Secrets of the Libs of TikTok, Part 2

nytimesadmitsdetransition.jpg

The article blames "right-wing demagogues" for "inflaming the debate," but that's something the NYT says every single day.

The Admission Against Interest here is that trans demagogues are pushing their own "extremist" agenda.

As Kids, They Thought They Were Trans. They No Longer Do.

Growing up in a relatively conservative community in Grand Rapids, Mich., Powell, like many teenagers, didn't feel comfortable in her own skin. She was unpopular and frequently bullied. Puberty made everything worse. She suffered from depression and was in and out of therapy.

"I felt so detached from my body, and the way it was developing felt hostile to me," Powell told me. It was classic gender dysphoria, a feeling of discomfort with your sex.

Reading about transgender people online, Powell believed that the reason she didn't feel comfortable in her body was that she was in the wrong body. Transitioning seemed like the obvious solution. The narrative she had heard and absorbed was that if you don't transition, you'll kill yourself.

At 17, desperate to begin hormone therapy, Powell broke the news to her parents. They sent her to a gender specialist to make sure she was serious. In the fall of her senior year of high school, she started cross-sex hormones. She had a double mastectomy the summer before college, then went off as a transgender man named Grayson to Sarah Lawrence College, where she was paired with a male roommate on a men's floor. At 5-foot-3, she felt she came across as a very effeminate gay man.

At no point during her medical or surgical transition, Powell says, did anyone ask her about the reasons behind her gender dysphoria or her depression. At no point was she asked about her sexual orientation. And at no point was she asked about any previous trauma, and so neither the therapists nor the doctors ever learned that she'd been sexually abused as a child.

"I wish there had been more open conversations," Powell, now 23 and detransitioned, told me. "But I was told there is one cure and one thing to do if this is your problem, and this will help you."

Progressives often portray the heated debate over childhood transgender care as a clash between those who are trying to help growing numbers of children express what they believe their genders to be and conservative politicians who won't let kids be themselves.

But right-wing demagogues are not the only ones who have inflamed this debate. Transgender activists have pushed their own ideological extremism, especially by pressing for a treatment orthodoxy that has faced increased scrutiny in recent years. Under that model of care, clinicians are expected to affirm a young person's assertion of gender identity and even provide medical treatment before, or even without, exploring other possible sources of distress.

Many who think there needs to be a more cautious approach -- including well-meaning liberal parents, doctors and people who have undergone gender transition and subsequently regretted their procedures -- have been attacked as anti-trans and intimidated into silencing their concerns.

..

Powell's story shows how easy it is for young people to get caught up by the pull of ideology in this atmosphere.

"What should be a medical and psychological issue has been morphed into a political one," Powell lamented during our conversation. "It's a mess."

Per this next passage, you'd almost think that transgenderism was now a social contagion or something:

Laura Edwards-Leeper, the founding psychologist of the first pediatric gender clinic in the United States, said that when she started her practice in 2007, most of her patients had longstanding and deep-seated gender dysphoria. Transitioning clearly made sense for almost all of them, and any mental health issues they had were generally resolved through gender transition.

"But that is just not the case anymore," she told me recently.

...

Most of her patients now, she said, have no history of childhood gender dysphoria. Others refer to this phenomenon, with some controversy, as rapid onset gender dysphoria, in which adolescents, particularly tween and teenage girls, express gender dysphoria despite never having done so when they were younger. Frequently, they have mental health issues unrelated to gender. While professional associations say there is a lack of quality research on rapid onset gender dysphoria, several researchers have documented the phenomenon, and many health care providers have seen evidence of it in their practices.

"The population has changed drastically," said Edwards-Leeper, a former head of the Child and Adolescent Committee for the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, the organization responsible for setting gender transition guidelines for medical professionals.

I see this stated all the time by real doctors: That there is a thing called "gender dysphoria," but it shows itself very early and it's persistent. That is, a kid makes this claim early in life and hardly ever wavers.

This new social-contagion form of transgenderism seems to strike teenagers right at the point when most teenagers are anxious and confused. And it's very sudden, with no prior indications.

Almost like these kids got swept up into an online cult which recruited them by telling them that all of their anxieties, inadequacies, depressions and pains could be cured just by changing genders.

The rest of the article is here.

Colorado is plotting to allow trans people with felony sexual criminal histories to escape their pasts by legally changing their names.

Note that felons are usually not permitted to legally change their names, for the very reason that we don't want criminals to be able to slip off their identity and pass as law-abiding citizens.

But we must break all the rules to Affirm Trannies!

I am proud and honored to sponsor HB24-1071 making sure that a right that already exists is truly accessible to everyone. Trans ppl with felonies should be able to access the right to change their name to match their gender. Before you go all hater, learn more about the process.

Sarah Fields
@SarahisCensored

The man this bill was named after has had his name changed and made it very difficult for ANYONE to find his criminal past. More steps had to be taken. That's not okay.

You're not going to believe this, but trans people, who are totally not under the influence of a social contagion, are 109% more likely to claim they have the largely-social-contagion "disease" "long covid."

I'm not saying it doesn't exist.

I'm just saying that every hypochondriac claims to have it.

longcovidtransgender.jpg

I know you'll have trouble believing this, but a study shows that 80%+ of trannies have personality disorders.

This study is out of Iran. Which may give one pause, but: In what country, except a homophobic Muslim country, would any doctors or psychiatrists feel safe in reporting anything negative about transgenders? It literally gets people fired and their articles de-published in the Queer West.

Secrets of the Libs of TikTok, Part 1

Breaking: The Obama judge overseeing the DC side of Biden's lawless prosecution of the former president is delaying the trial, saying they can't make the planned Super Tuesday start date.

She'll still try to get the trial started before the election, of course. But the closer this gets to the election, the more it looks like election interference. And the DOJ has told us repeatedly that they have "policies" against interfering in an election -- at least, when their disclosures might hurt Democrats.

Will they suddenly reverse themselves and say that political prosecutions in the middle of a campaign season are fine, if it's a Republican? Most likely!

This may shock you, but evil perverts are determined to mainstream repulsive, bizarre sexual fetishes.

A new spa catering to "diaper-wearing" adults who want to role-play as young children has opened in a small town in New Hampshire, alarming some local residents.

"The Diaper Spa," in Atkinson, N.H., says it is an "ageplay-friendly, adult diaper spa" to "nurture and pamper all diaper lovers and enthusiasts in richly immersive experiences."

The spa is a "safe and judgment-free zone" for visitors to pamper themselves with "snacks...playtime, story time, nap time, cuddle time, changing time, coloring, nursery rhymes and sing-a-longs," according to its website.

Services advertised include an "Adult Baby-Diaper Lover" (ABDL) nursery spa care at $300 an hour, virtual playdates at $200 an hour, and an all-day "premier spa experience for the little one inside of you" for $1500.

"In the summer, you can play with your water wings and floaties poolside, picnic under the tree with your teddy bear, play marbles on the patio, or swing on the front porch swing and serve tea to your dollies on the porch. In the winter, we can make snow angels, build snowmen, drink hot cocoa from beneath clouds of whipped cream and sprinkles, and decorate gingerbread men or sugar cookies," the spa's website advertises.

But some residents are not happy about the new business in their small town, which sits on the border of Massachusetts with a population of 7,000, according to the 2020 census.

Mother of three Kayla Gallagher told The Eagle-Tribune that she is concerned because the spa is close to a children's park and fears it caters to clients with a sexual fetish.

"That is something that I will never be willing to expose my kids to, so now we will no longer be able to use that park," she told the paper, according to Boston.com.

...

"I'm sure there's a lot of kids that live around here, and what type of people are going to do that?" he told WHDH 7News. "People who are looking at children or being children by wearing diapers and being treated like a baby. That kind of concerns me. Who knows what that leads to."

Spa owner Dr. Colleen Ann Murphy, who said she is a board-certified integrative medicine physician and sexologist and recently settled in Atkinson, explained that her spa is meant to be a place of healing for people who've experienced trauma.

Look, I'm lazy AF and I won't pretend I don't see the convenience of Adult Snuggies.

But why must all of this be so public?

Because they're determined to mainstream it. And they want to mainstream every p3dophilia-adjacent fetish, on the way to legalizing and normalizing the Big P.

Local news report on the "Adult Diaper Spa" here.

This article is actually from last January, not last week, but it's "resurfaced" on social media so let's do this.

The white employee meeting is a struggle session where they discuss their racism and hold each other accountable for their racism.

@BriannaWu

I don't think I'm the only progressive with a ton of resentment, built up over a decade, at the fringe online left.

It's such a cancerous set of tactics. Waves of anonymous accounts acting like cops. Morally loaded language out of proportion to any issue at hand. Taking statements out of context and twisting them in dishonest ways for a dunk. An inability to provide credible sources for extraordinary claims. A total disdain for nuance.

And always, always, always, a ravenous appetite to hurt people our own side.

It's okay to use these tactics against the right though, right, Dude?

And the reputation of progressives has been destroyed accordingly.

Gamers acted like assholes towards you because you were using these dehumanizing, witch-finding tactics against them.

The culture on Twitch and YouTube is constantly documenting the hypocrisy and insanity and it's well deserved.

A decade ago, when we were more associated with policies like Medicare for All, there WAS a window for us to become the next evolution of the party. And it was utterly squandered.

I'll always be a progressive, because I think the policies are the right ones. But, it's time to admit that online progressives are too destructive to ever be a meaningful political force in America, except in the sense we are driving normal people into the arms of the right.

The Atlantic: "Is American Journalism Headed Towards an 'Extinction-Level Event'?"

Dear Jesus, please, I don't ask for much.

Is American Journalism Headed Toward an 'Extinction-Level Event'?

The news industry has been in decline for decades, but the latest round of layoffs is especially ominous.

By Paul Farhi

For a few hours last Tuesday, the entire news business seemed to be collapsing all at once. Journalists at Time magazine and National Geographic announced that they had been laid off. Unionized employees at magazines owned by Condé Nast staged a one-day strike to protest imminent cuts. By far the grimmest news was from the Los Angeles Times, the biggest newspaper west of the Washington, D.C., area. After weeks of rumors, the paper announced that it was cutting 115 people, more than 20 percent of its newsroom.

My dick's so hard it just got hired by Fani Willis.

...

What makes this so unnerving is the fact that the meltdown has come amid--and in seeming defiance of--a generally booming economy.

LOL.

Dear Diary, why doesn't anyone trust the media? Me don't understand.

...

It's the same old story, only worse. Since the 2020 presidential election, Facebook has steadily reduced the amount of news that users see in their feed, wiping out a major source of traffic and, as a result, ad revenue. Meanwhile, the 2024 cycle has yet to deliver the expected "Trump bump"--the surge of public interest and subscription revenue generated by fascination with, or alarm over, the previous president--and it may never come.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say you're not seeing a "Trump bump" BECAUSE YOU'RE ACTIVELY CENSORING ALL TRUMP STORIES.

You can't fear the devil if everyone says the devil doesn't exist!

To the contrary, some studies suggest that "news fatigue" has reduced audience demand for journalism in the post-pandemic era.

More like "fake news fatigue." We just don't believe you any more. We don't believe a word of what you say. Listening to you is like listening to cats. Cats have an agenda, a very narrow and stupid agenda, and never stop caterwauling that agenda.

Like you.

By far the greatest damage to the news ecosystem over the past 20 years has been at the local level. Nearly all of the 2,900 newspapers that have closed or merged since 2005 have been small weeklies, according to researchers at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. This has left broad swaths of the country lacking professional reporting of any kind.

Psst: They lacked "professional reporting" before, too.

...

"As local journalism declines, government officials conduct themselves with less integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness and corporate malfeasance goes unchecked," observed PEN America in a 2019 white paper. "With the loss of local news, citizens are: less likely to vote, less politically informed, and less likely to run for office." Not all citizens, though. A weakened local press corps is a gift to someone like George Santos, whose serial fabrications went mostly (if not entirely) unreported during his campaign for Congress.

Who's reporting on the excess deaths crisis? Nobody, right?

Is that because of "weakened local newspapers" or because the entire media is a corrupt leftwing propaganda machine that has the maturity of a three year old and can never admit "I was wrong"?

...

Some have called for direct and muscular government intervention.

LOL, I'll bet. We all knew this pitch was coming, right?

Policy proposals include tax credits for publications that hire reporters and for advertisers that place ads in those publications, as well as increased government spending on public-service ads.

Fuck you. I will literally join a guerilla warfare unit before I allow you to take my money to propagandize against me.

A potentially more powerful mechanism: a law compelling Google and Facebook to compensate publishers for the news content the tech companies display on their platforms.

Failing industry brainstorms rent-seeking schemes, film at 11.

...

Among those who wish Congress would act is [LA Times owner] Soon-Shiong, who responded to criticism from Democratic lawmakers by urging them to pass a law to support news organizations. "I'd like to put the question to them," he wrote, according to the Times' own coverage. "What can they do to help preserve a free and robust press, one that is instrumental in upholding our democracy?"

LOL, rich man buys into a dying industry, loses money, demands government make up his losses. Film at 11.

It's a fair question. The news industry has been in steady decline for two decades. Expecting some kind of free-market-based turnaround is lunacy. If journalism is essential for preserving democratic self-government, perhaps only democratic self-government can preserve journalism.

Or you could try not lying about everything, and demanding the government censor anyone who points out that you're lying.

But you'll never try that. So you'll have to go extinct.

And just to prove that: All through the covid hysteria, the media scolded Americans that they must accept being locked up and absolutely must accept their kids being locked out of schools. And they swore that Zoom lessons would be just as good as in-person losing.

This was a lie pushed by the teachers unions and other Democrat pressure groups.

Now that the evidence is in and the school shutdowns resulted in kids falling a year or more behind -- there is still no apology from the leftist propaganda outlets that destroyed America's children.

The devastating impact of pandemic-era policies on kids' educations is too great to ignore, although school districts are doing everything they can to hide it by lowering standards and dropping tests altogether.

The New York Times' Editorial Board member Brent Staples has a short piece on their blog The Point, that touches on this point: time is running out to do anything about the disaster, if there ever was any time available to reverse the damage in the first place.

Staples' short acknowledgment of the problem is mildly refreshing, but as Dr. Prasad points out, it obscures the fact that The New York Times bears a considerable amount of responsibility for creating this problem in the first place.

Is This Something?

I'm a big fan of the Guy Ritchie/Henry Cavill Man from UNCLE reboot, so I will definitely be seeing this.

The guy from Reacher's in it, too.

There's a character who uses a bow and arrow in firefights which might be "Mad Jack" Churchill. Apparently he was in fact a Commando. I don't know if he was part of any of the missions shown here but to be honest I think they're making 99.9% of it up so it doesn't really matter anyway.

CashApp Cougar Fani Willis: Okay, Fine, So I Used Taxpayer Money to Hire a Human Meat-Mallet to Pound My Snizz Into Thin Tender Strips Like Veal Scallopini

So I wrote that headline on January 19th, and just waited for the inevitable news that Fani Willis admitted the affair.

I finally get to hit "publish" on this gem.

Fani Willis and Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq.* faced a deadline today to respond to the disqualification motion filed by RICO defendant Michael Roman that alleges a personal conflict of interest. According to CBS News, Willis and Wade will acknowledge a "personal relationship" started in 2022 after Willis hired Wade to prosecute Georgia v Donald Trump et al.

I bet it started before. We'll see.

* Edited for clarity.

However, Willis' filing rebukes Ashleigh Merchant for 'incredibly inappropriate" intrusions on her personal life, while Honeycum denies that Willis benefited from the funds she paid him:

Lawyers for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis are preparing to formally acknowledge in a court filing that she had a romantic relationship with lawyer Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq., whom she appointed to lead the Georgia prosecution of Donald Trump, but they will vigorously push back against allegations of financial conflicts and the contention she should be disqualified from the case.

In an affidavit by Honeycum that is expected to be submitted Friday with Willis' court filing -- both obtained by CBS News -- Sweetdick states, "In 2022, District Attorney Willis and I developed a personal relationship in addition to our professional association and friendship. I have no financial interest in the outcome of the 2020 election interference case or in the conviction of any defendant. No funds paid to me in compensation for my role as Special Prosecutor have been shared with or provided to District Attorney Willis."

Edited for clarity.

Flashback: Fani Willis says vote for me -- unlike my opponent, I won't have sex with my employees or put taxpayer funds into my own pocket.

Whoops! Whoopsie!

"Male and Pale Is Stale:" Writers Sound Off on Writers Guild's Rules Aimed at Keeping White Writers From Getting Any Further Work

A few weeks ago, Film Threat revealed that the Writers Guild now required all members to identify their race with molecular precision, and also categorize themselves as to their exact sexuality, their exact "gender expression," their exact level of neurodivergence and mental illness, and on and on and on.

And they're requiring this to "aid in the hiring process" -- that is, when TV shows are looking for writers, they want to only hire non-white/non-straight/non-male pyrsyns, and the Writers Guild is eagerly assisting them in this racial/sexual discrimination.

Since then, white writers who are now unemployable -- and other Hollywood professionals similarly now without work due to the New Racism -- have written to Film Threat.

Anonymously, of course. If these emails are connected to anyone's public identity, they would literally never work again.

Though that might be just what Hollywood's aiming for anyway.

The only constant in entertainment is change. Industry veterans understand that dramatic pivots in the way that Hollywood does business are the only thing that can be counted upon. But recent shifts have veteran writers concerned. Part of this has to do with the WGA's requirement that new members "check boxes" to identify themselves so that this data may be used in the hiring process. A recent open letter to the Writers Guild of America, written by a WGA member, is saying out loud what so many in the industry fear to say. And that is that radical voices have taken hold in Hollywood and are more concerned with pushing ideology and messaging rather than entertaining an audience.

As a result, the money generated by the industry has seen a remarkably noticeable drop. The rise of the term "flop buster" (in response to so many films like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny underperforming at the box office) seems to be directly related to mainstream audiences' wholesale rejection of the over-messaging they see hijacking entertainment. Not to mention the destruction of intellectual property that normally performed successfully with fans. Box office receipts for films like The Marvels, among others, have writers questioning the wisdom of pushing identity/"the message" over storytelling with a broad appeal.

The mainstream industry trades have yet to weigh in on this open letter. However, the story has resulted in a flood of emails sent to Film Threat. These correspondences paint a picture of an industry where fear of speaking out could result in one being "blacklisted" as problematic. You must adhere to this new ideology or face the prospect of unemployment forever. A phrase we heard over and over again is this: "male and pale is stale." If one were to reword this statement another way, it may result in accusations of racism. But this view is widely accepted all over Hollywood. Like a mantra, "male and pale is stale" is driving the types of films and TV shows that get made.

What industry outsiders may not understand is that Hollywood is a freelance business where work is scarce and in the current day, one must constantly demonstrate allegiance to specific ideals or face the prospect of never working. The fear is palpable and a dominant force hanging over the heads of those who wish to simply make a living working in entertainment.

...

What follows are emails sent to Film Threat in response to the open letter to the WGA. Draw whatever conclusions you wish, but one thing is certain -- Hollywood is changing and many feel it may not be for the best.

Here's one of the letters:

I am a WGA member and wish to be anonymous.

My email isn't real as I don't want to accidentally give up an IP address and end up on a modern Black List.

I have a few stories that illustrate the hostility to 'non-diverse' writers that may be of interest:

1. Writers hired on comic book shows are told it's a POSITIVE that they are unfamiliar with the original comic book and not a fan of the existing IP because they want to do a "modern new take on the material relevant to today."

That explains a lot. This Nerdrotic video proves that to be true, showing one Marvel no-talent diversity hire after another that she was told not to bother reading the comic books, or admitting that she never read superhero comic books in her life. Subtext: But Marvel contacted me out of the blue and offered my $300,000 for writing something I had no interest in, appreciation for, or skill at, based entirely on whether my genitals were internal or external, so obviously I took their money and shat out She-Hulk scripts for them.

2. Writers are asked (a) Why this story today? How is it relevant politically today to the existing narrative they're pushing on our culture? and (b) Why are you the person to tell it? "Because I have talent and wrote it" is NOT a valid answer. What is a valid answer is, "Because I'm a member of this aggrieved group or class and only we can tell our own story.

This is interesting: On one hand, Hollywood now rejects any scripts that don't have a major black or gay or trans character.

On the other hand: Only blacks can write black characters, only gays can write gay characters, and only trans people can write tranny characters.

So if you don't include the "diverse" characters, your script gets rejected, and if you do include them -- it's also rejected, because "these aren't your stories to tell, White Man."

3. This leads to a "heads we win; tails you lose game" where if you don't include diverse characters, you're dinged for having an all-white/non-diverse cast -- regardless of the time or place of the story or historical accuracy -- and if you do have a diverse case (race / gender) then you are guilty of "cultural appropriation." This means that unless you are, for example, African-American, you are not allowed to tell a story about an African-American character. Or disabled or LGBTQI2+. Unless you ARE that specific subgroup, you can't write it.

That is really hilarious.

4. There's a bias toward the 'two-fer' or 'three-fer' hire -- being gay, for example, "isn't enough" now. You have to be gay / African-American / Latinx / undocumented / unhoused / differently-abled. Then, on the DEI scorecard, they have a 2x or 3x positive score for the hire.

I don't think I ever told you guys this, but I identify as a neorodiverse queer person of color. I'm 1/1028th Cherokee, you see, according to Family Lore.

5. To give you an idea of how competitive things are, for Only Murders in the Building there was word a staff position was available. This is the lowest-rung writing position. They received 450 scripts as writing samples for this ONE job. A manager told me these jobs would 'typically go to a BIPOC writer,' but the show decided not to hire anyone or to go in another direction.

5. The WGA has a diversity program where the Guild pays for the diversity hire's salary. Most of these writers aren't picked up after the 'free ride' expires. Many of these writers, hired only for diversity purposes, feel obligated to push stories that reflect the specific box they checked. So a transgender writer will be pitching stories exclusively about that experience.

Good, so we get to see more and more stories about a tiny, weird slice of the population that everyone is absolutely sick of and exhausted by.

Chris Gore now writes:

...

Having people who aren't fans of the IP (Star Wars, comic books, etc.) results in a product that has no respect to the existing fans. Then, when fans complain they are insulted as "toxic."

What company would make a product that insults the consumers? It's insane.

What's also not being discussed is the antisemitism behind much of the push for 'diversity.' Jews are classified as "whites" and, thus, not a minority (despite being 2% of the population and historically victims of mistreatment and genocide). The mantra is "male and pale is stale." Out with the old order and in with the new.

Anyone who questions the new orthodoxy will, of course, be denounced as "not promoting a diverse workspace" or -- worse -- "racist."

The system encourages "crybulllies" -- those who complain of oppression as a means of moving up the ladder. Push out someone higher up the chain and move up. When John Lasseter was forced out (for allegedly unrequested hugging -- yes, HUGGING), it was asked, "Can we get a woman to run this place now?"

This creates an incentive system for complaining about slights, perceived slights, or "microaggressions," and once these are documented by HR... some 'corrective action' must be taken. Training, reprimand, and the person who complained now can't be fired, or it'd be retaliatory.

Writers rooms have historically been a freewheeling place for spitballing ideas and jokes. Now, folks are on eggshells for fear of offending DEI standards -- which are forever shifting.

Another letter:

I had a pretty great career -- with a few jobs on shows I'd rather not remember. That was right up until all this DEI stuff took over. And then I stopped getting asked to join rooms run by white showrunners. They stopped being able to hire more than one or two other writers who looked like them. My last gig was for a minority showrunner and a stellar writer -- someone who could hire me. In recent years I know I've lost gigs on shows that I would've been great for. Shows where the showrunner wanted me but where the corporate bosses nixed my hiring. The excuse is always, We needed a different "balance" in the room. Look, I get it. And I'm all for diversity in this business. But now, white guys are lucky to account for even 20 percent of a room. If that. I know that most showrunners are still white dudes. I know that. But for journeyman writers like myself, who have proven themselves on show after show, with experience running rooms, being on set, in casting and in editing -- with experience working on some of the best shows in TV, it's gotten very hard. But we're not allowed to say anything to anyone about any of this. Because of our gender and skin color. We no longer check the right boxes. It's like we're supposed to just shut up and go away. But I have a family to feed, and I'm really good at my job. If any of this got out there -- it could very easily end any hope I have to continue working in this business.

Jamaal Bowman, the Trillion-Dollar-Reparations Huckster and Insurrectionist Fire Alarm Puller, Turns Out to be a "9/11 Wuz Inside Job" Conspiracy Theorist

I know what you guys are thinking, because I'm thinking it too.

You're not thinking anything. Because there are no words, there are no thoughts.

You just don't expect this kind of thing from Jamaal Bowman.

The man is the adamantine pillar around which the world spins -- you know, like Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum's powerschlong.

Twitchy quotes from the Daily Beast, which, I guess, broke this story because they got wind that someone else was about to do so:

Every entry was deleted sometime before February 2016, but the compositions preserved in archives included 137 lines of free verse from May 2011 entitled 'Recapitulate.' What begins as a meditation on a decade-plus of world events, recollecting anxiety over Y2K and controversy around the 2000 Florida recount, swiftly delves into the world of 9/11 trutherism.

"2001/Planes used as missiles/Target: The Twin Towers," a stanza on the terror attack begins. "Later in the day/Building 7/Also Collaspsed [sic]/Hmm.../Multiple explosions/Heard before/And during the collapse/Hmm..."

Bowman there invoked a favorite, disproven trope of the paranoid fringe: that the collapse of Building 7 was the result of a controlled demolition.

...

The poem then pursues even more obscure conspiratorial musings.

"Allegedly/Two other planes/The Pentagon/Pennsylvania/Hijacked by terrorist [sic]/Minimal damage done/Minimal debris found/Hmm..." he wrote.

Hmmmm....

"We blamed Osama/Went to war in Iraq/Captured Saddam/Killed him," Bowman's poem reads.

We blamed Osama. Even the Daily Bitch has a problem with this formulation.

"Bin Laden is Afghan/So we went to war there too." In fact, Bin Laden, who openly took credit for the Sept. 11 attacks, never held Afghan citizenship and was born into a billionaire Saudi family.

The Daily Birch notes that Bowman was following the conspiratorial fevers of two idiots on the internet.

In the poem, Bowman also points to the source of the falsehoods he is propagating--"Watch Loose Change/And Zeitgeist," he exhorts.

Loose Change is a viral "documentary" which has become an international laughingstock for positing that the U.S. government carried out the Sept. 11 attacks, based on a range of debunked and nonsensical assertions.

Zeitgeist, similarly a product of the message board and chain email margins of the aughties web, is a 2007 film that goes beyond preposterous fantasies about the 2001 hijackings and argues that a ring of globalist bankers controls the Federal Reserve and periodically contrives national tragedies to compel the U.S. government to embark on wars and take out greater debt

Both Zeitgeist and Loose Change were favorites of mass shooter Jared Loughner, who killed six people and injured 13 more, including then-Rep. Gabby Giffords, in a rampage in Tucson, Arizona in January 2011. And both productions enjoyed the backing of arch-conspiracy hawker Alex Jones: He served as executive producer of the "final cut" of Loose Change, and declared he agrees with "90% of Zeitgeist," further claiming that the movie drew from his own work.

Of course they had to show that Alex Jones also pushed this crap. But I guess that's fair enough. He does believe in All the Conspiracies.

There can be no mistaking that these are the subjects of Bowman's poem: He even refers to Zeitgeist director Peter Joseph by name.

"Shout out to John Perkins/William Cooper/Michael Moore/Peter Joseph/And Adam Curtis," Bowman wrote.

John Perkins is the author of the book Secrets of an Economic Hit Man, and William Cooper was a radio host and hero of the militia movement--and of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh--known for fevered ramblings about aliens, the Illuminati, and the supposed man-made origin of HIV/AIDS. Cooper died in a shoot-out with law enforcement in November 2001. Michael Moore and Adam Curtis are both left-wing documentary-makers.

I have to admit, the Daily Bitch isn't pulling too many punches here.

Bowman is basically playing the "when I was young and foolish I was young and foolish" card.

Here's the problem:

When he wrote his "Hmmm..." poems, he was a thirty-five year old man responsible for educating children.

Oh, and he says he only explored these strange theories because... he was "debating pursuing a doctorate."

Web archives show that while Bowman was a 35-year-old educator running the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action in the Bronx, he maintained an online journal at Relentless-Strongback.Blogspot.com, where he published poems and brief essays there on personal, political, and pedagogical concerns through 2014.

We'll never know what we missed out on when Jamaal Bowman decided to go into politics instead of academics.

Though... we could probably hazard a guess.

This time, a medical school neuroscientist is on the hot seat for research misconduct at Harvard.

Claudine Gay could at least argue that her academic misconduct wasn't exactly brain surgery, but now that two of the academic scandals are at Harvard Medical School and one includes a neuroscientist, you get the idea.

It is brain surgery in this case, and it's pretty hard for Harvard to deny that there is a fundamental problem regarding academic integrity at its institution now that four separate scandals have popped up in the period of a few months.

CNN Propaganda Witch Stunned Into Silence When NY Cop Tells Her That Criminals Emigrate From Florida Because They Know That In Florida (But Not NY) They'll Go to Jail

Some idiot named Erica Hill did not like this answer.

MILLER: These individuals, I went over their rap sheets yesterday, multiple charges, grand larceny, robbery, attempted robbery, grand larceny, grand larceny. This particular crew operated on mopeds and scooters. They were doing organized retail theft, they were doing snatches on the street. iPhones, iPads, clothing, so on and so forth. One of them that they are still seeking has ten charges in one day because he's part of a pattern that's been going on.

And I'm looking at the dates that their arrests started, which is probably close to when they got here. They've only been here a couple of months. So what the detectives are telling me is they have crews here that operate in New York, do all their stealing, then go to Florida to spend the money and come back, and I'm like, "Why don't they just stay and steal in Florida?" They said, "Because there you go to jail."

HILL: Oh...

THE MORNING RANT: A Left-Wing Bank CEO Finds That Eco-Communists Aren’t Reliable Allies

Bank of Atrocities.JPG

Bank of America’s CEO Brian Moynihan is a left-wing globalist who has used his position to advance the WEF’s radical anti-freedom and anti-carbon agenda. Under his guidance, Bank of America has de-banked gun manufacturers, promoted racial discrimination in the name of diversity, and has advocated for ESG (environmental social governance).

Mr. Moynihan is very well liked by the communists in Davos, of course.

You would think that his radical left-wing agenda would make young street communists in America happy too, since he has embraced their agenda, but he is apparently not moving fast enough for them. A few days ago he was chased out of a banquet at which he was speaking by a gathering of his young communist political allies.

The video is embedded in a Twitter link further below, but first, just how radically left wing is Moynihan and Bank of America?

“Bank of America to Stop Lending to Some Gun Manufacturers” [Washington Post – 4/11/2018]

And this was from just two weeks ago in Davos…

“Bank of America CEO Says ESG Movement Is Here to Stay” [WSJ – 01/20/2023]

ESG is here to stay. That was the message of Bank of America Chief Executive Brian Moynihan as he responded to criticism of the movement pushing companies and investors to consider environmental, social and governance goals.

He added that CEOs view ESG goals such as combating climate change and making their workforce more diverse as integral to the long-term health of their companies.

Fortunately, there is growing pushback to Mr. Moynihan’s eco-communist agenda from elected officials in freedom-loving red states. [Another reminder that we can actually advance our agenda and fight back in the culture wars at state and local levels. That is where your vote is most important. – Buck]

A coalition of a dozen state agriculture commissioners just wrote to Bank of America and five other woke mega-banks (Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo) seeking clarity on those banks’ plans to cripple American agriculture in pursuit of “Net Zero” goals.

“State agriculture officials press banks on involvement with climate bloc: 'We hold serious concerns'” [Just The News – 01/29/2024]

In the Monday letter, the group…warned that "we hold serious concerns over commitments made by your bank as part of the Net-Zero Banking Alliance ('NZBA'), and the potential impacts on the agriculture sector; specifically, food availability and price increases on consumers, credit access for our farmers and agriculture product producers, and overall negative economic consequences."

You’ll not be shocked to learn that the Net-Zero Banking Alliance was created by the United Nations. Its purpose is to encourage powerful financial institutions to use their money and power to impose Net Zero onto their respective countries. And of course, nearly all of the United States’ largest banks have pledged their fealty to this globalist organization that is hostile to our economic freedom.

"Due to the potential impacts to agriculture, we are seeking more information regarding what appear to be troubling environmental commitments by your banks that target our farmers, ranchers, and agriculture producers, with grave consequences for consumers and that undermine the security of our food supply," the group continued.

Will Hild of Consumers Research directed some harsh comments at Brian Moynihan by name…

The Morning Report — 2/2/24

taylorswiftboat.jpg

Good morning, kids. I don't know the exact quote (and it's too late to find it), but I believe it was from Admiral William F. Bull Halsey who said something to the effect that "It's the side that makes the fewest mistakes that comes out on top in a war."
When it comes to the complete collapse of this nation, allegedly still America, it's the Democrats that are making some colossally stupid mistakes. But unfortunately for us, it's the GOP that is intentionally trying to drag the Democrats' collective(ist) donkey ass over the finish line. And that's not a mistake but malice aforethought.

The Kalorama Klown Komintern, via its pervert criminal shambling cadaver of a puppet Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants has intentionally erased our borders and allowed in nearly 8 million unknown, unvetted foreigners from every shit-hole on the planet to run wild at our expense and our peril. 8 million would constitute the largest standing army in the world, maybe even double that. All of them are free to do whatever the hell they want. Pick lettuce, if that, or more likely collect welfare, free medical care and line up for housing all at our expense. That's the least of our concerns. It's individuals like this that should raise some pulses:

A member of the Somalia-based al-Shabaab terrorist group was caught entering the U.S. illegally in March of 2023, but was soon released into the country and roamed free for nearly a year before he was arrested in Minnesota by ICE in January, according to an internal agency memo obtained exclusively by the DCNF. ICE Acting Director Patrick Lechleitner confirmed the terrorist was arrested “within 48 hours” of the agency learning that he was actually on the terror watch list.

“I can say that for this individual, within 20 – within 48 hours, excuse me – of ICE becoming aware of his status as on the watch list, within 48 hours, he was apprehended,” Lechleitner said during a press briefing on Thursday. “I want to commend our personnel because as soon as we became aware of that, within 48 hours, he was apprehended and [now] he’s currently in ICE custody.”

But it is not ICE’s fault. The man crossed illegally, was released, and only matched after a year.

The border patrol and ICE have been overwhelmed for years due to Biden.

The memo received by the Daily Caller stated that the Terrorist Screening Center ran his name through the system. It came up as a mismatch.

But then the Terrorist Screening Center determined the man belonged to al-Shabaab. . .

. . . I’m not shocked ICE arrested the man in Minnesota. The state has a large Somalian population, which is the home of al-Shabaab.

Minnesota. Somalia. "Ooh I wanna take ya and behead ya, and rape ya . . . " Sorry, I couldn't resist, er, "butchering" the Beach Boys but don't those two places sound familiar? Oh, yeah. America's sweetheart hails from there, none other than incest aficionado and immigration fraudster Ilhan "Bro-Fo" Omar. You know. The one who represents Somalis and Somalian interests in Congress. Not Americans.

Shameless plug:I go into more detail on this in my latest piece over at Taki's Mag linked here and in the sidebar.

In any case, even if this was a one-off, it'd be horrendous enough but given the fact that millions are already here in country, you can bet that this is not a one-off. Far from it. Of course, you don't need to be armed with RPGs and dirty bombs to cause havoc. All you need is a driver's license give no questions asked in the areas of Democrat dominance. You'd think that considering this to be an election year where the border is the number one issue by far, even among the now freaked out relatively normal portion of the Democrat base, that the Democrats would make one lousy little concession, just as temporary political cover. Sucker's bet, my friends:

The overwhelming majority of House Democrats voted against legislation this week that would make sure illegal alien drunk drivers are deported from the United States following their convictions.

On Wednesday, 150 House Democrats voted against the “Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act” by Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL) which would make drunk driving grounds for ineligibility to be in the U.S. . .

. . . Just 59 House Democrats broke ranks with their party leadership, joining 215 House Republicans to ultimately pass the bill. “There was a newlywed couple from my hometown of Enterprise, Alabama, named Angel and Jeremy Seay. I knew them personally,” Moore said on the House floor. “Angel and Jeremy were riding their motorcycle together when an illegal immigrant under the influence of alcohol collided into them with his pickup. Their lives were cut dramatically short. Sadly, tragedies like this are not uncommon across our country,” Moore said.

In another vote this week, 155 House Democrats voted against legislation from Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) that would ensure ICE agents can promptly deport illegal aliens convicted of Social Security fraud against American citizens. Only 55 House Democrats joined 217 House Republicans to pass the bill. . . In 2018, an Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) investigation revealed potentially 39 million cases in the prior four years where Americans had their identities stolen by illegal aliens.

Drunk driving criminals and fraudsters screwing over the lives of over 10% of the citizenry, and I use that word advisedly since close to 50 million individuals in country right now do not fall in that category, and that's still not enough. That said, Democrats don't care what happens to us, so long as they can have a permanent electoral majority. Of eggs and omelettes.

And here's the cherry on the parfait:

Worst of all, in yet another bill, a pair of them, Rep. Rashida Rlaib and Rep. Cory Bush, voted 'no' on a measure to keep participants in the October 7 attacks on innocent Israelis out of the country, our country.

United States Congresswomen Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) were the sole votes against a bill in the US House of Representatives on Wednesday that would bar entry to the United States by members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad, as well as officers of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and anyone who participated in the October 7 attacks but is not a member of a recognized terrorist group. Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) voted ‘present.’

Representative Tlaib, who represents one of the most Democratic districts in Michigan and is the only Palestinian-American currently in Congress, said that the bill was “redundant” as entry to those who have participated in terrorism, such as the October 7 attacks or who are members of a recognized terrorist group, such as Hamas or Islamic Jihad, is already prohibited. This echoed statements by Democratic leaders, such as the House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, whose statement said the bill was “largely duplicative of existing law.”

The “unnecessary” bill, Tlaib said, is “just another GOP messaging bill being used to incite anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred that makes communities like ours unsafe.”

Two Democrats is two Democrats too many. This is lunacy. They had a chance to make a stand against terrorism and they claimed 'redundancy' as if this is the sort of thing that matters to them. Tlaib even played the victim, not the person with the guilty conscience.

Apparently, there is no one on their should-be-deported list, other than the hapless German homeschoolers, who were ordered to be sent back for the 'crime' of homeschooling their kids and have been fighting it in the courts ever since.

Not all Democrats are as insane as those two horrendous shit-whores. Even Madame Tussaud's wax work reject Kathy Hochul as well as poor man's Bill DeBolshevik Eric Adams have the minimal intelligence to understand that the political winds aren't blowing in her direction. They've actually used the dreaded "D" word, as in "deportation" regarding the four wetback animals who beat up two NYPD cops in Times Square. But then they were released with no bail, and flipped the bird at reporters as they traipsed out of jail for parts unknown. Probably headed for the nearest church to pray for forgiveness, right?

So, the Democrats are seemingly tearing themselves apart and starting to shed support from even their own base. The obvious answer is of course to seal the damned border, declare a national police and security emergency with the goal of rounding up and deporting at a bare minimum, those we know (if we know) have criminal records if not every illegal alien who arrived since Biden shambled into the Oval Office and deporting them as close as we can get them to the South Pole and back to whatever Middle Eastern dark age sewer they came from.

Of course, the Democrats in Congress aided and abetted by the Grifting Oleaginous Parasite Party have a better idea: Amnesty for everyone and billions more for Ukraine!

You have to pass it to find out what’s in it.

The public has not yet seen the details of the legislation, and will have little time to examine the extraordinary implications of the deal before their Senators vote. Schumer said the text will be revealed by Sunday with procedural measures setting up the bill’s pathway  through the Senate beginning Monday, enabling a possible vote on final passage by the end of the week.

The rushed schedule is no surprise. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), one of three lead negotiators, has said she wants to rush the deal through the Senate before the public can react. This week Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) ushered a resolution through the Senate Republican Conference to ensure Senators had at least two to three weeks to review any deal.

Notably, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), perhaps Washington’s most fervent admirer of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and proponent of military, humanitarian, and economic aid to Ukraine, voted against Lee’s resolution.

"You have to pass it to find out what’s in it." Where have we heard that before?

Kristen Sinema. Senator Kinky Boots, that brave independent who fakes being a moderate and is a lefty loon from the get-go is likely to get kinky-booted the hell out of the Senate for a couple of fake moderation moves with that other fraud Manchin that pissed off her base. Now she's facing the same kind of corruption charges as shit-whore Jew-hater Cori Bush, and since the AZ senate race is a three-way, this could be a thing so the Dems could remove the threat of her seat going to a Republican, and please God, a non-RINO. So it's obvious who she's playing to.

Mike Lee? Yeah I guess he's going through the motions of playing at Senator but his response, like every other GOPer should be not just no but HELL NO. No amnesty, no compromises and not one more fucking red cent to Ukraine. Their only position should be seal the border and deport the illegal aliens.

This is not a policy dispute.

This is not regular order, or business as usual or anything remotely like it.

It's a de facto national security crisis nearly as serious as an attack on our nation.

If you count the crimes committed by illegal aliens in just the past three years alone, it is an attack in the form of unpunished anarcho-terrorism. Soon, we will have a slew of Nidal Hassans, Omar Mateens, Pulse Nightclubs, Boston Marathons and 9/11s to add to it. Or maybe a Chi-Com EMP just before Xi goes for Taiwan.

And this current attack of anarcho-terrorism was intentionally committed by the Junta in power. Can you spell "treason?" Speaker Mike Johnson better make sure this is absolutely positively dead on arrival. And Mitch McConnell cannot die and go to hell fast enough for my taste, while dragging down with him Thune, Blount, Murkowski, Collins and all the other flunkies and criminal traitors with him.

I don't think, that is I pray, that this insanity is indeed D.O.A., and that it's just an act of desperation on the part of Biden et al. Yet if it indeed goes nowhere, the damage is already done. To our national security, safety, economy, culture and way of life.

Along with the drive to turn America's children into Frankenstein monster catamites, the border issue has galvanized a large swathe of the population to yell "Stop!" If all those different voices yell it in unison, the tyrants are going to soil their Depends. Inshalla.

Have a good weekend.

Guinigi Tower, Lucca, Italy

Wikipedia:

The Torre Guinigi is a tower in Lucca, Tuscany, central Italy. It is a typical example of local Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The height of the tower is 45 meters with a total of 233 steps to reach the top.

The tower dates from the 1300s, when a number of wealthy families were building bell towers within the walls of Lucca as status symbols. It is one of the few remaining towers within the walls. It is known for the tall trees (holm oaks) growing on top of the tower.

I walked up to the top of a tower in Lucca but I don't remember any trees so maybe I went up a different one. What a dope, going up the less cool tower.

Here's a photo of the tower at full height. It says the photo was taken from another tower. That must have been the one I went up.

Quick Tsit

You're not going to believe this, but Capitol Police will not be charging a Democrat staffer for sticking his ins-erection into another guy's antechamber in the Senate Hearing Room.

'For now, we are closing the investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding a sex video that was recorded inside the Hart Senate Office Building on the morning of Wednesday, December 13. After consulting with federal and local prosecutors, as well as doing a comprehensive investigation and review of possible charges, it was determined that - despite a likely violation of Congressional policy - there is currently no evidence that a crime was committed. Although the hearing room was not open to the public at the time, the Congressional staffer involved had access to the room. The two people of interest were not cooperative, nor were the elements of any possible crimes met. The Congressional staffer, who has since resigned from his job, exercised his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and refused to talk to us. Our investigators are willint to review any new evidence should any come to light.'

Weird, the feds had no problem making up crimes to charge all the J6ers with. Apparently "parading" is a crime. Did this guy not parade his wang into the other guy's mouth?

No Democrats are ever charged, ever.

On the other hand, they firebombed the offices that John Hindraker works out of, along with other conservative groups, and I'm sure the FBI will be giving this all the same priority they've given to apprehending the Capitol pipe-bomber.

I wasn't entirely forthcoming in this post about why I haven't written much the last few days. It is true that I have been in Washington, mostly to attend the Michael Mann v. Mark Steyn trial. I will write up my thoughts on the trial (or at least, those portions I have seen) when I have time.

But something else has been distracting me: leftists firebombed my office last Saturday night. At around 2 am, they broke into the building that houses Center of the American Experiment and two other conservative organizations with which we often collaborate, along with many other businesses. The arsonists set two fires: one was in the first floor corridor between American Experiment's office and the space we sublease to Take Charge, Kendall and Sheila Qualls' organization. A second fire was set on the third floor, immediately outside or perhaps actually inside the office of the Upper Midwest Law Center, on whose board I serve. This photo shows what the corridor outside my office looks like:

Remember when we used to live in a First World Country? I liked that. That was nice.

Thanks to The ARC of History!

Remember when third world revolutionaries toppled statues throughout the US and basically The Regime applauded them for vandalism and destruction?

Well, someone cut the head off a statue of SATAN and The Regime reacted as you'd expect The Regime to react when something sacred to them has been desecrated: They charged this particular statue-defacer with a hate crime.

A hate crime! For cutting the head off a Satanic statue!

A Mississippi man accused of destroying a statue of a pagan idol at Iowa's state Capitol is now being charged with a hate crime.

The statue was brought to the Capitol by the Satanic Temple of Iowa under state rules allowing religious displays in the building during the holidays. The move drew strong criticism from state and national leaders, including Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Florida Gov. and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, both Republicans. On Dec. 14, the figure depicting the horned deity Baphomet was "destroyed beyond repair," according to the group.

Michael Cassidy, a former congressional and legislative candidate from Mississippi, was charged the next day with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. He told the conservative website The Sentinel that "my conscience is held captive to the word of God, not to bureaucratic decree. And so I acted."

Now, Polk County prosecutors have charged Cassidy with a more serious offense, the Des Moines Register reported. A document made public Tuesday charged him with felony third-degree criminal mischief. It alleges the act was committed "in violation of individual rights" under Iowa's hate crime statute.

"Evidence shows the defendant made statements to law enforcement and the public indicating he destroyed the property because of the victim's religion," Lynn Hicks, a spokesman for the Polk County Attorney's Office, said in a statement.

Satanism, she means.

The Babylon Bee put together an Infographic explaining what kinds of statues you are and are not allowed to deface or destroy:

Yes: Thomas Jefferson, known bigot and slave owner
No: Satan, brave and inclusive hero

Yes: George Washington, father of racist country
No: George Floyd, father of Black Lives Matter

...

Yes: Marines hoisting flag on Iwo Jima, symbol of male toxicity
No: Drag queens hoisting Pride flag, symbol of males being stunning and fabulous

Yes: Confederate solider, who killed his own countrymen
No: Antifa soldier, who killed his own countrymen

Yes: Jesus, leader of evil and intolerant Christians
No: Jesus holding a rainbow flag, leader of good and tolerant faux-Christians

America is closing down soon. Plan accordingly.

Flawless Victory: Federal Judge Dismisses DEIsney's Bullsh*t Corporate Relations Lawsuit Against Ron DeSantis

This is a corporate relations lawsuit. Bob Iger was on a campaign to undermine his successor Bob Chapek, and frequently attacked him through the media and also claimed -- when Chapek had only been CEO for weeks -- that Iger had come back to rescue Disney from covid.

He did all of this because Chapek was not running DEIsney the way Iger wanted it to be run. He was gone for weeks before he began lobbying the board of directors for a return.

Then came the Parental Rights In Education Bill, and the leftwing presidential-nominee-hopeful Bob Iger could not resist attacking Bob Chapek for his position of neutrality. He rallied DEIsney's Woke Gender Warriors into an insurgency, and Bob Chapek relented in the brief social media war, and committed DEIsney -- as Bob Iger demanded -- to pursuing a Groomer Agenda.

This resulted, as could have been expected, in Ron DeSantis asking the Florida legislature to revoke DEIsney's special -- and illegal, frankly -- Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID). This District, which gave a corporation control over a huge chunk of central Florida, never should have been granted in the first place. Even after its granting, it should have been almost immediately revoked, because the RCID was granted with the belief that DEIsney would be creating a one-of-a-kind planned community, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, or EPCOT. This was supposed to be a planned city built with Walt Disney's ideas of wholesome perfection in mind.

But that was quickly abandoned and DEIsney just built another theme park, Walt Disney World, on the site. The pretext for granting DEIsney corporate control over the businesses and residences of the area was no longer present, but DEIsney got to keep its lucrative perk.

And it was very lucrative. For example, the RDIC could issue bonds with the usual tax-free advantage that municipal bonds have. But the RDIC was just a pass-through fiction controlled by DEIsney, so DEIsney could issue what were effectively corporate bonds, but with the special tax-free status that municipalities are granted. Thus, DEIsney could offer corporate bonds with a lower rate of return and people would buy them up, because the tax-free advantage made that lower-paper-rate-of-return a higher rate of return when you included the effects of taxation. (Or non-taxation, as it were.)

Bob Iger had therefore made a selfish, suicidal decision to undermine Bob Chapek and commit DEIsney to a toxically unpopular Groomer Agenda just to claw his way back to power. And when that maneuver resulted in DEIsney losing its special status -- a loss that observers estimate will cost DEIsney more than a trillion dollars over the decades -- Bob Iger had to scramble. He had to reassure investors that his narcissistic groomer gambit actually wasn't such a bad move at all.

He filed a lawsuit which was nonsense from the moment ink touched paper claiming that the Florida legislature had no right to create or destroy special districts, despite the black-letter law stating that only the Florida legislature had such a right, and could exercise it at any time.

But the lawsuit wasn't a real lawsuit -- it exists just to convince Bob Iger's leftwing backers that DEIsney has a special right to hold hundreds of acres of central Florida as its own corporate fiefdom in perpetuity, and that one day, this eternal right to rule will be recognized, so DEIsney will not lose a trillion+ dollars due to Bob Iger's filthy scheming.

Because this was a corporate relations project, Bob Iger whispered Gollum-like in the ears of his leftwing media allies that this was a suit with a huge amount of merit, and would almost certainly prevail, and his leftwing media allies repeated this thoroughly-stupid, uninformed, ignorant claim with great vigor and repetition.

But all along, anyone who knew anything about Florida law -- or Florida special district law -- or the law in general, period -- knew this was a complete loser of a lawsuit and would be dismissed at the earliest opportunity.

And so it came to pass. What all informed observers said would happen, did happen, and what the ignorant leftwing propaganda media vowed would never, ever happen happened so fast and so hard that Fani Willis inquired if it was available for sidework.

Most of the fake lawsuit was dismissed for "failure to state a congnizable claim" -- that is, even when the court takes every allegation DEIsney makes as 100% true, they still have not announced any basis upon which they can seek relief from a court.

As a special bonus, some of the lawsuit was dismissed for... lack of standing.

John F. Trent, and I think the "F." stands for "Fuck You, Bob Iger, you rotten c*nt":

United States District Judge Allen Winsor dismissed The Walt Disney Company's lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the State of Florida.

The Walt Disney Company sued Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the State of Florida, and other Florida government officials in a 77-page document back in April 2023.

The lawsuit alleged that the State of Florida's decision to dissolve the Reedy Creek Improvement District violated the Contracts Clause of the United States Constitution, violated the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, violated the Fourteenth Amendment's Due Process Clause, and violated the company's First Amendment political speech.

The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger attempted to justify the lawsuit by positioning the company as a victim. During the company's Q2 2023 Earnings Results webcast he said, "First of all, I think the case that we filed last month made our position and the facts very clear. And that's really that this is about one thing and one thing only, and that's retaliating against us for taking a position about pending legislation. And we believe that in us taking that position we are merely exercising our right to free speech."

Legal Mindset points out that it is black-letter federal law (black-letter meaning top-of-the-page, main-point law) that if a legislature is empowered to do something, and if it acts with what appears to be superficial comportment with the law and constitution, then you're not allowed to sue the legislature to compel it to do what you'd rather it do.

This is obvious, when you think about it. Legislatures are always favoring one company or another through their laws, sometimes directly, but more often, indirectly.

If any time a corporation wanted an advantage granted to another corporation, it could just sue and say "We're being discriminated against," then the legislatures could basically pass no laws at all.

This may sound pretty good to some of you, but obviously, this is not the law as it stands.

DEIsney knew this when it filed its fake lawsuit, and all the corrupt media should have known it, too, or could have known it if they just contacted a real lawyer about this instead of relying on representations made by Bob Iger and his paid flacks.

...

Judge Winsor specifically addressed the First Amendment claim writing, "'As a general matter, the First Amendment prohibits government officials from subjecting individuals to retaliatory actions after the fact for having engaged in protected speech.' But it is settled law that 'when a statute is facially constitutional, a plaintiff cannot bring a free-speech challenge by claiming that the lawmakers who passed it acted with a constitutionally permissible purpose.' The Eleventh Circuit has 'held that many times.' And this settled law forecloses Disney's claim."

He also noted, "In short, Disney lacks standing to sue the Governor or the Secretary, and its claims against the CFTOD Defendants fail on the merits because 'when a statute is facially constitutional, a plaintiff cannot bring a free-speech challenge by claiming that the lawmakers who passed it acted with a constitutionally impermissible purpose."

...

Legal analyst Andrew Esquire predicted dismissal was highly likely in an interview on the WDW Pro channel back at the end of June 2023.

He said at the time, "For Disney, the nightmare scenario, the worst possible scenario, which is a likely scenario, I don't want to give exact probabilities, but it's something that could very much probabilistically happen is the federal case gets entirely dismissed. It gets entirely thrown out. There's multiple reasons. The reason cited, one of the main reasons which I have said from the beginning on this which is Disney does not truly have standing. They do not meet the elements for standing. Standing means the ability to bring a claim to court."

"This is exactly the reason that the citizens who actually sued the state of Florida for these legislative changes way back earlier this year, they were thrown out for standing. Disney also can be thrown out for much similar grounds," he explained.

DEIsney is continuing to embarrass itself by pumping out more fake theories to justify its fake lawsuit.

According to Blog Mickey, a Disney spokesman stated, "This is an important case with serious implications for the rule of law, and it will not end here. If left unchallenged, this would set a dangerous precedent and give license to states to weaponize their official powers to punish the expression of political viewpoints they disagree with."

He concluded, "We are determined to press forward with our case."

Suck my dick, DEIsney. You're probably into that, though.

Below, Legal Mindset clowns the Mouse.

Biden's Lyin' and Biden's Cryin' (and Then He Goes Back to Hidin')

Three Americans were killed due to Biden's grant of carte blanche to the terror mullahs of Iran, to attack US troops 160+ times without any reprisal.

Biden's plan was just to hope these relentless attacks never managed to kill any US troops.

Hope is not a plan, as you may have heard, and now three Americans are dead.

David Strom writes that even the c***s***er New York Times admits that Biden's refusal to check Iran encouraged them to keep attacking us until the took American lives.

The New York Times has an analysis written by Peter Baker that exposes just how feckless the Biden Administration has been in dealing with Iranian proxies.

The lede makes it blindingly obvious that Biden and his administration knew that American troops would get killed. Yet their responses to the nearly 200 attacks on Americans since 10/7 have been "carefully calibrated"--read weak--in the vain hope that showing restraint would somehow, magically, prevent the day that Americans would die from coming.

It doesn't work like that. When you signal to an enemy that they can attack with impunity, they will.

Biden had made it crystal clear that Iran could direct its proxies to attack Americans without paying a price--even its proxies haven't paid much of a price--so of course, Iran took the opportunity offered them.

This was the day that President Biden and his team had feared for more than three months, the day that relatively low-level attacks by Iranian proxy groups on American troops in the Middle East turned deadly and intensified the pressure on the president to respond in kind.

With three American service members killed and two dozen more injured by a drone in Jordan, Mr. Biden must decide how far he is willing to go in terms of retaliation at the risk of a wider war that he has sought to avoid ever since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas touched off the current Middle East crisis.

Until now, the president had carefully calibrated his responses to the more than 150 attacks by Iranian-backed militias on American forces in the region since Oct. 7. He essentially ignored the majority that were successfully intercepted or did little to no damage while authorizing limited U.S. strikes focused mainly on buildings, weapons and infrastructure after attacks that were more brazen, most notably against the Houthis in Yemen who have targeted shipping in the Red Sea.

Let that sink in. At no point in this conflict has Biden done anything proactively to give Iran pause and to induce them to rethink their strategy. They knew Iran was going to bring things to this point, yet they struck buildings and ignored anything thrown at us or others if no damage was caused.

Yet if they throw enough stuff at us, something will hit.

Something did.

Now that American blood has been spilled, Biden can indulge his favorite past-time: Lying about Beau Biden being killed in honorable combat.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer Calls For Ethics Probe Into Admitted Foreign Agent Ilhan "Omar" Nur

Telling a crowd of foreigners that your mission is to bully America into obeying a shithole country's lead feels a little insurrectiony to me.

Top Republican Tom Emmer calls for Ethics Committee investigation into Squad's Ilhan Omar following her controversial 'Somalia first' declaration that sparked outrage and demands she resign from Congress

'Sleep in comfort knowing I am here to protect the interest of Somalia from inside the U.S. system,' Omar said according to a disputed translation

Emmer said Ethics should probe Omar for House rule: 'A Member of the House shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect credibly on the House'

By Morgan Phillips

A top Republican is demanding the Ethics Committee probe Rep. Ilhan Omar over a speech where the Squad progressive allegedly declared she is 'Somalia first.'

According to one translation of a now-viral clip of remarks Omar made in Somalian, she said her allegiances lie with Somalia over the U.S.

'We are an organized society, brothers and sisters, people of the same blood, people who know they are Somalis first, Muslims second, who protect one another,' Omar said, according to a widely circulated translation of a clip.

Following massive backlash and calls for her to resign or even be deported, House GOP Whip Tom Emmer is demanding an ethics investigation into her 'appalling' rhetoric.

According to a letter obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Emmer asked the House Ethics Committee to probe whether the Minnesota Democrat had violated Rule XXIII, clause 1, which states: 'a Member of the House shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect credibly on the House.'

Omar claims that translation is not accurate and that 'propagandists' are twisting her words.

'No sitting member of Congress should be able to blatantly spew anti-American rhetoric and get away with it. I am demanding an ethics investigation into Ilhan Omar's appalling, Somalia-first comments to ensure that she starts taking her oath of office and commitment to the 5th district of Minnesota seriously,' said Emmer, a fellow Minnesotan, in a statement.

Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq.'s "Business Partners" Made Political Donations to Fani Willis, Who Then Kicked Them Back "Lucrative" Contracts for Work

You don't say.

You don't say.

You don't say you don't say you don't say you don't say you don't say.

Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum's "business partners" include Lance Clamhammer and Rex DeQuim.

Business partners of District Attorney Fani Willis' alleged lover Nathan Wade, whom she appointed to work on the case against former President Donald Trump, made donations to her campaign before receiving lucrative contracts from her office.

Terrence Bradley, Wade's former partner, and Christopher Campbell, his current partner, have collectively contributed more than $5,000 to Willis' campaign, contribution disclosure reports show. Moreover, both men have each raked in tens of thousands of dollars from contracts with the district attorney's office, according to county records.

Campbell is a partner at Wade & Campbell Firm, where he works with Wade. Bradley formerly worked with Wade at Wade, Bradley & Campbell Firm, and also represented Wade in his divorce case until Sept. 2022.

...

Bradley made three donations to Willis' campaign: $1,000 in June 2020, $550 in October 2020 and $2,500 in June 2023, according to campaign disclosure reports.

Meanwhile, the district attorney's office paid Bradley $74,480 between May 2021 and June 2022, according to county records. It remains unclear what work he was doing during that period.

I could take a guess.

I don't want to say what my guess is, but it rhymes with vancid ragina.

Campbell, who donated $1,000 to Willis' campaign in June 2020, contracted with the district attorney's office in January 2021 to provide services as a "taint attorney" for $150 an hour, according to the contract obtained by the DCNF.

Well, I guess we all know what he did for his money.

I didn't edit that in. A "taint attorney" is charged with removing privileged documents from a file before handing it off to prosecutors -- clearing it of "taint."

Nah just kidding, a taint attorney's job is to pleasure a bulldog-shaped woman's gnarly taint. Duh.

Meanwhile, CNN reports that Fani Willis will not recuse herself so she's going to the hearings set for mid-month with a plan of refusing to answer questions about her paying her Stallion $654,000 for sexual services, claiming that it doesn't matter who she pays to service her whiffy frontbottom.

CNN:

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has no plans to step down from the Georgia election subversion case over allegations she's having an affair with her lead prosecutor, a decision driven in part over concern that her departure would effectively end the case against Donald Trump and his multiple defendants, sources familiar with the thinking inside the DA's office told CNN.

The sprawling racketeering case still has no trial date, and Willis and her team are keenly aware that the window to go to trial before the 2024 election is rapidly shrinking. Any change in the team handling the prosecution would likely delay the proceedings, and it's unclear if another prosecutor in Georgia would even be inclined to take up the case, given its political and legal challenges. ...

Instead, Willis is preparing to counter arguments from Trump and other co-defendants, not by necessarily disputing claims about the relationship but by arguing that defense attorneys seeking to remove her are wrong on the law, sources said.

Ed Morrissey points out some of the problems with hiring the ambulance-chaser nobody Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq., beginning with the fact that he's never tried a felony case before.

Nothing like prosecuting the President for your first at-bat, huh?

Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib Vote Against Bill to Bar Hamas Terrorists From Entering the US

In fairness, Hamas terrorists don't have to bother applying for Visas to gain access to the American populace, thanks to Biden's wide-open Invaders Welcome borders.

But Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib want them to be permitted to come here legally.

And by the way: When I say the bill barred Hamas terrorists, I'm not exaggerating. The bill doesn't just bar members of Hamas from coming. It specifically bars Hamas "fighters" who took part in the slaughter, war crimes, and mass rapes of 10/7.

And Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib said "Nah, they good people."

Two Democrat congresswomen voted no on a bill that will bar all members of Hamas and anyone involved in the Islamist terror group's massacres on October 7, 2023 in Israel. The House vote was 422-2.

Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Cori Bush (D-MO) voted no. Another Democrat, Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL), voted 'present.' The bill was HR 6679, titled "No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act."

Tlaib issued a statement after the vote in which she called the bill unnecessary and redundant.

[Washington Examiner:]

"It's just another GOP messaging bill being used to incite anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred that makes communities like ours unsafe," said the Michigan Democrat, who is the only Palestinian American in Congress.

"I made a promise to my residents when they sent me to Congress that I would take meaningful actions to end hateful Trump-era immigration policies, reunite families, welcome migrants and asylum seekers, and reform our immigration system," Tlaib added. "I reaffirm that commitment today, and will always speak truth to power in the face of disgusting attempts by my colleagues to dehumanize our immigrant neighbors."

Tlaib has a history of antisemitism so her vote against the bill isn't much of a surprise. However, accusing Republicans of anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred is beyond the pale. The bill passed with the support of the entire House, including the Democrat caucus. It had the full support of House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jerry Nadler (D-NY). Tlaib and another anti-semitic Democrat, Cori Bush, were the only two House members who voted against it. Rep. Ramirez wimped out and voted present, for whatever reason she had. It is rare for such overwhelming bipartisan support for a bill in the House. Tlaib and Bush are the ones who are out of step.

Karen Armstrong explains that Tlaib is lying -- shocked faces all around, I know -- when she claims this bill is "redundant." It's not redundant, as it expands the bar on Hamas terrorists to PLO terrorists who took part in the slaughter.

She's not against the "redundancy." She objects to her fellow Hamas terrorists being treated as criminals, when they're really Heroes.

Two hijab-wearing activists for the "Liberation of Palestine" were denied entry to a Harris event.

They immediately began accusing Kamala Harris of (wait for it...) racism.

Life is good.

John Sexton:

. The clip features a couple of pro-Palestinian activists from the group Nevadans for Palestinian Liberation who had RSVPd for a Kamala Harris event over the weekend only to be told at the door that they had been disinvited. As you'll see, the activists immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were being disinvited because they were both wearing hijabs. The person who is manning the door apologizes but doesn't offer any other explanation.
