Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Poor Joy Reid had to diversify her conspiracy theories because of the assassination attemptJust when Project 2025 was beginning to be exposed, the assassination attempt diverted the spotlight away from it.You would think that they would have started exposing it in January when it was published, but squirrel! At one point, Joy Reid was reduced to Ear Trutherism, which also spread to more "respectable" press representatives. And from the Daily Mail: Joy Reid was accused of 'next level desperation' after suggesting that Joe Biden's brush with Covid is as heroic as Donald Trump's defiance in the face of an assassin's bullet. The MSNBC host was speaking from the Republican National Convention as news broke that the president had cancelled a speech in Las Vegas after testing positive for Covid. The liberal anchor dismissed the attack on Trump as a 'photo-op', and seemed dismayed at the contrast drawn by delegates between the president's frailty and his challenger's vigorous response to being shot. 'Should he (Biden) be fine in a couple of days, doesn't that convey exactly the same thing?' she demanded. So, did Biden get better in two days? This is so difficult for certain people on the left. Here's an example of a social media image of Project 2025 after the assassination attempt: Another MSNBC anchor, Joy Reid, recently described a second Trump term as “Hitler in the White House.”The softening of rhetoric is not lasting. It is changing, though, sometimes substituting "Project 2025" for the "3rd Reich". President Barack Obama plans to ask the thousands of political appointees across his administration to submit letters of resignation effective on Inauguration Day, a move that follows a time-honored tradition but is stoking anxiety among his loyalists throughout the federal government. For the first time in 28 years, there’s the prospect of a same-party transition, and with Hillary Clinton vowing to build on Obama’s agenda, that could have been good news for any of his 4,000 political appointees who might want to keep their jobs beyond Jan. 20. But despite the eight-year process of merging the Democrats’ political networks, the expectation remains that Clinton will largely replace Obama’s executive branch staff — from cabinet secretaries to deputy chiefs of staff to low-level press assistants — with her own. Compared to the skeletal political machine that Obama built as a freshman senator from Illinois, Clinton has “a far larger universe of people who have relationships with her or have worked with her over the years,” said Tommy Vietor, who went from driving a press van for then-Sen. Obama to becoming his top national security spokesman in the White House. My social media "friend" suggested that J.D. Vance will not be successful in replacing Deep State appointees because there are not enough "smart conservatives" to fill the positions. But he suggests that if they just cut government agencies instead, that will be just as disastrous. Some conservatives are worried that Vance will maintain more "big government" than they would like, "using the left's tools against them".
Project 2025 encapsulates the dark, dystopian, fake-masculine, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant vision of America we heard over the course of the past four days from the Republican Party at the Republican National Convention. For more on Republicans' extreme policies and how Project 2025 promises to upend our republic, go to MSNBC.com/ReidOutProject2025.Four videos are currently featured, including "Project 2025: DOJ as 'office of vengeance' emboldened by Trump's presidential immunity" It does not seem that the authors of the various sections of the document demonized by Reid were asked to comment. I wonder if Joy Reid has noticed any instances of our current DOJ being used as an "Office of Vengeance"? Completely ridiculous batshit crazy election year thought experiments: Imagine that masculinity was net *positive*, and positively perceived by many...perhaps even most...heterosexual females. Imagine that European culture was also overwhelmingly net positive, and was perceived to be so by many black, asian and latino people. Imagine that Judeo-Christian values were net positive, and were perceived as being so by a majority of Atheists. Imagine that "Weaponize Masculinity." was actually a pretty AMAZING and effective election year slogan. Edgy. Positive. High Energy. Confident. Pro-safety. And all the right people will hate it ensuring maximal exposure. I know, I know. Stupid right? So dumb. This all sounds crazy to many of you die-hard Biden/Harris supporters. Forgive me for wasting your time. Just crazy talk. No big deal. See you all in November.

There are *two* "Project 2025"s making the rounds. One was published by the Heritage foundation or somebody. That isn't what is under "discussion". I think it’s important for us to realize that there are 2 Project 2025’s being sent around the net right now. The first, by the Heritage Foundation, is a rather innocuous list of goals which sound like a combination of Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign platform, and some things we talk about here.
The second version is a political dirty trick piece written by Clinton hit man Marc Elias. This is the one that says “get rid of all contraceptives” and “use the US military to shoot domestic protesters.” Guess which one the MSM quotes whenever they mention it. Setting aside the fact that this is yet another LARP, even if they actually followed through for once and tried, they'd be in for a shock that other countries have actual borders. Not sure about Costa Rica, but Iceland has had insanely strict immigration policies even before the voters finally told "refugees" to "f**k off, we're full". Posted by: Desert Dwelling Morons - Somehow on topic: This has me slightly concerned about Alabama football this year. The Washington-based coach moved practices to mornings. Yes, it's still hot because it's Alabama, but practicing in the afternoon means you're never surprised because it's oppressive, brutal, you-might-die heat/humidity. There's really good reasons to become accustomed to those conditions. I guarantee Georgia is practicing at 11 - 2pm or so. Trump, in his first term, was consistently stopped from implementing his agenda, because his own staff would not support him. Hell, they even went so far as to Persecute Gen. Flynn legally so he would not be Trump's Nat Sec Advisor. The 2025 Doc is nothing more than ONE Conservative groups suggestions of how Trump can get a staff that actually supports him. Lewis says he lost his faith well before the war.
Posted by: Eeyore Well, perhaps so. Maybe he had become cynical before the war, and the War broke him inside. It broke a lot of people that survived to go home. I was just recalling something I saw on TV (an oral discourse on Lewis) in which an actor playing Lewis talked about how the WWI experiences broke him inside. I assumed they were using actual writings by C.S. Lewis. Posted by: A face in the crowd..... at July 20, 2024 12:49 PM (tjZg/) 229
WA state is making this election cycle all about abortion. Again.
Like anyone in their right mind would try to challenge abortion in this state. If Republicans were smart, they would state clearly that abortion is not on the table. Always enjoy your comments. I was thinking the other day about the SS malfunctions last week. IIRC, you posted several years ago about (I believe it was) the SS, and their firearm ability. I remember you referring to them, or at least some of them, as deadly men, not to ever be f*d with. This is absolutely not a "Gotcha" or criticism, this was a number of years ago, but wondering if you knew anything about the change in standards, or if I'm talking about something totally different. Did a quick search of pron in Project 2025. Talks against child pron and pron in schools.
Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime. Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered. First the setup, remember a couple months ago a story came out about a spook who punked G.H.W. Bush back in the 1980s. He was the guy that briefed George, so the story goes, about a brand new special products division disguise. "What is it, where's your briefcase?" kind of thing. Remember, George was an ex-spook. So the guy starts to peel off his face! "Stop!" George says. And proceeds to inspect his hair, eyes, ears all around. The disguises are almost perfect. Scary good, so the story goes. OK, take that at face value so they got this shit down now, or they did 45 years ago. What's it like now? Now some of the tin-foil folks focus on attached or detached ear lobes. This makes no sense, they wouldn't overlook something like that I wouldn't think. Hypothesis: Joe is Fine/Not Fine, but they can send out whatever flavor of Joe they want from time to time. Joe could even be dead, etc. etc. Not too much weirder than what we know goes on. They have a script that is being played. Trump should have pulled on Joey at the debate. Straight from the horse's mouth:
It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on day one of the next conservative administration. This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative administration: a policy agenda, personnel, training, and a 180-day playbook. The project is the effort of a broad coalition of conservative organizations that have come together to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025. With the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, we will take back our government. I see talk of "body count", and lower numbers seem to be favored by people looking for a serious relationship. Posted by: MrExcitement -- It makes the 20% of men that are banging the 80% of available women happy. Very happy. Don't think for a moment it doesn't. The problem is that society has decided to convince women that they should behave that way, too, and that's not the way women are designed. The 20% of men are the alphas because of X or Y, and them getting laid is an accomplishment that the women are recognizing and hoping to secure. Any woman can get laid anywhere at any time. Trying to pretend that getting laid is some accomplishment for a woman is absurd. But that's what society has convinced them of. BTW, that's not a valid 4 set Venn diagram. For example, there is no exclusive A intersect C space (A = Ping, C = Green). All A intersect C space on there also includes either B or D.
There IS such a thing as a valid 4-set Venn diagram. I was able to figure it out in 10th grade. Draw a box. Draw a 4 x 4 grid in it. Erase the lower right square, leaving you with 15 boxes. A is the rectangle bounded by the top two rows. B is the rectangle bounded by the middle two rows. C is the rectangle bounded by the leftmost two columns. D is the rectangle bounded by the middle two columns. Posted by: RonF at July 20, 2024 03:40 PM (l8nW6) 397

Posted by: mnw at July 20, 2024 02:37 PM (NLIak) (1) OK, so supposedly some "Trump people" were involved in Project 2025. I'm supposed to believe all those NeverTrumper orgs have genuinely changed their spots? Trump has pretty much disavowed this stuff. I'm skeptical, and you haven't made much of a case. (2) I wouldn't say I was "wrong" about Crooks' education, either. You said he was an "honors student in engineering", when he was actually - according to you - a high school honors student (which is like the top third of the class these days), and an engineering student who went to junior college, and was about to enter a real college. So you're the one who was actually being corrected. As far as being "VERY bright", you don't have to be especially smart to have those things on your resume, either. his guy wasn't exactly MIT material.
