Two Satyrs

Satyrs were woodland creatures from ancient Greek mythology. Early depictions were of wild and playful human-like creatures with tails. By the era following Alexander the Great, satyrs had evolved into the more familiar man-goat form associated with debauchery and the wine god Dionysus. This is the image that has been passed down through Western culture to today.

In this work, Peter Paul Rubens presents this creature in all his debased, debauched glory. The figure in front stares full-on at me with this unsettling grin. It’s the cringy type of grin a drunk gives you from across a bar. His cheeks and nose are red from too much drinking and his eyes are watery. In fact, he looks like he is having a hard time focusing on me. His hair and beard are wild and unkempt, with a crown made of grape vines (I think) on his head. He looks barbaric and unruly.

The figure in back tones down the work some. To me, he looks unserious and is just hanging out with no real purpose. In profile, he guzzles wine from a cup, chugging it so fast, some of it spills from his mouth. He is clownish and unserious. In fact, he is so disinterested in anything but his drink, I wondered what would happen to the work if I mentally erased him. It changed the painting dramatically.

Satyrs were sex-fiends that symbolized hedonism and carnal satisfaction. Today, a man with an insatiable sexual desire is said to have satyrism. The front satyr becomes much more menacing when I remove his companion. His nearly nude, muscular body shows off a powerful figure. The animal skin covering makes him wild and earthy. And then there’s that stare. I can’t stop looking at him – especially his eyes. His left eye, in shadow, catches the light, giving it an eerie glow. This reminds me of the publicity poster for The Terminator with its glowing red eye. I feel uneasy around him.

My opinion of this work completely changed while writing this essay. At first, I thought Two Satyrs goofy and light-hearted. Now I think it’s creepy.

The Morning Report — 3/13/24

Good morning, kids. As of yesterday, it's official. Both Trump and Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants have clinched the requisite number of delegates to become the nominees for next November. It's also beyond any doubt at all that whatever is left of any kind of sanity and reason went out the door long ago as the Democrat Left and its allies/enablers in and out of government are creating hell on earth.

As Haiti devolves into a complete state of violent anarchy and chaos – yet again for the umpteenth time in more than a century – the inevitable tidal wave of refugees is the perfect crisis-that-should-not-be-allowed-to-go-to-waste opportunity for the Left to distract from the disaster of an erased southern border while at the same time throwing gasoline on the Dresden of that situation while insisting that who know how many thousands or even tens of thousands of Haitians must, MUST! be allowed to settle here because, reasons!

In a moment of frustration, Trump exclaimed, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”

[Then-President Trump] was unconvinced by a proposal to insulate immigrants from Haiti and a number of other countries from deportation; instead, according to the Washington Post, he suggested “that the United States should … bring more people from countries such as Norway” and “from Asian countries because he felt that they help the United States economically.” At the time, Trump’s colorful choice of words was “denounced across the globe,” Politico relayed gravely. But as it pertains to Haiti, at least, they may have been an understatement.

The U.S. State Department appears to have reached a similar conclusion: Last week, it urged Americans in Haiti to leave the country and directed U.S. military forces to evacuate American Embassy staff overnight.

The move couldn’t come soon enough. What is transpiring in Haiti is so post-apocalyptic — so unspeakably brutal — that it would be impossible to believe were it not for the steady stream of phone videos and first-person testimonials substantiating the media reports pouring out of the country. “Millions of Haitians Face Starvation as Gangs Aim for Total Takeover, Free 5,000 Prisoners,” reads one recent headline. “Haiti Gangs Launch Main Airport Seige, Massacring People ‘Indiscriminately’ Days After Massive Jail Break,” reports another. This weekend’s Washington Post report, titled “Haitians shot dead in the streets and there’s no one to take the corpses away,” paints a picture of the scene on the ground. . .

. . . Spurred on in part by this persistent barbarism, the Dominican Republic, Haiti’s neighbor to the east, constructed a border wall separating the two nations in 2022. The following year, as the gang violence continued to worsen on the western side of the wall, the Dominicans initiated a complete border shutdown, deploying military patrols to secure the borderlands and carrying out mass deportations to repatriate more than 176,000 Haitian migrants. Haitians protested the indignity by burning tires at the Dominican border.

Here at home, the Biden [junta] has taken more or less the opposite approach. Since fall 2022, the White House has been running a special program allowing up to 30,000 people per month to legally immigrate to the U.S. from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. As of January 2024, the program has admitted more than 357,000 into the country, including 138,000 Haitians (far more than any of the other three nationalities). . .

. . . For all the high-minded talk of “American values,” the simple and obvious truth is that when you import a large number of people from a foreign country in a short amount of time, your country begins to look more like the one those people came from. This is true in all places and in all times: Italian immigration, for example, radically altered the character of America; even now, with the Italian-American diaspora fully “assimilated,” the United States is markedly different than it would have been had they never arrived in the first place.

The same was true of Irish immigration and German immigration (a major source of concern for many of the Founding Fathers); it is true of Mexicans, and Poles, and Scots-Irish, and every other cohort that has come to America from another country in substantial numbers. To ignore that, or to refuse to examine the character of an immigrant’s home — to pretend that all nations of origin are created equal — is to embed a deep and dangerous naïveté into our immigration system. 

In every instance, America today is the way it is, in part, because of the character of its immigrants, one in turn formed as the result of the character of the place from which they came. That’s the double-edged sword of “assimilation”: The people become more like their adopted home, but their adopted home also becomes more like them. Americans should think long and hard about what it would mean to become more like Haiti. 

The author makes an interesting point vis a vis "the double-edged sword of assimilation." Yes it is true that the character of America is radically different from what it was in 1789 to what it became after the first mass wave of immigration between 1880 and 1920. But the key word here is "assimilation." It changed yet it was made better and stronger and arguably even more "American" in a sense than what even the Founders imagined. In the early 20s, we shut our door for 40 years or so, in order that the millions who landed here could assimilate and become Americanized. Most importantly, so that their children who were to be born here could be that way the moment they arrived.

Today, not only is there no assimilation and that word taboo, but what we are experiencing is no less than a deliberate effort to completely annihilate the character, culture, traditions and history of this nation as it was founded and what controlled immigration with mandatory assimilation had created – the greatest, freest, most prosperous society in history. Hand in hand with that, is the brainwashing of America's native born children to reject their birthright and heritage as evil, and demand it be replaced with the kind of tyranny their forebears fled, naturally being indoctrinated into its moral superiority and rejecting anyone who dares question it.

It's classic divide and conquer. Whatever evil can't be spread from within, you import from elsewhere in the quest to gain permanent political dominance. The Haitians that I knew and went to school with 50 years ago in what was the then magical place called Brooklyn were fleeing the nightmare hellscape of the Duvaliers and for the most part, at least in my experience, became fully Americanized. In fact, it was to such an extent that they earned the enmity of native born black Americans who, by that time, had fully bought into the bullshit of Democrat-invented victimization culture, and all the rot that went with it.

Bitterly ironic that black Americans have been destroyed to such an extent by the welfare state, abortion, family dissolution and the blood libel of "institutional white supremacy" that the Democrats now have to import millions of foreign indigents to take their place at the voting booth. Yet, that is the cold, hard and simple truth as to why we have an erased border, zero immigration controls, and of course nothing even approaching any kind of program of assimilation. The fact that we have had institutionalized and government-mandated programs of bilingualism and multilingualism for decades just underscores the point.

Psaki-psircling back to Trump questioning, and rightly so, the sanity of flooding America with millions of people from "shithole countries," it might sound cruel, but many times the truth is indeed cruel. Like everything else wrong with America which led him to running in the first place, the madness of allowing millions of people in who bring nothing but poverty, disease, destitution and the moral rot of "the old country" without any means or even the desire to ensure that they assimilate is something that he and we reacted to in a most natural way. For that, he got reamed. That is, for exposing the insane lie and hypocrisy of our immigration policy since 1965's Ted Kennedy-led Hart-Celler Act, he had to be destroyed.

Haiti, Mexico, and much of the world are indeed shithole countries. When you include the majority of Muslim countries, the mortal danger of terrorism on top of run of the mill murder, rape and robbery makes the situation that much worse.

Haiti is a freaking basket case and has been for decades. In fact, things have been so bad and so corrupt for so long that off the top of my head, I can't even tell you what the county's top export is. Dysentery, scabies and, evidently, cannibalism don't count. But the DC junta is bound to insist that millions of Haitians must be settled here. Along with a few million "Palestinians" from Gaza. And we'll not only have to accept it, we'll be forced to cheer it on!

Meanwhile, in DC, the Democrats complete buffoonery at the Robert Hur hearing was less a case of being laughable than it was terrifying insofar as exposing their insane totalitarian bent. It's funny because Robert Hur pulled a James Comey in declaring Biden guilty yet pulling the "no reasonable prosecutor" schtick as a means to shield him.

First, you have a backbench ankle-biter Dem from PA claiming that Hur insisting that Biden was not exonerated is merely "semantics."

Then when Hur has a heated back and forth with this Jayapal mouth-breather insisting that he did not exonerate Biden, she claims he did, bangs the gavel and essentially silences him.

Of course, sub-literate racialist shit-whore Cori Bush used her time just to slime Trump as "the former white supremacist in chief."

It's a total farce, but flinging poo is all they have. Will Biden ever face any real consequences for the high crimes and misdemeanors he has committed over the course of decades? Crimes which Trump is being falsely accused and persecuted in a complete inversion of what the American criminal justice system is supposed to be? Of course not.

Whether the cheat machine is strong enough to overcome the mood of most of the nation in its desperation to get rid of Biden is the question.

The fact that Joey decided to make "vroom vroom" noises in the middle of the proceedings probably won't help his cause. Meh, given the mental acuity of much of the Democrat base, I might have to revise that prediction.

Hur: The White House Pressured Me to Change My Findings

The White House didn't like that he blew the whistle on their cover-up of the fake president's mental infirmity.

Special counsel Robert Hur testified on Tuesday that the White House attempted to pressure him into changing aspects of his report on President Biden's mishandling of classified documents.

The revelation came during Hur's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, in which Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., probed the special counsel head about a Feb. 5 letter the White House Counsel sent to Hur days before his report became public. When Tiffany asked whether the White House requested he "change [the report's] references to the president's poor memory," Hur confirmed the administration did, in fact, make such a request.

"There was a request, yes," Hur said, contradicting claims issued earlier in the hearing by Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who asserted Biden did not "seek to redact a single word of Mr. Hur's report."

In fact, there were repeated attempts to get Hur to change his honest reporting on the deterioration of the fake president's brain.

John Sexton quotes the Washington Post:

When Hur finished his 345-page report, he first sent it to Biden's lawyers to review in person. The Biden team was permitted to request factual edits and to submit a response that was included in the final copy.

They asked Hur to consider removing the details about the president's memory, but Hur refused, according to two people familiar with the communications.

The report then went to the DOJ's highest-ranking non-political official. The White House again begged him to censor the report:

Weinsheimer had received a letter from Biden's lawyers saying Hur's report "blatantly violates Justice Department policy and practice." He read the report and determined that the document was appropriate and contained nothing that violated agency regulations, according to officials familiar with the internal conversations.

Finally, the report went to partisan stooge Merrick Garland -- and he, too refused the White House's demands to alter the report.

I know the below claims the White House avoided making these requests, because such requests require the notification to Congress of the attempt to censor the record.

I do not believe them. The White House asked to alter the report through back-channels.

Some Biden aides wanted Garland to question the memory references when he reviewed the report, according to people familiar with the White House conversations, even though doing so would have meant notifying Congress that he had asked Hur for edits.

Garland reviewed what Hur's team had written and agreed. He prepared to submit the report to Congress and then make it public with no redactions.

Sexton writes:

Because this is a story at the Post the comments are the usual dumpster fire of partisan rants about AG Garland not being political enough and Robert Hur being too political.

Some other points of interest from the hearing:

Eric Swallowell attempted to get Hur, a former Federal prosecutor, would refuse any appointment by Trump into the federal prosecutor corps should he win. Hur declined to answer, and Swallowell claimed this means that he cannot be trusted.

So does this equally apply to the Biden prosecutors who accepted Biden's appointment, or nah?

Adam Schiff trotted out Dan Goldman's excuse -- Biden was just lying when he claimed he couldn't remember. You know, like all Democrat witnesses since Hillary Clinton do.

In the hearing just now, Russia collusion conspiracy theorist, liar and leaker Adam Schiff just said it's common for witnesses to say "I don't recall" and in fact attorneys are supposed to instruct them to do so if they don't remember everything. The J6 Committee tried to smear Stefan Passantino for guiding Cassidy Hutchinson to say "I don't recall" when she didn't remember key details or facts.

The lying c*w Jayapal kept insisting that Hur's report "exonerated" Biden, despite Hur repeatedly telling her it did no such thing.

She said "This is my time" when he attempted to correct her the third time. Which means, "Shut up, I am acting as if this is a question but it's actually just a speech and you're supposed to sit their silently as I say these things, so the media can run video of it with the suggestion that you are agreeing with my statements in guilty silence, and when you object, that ruins the propaganda stunt I'm attempting."

Here's a lie that leftwing fake "journalists" are putting out: Biden correctly named the month and date of Beau Biden's death. But he had no idea about the year.

Hur's report said not that he couldn't name the date, but that he could not name the year, "even within a range of years" or words to that effect.

Leftwing fake "journalists" are flooding Twitter with clear disinformation that Hur said he couldn't name the date.

CBS DEI hack Weija Jiang is also pushing the disinformation hard that akshually Biden remembered the date.

"So, look, many of the details that Biden couldn't recall -- such as how boxes were backed up, how they were transported -- those are things that would likely be tricky for anyone to remember decades later. It is notable, though, that Hur could not remember when his son Beau died. That's just not true.

Hur's report said he could not name the year, even within a range of years. This is just factually false disinformation.

The President correctly stated the date, May 30, but struggled to name the year. His lawyer quickly chimed that it was 2015. After the report's release, Biden angrily responded, saying he thought the question wasn't any of their damn business. But one thing is very clear from the transcript. Biden was cooperative throughout the entire interview process. Of course, one reason why Hur declined to prosecute him."

UPDATE: Below is a longer transcript, which proves that Biden first guessed that Beau died in 2017 or 2018. His aim was to blame his failure to properly handle classified records on Beau's death, which is his Get Out of Jail Free card for all scandals.

I'm not -- and not a mean thing to say. He just thought that she had a better shot of winning the presidency than I did. And so I hadn't, I hadn't, at this point -- even though I'm at Penn, I hadn't walked away from the idea that I may run for office again. But if I ran again, I'd be running for President. And, and so what was happening, though -- what month did Beau die? Oh, God, May 30th --

The U.S. military will build a temporary port on Gaza's Mediterranean coast to receive humanitarian aid by sea, President Joe Biden said in his State of the Union speech on Thursday.

Planning for the operation, initially based on the island of Cyprus, does not envision deployment of U.S. military personnel in Gaza.

Relax, guys, Democrat-dominated military planners "do not envision" US soldiers being deployed as "peacekeepers" and palace guards and human shields for Hamas, so what are you worried about? What more reassurance do you need than "does not envision"?

Biden's announcement came as he seeks to cool anger among many in his Democratic Party over his support for Israel in its offensive in Gaza since Oct. 7, given the steep toll on civilians in the Palestinian enclave.

Oh, that. Why I'm sure Biden made this decision without any concern for the Michigan polls.

The post has good details about how the Army's navy (yes it has its own small navy) goes about erecting a port.

This will take about 1,000 personnel to accomplish. I don't know a single maritime professional who thinks this is a good idea given the location and conditions ashore, but orders are orders....

As for my general thought on doing this? I'll avoid the politics as much as I can, but I have concerns.

Generally speaking, no operation starts out on the right foot with a lie.

"We're not planning for this to be an operation that would require U.S. boots on the ground," said a senior administration official.

I'm not mad at the official. They are just making sure their statement is in line with higher direction and guidance. President Biden was clear in his SOTU speech;

The United States has been leading international efforts to get more humanitarian assistance into Gaza. Tonight, I'm directing the U.S. military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the coast of Gaza that can receive large shipments carrying food, water, medicine, and temporary shelters.

No U.S. boots will be on the ground.

You cannot build a pier, even JLOTS, without putting boots on the ground. Just look at the above picture again.

BREAKING: Israel just thwarted an immediate Palestinian suicide bombing.

In a joint IDF and ISA counterterror mission, Jenin resident Muhammad Jabar was eliminated in the town of Zeita while on his way to Israel to carry out a suicide attack in the immediate future. Jabar was armed with a weapon and a ready-to-use explosive device.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were arrested in Italy for plotting a terror attack. The attack was planned for another country; maybe Israel, but who knows? Why would they have to plan an attack on Israel from Italy? They have terrorists right next door to Israel.

Italy arrested three Palestinians suspected of planning terrorist attacks in an unspecified country, Italian police reported on March 11. In the Italian city of L'Aquila, the suspects allegedly established a cell connected to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed group linked to the Palestinian faction Fatah. Israel, the European Union, and the United States have designated the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades as a terrorist organization. So much for that strange demand that Israel observe Ramadan during its war against Hamas and other Islamist terror networks. Hezbollah has 'celebrated' Ramadan by increasing the pace of its attacks in the north of Israel, ramping up the intensity of both sides. Overnight, Hezbollah launched over 100 rockets at Israel, prompting another round of answering attacks on their positions:

Israel responded with several strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon after alarms sounded in the Galilee and the Golan Heights as two barrages of at least 100 rockets in total were launched at northern Israel on Tuesday morning, the IDF reported. Crashes were reportedly sighted in open areas near Ein Kuniya, Snir, Sha'ar Yashuv, and Kfar Szold.

Hezbollah said it fired these Katyusha rockets in response to Israeli bombardment of the Bekaa region Monday night, Reuters reported.

The IDF responded by attacking rocket launch posts in Lebanon that had fired towards the North. A military compound in the Khiam area was struck, and terrorist infrastructure in the Bint Jbeil area was also struck on Tuesday, the IDF reported.

Consider Hezbollah's explanation an example of the Mom He Hit Me Back! genre of spin. Hezbollah has launched rockets at northern Israel since the start of the Gaza operation, clearly wanting to divert some of Israel's defenses to its north to slow down the offensive against Hamas in the south. It has worked to some degree but not nearly enough, as Hamas' rapid collapses in Gaza City and Khan Younis proved. The attacks on Bekaa on Monday came as retaliation for attacks by Hezbollah, and so on ad infinitum, or at least ad October 7.

New York Fire Department Commissioner Will Hunt Down Firefighters Who Chanted "Trump, Trump" During "Tish" James Photo Op

Corrupt rogue partisan "Tish" James appeared, in place of the actual mayor for some reason, at ceremony to announce promotions in the NYFD.

The firefighters showed their hostility to her partisan persecution of Trump by chanting his name.

You know -- exercising their First Amendment rights.

What's that you say? We don't have First Amendment rights any longer? The First Amendment is "dangerous" and a cadre of communist cultural ministers must patrol our every statement for its capacity to "cause harm"?

Well, yeah, we'll get to that.

New York Attorney General Letitia James was met with a chorus of boos and chants of "Trump" while delivering a speech at an FDNY promotion ceremony Thursday.

As James walked onto the podium at the Christian Cultural Center's Brooklyn Campus, members of the crowd -- made up of the families of captains, battalion chiefs and civilians who were up for promotion, as well as the firemen who work beside them -- began to jeer, video shows.

"Oh, come on. We're in a house of God. First, uhm, simmer down," James said as she attempted to pacify the crowd before adding, "thank you for getting it out of your system."

As James continued her speech, the booing swiftly turned to chants in support of former President Donald Trump.

"Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump," the crowd bellowed.

James -- whose office recently won a $454 million civil fraud judgment against Trump -- pushed forward with her speech, praying for "those men and women who exemplify true courage."

"Some may even be here. Some might even be booing me. But nonetheless, I pray for them," she said.

Woke Magazine Demands to Know: Where Are the Black People in Shogun?

I thought this headline must be a troll, but apparently the writer is quite serious(ly retarded).

There's a new drama that looks pretty awesome called "Shogun" which is about Japan in the 1600s. So, of course, woke journalists are asking the real question, "Where are all the black people?"

Okay, I'm going to be fair to this journalist and look at the story. Giving him the click he so desperately longs for, to hear out the argument.

According to multiple sources, one of the early real-life Shoguns, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro (758 - 811), was Black, though denied by others. There is a consensus he was something other than pure Japanese, and he is often considered descended from the Ainu, the darker-skinned indigenous people of northern Japan who were subjected to forced assimilation and colonization.

Even if that were true, the Ainu are not "black people" as people use that term, and as this asinine fake "journalist" wants to suggest. They are merely darker-skinned Asians. We see darker-skinned Asians all the time. They are not "black people."

His entire argument to include black people in a show about Japan is that there MAY HAVE been ONE black person who was a Shogun. Although no one knows if he was really black or if he was just dark-skinned. But since a black person MAY have existed in 1600 Japan they HAVE to be inserted into the show.

Because he's just trying to be historically accurate, after all.

Transcripts of Hur's Questioning of Elderly Man with Poor Memory Released; Hur Testifies Before Congress

From Ed Morrissey, even George Stephanopolous' Disney News Service finds that the transcripts don't support Biden's lies:

Biden and the White House accused Hur of using Beau Biden to set him up. The media accused Republicans of "salivating" and "pouncing," and excoriated Hur for politiciizing the report. But not too long after that, leaks from those who saw the transcripts made it clear that Biden brought up Beau, not Hur. And Biden used him in the way Biden always uses Beau -- as a shield, a point ABC News confirms this morning after reading the transcripts:

During a line of questioning about Biden's activities after leaving the vice presidency in 2017, a period in which he was writing a book about the loss of his son, the president reminded investigators that Beau Biden's death weighed heavily on his decision to run for president.

In other words, Biden brought up [Beau] as an excuse for his actions, and as a way to get investigators to back off. As Biden later complained, the point was immaterial; Biden had classified material going back decades in his possession (illegally), much of it from his time in the Senate, long before either of his sons had any troubles. He kept it well after Beau's death, and as Hur pointed out in the report, was well aware of it and showed some of the material to his biographer long afterward. Beau's death was a bad attempt at playing the victim.

The Free Beacon's Andrew Kerr reports on Biden's inability to remember what year Trump ran for president, what year Beau died, and what year Biden left the Vice Presidency.

These dates are all relevant because Biden was trying to excuse his failure to return classified documents he'd collected like a hoarder for 30 years.

The transcript, a copy of which was reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, shows Biden trying to connect his son Beau Biden's death with his decision to store classified records at the Penn Biden Center. Biden had to consult with his staff to remember the year his son died.

"Even though I'm at Penn, I hadn't walked away from the idea that I may run for office again. But if I ran again, I'd be running for President," Biden told Hur during his Oct. 8 interview. "And, and so what was happening, though--what month did Beau die? Oh, God, May 30th."

After a pause, White House attorney Rachel Cotton said Beau Biden died in 2015.

"Was it 2015 he had died?" Biden said. "It was 2015."

The transcript shows Biden mentioned his son's death unprompted, contradicting the president's claim during a Feb. 8 press conference that Hur raised the subject.

"How in the hell dare he raise that," Biden said.

Immediately after forgetting the year his son died during his interview with Hur, Biden misremembered when President Donald Trump was elected, asking his staff if his predecessor was elected in November 2017.

An unidentified speaker corrected the president, saying Trump was elected in 2016.

"2016. All right. So--why do I have 2017 here?" Biden responded.

At another point in the interview, Biden couldn't remember when he served as vice president. "Well, if it was 2013--when did I stop being vice president?"

Cotton had to remind Biden that he left the vice presidency in 2017.

Handling and Acknowledgment of Classified Documents:

The follow-up interview delves more into specifics, where Biden attempts to clarify his handling of classified documents, insisting on his practice of returning or not retaining documents that were classified, even if found after his vice presidency.

Memory Reliability:

Throughout the first interview, Biden exhibits uncertainty regarding specific instances of managing classified documents, often defaulting to a general practice or lack of recollection.

In other words, he cannot say what happened, but claims "I would usually do x" and suggests that Hur accept that he did x, because that's his general practice.

If Biden weren't suffering from such obvious dementia I would say this is an attempt to lie without actually committing perjury -- he is basically saying "accept that I did x" without ever testifying he did x.

But he can't remember anything, so this is probably real, and not just a ploy.

In contrast, the second day provides instances where Biden more confidently addresses procedures he would follow upon encountering classified materials post-presidency, though still marked by moments of unclear recollection.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

Over the last 25 years, the American military has been thrust into almost every nasty little border war or terrorist resurgence or humanitarian crisis because of the insanity that we are the world's policeman. Never mind that our military success has been steadily decreasing as we behave more and more like some dystopian simulacrum of the world-dominating armed force of 1945.

Sure...we have the military might, but our political masters have hobbled our military by trying to convert them into some sort of civilization-building nanny that is sent into war zones and is told not to fight!

So now we are injecting ourselves into one of the nastiest places on earth...filled with fanatical Islamists intent upon bringing down the West and replacing it with a worldwide Caliphate. Gaza is the proverbial 3rd-World Sh*thole with the bonus of a thoroughly militarized population that has been inculcated with anti-American attitudes from birth.

They also don't care where their rockets go: their own civilians are perfectly acceptable targets for the bloodthirsty savages that make up Hamas. So our personnel will be targets. Whether intentional or accidental doesn't really matter.

Diplomatic source to 'Post': Gaza maritime route was Netanyahu's idea - exclusive

The plan for a maritime route to Gaza via Cyprus to provide humanitarian assistance for Palestinians was initiated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in collaboration with US President Joe Biden, a senior diplomatic source told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday night.

"Netanyahu took the initiative to establish maritime humanitarian aid for the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, in collaboration with the Biden administration,” the source stated.

According to the source, on October 22, two weeks following the war's outbreak, Netanyahu discussed with President Biden the concept of "delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza via the sea, contingent on an Israeli inspection in Cyprus."

Israel's perspective is different than ours. They want Western involvement so that they can have independent verification that their humanitarian efforts are real. If America is overseeing some of those efforts with boots on the ground and ships off the coast, then it is a powerful message to the world.

But the current state of our military suggests that we will not respond in any sensible way to attacks, as evidenced by the hundreds of unanswered attacks on our armed forces in Iraq and Jordan. We simply will be a big fat Western target. And because of the density of Gaza (it is less than 150 square miles), two modern armies will be almost literally a stone's throw from each other, with a bunch of heavily armed terrorists hidden within the civilian population.

That is a situation with tremendous potential for friendly fire incidents, and for Hamas-instigated firefights that seek to draw America into the fight. Israel's military is experienced, but mistakes happen, intelligence can be incomplete, and the fog of war is a very real thing.

A far better plan would be to supply the aide from afar, keep our military out of it, and simply support Israel in its efforts to eradicate Hamas as a fighting entity.

But the Biden/Obama junta has no plan for anything. They are purely reactive, and seemingly driven by competing blocs that are vying for control over policy. Sadly, that policy is the creation of a Palestinian state, which would be catastrophic for Israel, and very possibly the rest of the world, as the fanatical Islamists intent upon our destruction will gain a base, conveniently funded by the West!

Remember what Obama said about Biden..."Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*ck things up."

The Morning Report — 3/12/24

Good morning, kids. As horrendous as the abject disasters of American foreign policy during the Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants and Obama years are, they are sadly not limited to their time on top of the dung heap of their creation. The ideologically-driven incompetence, or incompetent ideology is the product of several generations of navel-gazing ivory tower eggheads whose self-inflating egomania sees American exceptionalism, as embodied in our forefathers and forebears who conceived and actually built this country, as the root cause of the world's problems, especially post 1945.

A glittering jewel of this insanity is a woman by the name of Victoria Nuland. After several decades at Foggy Bottom, she has decided to hang up her cat o'nine tails, leaving behind a slime trail of deceit, corruption and tragically, mounds of dead bodies including a few thousand American servicemen as a result of her and her compatriots desire to shove the world into a globalist meat grinder.

Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland is retiring. It’s not certain to me whether she’s being pushed out of the Biden [junta] because she will be a convenient scapegoat for Ukraine’s imminent defeat or whether she is frustrated that she has not yet provoked a nuclear war with Russia – but that is a moot point really.

She has wreaked her damage.

Over the decades, the sunny-faced state department staffer grew darker and heavier in every sense of the word. She not only spoke about war like it was merely diplomacy by other means, she began to look like she enjoyed the prospect of men and women dying on the battlefield. . .

. . . We are literally watching the hatching of the Third World War on two fronts – Ukraine and the Middle East – because Biden refuses to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin; because Biden won’t consider peace when there are armaments to ship to Ukraine; and because [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden has absolutely no idea what kind of settlement he would like to broker between Israel and its growing number of adversaries.

Diplomacy is dead under the demented and dilapidated Biden largely because people like Nuland have been dictating an aggressive foreign policy that seeks war at every opportunity and doesn’t seem to even contemplate the possibility or wisdom of peace. American presidents could sit down with the worst despots that Soviet tyranny offered but Biden won’t even pick up the phone and chat with Putin – the man with his finger on the largest nuclear arsenal in the world and who is talking about using it if NATO continues to expand and comes closer by the day to deploying troops and to directly engaging with Russia in Ukraine. . .

. . . Under Nuland’s blessing and direction began the endless martial odyssey of Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and just about any real estate where another U.S. military base could be constructed. 

As long as Americans were being killed in foreign lands and coming home in body bags or in pieces, Nuland could pretend that this somehow represented American global hegemony or at least the ascendancy of American ideals. 

Nuland always appeared so cocky, so sure of herself and her mission of permaconflict that she evolved into an exquisitely literal picture of government arrogance. 

Remember how she essentially revealed to the world that the United States was going to blow up the Nord Stream 2 pipeline on Jan. 27, 2022? . . . Did she retire because she knows Ukraine will soon lose a war with Russia that could have been ended with a peace treaty that Biden and NATO did not want? Yes, it might be a tad difficult to argue at the end of this carnage that at least 300,000 Ukrainians might have died but just remember what a glorious opportunity this war was for the defense contractors. 

While David Krayden's defenestration of this bloated pig's record of blood and tears is thorough, I am surprised he omitted Nuland's complicity in what has come to be known as "color revolution." That is, America's penchant for overthrowing duly elected foreign governments because they don't align with our foreign policy interests. One can reasonably make the case that removing Marxists and fools like Salvador Allende or Mohammad Mosaddegh was and is a good thing. The problem is is that our own government is now chock full of the same kind of communists and tyrants that we used to remove, who now have a hard-on to crush governments and movements that are anti-globalist and nationalist in nature (I no longer consider the word nationalist as an epithet).

Looking at the two-year bloodbath that is Ukraine, one of the reasons for Putin's invasion – regardless of his own record of brutality and oppression – was the overthrow of a duly elected pro-Russian government back in 2014 and the installation of a regime that was more in line with that of the American administration at that time, led by none other than the mutt-eating mutt Barack Obama. And one of the key architects of that act of direct interference in the affairs of a foreign government was none other than Victoria Nuland.

Total Marxist psychos, but despite their Tourette's spouting of "neo-con" (as an anti-Jewish epithet) in every other sentence, the reportage about Nuland and her role in the 2014 overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych is spot on. In Ukraine, Nuland and her neocon and liberal-interventionist friends saw the chance to poke Putin in the eye by encouraging violent protests to overthrow Russia-friendly President Yanukovych and put in place a new regime hostile to Moscow.

It's not that Nuland manipulated the media into publishing anti-Yanukovych propaganda. They likely worked directly and eagerly to do so, knowing full well that what they were printing was total bullshit. And the State Department works hand in hand with the CIA. And we all know what happens when propagandist media, the CIA, DOJ and the entire bureaucracy join forces. They rig elections and/or overthrow legitimately elected popular governments that are antithetical to their goals. Hello Trump and 2020. Hell, they openly crowed about it in that Molly Ball essay in Time Magazine.

And now, here we are in 2024, and after America as founded and those of us fighting to restore even a scrap of the Constitutional republic that was, Foggy Bottom's greatest enemy is the State of Israel. Forget the embarrassment of not being able to help Ukraine defeat Putin. While that would be a black mark for Victoria Nuland, perhaps she is about to engineer a swan song and go out on a high note. For her, not the world.

U.S. intelligence agencies are claiming that they “expect” protests to bring down the Israeli government and replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been an obstacle to President Joe Biden’s plans for the Middle East.

The claim emerged in the latest “Annual Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community,” and was published by both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times Monday evening, suggesting a coordinated leak to the media.

Polls suggest that the vast majority of Israelis support Netanyahu’s positions — opposing a Palestinian state; backing the continuation of the war until Hamas’s complete defeat; and preparing for possible war against Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. Polls also indicate that the vast majority of Americans support Netanyahu’s approach to the war — and oppose Biden’s approach, which has sought to appease terror and dissenting left-wing and Muslim-American voters.

You might recall that Obama directly interfered with Israeli elections in a failed attempt to oust Bibi back in 2015. Along with Kenya, Macedonia, Libya, Honduras, Egypt, and of course the United States of America in 2016.

Bibi Netanyahu and now a vast swathe of the Israeli populace now understand that while in times before Obama, American politicians were perhaps at worst misguided in their attempts to solve the unsolvable problem of a Muslim world that seeks to wipe out Israel and all Jews. And that is why Bibi and company are openly defying Biden and will likely go all the way (RIP Eric Carmen) in its attempt to wipe out Hamas.

That of course cannot stand. Not with an election in November where the hardcore Marxist Democrat base is up in arms and Donald Trump might well do the impossible and actually overcome rigged elections and kangaroo courts and return to DC.

I imagine Bibi understands this and is prepared to deal with what Nuland, Foggy Bottom, Langley and Kalorama might hurl at him. Yet again.

Previously Hidden J6 Transcript Released, Proving Trump Authorized 10,000 National Guard Troops for J6

A previously hidden transcript of an interview conducted by a U.S. House of Representatives panel that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol has been revealed, undermining a committee claim.

Anthony Ornato, who was the White House deputy chief of staff during the breach, told the committee that he overheard Mark Meadows, who was then chief of staff, on the phone with Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser. According to the transcript, Mr. Meadows wanted to ensure Ms. Bowser "had everything she needed."

Mr. Meadows "wanted to know if she need[ed] any more guardsmen," Mr. Ornato testified. "And I remember the number 10,000 coming up of, 'The president wants to make sure that you have enough.' You know, 'He is willing to ask for 10,000.' I remember that number. Now that you said it, it reminded me of it."

Ms. Bowder said that "she was all set," Mr. Ornato recalled.

Mr. Ornato was speaking to the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.

The committee said in its final report that it "found no evidence" supporting the idea that former President Donald Trump ordered 10,000 troops to be ready for Jan. 6.

"The former J6 Select Committee apparently withheld Mr. Ornato's critical witness testimony from the American people because it contradicted their pre-determined narrative," Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), who released the transcript, said in a statement.

"Mr. Ornato's testimony proves what Mr. Meadows has said all along, President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down," Mr. Loudermilk, the chairman of the House Administration Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight, added.

Speaking to Fox News, Mr. Meadows previously said, "As many as 10,000 National Guard troops were told to be on the ready by the secretary of defense. That was a direct order from President Trump."

The former acting secretary of defense, Christopher C. Miller, told Vanity Fair that, in a meeting on Jan. 5, 2021, he told President Trump that the Department of Defense was going to provide any number of Guard personnel that Washington officials requested.

President Trump, according to Mr. Miller, responded: "You're going to need 10,000 people." But Mr. Miller told the select committee that he "never ... knew of any plans of that nature."

"There was no direct, there was no order from the president," he later added.

The committee highlighted Mr. Miller's testimony in its final report but did not mention Mr. Ornato's testimony, nor did it include Mr. Miller's previous quote, Mr. Meadows's comment, or President Trump's remarks.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser refused deploy more than a handful of troops, because her constituents hate any kind of law enforcement and she didn't like "the optics:"

The Pentagon has said that Ms. Bowser asked for Guard support for the Jan. 6 rally on Dec. 31, 2020.

Mr. Miller and other defense officials approved the activation of 340 Guard members on Jan. 4, 2021, in response to the request.

The next day, Ms. Bowser confirmed to Mr. Miller and other officials that she did not want any additional Guard personnel to help Washington officers with crowd control or other duties.

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund has said he spoke about asking for Guard assistance ahead of Jan. 6 but that former House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving turned down the plan. Mr. Irving "stated that he was concerned about the 'optics' of having National Guard present and didn't feel that the intelligence supported it," Mr. Sund said at a Senate hearing.

Home rule must be stripped from DC. The experiment failed. The nation's capital cannot be allowed to be CHAZ East just because the residents are pro-crime.

Also debunked: Madison Cornbread's absurd office gossip about Trump reaching from the back seat to wrest the wheel away of presidential limo away from the driver.

The driver himself says this didn't happen.

Of course, this testimony was hidden from the public as well.

Apparently she has not been seen in public for two months, after being hospitalized for ten days. Media and royal obsessives keep asking where she is.

People began questioning whether the picture was real, claiming there were telltale signs of bad editing in Photoshop.

Three media companies pulled the picture, stating that they could not verify that the picture was real.

Later, Kate Middleton took the rap herself, saying she'd merely edited it a little.

But this guy is claiming that the picture of Kate was lifted entirely from a Vogue cover and then inserted in the picture:
