Brian Stelter is running for a spot on a school board.
Gee I wonder if he'll be pushing trans shit and DEI.What's his job, by the way?
Former CNN reporter Brian Stelter is seeking a seat on the Readington Township school board. The onetime host of Reliable Sources, which aired on CNN for nine years before its cancellation in 2022, is one of six candidates interviewing tonight to fill a vacant seat caused by the resignation of Christina Napoli.
Oh. Are we sure that's a healthy environment for a child to be raised in?
Stelter, a 38-year-old stay-at-home father...

...registered to vote in Readington in November 2022. He is a registered Republican, but some Republicans are opposing him.Just a couple!
Really? He held CNN accountable? Or the NYT? Or WP? No, he held two media companies accountable: Fox News and FUCKING JOE ROGAN. Speaking of men that lactate: Britain's NHS says that men's breastmilk is just as good for a baby as women's. Wait, what? The Daily Mail:
"During Stelter's tenure at CNN, he spewed anti-parental rights, anti-republican, and pro-Biden statements on air," the Readington Township Republican Party said in a statement posted on social media. "Phil Murphy's COVID-19 school lockdowns and radical curriculum mandates have led to an education recession in New Jersey. We must support conservative common sense candidates for our Board of Education -- not disgraced liberal CNN anchors." A former New York Times reporter, Stelter has been a staunch advocate for holding the media accountable.
Drug-induced milk from transgender women who were born male is as good for babies as a mother's breast milk, an NHS Trust has said. A leaked letter from the Medical Director of University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust describes both as 'human milk' and says that they are the 'ideal food for infants'. The letter was sent on behalf of the Trust's Chief Executive in response to a campaign group's complaint about the Trust's gender policies. It defends the controversial practice of 'induced lactation' by means of powerful medication to enable trans women to simulate breastfeeding. It also claims that the term 'human milk' is 'meant to be neutral and is not gender-biased'. But responding to the letter, Labour MP Rosie Duffield said: 'Babies can't be used as guinea pigs for someone else's lifestyle choice.Wrong! Literally the only thing that matters now is the comfort and affirmation of transgenders.
John Harwood -- appointed by NBC to be an impartial moderator at a Republican debate -- declares Joe Biden the most successful president in modern history.
Dahlia Lithwick and John Harwood say that Biden doesn't need a working memory -- he just has to "use his judgment," basing that judgment on... past events he can't remember and some events his old mind has confabulated out of dreams and other men's biographies.
John Harwood
@JohnJHarwood no one has explained the mindless (and pointless) irresponsibility of current press coverage as well as this from [Slate partisan goon] @Dahlialithwick "ask yourself why Biden, who is stipulated #Old, has managed to helm the most successful presidency in modern history. "the reason: he has for the most part surrounded himself with experts, genuine scientists, respected economists, effective governmental actors and advisers." "Governance is not an action film. "There is no psychodrama w/someone in a black T-shirt mincing along the ledge of a skyscraper, ninja-kicking his way down to the stairwell, where he karate-chops the baddies and then crawls his way into a vault where the nuclear reactor sits." "No. "Despite our fascination with the Great Man theory of American lawmaking, the presidency is an office that largely turns on staffing, planning, negotiation, and execution.
Um, the economy roared under Trump, America was at peace for the first time in... forever, and crime was low.
"Joe Biden doesn't have to remember every single detail himself - he has to use his judgment." "If you are unconvinced, the best evidence that we keep falling for Great Man fantasy propaganda is the unmitigated failure of the Trump presidency. "Here we had a self-described loner literally trumpeting his I-alone-can-fix-it worldview, all embodied in Great Man megalomania." "He managed to accomplish virtually nothing: Almost none of his promises for single-handed economic revitalization, world domination, or intrepid urban crime-solving panned out.
...I encourage you to stick with him. JK Rowling blasted leftists claiming to be "kind" who would force women to occupy prisons with men who have previously raped women.
some commentators will say they agree w/Dahlia, but Democrats could somehow still push Biden aside to field a younger/stronger candidate. has anyone who knows the first thing about winning presidential elections credibly explained just how that could happen? no

The trans activist outrage that ensues on here whenever I share my belief that jailed women shouldn't be used as validation tools or emotional support props for trans-identified male sex offenders is as revealing as it's predictable. Such activists can't bring themselves to concede that a man who was convicted of harming women/girls ought not to be incarcerated with the demographic to whom he is a proven danger, because if they do, all their stock arguments ('no sexual predator would bother to pretend to be trans', 'no trans woman has ever harmed a woman in a women's only space', 'there is no danger in making all single sex spaces unisex') are exposed as the lies they are. If they admit that even a single man isn't a woman because he says he is, the entire edifice of gender identity ideology crumbles. This leaves activists who rely on bullying and slogans with nowhere to go but 'you hate all trans people', 'so you're saying all trans people are rapists' and, of course, 'you are causing a trans genocide.' I think this particular issue also causes conniptions because it threatens the activists' self image. These are people who preen themselves on their kindness and virtue, so acknowledging the truth - that they're indifferent to vulnerable women being assaulted or traumatised - threatens the idea they have of themselves. They therefore double down. The prisoners complaining aren't really afraid of rape or voyeurism or violence at all, they say. They're 'not exactly delicate flowers', as one self-identified empath put it. If you support putting violent and sexually predatory men into women's prisons, you are knowingly forcing those women to live in fear of, and, in some proven cases, to suffer abuse that many of them will have endured pre-incarceration. You are not kind. You are not righteous. Women have the basic human right not to suffer cruel and unusual punishment. #WomensRightsAreHumanRights
The ACLU is suing a children's hospital for refusing to cut off little girl's breasts. You do this for older women, they say. It's discriminatory!
ACLU of Colorado
@ACLUofColorado BREAKING: We're suing Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) after they refused to provide top surgery for our 18-year-old transgender plaintiff -- all while doing the same surgeries for cisgender patients. This is discrimination -- full stop.
Note: They conduct masectomies on older women when they have breast cancer and are trying to stop the cancer from metastasizing throughout their bodies. But that's exactly the same as mentally-ill children being raised by evil, mentally-ill parents seeking an experimental cosmetic surgery "psychiatric" cure for their autism, depression, and schizophrenia. This guy is such a whiny bitchmade boygirl, seriously, how did he get into the military?

The image:
Shabbos KestenbaumI hate the "feel safe" framing, but this is hardcore Hitler-level anti-Jew propaganda. Here's the entire poster, for context, though the antisemitic part is too small to see in this image:
@ShabbosK Harvard *faculty* just posted an explicitly antisemitic poster depicting a Jewish hand controlling the black mind. With Professors like these, it's easy to see why we Jewish students don't feel safe in class

Here's the zoom-in of the Jewish Hand holding nooses around the necks of minorities:

Antisemtism in white people is dangerous Naziism which must be opposed with all the force of the armed state, but antisemitism in brown people is a vital and necessary show of #Resistance. Accept it or be imprisoned, peons.
Mbthat posted an anti-Semitic cartoon over the holiday weekend depicting a hand emblazoned with the Star of David holding a noose around the necks of one black man and one Arab man. In the background, a black arm swings a machete scrawled with the phrase, "liberation movement." The image was posted alongside a message from the faculty group arguing that blacks and Palestinians are natural allies: "African people have a profound understanding of apartheid and occupation," it read. Several prominent members of the Harvard faculty belong to the group, including History Department chairman Sidney Chalhoub. The Brazilian historian has sparred with Harvard leadership in the wake of Hamas's Oct. 7 attack on Israel--in November, he signed a letter condemning the school's "Combating Antisemitism" initiative, which he and other signees called "dangerously one-sided." As chair of Harvard's history department, Chalhoub "play[s] a key role in the life of the department," according to a 2022 university handbook. He is responsible for developing the department's "curricular plan"--the history classes Harvard will offer--as well as recruiting and promoting faculty and overseeing "the process for graduate student admissions."

For years and years, YouTube critics of woke entertainment have suspected that -- and provided some evidence suggesting that -- Disney executives themselves were behind the thousand hit-pieces written by the shill entertainment media trashing fans as "racist," "sexist," and "homophobic," and claiming that every single piece of woke DEIney entertainment is brilliant, and only a "tiny minority" of toxic white supremacists disagreed.
A new quote from an anonymous DEIsney executive, provided to entertainment reporter Matt Belloni, shows that, at the very least, DEIsney executives agree with the media shills branding any critics of DEIsney as Nazis. All of this started last Thursday when Belloni wrote up a survey noting that DEIsney had fallen from one of the country's most broadly esteemed companies, to one of its most mistrusted and despised.Bob Iger Has a Brand Problem, But Does It Matter? An exclusive survey reveals that Americans (and especially Republicans) are twice as likely to think of Disney unfavorably as other media companies, even if that doesn't necessarily mean they won't see Pixar, Star Wars, or other Mouse House movies in theaters. The rest is paywalled, but the survey found DEIsney's popularity to be among the lowest of all major corporations:
But how big is this problem? And does it actually prevent people from going to see Disney movies? That was the impetus behind a study called "Left and Right: Are Political Divisions Impacting the Box Office?" that was prepared for Puck by The Quorum, which has done other branding research for us. This project surveyed 2,000 people over five days in January to test the conventional wisdom that Republican-leaning audiences feel alienated from Hollywood in general and Disney in particular.
Respondents were presented with 29 companies in various industries (Pepsi, Kraft, Toyota), including 13 media companies (all the major Hollywood studios and a few new entrants like Apple and Amazon, which bring their own general brand profile), and asked if they had a favorable or unfavorable opinion of those companies. (They could also answer "no opinion" or "not familiar.") The results were a bit unexpected. >b?All 29 companies have high favorability ratings (that's consistent with most opinion surveys of major companies), and people actually carry pretty positive feelings about the major studios. But Disney clearly scores the lowest, with 21 percent unfavorable. No other entertainment company had an unfavorable rating above 11 percent, meaning Disney is nearly twice as disliked as any other Hollywood entity we included. (Hulu, which is owned by Disney, scored especially well at only 8 percent unfavorable, indicating the problem is the Disney brand, not any of its sub-brands necessarily.)

The executive informed Belloni, "Everyone says 'It's the movies, stupid,' which is an easy thing for people to say. More appealing movies are a great way to jump the political issues. But more and more, our audience (or the segment of the audience that has been politicized) equate the perceived messaging in a film as a quality issue." This executive continued, "They won't say they find female empowerment distasteful in The Marvels or Star Wars [the latest trilogy starring Daisy Ridley], but they will say they don't like those movies because they are 'bad.'" The executive concluded, "So 'make better movies' becomes code for 'make movies that conform to regressive gender stereotypes or put men front and center in the narrative.' Which is what you're seeing now, and what Bob [Iger]'s pivot is about right now."As a YouTuber pointed out, no one criticizing DEIsney is afraid to say "we hate woke girlbosses and are sick of seeing men pushed into subordinate roles as cringing servants to the girlboss." It's front-and-center of all critiques: Here's Critical Drinker today announcing that the era of the "girlboss" is over. He points out the problem isn't just that female characters are unbelievably competent and flawless, but that every male character is portrayed as incompetent and venal. No one is "afraid to say" this. It is said by nearly every critic. They also go on to say that not only are these movies toxic and alienating in their messaging, but they're also objectively bad in all other categories having nothing to do with woke messaging or spiteful feminist politics. But there you go: A DEIsney executive announcing our movies are great -- It's just the audience that's wrong.

Also, the White House kitchen serves tapioca at bedtime every day (at 4:30 pm).
A presidential historian said during an interview over the weekend that one of the main driving forces behind President Joe Biden's decision to run for re-election was his wife, Jill Biden. Douglas Brinkley, author of "The Unfinished Presidency," told CBS News' "Face The Nation" on Sunday that Jill Biden has done the exact opposite of what other first ladies have done. He noted that both former Presidents Harry Truman and Lyndon B. Johnson decided to leave office because their wives told them they didn't want to serve a second term. ... "That's not the case with Jill Biden. She likes power. She wants to stay. She wants some sense of revenge," he continued. "She teaches in Virginia Community College. This milieu around our building here, this is her home. And the idea of relinquishing it all after you've taken the slings and arrows of the last years of attacks, and at the last minute, just when you get all the delegates you're going to say, I'm going to open it up to a bunch of people -- it's very childish when you read those kind of reports."LOL. "Doctor" Jill teaches at community college. Quick, look up how many millions Chinese donors have granted to Virginal Community College since she was "hired."

People say he can't pick DeSantis, because DeSantis and Trump both live in Florida, and the Constitution say the VP and president must have different states as their abodes.
But Trump can just change his main legal address, if he likes. DeSantis can't because he's governor of Florida, but Trump could just claim that, say, Virginia is his new home. Buy a house, get mail delivered there, bing-bing-bong. Obviously Trump could just make his second home his legal residence -- New York City-- but New York is such a toxic environment right now, I would not advise Trump to give that state of lunatics any more jurisdiction over him than they have now. Democrats have routinely demonstrated that these residence requirements are paper requirements only. They routinely run for office in states while actually living in DC or the suburbs around DC. Anyway, here's his shortlist:Former President Trump indicated that at least a half a dozen contenders -- including three former rivals for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination -- are on his shortlist for running mate. The commanding frontrunner for the GOP nomination had plenty of praise for one of those potential candidates who joined Trump at Fox News town hall on Tuesday in this upstate South Carolina city. During the program, which ran on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle," Trump was asked about half a dozen potential running mate choices: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida, and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, a Democrat turned independent. "Are they all on your shortlist?" host Laura Ingraham asked the former president. "They are," Trump answered. "Honestly, all of those people are good. They're all good, they're all solid."Even DeSanctimonious?! The gay adulterer groomer who shut down Florida against Trump's demands?!

Just like the bonkers lefties who are programming it.
Before getting to the main story, which might strike you as just a bit of silliness, let's establish the context: Google is all-in on "combating misinformation," which is code for "suppressing rightwing critiques of the leftwing agenda," and routinely uses its AI to search for Forbidden Words, like "excess mortality" or "open borders," to reduce the visibility of anyone saying those words, and demonetize them, and even deplatform them completely. Google is now unleashing propaganda cartoons to "pre-bunk" "misinformation" and "conspiracy theories" that Google AI has been taught by its lunatic Sensitivity Coders to suppress. In the days before the 2020 election, social media platforms began experimenting with the idea of "pre-bunking": pre-emptively debunking misinformation or conspiracy theories by telling people what to watch out for. Now, researchers say there's evidence that the tactic can work -- with some help from Homer Simpson and other well-known fictional characters from pop culture. In a study published Wednesday, social scientists from Cambridge University and Google reported on experiments in which they showed 90-second cartoons to people in a lab setting and as advertisements on YouTube, explaining in simple, nonpartisan language some of the most common manipulation techniques. The cartoons succeeded in raising people's awareness about common misinformation tactics such as scapegoating and creating a false choice, at least for a short time, they found. The study was published in the journal Science Advances and is part of a broad effort by tech companies, academics and news organizations to find new ways to rebuild media literacy, as other approaches such as traditional fact-checking have failed to make a dent in online misinformation."Media literacy" means, here, "trust in the media." Their idea of a "literate" media user is someone who blindly believes all the bullshit the media tells him. People have lost that "literacy," and the media wants to reprogram people so they are possessed of this "literacy" once again.
People have realized the "fact" checking industry is a partisan scam paid for by leftwing bureaucrats using taxpayer funds, and no longer view "fact" checkers as authoritative or even credible. So obviously "that's a problem," and "you need to find a way around that." So start blasting people with propaganda cartoons. Cartoons, so that we can get those Early Readers filled with "media literacy" at as early an age as possible.
"Words like 'fact-checking' themselves are becoming politicized, and that's a problem, so you need to find a way around that," said Jon Roozenbeek, lead author of the study and a postdoctoral fellow at Cambridge University's Social Decision-Making Lab.
The researchers compared the effects to vaccination, "inoculating" people against the harmful effects of conspiracy theories, propaganda or other misinformation. The study involved nearly 30,000 participants. The latest research was persuasive enough that Google is adopting the approach in three European countries -- Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic -- in order to "pre-bunk" anti-refugee sentiment around people fleeing Ukraine. The company said it doesn't have plans to push "pre-bunk" videos in the United States ahead of the midterm elections this fall but said that could be an option for future election cycles. Or it's a cause that advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations or social media influencers could take up and pay for on their own, Google and the researchers said. (The videos are "freely available for all to use as they wish," their YouTube page says.)As mentioned, Google's AI is a 24/7/365 millisecond-by-millisecond surveillance engine and censor. While Google's secret algorithms are constantly manipulating public opinion, they're almost invisible. But this is highly visible -- we can now see with our eyes what Google's AI has been taught to push as the correct worldview. Google's AI program "Gemini" can create computer-generated images based on user prompts. But the AI is coded to favor "Diversity!" and "Inclusivity!" over anything else, including historical accuracy and common sense. Thus, when you ask Google AI to generate images representing the Founding Fathers of the United States, you get three Indians and a black guy:

James Biden's testimony is a significant development in the impeachment inquiry. His involvement in the Biden family's business ventures, particularly those with foreign entities, has been a focal point of the investigation. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has stated that the Biden family and their business associates brought in more than $24 million between 2014 and 2019 by "selling Joe Biden as 'the brand' around the world." James Biden is also expected to be questioned on "loan repayment" checks -- one for $200, 000 and another for $40, 000 -- that he wrote to the president. Comer said that James Biden "received $600, 000 in loans from Americore -- a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator." "On March 1, 2018, Americore wired a $200, 000 loan into James and Sara Biden's personal bank account -- not their business bank account," he continued. "And then, on the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200, 000 check from this same personal bank account to Joe Biden."Politico actually bothered reporting on James Biden's promotion of the bankrupt company Americore, using Joe Biden's name to open doors.
The brother he's talking about is Joe Biden, of course.
In 2017, a hospital operator set out to build a rural health care empire with the help of a Philadelphia-area consultant. The consultant, Jim Biden, had no experience running hospitals. But he did understand the federal government and had ties to labor unions. Perhaps more important, he was the younger brother of Joe Biden. The final years of the Obama administration had cemented the former vice president's towering stature in the world of health care, where he had made the fight against cancer a top federal priority and, then, a centerpiece of his legacy-building efforts. For then 67-year-old Jim Biden, the third of four Biden siblings, his ties to his older brother made up much of his pitch as he pursued deals that could help Americore make money from drug rehab, lab testing and even cancer treatment. "This would be a perfect platform to expose my Brothers team to [your] protocol," Jim Biden wrote to the CEO of a Tampa-area company that controlled licensing rights to an experimental cancer treatment the hospital operator wanted to offer. "Could provide a great opportunity for some real exposure."
He never spoke to Hunter or Jim Biden about their "businesses," though. And he never spoke to their "business" associates. And when he did speak to their "business" associates, it was just to talk about the fucking weather. You believe that, right? You're a weak willed individual of very low IQ who will robotically nod your stupid puppet head at any bullshit the media feeds you, right? If the moron media told you that you were a bug, you'd believe that too, right?
The email, obtained by POLITICO from a person close to the company, documents one of the many ways in which Jim Biden invoked his brother's name and clout in the course of his work with Americore, which has since gone bankrupt, wreaking havoc in rural communities in the process. Jim Biden spoke of plans to give his brother equity in Americore, according to one former Americore executive, and install him on its board, according to a second. He also said that if Americore could find a winning business model for rural health care, his brother could promote the company in a future presidential campaign, a third former executive told POLITICO. All were granted anonymity to discuss a company mired in legal and political controversy In order to fund Americore's expansion, Jim Biden offered to secure capital from investors in the Middle East, according to the emails and executives. When the expected money did not arrive, it aggravated Americore's preexisting financial issues. The company collapsed, leaving behind unpaid bills and neglected patients.
... In September, the Securities and Exchange Commission accused one of Jim Biden's business partners of fraud related to loans to the company, allegations the business partner has denied. Meanwhile, the Justice Department found that Americore's hospital in Pennsylvania entered into sham service agreements and paid kickbacks as part of a scheme that billed the government for medically unnecessary lab tests the hospital shipped out to be performed elsewhere. Those actions are at the center of a federal prosecution of a $100 million conspiracy to defraud Medicare that has netted a guilty plea from the recipient of the kickbacks, and, according to a person familiar with the case, remains ongoing.
... As the layers of activity that occurred in and around Americore are peeled back in a federal prosecution in Pennsylvania, a bankruptcy court in Kentucky, and tense witness interviews on Capitol Hill, a POLITICO investigation renders the most detailed picture to date of the ways in which Joe Biden's relatives leveraged his public stature to advance a private business venture. The investigation -- based on public records, court filings, dozens of interviews and hundreds of exclusively obtained internal documents -- reveals that Jim Biden's role at Americore was larger than previously reported:... The investigation also reveals that Joe Biden's name and inner circle were more involved with the company than has been understood: In addition to the accounts provided by former executives, investor materials described Jim Biden as an adviser to his older brother. And on top of Joe Biden's own previously reported encounter with the firm's CEO, at least three of Joe Biden's relatives did work with Americore. They include Jim Biden's wife, Sara, and his son, Jamie. The president's son, Hunter Biden also met with its CEO, and his personal doctor -- current White House physician Kevin O'Connor -- joined a meeting with Jim Biden and the president of a hospital being acquired by Americore, according to a former executive and emails obtained by

Just days ago, I wrote that Joe Biden was “inching toward a full betrayal of Israel.” Forget the inching. He’s now sprinting toward the final act. And he’s doing it at the United Nations, a forum that has been openly promoting antisemitism for decades. Biden’s latest salvo against the Jewish state is a new plan to have the UN Security Council support his demand for a cease-fire in Gaza. The resolution’s text, now being circulated for reactions, reportedly does not put a deadline on a halt in the fighting and also calls for Hamas to release all the hostages it holds. Both features are appealing, but ultimately serve only to mask the real danger of Biden’s gambit. . . . . . Meanwhile, the [so-called quote-unquote "president's"] plan to get the UN involved is not a symbolic gesture. A Security Council resolution carries binding power on all UN members, including Israel, which would be more isolated than ever if it didn’t comply. The nation and its leaders could face sanctions. All that would be terrible enough, but the worst is yet to come. Biden has made it clear that, as soon as this war ends, he aims to pave the way for the creation of a Palestinian state, one that would immediately join the UN. Crucial details are hazy or don’t exist. He and Blinken haven’t signed off on any substantive positions on borders, governance, security, funding for rebuilding or scores of other fundamental questions. All they know is that they want to be able to say they delivered on the long discussed two-state solution — even though it won’t be a solution to anything. Incredibly, they’ve been silent on Jerusalem. Both Palestinians and Jews consider it their capital, and the US recognizes Israel’s claim, thanks to the Trump administration. It tried to negotiate with the Palestinians but got nowhere. Biden now apparently intends to create a state despite rejection across Israeli society, and not even negotiate a unique ally’s security concerns. The sudden sense of urgency and the back-of-the-envelope approach reveals the president’s motivation. Because the birth of a Palestinian state would supposedly happen before the November election, it’s all about saving his political hide. . . . . . A premature cease-fire would guarantee another Hamas attack, and adding a new country would be one of the biggest and most dangerous appeasements by any American president. The net effect would be to spare many of the leaders who orchestrated the bestial slaughter of Oct. 7 and let them murder and rape again, this time under the cover of statehood. If there is anything certain in the Mideast, it is that Hamas will not stop trying to kill Jews until either it or Israel is eliminated. As one of its leaders said on Lebanese television of the October invasion, “We will do this again and again.” . . . And it’s not just Hamas that wants to destroy Israel. Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis — the list is long, and all would be encouraged by Biden fathering a new state from which to carry out attacks. Perhaps most troubling, most Palestinian civilians back the October massacre. The indoctrination of hate begins early, and numerous online and social-media videos over the years show Palestinian children expressing the hope of growing up to be an Islamic martyr and killing Jews. It is an example of why Netanyahu has insisted on, among other things, a credible plan to deradicalize Palestinian society. The education system, carried out mostly by United Nations personnel, is rife with antisemitism and praise of violence. And now Joe Biden wants to turn this swamp into a nation. Just to win an election.Michael Goodwin nails the crux of the biscuit right there. But, putting aside the mere naked Jew-hatred that is without any doubt the exclusive hallmark of the Democrat Party and anti-American Leftist movement to the exclusion of any other, do they really have to fear, for example Michigan flipping red this coming November, even if the residents of Dearbornistan just stay home (no, they're not going to all vote Trump)? Perhaps the fear is not so much losing the election but not necessarily having enough of a turnout to make whatever cheat you know is going to happen have the veneer of reality. Meanwhile, in the Democrat People's Republic of Kalifornia, this just fills all of our hearts with girlish glee:
In San Francisco, California’s Democrat officials are too busy gifting foreign nationals the ability to run the city’s elections to worry about their citizens floundering in crap, crime, and homelessness. On Wednesday, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to appoint Kelly Wong, a foreign national from Hong Kong, to the city’s Elections Commission. According to KQED, a local outlet, the commission is a “seven-member civilian body that oversees and creates policy for the city’s Department of Elections.” “There are always voices inside my head. Like, ‘You can’t do it. You’re not competent. You’re an immigrant. This is not your country.’ That’s not true,” Wong, a so-called “immigrant rights advocate,” said. “If I can do it, [other foreign nationals] can do it.” While ineligible to vote in elections, Wong told KQED that she aims to use her new position, as the outlet described, to “increase engagement among the city’s immigrant and non-English speaking communities” and “ensure that voter materials are translated in a way that people can understand.” To illustrate the latter, Wong noted how there’s currently no Cantonese or Mandarin equivalent to English terms such as “reparations.” According to Just the News, in 2020 San Francisco axed a citizenship requirement for serving on city boards and commissions. . . . . . San Francisco is not the only jurisdiction where Democrats have granted foreign nationals voting privileges. While federal law stipulates that only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections, Democrat-led cities in states such as Maryland and California have adopted measures in recent years permitting noncitizen voting in their municipal elections. Despite their state constitution forbidding such a practice, Rhode Island Democrats introduced legislation during last year’s legislative session aimed at granting such privileges to their noncitizen population. The bill never made it out of committee. Meanwhile, Washington, D.C. passed legislation in 2022 granting foreign nationals the ability to vote in the district’s local elections. House Republicans’ legislative efforts to revoke the law have been blocked by Senate Democrats.Of course, California historically has been on the cutting edge of trends that eventually become national. Meanwhile, as the corrupted justice system twists the rule of a just and stable law to persecute and destroy the candidacy of Donald Trump, with each new false charge and insane writ-of-attainder-like decision hurled against him, he continues to climb in the polls. We're at the point where both the powers that be cannot let Trump run, win or even serve while at the same time allow an obviously inept, mentally and physically incapacitated vegetable to do the same. The junta are cornered rats. And considering the near absolute power they wield, it makes them even more dangerous and unpredictable than ever.

Back to the black church. It's such a f*cking cliche. Democrat get caught in scandal, Democrat goes to black church to talk some black struggle (mmm-hm) nonsense.
She's quotin' some Scripture: "no weapon formed against you shall prosper." But she says "they" will "form weapons" against you, "even if everything you do is the right thing." Like doing Sweetdick -- doing Sweetick was doing the right thing. That video below, but Margot Cleveland has some breaking news:Margot ClevelandObviously, that's big. Terrence Bradley keeps invoking an absurdly broad claim of lawyer-client privilege to avoid answering questions about what he saw of his friend and business partner or heard through office gossip -- stuff that's outside of the protections for lawyer-client communications. The privilege extends to communications, not observations, and applies to what your client told you in furtherance of seeking legal advice, not what you heard from third parties or what he told you as a buddy. But Terrence Bradley keeps falsely invoking the privilege -- basically, he's perjuring himself too. But Ashleigh Merchant (lawyer for Trump "RICO co-conspirator" Michael Roman) says that he confirmed the affair in texts before being called as a witness. I listened to Megyn Kelly recap Friday's perjury festival, and here are the key points: Ashleigh Merchant read two texts to Bradley. In one, she asks him if he knows anyone else who can confirm that the affair began before 2022. He says "no one who would be willing to burn that bridge" with Fani Willis, or words to that effect. She also sent him a file containing the claim she was going to file in court, and asked him for comment on them. The claims included, of course, the allegation that the affair began before Fani Willis hired her boytoy as prosecutor. Bradley responded: "Looks good," thereby confirming all of her allegations were true, in his knowledge. Bradley agreed that he sent those texts -- despite having falsely testified earlier that he never texted with Ashleigh Merchant directly. Another case of perjury. Otherwise, he falsely claimed "lawyer-client privilege" to all questions. Now this is interesting: Fani Willis' team was so determined to destroy Bradley's credibility as a witness that the cross-examined him viciously, asking him why he had been forced out of the Law Partnership of Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Lance Clamhammer, and Rex DeQuim. The reason for his dismissal, Fani Willis' lawyers (well, the lawyers for the Fulton County DA's office), was that Bradley had been accused by two different women of sexual misconduct. Whether that's true or not, Fani Willis was attempting to nuke his credibility from space. She knows damn well that he knows the real date the affair began, and she knows it may come out, so she's attempting to paint him a sexual assailant. But this is the cool part: Terrence Bradley had previously been asked why he left the firm of Sweetdick, Clamhammer, and DeQuim, and had again invoked "attorney-client privilege" to avoid answering. But when Fani Willis' own team brought up the real reason for the dismissal, the judge, who had previously blocked Bradley's testimony from coming in, accepting, provisionally, his expansive claims of privilege, then said, in so many words, "Whoa, hold up, that is obviously not privileged information, and the fact that you define 'attorney client-privilege' to essentially mean 'I don't answer any question I don't want to answer' gives me serious pause about accepting all of your previous claims of privilege, and I'm going to reevaluate my ruling on all of your privilege claims with this new knowledge that you are baselessly invoking privilege to deny the court information." So Fani's team, in its desperate attempt to nuke this guy's credibility, opened the door to a close examination of his claims of privilege on all questions. Below, the sausage-shaped Fani Willis accepts the AVN Award for Best Gunt. I actually don't know what the award was for. It was for Some Bullshit. Some family gave her the award for perseverance in the face of people telling the truth about you or some bullshit.
@ProfMJCleveland [Three Fire Emojis] Ashleigh Merchant confirmed to me: "Yes, I spoke directly on a number of occasions with Bradley. He reviewed my pleadings for accuracy before I filed them. He unequivocally told me the personal & romantic relationship began prior to Wade receiving the contract as a special prosecutor on this case."

In the wake of the massive judgment against Donald Trump, many in New York are celebrating the prospect that the former president could be forced to sell off his property just to appeal the $355 million judgment against him. While Trump has good grounds to object to this excessive fine, he still has to come up with close to a half billion dollars just to make his arguments to the New York Court of Appeals. In order to file an appeal, the courts require a deposit for the full amount of the damages or a bond covering the full amount. Even with escrow options, the call for cash or collateral can be enough to put some executives in a fetal position. It can be challenging enough for many companies drained from years of litigation. For Trump, the demand for $355 million plus about $100 million in interest could force a fire sale on properties to pony up just the deposit.Engoron has also decreed that Trump is not allowed to "do business" in New York, which includes borrowing from his previous lenders to pay the money for this bond. In other words, Engoron has both levied an excessive fine against Trump, while simultaneously forbidding him from obtaining enough in loans to pay for the bond to protest the excessive fine.
Many of us have been critical of the ruling of Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron who imposed the astronomical fine despite finding that Trump's "victims" not only did not lose a single dollar but made handsome profits. Indeed, these banks testified that they wanted to continue to do business with Trump as a "whale" client, but Engoron is now barring them from doing so.
Turley also writes that New York has essentially declared war on all real estate developers in New York.
The fine is $355 million, but he slapped on an extra, and very round figure of $100 million, for "interest." You can tell he really ran the interest calculations to the seventh decimal by how incredibly round the number came out.
Oscar Wilde wrote that "moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." Justice Arthur Engoron took that line to heart with his absurd imposition of $455 million in fines and interest against Donald Trump and his corporation.
And who would want to loan Trump money to cover the bond? Anyone who loans Trump money would be the next to be prosecuted by "Tish" James for non-crimes. This has created fear in the financial community that the everyday business practice of evaluating all of your properties at the highest possible level -- why would you want to admit your properties are worth less than some might be willing to pay for them? -- now makes them all potentially liable for half-billion dollar criminal fines.
It succeeded wonderfully with New Yorkers, who celebrated the verdict like a popular public execution. It also worked wonderfully to make it difficult to appeal. Much of the criticism of the decision focused on the unprecedented use of the law and the excessive size of the fine. The New York statute has been on the books for decades and has always been something of an anomaly in not requiring an actual victim or loss to justify disgorgement or fines. Even the New York Times agreed that it could not find a single case in history where this statute was used against an individual or a company that did not commit a criminal offense, go bankrupt, or leave financial victims. Engoron then combined that unprecedented application with an equally extraordinary penalty, which is greater than the gross national product of some countries. ... There is also an added inequity to Engoron's decision. Under New York law, Trump cannot appeal this ruling without depositing the full amount, including interest, in a court account. Even for Trump, $455 million is hard to come by. Likewise, a bond would require a company to guarantee payment for a defendant who has been barred from doing business in New York and is facing the need to liquidate much of his portfolio. Nothing succeeds like excess for judges like Engoron. By imposing this astronomical figure, he can make it difficult or impossible for a defendant to appeal, absent declaring bankruptcy or selling off assets at distress prices.
Ah, but don't worry about New York going after all the other big businessmen who routinely evaluate their properties at the outer limits of plausibility -- Kathy Hochul admits that this is a political prosecution directed at one single political enemy and will never be used against anyone else.
The combination of the draconian fine and the threshold deposit for appeal has produced a shudder throughout the New York business community. The city is already experiencing an exodus of businesses and individuals from the top tax brackets. Rising crime, taxes, and eat-the-rich politics have made New York a hostile environment for businesses. At a time with rising costs from undocumented migrants, even Mayor Eric Adams is alarmed about the loss of his high earners.
The HillThe Hill:
@thehill Kathy Hochul tells NY businesses not to fear about Trump verdict: "Nothing to worry about"
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) addressed New York business owners in a new interview and told them there was "nothing to worry about" after former President Trump was hit with a $355 million fine and a ban on conducting business in New York for three years. Hochul joined John Catsimatidis on 'The Cats Roundtable' on WABC 770 AM, where she was asked if other New York businesspeople should be worried that if 'they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.' 'I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they're very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,' Hochul responded.

Hochul admits that this application of the law will not be applied to anyone except Trump. Therefore, this is an unconstitutional selective prosecution of a political enemy.
It must be overturned. Note that Hochul is reassuring big businessmen in New York taking loans against their assets that she knows "everybody does it" -- evaluates their properties at highest potential value -- but that they shouldn't worry, they won't be prosecuted for it. But Engoron specifically dismisses Trump's defense that everybody does it, that banks of course know that businessmen evaluate their properties at maximum possible value, and says that if "everybody does it," that just demonstrates the need for New York to prosecute EVERYBODY to stop the "fraud."

NYT: Biden Shook His Fist At Us For Reporting On His Advanced Age
Sorry for another Biden Old post after the last one.
Hot Air, quoting garbage tier propaganda mill Politico:The New York Times Publisher A.G. Sulzberger said Monday that the White House is "extremely upset" about its coverage on President Joe Biden's age but the newspaper will "continue to report fully and fairly."I wouldn't say you reported on these issues "extensively." You covered them up until the public no longer believed your lies, at which point you very belatedly offered a Modified Limited Hangout version of the truth. It's a full court press in the liberal media, driving a drumbeat of "Dump Brandon."
Advertisement "We are going to continue to report fully and fairly, not just on Donald Trump but also on President Joe Biden," Sulzberger said in an interview with The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. "He is a historically unpopular incumbent and the oldest man to ever hold this office. We've reported on both of those realities extensively, and the White House has been extremely upset about it."M.b>
Mike Miller at RedState covers Nate Silver's "truth bombs" for his fellow bloodthirsty authoritarians on the left:
If you're someone who would rather not see Trump re-elected again or who cares about the election for other reasons, it's time to face the facts. You need to adjust to the new reality and not be mired in anchoring bias by your previous impression of the race.He lists some reasons to doubt that Biden is capable of winning:
His third point is the public perception of Biden has shifted strongly -- maybe even violently -- about Biden's mental fitness. He notes that Biden refused to take advantage of the traditional Super Bowl powder puff interview (for liberal Democrat presidents, I mean), his caregivers apparently deciding that he wasn't up to such an easy task:
First, the president's approval ratings do have some meaningful predictive power at this stage as compared with a year ago. And with the general election matchup all but locked in, Biden's head-to-head polls against Trump provide some meaningful signal, too. So it's no longer safe to ignore that Biden has consistently trailed Trump in polls both nationally and (more importantly) in swing states. Or that Biden's approval rating is just 39 percent and shows no signs of improvement, well below the threshold that would ordinarily make a president a favorite for re-election. Second, to borrow the poker term, Biden no longer has as many "outs" -- meaning, contingencies that could improve his situation: In the Republican nomination process, Trump is probably going to win all 50 states; he hasn't gotten bruised up or exposed new fissures within the GOP base. Trump's various criminal trials are (perhaps predictably) facing delays and the Georgia one is a mess, fairly or not, because of an alleged improper romantic relationship between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and another member of the prosecution team. Yes, Democrats still have some upside if Trump is eventually convicted of something. But so far Trump's favorability ratings have only improved. And the economy? Well, it has gotten better and both consumer and investor moods have turned more optimistic. I've argued there was never really a gap between economic reality and economic perception in the first place, but if there was, it's pretty much gone now. And yet Biden's standing has not improved. On balance, that ought to be a concerning fact for the White House. It implies that Biden's poor position is not the result of something fixable (the economy) but rather something that very much isn't -- the fact that he's 81 and getting older every day.
John Sexton at Hot Air reports on leftwing blunderkind Ezra Klein reaching the same conclusion -- and also basing his argument on Joe Biden's self-assessment that he is too cognitively deteriorated to stand up to a puffball interview with CBS leftwing propagandist Gayle King. Klein points out that while Biden's Praetorian claims he's able to be president -- supposedly -- we have strong evidence he's not capable of running for president. He's simply not traveling to swing states, not giving speeches, and not sitting for powder puff Super Bowl interviews with CBS's biggest Democrat boosters.
Biden also declined to do a Super Bowl interview that might have allayed public concerns -- something that President Obama did all eight years in office, Trump did three times, and Biden did in 2021. The White House skipped the interview last year when the Super Bowl was carried by Fox, part of a general pattern of Biden avoiding Fox News. But with the game on CBS this year, there were no such excuses. ...
It is a reason for Democrats to be the adults in the room and acknowledge that someone who can't sit through a Super Bowl interview isn't someone the public can trust to have the physical and mental stamina to handle an international crisis, terrorist attack, or some other unforeseen threat when he'll be in his mid-80s.
More at the link. Klein is pushing for an open convention, in which delegates choose which candidate to support at the convention itself. This strategy, he admits, is not without big, delicious risks:
This is the question Democrats keep wanting to answer, the question the Biden administration keeps pretending only to hear: Can Biden do the job of president? But that is not the question of the 2024 campaign. The insistence that Biden is capable of being president is being used to shut down discussion of whether he's capable of running for president... I was stunned when his team declined a Super Bowl interview. Biden is not up by 12 points. He can't coast to victory here. He is losing. He is behind in most polls. He is behind, despite everything people already know about Donald Trump. He needs to make up ground. If he does not make up ground, Trump wins. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest audiences you will ever have. And you just skip it? You just say no?...
Blogging Nirvana.
The last open convention Democrats had was 1968, a disaster of a convention where the Democratic Party split between pro- and anti-Vietnam War factions, where there was violence in the streets, where Democrats lost the election.
How an Open Convention works (I think): If Biden withdraws from the race -- or is otherwise incapacitated -- all the delegates he has accumulated are released from supporting him, and can support any other candidate (I think). So this all depends on Biden withdrawing. The DNC "superdelegates"* are unbound and can always support who ever they want. I think they make up like 25% of the delegates (something like that, anyway). They can't elect a candidate themselves, but they could embarrass Biden by saying they will support someone else at the convention, thus pressuring him to withdraw. * DNC "superdelegates" -- party hacks and associates of the Clintons not yet murdered by them

I guess a white man finally has positioned Kamala Harris for success-ion.
Robert Spencer sees this as just more evidence that the Democrat-Media Complex is now in full Dump Brandon mode.CNN published a lengthy exposition on Sunday that could have been entitled "Kamala to the Rescue," for that's what it was all about; the far-left propaganda organ was trying to sell us on the idea that Harris, after showing herself to be abjectly incapable of doing anything beyond spouting preposterous word salads for as long as Old Joe has been showing off his cognitive decline, is now taking charge, calming the jittery rank-and-file apparatchiks and smoothing the Democrats' pathway to inevitable victory in November. Nary a cackle was mentioned in the entire two-thousand-word piece. "More than two dozen sources" -- wow! Is that like 51 top intelligence professionals? -- "tell CNN that Harris has been gathering information to help her penetrate what she sometimes refers to as the 'bubble' of Biden campaign thinking, telling people she's aiming to use that intelligence to push for changes in strategy and tactics that she hopes will put the ticket in better shape to win."If Biden won't budge, Kamala may be the one to call for the 25th Amendment ejection from office. That's a pretty unfounded speculation but what if Biden is now so mentally incompetent he doesn't even know he's mentally incompetent? Meanwhile, the Democrat-Media Complex is using Retard Jiu-Jitsu to claim that Trump is rilly the one in cognitive decline, racists.
It's begun. The left is trying to turn the tables and declare that it is Donald Trump who is in cognitive decline. If it weren't so sad and desperate, it would be funny. A professor at the University of British Columbia claims to have assessed the cognitive functioning of both Biden and Trump. He warns that Trump's mental decline is "more apparent" than Biden's but Biden's "cognitive failure" could be disastrous in a second term.
Advertisement Professor Paul Quirk is described as a politics professor. He's not a mental health expert or a psychologist. He teaches politics. Yet, he claims to have assessed the situation of the presumed frontrunners in the 2024 presidential election. He is an American citizen, having graduated from Harvard and taught at U.S. universities before he went to Canada. The professor claims that Trump's decline is more obvious because of his 'slurred speech and gross, repeated errors.' That's a fairly clueless observation, IMHO. Biden is known for his inability to speak without slurring and mumbling and the non-stop lies. Is "repeated errors" code for lies? If so, this guy is just clutching for straws. He's Canadian, so take his hot takes for what they are, just another progressive worried that Trump may be on his way back into the White House.

“My positions can be summarized in the following two sentences,” said Netanyahu, “Israel categorically rejects international dictates regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians. Such an arrangement will be reached only through direct negotiations between the parties, without preconditions.” In addition, said the prime minister, “Israel will continue to oppose the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Such recognition in the wake of the October 7 massacre would give a huge reward to unprecedented terrorism and prevent any future peace settlement.”
That's how a leader protects his country. And this is how a "leader" betrays an ally. US urges Israel to drop plans for Rafah ground offensive
The US has proposed a UN security council resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire and for Israel not to go ahead with a planned offensive on Rafah in southern Gaza. The text marks the first time the US has explicitly backed a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict, though it adds that the temporary truce should be begun “as soon as practicable”, leaving some room for manoeuvre by the Israeli military. The text is being offered by the Biden administration as an alternative to an Algerian resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire that is due to be debated on Tuesday. The US appeal over Rafah, where about half of Gaza’s 2.3 million population have sought refuge, echoes comments made by Joe Biden in recent days. But the significance of the resolution is as a signal that Washington is willing to go through the UN to put pressure on Israel and not rely solely on bilateral messages.
Except...the UN is a collection of virulently anti-Israel ideologues, whose masturbatory fantasies of the destruction of the Jewish state are always front-and-center. The United States was almost always there to stifle those impulses, but now? We have an administration that is subservient to every hard-left or Islamic pressure group that can control more than a few votes, and they want Israel destroyed. So the incontinent idiot will send his UN representative to Turtle Bay to undercut a loyal ally in the midst of an existential battle, all the while being very careful not to upset his favorite lunatic Islamists in Tehran. The Mad Mullahs have been directing attacks against the West and our troops from the safety of their luxurious villas, and those midwits in Washington are covering for them. How else does one explain the continued existence of the Iranian spy ship Behshad, that has been directing the attacks on shipping? If the feckless Biden/Obama junta can't protect our sea lanes, can't manage to be loyal to our ally in the region, supports a rabid, civilization-destroying regime in Iran, and OH! don't forget about allowing an invasion across our southern border and whoring for Ukraine/graft, then what exactly are they doing? Protecting and acquiring power and wealth. Because that is what they do, to the exclusion of all else, and their calculation is that they will get more votes and more graft by betraying Israel than they would get supporting her fight against militant Islam. The only things that matter are the votes of their unhinged supporters and the flow of money. They matter more than our economy...they matter more than our standing in the world...they matter more than our culture...they matter more than our continued existence as a constitutional republic...they matter more than our God-given natural rights as a free people. *Perhaps an apology is in order to the midwits of the world. The D.C. elites are trending down to dimwits...
