cold, the Leftist politicians who created and fueled the murderers with their incessant drumbeat of division and fear are standing on the corpses of the victims and demanding the disarming of the citizenry and worst of all as exemplified by these glittering examples of degeneracy and human garbage:

Democrats have chosen to turn the cruel tragedy at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday into an opportunity to mock the faith the victims profess.

It’s a horrible tragedy any time children die, but to be murdered while attending Mass at your school in the first week back should cause any person with a heart to weep. Still, Democrats, like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, are telling Christians to ignore key tenets of their faith.

And as Daniel Greenfield notes:

“I have heard about a whole lot of hate that’s being directed at our trans community,” Frey complained. “Anybody who is using this … as an opportunity to villainize our trans community,” he told CNN, had lost touch with humanity. He urged rallying and standing for the “trans community”.

Obviously what Frey really meant was that the shooting needed to be used (like all shootings” to villainize gun owners, a conservative group, rather than men who think they’re women, a liberal group.

But nobody is villainizing a ‘community’. They’re villainizing those who create broken people like Robert Westman who had ‘treatment’ approved as a minor with disastrous results to his state of mind. There’s a reason suicide and homicide rates are so high among people who have delusions and whose delusions are then overlaid with dangerous and unnecessary treatments that warp their state of mind and destroy their lives.

Much like with Islamic terrorism, rather than deal with what’s going on behind the scenes to operationalize these attacks, politicians hide behind portraying a ‘community’ facing ‘hate’. It’s dishonest and people can see through it.

Bingo. The only "community" facing hate and in reality existential peril, so long as a single Democrat/Leftist is in power in any elected office or bureaucracy anywhere is the community of sane, normal, moral God-fearing Americans.

Back in the late 60's a riot broke out at a gay bar called the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan's Greenwich Village when the police arrived to allegedly harass and or arrest the patrons. That riot and indeed that location has been magically transmogrified by the Godless heathen Leftists into a combination Lexington & Concord/Bar Kochba Revolt and a site as holy if not holier than Calvary.

If Satan-worshipping bastards like Jacob Frey and his evil coven of Democrat/Leftists do not cease and desist their quest for absolute power that has wasted millions of lives and spilled an ocean of blood in their accursed lust to enslave the nation and its people, one day an incident like yesterday in Minneapolis will perhaps engender (not transgender) a Stonewall like reaction against him and his ilk that will beggar the imagination. Please God.

CBD and I marveled on the latest episode of the podcast the incredible bravery of that 14-year-old Scottish girl who in defending herself and her little sister from an Islamic barbarian intent on raping them and in so doing is not being hailed as a heroine, but has the full weight of the Scottish government pressing down on her for being Islamophobic.

Perhaps one day, 200 million or more of of us will be sick and tired of getting mowed down by transexual deviants, communists, Muslims, Abrego-Garcias, Trayvons, Antifa/BLM goons, and all the rest of the Democrat-Left brownshirts — And we will react like that brave Scottish lass.

On that nugget of wishful thinking, I also note this little ray of hope:

"Invite the CAIR Philly staff for a training to educators and staff on cultural competency, anti-bullying, and inclusive practices."

New: The Democratic consulting firm Arabella Advisors -- which oversees the largest liberal dark money network in the United States -- is the force behind a self-styled black Communist 'solidarity' magazine ["Hammer & Hope"] boosting Hamas talking points online, tax forms show.

Arabella's group New Venture Fund has sought to distance itself from fringe Palestinian terror-linked groups such as Alliance for Global Justice -- but it is the sole backer of Hammer & Hope. The outfit's leaders are alums or work for @Princeton and @nytimes: writers include Angela Davis.

All of Hammer & Hope's funding in fiscal 2023, $150,000, came from the New Venture Fund.

In the preceding fiscal 2022, Hammer & Hope raked in $1.5 million from the New Venture Fund through a registered nonprofit group for its publisher in New York called the Black Radical Project. Officials made no mention of politics in cutting ties with a network of nonprofit funds, but Bill Gates has made other moves to insulate the charity from political pressures.

America's largest charitable foundation has quietly ceased backing a nonprofit network closely associated with the Democratic Party and criticized by conservatives, a symbolically significant blow to a powerful player in liberal politics.

The Gates Foundation decided in late June to halt making grants to nonprofit funds administered by the consulting firm Arabella Advisors, according to an internal foundation announcement reviewed by The New York Times.

That decision, attributed to the foundation's chief executive, Mark Suzman, has sparked unease in the world of progressive philanthropy. Some nonprofits that work with Arabella are already seeking distance from the firm in order to preserve their relationships with the Gates Foundation, which primarily supports health initiatives around the globe.

In addition to its consulting work on behalf of nonprofits and philanthropists, Arabella also manages several "dark money" funds that support Democrats and the progressive movement.

For the organizations that the foundation's grants ultimately support, large sums are on the line. The Gates Foundation has disbursed or pledged about $450 million to nonprofit funds administered by Arabella over the last sixteen years, according to the foundation's records. It is one of the earliest, and largest, backers of nonprofit funds managed by Arabella.

In its internal announcement, dated June 24 and sent to some Gates employees who oversee grant programs, foundation officials did not mention politics. Instead, they cited a desire to engage more directly with grant recipients and cut back on the use of intermediaries like Arabella entities.

Mr. Trump made scrapping foreign aid and dismantling the vast global health infrastructure intertwined with the Gates Foundation among his very first orders of business. More broadly, he and his Republican allies have embarked on a campaign to cripple the machinery of the left, including directing the Justice Department to investigate ActBlue, the leading Democratic fund-raising platform.

RFKJr. Rescinds the "Emergency Use Authorizations" That Allowed the Covid Non-Vaccines to Be Used Without Proper Testing

This will end covid vaccine mandates, he says, though he says they will remain available for those at-risk.

To be honest, I'm not sure this makes any difference, because the two main covid non-vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, both subsequently got full FDA authorization in 2021 and 2022.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had rescinded emergency use authorizations (EUAs) for COVID-19 vaccines, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Wednesday, saying the move was made to end vaccine mandates.

In a post on the social platform X, Kennedy wrote, "I promised 4 things: 1. to end the emergency. 2. to end covid vaccine mandates. 3. to keep vaccines available to people who want them, especially the vulnerable. 4. to demand placebo-controlled trials from companies."

"In a series of FDA actions today we accomplished all four goals. The emergency use authorizations for Covid vaccines, once used to justify broad mandates on the general public during the Biden administration, are now rescinded," he added.

"FDA has now issued marketing authorization for those at higher risk: Moderna (6+ months), Pfizer (5+), and Novavax (12+). These vaccines are available for all patients who choose them after consulting with their doctors."

EUAs are granted to medical products by the FDA when no approved, alternative product is available. The COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna were both made available through EUAs prior to receiving full FDA approval in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Last month, the FDA granted full approval to Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for at-risk children, making it the first vaccine available for children aged between 6 months and 11 years of age not through an EUA.

Doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been available to all children regardless of risk factors, but Kennedy announced earlier this year that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would no longer be recommending the shots for healthy children and pregnant women.

Trump should announce a national commission to investigate trans gender violence and appoint the appropriate people to research and report.

No science has been done on this, because the lunatics behind this know what a study would show. The only "science" we have is reports from butchers doing the surgeries and big pharma companies making money on mental illness. They have, of course, absolutely spectacular conflicts of interest on the subject, but that's the way the deranged Regime likes it.

Almost no one ever "just" says the reaction should be about thoughts and prayers -- even the conservative Christians with whom Frey disagrees on gun control believe in policy solutions of their own. (Arming teachers, tighter security, etc.) He just doesn't like those solutions, which is fine. But it's really time to retire this cheap hit on people of faith, especially in cases where they're actually the direct targets of an attack. Those little kids don't believe the prayers they were saying today shield them from earthly tragedy or excuse them from doing good works. Frey can make his point about guns just as well without this tired jab.

Trump: We Should Prosecute George and Alex Soros for Funding Violent Riots

It's an idea, though I imagine they fund groups who in turn fund groups who in turn fund the violent extremists.

Just like Fauci employing multiple cut-out subgrantees to fund the creation of covid-19 in China.

In other words: They'd never be able to prove the case, and don't even get me started on Blue City Juries.

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that progressive megadonor George Soros and his son "should be charged with RICO" for supporting "violent protests" across the U.S.

"George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America," Trump posted on Truth Social.

"We're not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to 'BREATHE,' and be FREE," he added. "Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we're watching you! Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Soros has donated, often through nonprofits, to various progressive causes. He has also supported the campaigns of progressive district attorneys across the country.

A spokesperson from Soros' Open Society Foundations told Just the News in a statement on Wednesday: "These accusations are outrageous and false. The Open Society Foundations do not support or fund violent protests. Our mission is to advance human rights, justice, and democratic principles at home and around the world. We stand for fundamental freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, including the rights to free speech and peaceful protest that are hallmarks of any vibrant democracy."

Soros funded the pro-Hamas organization with the outrageously fake name "Jewish Voices for Peace" that stormed the Capitol just weeks after the 10/7 slaughter of Israelis.

Strangely, DC prosecutors did not charge these paraders and official-business-disruptors with any crimes.

Through Soros's philanthropic work, JVP was awarded several grants totaling $650,000 that bankrolled its "human rights" campaign and "social welfare activities" in the Middle East, according to a grant database maintained by the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, the central hub of the financier's anti-capitalist, redistributionist network. The Soros-branded Open Society Policy Center Inc. -- once the second-largest spender on federal lobbying after the U.S. Chamber of Commerce -- donated $150,000 and $200,000 in 2021 and 2019, respectively, to the Jewish Voice for Peace Action Incorporated, JVP's tax-exempt 501(c)(3). And, in 2017, Soros's primary grant-giving vehicle, the Foundation to Promote Open Society, gifted JVP $300,000.

As Spencer points out, like its Orwellian title, JVP does not act in good faith. The Jewish-in-name-only JVP is not Jewish, nor is it peace-seeking; JVP is as opportunistically "Jew-ish" as George Santos and as peaceful as the fiery Black Lives Matter protests.

"Deploying its 'Jewish' identity in attacking Israel is JVP's métier, one might say its purpose. The cutting edge of this work [...] is to deflect accusations of anti-Semitism..." Commentary contributor Joshua Muravchik explains in a deep-dive on JVP's duplicitous nature. "Were it not for the strategic advantage of speaking 'as Jews,' it is likely that some of the self-described 'progressive and leftist' activists who constitute JVP's membership would have little interest in belonging to a Jewish organization." Indeed, some JVP's members are not Jews. Rather, it's a collection of radical-left ideologues "who realize that their lineage affords special leverage in attacking Israel," Muravchik puts it. "Nowhere does JVP evince any genuine interest in Judaism or in the well-being of the Jewish people or any reverence for the accouterments of Jewish life -- holidays, prayers, ceremonial garments, Hebrew words -- that it appropriates as props or adornments in its impassioned campaign for Palestinian vanquishment of Israel."

On its old FAQ page, prior to revisions, JVP acknowledged, "No you don't" "have to be Jewish to join." Simply, JVP is "inspired by Jewish values and traditions."

But I imagine he's got a Fauci-like series of dummy groups between him and antifa.

Related: the other day I faulted Trump for signing an EO ordering federal agents and prosecutors to arrest and charge people for burning the flag.

That's not what he did.

The left has created a Fake Law that says that if a leftist commits a crime while also committing an arguable act of free expression, the arguable act of free expression automatically immunizes them from prosecution for their crimes.

Thus every blue city judge sets antifa rioters and terrorists free after three hours in the county clink, sentencing them to "time served." The left feels that if you're pushing a political position -- only a left-wing position, you understand -- you gain immunity for all criminal action taken while pushing that position.

That is not the law and never has been, though it is currently the de facto law.

Don't worry: No one on the right ever has the benefit of this law. Grandmothers are sent to prison for years for merely praying outside of an abortion clinic, and J6 defendants are prosecuted for assault for throwing a bag of potato chips at a cop.

(Note that no judge or jury thought that the J6er was "overcharged" for that.)

Trump's EO instructed federal agents and prosecutors to stop treating this Fake Law as if it's the actual law. If someone commits a crime, like incitement to riot, that crime should be prosecuted, even if the incitement took the form of burning a flag. The speech element of the crime does not immunize the criminal from prosecution from the crime element of the crime.

Similarly, it's generally illegal to burn anything in public -- burning a flag shouldn't be an exception to the law.

Some asshole burned the flag in a federal park and got arrested. Good.

Evidence is emerging of the suspected shooter in Minneapolis and appears to be psychotic, manic 22-year-old young man, possibly trans, who left an 11-minute manifesto video on YouTube just hours before the shooting happened. The video has been taken down. The suspect wrote notes on the weapons he used including "Kill Trump Now!," "McVeigh," "Where is Your God?," "Burn Israel" and "6 million was not enough." He had a human-shaped target with Jesus's face attached to it.

Hatred destroys the soul.

No one wanted to call the cops on this obviously diseased ticking time bomb, huh?

Of Course: Lawless Partisan DC Jury Refuses to Indict Left-Wing Hysteric Who Threw a Sandwich at ICE Officers

We need to permit defendants, and prosecutors, to remove their cases to neutral jurisdictions if they can show that the jurisdiction they're in is politically biased.

Federal prosecutors on Tuesday were unable to persuade a grand jury to approve a felony indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent on the streets of Washington this month, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The grand jury's rejection of the felony charge was a remarkable failure by the U.S. attorney's office in Washington and the second time in recent days that a majority of grand jurors refused to vote to indict a person accused of felony assault on a federal agent. It also amounted to a sharp rebuke by a panel of ordinary citizens against the prosecutors assigned to bring charges against people arrested after President Trump's deployment of National Guard troops and federal agents to fight crime and patrol the city's streets.

It remained unclear if prosecutors planned to try again to obtain an indictment against Mr. Dunn, 37, a former Justice Department paralegal. They could also forgo seeking felony charges and refile his case as a misdemeanor, which does not require an indictment to move forward.

Before he threw the sandwich, the complaint asserts, Mr. Dunn stood within inches of the officer, calling him and his colleagues "fascists" and shouting, "I don't want you in my city!"

Conservatives cannot endure being convicted by rabid leftists over nothing while guilty-as-sin leftists are set free.

I have no idea why people don't take this issue seriously.

I have a guess: Boomer National Review-style fake conservatives always interpose a dreamy ideal of what America should be like to distract from what America actually is. They want it to be the case that jurors in all jurisdictions deliver fair verdicts untainted by bias, and therefore they insist that that is the case, and we'll just have to "work harder" if we want justice.

I'm sick to death of these people. They're not idealistic, they're simply cravenly denying reality.

Moral maturity means accepting the world as it is, not in insisting the world is different than it is and basing policy on that child-like dream of a false world. The National Review types think they're being virtuous by insisting, along with Candide, that we live in the best of all possible worlds.

That's not virtue, that's being obtuse.

They claim this makes them "happy warriors." It doesn't. It makes them saps and saboteurs in league with the left.

The left is waging war on us and the National Review types just tip their fedoras and say, "Huh-hoh! Good sport, jolly good sport indeed!"

There have been four mass shootings in Tim Walz's Somalia suburb of Minnesota in the past 24 hours.

NBC "News:"

"The level of gun violence across the city within the last day is deeply unsettling," the Minneapolis Police Department said in a news release. "Across three separate multiple-victim shootings, eight people have been injured by gunfire and three have lost their lives."

The attack at Annunciation Church would be the fourth deadly shooting in Minneapolis in less than 24 hours. In the most recent shooting, one man was killed and another injured at 2:08 a.m. in downtown Minneapolis.

It Must Be How We're Saying It

Whether or not it has staying power - or results in lasting reform - remains to be seen, but it has become undeniable that the Left has been taking a drubbing recently. Society has not exactly turned on its gimbals and lurched the other direction, but it is more aggressively pushing back on the leftist takeover of everything. Examples abound. American Eagle. Bud Light. Cracker Barrel. The SEC sorority dances. The contempt and refusal to bend the knee and call the Estronauts heroine space pilots. The tentative first steps in the crackdown on DEI.

And with these baby steps away from rigidly-enforced leftist conformity, the Democrats are finally concerned that their position at the center of Left Pole is not conducive to continued success. Sort of. Perhaps more precisely, they are concerned that the perception of the Party as being at the center of radical leftism is harmful. As always, it isn't what they do, say or believe. The problem is, of course, merely how they describe it. It's the wording. It's a "messaging problem."

Mr. President, considering the state of American culture and politics over the past 60 years, the names Bill Ayers, Ted Kaczynski, Luigi Mangione, Rashid Khalidi, John Brennan, and on and on and on, it is evident that our college system is not going to hell. Our college system, and much of Pre-K to 12 is in fact HELL ITSELF by virtue of what its graduates have wrought. What we are suffering this very day, from open borders, to transexual madness, to Wokeness, DEI, racial grievance and anti-Americanism and anti-free market capitalism to censorship, crime and dissolution in our cities that resulted in your calling up of the National Guard, is a result of the nightmare vision that was nurtured in our universities to begin with. And from the admirers of Mao Tse-Tung, one of history's greatest mass murderers, who Xi is an ardent admirer and acolyte...

The same people who defend burning the American flag as a sacred expression of free speech. Ironic given President Trump's move to criminalize flag burning . . .

Republican New Hampshire House candidate Lily Tang Williams on Tuesday warned that allowing more Chinese students to migrate to the U.S. would not be a smart move for the country. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would enable 600,000 students from China to study in the U.S. Williams said on “Fox & Friends First” that Chinese citizens are legally compelled to assist the Chinese government or else face repercussions and therefore must “be very carefully vetted.” “Well, people have to understand there are different kinds of Chinese students: people like me who come here in the 1980s and 1990s, really want to come here, live under freedom and the land of free, for opportunity to have better lives,” Williams said. “Then later, after China joined the WTO [World Trade Organization] they’re still going to come here. They are the wealthy, powerful children and they come here with a certain test to perform.” “Now, with [Chinese President] Xi Jinping’s Chinese national security and intelligence laws, they have to actually assist, to perform tasks for the Chinese government asks them to perform. Otherwise there will be serious consequences,” she continued. “Anybody who carries Chinese passport potentially needs to be very carefully vetted. And so I think this is not a good idea right now. And plus, we have so many come in during the [former President Joe] Biden years through the southern border. And where are they? Are they all out of our country yet? And are they vetted?”

Vetting even one let alone all 600,000 is impossible, given the limited resources and the fact that Red China is about as repressive, closed and impenetrable as a police state can get.

Psaki-psircling back to President Trump's move to criminalize burning the American Flag, as the owner of a 48-star flag presented to my grandfather at the burial of his son (my uncle) who gave his life on the green hell of Saipan, yes that flag to me and all of you is indeed sacred. But as a free speech absolutist and as painful as it is to witness, if some piece of shit wants to burn a flag, so be it. The problem becomes prosecuting anyone who burns a homosexual rainbow flag or who dares utter the holy of holy words that begins with "N" and BIGGERs the imagination.

Viral fame is proving plenty damaging for Shiloh Hendrix, the Minnesota mom catapulted to notoriety in April for her use of racial slurs. The Rochester City Attorney’s Office is now moving to bring three counts of Disorderly Conduct against Hendrix, according to KTTC News. Hendrix may face up to 90 days in jail, and/or a $1,000 fine, reports the outlet. . .

The legal complaint submitted to a district court judge reads, according to KTTC, “[Hendrix] wrongfully and unlawfully engaged in offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous, or noisy conduct, or in offensive obscene, or abusive language that would reasonably tend to arouse alarm, anger, or resentment in others.” (RELATED: US Will ‘Soon’ Have ‘Illegal Hate Speech’ Laws, World Economic Forum Panelist Tells Brian Stelter)

Is speech that arouses anger now verboten? Or speech that inspires resentment? 

If so, I suppose we’d all better pray whatever guy we like wins the next election. He — and his appointees — will be the ones deciding which words are too inflammatory to fall on the public’s ears.

It's not about the speech per se, it's about who gets to define what is and what is not permissible and ultimately the nature of the First Amendment and the nature of our society insofar as the aforementioned is one of if not the premier cornerstone of said society.

The Associated Press headlined their piece: “Trump moves to ban flag burning despite Supreme Court ruling that Constitution allows it.” The article included “experts” about free speech and emphasized the Supreme Court’s 1989 ruling.

But when Pride flags are burned, none of these outlets show the same concern for the First Amendment. When “two rainbow pride flags were set on fire outside of a gay bar” in New York, it was part of a spike in “hate crimes,” as written by The Times’ Sharon Otterman. No mention of free speech, no reminder of Texas v. Johnson or the First Amendment.

In 2019, CNN reported on an Iowa man sentenced to years in prison for burning an LGBT flag that was hanging from a church. The act was treated as a hate crime. Similarly, no mention of free speech or the first amendment.
