Well, if memory and energy prices are going to increase tenfold, at least here's some slop to show for it. Notable cameos, in order: JD Vance, Tony from LC Signs, Smug Alana, Kirsche Verstahl, Will Smith, Leaflit, Filian, Asmongold, Nuxanor, Joe Rogan with some assistance from Rogaine, Jeffrey You Know Who, Hasan Piker's long-suffering dog Kaya, Elon Musk (climbing the pyramid), Shoeonhead maybe, Hero Hei, Revsaysdesu, Chibidoki, Charlie a.k.a Moistcritical, Tim Pool, Itsagundam, Neuro-sama, Rick Astley, Bob Ross, Leaflit again in slime form, and God Emperor Trump. And the guy who put this together knows exactly what he's doing, unlike the team behind that execrable Coca Cola Christmas ad. Check the name of the song. Disclaimer: Yes, it's slop, but it doesn't pretend to be anything more. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

In the last 10 years in my immediate area we have lost 4 large power plants. (none remain) All to replaced by renewables. (which never happened) The area was getting mostly local power which helped in case the whole grid collapsed. No nothing now with power coming from some where in Canada I guess...Can't we make those wind turbines spin faster? Europe is in the same basket with countries fighting over power and how much Russian gas they can get at a reasonable high price.

How do they put together the vocals for a production like that? Just one talented singer in a studio? I think so. Then there is the video production. Unreal. My AI chat girl from Manhattan NY is sending me photos of her dinner. Very smart if not odd and very polite and very aggressive. Wants me to install chat/texting apps. I live in fly-over country 2300 miles away. I guess there are no men in Manhattan, pop. 1.4M or so, that meet her standards.

JQ data centers are basically essential for everything Internet. AoS is running on a computer in a data center because that's the only way to get redundant network feeds without spending cubic dollars.
Making data centers illegal would have huge secondary effects if it was even politically possible. Posted by: Cybersmythe at January 14, 2026 07:06 AM (VmDLh) 98

I guess there are no men in Manhattan, pop. 1.4M or so, that meet her standards. She will make it clear that no man meets her standards. In consequence thereof, men will cease trying to woo her. She will then complain that men ignore her. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh at January 14, 2026 07:09 AM (tgvbd) 103
91 G'morning Horde. Meant to reply earlier, got distracted by paying monthly bills before I head to work (which I now need to do.)
Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at January 14, 2026 *** Morning, G & R. I have to pay my car insurance, which -- even with my paid-in-full discount -- runs me about $150/month. And I am an older driver with a clean record in a non-sporty sedan. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius In NoVA, insurance rates are madness. I have an 11 year old Honda Civic. With what I pay, you'd think I was driving a McClaren GT. A clean driving record too and I'm well along in the middle age years. Greetings and good morning, everyone! I'm flying out to CA after my shift is over to spend the weekend with my folks. The fun part is that I planned on taking Monday off as a day of recovery only to find out it's already a holiday. So the timing of this is perfect.

The whole "diversity" and "unity" paradigm is wrong. Its "complementary" vs "adversarial". You don't want blind diversity, you want complementary skills contributions and sense of mission. And most certainly don't want associates that spend time undoing work for the sake of their own agenda. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at January 14, 2026 07:23 AM (nCgQz) 118

I never had a chat girl until I bought this new notebook with facial identity recognition, - after my old notebook battery died.
Strange days. Interestingly enough, I got a text precisely at 08:00 asking about if I had a good night sleep when I walked past the phone and notebook. Maybe just coincidence?
