If you have ever said "we all belong to the human race," you are part of the structure supporting white supremacist genocide. See above.

It's not just the New York Times going after Donald Trump with charges of racism. Progressives are coming after you as an individual.

This week, an outfit called CA25 United for Progress started a boycott against a weekly newspaper, the Santa Clarita (California) Gazette. They put a defamatory summary of editorial content by the publisher online, along with links to advertisers, so other progressives could do email blasts.

Bottom line is that if you think the media, politicians and educators talk too much about racism and white supremacy, you are in league with David Duke in covering up for white supremacists. And if you favor nationalism over internationalism, you are almost certainly a "white nationalist."

Sutton's remarks echo recent comments shared by KKK activist David Duke, who said white supremacy concerns were part of a "Zionist hoax." "The term is itself a lie. Millions of White activists are NOT 'supremacists' We seek NOT to oppress or destroy any race! Human Rights for all -- EVEN FOR WHITE PEOPLE! Stop antiWhite racism!" Duke tweeted.

This is inane. There is NOTHING connected to a Zionist conspiracy or millions of white activists in anything they quoted. Though there were a couple of "trigger words" in the newspaper. I was kind of surprised that the authors included the David Duke libel, in particular, because they had resisted truncating quotes in a way that could have made the editorials in the newspaper sound awful.

But what they DID say was awful enough.

In my dreams, I would love to see people who write attacks like this aimed at destroying lives forced to state and defend their own views. And forced to state their support for, or to disavow, progressive extremists and extremist positions.

For example, does CA25 United for Progress support typical classes and other educational programs on The Problem of Whiteness?

Whether they support these kinds of classes or not, do they concede that this topic (as presented in schools, etc.) goes way beyond white supremacist domestic terrorism and that they, therefore, misrepresented the meaning of "the problem of whiteness" as mentioned in the little weekly newspaper they are trying to shut down?

Getting deeper into "problem of whiteness" theory, does CA25 United for Progress believe that Students of Color who take science classes are race traitors and that their white teachers should be hunted? They need to take a stand.

CA25 United for Progress got an elected representative to support their libel, too.

Assemblywoman Christy Smith, representing the 38th district, expressed support for a boycott of the Gazette today. "I will no longer be promoting my official state activities, nor sponsoring paid campaign advertising in Santa Clarita Gazette and Free Classifieds," she wrote on her Facebook page.
Assemblywoman Smith invoked Sutton's own complaints about "white privilege." "I'm exercising my 'white privilege,' the privilege of moving money, marshaling resources, and saying no more," she wrote. "I urge anyone who supports this publication with your ad dollars to do the same. Let's show our neighbors we stand with them."

They are destroying a neighbor. He didn't do anything to hurt his neighbors.

I think the main topic of last week's post, the decision of the NYT to devote the next two years to the topic of the President's "racism", is going to be an enduring one. I thought it might be a good idea just to have a place to leave some links. We can add to the list over time. This post also includes the Codevilla piece now in the sidebar. It relates to the kind of attack described just above.

In the comments, there was a link to a piece by Sarah Hoyt about other publications rolling hard, hard left then dying.

This preceded the piece by Scott McKay that J.J. Sefton linked suggesting that Dean Baquet has killed the New York Times.

August 22, Ace summarized the Rasmussen poll which found that a majority of likely voters thought that most reporters are trying to block Trump's agenda.

They don't seem to have asked if Trump is a racist. Though the NYT story from last week may have played some part in the survey results.

Also via J.J. Sefton, the 1519 project: European helps natives take downs a mass-murdering cult. Cortez was no angel, but he was bold.

The irony is that much of Niven's SF, and the stuff he did with Pournelle, seem tailor-made for films: They are ferociously visual, with neat flashes of real humor and dynamite action scenes. But almost nothing of his, or theirs, has even been adapted for TV or movies.

Exception: the animated Star Trek episode, "The Slaver Weapon." Niven himself adapted it from his own long short story, putting in Spock, Sulu, and Uhura for the puppeteer alien and the married human couple in the original who are captured by kzinti determined to find a new weapon and thus start a new interstellar war.

I originally saw "Slaver Weapon" when it was new. When I lived at home. With no color TV. So they were just another shade of gray. It was the story that gripped me. When I later read the short story, I marveled at how well Niven adapted the tale to the short visual format.

Funny thing, 20 years ago the warm-mongers were bitching because the noble indigenous tribes were burning down the rain forest in order to clear land for food crops. And since rain forest soil is generally red acidic soil, the crops would thrive for the first year on the ashes of the burned trees. But afterwards, the crops would fail, as the previous year's crop had eaten up all the nutrients.

So the tribes would move on to ANOTHER patch of land and burn it down. Rinse and repeat.

They control the courts, the schools, universities, colleges, bureaucracy, increasingly the corporations, Hollywood and the media.

As for warriors those can be trained to a minimal standard in 2-3 months. 6-9 months to improve that. This has been done many times in the past and the weapons and training are the smallest part of it.

And they do have ex-military types in their groups and the gangs have been sending their members into the military for training. Estimates are that 10% of gang members now have military training.

400 I think Franco did some pretty fancy footwork. He accepted support from Mussolini and later Hitler, but then again he was up against forces supported by Stalin, and no one else would support him. In fact, Blum in France, a socialist himself, strongly opposed Franco. So he took what support he could get.

Having done that, and later won, he did not join Mussolini and Hitler afterwards, much to their annoyance, he did not participate in the Holocaust, he did not invade any other countries, he did not hold out Spaniards as a superior people, he did not (AFAIK) try to run Spanish industry.

So it seems to me he played Mussolini and Hitler, pulled his country back from the socialist/ communist brink, and kept his country out of war.

405 I think we one can give the same credence to the lefts description of Franco as that of Pinochet and the troubles in Chile. I grew up hearing only, and believing, what a monster Pinochet was and with with Americas help he went around slaughtering innocent, peacful citizens going about their business, maybe some doing a little political organizing and charity work. The reality is , as we know here, much different. And subsequent polls have shown Pinochet had a huge support from the citizens, probbaly even a majority. which belied he saved the country from communism.

Franco may not have been an angel but he and his allies were fighting demons.

Being somewhat serious, actually understanding issues, working to get real info, and not giving any leeway to tribal colleagues/incumbents when they fail to lead or act - the minimum for an electorate that can enforce meaningful change. And far beyond the time, energy, interest, or ability of most people.

There's also the lack of any national outlook or concern, for most things. Not entirely new, but now - nobody in your family/'hood killed by an illegal alien DUI or raped by a thrice-deported illegal sprung from the local lock-up due to "sanctuary" laws? Your health insurance not destroyed, first time in your life, by O-care? "Not my problem". Oh - surveys will show all the right attitudes [some of these things are 8O/2O issues, would have been political death to be on the wrong side in previous America]. Incumbents fail to act, keep their promises? Meh. Not my problem.

Not that ctrl-left was used much, but it is dead on accurate.

N&P books that didn't get mentioned but should have are Legacy of Heorot (ecological disaster and terran colonization stories wrapped around each other); and Oath of Fealty (arcology life). Both of them chock full of great scenes and ideas.
