Angel Matias Castellanos-Orellana, a 19-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested on February 25 by the Kenner Police Department after he allegedly committed an armed robbery and stabbed the victim, who is recovering at a nearby hospital. Along with armed robbery and aggravated battery, Castellanos-Orellana has been charged with first-degree rape and aggravated assault after police allege he raped and assaulted a 14-year-old girl in the area. “Illegal immigrants continue to be a challenge to local law enforcement for many reasons. Lack of access to data, false identification, and language barriers put local law enforcement at a huge disadvantage,” Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley said in a statement: We cannot verify if an illegal alien is giving correct information as it pertains to names and date of births. It is not only a drain on police manpower, but a financial drain on local law enforcement’s budgets and taxpayer’s money. In a 25-day period, this illegal alien caused terror in our community. We are glad he is off our streets, but will he be back? Will he have a new identity? What other crimes has he committed since he crossed our borders? [Emphasis added]Eggs and omelettes, Chief Conley. Or, perdona: ¡huevos y tortillas! And like the proverbial "lone wolf" attackers whom law enforcement can never seem to figure out a motive despite cries of Allahu-Akbar!, yet another lone wolf popped up to do something that did little to set up Katie Porker for success:
Twenty-six-year-old Jonathan Estuardo Ruano Garcia is being held in the Utah County jail, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on him, the sheriff’s office told The Daily Wire. Police documents said that on Sunday night, a mother returned to her apartment around 11:15 p.m., where her daughter was home alone. On the way in, she “observed an adult male leaving her apartment. The mother said the male made eye contact but then quickly walked away.” When she entered the apartment, she found her daughter completely naked in the hallway, and “the 11-year-old girl told her mother that a male she met on the internet came to the apartment and had sex with her,” the police report said. Police used the girl’s social media history to identify Ruano Garcia, and quickly located him at his home. “Ruano Garcia admitted that he put his penis in her vagina and had sex with the 11 year old for 20-30 min,” the police report said, and claimed he believed the girl was 13 or 14. It is the latest instance of brutal crimes by illegal immigrants, who in many cases were repeatedly arrested for more minor crimes and then released by sanctuary jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with ICE. In the first half of this month, ICE arrested nearly 300 convicted sex predators who were illegal immigrants. A man who allegedly shot three police officers on February 14 in Washington, D.C., is an illegal immigrant.Yeah, but "ACAB: All Cops Are Bastards," right Democrats? Then again, they seem to have an answer for that little conundrum as well!
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is hiring illegal border crossers with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status and equipping them with guns to police American citizens in California. . . . . . Until recently, California only allowed U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents in the process of obtaining citizenship to serve as law enforcement. In 2022, the Democrat legislature passed a law authorizing any of the hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossers, including DACA recipients, who obtain work authorization to join police forces across the state. The Second Amendment states it is “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” “The people,” according to American court precedent, refers to U.S. citizens only. The 1968 Gun Control Act, passed by a Democrat trifecta, also prohibits illegally present foreign citizens from possessing firearms and ammunition. The Fifth Circuit Court Of Appeals ruled in 2017 that DACA does not exempt illegal border crossers from that gun law. An exception in the 1968 law, however, allows for illegal border crossers to possess guns “for the use of, the United States or any department or agency thereof or any State or any department, agency, or political subdivision thereof.” That means this federal provision technically provides any local or state government office, even if they don’t have a law like California’s, to arm illegal border crossers. So in the case of the LAPD, a criminal foreign citizen who doesn’t have the constitutionally secured right to bear arms but was hired by a U.S. police department could arrest and even disarm a U.S. citizen who does have Second Amendment rights. We have long fretted about our own native-born apple-robbers being more concerned with preserving, protecting and defending their jobs and pensions more than the safety and rights of the citizens they allegedly put the badge on to protect – not only from ordinary criminals but more crucially from tyrannical government politicians and apparatchiks. But when the inevitable shit hits the fan, whether due to a total economic collapse, the ability of Trump to overcome the cheat machine next November and his subsequent attempts to de-fang the Deep State, the anarcho-terroristic government-induced national crime wave and completely erased border, and likely a combination/perfect storm of all of the above, what do you think armed foreigners, many who are themselves criminal scum fleeing from, or even let loose, from shit-hole failed states where death squads are part of the landscape, who have been duly deputized by the DC Junta are going to give a shit about Jeffersonian democracy and oaths of office? We are in for a world of hurt, my friends. Be prepared. And have a good weekend.

Biden's Miracle Economy is so great that fast food restaurants are trying to figure out ways to disguise the Bidenflation. Wendy's is now experimenting with having variable prices, with food costing more during peak hours. Though they don't say this, they're doing this so that only people coming in during the lunch and dinner rushes will be hit with the full freight of Biden's hyperinflation. It's an attempt to mitigate customer anger.
DNC Front Group CNN:The price of a Wendy's Frosty could soon fluctuate throughout the day as the chain looks to introduce Uber-like surge pricing on its menu. The practice, known as "dynamic pricing," will begin testing in 2025, Wendy's recently revealed in an earnings call. It's part of a $20 million investment in new digital menu boards at its US restaurants that enable them to change prices depending on demand. Few details were released about the change, but Wendy's CEO Kirk Tanner said the new menus will let the fast food chain test "more enhanced features like dynamic pricing and day-part offerings along with AI-enabled menu changes and suggestive selling." "We expect our digital menu boards will drive immediate benefits to order accuracy, improve crew experience and sales growth from upselling and consistent merchandising execution," Tanner said on the call. In a statement Wednesday, Wendy's clarified that "dynamic pricing" will include new menus that could offer discounts at slower times of the day, denying the company will raise prices during peak demand. Thus, people who are of very limited means and are therefore especially vulnerable to Biden's Predatory Inflation can partly mitigate it by rearranging their eating times. Another serial plagiarist detected, this time at Columbia University:
The chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer of Columbia University's medical school, Alade McKen, plagiarized extensively in his doctoral dissertation, lifting entire pages of material, without attribution, from sources that include Wikipedia, according to a complaint submitted to the university on Wednesday. The allegations implicate approximately a fifth of McKen's 163-page dissertation, "'UBUNTU' I am because we are: A case study examining the experiences of an African-centered Rites of Passage program within a community-based organization," submitted to Iowa State University's School of Education in 2021. More than two of those pages are a near-verbatim facsimile of Wikipedia's entry on "Afrocentric education," which is not cited anywhere in the dissertation. Other pages lift paragraphs from well-known African scholars, including the University of Rwanda's Chika Ezeanya-Esiobu, while making small tweaks to their prose, such as reordering certain clauses or changing a "were" to a "was." Some of the scholars McKen allegedly plagiarized appear in the dissertation's bibliography but not in in-text citations. Others, like Ezeanya-Esiobu, an expert on "indigenous knowledge" who has worked with numerous international agencies, including the World Bank, aren't cited at all. "The passages you shared can definitely be classified as plagiarism," Ezeanya-Esiobu told the Washington Free Beacon. McKen lifts pages worth of material from Ezeanya-Esiobu's 2019 chapter "A Faulty Foundation: Historical Origins of Formal Education Curriculum in Africa," published in the Frontiers in African Business Research book series.Yes, he's black. Delaying the January 6 trial suppresses critical evidence that Americans deserve to hear. Donald Trump attempted to overturn an election and seize power. Our justice system must be able to bring him to trial before the next election. SCOTUS should decide this case promptly.
President Joe Biden's appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers did not score a ratings win for the NBC program, particularly with younger viewers. The Monday night interview with the president brought in some 852,000 average total viewers and 181,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research. The demo viewership marked a 32 percent drop compared to the same day last year, which tracks with the show's already declining demo viewership for the year -- down some 10 percent year to date.
Sam Bankman-Fried is asking for a shorter prison term, citing his autism. Betcha he'll be granted a sentence reduction! He also makes a crazy argument that he didn't lose-lose $8 billion in client funds, claiming that was just a "temporary liquidity issue." Now, of course, $8 billion was lost, but he's claiming that the losses only became losses-losses after control of the company was wrested from his corrupt clutches.
I'm having trouble believing that. I haven't heard any of his victims expressing new hope that they're getting their money back.
Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) now faces a potential sentencing far below the recommended duration, as his lawyers argue for a prison term of just 5 to 7 years. This plea comes in light of his autism diagnosis, which they propose should be a mitigating factor in his sentencing for fraud convictions related to the collapse of FTX. SBF's legal team has mounted a defense arguing that the prosecution's portrayal of a massive $8 billion loss to customers is misleading. They claim this figure represents a temporary liquidity shortfall rather than actual financial losses, a situation exacerbated by a surge in withdrawal requests in November 2022. This argument is bolstered by recent statements from a bankruptcy attorney for FTX, suggesting that full repayment to customers and creditors is likely, challenging the narrative of irreversible financial damage.

Judge Says Feds Can't 'Selectively' Prosecute Right-Wing Rioters While Ignoring Antifa
'No individuals associated with the left, who engaged in anti-far-right speech and violently suppressed the protected speech of Trump supporters, were charged with a federal crime for their part in starting riots at political events. That is textbook viewpoint discrimination.' By Luke Rosiak
A judge in California threw out charges against two far-right political agitators, saying the federal government engaged in "selective prosecution" by charging right-wing rioters but not the far-left agitators they fought against, and who did the exact same thing. Robert Rundo and Robert Boman attended a pro-Donald Trump "free speech" rally in Berkeley on April 15, 2017, as members of Rise Against Movement (RAM), a "far-right, white nationalist" group that engaged in violence against left-wing groups like Antifa. One of those groups was By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), which would descend upon right-wing events to shut them down and start fights. "Antifa and related far-left groups decided they needed to 'shut this down.' ... They came prepared for violence, bringing weapons including pepper spray, fireworks, knives, and homemade bombs," Judge Cormac J. Carney of the US District Court for the Central District of California wrote on February 21. "And they used those weapons, as well as their bodies, against Trump supporters and law enforcement. But after prosecutors filed an emergency motion to appeal, the Ninth Circuit had one of the right-wingers arrested the next day, February 22. Robert Rundo "is to remain in custody pending resolution of appellant's motion to stay release pending appeal. No lower court may order his release absent further order of this Court," the appeals court wrote. Judge Carney objected to the fact that federal prosecutors charged only right-wing participants, even though left-wing agitators performed identical conduct or worse at the same event--which prosecutors' own evidence acknowledged. "No individuals associated with the left, who engaged in anti-far-right speech and violently suppressed the protected speech of Trump supporters, were charged with a federal crime for their part in starting riots at political events. That is textbook viewpoint discrimination," he wrote. "Most telling in this case is the government's silence as to why it never pursued a case against a single member of Antifa or related far-left groups with respect to their violent conduct at pro-Trump events." "Defendants have established selective prosecution. There is no doubt that the government did not prosecute similarly situated individuals. Antifa and related far-left groups attended the same Trump rallies as Defendants with the expressly stated intent of shutting down, through violence if necessary, protected political speech. At the same Trump rallies that form the basis for Defendants' prosecution, members of Antifa and related far-left groups engaged in organized violence to stifle protected speech," he continued. "Of the 20 people arrested at the April 2017 Berkeley rally, the government charged only Defendants and other members of RAM under the Anti-Riot Act. The government charged no members of Antifa, BAMN, or other far-left groups under the Anti-Riot Act for their use of violence to shut down the rally," the judge wrote.
"To put it simply, RAM and Antifa, which both appear to use violence to silence protected speech, are identical in material respects--the only difference is their speech and beliefs," the judge wrote.
Read the whole thing. In another case of brazen selective prosecution, the feds have instructed a Blaze reporter who covered the J6 Mostly Peaceful Protests to surrender himself,
wearing only shorts and flip-flops. Most likely so they can humiliate him by putting him in jail immediately.
Baker told Blaze News he's been instructed to turn himself in at the agency's field office at 7 a.m. wearing "shorts and sandals" -- which he said signals that the plan likely is to go for "humiliation" and place him in an orange jumpsuit, handcuff him, and do the "prisoner transport routine." He added that after he's taken to the Dallas courthouse, he'll appear at a 10 a.m. hearing before a federal magistrate. "They didn't have to go this route," Baker told Blaze News on Tuesday evening. "We have been told that my charges are only misdemeanors. And my attorneys have been assured that this will be an 'in and out' affair with 'no intention' to detain me. But rather than issuing a simple order to appear, they went the 'arrest warrant' route." What's more, Baker said he still does not know what the charges against him are, noting to Blaze News that the powers that be won't tell his attorney about the charges because they believe Baker will post them on social media. They're keeping the charges against a citizen SECRET because they don't want the citizen to tell others what the charges are??! What cannot go on, will not.

Dune 2 is getting almost all raves. It's at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Critical Drinker raved about it. Midnight's Edge says it's generally a "great movie" but points out the film makes a couple of bows to The Gods of Woke Diversity. Film Threat says someone has finally done Dune right. Chris Gore says you don't have to see Dune Part One first, but "it would be nice." Personally, I thought Dune Part One was just okay. A big part of that is just that it's the first half of a complete story, so there's no actual ending to it. But I also felt the movie was a little Low-Energy Jeb, too. But it's pretty good. So it won't be an ordeal to check it out before seeing the conclusion. Here's a movie I think the Male Morons might appreciate: Kevin Costner has made another western, this one called Horizon, which is about the settlement of the west. He gets the western genre; I really liked Open Range, and I will continue insisting, until people finally believe me, that Wyatt Earp is an epic and nearly a masterpiece. I know, I know: "But Tombstone's the best!" So what? Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best Indy film, but that doesn't mean that Crusade isn't also good and worth watching. Update: TJM reminds me that Costner did not direct Wyatt Earp, Lawrence Kasdan did. Well, I'm sure Costner was a producer, too. The format of Horizon is really interesting. It's in two parts, but the parts are being released just about forty days apart. Part one comes out June 28, and then part two comes out August 16. That's so neat I'll see Part One just because it's almost a Sunday serial. Whether I see Part Two will depend on Part One, of course.

The headline is a play on what I remember as a quote from George H. W. Bush in his 1992 re-election campaign, facing a recession. He said, if my memory is correct, something like "We're enjoying a recession right now, and we're not enjoying it much."
I can't seem to find the quote, though. So you'll just have to be like a Democrat Voter and Trust Everything I Say Without Complaint or Question. Via Real Clear Investigations, Sanjai Bhagat & Marlo Oaks write that Bidenomics is just Bidenflation. It wasn't irony. It was an Orwellian lie.
During the Trump presidency, the average price increase for goods and services was a modest 7.6% over four years. That is less than 2% increase in prices for each of those four years. Contrast that with the more than 5% increase in prices for each of the last three years. This amounts to a staggering 17.6% increase in costs under President Biden's watch, with one year remaining. This isn't just a blip on the economic radar. It's a troubling trend that spells disaster for household budgets across the nation. These price increases are a direct result of the Biden Administration's spending bills. Ironically, one of these bills was named the Inflation Reduction Act.
The CEO of Kellogg's has a great idea for beating inflation: just eat cereal for dinner. From the New York Post:
For blue-collar workers--particularly, women workers--the impact has been devastating. Under the Trump Administration, real (inflation-adjusted) median weekly earnings saw a $63.10 increase for all workers and an impressive $78.80 increase for women workers. Fast forward to the Biden era, and real median weekly earnings have plummeted by $13.20 for all workers and a staggering $23.70 for women workers. Black workers and Hispanic workers have also fared significantly worse in the Biden era. Black workers experienced $65.70 increase in real weekly earnings in the Trump era compared to $28.80 in the Biden era. Hispanic workers experienced $47.20 increase in real weekly earnings in the Trump era compared to $7.80 in the Biden era. Middle-class families find themselves grappling not only with skyrocketing inflation but also with the specter of unaffordable housing. Mortgage interest rates have surged by a jaw-dropping 70% in just three years. During the Trump presidency, a 30-year fixed rate mortgage average in the U.S. was 3.89%. It is now 6.60%. Monthly mortgage payments for a median-priced home have ballooned by over $1,000 compared to the Trump era, making the dream of homeownership feel more like a distant fantasy than a tangible goal. So, is Bidenomics working? For the millions of struggling Americans grappling with inflation, stagnant wages, and unattainable housing, the answer is a resounding no.
"The cereal category has always been quite affordable and it tends to be a great destination when consumers are under pressure," the cereal company's CEO said. "If you think about the cost of cereal for a family versus what they might otherwise do, that's going to be much more affordable," he added. What am I, Seinfeld in the 90s? Who am I, Joey Carb-onato? We have total control of the border you guys
Ali BradleyNote that he was arrested twice in Montgomery County, and ICE had a "Detainer" out for him -- a request that local jurisdictions hold a criminal until ICE can pick them up to deport them -- but Montgomery is a sanctuary county and they ignored the ICE detainer and let him go. Then he murdered a two-year-old. Was it worth it? How many Americans have to die for "cultural enrichment" and "diversity"?
@AliBradleyTV #BREAKING DHS sources confirm Nilson Noel Trejo-Granados, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador arrested in connection with the murder of a 2-year-old child in DC Feb. 8th is an MS-13 gang member. Sources say the 25-year-old entered into the Hidalgo area as an unaccompanied minor back in May of 2014 but was apprehended a day later likely as someone trying to evade.
Because he was a minor, he was turned over to HHS/ORR and then he was released to his alleged father in New Jersey. He was showing up for court for years requesting more time to get an attorney--Then in 2022, records show he was a no show so he was ordered removed in absentia--But was not removed. Then he was arrested twice in Montgomery County, Maryland for theft--Detainers were lodged but he was not removed. ICE currently has a detainer on Trejo-Granados. Picture on the left is his current mug shot--Other photo via DHS sources is from when he entered through the Rio Grande Valley back in 2014.
A fifth suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of 2-year-old Jeremy Poou Caceres. The Prince George's County Police Department announced Monday they're now charging 25-year-old Nilson Trejo-Granados with first and second-degree murder. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations Baltimore spokesperson James Covington confirmed with FOX 5 that Trejo-Granados is an unlawfully present Salvadoran national. On Nov. 7, 2022, a Department of Justice immigration judge in Newark, New Jersey ordered Trejo-Granados' removal from the United States. According to the ICE records, the Montgomery County Police Department arrested Trejo-Granados on March 21, 2023, and charged him with theft. While those charges remain pending, ICE lodged an Immigration Detainer on Trejo-Granados with the Montgomery County Detention Center on March 22, 2023; however, the agency says MCDC refused to honor the detainer and Trejo-Granados was released by MCDC on March 27, 2023. MCPD arrested Trejo-Granados on September 26, 2023, and charged him with theft again, and attempt to obstruct and hindering. ICE lodged an Immigration Detainer with the MCDC on Trejo-Granados, once more, on Sept. 27, 2023; however, MCDC released Trejo-Granados from custody on October 12, 2023. A day after his most recent arrest was announced, ERO Baltimore lodged an Immigration Detainer against Trejo-Granados with the Prince George's County Detention Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Will this county finally honor the ICE detainer, now that this scumbag murdered a two-year-old? There might be enough heat that they're forced to -- but you know they're meanwhile freeing all the dangerous illegal alien criminals who haven't murdered an American child... yet. The mayor of Athens wants you to know that there are "many meanings" of sanctuary city.
Rep. Mike CollinsA Wisconsin town has been "overwhelmed" by an invasion of illegals.
@RepMikeCollins Twice-arrested illegal alien, Nilson Noel Trejo-Granados, faced 2 ICE detainers for deportation. Local authorities refused to honor both, and Nilson would go on to kill a 2-year-old in a stroller. These jurisdictions must be compelled to hold illegals charged with crimes.
Whitewater, Wisconsin, confronts significant challenges as its population swells by nearly 10% due to an influx of migrants, mainly from Nicaragua and Venezuela, bringing strains on resources, education, and law enforcement. Key Details: Whitewater's migrant population primarily hails from Nicaragua and Venezuela, with the real number possibly twice the official count. And another illegal alien criminal -- this one a rapist and knife-attacker -- from Sister Toldjah:
The influx has resulted in increased demand for ESL teachers, strains on emergency services, and budget challenges for the town.
Local law enforcement is under pressure, with increased calls and concerns over cartel activity and drug trafficking. Diving Deeper: Whitewater, Wisconsin, a town of 15,000, has experienced a demographic transformation with the arrival of approximately 1,000 migrants, primarily from Nicaragua and Venezuela. This influx has increased the town's population by almost 10%, presenting unique challenges and straining local resources.

Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Trump Argument on Presidental Immunity
An "activist" judge has decided that he can rule, on her own authority, that Trump may not run for president in the state of Illinois.
A Cook County judge has ordered the removal of former President Donald Trump from Illinois' primary ballot, but has put her order on hold until Friday in anticipation of an appeal. The decision comes on the same day the Supreme Court agreed to take up consideration of Trump's presidential immunity in his January 6th case. Key Details: Cook County Circuit Court Judge Tracie Porter issued the ruling Wednesday, citing much of a similar ruling out of the Colorado Supreme Court called the state's "rationale compelling." Porter immediately stayed her own ruling, writing that the "decision could not be the ultimate outcome" given expected appeals. Trump's campaign has dismissed the ruling as "unconstitutional," slamming Porter as an "activist Democrat judge." ... The State Board of Elections previously and unanimously rejected the same bid to block Trump from Illinois' ballot under the 14th Amendment last month, but Judge Porter found the board's decision to be "clearly erroneous."

A New York judge has ruled that former President Trump must continue to pay a $454 million penalty in a civil fraud case, but granted a temporary pause on some restrictions, allowing Trump to apply for loans. Key Details: Justice Anil Singh denied Trump's request to pause the enforcement of $454 million in penalties but allowed loan applications and leadership positions in NY businesses. Trump offered a $100 million bond during the appeal, stating that securing a bond for the full amount was "impossible." The ruling is temporary, pending a full panel review of Trump's motion to delay payment. Diving Deeper: In a significant decision, Justice Anil Singh of the New York appellate division ruled against former President Donald Trump's request to stay the enforcement of over $454 million in penalties. These penalties were imposed in a civil fraud case for allegedly inflating his net worth to gain tax and insurance benefits. Trump's proposal to post a $100 million bond during the appeal process was part of an effort to address the challenge of securing a bond for the full penalty amount, which he claimed was unfeasible. It's my opinion that this is so obviously outrageous and unconstitutional on its face the Supreme Court will hear a challenge to New York's law and this particular ruling, and will dispose of it. I think Trump right now is spamming out motions, because getting a Supreme Court review requires, as a first step, that you exhaust all possible avenues of legal relief in lower courts. I'm not worried about this one. You cannot levy an unconstitutionally excessive fine which a defendant cannot pay and then say "We will not hear your appeal until you pay the unconstitutionally excessive fine you cannot pay." That is an obvious Catch-22, and basically just denying all due process to a defendant. And this is on top of the obvious selective, partisan prosecution: Kathy Hochul has reassured all other land developers that this twisted application of the law will not apply to anyone except Donald Trump, and the partisan DEI AG is literally trolling Trump on Twitter by posting the daily interest increases to the fine, $114,000 per day. So it is my suggestion as a Legal Expert (I am in the media; I am an expert in whatever is in the news this minute) that people relax a little about this one. Justice will be done. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Trump's argument that he has some degree of immunity for actions he took as president. I think he hurt his cause by claiming total immunity, but the Supreme Court doesn't have to find that he has absolute immunity. They can just find he has some. Crucially, this delays the the DC prosecution for "insurrection" that the partisan liberal activist Democrat judge is speedrunning so that she can get Trump convicted before the election.
The Supreme Court of the United States will decide if former President Trump can be prosecuted on election interference charges. On Wednesday, the SCOTUS said that it would hear arguments and issue a ruling on the immunity claim on April 22, resulting in the case being put on hold. This means no trial can take place.
Advertisement According to the order, the case could take months to resolve. A trial was initially set for March 4, however, Trump's case has been on pause while the former president pushes for an immunity appeal in the lower courts. The order states that the court will decide "whether and if so to what extent a former president enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office.

Americans have already spent a record-high portion of their disposable income on food since Joe Biden became president. A new study by the Buckeye Institute warns that food will become even more unaffordable if Biden or any other Democrat wins the White House this November due to their destructive climate policies.Oops! Did I say "intelligent and proactive political opponent?" Silly me. The current iteration of the feckless Republican party is far more interested in the graft bonanza of Ukraine to worry about those pesky little potential voters who are struggling with their food budgets and would dearly love an alternative to the smug, sclerotic and thoroughly debunked policies of the Democrat elite. But they won't get one anytime soon, because the Republican elite is indistinguishable from the Democrats...pushing unpopular policies that benefit their bank accounts and their masters in China, Ukraine and defense contractors (Crenshaw, McConnell, and Graham for a start!). Too bad, because the idea of a new generation of Democrat voters who cross over to vote Republican is a very doable thing. Imagine a Reagan Democrat revolution in 2024. Yeah...I'm not holding my breath...there is far too much graft available, and besides, those working class voters are icky!

Cook County Judge Tracie Porter issued a ruling Wednesday evening disqualifying Trump from the March 19 Republican primary and the Nov. 5 general election ballots, citing the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause.” The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Feb. 8 on Trump’s appeal of the Colorado Supreme Court’s Dec. 19 ruling disqualifying him. “The arrogance of this is appalling, and waiting until this late in the day to do it, giving the president, the former president just until Friday to file an appeal to the Supreme Court. It is already Wednesday, and then to say at the end of it, she issues an order that says my ruling will be further stayed if the U.S. Supreme Court enters an opinion inconsistent with this order,” Wisenberg told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “Well, guess what? If they do what most people think they’re going to do, they’re going to enter an opinion that makes it impossible for Illinois to take him off the ballot. So, the arrogance of that is just, should not astonish me, but it does.”As I said, this is such abject hackery that it can only mean they know that despite all the sham charges and Stalinist show trials being hurled at Trump, they fear he is going to prevail. Even with all the rigged courts and juries arrayed against him, they are all collectively houses of cards built on foundations of sand that will collapse in and on top of Willis, Smith, Chutkan, Bragg, Engoron and all the rest of the soulless amoral scoundrels who have played their part in dragging us down into a cesspool of banana republic tyranny. Here's another tell that reeks of flop-sweat and panic. Bull dyke Bob's Big Boy-bobbed Rachel Maddow reverberated this bilge off the walls of her poisonous, prolapsing uterus:
“The cravenness of the court is evident in what they are doing with the pacing here. You know, putting this off for seven weeks and sitting on it for two weeks for no reason. Obviously, pushing all of the cases that they can push to a point where Trump will be standing for election before any of us have heard the verdicts in any of those cases. Got it. It is the timing. It is the idea that the immunity thing is an open question. Is presidential immunity and open question? What is the most famous pardon in American history? Gerald Ford for pardoning Richard Nixon once he was resigned and a former president. Why did Gerald Ford pardon him? As a result, occurring before his resignation as president of the meeting as a result of stuff he did while president, quote, Richard Nixon has become liable to possible indictment in trial and whether or not he shall be prosecuted depends on findings of the appropriate grand jury and discussion of the authorized prosecutor.” She added, “The idea that this is an open question and it might be that a former president can never be tried for something that he did because he was president when he did it is disproven by a plain reading of American history and the whole justification for Richard Nixon being pardoned in the first place. The idea that it has to be taken up is them saying that the sky is green. I think even for the non-lawyers among us to be able to say, this sky is not green even on our worst day. This is BS, and you are doing this as a tactic to help for political friend, partisan patron. For you to say that this is something the court needs to decide because it is unclear in the law is fragrant bullpucky and they know it and don’t care that we know it. That is disturbing about the future legitimacy of the court.”This is in reaction to the decision by SCOTUS to put a serious torpedo into the attempt to prosecute Trump for the trumped up insurrection charges vis a vis the question of his immunity and crucially prevent him from both running for and ultimately winning a re-RE-election. The salient point that is lost on Maddow is that unlike Nixon, who may or may not have been guilty of crimes that might have resulted in some form of criminal sentencing, Trump has not only neither been charged nor convicted of any crimes, let alone insurrection (at least not yet), the overwhelming evidence shows that in no way, shape or form did he do anything other than exercise his first amendment rights to peacefully protest what he thought – and what we know beyond any doubt whatsoever – was a stolen election. Good for SCOTUS for taking this up now and hopefully putting an end to this Stalinist banana republic bullshit. Then again, what actual power does the Supreme Court really have considering that even after ruling Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants' original illegal excusing of a billion or so dollars in student loan debt was illegal, Joey pardoned another billion in a naked vote-buying scheme to attract a youth vote that is abandoning him like everyone else? I hesitate calling this a constitutional crisis since it is obvious to all that the Junta in power has shredded and burned the bits and pieces of that parchment that it doesn't use to either shield itself or otherwise bastardize it for its own purposes of forcing socialist tyranny down our throats.
Meanwhile, in a not altogether unrelated story vis a vis SCOTUS, Elaine Chao has told her mock turtle husband "you go now!"
I have been waiting for a very long time to write this column, and yet I can’t quite summon up the joy and relief I thought I’d get out of it. We’re speaking, of course, about the long-awaited denouement of Mitch McConnell, the current Senate minority leader and longtime head of the GOP’s caucus in that body for 17 long, brutal, underachieving years. . . . . . If you’ve been a regular reader of this column, you’re aware of two nicknames I’ve given to McConnell and the brand of “leadership” predominating in the Senate caucus he’s controlled since 2007. I call him “Morphine Mitch,” which isn’t so much a takeoff on as a correction of the “Cocaine Mitch” nickname he earned when a ship owned by his family was found by authorities to have been carrying a load of Bolivian marching powder a few years back. “Cocaine Mitch” might have some validity, but in truth it’s far from accurate. With cocaine, people are energized, or at least that’s what I understand. And nobody has ever been energized by Mitch McConnell. . . . . . McConnell has actively sabotaged conservatives who have run for the Senate. It started all the way back in 2010 when he did it to Joe Miller, a Tea Party conservative who by all rights ought to be in his third term representing the people of Alaska, and it’s been a mostly unbroken string since. And in 2022, McConnell pulled out every stop he could to ensure that Republicans didn’t capture a Senate majority — especially screwing over Don Bolduc, Blake Masters, Adam Laxalt, and Mehmet Oz, not to mention the GOP nominee Kelly Tshibaka in Alaska, who ended up losing to swamp rat Lisa Murkowski thanks to McConnell’s well-documented machinations there. . . . . . The Senate never cuts the federal budget. It never defunds, say, Planned Parenthood. It couldn’t unwind Obamacare. It can’t control the border. I could go on all night naming things the majority of Americans want but McConnell has never produced. But he sure can rally the troops to fire off billions of dollars to keep the Ukraine war going. McConnell is terrific at counting votes, mind you. It isn’t that he’s incompetent. It’s that it’s far more important for Mitch McConnell to have a majority within the Senate GOP caucus than it is for the caucus to have a majority in the Senate. And should Republicans ever stop underachieving in those Senate races, they’d be sitting on 55 to 60 seats. Which would be pretty good for Republican voters. But not so good for Morphine Mitch . . . . . . McConnell would rather see Democrats elected than more Josh Hawleys or Ted Cruzes who ask rude questions at caucus meetings.Friend and friend of the blog Scott McKay eviscerates Yertle McChiCom in excruciating detail. And yet, for whatever reasons, he managed to prevent a truly horrid scumbag in the form of Merrick Garland from getting on the Supreme Court. If I want to be cynical, as is my wont, I'd say he made a deal in anticipation of Hillary Clinton winning in 2016 to allow her to name Ruth Bader-Meinhoff's successor. And we all know how that worked out. While Trump did get three picks to the court, at best Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Coney-Island have not been of the Scalia/Thomas/Alito bent, have they? And now we have the Trump "immunity" and 14th Amendment bastardizations coming up, as well as the less well known but perhaps equally crucial challenges to Deep State Leviathan in the form of the Chevron case as well as that of attempt to tax unrealized profits. As far as McConnell's replacement, the name of Rand Paul has been floated by none other than noted conservative stalwart . . . RFK Jr?! Tell Maddow to load that in her sybian and ride it.

Below, Ashley Merchant asks Bradley if Fani Willis began her affair with Sweetdick before he was hired (in November 2021).
He says "Absolutely." He would later claim, under oath, that this was mere "speculation." Question: Have you ever answered a question with "absolutely," when you were guessing? He's using "Absolutely," he now claims, to mean: "Maybe, who knows." A "lawyer" is claiming this. He then says "it [the affair] started when she left the DA's office [as assistant district attorney] and was judge in South Fulton. They met at municipal court CLE [Continuing Legal Education] conference." No suggestion that he's just "speculating" and "guestimating." HOW DOES SOMEONE "SPECULATE" SUCH PRECISE DETAILS AND DATES?!!

And he'll un-step down when he senses that the current controversy has passed.
So this explains why he's not ragequitting the Senate -- this is all a ploy. Just like Kevin McCarthy stuck around in the House just to repeatedly attempt to be re-elected Speaker, and only finally left after a popular consensus choice had been elected to replace him. This is a fake announcement of stepping down -- he'll be continuing to scheme to remain in power. He just doesn't want to be formally evicted from leadership.Sean DavisMore Luciferian scheming from this evil vampire.
@seanmdav Senate insiders tell me McConnell's surprise announcement is a desperate move to retain his grip on power, as his support within the conference is cratering following his disastrous attempt to rubber stamp Biden's open borders amnesty policy. Rather than face a formal vote of removal, McConnell announced his plan to resign the leadership post in November. Career Senate staff tell me momentum was building within the Senate GOP to formally oust McConnell as leader. "Even a growing number of moderates were angry at the chaos he was sowing in the conference," one senior Senate GOP aide told me. An open rebellion against McConnell was in the works due to his "repeated sabotage of Republican priorities and border inaction," the aide said. Others told me McConnell's move was entirely cynical, and an attempt to cling to power for another 8 months. He's just trying to get ahead of "a possible defenestration," one aide said.
Greg PriceShawn Fleetwood writes at The Federalist that none of McConnell's traitorous henchmen, who repeatedly, defiantly put Ukraine's and China's interests above the US's, can be allowed to succeed him. (Assuming he actually ever gives up power, which I definitely do not assume.)
@greg_price11 I know I may ask for a lot out of our Republican leaders but I will personally not be looking past Mitch McConnell's career of handing Democrats policy victories, his recent escapade of breaking apart the Senate GOP Conference and legislating open borders to send his precious billions to Ukraine, just because he did his job on the Supreme Court eight years ago. It's the most DC Republican thing ever when they demand endless praise for a politician because of one good thing he did nearly a decade ago even though he has by any metric spent the last three years being Joe Biden's best ally in Congress.
While backlash from Republican voters and the caucus' more conservative senators ultimately killed the proposal, the finished product proved McConnell never had any interest in securing America's southern border. The only thing that matters to him and Senate GOP leadership is bankrolling Ukraine's forever war against Russia. This sentiment was further confirmed after the bill's defeat, in which McConnell and Senate leadership rammed through a $95 billion foreign spending package that included (mostly) funding for Ukraine and zero provisions addressing America's ongoing border invasion. Of course, the Kentucky Republican had help pushing the measure across the finish line. Despite objections from numerous GOP senators, the bill passed 70-29, with 22 Republicans voting "yea." Among those who supported its passage are GOP Sens. John Thune of South Dakota and John Cornyn of Texas. Both are viewed as contenders to replace McConnell as party leader in the Senate. Contrary to McConnell's belief that dumping taxpayer dollars into Ukraine is the "single most important event going on in the world," Biden's border invasion is overwhelming communities across the country and costing American lives. Just ask the parents of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student who was reportedly murdered by an illegal alien from Venezuela last weekend while out on a jog; the 14-year-old girl allegedly raped by a different Venezuelan illegal in Virginia last week; or the parents of the two-year-old who was allegedly killed by an El Salvadorian illegal in Maryland earlier this month; or the many other victims who have suffered from illegal alien crimes. Becoming an effective opposition party requires the Senate GOP to elect a fresh conservative leader who places American interests first. Replacing McConnell with a Republican of the same low-T caliber who puts Ukraine's needs above America's will do nothing but ensure the Senate GOP will continue to lose at every turn.
