Agent in Place: Tyler Drumheller, Hillary's Personal Spymaster and Ex-CIA Clandestine Service Honcho, Was "Consultant" to CBS News During Benghazi Coverage

So one of the people in her personal "spy network" worked at CBS and helped shape coverage on Benghazi, is all.

Remember that Tyler Drumheller, former clandestine service chief of Europe, who was on Hillary's (and Sydney Blumenthal's) payroll as part of The Haggard Queen's private spy network?

Well he was also a "consultant" at CBS News.

In March, an investigation by ProPublica and Gawker revealed that a "secret spy network" that was not on the State Department payroll, run by longtime Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal, was "Funneling intelligence about the crisis in Libya directly to the Secretary of State’s private account starting before the Benghazi attack." Now the WEEKLY STANDARD has learned that Tyler Drumheller, the former chief of the CIA's clandestine service in Europe who was working directly with Blumenthal as a member of Clinton’s spy network, was concurrently working as a consultant to CBS News and its venerable news program 60 Minutes.

According to WEEKLY STANDARD sources, Drumheller was active in shaping the network's Benghazi coverage. His role at the network raises questions about what went wrong with the retracted 60 Minutes report on Benghazi that aired in October 2013. Despite his former life as a high ranking CIA official, Drumheller was laden with political baggage, making him a curious choice to be consulting with a major news operation--especially so given that he was working directly with Sidney Blumenthal, whose primary occupation appears to be manipulating media coverage on behalf of the Clintons.

CBS does not deny that Drumheller was working with the network, though a CBS spokesman would only say, "Tyler Drumheller was not involved in any way on the Benghazi story."

What the f*ck kind of f*cked-up dystopian Ultra Rome are we living in?

You should read this article. I read spy/conspiracy fiction on occasion (like Brad Thor's stuff), but as to the major premises, I'm usually happy to say "Well of course that part is jumped-up nonsense; we don't live in that kind of country."

Oh.... we sure do. We sure do.

Flashback, from Mark Hemingway's piece:

Former CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson pointed the finger at her former network for helping the Obama administration obfuscate on this point; the day after Benghazi attack, in an interview with 60 Minutes’s Steve Kroft, President Obama said it was "too early to know" whether the attack was terrorism. As the election neared, whether or not Obama had called the attack terrorism emerged as a major election issue with Republican candidate Mitt Romney attacking Obama for failing to label Benghazi a terror attack for 14 days, and the issue became a flashpoint during the second presidential debate.

Despite the fact the interview would have been especially newsworthy, CBS didn't show the clip, and only leaked a transcript of Kroft's interview days before the election

By the way, Drumheller is the most useful kind of operative: A dead one. He died last month of pancreatic cancer.

(Note: I should have noted that from the start, instead of letting a dark suggestion float out from the sentence. I should have checked on this and reported it properly, but I am sick to death of these people I just dropped the "he's dead" line out there, without context.

But I should not have let my gall cause me to be sloppy and mislead you guys.)

That's the monthly treasury statement as of the end of August. You know receipts are going gangbusters. Uncle Sugar is getting more tax revenue than any time in history, yet he still can't balance. MOAR, MOAR...

At any rate, that's how they've managed to keep the accounting tricks going so far. April had a huge surplus, and Sept. is another good month (this one of the months when quarterly estimated tax revenue comes in).

Oh, SS ain't doing so hot, only $34B or so excess revenue this year. The Disability part has already gone in the cash red, and the rest of it is going downhill as well. The baby boomer retirement bust is here.

JFK abandoned the Cubans on the beaches at the Bay of Pigs. We promised air support and pffft.

The Democrat Congress cut military aid to South Vietnam in 73-75, and blocked our sending troops and air support that we promised them by treaty.

Oh, and Boner, Bitch, and the chairman/ranking members of the intelligence committees knew about the program as part of the Gang of 8 that must be notified about these types of intelligence activities.

From wiki:

"After much consideration and emotional discussion, the House of Representatives passed the North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act on November 17, 1993, 234-200. The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. The bill passed the Senate on November 20, 1993, 61-38."

Interesting. So clearly, this too was not treated as a "treaty."

So passed by a majority, I would say could be repealed by a majority, and is not a treaty, just a law (that can be repealed at will).

Right?

it's been a longstanding position of mine that the Nuremberg trials were one of the most retarded decisions ever made by America. Those scumbags should have just been run through quick military trials, summarily executed, and tossed in the garbage. To give them such a stage and to make a bunch of stupid statements about "war crimes" did no one any good.

The movie might be cool but that has always been my view of the Nuremberg trials. They were a sick and disastrous mockery of civilization.

The trials weren't needed to create any official record. They solidified the insane notion of "war crimes" that has hurt civilization ever since. It wasn't worth it. Further, the trials treated the Nazi scum like human beings, which they weren't.

Israel later pulled the same stupid shit with Eichmann. They should have just offed him in Argentina ... slowly. Nothing was served by bringing him back to Israel to "stand trial". In that case, however, the Mossad got some great publicity out of it and helped serve a bit of deterrent (for a little while) but that same deterrent would have been more effective if they had just left death cards with his mutilated body.

487 Cruz, Carly, Carson and -- yes -- Trump are the only 4 with a chance of getting the nomination that I would even consider voting for at this point.

Jeb! and baby Jeb! ("Gang of Eight" Rubio) lost my vote before the race even started.

Baby Jeb! was just on Hannity talking about how the GOP doesn't make the case to the people on issues like defunding PP, which is why they lose and voters feel betrayed -- meanwhile, he didn't show up to vote on that very issue today. Just another establishment phony.

494 Cruz is way too self righteous. Smug. Someone used the word smarmy which I thought was a good word to describe him. It's off putting plus the bad voice. Bad hair. He has also let himself turn into Ron Paul in how much he has alienated others and isolated himself and always seems to be scolding.

495 @287...Will someone, please, figure out what type of butt surgery Beck had? I think during his teevee show. He was completely insane and blaming doctors, hospitals, etc for his supposed "allergy" to the meds. It was butt surgery. I think this was his turning point and early spiral. I was watching and, as a RN, thinking, wow, that surgery was profound (when it takes A LOT to get admitted, y'all). If it was for hemorrhoids, wowzer, must have been a whopper. I mean he was yowling about the pain and the drugs and the bad people.

Did anyone else see this or was it a dream or hallucination? I convinced my family, once, that Judge Judy had died. Now, keep in mind I did not watch Judge Judy but read, or though I read, about her dying. Convinced my late father until he told me, months later, she is not dead you lunatic.

I also did not watch Beck every day but remember this show about his butt surgery clearly. And the comment about him being butt-hurt brought back the question of what the heck? He was straight-out looney on that show and I thought, uh-oh. Or I made it all up...possible. I just wanna know: hemorrhoids vs pilonidal cyst vs perhaps I don't want to know aka roto-rooter-pooter.

I've been at the same place for 25 years. I definitely like a small business better than a big corporation. Yes, I could probably make more money and better benefits at a corporation, but then there would be the office politics and rules and regulations and all that stuff. A small business is more flexible and less formal.

There's also the not insignificant factor that I'm more indispensable to a small business than I would be at a big corporation. As long as the company stays in business, I have better job security. Not to toot my own horn, but this place would be in serious trouble if I were to drop dead suddenly.

60 minutes did a whole thing on Benghazi (Lara Logan was the anchor IIRC) where they interviewed a guy (some kind of mercenary working for the US govt) who had some ... problematic facts... in his book that were disputed by, well, everyone.

They used that guy as the only source and had to retract it.

Now we find that Hillarys paid-spy was "consulting" for cbs. Which doesn't mean that the first guys facts' were true, just maybe that they're not as fake as we've been led to believe.

Pixy runs munuvia on virtual servers under some flavor of LINUX (probably a Red Hat flavor, since he uses YUM). As such, he has a bunch of virtual processors in the virtual machines trying to suck up real processor time in the hosting machine. When ace.mu.nu gets hit, he compares what the virtual machine thinks is time passed with what an external clock thinks is time passed -- thus, "Processing 0.05, elapsed 0.0514 seconds." The virtual machine did 0.05 seconds of processing in 0.0514 actual seconds. Well, actual seconds are what people complaining about "slow" are experiencing, so I was wondering if Pixy was seeing the same phenomenon in his virtual machines.

So far, the only weird one has been "Processing 0.2, elapsed 0.1675 seconds." [MH @467]

592 Christy:

Alcoholics and other addicts tend to react poorly to drugs when they get clean.
They also tend to react poorly to stress when the drugs start fogging them up.
They also, much to my despair, often have trouble admitting that the problems may not be due to someone else's action.
Whether they do something about it when they clear up is solely their own decision when the clear up.

If he has managed to do half of what he claims: gotten straight with himself, straight with his family, with God, and asked for amends from the people he messed over, then he has done more than all my family rolled into one.

That's a mighty low bar for judging, but it is nice to see it is possible to make.

606 Free story idea for one of our authors.....

As you may know, computerized cryptography is generally based upon something that is computationally a pain-in-the-ass. For example: integer factorization, discrete logarithms, or the discrete logarithm of an elliptic curve. [Nice summary at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Computational_hardness_assumption ]

All of this is arcane and odd and all that.....but then let's mix in some fun. You may also know that "Bitcoin mining" is a thing -- you run specialized programs to come up with cryptographically significant information for some hellaciously long time and out pops a Bitcoin. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_network]

A lot of people are devoting a lot of hardware and computation power to this.

Now, let's put in a twist. What if every Bitcoin mined gave the NSA [or your other favorite boogeyman] a key to a SHA-256-encoded message? In other words, someone came up with a way to seriously encrypt data, and a security agency came up with the whole Bitcoin thing to generate keys?
