Evening and morning to all the satellites in space and beyond! How's the Great Red Spot on Jupiter this fine day?
Yesterday I mentioned that I'd banged up a tire on the Buick against a curb. A visit to a tire shop I've used many times over the years confirmed the worst: The wheel, thank heaven, is fine, but the tire's sidewall is toast. As the manager put it, any blow hard enough to break the bead and let the air out of the tire would have carved up the wheel. So I've ordered a new Continental and they'll put it on this afternoon. Price was competitive w/ Tire Rack, and no shipping. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at February 21, 2024 04:07 AM (omVj0) 4

Asus' Zenfone was one of the last remaining reasonably-sized phones, though with a 5.9" screen not actually small. So Asus is making it bigger.

Fucking science!
That groundbreaking study that led the UK NHS to declare that breastmilk expressed by men pumped full of hormones is exactly the same as female breastmilk and 100% safe was from a study of 1 patient, there was no consent or consideration given to the baby experimented on, and the actual birth mother was breastfeeding at the same time, and all milk tested by the "scientists" was supplied from the home, not expressed by the man in the lab. It's repulsive to even try to briefly think about the level of perversion and sexual abuse involved with gay men wanting to give babies whatever it is that they squeeze out of their chests.

I've seen this kind of scam too many times. Some of my supposedly intelligent clients have been victims. I had my mom put me on her speaker phone and yelled at him "DAD YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED!" several times until I got his attention. Soon, "Our climate models were wrong. Climate change is way worse than we imagined! Now the science is really settled!"
Per state-of-the-art climate models, specific humidity (SH) should increase as a consequence of CO2-induced global warming. But 40 years of observations (1980-) show no increasing SH trend over arid/semi-arid regions. Per state-of-the-art climate models, relative humidity (RH) should decline slightly as a consequence of CO2-induced global warming. But 40 years of observations (1980-) show not a slight declining trend, but a declining trend that is “about an order of magnitude more than the models on average.” In other words, the climate models are wrong by a factor of 10. Saint of the Day
St. Peter Damian (1007-1072 A.D.) was born in Ravenna, Italy, the youngest of a large poor family. His mother initially refused to nurse him due to the strain he would put on the family. He was later orphaned and suffered from extreme poverty. One brother adopted him, but neglected him and treated him like a slave. Another brother, a priest, took him in and provided for his education. Peter excelled in his studies and in religious piety. Bothered by the distractions of university life, at twenty-eight he left his position to become a Benedictine monk and to lead a life of fervent prayer and self-mortification. He lived during a time of great corruption in the Church, advocating for reform and greater discipline in religious life. He was an influential figure, a friend and adviser to both popes and emperors, and was made a bishop and cardinal. Due to his academic prowess and prolific theological writings, St. Peter Damian was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1823. His feast day is February 21. Holy shit. They can't possibly predict the resulting reaction given variations in temperatures in the water column, dispersion due to currents and other variables. What are they gonna do with all the dead sea life that results if and how are they gonna quantify and determine if they're 'successful'? Curious about foreign real estate investing, looked at realtor.com. Very interesting.
"China continued to serve as the top country of origin among foreign buyers, and Chinese buyers have the highest median purchase price of $723,200. Chinese buyers largely targeted the U.S.’s priciest areas in California and New York." Assume such buyers are accustomed to paying bribes and making coerced 'donations'; even so, that potential of a political assault on their assets by states and facing basically confiscation. The entire reason they're here with their cash is because the US is at least perceived as a free market and at least mostly free of the kind of political steering found pretty much everywhere else. The Woke Mob is so capricious, any Chinese I would think would take one look, see The Red Guard rising from the grave, and at least think twice before investing in such places. At the end of the fiscal year 2022, 53 cities did not have enough money to pay all of their bills. This means that to claim their budgets were balanced—as is required by law in the 75 cities—elected officials have not included the actual costs of the government in their budget calculations and have pushed costs onto future taxpayers.
How much EACH taxpayer owes: New York City( -$61,800), followed by Chicago (-$42,900), Honolulu (-$24,200), Philadelphia (-$20,400), Portland (-$20,100), New Orleans (-$18,200), Miami (-$15,500), Milwaukee (-$15,300), Baltimore (-$14,100), and Pittsburgh (-$13,000). What are your plans for the civilians in rafah? Where are they going to go?
We are preparing areas north of the city and are going to provide them safe passage. There you have it. There are still big questions to be answered like what is israel's plan and where will they go. -- "We are going to do it while providing safe passage for the civilian population so they can leave," Netanyahu said. Asked by host Jonathan Karl where 1.4 million Palestinians are supposed to go, he responded: "The areas that we have cleared north of Rafah, there are plenty of areas there, but we are working out a detailed plan to do so." But there's as yet no clear evidence of a massive evacuation of civilians from Rafah, and in reality the big question remains: where would they go?
