I say this with love: Democrats are too dependent on friendly treatment from the moderators.

@AnnCoulter
CONGRATS, CBS NEWS! You managed to find moderators even more unfair than the last two. I didn't think it was humanly possible.
Hugh Hewitt
@hughhewitt Abortion has now taken a third of a debate after Iran fired 180+ missiles at Iran. Not one question on China, DOD, Ukraine. It’s a remarkable abdication by legacy media and the last time GOP should ever agree to left wing media moderating anything.

It's on CBS, "moderated" by hardcore leftwing partisans Norah O'Donnell and the even worse Margaret Brennan. It shows the media's outright contempt for the center-right that they would put Margaret Brennan forward as a "moderator."
If you have cut the cord, the debate will be on Pluto TV, because Pluto is some kind of CBS entity. They have CBS news channels in their menu. CBS is claiming that it is up to Vance and Walz to "fact-check" each other, but I trust Maggs Brennan will pop off here and there. And the choice of topics will be all about childless cat ladies and endless abortions and pumpkin spice lattes and growing old alone and insisting you made all the right life choices as you open your second box of white wine and open the Teen Vogue website to take a Which Emily In Paris Character Are You? quiz. It starts at 9pm Eastern. I will join you in watching this horror show for as long as I can stomach it. At some point, one must look out for one's blood pressure. In unrelated news, I finished Fellowship of the Ring this weekend, and then powered through the first half (the Rohan/Fangorn half) of the Two Towers. Keep wanting to restart it, but I remember the Frodo-Sam-Gollum chapters being very repetitive. Still, it's only 150 pages. I'm not a baby. (I finished Hound of the Baskervilles! Eventually!)Update: The "Truth Tellers" Lied. Again. Dr. Ben Braddock
@GraduatedBen Within 48 hours of the earthquake that struck Haiti in 2011, the 82nd Airborne had arrived from Fort Bragg, NC to Port-au-Prince to render aid. It's been 135 hours and the DOD still haven't given dual status command for NC (they have for FL), still haven't sent the aerial assets and high-water vehicles from Fort Bragg that FEMA requested, the 81st is off on a training exercise, and the men from various units trying to get home to help their families in the disaster zone are being denied leave. It is a complete shame and disgrace. Heads should roll.
We had to burn the Constitution to save it:

The Freedom Party secured the first far-right national parliamentary election victory in post-World War II Austria on Sunday, finishing ahead of the governing conservatives after tapping into anxieties about immigration, inflation, Ukraine and other issues. But its chances of governing were unclear. Preliminary official results showed the Freedom Party finishing first with 29.2% of the vote and Chancellor Karl Nehammer's Austrian People's Party was second with 26.5%. The center-left Social Democrats were in third place with 21%. The outgoing government -- a coalition of Nehammer's party and the environmentalist Greens -- lost its majority in the lower house of parliament. Herbert Kickl, a former interior minister and longtime campaign strategist who has led the Freedom Party since 2021, wants to be chancellor. And what makes them "far-right"? What is their issue profile? Do they demand an end to civil rights? Pogroms against the Jews? Aggressive militarization? No. They are motivated by government-caused inflation, the War in Urkaine, the lockdowns, and "worries about migration."
So that's what makes someone "far-right," huh? I'll be sure to suggest this for political advertisements. The "Far Right" party supports a policy of "remigration" -- a nice way to say "send them back."
The far right has benefited from frustration over high inflation, the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic. It has also built on worries about migration.
Tater, CNN's shameless spinner, is putting a nice spin on CNN's demand for $3.99 a month to read its "news," saying that this is a small price to play to "foot the bill for CNN's journalism."
CNN, one of the most popular news websites in the world, is starting to ask some of its visitors to pay $3.99 a month for access. On Tuesday, the news organization is laying the first bricks in a so-called paywall that should, over time, help foot the bill for CNN's journalism around the world. "Starting today, we are asking users in the United States to pay a small recurring fee for unlimited access to CNN.com's world-class articles," Alex MacCallum, CNN's executive vice president of digital products and services, wrote in an internal memo outlining the plan. The average visitor to CNN's website, who may only read a few articles a month, will not be prompted to pay at this time. "Only after users consume a certain number of free articles will they be prompted to subscribe," MacCallum explained. "In addition to unlimited access to CNN.com's articles, subscribers will receive benefits like exclusive election features, original documentaries, a curated daily selection of our most distinctive journalism, and fewer digital ads."How about, First You Will Blow Me? Trump put out a statement on the chaos created by the San Francisco Town Pump and the decrepit vegetable Joe Biden:
"The World is on fire and spiraling out of control. We have no leadership, no one running the Country. We have a non-existent President in Joe Biden, and a completely absent Vice President, Kamala Harris, who is too busy fundraising in San Francisco, a City which she and Gavin Newscum totally destroyed, and staging fake photo ops. No one is in charge and it's not even clear who is more confused: Biden or Kamala. Neither has any idea what is even going on. When I was President, Iran was in total check. They were starved for cash, fully contained, and desperate to make a deal. Kamala flooded them with American cash and, ever since, they've been exporting terror all over, and unraveling the Middle East. Under 'President Trump,' we had NO WAR in the Middle East, NO WAR in Europe, and Harmony in Asia, No Inflation, No Afghanistan Catastrophe. Instead, we had PEACE. Now, War or the threat of War, is raging everywhere, and the two Incompetents running this Country are leading us to the brink of World War III. You wouldn't trust Joe or Kamala to run a lemonade stand, let alone lead the Free World. It is no surprise that Iran desperately wants Kamala Harris to be President, because they know as long as she is in power, they can take advantage of America. That is why they have tried to target me. If I was in charge, October 7th never happens, Russia/Ukraine never happens, Afghanistan Botched Withdrawal never happens, and Inflation never happens. If I win, we will have peace in the World again. If Kamala gets 4 more years, the World goes up in smoke."Biden stumbled and slurred his way through his usual incoherent scripted remarks. Notice, once again, the man is utterly incapable of pronouncing consonant clusters, and slurs "national," for example, as "nashal." "Constant contact" becomes "consant contact." This is the man that Kamala Harris assured us was completely in command. Behold, your Master of Foreign Policy. From July, just before the Pelosi-Obama Coup, when Biden was forced out of office, Biden aide Andrew Bates pronounced this about Biden:
Andrew BatesYes that's what we were all thinking, Andi with a little heart over the i.
@AndrewJBates46 To answer the question on everyone's minds: No, Joe Biden does not have a doctorate in foreign affairs. He's just that fucking good.
I love that they've gone from wetting themselves over Trump's profanity to saying the f-word every other sentence to show their "authenticity" and "passion" to the workin' man.

The Deep State accused Trump of being a Russian agent based only on him saying what Obama and Hillary Clinton said -- he wanted better relations with Russia.
The Democrats have long been a patron party of the Soviet Union, and the Deep State is comfortable with the Democrat-Media Party having strong communist sympathies. But a Republican wanting an end to the Cold War? That's disloyal! Meanwhile, Tim Walz visted China 30 times (by his own admission), talked to his fellow National Guardsmen about the wonders of China's communist system, and even scheduled his marriage on the anniversary of the Tienanmen Square massacre. No whispers from the Deep State about his obvious Chinese communist party sympathies. But a whistleblower says the DHS is hiding secret memos about China's Dad.House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer on Monday subpoenaed the Department of Homeland Security seeking records related to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's China connections after whistleblowers raised concerns. Comer says his committee learned from the whistleblowers there is "serious concern" among DHS personnel "regarding a longstanding connection between the CCP and Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz," according to the subpoena cover letter sent Monday. ... Comer's committee has led a probe into the China's efforts to infiltrate the United States, finding one method favored by the Communist Party is influencing subnational leaders, which include officials like state governors and legislators. "The Committee's investigation of the CCP -- begun long before Governor Walz was elevated to be the vice-presidential candidate for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris -- seeks to understand the extent of the CCP's infiltration and influence campaign and to identify legislative reforms to combat CCP political warfare targeting prominent Americans for elite capture," Comer wrote. "In particular, if a state governor and major political party's nominee for Vice President of the United States has been a witting or unwitting participant in the CCP's efforts to weaken our nation, this would strongly suggest that there are alarming weaknesses in the federal government's effort to defend the United States from the CCP's political warfare that must be urgently addressed," he continued.More dirty tricks from the Deep State: Veteran's Administration employees went searching through JD Vance's records. Supposedly they also illegally accessed Tim Walz's records, but I don't believe it. This is always something that protected Democrat government workers do. Republicans know they'll be fired and probably imprisoned. Democrat government workers know they will be rewarded.
According to the letter, the Oversight Committee learned of two sources that contain information about Walz's connections to China, which first garnered public scrutiny when he was picked as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate. ... According to the whistleblowers, DHS personnel memorialized concerns about Walz's connections in a Microsoft Teams group chat and several intelligence reports. "Specifically, through whistleblower disclosures, the Committee has learned of a non-classified, Microsoft Teams group chat among DHS employees -- titled 'NST NFT Bi-Weekly Sync' -- that contains information about Governor Walz that is relevant to the Committee's investigation," Comer wrote. "The Committee has also learned that further relevant information regarding Governor Walz has been memorialized in both classified and unclassified documents in the control of DHS."
Department of Veterans Affairs employees have illicitly accessed the medical records both major parties' vice presidential nominees, the agency confirmed to both campaigns. An investigation is ongoing. At least 12 agency employees have improperly accessed the records of Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., according the Washington Post. Both men are veterans of the armed services, with Vance serving in the Marines and Walz in the National Guard. "We take the privacy of the Veterans we serve very seriously and have strict policies in place to protect their records," VA press secretary Terrence Hayes told the outlet. "Any attempt to improperly access Veteran records by VA personnel is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."Prediction: The Harris-Biden "Justice" Department is currently prosecuting the whistleblower at the Texas Children's Hospital for revealing that they're performing illegal sex operations on children. But the Harris-Biden "Justice" Department will not prosecute anyone who riffled through Vance's medical records. If anyone really did a "both sides" and accessed Walz's records -- that might warrant a prosecution by these corrupt gangsters. Finally: the "51 former intelligence officers" who rigged the 2020 election with disinformation about Hunter Biden's laptop have now signed another "letter" endorsing the communist Kamala Harris and her literal Chinese agent groomer running mate.
A coterie of former civilian national security officials and military leaders signed on to an open letter last week endorsing Kamala Harris for president, eliciting fresh criticism for the industry that has waded into politics in recent years against Donald Trump and reminiscent of the 11th-hour Hunter Biden laptop letter.
... The echoes of prominent Democratic talking points in the open endorsement letter, for example about GOP nominee Donald Trump being a threat to the democratic process, have stirred criticism from other former national security officials who say their contribution to the election reeks of the same political interference from the community in the Hunter Biden laptop saga and serves to try and undercut Harris' real electoral vulnerabilities. Fred Fleitz, former chief of staff to Trump National Security Council, called the letter "preposterous" in an article posted by American Greatness, a journal dedicated to reinvigorated the conservative movement. "[The] letter makes several ridiculously false accusations, such as accusing Trump of 'heaping praise' on Hezbollah and 'excoriating' Israel," Fleitz wrote. "And, of course, the letter includes the usual Democratic talking points about Trump being an impulsive leader who threatens democracy." Fleitz says, in reality, the letter is designed for one thing only, to counter one of Harris' most "significant vulnerabilities," the growing global instability presided over the Biden Administration. ... Fleitz said the new letter was reminiscent of the effort by an overlapping group of former national security officials to discredit reporting about the Hunter Biden laptop. They labeled the leak of the laptop hard drive as bearing the hallmarks of Russian information operation and insinuated that reporting derived from its contents could not be trusted. "Many Americans were outraged over this letter because it represented former intelligence officers, several with high-paid government contracts, misusing their profession to meddle in a U.S. presidential election and mislead the American public," Fleitz wrote. It appears that several of the officials who signed on to the laptop letter remained undeterred about their assessment being proven inaccurate. Of the hundreds of officials who signed the new letter endorsing Harris, nine former officials were also signatories of that prior effort to discredit the Biden laptop. They include former Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper; former CIA Director Michael V. Hayden; former CIA Director Leon E. Panetta; former CIA Director John Brennan; former Acting CIA Director John E. McLaughlin; former CIA chief of staff Laurence M. Pfeiffer; former Department of Defense chief of staff Jeremy Bash; CIA chief of station John Sipher; and former National Intelligence Council Chair Gregory Frye Treverton. Several of the intelligence officials who signed the letter later testified to Congress as part of an investigation into the incident. Their interviews made clear the letter ers were motivated by primarily politics while freely admitting they had no hard evidence for the claims, Just the News previously reported.

M'dudes, I can only vote for him so hard.
Donald Trump has long pledged to deport millions of people, but he's bringing more specifics to his current bid for the White House: invoking wartime powers, relying on like-minded governors and using the military. Trump's record as president shows a vast gulf between his ambitions and the legal, fiscal and political realities of mass deportations of people in the United States illegally -- 11 million in January 2022, by the Homeland Security Department's latest estimate. Former President Barack Obama carried out 432,000 deportations in 2013, the highest annual total since records were kept. Reporting from San Diego, Elliot Spagat of The Associated Press learned that deportations under Trump never topped 350,000. But he and his chief immigration policy architect, Stephen Miller, have offered clues in interviews and rallies of taking a different approach if they are returned to power in November. They could benefit from lessons learned during their of four years in office and, potentially, from more Trump-appointed judges. "What Trump seems to be contemplating is potentially lawful," said Joseph Nunn, counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University's School of Law. "There might not be a lot of legal barriers. It is going to be logistically extraordinarily complicated and difficult. The military is not going to like doing it and they are going to drag their feet as much as they can, but it is possible, so it should be taken seriously."You've convinced me, you've convinced me, AP! Ease up, Ripley. You're just grinding metal.
The Trump campaign, asked how his pledge would be carried out, said Trump would begin the largest deportation program in U.S. history, without elaborating in detail. Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman, said Trump "would marshal every federal and state power necessary to institute the largest deportation operation of illegal criminals, drug dealers, and human traffickers."
Trump has said he would invoke the Alien Enemies Act, a 1798 law that allows the president to deport any noncitizen from a country that the U.S. is at war with. Texas Gov, Greg Abbott has advanced a theory that illegal immigration amounts to an invasion to justify state enforcement measures, so far without success, but legal scholars say judges may be reluctant to second-guess what a president considers a foreign aggression. The sweeping Alien Enemies Act authority may sidestep a law that bans the military from civilian law enforcement. Trump has said he would focus on deploying the National Guard, whose troops can be activated on orders of a governor. Miller says troops under sympathetic Republican governors would send troops to nearby states that refuse to participate. "The Alabama National Guard is going to arrest illegal aliens in Alabama and the Virginia National Guard in Virginia. And if you're going to go into an unfriendly state like Maryland, well, there would just be Virginia doing the arrest in Maryland, right, very close, very nearby," Miller said last year on "The Charlie Kirk Show."

Afternoon, everyone. How about a happy story for once?
Seth Meyers has been forced to fire his (lame) band to save money.LOL. Not so many people now. Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show" will no longer produce "shows" on Friday, instead running repeats, as they shift to a four-day-a-week schedule so that they can slash salaries.
The 8G Band will be playing its last tunes on Late Night With Seth Meyers this summer. NBC-imposed budget cuts to the show mean that the house band -- keyboard player Eli Janney, guitarist Seth Jabour and bassist Syd Butler -- will be going away when Late Night begins its new season in the fall. The trio have been part of the show since its debut in 2014; Fred Armisen was the bandleader for much of that time but has been more of a guest performer in the past few years. "Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, the showrunner, brought us in in person to talk about it. They expressed their regret and frustration about it," Janney said in an interview with Vulture. "They had been trying to work it out for months, but in the end NBC was adamant about where they wanted the budget to go. It's not just the band; there's a whole crew that works with the band, so there's a lot of people employed."
How Late Night TV Is Downsizing As 'The Tonight Show' cuts to a four-day weekly schedule, the genre -- perhaps more than any other entertainment format -- is struggling to adapt to a streaming world. So it's just the challenge from streaming that is causing millions of people to simultaneously reject all of these leftwing propagandist unfunny clowns? How's the downsizing going on Greg Gutfeld's show? Weird, I haven't heard of them downsizing or having trouble with competition from streaming. This article will not even mention Greg Gutfeld, because, 1, the Hollywood Reporter will not admit it exists, and 2, the success of Gutfeld would destroy their central (dishonest) thesis that "streaming" is causing problems for all late-night hosts.
No. The format is as dated as the variety show, and the staffs of all of these "comedy" shows are filled with nasty unfunny communists with drug addictions and rampant sexual dysfunction. Next question.
Do late night talk shows have a future?
There's an unexpected Tater sighting for you. You're welcome. No mention of Gutfeld. How did I predict that. I must have a time machine or something. In a sign that HBO leftwing propagandist John Oliver's ratings also suck, HBO is now blocking the release of clips of the "comedy" show to YouTube, in order to force people to watch the show on HBO if they want to see the "comedy."
A couple of decades ago the question would have been crazy, given their young audience and pop cultural relevancy. But with the world of entertainment shifting to an on-demand streaming world, late night -- perhaps more than any other entertainment TV format -- has struggled to adapt. Late night, it appears, is now firmly in belt-tightening mode. Or as one veteran late night producer says, "there's definitely a new reality when it comes to budgets." On Sept. 6, NBC's long-running Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon announced plans to trim back its production schedule, airing four nights per week instead of five, swapping its Friday edition for a rerun. The network noted that The Tonight Show was the last of the major late night shows to produce five days per week. Earlier this year, NBC's Late Night With Seth Meyers had to drop its house band as part of budget cuts. And last year CBS opted to end its Late Late Show after James Corden left, opting to replace it with the less expensive After Midnight comedy game show. "It's kind of surprising, because, you know, these late night variety shows were cash cows for years," notes media analyst Brad Adgate. "They brought in a younger audience, it was relatively inexpensive to produce, and they had a bigger ad load than, say, primetime TV." That, in turn, meant that the margins on late night were higher than primetime. But the world has changed. Now of course, the cultural cache is built on YouTube and TikTok, and while the shows are present there (and even quite successful on those platforms) the revenue just doesn't line up to what they invest in the product. And the older audiences still watching linear TV just aren't as valuable to marketers. ... The audience for Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel has -- like much of traditional TV -- been on the decline for years as viewers have shifted their habits toward streaming and, specific to the late-night shows, viewing clips on YouTube and social media. Five years ago, The Late Show finished first in total viewers among late-night talk shows with 3.81 million, to 2.44 million for The Tonight Show and 2.04 million for Jimmy Kimmel Live. In 2023-24, The Late Show remained No. 1, but with only about 2.6 million viewers -- a decline of about 32 percent from 2018-19. Kimmel moved into second with 1.82 million viewers, down about 11 percent from five years earlier (having Monday Night Football as a lead-in once a week last fall helped some; the show averaged 1.77 million viewers from January to May). The Tonight Show slipped to third in viewers with 1.43 million, losing 41 percent of its 2018-19 total. Things were no better at 12:35 a.m., where Late Night With Seth Meyers (983,000 viewers) was down by about 470,000 viewers (32 percent) from 2018-19. ... Last year, Brian Stelter reported in Los Angeles magazine that CBS' Late Late Show was losing $15 million-$20 million per year, and while Corden's departure was a long time coming, the losses were all-but-certainly a factor in why CBS pulled the plug after he left.
"It's massively frustrating to me. I was not happy with it at all," Oliver said of the decision. In other words: Propaganda, not profit, is the driving consideration.
He further explained, "What I love about having the show on YouTube is that we can reach beyond HBO subscribers. That feels really important to me."
"I really, really appreciate the fact that they do that. I would rather they did it straight after the show the way we've always done it, but I'm very grateful that they are willing to still do it at all." When announcing the decision earlier this year, HBO said they were holding back segments on YouTube is an effort to get more people to stream the show on its sibling streaming platform, Max.Despite the fact that Oliver's ratings are so bad that HBO is forced to take action, they renewed him for three additional seasons in 2023. Because propaganda, not profit, is the goal of all modern corporations, and this is particularly true of media corporations. Update, just remembered:
"When Last Week Tonight With John Oliver premiered on HBO, the convenience of watching on Max did not exist, so YouTube allowed flexible viewing for the main story as well as promotional exposure," an HBO spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter at the time. "We are now delaying that availability and hope those fans choose to watch the entire show on Max." When first announced, back in February, Oliver said in a post on X that he had hopes the plan would change: "I know I usually share a link to our main story here on Mondays, but HBO has decided they're going to wait until Thursday to post them to YouTube from now on. I hope they change their mind, but until then, you can see our piece about the Supreme Court on HBO, on Max, and on YouTube in a few days."
Ace of Spades
@AceofSpadesHQ Jay Leno famously voluntarily took, IIRC, a $10 mil per year pay cut to keep his staff at full strength. Weird that the Heroes of the Workin' Man -- Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Jimmy Kimmel -- aren't voluntarily cutting their salaries to save their staff.

Harris-Biden Administration Warns ISRAEL to Not "Escalate"
Update: Israel says: We're going to Dangerously Escalate, motherf*ckers.
Avi Mayer
@AviMayer Israeli officials say Israel's response to the Iranian missile attack "will be unlike anything we've known until now." (Kan)
Iran has been talking about attacking Israel for weeks. The Harris-Biden Administration, and the entire pro-terrorist media, said nothing. Now that Iran has launched missiles, and Israel is obliged to strike back: Now comes the hand-wringing about "dangerous escalations" again. Katie Pavlich:
Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles into Israel Tuesday. Hezbollah has also launched rockets from southern Lebanon. Missile defense systems, including David's Sling, Arrow Defense System and Iron Dome are currently working to shoot down the incoming. There has been a potential direct hit in Tel Aviv. Israeli citizens across the country, including in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, are in bomb shelters. The targets are, of course, population centers.
Yashar AliVia French source BFTV:
@yashar Islamic Republic of Iran state media is distributing this clip with the following statement: "Do not take your eyes off the sky of Tel Aviv. Zionist murderers are being punished."
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard says that the attack against Israel is a response to the deaths of the heads of Hezballah and Hamas. So Iran is responding because its terrorist proxy armies were hit by the country it's waging terrorist war against. Obviously this is not a just cause for attacking a country. This is, what's the word?, a Dangerous Escalation. But no one in the corrupt globalist Regime is concerned about that. They're only worried about Israel's response to Iran's response (to Israel's response to Iran's unceasing terror war):
Caroline Glick
@CarolineGlick Ch 14 reported that the U.S. and Iran are negotiating the scope of the strike so that the U.S. will be able to compel Israel not to retaliate. Get it? The Biden-Harris administration is reportedly telling a U.S. enemy what level of assault against a U.S. ally is acceptable.
David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense
@davereaboi
Exactly as expected--the top priority in Washington and Tehran is to stop Israel's momentum and destroy its new image as the regional strong horse.

This gibbering lunatic Old will probably make more money there. But at least we can ignore her.
Tech culture columnist Taylor Lorenz is striking out on her own, exiting The Washington Post to launch her own publication on the Substack platform. Lorenz is launching User Magazine, which will "cover technology from the user side. It's about who has power on the internet and how that power is being wielded," she says. "I just wanted to get out of legacy media. I feel like it's just really, really difficult to do the kind of reporting that I want to do on the internet within these kind of older institutions as a primary job," Lorenz tells The Hollywood Reporter in an interview. "I like to have a really interactive relationship with my audience. I like to be very vocal online, obviously. And I just think all of that is really hard to do in the roles that are available at these legacy institutions."She also wants to defame people without fact-checking or calling them for comment. She's gotten in trouble for that repeatedly.
As a general rule, women like working in established institutions, and men are more likely to strike out on their own. This woman was let go, but I guess they're pretending this was her choice. The Washington Post is so successful that they have to fire people every few months.
"I think also legacy institutions generally have just really struggled to cover the internet in any meaningful way, I think that they often sort of shy away from the internet," she adds. "I write about the attention economy, and I write about the content creator industry, and I just want complete autonomy to write and do and say whatever I want, and engage a little bit more directly with my readers, with the public, when it comes to my work."
Mollie
@MZHemingway While it's good that the Washington Post finally got rid of this cruel and deranged activist with only a tenuous grasp on reality, that they harbored her for years is to their great shame and discredit.

Sometimes there are data points that just jump off the screen and should set off sirens. Alright, this is union households, this is the Democratic margin in the presidential election. It ain't what it used to be. You go back to 1992, Bill Clinton won that union vote by 30 points. Hillary Clinton only won it by 12 points back in 2016. That was the lowest mark for a Democrat since 1984, Mondale versus Reagan. But look at where Kamala Harris is today. She is only leading by nine points. That would be the worst Democratic performance in a generation. Ten points off the mark of Joe Biden, who of course won four years ago as sort of that union guy, "Union Joe," right? He won by 19 points. She's ten points off his mark, and the worst in a generation if this, in fact, holds.
Harris exudes the persona of a fundamentally unserious person, and Americans notice that sort of stuff. The giggly-retard tone is offputting when Americans are worried about where their next paycheck is coming from and whether it will be enough to buy a week's worth of groceries. The content-free gibberish about building a new economy may sound nice to the slim-hipped hipsters in Brooklyn and Cambridge and Palo Alto, but the jobs that most Americans need and want are conspicuously absent in her nonsense. Donald Trump understands the anger of the American worker, and has made clear his desire to put them first. If that means tariffs...so be it. American jobs are more important than incremental decreases in labor costs when manufacturing is offshore. Are tariffs economically sound? Possibly. Are they emotionally powerful and politically important? Absolutely. But more than that...it is the idea of a president who cares about American jobs more than he cares about a sh*tty little border war in Ukraine. It's the idea that a president cares about the price of a tank of gas more than he cares about a politically motivated wealth redistribution driven by globalists. It's the idea that a president loves America...and Americans...more than he love the idea of a new world order that allows the rapid dissipation of American Exceptionalism. The default Democrat support from many voting blocs in America is crumbling. Blacks, unions, Hispanics...they are all drifting away from the traditional Democrat. Is it huge? No. But a few percentage points is enough to shift the balance toward Donald Trump in a very meaningful way. He will never get the committed unionist with the Eugene Debs tattoos and the key to the union local office, but he may get those in the middle, and they are all he needs. With that preamble, there are several major things going on both here and abroad that top the headlines. Israel evidently has indeed launched its ground assault into southern Lebanon with the aim of grinding as much of Hezbollah as it can into the ground. Good luck, good hunting and Godspeed IDF. they'll not only get no help from the junta that controls the USA, but as Ace reported yesterday evening, those in power reportedly leaked some of the details of the IDF's planned actions ahead of time to the terrorists. The continued degradation of Hezbollah and Hamas, which are in point of fact proxy armies of Iran led me to speculate on the possibility of ultimately a toppling of the mullahocracy in Tehran, as well as putting a serious dent in its continued quest for atomic weapons.
[Jared Kushner]: "Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the North is wrong. There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance." One way to read that is Kushner wants Israel to finish off Hezbollah. The other is that Kushner is strongly hinting that Israel needs to dismantle Iran's nuclear program, too.My gut tells me if the Iranian government is indeed on the verge of or perhaps possibly in danger of being seriously destabilized to the point of collapse, what might the Deep State traitors and scum in Foggy Bottom and Kalorama do to protect them? Closer to home, In the wake of Hurricane Helene with a death toll of at least 130 so far, and reports of bodies in the trees, what is of utmost importance to our government instead of mitigating suffering and further death? DEI, of course!
A Wall Street Journal story Sunday quoted Johns Hopkins professor and former State Department advisor Vali Nasr saying, "Iran is not ready [for war with Israel] right now because it’s not the right time. But there will be a right time." When your enemy is not yet ready for war but you are, is there ever a better time to strike? You can be sure that's a debate that started (or perhaps re-started) in Jerusalem probably no later than Oct. 8. Hamas is holed up in northern Gaza. Hezbollah is leaderless, and Israel is systematically destroying their caches of weapons and rockets. The U.S. is effectively without a president, creating a world leadership vacuum that Jerusalem has a limited time to exploit. I'm deadly serious on that last point — who's in charge here anyway?
Remember Ford’s line about quality being job 1? At FEMA, Equity is job 1.Of course the rural south, being a traditional bastion of conservatives and christians, Well so what if a few hundred or even thousand whites drown or are dislocated. The junta no doubt has planeloads of Haitians, Guatemalans and even so-called "Palestinians" to take their place. After all, there is no opposite equivalent to Ray Nagin's infamous "Chocolate City" declaration about New Orleans, when his graft and incompetence helped destroy it, all the while blaming George W. Bush for attempting to ethnically cleanse the city of its blacks!
After equity comes ‘climate resilience’ and only in third place is to ‘Promote and Sustain a Ready FEMA and Prepared Nation’ which can mean (if you’re generous and naive) doing its actual job.
But first comes FEMA’s primary mission to ‘Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management’.
And that’s why the disaster in North Carolina is playing out the way that it is. I’ll have more on that in my article ‘FEMA’s DEI Crippled Hurricane Helene Response’.
Of course, Joey Sponge-Brain Shits_Pants has declared that we have no money nor resources to help with the relief. Well, with billions shipped off to Ukraine, and that Gaza pier, well, the cupboard is indeed bare! Speaking of piers, there is indeed now a nationwide dockworkers strike.
Have a good day, and prayers for all who are affected by Helene.
- ABOVE THE FOLD, BREAKING, NOTEWORTHY
- If drawn out, the strike will force businesses to pay shippers for delays and cause some goods to arrive late for peak holiday shopping season — potentially impacting delivery of anything from toys or artificial Christmas trees to cars, coffee and fruit.
Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas go on strike; standoff risking new shortages - Lloyd Billingsley: And the disturbing story of a Munich terrorist’s grandson.
State Department Aiding Illegals - Dennis Prager: What made me come to this conclusion was the way in which many people reacted to communism and to anti-communism. To my amazement, a great many people -- specifically, all leftists and many, though not all, liberals -- hated anti-communists far more than they hated communism.

- An 81 year old Montana man has been sentenced to six months in prison and three years probation, and ordered to pay $24,000 after he cloned and bred a race of giant sheep. (ABC)
He used genes from the Marco Polo variety of sheep found in central Asia, which weigh up to 300 pounds and have horns up to five feet long, which he crossed with existing Bighorn sheep to create an even larger hybrid population he called the Montana Mountain King.
As for the giant sheep, they've been ordered to be killed and their meat donated to create a race of giant pigs.

MassimoA dog rescuer takes his pack out for the morning jog. A channel I watch a lot is Sitting With Dogs. The guy, Rocky Kanaka, sits with dogs in shelters that need help -- dogs that are aggressive or afraid of people or too frightened to even move. Dogs that aren't going to get adopted, unless someone breaks them out of their shells. This was an especially cute one. The dog was neglected, or maybe was wild its whole life, and has a very bad case of mites. But five minutes in she starts getting very playful. Here's an update on her, or a "Pupdate." She's at a rescue now as she recovers from her bad mite infestation and learns how to be a dog. She's out in California, and if you like her, you might be able to adopt her. Partially paralyzed dog is able to run thanks to a wheelchair-like rig. Even dogs enjoy petting a dog. Giving a horse a groom. This video is upsetting: It's the GoPro video from a skier falling into a deep glacial ravine. I'm posting it, though, because, given that the video was recovered, I'm pretty confident the skier was recovered as well. Not recommended for claustrophobes or bathophobes. When you think you're rescuing a baby lizard but you get so much more. German shepherds play tag. The seed is strong. Some well-earned rest after a day of "commanding." Biking on the brink of a cliff.

How Japanese have produced wood for 700 years, without cutting down trees. Daisugi is an ancient Japanese forestry technique developed in the 14th century originally used by people living in the Kitayama region, because the territory was extremely poor in saplings. They planted cedars pruned in a special way to produce shoots that eventually would become perfect, straight, knot-free lumbers. The shoots are gently pruned by hand every two years leaving only the top boughs, allowing them to grow straight. Harvesting takes 20 years and old 'tree stock' can grow up to a hundred shoots at a time. There was actually another reason why the technique was developed: fashion. In the 14th century, a linear, stylized form of architecture known as sukiya-zukuri (数寄屋造りbecame popular, and every prominent samurai or nobleman wanted a house built in this way. There were simply not enough raw materials available to keep up with demand, so daisugi was developed to produce more wood in a shorter time. The wood produced with this technique has also impressive qualities: it's 140% more flexible than standard cedar and 200% denser and stronger. And, it's extremely durable.

Do these people even begin to comprehend the magnitude of the deadly game they're playing?
Former President Donald Trump on Monday accused the Democrats of withholding Secret Service staff necessary to ensure his security as a means of hampering his candidacy. Trump has faced two alleged assassination attempts. In July, he sustained a gunshot wound to the ear when Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at a Pennsylvania rally. Last week, the Trump campaign announced that he had been briefed on threats to his life from Iran. "The Democrats are interfering with my Campaign by not giving us the proper number of people within Secret Service that are necessary for Security," he posted on Truth Social. "They're using them for themselves, even though they don't need them - they draw 'flies' - because they have no crowds, and for people like the President of Iran, who is doing everything possible to kill me." "We need more Secret Service, and we need them NOW. It is ELECTION INTERFERENCE that we have to turn away thousands of people from arenas and venues because it is not being provided to us," he said. "Congress just authorized Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in money and help, and with the weak crowd participation that the Democrats get, there should be plenty 'left over' for the Republican Party." "Hopefully the people of Wisconsin, and other areas where thousands are turned away, will realize that this is just another Democrat ploy!" he concluded.
Do they think the the bullet that kills Trump will be the last bullet fired? They can't possibly believe that -- they're always shrieking that the right is agitating for a civil war and "the end of Muh Democracy." So either they're liars, and they know it's the left that is the violent insurrectionist movement, or they're stupid wishcasters who think that after they kill Trump we'll praise them for waking us from our deliriums. The Deep State is working overtime to subvert the election. From the FCC commissioner himself, outvoted by Harris-Biden communists:
Brendan CarrTrump says he'll be covering tomorrow night's "CBS Debate" of leftwing fake moderators vs. JD Vance:
@BrendanCarrFCC NEW
The FCC just released the text of its 3-2 decision to approve a Soros backed group's purchase of 200+ radio stations. The Commission's decision today is unprecedented. Never before has the Commission voted to approve the transfer of a broadcast license--let alone the transfer of broadcast licenses for over 200 radio stations across more than 40 markets--without following the requirements and procedures codified in federal law. Not once. Posted by: andycanuck

I hope that Cognitively Challenged, Lyin' Kamala Harris, will be listening so that she can again show the World how she will make up false facts and stories in order to change around an administrative FAILURE! In any event, I will be commenting on what is going on. Watch TRUTH SOCIAL tomorrow night!
Politico: For the First Time in Our Nation's History, a President Might Weaponize the DOJ to Prosecute His Political Opponents!!! They mean Trump, of course. You're telling me a president might weaponize the DOJ and intelligence agencies against his political opponents? Unpossible! I shan't believe it. I simply shannot.
What's that word you just used -- "retaliatory"? That means when you give an attack a counter-attack back, right?
The Coming Trump Revenge Tour Trump has campaigned on a wave of retaliatory criminal prosecutions.
It had better be. It had better be.
It's not the first time he's promised to lock up his rivals -- but a second term would be different.
Ankush Khardori is a senior writer for POLITICO Magazine and a former federal prosecutor at the Department of Justice, where he specialized in financial fraud and white-collar crime. He has also worked in the private sector on complex commercial litigation and white-collar corporate defense. His column, Rules of Law, offers an unvarnished look at national legal affairs and the political dimensions of the law at a moment when the two are inextricably linked. In the most volatile presidential campaign of the last 50 years, one thing has remained remarkably constant: Donald Trump's stated intention to prosecute a wide swath of his opponents if he wins the White House. The list of targets has been growing for years. It includes an array of Trump's political and legal antagonists -- real or perceived -- ranging from President Joe Biden and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to Anthony Fauci, the members of the Jan. 6 committee and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Just a few weeks ago, Trump put hundreds -- maybe thousands -- more of his political opponents in his prosecutorial crosshairs by threatening unnamed Democratic lawyers, political operatives, donors, voters and election officials. Trump has talked about his plan for a prosecutorial revenge tour in public speeches, press interviews and a litany of social media posts. It is subtly embedded in the official Republican Party platform, which proposes to "hold accountable those who have misused the power of Government to unjustly prosecute their Political Opponents." ...He leaked and then lied about it -- he obstructed justice by lying to FBI investigators. He was just a scapegoat, eh?
But Trump's political opponents -- and some of the country's most experienced federal law enforcement officials -- are taking the matter gravely seriously. ... Andrew McCabe, the former acting FBI director during the Trump administration, told me that he believes Trump "absolutely will" follow through on his threats. "It's one of the things that actually matters to him." McCabe knows from experience: His life was turned upside down after he became a target of Trump's baseless attacks and was threatened with indictment by Trump's Justice Department over statements that he made to internal investigators about his disclosures to the press.

The ground invasion of Lebanon has begun, just as the Harris-Biden Administration leaked to the terrorists and the press (that "and" is doing little work there). A French report says that the IDF has warned three neighborhoods in a suburb of Beirut to evacuate.

Diving Deeper: SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, marking the start of a critical mission to rescue two Boeing astronauts who have been stranded since June. NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov led the five-month mission, which will bring Boeing's Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams back to Earth after their Starliner capsule malfunctioned. The Crew Dragon docked with the ISS at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, and at 7:04 p.m., the astronauts entered the station, reuniting with Wilmore, Williams, and the rest of the ISS crew. Wilmore and Williams had been trapped on the ISS for months due to thruster failures and helium leaks in their Starliner capsule, forcing NASA to return the spacecraft to Earth without them.
