A new permanent form of birth control has been touted for control of animal populations. It turns out this results in infertility potentially for life. There is no indication that this is reversible, but even if a way of reversing this were possible there would still be "reproductive tissue damage." Would this fly for human population control like it is intended with animal population control? Already we have underage kids being allowed to sterilize themselves without parental input. With childlessness becoming the new norm and birth control now eliminating menses all together, a permanent sterilization is par for the course. What is even more frighteningly is that forced sterilization is something that has already happened in this country... with the approval of the Supreme Court!

The state cannot pay. The "benefit" has been enshrined into the state constitution, believe it or not. Taxes cannot be raised any further. Chicago is in similar shape. Democrat rule inevitably leads to this problem, and the pandering of their old white candidates two nights ago in Vegas shows the same thinking still rules.

The main problem they have is with golden deals they made with the gov employee unions that were unopposed by anybody.
The main problem is upstate in Chicago and the areas around it. Chicago itself is sitting on the verge of bankruptcy and the courts ruled that they can not cut those golden payments to the retired union slugs. And that goes even IF they declare bankruptcy.

Roe v Wade was a ruling that used stare decisis creep from Griswold v. Connecticut. The "right to privacy" came from that case. Admittedly the MA law was a complete piece of shit, but as that old CBS guy who reported on the courts used to say, "bad laws make bad cases".

The soldiers ended up discovering the bed of a tractor trailer that had been buried. Inside the trailer bed authorities found two armored vehicles. Authorities searched the area and ended up finding nine other vehicles hidden in the brush.
Of the 11 seized vehicles, eight of them were armored. Five of the vehicles had professionally installed armor while the three others had makeshift armor made up of welded steel plates.

Well, judging from experience of driving through Ohio during winter time, I've concluded that states at that latitude have to put salt down by the mega ton because people at those latitudes don't understand what 'black ice' is, where it forms, or why, or when or how to drive on it. So anytime there is a snowflake in the air, might be a snowflake in the air, or afternoon snowmelt on the ground that might refreeze, then the salt trucks have to be out there making the roads safe.
Which is only one step removed from the more southern states who don't even have salt trucks, nor know how to use pickup trucks and hand shovels to spread sand on bridges.
Oh, have you ever been to Albuquerque, or Dallas when the roads are icy?

But the article had this:

So at least 4% of meteorologists believe we can reverse a thing that isn't happening.

They shovel plenty of sand here but I don't think it does any good. They also use road scrapers to plow the snow which only compacts it into ice and makes it worse.
In any case it would be insane for our State to buy a bunch of expensive snow removal equipment when we have on average only one small snow a Winter.

.Not going to happen. At age 37 I was still running long distances but I had cut down to 10 or less miles a run, and my times had been creeping up for a couple of years. Plus I was less than two years from blowing out both of my knees and I had started to feel it. There is no way on earth that I could have competed with a young perfect physical specimen of a 21 year old for very long. It is just not physically possible.

I think the same with many businesses. At my last job we had an opening. My boss (women) who was verrrrryyyyy pro women hear me roar BS, hired another women for the job. The job was for logistics/inventory/purchasing. I was involved in the candidate screening. One of the men that applied had 12 years Army logistics and inventory experience and was just out of the service. Another man who was about 40 years old, had 20 years experience in logistics. The boss hired a women who had 2 years logistics experience. She was about 23 and recently married. When I read her resume, I thought not only is she the weakest candidate, but within a year she will be on maternity leave.
I was right, and got to do her job while she was out, and then when her leave was running out, she quits. So now I get to do the job another 3 months until they get someone else hired and trained, by me. Of course it was another women who was recently married.

This. Especially with Chicago Shit-Midas in the White House. But even without that, the Fed Gov is *not* going to allow any of the States to drop to territorial status.
1) They don't want to lose the income tax revenue.
2) Considering how much of many State budgets is due to Federal "sharing" (Medicaid especially, but others, too), someone *might* just start asking if all that "free" money is worth the cost. And we can't have that - then States might start taking back some of their power.

If a state goes bankrupt, is beyond restructuring, and has to be bailed out, it automatically reverts to territorial status. The entire state government responsible for the bankruptcy will be dismissed and forbidden from holding government positions.
The State will then be administered by a Territorial government until such a time as the State is capable of reimbursing the Federal Government in full for bailing out its creditors. If for any reason the state's voters or acts of Congress should subdivide the state, the debt owed will be split according to population.

Same here. And I tried to treat the mild to moderate pain myself for over a year, bouncing around through all sorts of self diagnoses and treating myself with Immodium, Pepto, Lactaid, probiotics, etc. etc. Finally had a full-blown "attack" and thought I was gonna die. Pain excruciating. Glad to be rid of the little sucker.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. No way in HELL that the leftists extend draft registration to women. They're all about trying to give women fellow travelers all the career benefits of access to combat training schools and combat MOSs without any of the responsibilities and obligations.
The caterwauling of feminists who want something for nothing would be absolutely deafening if the draft was extended to women.
