Among those who supported its passage are GOP Sens. John Thune of South Dakota and John Cornyn of Texas. Both are viewed as contenders to replace McConnell as party leader in the Senate. Contrary to McConnell's belief that dumping taxpayer dollars into Ukraine is the "single most important event going on in the world," Biden's border invasion is overwhelming communities across the country and costing American lives. Just ask the parents of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student who was reportedly murdered by an illegal alien from Venezuela last weekend while out on a jog; the 14-year-old girl allegedly raped by a different Venezuelan illegal in Virginia last week; or the parents of the two-year-old who was allegedly killed by an El Salvadorian illegal in Maryland earlier this month; or the many other victims who have suffered from illegal alien crimes. Becoming an effective opposition party requires the Senate GOP to elect a fresh conservative leader who places American interests first. Replacing McConnell with a Republican of the same low-T caliber who puts Ukraine's needs above America's will do nothing but ensure the Senate GOP will continue to lose at every turn.

So now this shiftless layabout is begging to return to the UK.I wouldn't accept them back into the fold at all. Their only currency is nasty accusations about the Royal Family. Having been separated from the Royal Family for a couple of years, they've sold all their salacious claims and unfounded accusations of racism. They have nothing more to sell to Netflix and Spotify, and Netflix and Spotify know it. So I imagine their plan is to return to the royal fold for a couple of years, collect some trumped-up claims of abuse and racism -- or at least, create the circumstances in which invented claims of abuse and racism would at least be plausible -- then go back to their LA mansion and sign some more big-money Princefluencer deals with liberal media companies.

Former aides who worked directly with then-Vice President Joe Biden in the Obama administration have called current fears over his age "a very real issue" -- with some alarmed at how he has become more "frail" and "mumbly." "If you watch Joe Biden speak, oftentimes he sounds frail and he sounds more frail than he used to, even in 2019 and 2020," Jon Favreau, the chief speechwriter for Obama when Biden was vice president, said in a recent episode of the "Pod Save America" podcast. "The voice sounds frail, and he shuffles more because of the arthritis in his back," Favreau said, adding that the oldest-ever president also appears "mumbly."
He noted polls showing as many as 80% of Americans have expressed concern about the president being 81 -- saying it needs to be tackled head-on because voters can see his clear decline. Even though the president has made an ever-growing series of gaffes and verbal stumbles, he needs to appear on camera even more if he's to assuage voters' concerns about his age -- with his absence even worse, Favreau warned.
"When world events seem like they are overtaking him and he's not out there enough forcefully, that's what's getting people concerned," Favreau argued. Podcast co-host Jon Lovett, another ex-Obama speechwriter, agreed and argued that the Biden campaign should get the president out in public to demonstrate his mental and physical abilities -- even if they are concerned that he will make more gaffes.
Meanwhile, former Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer expressed his own concerns in a separate interview. "It is a very real issue," he told Courier.
"If Biden can't assuage, particularly among his voters from 2020, then I don't think he can win the election -- so in some ways, it's the crux for his campaign."

Bashear will appoint a Democrat to fill the seat until a special election is held, and he will have every incentive to delay this special election as long as the law permits. (I don't know how long -- maybe three months or six months at most, I'd guess.) Now, Kentucky's legislature passed a law, anticipating that Mitch the Bitch might die or quit, that says that the governor can only choose a replacement from a list of nominees the legislature selects. And the Republican legislature will of course nominate a list of Republicans. However, Bashear says that law violates the state constitution, which gives the governor this power and does not mention a role for the legislature. Generally, a mere law cannot deviate from or change a constitution. The constitution sits on a higher plane and can only be modified by amendment. I don't want it to be true, but I think Bashear i right here. So... Mitch McConnell is going to do exactly what I feared he would do when he insisted on running again despite his advanced age (and massive unpopularity) and give this seat to the Democrats. These old powerhungry monsters just will not think of anything except their own desperate need to control. It is control that sustains them, like blood sustains an ancient vampire. They Can't Stop
America's media complex is a vast system committed solely and entirely to the purpose of creating artistically and creatively bankrupt propaganda. Shocking, I know. There have been some signs of a grudging acknowledgment of Hollywood failure recently, from Marvel's "retooling" to Amazon deciding that the audience's preferences might matter after all. There are some signs of that complex showing some stress fractures under the weight of years of catastrophic financial losses. "News" aside, there have been some potential signs of change out of "entertainment."
If you're in the "watch it burn" camp and hoping for continued self-immolation, though, don't worry. Feel free to sleep easy. Despite the recent evidence of some reconsideration within the industry, there is far too much in the pipeline and far too many true believers within the studios for change to come quickly enough to matter. As I was wandering around trailers and releases recently, I came across a true gem that serves as a case study for what's wrong with Hollywood.

I bring this up because people like Winsome Sears are going to be our salvation, politically and culturally. Leaving aside the bastardization of the notion of America by the Left that "we're a nation of immigrants," I would say it takes an immigrant – a real, honest LEGAL immigrant who got here the old fashioned way by earning citizenship – to understand and appreciate this nation, its history, heritage and culture. These are the people who came here for a better life not to be given it to them on a silver platter via the welfare state but for the opportunity to work for it and build it. And in so doing, building a better more prosperous union.
And for Democrats and Leftists, that statement is the equivalent of showing the cross to Dracula. It's the last thing they want because independent, self-sufficient, law-abiding citizens who don't need government is not how Democrats and Leftists gain and maintain power.
The bitter irony of Winsome Sears being a naturalized citizen and not native born is that it disqualifies her from serving as VP under Trump or any pro-American, America first, non-globalist/statist candidate. It's too bad that attitude and patriotism are trumped (heh) by this technicality, because there are far too many natives who pale in comparison.
Take for instance this glittering jewel of dumb-fuckery:

Roem.” “Let it be known: I am not here to upset anyone,” Earle-Sears began. “I am here to do the job that the people of Virginia have called me to do, and that is to treat everyone with respect and dignity. I myself have, at times, not been afforded that same respect and dignity. But in this body, and as long as I am president of the Senate, and by the grace of God, I will be treated with respect and dignity. And I will treat everyone else with respect and dignity. . . ” . . . Earle-Sears never specifically apologized to Roem, nor should she. Roem is a man, and calling him "Sir" was accurate. I don't care what he identifies as or what his "personal truth" is. I care about reality, and Roem can't force anyone to pretend he's a woman no more than he can force anyone to pretend he's a cat, an elf, or any sort of mythological creature. He is a human male. Naturally, local Democrat groups were outraged.I imagine some of you are not necessarily impressed with Sears' non-apology apology, preferring that she, for lack of a better expression, just called a spade a spade. That is, double down on calling a man "sir." In any case, Sears gets my respect for doing what she did in the first place. Considering everything that's going on, is this perhaps focusing on something trivial? Not in my estimation. Andrew Breitbart of blessed memory stated correctly that politics is downstream from the culture. And even a cursory look around shows that we've lost the culture, big time. When these days we don't even flinch at the notion and sad fact of life that men in drag are allowed into girls locker rooms, and allowed to openly serve in our military, I'd say that that is a pretty solid indicator that we're circling the drain, with the Ty-D-Bowl
House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) has said that raising taxes will be necessary to balance the federal budget. His comments will likely irritate President Trump and his team, given the pledge to make the Trump-era tax cuts a permanent fixture in a second Trump administration. “It’s only fair to have both revenue and expenditures on the table,” Arrington told Semafor. “The last time there was a fix to Social Security that addressed the solvency for 75 years, it was Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill, and it was bipartisan. In January, 19 GOP members of the Budget Committee and three Democrats voted for a proposal to establish the commission, which Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La) supported. Both sides of the political aisle are already attacking the commission. Following the Budget Committee’s vote to establish the commission, Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett (Texas) said: “There is a real concern out there that this commission will be called the ‘Cut Social Security Commission.’” A group of conservative organizations released a letter attacking the commission as a “trap designed to get Republican fingerprints on a tax increase in exchange for ‘spending cuts’ that never materialize.”When in God's name are we actually going to take, not merely an axe, but a thermonuclear warhead to the size and scope of the Federal government?! If you answered "never," you win a cookie. Social Security should've been strangled in its infancy, but here it is and heaven forfend we throw granny off of the cliff in her wheelchair! Remember, the welfare state was originally created not for illegal aliens but for the citizenry by yet another junta led by FDR (with the initial aid from Hoover) who just couldn't let a crisis go to waste when it came to expanding the power of the state at the expense of individual prudence, ethics and ultimately liberty. Just like Winsome Sears called out a mentally deranged drag queen "sir," what we need is a GOP that calls out taxation, spending and an ever-expanding governmental bureaucracy "cancer." We won't get that, of course because the GOP is the Grifting Oleaginous Parasite party. Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, the rate at which Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants' brain melts seems to be in direct proportion to the graft that is finding its way into his bank account:

Whittington, a Princeton University professor of politics, identifies three types of constitutional crises: a crisis of operation, a crisis of fidelity and a crisis of bad faith. Biden’s constitutional offense could be placed in either of the last two categories. He is “no longer willing to abide by existing constitutional arrangements” and is clearly a political actor who has refrained “from repudiating the inherited constitutional system but nonetheless” subverted “it by only giving lip service to constitutional requirements.”Remember (as if you need a reminder) that the rule of law goes only one way: against the citizenry and anyone who is non-Leftist. Should Donald Trump actually win this coming November, every legal executive order he will sign will be met with rank insubordination and outright mutiny in every agency from the top all the way down to the lowliest toilet attendant, if not met with violent protest from Robert Creamer's Central Committee Casting Rent-a-Mob. That's if an organized "Seven Days in May" coup doesn't actually materialize long before that. And the GOPe? Elordi's purses, Pascal's shorts and Chalamet's sequins have these men proudly parading their traditionally feminine touches -- and admirers are loving it in return. According to Vogue Runway's year-end poll, gender-bending menswear was dubbed the industry's favorite 2023 trend. Heterosexual women -- especially Gen Zers -- are "rusting" (romanticizing and lusting) after men they consider to be "babygirl."

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition
Our political class has betrayed us in the most fundamental way. They have failed to protect -- both physically and philosophically -- the structure of our nation. They have caused an erosion of the foundations of our political philosophy by diluting it with an invasion of foreigners bringing ideas that are anathema to the concepts that created America. They have actively pursued open borders that have resulted in a catastrophic drain on our financial resources, concurrent with a catastrophic increase in criminal and other anti-social behavior. They are the ones to hate...to despise...to spit upon in the street. They are deserving of our hate, our contempt, our anger, and most of all, our dogged pursuit of their political destruction. And if there is justice in the world; imprisonment for their crimes. Yes...crimes. They violate their oaths of office, they benefit financially from their disloyalty, and they break the law of the land by opening our borders. Those are crimes worse than what the invaders bring! I hate the people who allow our country to be taken advantage of by violent scum who should never have been here. I hate the people who are too weak and too soft to protect their fellow citizens after being elected to do so. Truth be told, I hate them even more than I hate the terrorists, extremists and foreign criminals who take advantage of them and (because of them) of us. Because the terrorists, extremists and criminals are what they are. I expect them to murder, rape and maim.
