The Left is frothing at the mouth and swooning onto their fainting couches over Barbara Walters essentially giving Trump an hour-long campaign commercial of an interview.
And props to The Donald for making damn sure nobody's going all Katie Couric on him. You just know he had to have warned her. "Babs, I have a damn good shot at winning this thing. So, United Healthcare is going to pull out of Obamacare because it's bleeding them dry. 2 things of note: a) the insurance industry couldn't wait to support it because it guaranteed them a customer base, so fuck them. b) even if, as everyone says, Obamacare is on a death spiral and will collapse, it will still be the law of the land. I am rapidly developing a Nixonian hatred for the MFM. Was forced to watch NBC "news" last night, and Lester Dolt's second story, after the Mali bombings, was a several-minute-long screed about how Trump wants to make all Muzzies in the US wear badges, just like Hitler did to the Joooos!!!11!!
It was as if the whole hit piece had been written by Ed Morrissey or one of the other Witches of Salem: a total absence of fact, all based on Trump not belting a reporter across the face for dropping such a suggestion in front of him. Trump must be better than I thought: for all that he is allegedly so gaffe-prone, so Not A Conservative, all those opposed to him seem able to do is fabricate bullshit stories. Simple facts would torpedo most candidates: certainly Shrillery would be toast in an instant if people paid attention to what she has said and done, and Heb!, Rubio and Cruzer would all be out of the race if their adherents did some fact-checking. If we are ever fortunate enough to wean the nation from its acceptance of leftist treason and toss its practicioners into obscurity, we will also have to sweep away at least one generation -- if not more -- of "reporters" and "pundits." Rules for chance encounters with the bear : Don't make eye contact, don't run. Don't scream and shout. If possible, walk away slowly and retreat to a safe place. If attacked by the bear, lay down, curl into a ball, and try to protect vital organs. Play dead. Meanwhile, the bear is trying to pretend he is all alone and there are no other living animals within a hundred miles. Just walkin' here. Probably talking about doughnuts or something. Baltimore: Village Idiot's Apprentice pointed out: probably 309 Posted by: Colin at November 21, 2015 07:00 AM (8BlfF) This is why "Black Lives DON'T Matter". It's not all those eeeee-vil white cops killing all those poor, put upon "dint do nuffin but wus gone to kollege" types. They are killing each other, in ton lots. And in the few cases where someone of the caucasian persuasion did shoot one of them, in the vast majority of cases they needed killin', as we say here in Texas, based on their behavior at the time. Michael Brown, needed killin'. Trayvon Martin, needed killin', just to name two recent high profile cases. Trump the fascist. That's an illuminating thought. Trump shouts "build the damn wall" and that makes him a fascist; someone who decides things, and gives orders. Someone like Bush the Decider who sends troops into foreign countries.
In modern culture a 'real man' will avoid making a decision for as long as possible. A 'real man' will call for a committee of experts, and convene a three day conference where all interested parties can be heard, where all interest groups can participate in the decision making process, where a consensus will slowly build and in the end everyone will have an equal and fair share in the outcome. See? That's democracy inaction. Posted by: THDeering at November 21, 2015 07:31 AM (rIjOn) 88

One "good" thing the useless republicans (spit) did was somehow got choom to sign a bill that said the "risk corridors" could only be paid from money collected from the higher performing insurance companies and not general funds. I don't remember the exact numbers but the high performing companies only generated about 200M in fees and the other ones are asking for 2+B. We'll see if they have the nuts to actually follow through and tell the insurance companies "sorry, you're going to have to eat that." (no, no they won't, they'll tuck the spending away in some little bill you never heard of)

I admit that I like what I've heard Trump say, even though I'm not 100% comfortable with electing the dude president. And the things he has allegedly said that I don't like are mainly reported by the MFM and GOPe, so I'm not sure he ever said them. But one of the top reasons for supporting his candidacy is the effect it is having on worthless squishes like Poppin' Fresh and the rest of the GOPe turd-polishers. The mere thought of having a guy like him as president -- as opposed to one of their Game of Politics darlings -- gives them the heebie-jeebies. I like that. I spent a couple of weeks in Bedford many moons ago taking a training class at what was then known as Wellfleet Communications. Nice little town, but that Boston traffic. OMG, I thought Houston was bad, but Houston traffic is a breeze compared to Boston, and the only time I spent there was going to and from the airport. (A story. When I arrived at Logan, I took a wrong turn and got lost. Stopped at a gas station to ask for directions. The guy says "Go up to the rotary, and...". I'm like "Go up to the what?" Had no idea what the hell he was talking about, although I found out soon enough. I always had the feeling NASCAR sometimes "adjusted" things for him so they had an All-American Boy Racer to point to. Chi-Town Jerry,
After all snow we had this year my older brother told me he was serious about leaving this state, I spent 2 months looking at 4 states & wanted to move to Marble Fall, Texas. He wanted to move somewhere where weather doesn't make national news, Arizona or New Mexico. Both states suck, but I looked in NM & found out it sucks & I thinks its i40 that runs through both & anything over that & you get a NYC winter. Then Texas had all storms & we are at impasse! The last one will be with fresh stuff on Tuesday because I can't go Wednesday as I'll be at the airport all day picking up 3 sons (with one the future son in law because daughter has to work) who will want to eat their heads off and me pay for it. Ugh. And it is raining.

I've also rekindled my love of drag racing and been watching drag boats too. Ran across some sort of boat racing where two people navigate around a small course in some insanely quick machines whose name escapes me right now because lack of sufficient coffee. Dave, can you report back on Tommy Emmanuel's show? I saw him at a festival two summers ago, and it was the most virtuoso set I've ever seen, but incredibly detached and unengaging. No patter, no intros to the songs, no insight into how he achieves the incredible effects. I'm hoping it was just the format, where he's trying to squeeze as much of his full-length concert into an abbreviated festival slot as possible. My alternate explanation is that he's a guitar playing robot with no personality.

I spent my formative years at the local drag strip in Huntsville, the Madison County Dragway. A local fella bought the old Malco Gasser and was always there. All my friends had musclecars during the late '60's and early '70's and that's where we hung out when we weren't cruising. I luv the fact that they don't really know how much horsepower a Top Fuel dragster makes because there's not a dyno anywhere that's capable of measuring it. No good deed --- I've never cooked a whole turkey, either, for the same reason (mom or aunt always does this). I have cooked a turkey breast the few times we were unable to travel and just has a small celebration at home. It was easy and I saw an Ina Garten show last weekend where she stuffed a turkey breast w/a sausage, fig and cranberry stuffing that looked to die for!

About once a year some tree will lean over and contact a power line on my street. Power flows to ground setting stuff on fire. If I read correctly you have a branch on your roof which is also contacting a power line. Path to ground is down branch to roof. If that's happening eventually heat will ensue, shingles, tar paper, and plywood will catch fire.
Please take a careful look. The actual power line is the highest one. Posted by: se pa moron at November 21, 2015 09:45 AM (7v/r5) 325

Yeah, it's the league/teams fault that he's not
playing. It has nothing to do with his lack of ability and the only reason anyone knew anything about him was because he's bent. When Barry gets back he can invite him to the White House to comfort him. Hey Michael nice footballs! Posted by: TheQuietMan at November 21, 2015 09:45 AM (45oDG) Greg Hardy has a job with the Cowboys, similar to what a player like Mike Sam COULD be doing... Vick still has a job with the Steelers as their backup (I think), Peterson is leading the league in rushing. So no, I'm not believing any player is evaluated by what he does off the field, unless he kills somebody... and even then they reluctantly deal with that. If you can play, you play. The NFL is about the single most meritocratic entity in the world. If they don't want you, it's because you can't play. Plain and simple. Posted by: BurtTC at November 21, 2015 09:52 AM (TOk1P) 341

In my case at least, it's generally a combo of frustration and anger, usually at world events (like now) but more frequently because of something TFG did or didn't do. Frustration builds up because aside from sounding off in comments, there is so little we can do to make things right. We're told to shut up, ridiculed and ignored. Even elections don't work. Phones went out in mom's neighborhood for several days. The woman who works for her bought her a cell.
We got the number via my baby sister, but she warned us not to call mom on the cell, as mom might be confused. Daughter visited yesterday and went over the phone with her. Mom said, basically I push this to call and push this to answer. Not hard. Mom's four-and-some years from being a centenarian and still sharper than most folks. Heck, her TV remote control is far more complicated than the cell, anyway. Laughing (amongst ourselves) at my Democrat baby sister's over-concern, our line, of course, is "still not as confused as Hillary!" Both Sam and the Columbia girl are following the same formula.
1. I really really really want "A", therefore I deserve to get "A" 2. The people who award me with "A" require that I do "B". 3. I am not actually capable of doing "B" 4. Therefore the reason I cannot get "A" is because third-party "C" has predetermined to judge me on characteristic "D". 5. Therefore I have a grievance. Michael Sam: A = be a professional football player B = run fast, read offensive schemes, tackle C = the coaches D = homosexuality Columbia student: A = college degree B = read a particular curriculum and demonstrate a level of understanding of same C = the professors D = being a "person of color" Posted by: Seamus Muldoon at November 21, 2015 10:30 AM (NeFrd) Posted by: Hairyback Guy at November 21, 2015 10:30 AM (ej1L0) 409

They're on their 4th QB of the season, winless in their Conference. Stout D, but no match for top level offenses for four quarters. Fenway is decked out in ND finery, as it's some sort of Shamrock Series, traveling road show. BC will get a home game down the road. Anyway, for Subway alumni like so many from MA, it'll be occasion for much chatter and more drinking. Nice if BC could keep it tight for at least a half.

Chemjeff,
I was disgusted by how well I cared for my roses last summer & how the horrible winter killed so many. We had 29 degrees days (earliest frost since 1979) but Thursday's they were still growing. I have to cut those really tall ones back, but have to wait until we have frost a few days in a row or they'll try to grow. It was nearly 60 Thursday & Friday. I add 12-14 bags of mulch around bases of roses. I've never lost as many as this past winter. I have 10 year old climbers that were trained to the arbor & had to chop down to below ankle level. Posted by: Carol at November 21, 2015 11:17 AM (sj3Ax) He used to play football. Which is not unique, there are many ex-football players in this world. He also happens to be the guy who admitted he is gay, just before it was time to enter the NFL draft. So he was drafted, which he otherwise would not have been, had he not disclosed his gayness. He has not succeeded as an NFL player, nor as a player in the Canadian Football League because being gay doesn't help one bit when it comes to actually playing football.
