The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"Felt like when you have a flat tire in a car," Boeing 777 passenger, Janet Bumbarger.

Quote II

“These recommendations come from a diverse body of lawyers in private and public practice, academics, and researchers who contributed immense insight, counterpoints and research to get us where we are today,” Washington Supreme Court Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis
Affirmative action, what a great deal!

Quote III

“Justices Ginsburg and Sotomayor stand as two of the most respected women role models, and their commitment to democratic values, especially women’s rights, is unequaled. That’s why I join the Ginsburg family in condemning the choice of honorees this year. I had the privilege of meeting Justice Ginsburg on several occasions, and I strongly doubt she would approve of these awardees,” Barbara Streisand, washed up Bitch.

Big ol' wolf.

A mob of rays and sunfish.

This will definitely take at least second place at the science fair. Though I think it will be beaten out by Becky Fleckman's exhibit, "Magnets Are Our Friends."

Seal catches a ride.

Dude is the pride of his local Dune wargaming club.

Insane high-dive.

Putting out a forest fire.

Rambunctious.

I got all your vegetables.

Monkey agrees -- these river otters are rotten!

Prepare for a Shock: Don LeMon Plays the Race Card, Claims Musk Walked Away From the Would-Be Deal Because LeMon "Doesn't Look Like" Musk

Don LeMon has been demoted and then fired by CNN. He is a proven ratings... what's the opposite of a Juggernaut?

In addition, his diva antics, massively unearned ego, and nastiness offend everyone who works with him or even just near him.

But Musk must have canned him because he's black. Or black and gay.

That must be it, Don LeMon tells People:

PEOPLE: You certainly had an idea that it could all fall apart.

LEMON: The possibility of Elon Musk being unpredictable and erratic, yeah. Of course I knew that. I went into this with my eyes open. I've interviewed many world leaders, presidents to convicts, and no one has been more sensitive or touchy than Elon Musk. And during the interview and during other interviews, he constantly says he doesn't care what people write or say about him. For someone who doesn't care about what people write or say about him, he sure does care about what people write or say about him. He's not used to being held to account. He's not used to having to answer to anyone, especially someone like me who doesn't share his worldview, who doesn't look like him. You know what I'm saying?

Yes we know what you're saying, Don. There isn't a single person who doesn't now what you're saying.

You're blaming your latest humiliating failure, in a career made up of nothing but humiliating failures, on racism and homophobia.

Maybe it's age-ism, Don? Because you are definitely aging like salad. You're starting to look like Joan Rivers.

The New York Post reported that the deal did not break down over LeMon's race, which, let's face it, is "mostly white."

Their sources say it broke down over LeMon's absurd contract demands.

Don Lemon demanded the sun, the moon and the stars from the SpaceX boss -- before being unceremoniously dumped this week, The Post has learned.

The ex-CNN anchor sent over an astronomical wish list to Elon Musk during contract talks to host a show on the billionaire's social media platform X -- including a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of an $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company, and the right to approve any changes in X policy as it relates to news content, according to a document reviewed by The Post.

Dude, you're an absolute non-talent. Your ratings are lower than mine. And you want a piece of Tesla??!!

LeMon keeps changing the reasons for his termination. Now it's that Musk was super-keen on having this talent-vacuum and anti-charisma nobody with Dead Eyes attend the Consumer Electronics Show (a convention where tech companies exhibit their wares):

In an interview with veteran tech journalist Kara Swisher on Friday, Lemon claimed they held discussions over the summer in which the company threatened to fire him if he did not attend the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.

CES, which was held earlier this year between Jan. 7 and 10, is one of the most highly anticipated events on the tech calendar as companies including X flock to the show in order to schmooze advertisers.

A spokesperson for X called Lemon's claim "a disingenuous lie."

John Sexton watched the interview. He says that watching LeMon is an "uncomfortable" experience.

I don't think he's letting out any secrets there. I think we've known that about LeMon for a while.

After asking Musk about his admitted use of (prescribed) ketamine as an alternative to anti-depressants -- with LeMon trying to suggest he's a druggie who shouldn't be allowed to run his own companies -- LeMon got nastier:

I think the conversation might have recovered from that but Lemon's next series of questions was about the Great Replacement Theory. There was an interesting exchange for a minute or two but it ends with Lemon basically accusing Musk of agreeing with neo-Nazis who have gone on shooting sprees. And at that point (just over 30 minutes in) Musk is clearly starting to regret agreeing to the interview. "Don, the only reason I'm doing this interview is because you're on the X platform and you asked for it. Otherwise I would not do this interview."

And things got worse from there. Lemon pushed Musk on the idea that X isn't doing enough content moderation. Musk argued that X removes content which is illegal but, beyond that, he believes in freedom of speech. Lemon provided Musk with examples of a few "hateful" posts which he said had been up for a while. "Are they illegal?" Musk asked?

"They're not illegal but they're hateful and they can lead to violence," Lemon replied.

"So, Don, you love censorship, is what you're saying," Musk said.

No, I don't love censorship," Lemon replied. He added, "I believe in moderation but..."

"Moderation is a propaganda word for censorship," Musk interjected. "Look if something is illegal, we'll take it down. But if it's not illegal then we're putting our thumb on the scale or being censors."

"You're putting your thumb on the scale for moderating hate speech? I mean, you don't put out child pornography," Lemon said, sounding confused.

"It's illegal," Musk said.

"Some people would say that's considered censorship," Lemon replied as if Musk wasn't being perfectly consistent with what he's said.

There you go: LeMon says that blocking child porn is "censorship."

Is This Something?

Allegedly, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of James Bond.

If you're wondering who that is, join the club. He played "Kick Ass," appeared as one of the main characters in the first Godzilla, played one of the assassins in Bullet Train, and played Quicksilver in the Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron.

He's also in the upcoming Spider-Man Universe Without Spider-Man movie, Kraven the Hunter.

I don't see him as Bond but I also didn't see Craig whatever as Bond, then he did a good job in the first one. (And subsequently dragged the ensuing movies down to his woke level.)

It appears as though the search for the next James Bond is over.

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered the role of a lifetime as the "shaken, not stirred" martini-sipping secret agent, sources told The Sun.

The "Bullet Train" actor, 33, is expected to sign on the dotted line this week, the outlet adds.

EON Productions, which makes 007 films, is said to be preparing to start shooting later this year.

"Bond is Aaron's job, should he wish to accept it," an insider told the outlet. "The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back."

"As far as EON is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement," the source added.

Eh, I don't care. I still haven not bothered to see No Time to Die. This is the first James Bond movie I've skipped since I was... I dunno, seven years old?

The ADL, which seems to have as its mission the poisoning of American opinion against Jews, once again demands illegal government censorship of citizen speech, this time demanding "regulation" of dangerous right-wing memes in... video games.

The Hill pushed for censorship:

But these efforts to rein in social media overlook the gargantuan online gaming industry. Video games comprise the largest entertainment industry by far, grossing almost $200 billion in revenue in 2022 (more than the music and film industries combined). Today, online gaming sites offer far more than entertainment -- they are social platforms that channel user communication and enable networking and community building.

Online games should be part of the regulatory discussion concerning digital platforms -- but they seldom are.

Discussions of harms in gaming historically have focused on fears about the content of the games themselves. However, the social environment of games is what actually poses significant threats to players' safety and well-being. Exposure to hateful speech is routine while doxxing -- exposing someone's private identifying information -- and physical threats are also common. Of acute concern is mounting evidence that extremists and other bad actors take advantage of the preexisting toxic gamer culture to disseminate their hateful ideologies and unleash hate-based harassment.

And the ADL pushed that article:

ADL
@ADL

As digital social spaces, online games should be regulated to address hate & extremism. It’s vital for Congress to examine extremist radicalization in these spaces & we are grateful to @RepLoriTrahan for leading this effort. An important piece to read:

Pedro Pascal advised Gina Carano to give in to the trans terrorists and "just put #transrights in your bio, and then they'll leave you alone."

Just bend the knee to your tormentors, bullies, and persecutors. Just do what they demand.

Supreme Court Lifts Stay on Enforcement of Texas Law Criminalizing Illegal Border-Crossing

The Texas law makes violation of the country's immigration laws a felony, and authorizes Texas state personnel to arrest border-jumpers and sentence them to jail.

The law had been stayed -- blocked from taking effect -- as a lawsuit challenging it works its way through the courts.

The Supreme Court had issued a stay, but now, by a 6-3 majority, cancels that stay and allows the law to be enforced.

Note the case has not been decided yet. This is about whether the law will be blocked from operating or allowed to operate before the case is decided.

There's a tangly history here: the lower court, presided over by a Hawaiian judge, ruled the law unconstitutional, but then the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals overruled that judge. Biden appealed to the Supreme Court.

Texas can finally begin to enforce its new state law against illegal immigration -- but not after a head-spinning 24 hours. Late yesterday, CBS News reported that the Supreme Court allowed a stay on enforcement of SB4 to lapse. Within an hour, the court then reinstated its stay, only more broadly -- a signal that the court might look disfavorably on Texas' arguments.

But just like that, a 6-3 court lifted its stay, this time for good ... we think. Maybe!

...

Actually, this lifts a stay on another stay. The Fifth Circuit accepted an appeal of a lower-court ruling that rejected the law as an unconstitutional infringement of the Supremacy Clause. They then stayed their own ruling while the Biden administration appealed to the Supreme Court, which extended the stay while it considered the emergency request to vacate the stay. Yesterday, that temporary stay expired, only to have Justice Samuel Alito issue a new stay ... on the stay.

The Hill only quotes the shitlibs who dissented. They claim that enforcing our immigration laws will cause "confusion."

The three liberal justices chastised the majority's decision to put the law into effect.

"Today, the Court invites further chaos and crisis in immigration enforcement," wrote Justice Sonia Sotomayor, joined by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Justice Elena Kagan dissented separately.

In defending the law, Texas argued the state has a constitutional right to defend itself and the Biden administration was unwilling or unable to defend the border.

"Plaintiffs urge the Court to rush straight to the merits of their claims," the state responded in court papers. "But these cases do not belong in federal court at all--even apart from the fact that no state court has yet had an opportunity to construe any provision of S.B.4."

Ex-Google Employees: The Brain-Damaged Woke AI Is No Mistake. The AI Is Accurately Promoting the Mentally-Ill Worldview of the Google Megacorporation.

The Free Press:

The world has been horrified--and amused--by the extreme ideological bent of Gemini, Google's much-hyped new AI tool, which the company launched last month.

But Shaun Maguire, who was a partner at Google Ventures, the company's investment wing, from 2016 until 2019, had a different reaction.

"I was not shocked at all," he told The Free Press. "When the first Google Gemini photos popped up on my X feed, I thought to myself: Here we go again. And: Of course. Because I know Google well. Google Gemini's failures revealed how broken Google's culture is in such a visually obvious way to the world. But what happened was not a one-off incident. It was a symptom of a larger cultural phenomenon that has been taking over the company for years."

Maguire is one of multiple former Google employees who told The Free Press that the Gemini fiasco stems from a corporate culture that prioritizes the ideology of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over excellence and good business sense.

These ex-Googlers, as they're called, said that they were discouraged from hiring white, male employees; that DEI "is part of every single thing" in the company; and that engineers even had to list the "DEI impact" for the tiniest of software fixes. All of them agreed that the Silicon Valley giant entered the artificial intelligence race with an upper hand but has squandered it by cowing to an activist faction in the company that's more committed to advancing social justice than making world-class products.

....

And earlier this month, Google co-founder Sergey Brin told a room full of entrepreneurs in San Francisco of Gemini: "We haven't fully understood why it leans left in many cases. . . that's not our intention."

LOL.

But the ex-staffers we spoke to said they know exactly how the technology became so biased.

"The model is just a reflection of the people who trained it," one former AI researcher at Google Brain, who asked not to be named, told us. "It's just a series of decisions that humans have made."

...

David Kiferbaum, a Google business manager who worked at the company from 2015 to 2023, said he experienced pressure to recruit minorities after Damore was fired. He said he began hearing things like "We're really looking for diverse candidates for this role," which he took to mean "a non-white, a non-hetero" applicant.

"I was like, 'Whoa, I can't believe this person is saying this out loud,' " he said.

Maguire worked for Google Ventures, a division that invested in other tech companies. His employees demanded he hire or promote only women and minorities -- and 25% of the "workers" at his division threatened to quit if he didn't.

He duly hired a "smart but unqualified" woman.

But that was only the beginning of the DEI demands:

"Meanwhile, over the next two years, I started to notice the dynamics of our team change. Instead of highly experienced founders and seasoned investors, young people from minority backgrounds were coming in with virtually no investment experience whatsoever," Maguire recalled. "In this time, Ventures promoted a 25-year-old black woman to investment partner--the same position I held at the time--who had not yet made a single investment decision in her entire career."

When asked for comment, a Google Ventures spokesperson told The Free Press: "These claims from Sequoia Capital Partner Shaun Maguire regarding his time at GV from 2016--2019 are baseless and factually inaccurate. GV's decisions around hiring and promotion are solely based on merit and ability."

The Media Research Center just released a report noting the "41 times" Google has interfered in US elections since 2008.

Google has been getting away with election interference for at least 16 years, and it is showing no signs of stopping.

MRC Free Speech America researchers compiled 41 times Google was caught interfering in U.S. elections, beginning in 2008, intensifying in 2016 and continuing into 2024. MRC researchers found carefully crafted studies and numerous reports (from 2008 through February 2024) that have consistently demonstrated the tech behemoth's election meddling.

MRC founder and President Brent Bozell highlighted just how dangerous Google's election interference is. "Google's massive and deliberate efforts to interfere in U.S. elections for the past 16 years is unacceptable and the biggest threat to American democracy today," said Bozell.

Over the years, Google has repeatedly used its power to help push the most liberal candidates to electoral victory while targeting their opponents. In 2008, the company used a light touch helping then-Senator Barack Hussein Obama (D-IL), its favored primary candidate, and undermining his opponent, then-Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY).

But after Democrats took a devastating loss in the 2016 election, evidence collected by MRC shows that election interference became part of its mission. As one Google executive let slip in a secretly recorded interview, the company was working to actively "prevent[] the next Trump situation."

...

Below are some of the highlights of MRC's findings.

In 2008, Google endorsed the radical, young Sen. Obama and censored support for Sen. Clinton. Journalist Simon Owens reported at the time that the tech giant suspended the accounts of writers who wrote pro-Clinton blogs critical of Obama. "[N]early all of [the censored bloggers] had three things in common," Owens wrote. "Most were pro-Hillary Clinton blogs, all were anti-Barack Obama, and several were listed on justsaynodeal.com, an anti-Obama website."

Google allowed users to smear then-leading GOP candidate for president Rick Santorum. Google refused to correct a "Google bomb" that smeared Santorum. Google "bombing" used to be a way for users to manipulate Google's algorithm and associate websites and names with undesirable search terms. Google Search would connect the sites and terms if enough websites placed the same hyperlink over the same term or terms. The Big Tech company previously claimed that it had ended the popular internet pranks and had even corrected the issue when it impacted the White House's webpage for Obama. But when Santorum's team brought the issue to Google's attention, the platform flat-out refused to resolve it, once again favoring Obama.

In 2016, Google employed both its algorithm and its "partners" in futile attempts to push Clinton over the finish line. One study by SourceFed found that Google's algorithm excluded potentially damaging autofill results for searches inquiring about Clinton's alleged crimes and possible indictment during her scandalous tenure as Secretary of State. Google hid her flaws and instead suggested that users search for things like "Hillary Clinton crime reform" and "Hillary Clinton India" but did not do the same for other contentious searches for candidates like Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. The platform also worked with "partners" to bolster Latino votes, in the hopes of propping up Clinton, according to internal emails uncovered by then-Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson. A leaked email chain showed one employee explaining how Google made a "silent donation" by working with its partner Voto Latino to pay for Latino voters to get rides to the polls in "key states." The tech giant also "helped them create ad campaigns to promote the rides." These and similar methods of election interference and censorship likely contributed to the 2.6 million votes that Google shifted in 2016, according to data scientist and research psychologist Robert Epstein.

Elon Musk, who knows about censorship as the owner of Twitter, says Google has interfered "thousands" of times:

This article understates the magnitude of the problem -- Google interferes to help Democrats thousands of times every election season!

This is to be expected when their censorship (aka "Trust & Safety") teams are have far left political views. https://t.co/y36yzdzIUQ

-- Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 18, 2024

Even the French are noticing that Google's search results are terrible. LeMonde:

Regarding Google, are the search results really becoming worse and worse?

For years, internet users have complained about the quality of the responses presented by the world's most used search engine...

The Mountain View firm is apparently trying to rebuff the claims of critics who, for months and even years, ask why the results offered [by Google] are less and less good. [A "journalist" from NBC wondered, on February 24th, if "anyone had had enough and quit Google."

Has anybody finally had enough and quit Google search because of how bad it's gotten recently? Are you finding another search better?
-- Kevin Collier (@kevincollier) February 24, 2024

On Reddit, one finds more posts by users wondering why their search results seem worse than they were before. "There was a time when one had the impression that Google was magic," wrote The Atlantic in September, looking back to a time which seems to be over.

Trump Files Suit Against George Stephanopolous and Disney Frontgroup ABC "News"

This is the way.

Former President Donald Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against ABC News and George Stephanopoulos, claiming his reputation was tarnished by the anchor saying multiple times on-air that Trump had been found liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

Trump filed the lawsuit in federal court in Miami on Monday over a viral interview between US Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Stephanopoulos on "This Week" on March 10, according to The Hill.

The suit takes aim at Stephanopoulos' questioning for saying Trump had been found "liable for rape" when a jury in a Manhattan civil case last year only found Trump liable for sexual abuse under New York law.

...

In a 20-page complaint, Trump's attorney Alejandro Brito, accused Stephanopoulos of making the false statements "with actual malice or with a reckless disregard for the truth." The lawsuit claims the statements were distributed widely to third parties and repeated.

...

"Indeed, the jury expressly found that Plaintiff did not commit rape and, as demonstrated below, Defendant George Stephanopoulos was aware of the jury's finding in this regard yet still falsely stated otherwise," Brito continued.

...

ABC News declined to comment, while a rep for George Stephanopoulos did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Remember, Trump was just hit with an absurdly high judgment for having supposedly "defamed" fame chaser E. Jean Carroll by denying his own guilt.

Will NY courts decide that leftwing propagandists can state as fact that he's a rapist, in defiance of the jury decision they take so much pride in? Does the law of defamation only work to protect liberals in NY?

That's rhetorical, of course.

In related Trump news, mentally-ill shut-in Keith Olbermann openly wished for Trump's assassination on Twitter.

Keith Olbermann has sparked outrage by saying "there's always the hope" that former President Donald Trump will be treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated.

The former MSNBC host was reacting on X to a video clip reposted by President Biden's campaign HQ in which the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said Lincoln and Andrew Jackson were treated the worst in their lifetimes -- while complaining that "nobody comes close to Trump."

"Trump says he has been treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated," the Biden campaign account archly pointed out.

Olbermann responded: "There's always the hope."

...

"Nothing to see here... Just Keith Olbermann openly wishing d*ath upon Trump," Libs of TikTok wrote.

Many argued that Olbermann should be booted from X for potentially violating the platform's terms of service, with some tagging owner Elon Musk.

"This account should be permanently suspended," one critic with 83,000 followers fumed.

Apparently the threat of being banned from the service he's addicted to worried the mentally-ill bent man, because he deleted the tweet and then lied about its clear meaning.

Olbermann appears to have deleted the message on his X account, which has more than 984,000 followers. He responded to the backlash by saying his "hope" was about Trump being treated badly.

"I'm hoping Trump's right, that he IS treated worse than Lincoln. As I've said for 9 years: THAT HE'S CONVICTED, THEN DIES IN PRISON," he wrote.

I know nobody with an IQ greater than a halibut's has believed @FoxNews since 1996 but even from their whores this is idiotic

The RT clearly shows I'm hoping Trump's right, that he IS treated worse than Lincoln. As I've said for 9 years: THAT HE'S CONVICTED, THEN DIES IN PRISON pic.twitter.com/pBRznpLNvD

-- Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) March 18, 2024

Trump should sue this shut-in, too. If not for this threat -- I'm not sure it can construed as a threat -- then for Olbermann's many libelous claims in the past.

In more Trump legal news: Trump has joined his co-defendants in appealing "Judge" McAfee's cowardly and corrupt decision to let the politician he donated to remain on the Trump prosecution.

"President Trump and seven defendants have jointly filed a motion requesting the Court to grant a certificate of immediate review of its Order denying dismissal of the case and disqualification of Fulton County DA Willis. The motion notes that the Court found that Willis' actions created an appearance of impropriety and an "odor of mendacity" that lingers in this case, but it nonetheless refused to dismiss the case or disqualify her. The motion further notes that the Court found Georgia case law lacks controlling precedent for the standard for disqualification of a prosecuting attorney for forensic misconduct. For these reasons among others, the Court's Order is ripe for pretrial appellate review."

Trump has also notified the New York Courts that he cannot free up $460+ million for "Tish" James' rogue prosecution. The law of New York states that he has to deliver over this half-billion dollars just to appeal the ruling forcing him to pay.

Legal experts are weighing in on Donald Trump's options after attorneys for the former president said he has not been able to secure a $464 million appeal bond he needs following a New York civil fraud judgment against him.

Trump's lawyers wrote in a Monday court filing that obtaining the nearly half-a-billion appeal was a "practical impossibility under the circumstances presented."

David Gelman, a criminal defense attorney and a former deputy district attorney, called the judgment a "unicorn." He argued that the judge should give Trump a lot more leeway to satisfy the bond because "not even the richest man in the world has $464 million lying around."

A New York Appeals Court judge denied Trump's request late last month to delay payment of the $464 million owed as a result of the lawsuit brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, but said he would temporarily allow the 2024 front-runner and his sons to continue running their business during the appeals process.

A New York Appeals Court judge previously ruled that the former president must post a bond for the full amount of the judgment and that an independent director of compliance will be appointed.

Finally: Nigel Farrage has been making an issue about non-prince Harry's emigration to the US. He wants to see Harry's visa applications, to find out if he lied about his history of drug use. Harry admits to using illegal drugs in his tawdry tell-some book Spare.

Farrage interviewed Trump and asked about this. Trump indicated that it's possible he'd look into the matter.

Former President Donald Trump has once again hinted that if he is re-elected president, Prince Harry may face deportation from the US if he is found to have lied about his drug use on his visa paperwork.

GB News' Nigel Farage asked Trump on Tuesday whether Prince Harry should have "special privileges" if it's discovered he lied on his visa application -- as the royal's immigration status has become embroiled in a legal battle after he admitted to taking illegal drugs in his memoir.

"No. We'll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied, they'll have to take appropriate action," Trump is quoted as saying in a preview of the interview.

Trump sat down in an interview with Nigel Farage of GN News, which will air Tuesday. GB News

When pressed on whether "appropriate action" might mean deportation, Trump did not provide a clear answer.

"Oh, I don't know. You'll have to tell me. You just have to tell me. You would have thought they would have known this a long time ago," the former president said.

...

Trump, 77, has previously made comments about the Duke of Sussex's immigration status, warning that if he is re-elected in 2024, Prince Harry would be "on his own" following his "unforgivable" betrayal of Queen Elizabeth II.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Oxon Hill, Md., last month, Trump criticized President Biden's administration for being "too gracious" to the Sussexes ever since Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, moved to California in 2020.

"I wouldn't protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That's unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me," the former president told the Express, as he claimed Biden's administration had given the immigrant special privileges.

So, drug use generally makes you ineligible for a visa, but the Department of Homeland Security argues -- pitifully -- that maybe Harry was just lying in his book.

These are the people "protecting" the US.

Biden Administration Plots to Save The Iranian Terror-Proxy Hamas By Refusing to Sell Israel Arms and Ammunition

The US is now a sponsor of terror, thanks to Obama/Biden.

President Biden, keeping Prime Minister Netanyahu at arm's length, is reportedly considering leaving Israel short of the armaments it needs to fight Hamas. Such a politically based move risks harming America’s global interests.

By Sunday, Israel must tell America that it is complying with international restrictions on arms supplies, including by facilitating ample humanitarian assistance to Gaza, the national security adviser, Jacob Sullivan, told reporters Monday, adding that it is yet to do so.

Meanwhile, a Jerusalem official noted a recent reduction of American arms supplies to Israel, ABC news reports. The Israel Defense Force is running out of 155 mm artillery shells and 120 mm tank shells, as well as sensitive guidance equipment, the official said.

Last week, seven Democrats, led by Senators Van Hollen, Merkley, and Sanders, alleged that Israel is violating section 620I of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. They urged Mr. Biden to limit offensive arms to the IDF.

The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

South Carolina Representative Adam Morgan stood up in the state house and made the apparently revolutionary statement that he should listen to the people who elected him, rather than the lobbyists and the lifers in the legislature. And as a delicious bonus simply and concisely destroyed the idea of central planning.

But we are so far removed from the core principles of our republic that another representative can stand up in the same state legislative body and say that his constituents are too dumb to run things, and he wasn't shouted down by the other representatives! This is elitism in a nutshell.

Central planning rarely works. Adam Smith's invisible hand...the billions of individual decisions that collectively comprise an economy is the only rational way to direct our resources. That means limited power and influence by our government over the lives of the citizens it serves, and the elitist attitudes of those who are drawn to government simply cannot abide that. The good people of Adam Morgan's district understand that, and elected Mr. Morgan to push back the tide of corruption and profligate spending.

"The will of the people." That sounds quite simple, yet it is a powerful and incorruptible thing. How does one coerce this representative? He has publicly stated that he will follow the desires of his constituents, so bribery, blackmail, or any of the other techniques that seem to be wildly successful with many public officials in America. To change his vote, one needs to change the opinions of the voters who put him in office. And that is as it should be.

Mr. Morgan has announced his intention to run for Congress in SC's 4th district. The incumbent seems to be a fan of DEI, and hopefully that will be enough to sink his reelection campaign. We need hundreds of Mr. Morgans at every political level to beat back the progressive goal of a communitarian America that destroys the individual, and raises the concepts of race, ethnicity, sex, and a host of other lunacies above the simple idea of the uniqueness of each American.

Regardless of his future success in politics, Mr. Morgan has divined the secret to energizing a disgruntled and beaten down electorate. He listens to what they have to say and seems to do what they want him to do.

Revolutionary indeed!

The Morning Report — 3/19/24

brownhitlershutup.jpg

Good morning, kids. There can never be a national emergency or crisis situation, be it a war, civil unrest or a plague, when it is permissible for the government to take away our right of free speech. It, along with the Second Amendment, are the one-two punch intended as the firewalls that are or were supposed to protect us from tyranny. And yet that is exactly what is being debated right now in the Supreme Court, specifically concerning that bit about "plague." And the legal eagles that are reading the tea leaves based on the justices comments are not exactly exuding strength and confidence that the First Amendment will prevail.

[Justice Kentanji Brown-25] Jackson had earlier presented a hypothetical situation in which social media platforms were allowing a dangerous trend to circulate in which children were encouraged to jump out of windows “at increasing elevations.” She asked whether government authorities could not “encourage social media platforms to take down the information that is instigating this problem.”

Aguiñaga suggested that the government could use the “bully pulpit” to push back against the content of the information, but could not call the social media platforms to encourage them, or coerce them, to take down the information.

Jackson objected, saying that it was not enough to say that the government could post its own speech. There were situations, she suggested, in which the government could “encourage or require this kind of censorship” necessary for public safety.

To say "just fucking wow" in reaction to this, considering what we know the anti-American left are by bitter experience is a waste of breath. Remember that this is someone who, at her confirmation hearing couldn't articulate the definition of a woman.

Meh, not so much couldn't but wouldn't, as to do so would make her the instrument by which the mass forced psychosis of transsexualism would've been exposed for all to see. In fact, had Marsha Blackburn (IIRC she was the one who sort of cornered Brown 25 on this) gone just a step further, she could've twisted her into knots trying to defend the continued necessity of the 19th Amendment and really caused heads to explode, but I guess that was expecting too much even for someone who I consider one of the few GOP Senate stalwarts.

In any case, logic, reason and tradition should – should – dictate that even a plague, real or in this case as we now know, the intentionally hyped fear of a plague, does not allow the quashing of the First Amendment, even and really especially in cases where the citizenry, scientists, medical professionals and real journalists raise serious doubts as to the government's official story about all the aspects of the alleged "emergency."

The bitter irony here is that even this government's own ideologically-driven, inept bureaucracy, the CDC, which hyped and lied about the origin, cause, and dangers of the disease, ditto the effective treatments and the snake oil that was the vaccines, finally admitted that what was supposed to be a humanity-ending Andromeda strain strained only their own credibility. That is, it was merely a worse-than-usual flu, that commonly available, cheap therapeutics like ivermectin and HCQ were indeed effective, masking, lockdown social distancing and the much ballyhooed vaccines and multiple boosters were worse than useless, and that our own government in the form of mini-Mengele Fauci funded and helped the Chi-Coms create and perhaps unleash this Franken-virus.

Even more bitterly ironic is the fact that the government went after anyone and everyone who challenged their narrative to the point of stripping doctors and researchers of their licenses to practice medicine. Which is why this case has come to the Supreme Court in the first place!

But putting COVID aside, the estimable Margot Cleveland made this cromulent observation, which pace my aforementioned logic, reason and tradition should all by itself rule in favor of the First Amendment:

[Tweeting on "X"] Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland called the government’s response “horrible” for three reasons. “1) because an emergency doesn’t trump 1st amendment,” 2) it happened with elections, 3) it happened with Hunter Biden.

Federalist Executive Editor Joy Pullmann reported last summer that “the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a federal agency, set up a private entity to ban and throttle election-related online speech Democrats dislike.”

“Much of the information choked by this algorithmic censorship operation is true, such as the legitimacy of Hunter Biden’s laptop,” Pullmann wrote.

The federal government also sought to suppress information during the 2020 election implicating the Democrats’ presidential nominee in his son’s potentially criminal overseas business schemes. . .

. . . Biden-appointed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson asked if the government conceded whether platforms were coerced into speech censorship.

“I’m interested in your view that the context doesn’t change the First Amendment principles,” Brown said. “I understood our First Amendment jurisprudence to require heightened scrutiny of government restrictions of speech but not necessarily a total prohibition when you’re talking about a compelling interest of the government to ensure, for example, that the public has accurate information in the context of a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic.”

Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University law professor and frequent Fox News legal analyst, called the question on X “chilling for free speech advocates.”

As I've been writing over the past few Morning Report editorials, it's not about speech or words per se; it's about who gets to decide what speech is acceptable, what isn't and what happens to those who violate the rules laid down by whoever the gatekeepers-du-jour happen to be. And not just about hypotheticals regarding trends "encouraging kids to jump out of windows." As an aside, this steers us into the debate about the censorship of TikTok, which is a ChiCom tool that is being used to brainwash America's youth into everything from swallowing Tide Pods to rallying in favor of slaughtering Jews in Israel and right here at home.

Like everything else, the "cure" proposed by government seems to be far worse than the problem itself, seemingly setting up Patriot Act 2, Internal Security Boogaloo. When Donald Trump and Titty-Caca AOC both agree that what's being proposed is bad, it kind of makes you sit up and take notice.

But Psaki-Psircling back to Murthy, aside from the now in-your-face, naked will to power of the anti-American Left and those who support it for fun and profit, what the government is seeking in winning this case is having the veneer of legitimacy in openly demanding that any voices contra its own be squelched.

As of right now, they have a propaganda industrial complex that will eagerly do their bidding automatically, or with a nod and a wink. Still, it's not 100% effective since much of the internet as well as talk radio to greater or lesser extent is beyond their reach because of that pesky First Amendment. Brown-25 and other two Marxists are for sure a lock. The problem with the Roberts court is not only primarily Roberts but the mercurial and unpredictable Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Coney-Island.

Outrageously, the government claimed its purported right to speech would be under threat should the court side with the plaintiffs — a right it acknowledged is not constitutional but part of “democratic governance.”

It lamented it would be subjected to “sprawling audits” if the standards in the case held and it is subjected to oversight and accountability when it threatens our most basic rights.

Our ruling regime, that is, played the victim. . .

. . . Roberts, for example, questioned whether the government was monolithic, insinuating multiple agencies might have different views, diluting its coercive ability. He asked if a hypothetical “We encourage you to take it down” message from a government official constitutes coercion.

Kavanaugh alluded multiple times to the idea government frequently challenges traditional media the same way it does social-media companies — to sit on or correct stories — without it rising to the level of a First Amendment case.

Barrett seemed to question the clarity of the plaintiffs’ position altogether.

Witnessing oral arguments from inside the room, I thought Aguiñaga was put on his back foot, conceding that if the court took issue with the injunction’s terms or breadth, the plaintiffs would accept narrow tailoring but pleading it “has to say something in our favor on the merits.”

If the court does not, we can kiss what remains of our First Amendment goodbye.

Go long on smoke signals and oatmeal cans with string, I guess. But Trump said "bloodbath!"

Daily Tech News 19 March 2024

Top Story

  • Ars Technica violated Betteridge's Law (any headline phrased as a question can be answered with no) and the First Rule of the Internet (never read the comments) with a single article: Is TikTok's parent company an agent of the Chinese state? (Ars Technica)

Yes, they say, but only because if Bytedance executives refuse to comply the communists will murder their families.

Which is accurate but would read better if you elided the "but only".

Oh, and the first comment simply reads, Yes.

Now, whether the proposed legislation is a good idea is another thing entirely; the very worst legislation often comes with massive bipartisan support, because it benefits them, not you.

But doing something about TikTok seems necessary.

You no doubt remember that James Biden's favorite method of laundering money into Joe Biden's bank accounts was to claim that the money he wired over -- which has been proven to be the proceeds his own deals with the Chinese -- was merely a "repayment" for a previous "loan" Joe Biden had given James Biden.

But Hunter Biden's "business" partner, who acted as an accountant for Joe Biden, could not recall any "loans" Biden ever made to his family members.

From JustTheNews:

One of the key revelations from the interview is, that while he was in business with Hunter Biden, Schwerin did accounting work for Joe Biden at no expense. Schwerin told the committee because of his work, he had access to Joe Biden's bank accounts "through 2017."

"And then when you were compiling all of the documents for Vice President Biden, did he ever give any loans, that you can recall?" committee investigators asked, according to the transcript reviewed by Just the News.

"Not -- when I was compiling the documents, not that I recall," Schwerin answered.

And your accountant would of course know about any "loans" you'd made.

Are short-shorts back?

On March 1, the women's clothing line posted a series of images of its micro shorts line on the Free People Instagram account.

"We are wearing micro shorts this season. Link in bio to shop the styles," the post read.

Over the past month, several Instagram users piled on the post and the product, frequently mocking the absurd size and tightness of the short jeans.

...

The Free People website features 51 different "micro bottoms" products including pants, shorts, skirts, sets, swim bottoms, sleep and lounge, and jumpsuits and rompers. Sizes ranged from XS to XL with prices ranging from $30 to about $400.

A similar style of "short shorts" for men was popularized in 2021 following a Men's Health magazine article that predicted they would gain popularity in the summer among fitness enthusiasts.

The Guardian is soliciting Very Sad Stories from its mentally-ill cat-hoarding readers about how "climate change has affected your relationships."

Ah yes -- a million lonely angry miserable women, all because of "climate change."

Inside Edition gives Joe Biden's "boat anchor" shoes a positive review. I'm sure the media would equally flack for a Republican.

Trump's million propaganda media concern trolls would never, ever use dangerous, provocative words like bloodbath!

Gaslight Media Floods Country With Disinformation About a "Bloodbath"

The Bee:

babylonbeelandslide.jpg

I've put this off all day, trying to think of something clever to say about it.

I couldn't think of anything clever to say. It is what it is: The "American" media is a hostile foreign psyops machine, blasting us with Tokyo Rose propaganda 24/7/365.

Trump said that if he isn't elected, Biden will permit China to build duty-free cars in Mexico and import them into the US, driving US factories out of business. A "bloodbath," he said it would be.

The evil enemy-of-the-people media all pushed the disinformation that Trump was saying there would be a "bloodbath" of political violence if he isn't re-elected (for the second time).

The gaslight media is like a heroin junkie -- everything they say has the agenda of getting you to loan them money for heroin. No matter what you're talking about, they hijack the conversation into talk about a "loan" so they can "get some resumes printed" and "get back on their feet."

And you know what they really mean is "give me money so I can go to the park and buy some heroin."

It just never stops. The media are obsessive and single-minded like drug addicts.

And the rest of us are getting very sick of our lying, thieving junkies.

Trump slams "Fake News Media" for "bloodbath" lies, "They fully understood...I was...referring to imports"

Former President Donald Trump criticizes mainstream media for lying about his 'bloodbath' comment, asserting it was about Biden's policies impacting the auto industry, not violence.

Trump used the term "bloodbath" in reference to the decline of the U.S. auto industry under Biden's policies, particularly the electric car mandate.

He accused the media and Democrats of misconstruing his words, suggesting they knew he was discussing economic impacts.

Trump emphasized that his re-election would lead to a resurgence in U.S. auto manufacturing.

...

Trump argued that his remark was taken out of context, explaining that he used 'bloodbath" metaphorically to describe the adverse effects of Biden's policies on the automobile sector, including the importation practices and the electric car mandate. This, Trump suggests, is leading to a significant decline in the industry--a sentiment he claims is shared by the United Auto Workers, albeit not their leadership.

NBC Regime Media: Biden Is "Angry and Anxious" About His Failed Campaign for "Re" Election

How bad must it be, for the most Regime of all Regime Media to report this?

President Joe Biden was seething.

In a private meeting at the White House in January, allies of the president had just told him that his poll numbers in Michigan and Georgia had dropped over his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Both are battleground states he narrowly won four years ago, and he can't afford any backsliding if he is to once again* defeat Donald Trump. He began to shout and swear, a lawmaker familiar with the meeting said.

* Citation needed

He believed he had been doing what was right, despite the political fallout, he told the group, according to the lawmaker.

Asked about the episode, Andrew Bates, a White House spokesman, said: "President Biden makes national security decisions based on the country's national security needs alone -- no other factor."

LOL. That's why he keeps slamming Israel and visiting Muslim enclaves in Michigan, huh?

Biden's chafing at his persistently-low poll numbers.

...

History suggests it will be tough for him to recover. Biden's 38% approval rating at this stage in the calendar is lower than that of the last three presidents who went on to lose re-election: Trump (48%), George H.W. Bush (39%) and Jimmy Carter (43%), according to Gallup survey data.

Like Obama, Biden thinks he just isn't appreciated enough by American ingrates.

Biden has long believed that he isn't getting sufficient credit for an economy that has created 15 million new jobs. Looking to reach distracted voters who may be tuning in, he told his speechwriters before the State of the Union address to tone down some of the lofty rhetoric and plainly lay out what he's done, a person familiar with speech preparations said.

Biden really wants to get out there and tell his Old Man Confabulations, but his staff of nurses and elder care experts keep stopping him:

Surrounded by protective aides who want to minimize the chances of a flub, the 81-year-old president has chafed at restraints that he sees as counter to his natural instincts as a retail politician, a third person familiar with internal discussions said.

He has felt cocooned at times and has been eager to get out more, meet voters face-to-face and take the fight directly to Trump...

Sure, sure. The man who can barely walk and who naps for 18 hours a day really wants to get out there and expend more energy.

There are signs that some within his party are also losing patience with him.

"Biden stood up in front of the whole world and said, 'I'm ready. I'm the guy who can take down Donald Trump,'" said Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash. "So, he goddamn well better do it. We don't have time for him to be worried about whether or not people are saying things right or the poll numbers are where they should be. I want focused energy and not defensive anger."

The media treats "go**amn" as if it's acceptable language. But they'll shriek if you correctly gender Dylan Mulvaney and Will "Lia" Thompson.

Biden has on occasion directed his ire at his tightknit senior staff. Given the successes he has had in passing consequential bills and improving the economy, Biden was irritated that his message wasn't sinking in with the broader electorate, the sources said.

LOL. Don't stroke out, dude.

At times, Biden gets suggestions that conflict with one another. Some advisers have told him he should walk faster out of concern that his gait feeds impressions that he's too old. And yet the White House is sufficiently worried about him tripping that he has taken to boarding Air Force One via a shorter staircase through the belly of the plane, forgoing the iconic image of the president waving from the main doorway high above the tarmac.

"He's probably a little mad at himself for not being more forceful with the staff," a person familiar with internal discussions said.

Oh, I hear he's plenty "forceful" with his staff, raging at them with senile impotence.

Privately, Biden questions whether he should trust his gut instincts over the guidance coming from the array of advisers tending to his political interests, this person added.

...

A consensus of Democratic officials is that Biden needs an army of surrogates to spread the word that his record has improved American lives in concrete ways. He can't carry the message alone.

Joe Biden thinks he's done such a good job as president that the man who routinely denigrated him as a "f*ck up" would totally be jelly.

President Biden doesn't speak frequently with Barack Obama -- but behind closed doors, he talks about him a lot.

Why it matters: Biden often measures himself against the man he served as vice president, current and former aides say. It's a complex relationship in which there is a rivalry -- particularly on Biden's side.

"Obama would be jealous," Biden sometimes says when speaking about a perceived accomplishment, according to two Biden aides familiar with such instances.

The competitive dynamic has informed Biden's approach to several issues -- including how he's dealt with Afghanistan, Israel and Congress.

...

Driving the news: Biden's range of feelings about Obama is apparent in the recently released transcript of Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Biden's handling of classified documents.

Unprompted, Biden told Hur about the wounding experience of Obama favoring Hillary Clinton over him to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016.

Biden recalled that "a lot of people ... were encouraging me to run in this period, except the president .... He just thought that [Clinton] had a better shot of winning the presidency than I did."

Biden privately has told aides that he believed he could have beaten Donald Trump if he had run in 2016.

Biden speaks more often with former President Bill Clinton than Obama, the Washington Post has reported.

...

The intrigue: Many longtime Biden aides have long felt that Obama and his team did not fully appreciate Biden's experience with foreign policy, Congress and grip-and-grin politicking -- and were disrespectful.

Many strong relationships remain between Biden and Obama worlds, but there is some hostility.

One former Biden aide told Axios: "The Obama people thought Biden would suck as president. They didn't think he'd be organized enough to execute."

So that's how you see yourselves, huh? Fascinating.

Some Biden aides resent the large number of Obama veterans Biden and his top aides decided to bring into the current administration at levels above people who had worked with Biden for much longer.

"We do have too many Obama people who don't care about Joe Biden. It's about them," one former White House official told Axios.

Obama himself acknowledged in 2021 the overlap between his team and Biden's, telling The New York Times, "Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job ... 90% of the folks who were there in my administration, they are continuing and building on the policies we talked about."

This has created tension between the two camps ahead of the 2024 election -- especially when some Obama-era operatives offer advice.

...

Zoom in: At times, Biden's competitiveness with Obama has affected how he governs. He's tried to correct for what he sees as the former president's mistakes and shortcomings.

Biden was adamant about withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in 2021 -- in part because he felt vindicated that Obama should have followed his advice in 2009 to largely withdraw them then.

When talking about lobbying Obama against surging troops to Afghanistan in 2009, Biden told Hur that he was trying to "quite frankly, save his ass."

Biden ordered a withdrawal from Afghanistan in his first months as president. The chaos at the end of that operation -- including the killing of 13 U.S. service members -- was the lowest moment of Biden's presidency for many in the administration.

Biden White House officials also recall there was a push to "go big" in early 2021 with their first legislative package -- the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which included COVID aid and expansions of the social safety net.

That was partly because they believed Obama hadn't gotten enough money approved for the $787 billion Recovery Act during the 2009 financial crisis.

And that worked out great, huh?

David Strom quotes Nate Silver, making the case that Democrats really are losing blacks and Hispanics, but Democrats are pretending all the polls are "skewed."

Silver was commenting on the below Twitter thread, noting various polls showing Biden's loss of support among minorities:

Shock Study: "Woke" People Are More Neurotic, Depressed, Miserable, and Mentally Ill

The deuce you say!

Psychological researchers in Finland have created an assessment to help measure an individual's commitment to principles of social justice and made some surprising findings across the Finnish population -- including a negative correlation between progressive ideals and levels of happiness.

Their findings, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, suggest other Western nations may see similar patterns among their socially conscious citizens.

Study author Oskari Lahtinen, a senior researcher at the INVEST Research Flagship Centre at the University of Turku, remarked that the "woke" discourse has since worked its way into Finnish discourse.

...

In the end, their final Critical Social Justice Attitude Scale identified seven truisms of woke people:

"If white people have on average a higher level of income than black people, it is because of racism."

"University reading lists should include fewer white or European authors."

"Microaggressions should be challenged often and actively."

"Trans* women who compete with women in sports are not helping women's rights." (reverse scored)

"We don't need to talk more about the color of people's skin."

"A white person cannot understand how a black person feels equally well as another black person."

"A member of a privileged group can adopt features or cultural elements of a less privileged group." (reverse scored)

"The gender divide was probably most surprising to me," Lahtinen told PsyPost of Finnish attitudes. "Three out of five women view 'woke' ideas positively, but only one out of seven men."

This was especially true of women in fields such as social sciences, education, and humanities. By contrast, participants who worked in STEM were more likely to critique social justice efforts associated with being woke.

However, the most concerning finding was the relationship between mental health and agreement with the scale. Specifically, researchers found a high prevalence of anxiety and depression in people who believe the statement "If white people have on average a higher income than black people, it is because of racism." More broadly, they found that those who identified as left-wing were most likely to report lower mental well-being.

In very much related news: Based on current trends, more and more women will be single and childless every year through at least 2030, and women will continue experiencing depression and mental illness at increasing levels.

Feminism -- Marxism for Gurlz (TM) -- is viral mental illness and misery.

Netanyahu to Chuck Schumer: Drop Dead

As you probably know, Israel is on the verge of wiping Hamas off the face of the map, if I can use Hamas' words to describe their own peril.

As Israel is about to enter Hamas' last redoubt, Rafah, and exterminate these terror-roaches once and for all, the Marxist transnationalists are in a frenzy to pressure Israel to spare Hamas and keep the terrorist government in place.

Chuck Schumer joined this frenzy last week, demanding that Israel -- an independent country, in case you didn't know -- hold snap elections so that Netanyahu can be voted out of office and Hamas saved for future use by the Marxist transnationalist Regime.

Professor William Jacobsen rails against Schumer's vile terrorist protection policy. And Schumer is adopting a pro-terrorist policy to appease the pro-terrorists "newcomer" voters of the Democrat Party.

It's disgusting what he did. It's pandering. It's pandering to the anti-Israel Democratic base, the pro-Hamas vote in Michigan. It is the worst thing he could possibly have done because he's trying to divide the Jewish community. He knows there's in the American Jewish community, which is overwhelmingly liberal, he knows there's some dislike for Netanyahu. And what he's trying to do, he's trying to separate Israel and Netanyahu, which has been Biden administration policy. I wrote about this about two weeks ago, that's where they're going to distinguish. 'Well, we hate Netanyahu, but we love Israel.' Well, they're in the middle of a war, okay?

And why do they hate Netanyahu so much right now? It's because he's refusing to capitulate to the American President and the American Secretary of State who want Hamas to survive. They do. You can't read their actions any other way.

Hamas now exists only in Rafa, four battalions by all counts, which is thousands of Hamas fighters. That's where the leadership is. That's where the hostages are. And all of American policy for the last two to three weeks, maybe month, has been to try to bully Israel into not finishing off Hamas. And now Chuck Schumer steps in and picks up that cudgel and he hits Netanyahu over the head. And why is he hitting net over the head? Is because he's been too uncompromising.

I think there's going to be a huge, there is a huge backlash to this. I think what Schumer did is disgraceful. He's trying to walk it back.

Did Schumer try to walk it back? Sort of, yes, he did attempt to soften his demand for regime change in an allied nation.

Now he's saying he's not necessarily saying that there should be a regime change... just that Israel hold a snap election so that there can be a regime change, or at least a "discussion" about a regime change:

Chuck Schumer
@SenSchumer

The U.S. cannot dictate the outcome of an election.

That is for the Israeli public to decide.

As a democracy, Israel has the right to choose its own leaders.

But the important thing is that Israelis are given a choice.

There needs to be a fresh debate about the future.

Back to William Jacobsen:

Too late, Chuck, you will not walk it back. Your legacy will be that you betrayed not just the Jewish people, but you betrayed Western civilization and your own country with these comments at a critical moment in history. Because let's face it, the people Israel is fighting in Gaza and elsewhere are enemies of the United States. They are enemies of Western civilization.

What they did on October 7th, they would do to us in a heartbeat if they could. And Chuck Schumer is fighting to prevent them from being destroyed. It's disgraceful. He will never live this down.

Audio of Jacobsen's statement at the link. He delivered this rant on the Tony Katz radio show.

Netanyahu has likewise counter-attacked the pro-Hamas senator, noting that Israel is on the verge of achieving its war aims -- and thus bringing about the peace that Schumer claims to want -- but Schumer wants Hamas' war on Jewish civilians to go on for another 1000 years.

As we have reported, Democrats have been throwing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under the bus. They seem to be so desperate to appeal to the folks on the left in their party that they've lost the plot when it comes to Israel. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called for regime change against Netanyahu. Joe Biden called it a "good" speech, that Netanyahu was hurting more than helping, and there were reports that his White House was trying to force Netanyahu out. Then, on Sunday, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) also talked smack against him, claiming that he'd interfered in our elections in a bizarre attack when, indeed, it was the Obama administration that had interfered in Israeli elections against Netanyahu.

But Netanyahu had a few things to say about the situation and the Democrats in response during an interview with Pete Hegseth on "Fox and Friends."

He explained that Israel wasn't going to back off on going into Rafah and that the only thing that has made Hamas release hostages is continued military pressure. He said that they had destroyed 19 of Hamas' 24 battalions and that asking them not to go into Rafah right now (something Biden said he was against and was a "red line" for him) was like telling the allies during World War II not to go into Berlin. "That's ridiculous," Netanyahu said, saying it would allow Hamas to repeat their attacks on his country.

He said they had already effectively had a "two-state solution" with Gaza, and Hamas used that to launch the attack on Israel on Oct. 7, that to give them such a state after that attack would be the "greatest reward for terrorism in history." He also noted that they voted 99 to 9 against the imposition of a two-state solution on Israel, noting that the vast majority of the Israeli public was against it and in support of going into Rafah.

Netanyahu sort of had a little smile on his face when Hegseth brought up the question of what Schumer and Biden had said. Then, he completely took down Schumer.

I think Schumer's statements are wholly inappropriate. I think we're not a banana republic. The people of Israel will choose when they'll have elections, who they elect, and it's not something that will be foisted upon us. It's wrong to try to replace the elected leaders of a sister democracy and a staunch American ally at any time, but especially during the time of war.

Just imagine that, after 9/11, and when you're in the midst of fighting Al Qaeda, and winning. People would say, some Israeli would say, "Oh, the right thing to do is not to have new elections in America or have President Bush resign." It's inappropriate. Shouldn't have been said. It's wrong."

In fairness to Schumer and his fellow Democrats -- they did call for Bush to be impeached for being too anti-Al-Qadea.

Video of Netanyahu's appearance on Fox & Friends at the link.

In further news, the Regime propaganda world media attempted to wishcast a ceasefire into existence by claiming Hamas had agreed to a "framework" for a ceasefire. Hamas then contradicted the propaganda media and said no, we haven't agreed to any ceasefire or any framework to a ceasefire.

This represents yet another expression of progressives' "translation" of terrorist statements, to ventriloquize progressive dream statements into the mouths of terrorists. Osama bin Ladin says he will kill the Jew and the infidel wherever he finds them; the leftwing propaganda Regime media reports "Osama bin Ladin says he will never stop fighting for a Single Payer health insurance system."

And in another disgusting example of the Marxist transnationalists saving Hamas -- Qatar offered to expel the Hamas terror leaders that they are sheltering/protecting from Israeli terror-hunters as well as any other nations who might want to bring them up on charges.

Incredibly, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said "no" -- you keep on providing safe haven to the Terror Lords. We want them to be safe!

From the Times of Israel:

WASHINGTON -- Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani proposed expeling Hamas's leaders from Doha during a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken days after the terror group's October 7 onslaught, two officials familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on Wednesday.

Thani... then asked whether it was time for the US to ask Qatar to expel the Hamas's leaders, the two officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

...

When Blinken began his own remarks, he didn't respond directly to the emir's proposal but did go on to say that he thought it would be better for Qatar to use its contacts with Hamas -- through the office it allowed the terror group to establish in Doha in 2012 at Washington's behest -- to mediate between the Gaza war parties to secure a hostage deal, the officials recalled.

Aderbis Segundo Pirela Pirela, a top fugitive on Interpol and Colombian National Police lists, was apprehended in New Braunfels. He faces serious charges for multiple crimes, including murder, drug trafficking, and extortion in Colombia.

Details regarding his entry into the U.S. and his stay in New Braunfels remain unknown.

The arrest of Aderbis Segundo Pirela Pirela in New Braunfels highlights a glaring gap in the Biden administration's border security and immigration policies. The fact that a highly dangerous individual, wanted internationally for grave crimes, could enter and reside in the United States undetected poses serious questions about the effectiveness of border control and immigration vetting processes. Pirela Pirela's presence in the U.S., linked to at least four murders, drug trafficking, and extortion, underlines a critical lapse in national security measures. This incident not only exposes the vulnerabilities in monitoring and tracking individuals who pose a potential threat but also reflects a broader issue of inadequate enforcement and oversight within the current immigration system.

Further complicating the matter is the lack of transparency regarding how Pirela Pirela managed to enter the United States and the duration of his stay before being apprehended.
