Wahhhhh!!!

Obama says "Lay off my wife".

What a PUTZ! He should have thought of the effects running for the Presidency would bring on his family before he decided to throw his hat in the ring.

With the exception of minor children; the Presidents family is fair game, and he should know that fact; it's just another example of his unfitness for high office if he claims to believe it to be any different.

The First Lady is just that; an example for the Nation. The Clintons made the claim that, if elected, we would get "two for the price of one"...I leave it up to you how THAT turned out, but it is still cold hard FACT that the First Lady is a highly visible symbol of our Nation, and we need to know almost as much about her as about the Candidate in order to help inform our choice on Election day. People tend to wed those that, at the very least, tolerate their own point of view. Political marriages tend to be between those who are even more congruent in their views.

Personally, I believe all that I have learned about our putative First Lady shows her to be an ungrateful, racist, and closedminded Bitch person. If that is the kind of "change" that Obama is espousing, I just have to say 'thanks, but NO THANKS'.

Underwear Dust

One evening a husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife 'Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in Slim Fast. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!'
His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go unrewarded.

The next morning the husband took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. 'What the Hell is this??' he said to himself as a little 'dust' cloud appeared when he shook them out.

'April,' he hollered into the bathroom, 'why did you put talcum powder in my underwear?'

She replied ...'It's not talcum powder......It's 'Miracle Grow'

Taking A Walk...

I was walking past the mental hospital the
other day, and all the patients were
shouting, "13...13....13...13."

The fence was too high to see over, but
I saw a little gap in the planks and looked
through to see what was going on.

Some idiot poked me in the eye with a stick.

Then they all started shouting.
"14...14...14...14....".

A FAIRY STORY

A married couple, both 55 were celebrating their
35th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant.

Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table saying,

'For being such an exemplary married couple and for
being loving to each other for all this time,
I will grant you each a wish.'

'Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband,' said the wife.

The fairy waved her magic wand and -- poof!
Two tickets for the Queen Mary II appeared in her hands.

The husband thought for a moment, and then said,
'Well, this is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come again.

'I'm sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me.'

The wife, and the fairy, were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish.

So the fairy waved her magic wand and -- poof!

The husband became 85 years old.

The moral of this story:
Men who are ungrateful bastards should remember fairies are female.

Politics

One of the members of an online forum I belong to made a comment about Thomas Jefferson that I just could not let pass without comment.

Here is his comment:

Jefferson, although a very literate man, caused a lot of what ails this country. Specifically - the electoral college. Out of his fear of the common man, he left determination for the presidency out of the grasp of the American people.

Here is my reply:

DAN, I think you are wrong vis a vis the Electoral College; the EC is one of the methods the Forefathers instituted to help keep us a Republic instead of a Democracy.

A lot of the electorate doesn't even know that for the first hundred years or so, Senators were appointed by the Governors of the several States with the concurrence of the State Legislature *, NOT elected by the populace at large, changing that procedure has caused the slippery slope we have been sliding downhill on ever since.

Democracy's ALWAYS slide into Tyrannies as soon as the populace at large learn that they can vote themselves largess from the public coffers, as is happening now with the pandering to the second, third and fourth welfare generations and to illegal aliens as if they were citizens instead of invaders of our sovereignty.

By putting Senators in the position of having to please a large general electorate instead of just a Governor and a State Legislature; they have been put into the position of the old Roman Senate: having to promise bread and circuses to the population to keep themselves in power, to the detriment of the country as a whole in the long run.

The glorification/romanticizing of the "common man" as the best answer to public problems is misguided at best and disastrous in practice the majority of the time, the founders knew this and thus instituted checks and balances not only on the government (which they TRUSTED to become corrupt w/o those checks), but on the mob mentality that inevitably occurs in a pure Democracy.

The EC was put into place so that the populace of the less populous States wielded the same power at the ballot box as their larger brethren and thus had the same representation in choosing who would lead them. This institution has served us well for over two centuries and I believe that it would be a fatal mistake to discard it.

(*The 17th Amendment made it so U.S. Senators were directly elected by popular vote. Prior to 1913, Senators were appointed. The President, of course, is still not elected by popular vote, but by the Electoral College.)

Subject: Fw: Private Part

An old man, Mr. Wallace, was living in a nursing home.

One day he appeared to be very sad and depressed.
Nurse Tracy asked him if there was anything wrong,

'Yes, Nurse Tracy,' said Mr. Wallace.

'My Private Part died today, and I am very sad.'

Knowing her patients were a little forgetful and sometimes
a little crazy, she replied, 'Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Wallace. Please accept my condolences.'

The following day, Mr Wallace was walking down the hall
with his Private Part hanging out of his pajamas.

He met Nurse Tracy. 'Mr. Wallace,' she said,

'You shouldn't be walking down the hall like that. Please put your Private Part back inside your pajamas.'

'But, Nurse Tracy I can't,' replied Mr.Wallace.

'I told you yesterday that my Private Part died.'

'Yes,' said Nurse Tracy, 'you did tell me that, but why is it hanging out of your pajamas?'

Why Carry A Gun

I got this in E-mail from one of the members of my 2Nd Amendment group, they didn't attribute it to a named author, but I must say, he encapsulated how I feel about the issue (all emph. mine - D) :

I don't carry a gun to kill people.

I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun to scare people.

I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.

I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

I don't carry a gun because I'm evil.

I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don't carry a gun because I hate the government.

I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry.

I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life
hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.

I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed,
and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy.

I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man.

I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves
and the ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.

I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don't carry a gun because I love it.

I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

'Police Protection' is an oxymoron.

Free citizens must protect themselves.

Police do not protect you from crime,
they usually just investigate the crime after it happens
and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die
and too old to take an ass kickin'.

John Steinbeck issued a warning that all should remember:

'Don't pick a fight with an old man.

If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

I'm BAAAAACK!

AT LAST, the Cable guy just left and I'm back on the 'Net, rarin to go and grow. I noticed that my rating has slipped, which I expected, but I hope ya'll will come back soon and lift me back to where I was.

I KNOW; it's petty to worry about such trivial matters, but just call me petty; it hurt to drop so far so quick...Never mind, if I write well enough, the readers will come. Three weeks without any connection....all you other net addicts out there can relate, I'm sure; it seemed to be an eternity.

It will take a couple days before I get back up to speed on what's happening in the world, having only had the big three networks really puts you behind the eight-ball information-wise, so give me some time and I'll be back to ranting and raving soon.

It's good to be back.

I just found out that my Sister in law Dianne Meyer died this morning. I haven't gotten all the details yet, but I request that you all pray for my brother Pieter in this time of grief.
Dianne was his rock, and without her, I don't know how he will keep from drifting down a path of self-destruction.

Quote of the Day

'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as
taking sides," Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to
whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem
itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air
and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less
bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If
that were our anthem, then I might salute it."
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

And this clown wants to be POTUS (and ergo CiC of the US Military) ??!!?
And peole are seriously taking him to heart? What went wrong in this country for this idiotic, racist, moronic clown to even be in the race at all, much less the frontrunner for the Demoncratic Party?

Guts or Balls...

There is a medical distinction. We've all heard about people having guts or balls, but do you really know the difference between them? In an effort to keep you informed, the definitions are listed below:

GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: ''Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?''

BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: ''You're next, fatty.''

I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome, since both ultimately result in death.

Watching the media talk about the WoT, you would get the sense that we are sustaining huge casualties to the point where we are almost losing a generation to the war. You can talk figures all you want but most people's eye just glaze over and they don't really get any true sense of the losses. People are visual, they get a better grasp when they can see items in concrete form.

To put our casualties sustained in the WoT in terms that a 13 year old can understand, here is an interesting graph:

Photobucket

ANY death is a tragedy, but to conflate the numbers lessens the import of any single death, and that is dishonoring that sacrifice.

Our Mainstream Print and TV media, and many Politicians like to slant; that these brave men and women, who are losing their lives in Iraq, are mostly minorities! Wrong AGAIN! The latest census, of Americans, shows the following distribution of American citizens, by Race:

European descent (White) ....... 69.12%
Hispanic ............................... 12.5%
Black..................................... 12.3%
Asian ..................................... 3.7%
Native American .................... . 1.0%
Other ..................................... 2.6%

Now... here are the fatalities by Race; over the past three years in Iraqi Freedom:

European descent (white) ..... 74.31%
Hispanic ............................. 10.74%
Black .................................. 9.67%
Asian ................................ . 1.81%
Native American ................... 1.09%
Other ................................... .33%

A good answer.

Bravo for Sheriff Judd!!!

As reported earlier this week, some dirt bag who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Florida ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. A statewide manhunt ensued.
The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit the guy 68 times.

Now here's the kicker: LOVE THIS!!!! Naturally, the media asked why they shot him 68 times.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel ...

'That's all the bullets we had.'

Good to see some old fashioned justice occur in this time of overzealous PC crap, and one less Goblin taken out of gene pool.

Moving blues...

Photobucket

The time has come to vacate the upstairs apt. at my Ex's house that Beth and I have been residing at for the last year and a half and get a place we can call our own...

We've been looking for almost six months and didn't find anything that really suited our needs/budget;and when we really got serious, the credit crunch started and we found we couldn't get financing for anything we would care to live at, so we switched to rental mode.

It's UNBELIEVABLE the rents people are trying to charge these days!

But we finally found a place that will work for the next couple years until we can get a down payment together for a place we can truly call our own (and the bank's, LOL)

So we're in the process of getting our stuff together and getting it to the new house. I think we'll be pretty much settled in by next Monday, with the exception of the computer and TV hookups. It will take some time to get those done, since the cable company wants an exorbitant amount to get service started, and after buying needed appliances and paying for the movers, something has to give and that something is the computer and TV.

I'm certainly not looking forward to being out of touch with the Blogging community, and being able to come here and rant on issues that I feel are important.

So if I suddenly stop posting, you'll know the reason why, and rest assured that I will make every effort to return to regular blogging as SOON as I possibly can.
I only hope you can bear with me on through the hiatus and not stop reading; you are all like an extended family to me and I would miss you deeply.
