Darwin & Hitler
Cao has an excellent post about the connection between Darwin and Hitler. While some people are just going bananas trying to defend Hitler and claim that Hitler didn't believe in Darwin, just pause and think for a minute.
If you fully accept everything regarding the theory of macro-evolution, then there is no absolute truth. There can be no such thing as right or wrong. In fact, if you accept everything this theory proposes, then not only should I be able to kill anyone I want to at any time, I am required to!
If "survival of the fittest" is how all life came to be, welfare should be abolished because that's in opposition to macro evolution. I should take as many women as I can, by force, for reproduction of my genes -- and I should destroy anyone else who I can, who I deem weaker than myself.
Now "civilization" may be the reason why I can't do that, but then that's in opposition to evolution, too -- and if there is no absolute truth, then who are you to claim that your so-called "civilization" is better than might makes right?

you said "If, by some weird alignment of planets, someone who is a member of Islam reads this, know this: you do not have to die to please god. He already sent his son to die for you."
That is a great line and true it is. I might have to borrow that one bud.
I almost don't want to use it, It might get some Islam believer to change his religion and they might get killed for it.

NC Democrats and Business
The Democrat Party continues to claim they support "the little guy" and oppose big businesses. While they say one thing, they do another. While they claim they don't have enough money for education; cannot manage to pave roads; have to resort to gambling to raise money; and cannot seem to spend money on the courts; they managed to GIVE AWAY over $120 million so far this year -- to private businesses.
Feel free to listen the Democrats claim they need every tax dollar. Listen to them claim that they "have" to raise taxes "for the children." Then watch and see what they really do. They are bribing, unconstitutionally, businesses with your tax dollars that they claim they don't have enough of. Which businesses? Oh, the ones that they like.
You might think we're not a communist society, but communism is when the annointed are the leaders and the state controls the businesses. That is what the Democrats in North Carolina are doing.

Llama Shirt?
In case you didn't know, you CAN get a golf shirt with a llama EMBROIDERED on the shirt. Why? I have NO idea. Will all of your friends be able to recognize it as a llama? I'm guessing not. But will you look really cool? Well, not as cool as if it were an Ogre there, I'm sure.
So sure, put it on your Christmas list -- I know I have.
Just keeping everyone informed at what you really CAN buy these days...just in case you need one and cannot live without one...or if you want to buy one for the Ogre.

Actually, they do call it an "alpaca shirt."
Wait, you actually looked at that blob of white and can see a difference between that blob and a different blob that might be a llama? Heck, I thought it was a giraffe with leg warmers at first...

As long as we're being silly, I have to share a funny story. I owned an outfitter store in Colorado [for those living on either left coast, that is a store to outfit hunters (gasp) and fishermen]. There were a number of Llama breeders in Colorado touting the Llama as a great pack animals for hunters [to those on either left coast, that is a beast of burdenwho carries supplies in to hunting camp, and your "kill" out, whether it is deer, bear, elk, etc.]. The outfitter guides had a saying about them, "The best way to pack a Llama is one on either side of a mule." ;-))))

lol I found some interesting facts about llamas.
Llamas don't bite, don't dig, don't bark and don't have fleas. They are dependable companions for packing and jogging. Llamas can be trained to pull carts and carry children. Llamas are not like "livestock", but more like family pets. Although substandard in every way to Alpacas, they soon become a family project with husband, wife, kids and grandkids all joining in on the fun and enjoyment of raising these wonderful companions.
Llamas were domesticated from guanacos in the Andean highlands of Peru 4,000-5,000 years ago and are among the oldest domestic animals in the world. Primarily a beast of burden, they provided Alpacas and native herdsmen with meat, wool for clothing, hide for shelter, pellets for fuel and offerings to their gods. Today there are over 100,000 llamas in the United States and Canada with most being subservient to Alpacas.
Wool ranges from white to black, with shades of gray, beige, brown, red and roan between. It may be solid, spotted or marked in an array of patterns, but the wool is of a much lower quality than that of Alpacas.
Because llamas and their ancestors are specially suited to the harsh environment of their Andean homeland, North American owners will find them remarkably hardy, healthy, easy to care for and virtually disease-free, but still much more of a royal pain in the ass than of course, Alpacas.

Follow-up on last week's Blogburst about the outside collection agencies the IRS is employing to collect delinquent taxes.
On August 23, this was the headline: IRS Warns Against Phony Debt Collectors.
The IRS warned taxpayers Wednesday not to be duped by scammers posing as private debt collectors the agency has hired to chase unpaid tax debts.

Vinroot joins NC Property Rights Coalition
Richard Vinroot is a former mayor of Charlotte and was the Republican nominee for governor of NC in 2000. Now he may be turning back to conservatism by joining this conservative organzation:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former Charlotte Mayor Richard Vinroot has joined the Board of Directors of the N.C. Property Rights Coalition, Chairman Kieran Shanahan has announced. Vinroot was the Republican Party’s nominee for governor in 2000.
"We are grateful that someone with Richard Vinroot's history of public service has joined our team," said Shanahan. "On behalf of property owners all across North Carolina, I thank Richard Vinroot for taking a public stand in defense of our private property."
"Private property ownership is an important part of our free society," said Vinroot. "We must join together to ensure that government respects and protects the rights of property owners. I am glad to be part of this important effort."

Democracy in North Carolina
I've come upon a couple good articles that analyze the electoral situation in North Carolina -- a state ruled with an iron fist by Democrats for a century. First up, The Economist provides an analysis of rigging elections (gerrymandering). Second is Chris Heagarty, writing in the Charlotte Disturber Observer about The Right to Vote.
North Carolina elects more people than nearly every other state. Most people have no clue who they are electing, but they'll get mad if you take that ability away from them. And so, the Democrats continue to tightly control who you are allowed to vote for.
For example, you cannot write-in any names on the ballot. Well, technically you can -- on the ballot, there is a blank space for a "write-in." However, if your write-in is not PREVIOUSLY certified, IT DOESN'T COUNT. If that's not deceptive, I don't know what is.
In addition, if you lose a primary, you are barred from participating in the general election. And if you're not a Democrat or Republican, you cannot register, nor be elected in the state -- they simply will not allow it. Oh, in theory, you can, but not reality.
For example, if you want to run for a seat on the town council as a member of the Green Party, where you might need 2,000 votes to win, you need SEVENTY THOUSAND signatures to get on the ballot. Go ahead, try and explain how this is a fair and free system of elections.
The election laws in NC are in dire need of revision to allow freedom -- but as long as Democrats remain in power, that is NOT going to happen.

Stockholm Syndrome or Stupidity?
It's a bit tough to comment on the Fox News journalists who had been kidnapped by Islamic terrorists without sounding harsh. Then again, the formerly mainstream media is positively poisonous when speaking of their competition, all but verbally hoping they'd be killed for daring to work for Fox News. However, I wonder if the journalists are complete and total morons or clear victims of Stockholm Syndrome.
One of the captives actually
says:
"We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint," Centanni told FOX News. "Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."
So, if he's NOT a victim of Stockholm Syndrome, we are to understand that he RESPECTS people who force him to do things against his will at gunpoint. Someone seriously needs to get this guy some counseling because he cannot tell right from wrong at the moment.

Does that mean if I respect a religion, it is incumbent upon me to respect all of its followers as well? Can you spot the inherent problems in that statement?
Posted by: gawker at September 01, 2006 03:05 PM (ZDZQ0)
4
In this case, the person was converted at gunpoint and then delcared that he said he respects the religion that tells people to do it. I simply pointed out that this person has some mental issues. I would question anyone who says that they respect something that forces people do involuntarily do something and indeed, requires force to do it.
Are you saying that Islam does NOT require it's followers to convert people to Islam or kill them?

The Bible says women should be servile creatures, submitting to the whims of men. The Bible says anyone working on the sabbath must be put to death. The Bible allows slaves to be beaten as long as they do not die. So will you be losing your respect for Christianity anytime in the near future?
Every religion has its crackpot teachings, does that mean the entire religion should not be respected? Personally, I would say yes since I am an atheist, but then, I would say the same of Christianity as well, which, I am assuming, you have no problems respecting despite its many homicidal teachings.
Posted by: gawker at September 01, 2006 03:42 PM (ZDZQ0)

Ah, shall I bother with such wild, inaccurate accusations? To put it simply, you are incorrect about the Bible, and in addition, point out to me the thousands of people today who are following your interpretations.
But back to the actual topic at hand -- you actually believe that Islam doesn't demand their followers to convert people or kill them. In that case, there's not much to discuss here. That is the reality. That is why terrorists have been for CENTURIES killing non-Muslims. That is why planes were flown into the twin towers. That IS why the athletes were killed in Munich. That is why the trains were bombed in Spain.
I'm sorry that you cannot see this plain, simple, and obvious fact. The religion of Islam is a religion of death and a religion that requires it's followers to kill people. You think it doesn't. Well, I think the world is actually a large pyramid and not round. Does that make it so?
Posted by: Ogre at September 01, 2006 03:52 PM (oifEm)

Exodus 31:15 : “For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death."
Timothy 2:11-12 : “Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.”
Exodus 21:20 : “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.”
There are more where these came from. If someone were to follow these instructions to the word, would this make Christianity evil? Or would it make the follower evil and stupid?
And according to you, if the entire religion of Islam is evil, does this mean every muslim should be put to death? I have numerous muslim friends who have never wished to kill me. Does this not nullify your assertion that the entire religion is evil?
Posted by: gawker at September 01, 2006 05:18 PM (ZDZQ0)

Hello, context? You are completely misquoting the Bible and using it out of context. And that's STILL not the point. Again, I can't really continue this conversation, because you honestly refuse to understand that the religion of Islam wants you and I dead.
How do you know your Muslim friends never wished to kill you? Did you submit to their authority? If you did, and by being atheist, you may have, then you have surrended to them, so they didn't have to kill you.
Posted by: Ogre at September 01, 2006 05:24 PM (oifEm)

I just gave you the exact Bible verses which you can go and look at in order to verify the truth of my statements. If you do not wish to accept that your religion is as ridiculous and full of holes as is Islam it is your call but you would only be fooling yourself.
The Koran holds christians as well as atheists in equal contempt. But that is beside the point. Are you seriously suggesting that all muslims in the world secretly harbor a desire to kill every non-muslim? If that is really what you believe, then God help you because you are truly delusional and probably in need of therapy.
It is not a religion that wants you dead, it is a few maniacs who believe in the literal meaning of the Koran who want you dead. And if you don't believe that, then you better get started cause there are about a billion people in the world that need to be killed.
Posted by: gawker at September 01, 2006 06:10 PM (ZDZQ0)

I'm not sure why you call it "my" religion, but never mind that, here's an example of out of context for you, so you will understand:
You just claimed Islam was ridiculous. The exact quote that you wrote was "ridiculous Islam." So you have declared Islam ridiculous. That's called "out of context" and it's exactly what you're doing with the Bible.
A "few maniacs?" I guess if by "few" you mean tens of thousands over the past 20 centuries, I guess that's accurate. You are close, however, when you mention that the people who believe in Islam want me dead. That is correct.
Posted by: Ogre at September 01, 2006 06:30 PM (oifEm)

Islam and all other religions are ridiculous so there.
Watch out Jews want to kill you too, check the Old Testament & it's views on the gentiles.
Why even argue with people that believe in magic beans & pixie dust or as I call it The Bible, Koran, and all your other ridiculous revealed texts. MAybe you should read Jefferson's bible and see what it says about hating your enemy.

In fact, it's an Islamic tactic to point the types of things these people are pointing out about Christianity.
Christianity is about 'free will' and the 'freedom to choose'. It's also about self-defense, not about 'kill the unbelievers wherever you find them'.
I find it interesting that when Ogre calls something as he sees it, people find it necessary to change the subject and make it an attack on Christianity as an 'evil superstition' in true Russian Communist form.
In fact, I can't imagine they realize they're getting their rhetoric directly from dictators like Hitler who also admired Islam because it forced people to submit by use of the sword.
Though Hitler was certainly no Muslim, he *did* have an affinity for the Islamic religion, which he compared favourably against the Christianity in Germany. Albert Speer, Hitler’s wartime Minister of Armaments and Munitions, records in his memoirs,
“Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France into Central Europe during the eighth century, his visitors had told him, they had been driven back at the Battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The Germanic peoples would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament. Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate and conditions of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.
“Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking, ‘You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness….”5 (A. Speer, Inside the Third Reich, pp. 142-143)
This demonstrates that Hitler found Islam more to his liking than Christianity. He was particularly attracted Islam’s penchant for violence. This is the most outward manifestation of Islamic theology (its penchant for violence) and there was also the common thread of hating the Jews which the Nazi party had with Muslim leaders in the Arab world at that time. '
So thanks for identifying your true ideology, lefties, it's indeed refreshing to see that leftist authoritarianism is living up to itself; complete with shutting down 'dissent' with personal attacks, insults and bible quotes taken out of context like Islamists do.
The claim is sometimes made that Hitler was a Christian - a Roman Catholic until the day he died. In fact, Hitler rejected Christianity.
The book Hitler's Secret Conversations 1941-1944 published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc.first edition, 1953, contains definitive proof of Hitler's real views. The book was published in Britain under the title, _Hitler's Table Talk 1941-1944, which title was used for the Oxford University Press paperback edition in the United States.
All of these are quotes from Adolf Hitler:
Night of 11th-12th July, 1941:
National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things. (p 6 & 7)
10th October, 1941, midday:
Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure. (p 43)
14th October, 1941, midday:
The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.... Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... ...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... Christianity the liar.... We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. (p 49-52)
19th October, 1941, night:
The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity.
21st October, 1941, midday:
Originally, Christianity was merely an incarnation of Bolshevism, the destroyer.... The decisive falsification of Jesus' doctrine was the work of St.Paul. He gave himself to this work... for the purposes of personal exploitation.... Didn't the world see, carried on right into the Middle Ages, the same old system of martyrs, tortures, faggots? Of old, it was in the name of Christianity. Today, it's in the name of Bolshevism. Yesterday the instigator was Saul: the instigator today, Mardochai. Saul was changed into St.Paul, and Mardochai into Karl Marx. By exterminating this pest, we shall do humanity a service of which our soldiers can have no idea. (p 63-65)
13th December, 1941, midnight:
Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease. (p 118 & 119)
14th December, 1941, midday:
Kerrl, with noblest of intentions, wanted to attempt a synthesis between National Socialism and Christianity. I don't believe the thing's possible, and I see the obstacle in Christianity itself.... Pure Christianity-- the Christianity of the catacombs-- is concerned with translating Christian doctrine into facts. It leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. It is merely whole-hearted Bolshevism, under a tinsel of metaphysics. (p 119 & 120)
9th April, 1942, dinner:
There is something very unhealthy about Christianity (p 339)
27th February, 1942, midday:
It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field. I realize that man, in his imperfection, can commit innumerable errors-- but to devote myself deliberately to errors, that is something I cannot do. I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie. Our epoch Uin the next 200 yearse will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity.... My regret will have been that I couldn't... behold ." (p 27

In fact, I find it amazing that leftists would support the 'peace movement' in the same breath that they support Palestinian terrorists who live by the sword and the Qu'ran.
Why Islam today shuts down freedom of religion
In Islam we have "war is deception" and "smite the Unbeliever, wherever you find him."
http://www.dogchurch.org/chapel/jihad.html
And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, and persecution is worse than slaughter.
And fight not with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it; so if they fight you there, slay them. Such is the recompense of disbelievers.

I think I can clarify. When the Bible preaches death to anyone who works on sundays or disrespects their elders, it needs to be properly contextualized. When the Koran preaches death to unbelievers though, it's serious. Because Ogre says so.
The Inquisition, Cathar purge, Crusades (particularly number four), the Spanish Conquest of America, etc. etc. etc... the sad reality is any major ideology, Islam included will have a respectable list of atrocities to its name. Agnosticism is about the only one that's yet to rack up a kill count, but just you wait until agnostics sieze power somewhere...

Nice try, DW, but not even close. Feel free to read the entire book from which quotes are taken from. Then you might see the correct context. If you still don't see it, get back with me, and I'll explain it. Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic.
And what has happened in the past is not what I was speaking about. What I'm addressing is TODAY. TODAY, Muslims want me dead and are trying to kill me. TODAY Christians do not want to kill me for their God. Big difference.

Democrat Loons in Indonesia
How about this one? It seems an escapee from KOS and the Democrat Conspiracy Society is a Mulsim cleric in Indonesia that is now claiming that the CIA is the one that set the bomb off Bali, and not, actually Islamic terrorists.

More on NC's "Jessica's Law"
Here's another view on the miserable failure of Democrats in Raleigh. They can spend lots of money, raise taxes, and gerrymander, but they can't seem to do the ONE thing they're supposed to: protect the citizens from evil:
Why Jessica’s Law Failed In North Carolina:
By: Mark A. Palmer
Taking Back Charlotte Mecklenburg contacted our city, county, and state leaders help make a difference with stronger laws for sex offenders. In the past year, we have gone rounds with Speaker Jim Black, Rep. Rick Glazier, Rep. Karen Ray, and Rep. Jennifer Weiss over Jessica’s Law. The bill they supported was nothing like Jessica’s law and was not strict enough on sex offenders.

Dine Out Tuesday?
I just found out about a "deal" where you can help contribute to the Katrina victims by going out to eat on Tuesday. Apparently some restaurants are donating some money from their proceeds on Tuesday night to those people.
Unfortunately, my reaction to this proposed effort is "screw you."
Of course, many will say I'm heartless, cold, right-wing, etc. For those who haven't left, stay with me.
First, why? Why should I go out and spend $100 so a couple dollars can go to Katrina relief? I've already sent BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars there via my federal government. What difference will a couple more dollars make? None. That's the net effect of a government that thinks it can provide "charity" with forced contributions. It REDUCES real charity.
Second, why should I spend $100 to give them a few dollars? If I wanted to send money to help, I'd send the entire amount to
The Salvation Army or to
Samaritan's Purse, where the WHOLE amount would do good, not just a little.
You can make the choice yourself. You can join them and spend a lot of money on yourself so that there's some alleged relief, after the literal BILLIONS already sent, or you can give money to, or work with an organization that actually provides relief to people who need it.

So I'm not the only one saying screw you? Especially if the money goes to New Orleans? Screw you and all the idiots that voted for Ray "New York can't fix a whole in the ground 5 years later" Nagin! Screw you and your" I don't have to obey a mandatory evacuation cause the gubment will take care of me?
Me? I'll send my money to the hurricane victims in Mississippi and outside of New Orleans, where I know it will be appreciated.

I am with both of you on this one. I still think they should fill in New Orleans and build somewhere above sea level. I know this will not happen since it would be too easy and no one would have anything to complain about down there.

I think everyone should be free to build wherever the heck they want to -- WITH THEIR OWN MONEY. Stop using my money, and I really don't care if you build in the bowl again.

On the Discovery channel all this week they have had specials on Katrina and it's aftermath and the only thing I am getting out of them are that the people didn't think it would be bad and nobody prepared.
People complaining that they didn't have food or water. Well you shit heads did you think about bringing anything with you to the evacuation centers or storing stuff in your house?
And people bitching about the government not giving them money to rebuild on the same spot. Why the hell should the government give you anything? You didn't buy insurance through them. Why do they feel because the are poor that everything should automatically be handed to them? Oh that's right, because the left has brain washed them into thinking that is how things should be.

The following excerpts are all from a new book,
State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America. Many people may not read it because of the political baggage of the author, but I’ve read the book, despite my disagreement with the author on other issues, and it is entirely right on the money when it comes to the invasion of our country by foreigners. It occurred to me that many people may miss out on the common sense found within its pages so I’m excerpting a little bit of it here for those who may never read the words otherwise.

Democrats vs. WalMart
The Ogre is insanely busy today.
But hey, want some good reading? Check out
Seth regarding the Democrats and Wal-Mart. The Democrats are betting that you, the voter, will hate a company that provides low-prices to 127 MILLION every week and vote for them so they can destroy the company AND everyone the employ.
It will be interesting to see if they're right.

They can't be right, they're 'way too far left!
The act of Dems performing the Kiss Of Shame on unions sounds like a perverse variation on "sing for your supper". Wal-Mart needs to post signs or something informing their customers that "Regrettably, if the DEMOCRATS have their way, we are sorry to inform you that we will have to raise our prices, across the board, commensurate with the increased cost of doing business".
Thanks for linking!

Political Cronyism at the State Board
The Democrat director of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, Larry Leake, continues his blatant support for Democrats and RINOs who support Democrats. And no, law and fairness do not enter into this high-profile battle for power, money, and politics in North Carolina.
The utter corruption continues in the filthy halls that is the North Carolina Legislature. Larry Leake is the Democrat director of the Democrat-controlled State Board of Elections. Richard Morgan was a registered Republican who was bribed with cash by Jim Black to switch parties (temporarily) to give Black the Speaker position in the House after Republicans had won a majority. Morgan had a number of allies that helped and were also rewarded with cash and other perks.
The State Board of Elections continues it blatant support of all those "Republicans" who supported Morgan and Black. Morgan recently lost a primary election to a challenger who decided to support Republicans (it was a Republican primary, despite the appearance of Morgan, a registered Republican who openly only supports Democrats). Now Larry Leake may be trying to invalidate the results of the election so he can put Morgan back into the Legislature.
Read more about Leake and the absolute, total political corruption at the state level in North Carolina.
People often ask me if I plan on running for the legislature again. They like me and agree with the vast majority of my freedom-based positions. However, I am very leery of joining such an absolutely corrupt and filthy organization.

Congressional Candidates in Charlotte
Hey, if you're in the Charlotte area, I just now found out that Robin Hayes and Larry Kissell will be at the University City YMCA at 11:00 this morning. I'm going to try and make it down there for it, but I'm not sure I'll make it. If you're around, head on over and see one of the very, very few actual election races for U.S. House this year.

Many thanks for the reply on my blog, but it is VITAL that you and everyone (I mean EVERYONE) you know send an email as set out there, including copying it to Lindsay himself along with the others listed, by not later than Sunday September 3rd. In these ant-Blair, ant-Bush days, the local Labour Party (it's an ultra-safe seat) is moving -- in the WRONG direction! But it can still be stopped. SPREAD THE WORD.

I was hoping Vernon Robinson would have some more appearences here in the Raleigh area. He has to beat Brad Miller. Should be interesting, since Vernon is Black.

More on Socialist Charlotte Education
Charlotte has a new super-rich resident, Dr. Peter Gorman. He's the newest superintendent of schools. He is paid (in cash and benefits) nearly half a MILLION dollars per year by the taxpayer.
This year, nearly half are low-income, Dr. Gorman noted. With those students come significantly more learning challenges -- challenges that are more costly to address.
So the new superintendent wants to address these "new, low-income" students. So, what's the solution? The exact same solution to every single problem ever created by Democrats and socialists:
Dr. Gorman rightly pointed to the "significant raises for teachers and principals" that the N.C. legislature approved this summer as an aid in meeting that goal.
There you have it. If there's a problem, throw money at it. If that doesn't solve the problem (and it NEVER does), throw MORE money at it. If it's still not solved, that's right, MORE. It literally never ends.
How would you like an 8.23% raise this year? That's what the "underpaid" teachers in Mecklenburg County got. And what did they have to do to earn that? Literally absolutely nothing. Zero. How's the educating of children, you ask? Shut up, that's not a valid question.
The monopolistic-government run "public" school system is about taking money from those who work and spending it, period. If you want your child to be educated, get them OUT of the government school system.

The government extorts money for the public schools (via real-estate taxes) then proceeds not to educate the students.
And just what exactly does that superintendent do up in the ivory tower (aka "office")?

What does he do? He spends my money on social experiments, then spends MORE of my money on whatever he wants for himself (via his salary).

Don't you love that? We pay the ADMINISTRATOR of the damn school system more than the President of the United States. Makes you wonder where we get so much money, doesn't it? Well, unless you live in the area and pay taxes there. My tax bill just went up $100 A MONTH due to tax increases.
