Hi Petmorons, Here's Sherlock. When I got him he had heartworms, tapeworms, broken teeth, various wounds, and was wearing the cone of shame. Eighteen months later, he is the happiest dog in Christendom. No worms, teeth fixed, wounds healed, regular food, poops, pees, sniffs, and walkies. All the best, PatrickSherlock is a very lucky dog, Patrick! And he looks like a great dog, too! The Struggle Is Real Summer is comin on and we're saving our energy to chase squirrels. Hercules and tha'lil nugget in their natural state. Respectfully,"Natural State". They look like great companions. I saw the Galgos and Greyhound shots and wanted to share these two friends: Tio and Chancey. Our boys were hanging out for the day soon after we moved to California in 1986. The picture moniker was due to those two digging under a fence and visiting the downhill neighbor, to eat some tomatoes that had dried out on the plant in his yard ? GBNF... -KvFond memories . . . . Our first PetMoron sight hounds who went for tomatoes! That we know of. I've attached a photo of my princess, Sammy the Corgi. She's been featured once before a few years ago but she's overdue for another appearance. A LurkerSammy, your princess, is just delightful. Val (Delilah's brother) is at least holding his own right now. He had a bad night but he while he's coughed, he hasn't coughed up any more blood since this morning. He's let out only for the shortest time with me standing there. All I can do is give him his antibiotics morning and night, try to keep him comfortable, and hope. If he turns this, he should recover fully. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh at June 08, 2024 03:54 PM (MoZTd) 18

Ciampino's Rescue Kitties
Every time we opened the room door at least 2 kittens would escape. On Friday all 6 got out so we decided to let them roam and they're having a ball. We have noticed that the two orange ones, who have stuck together right from birth, even suckling side by side, are the 'naughtiest'. They still treat the room as home. That's where Mom hangs around. They bother her for milk but she's having none of that. Posted by: Ciampino - Sunday, Petday, Hurray, Catday at June 08, 2024 04:09 PM (qfLjt) 33

Afternoon, Pet Folk,
This morning I bought a window blind for the living room window. These two feline thugs, or perhaps one of the previous pair, have broken several of the slats of the current one -- high up, and rather neatly, but it still looks, when I walk up to my door, as if a pleasantly attractive girl is smiling at you . . . and showing a missing front tooth. Ugh. The one I bought is of the new cordless variety. It's 8" shorter than the old one; but I need to keep the blinds open by that much at the bottom to allow them to sit in the windows. The things we do for our monsters --! Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at June 08, 2024 04:22 PM (omVj0) 39

As for the furry monsters: Stirling was sleeping with me just now during my nap. Dagny La Siberienne wasn't -- though she's been known to be on the bed when I wake up. Currently she's sprawled on the farther end table, dozing, apparently, and thinking Dagny thoughts.
Tuesday will make two years since I made the epic drive to Vicksburg, four hours each way, and adopted Stirling. One of the best uses of my time and gasoline I've ever made. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at June 08, 2024 04:32 PM (omVj0) 43

When I was a kid , our dog Pepper , a Scottie , would receive an Oreo cookie as a reward for going to get the newspaper down the driveway . Oh, okay; I looked on the sidebar of the main site. N. VA it is. Hope everybody is having fun!
The other thing I tried to do for the cats this week was to buy a Shark steam mop. Ordered it online from Walmart, and it went astray thanks to FedEx. Miss Linda believes that part of the reason for Stirling's fur thinning in a few places along his underside and the insides of his front legs may be a reaction to dirt or other contaminants on my tile floor in kitchen and bathroom. Since he spends much more time on the carpeted areas, I find this hard to believe, but she's right, the floors do need cleaning. I had a tabby cat, a mutt, named Perkins after Maxwell Perkins. Big old goof. For some weird reason he loved asparagus. I don't remember how we discovered this fact. I had another one named Minnie also a tabby who would get into a yogurt cup and would go for the bottom of it so vigorously that the cup would get stuck on her head and then she would back away from it trying to back out of it waving the yogurt cup in the air and looking absolutely ridiculous. I miss them both.
