Hiding Drugs Okay
If you're a drug dealer, today is a good day for you. The North Carolina court of appeals has ruled that it's okay to hide drugs under your balls because police aren't allowed to search for drugs there, even if you're a convicted drug dealer in a known drug area acting nervous because you're dealing and carrying drugs.
Yes, the court actually ruled it was unreasonable to look down a man's pants for drugs, even when that man has given consent to a search and has numerous prior convictions for dealing drugs (and yet is still on the street).
I think this also illustrates the complete and utter failure of the war on drugs. How many thousands of taxpayer dollars were spent on this case? How much money was spent by the taxpayer on police salaries, court costs, jail costs, and public defender costs on this ONE case, which has now been ruled completely useless? But don't worry -- the case might be appealed, in which case we can spend even MORE taxpayer money on this case!
Folks, we've lost the war. It's time to surrender. The war on drugs is a waste of time and money. If people want to kill themselves with drugs, GOVERNMENT has no role in stopping them. If people do other illegal things while under the influence of drugs, certainly, punish them. Otherwise, stop wasting my time and money!

So time to conceal all my drugs behind "Mr. Happy" because the cops won't search there? I mean...if I did any drugs...which I don't (cough, cough). Really." I'm....I'm just sayin' ......

I agree, let the druggies kill themselves. In fact help them along by putting deadly poison in every shipment of drugs found and send it along. People like to complain about drug dealers but the fact is if there were no users there would be no dealers. Most of those dying of street drugs are worthless anyway.

I was going to add a crack comment, but decided against it.
Knowing where these drugs are coming from now is enough to make anyone quit.
Sounds like the war on drugs is getting desperate.

Fair Tax
by Debbie of The Right Truth
A reader here at Right Truth, Ralph Ekwall, who doesn't like the Fair Tax sent me an email. He seemed to think that I would not be interested in hearing his opinions, but that could not be further from the truth. I think healthy debate is good and encourage it. Below are his arguments and our reply:

Go, Tom, Go!
Is Tom Tancredo running for president? I predict now that if he runs, and if the Republican "leadership" doesn't oppose him, he will win in a landslide. Why? Because his issue is illegal immigration -- and he, unlike ANYONE currently in Washington, D.C., actually opposes illegals and supports America.

Another NC Tax
Apparently raising taxes by over a billion dollars AND adding hundreds of millions of new spending from the lottery STILL isn't enough money for the state of North Carolina. The latest? A brand-new tax on televisions.
Last legislative session, the Democrats in North Carolina raised taxes on nearly everything they could find: candy, movie tickets, newspapers, cable television, property, income, and dozens of other things. Now, however, they realized they missed adding a tax on televisions and computer monitors. But don't worry, they've realized they forgot that one and they'll be sure to add it next year.
Anyone want to bet if that tax will be increased if Republicans get control of the House? I know if conservatives get control it won't.

Have you seen IIQ illusions and allusions? It's a lovely blog that's decided to advertise here at Ogre's. You can see the link in the upper left side there -- it's the mostly white square. The blog is
Idle feed of thought on politics, sport, technology and those topics of complete inconsequentiality...

This week's Tarheel Tavern has been posted at 2 Sides 2 Ron. Head on over and have a read. For those not familiar with this carnival, it's a round up of posts from and about North Carolina and by Bloggers in North Carolina. It's fun! Go read!
Also posted now is this week's
Carnival of Liberty. If you only read one carnival a week, this one should be it. This is a bunch of posts with one common theme: liberty and the loss of it. Very good reading each and every week.

Book Meme?
I sense a bit of laziness in the memes making the rounds these days. In this case, someone has apparently tried to "tag" me with a meme, but she didn't even officially "tag" me -- she just sent it along. And as for directions, there simply are NONE! How am I supposed to misinterpret the directions if there's no directions for me to follow? Sigh.
Anyway, the questions that have been "sent" to me are all about books. I'm not sure what I'm actually supposed to DO with the questions. In fact, looking back at the post, there aren't even any QUESTIONS. Instead, there are just sentence fragments. How can you answer a sentence fragment? If I asked you, "So, yellow dumptrucks." Would you even bother to answer? Would you know it was a question? Heck, there's not even ONE question mark in that entire post!
Therefore, I shall do this meme, without directions. I shall simply answer every single question that was asked. Here you go:
Phew. Glad that's over.

Miller Brewing Co
Did you catch this sign at the illegal alien "protest" march in Chicago?

Huh. Guess you also might have missed that Miller is now claiming
they voted against illegal immigration before they voted for it. Read that link if you want all the details. If you don't, the simple details are that Miller Brewing Company gave $30,000 to support illegal immigration. They have paid for advertisements to oppose immigration reform laws. They are opposed to America and it's borders.
As reader
Robert notes,
And why shouldn't they? They are owned by South African Breweries. Not an American company.
Coors? Owned by Molson in Canada.
I drink only Anheuser-Busch products when it comes to adult beverages.
I suggest everyone join Robert. And be sure to
let Miller know you're switching.

NC DOT Planning
Jeff Taylor, writing at The Meck Deck describes a possible improvement to the North Carolina Department of Transportation road planning board. They might actually pave the broken roads instead of building roads that no one uses if they used this planning method:

I drink only Anheuser-Busch products when it comes to adult beverages. While they haven't came out and stated their political agenda they are the largest charity providers, they started the "Responsibility while drinking" programs, they are there for our country during times of disasters. giving millions doolars and cans of water to areas in need. they also are a major contributor to the United way, salvation army and red cross.
not to mention they are American Owned. 99% of your money stays in America.

Miller Brewing
Normally Fridays are for silliness, but with the holiday weekend coming up, I thought I'd take a moment and highlight the fact that Miller Brewing Company completely, totally, and financially supports breaking the law and illegal immigrants. Read all the details at Michelle Malkin.

Feel free to join in the
photoshopping yourself. And stay away from all types of Miller Brewery's beer (including Foster's) this weekend (and every day) if you like America -- because Miller will take your money that you spend on their beer and use it to help destroy America's borders.
And
people are writing Miller. Feel free to join in.

ANYTHING For the Children
When the State of North Carolina was working on making gambling legal -- but only if the state does it, of course, their primary argument was that it was "for the children." At the time, one of the signs held up by Republican Representatives in the House read, "Prostitution for Education," trying to point out the absurdity that ANYTHING is permissible if it's "for the children." Well, turns out that's not so absurd, after all.
In Las Vegas, capital of filth, USA, they're
stripping for the children. Since it is NV, it does seem to be highly likely that Brothels For the Children will be next. Why not? "For the Children" STILL works! I can't believe there are that many idiots around, but clearly there are.
Here's a novel idea -- how about the damn government pay for schools, like they're supposed to! If they can't afford it, shut it down! If the government cannot legitimately raise enough money to educate children, they should stop trying. Why should I donate one dime to the schools? I already pay thousands every single year to support them via taxes.
Government is utterly incapable of educating it's citizens. It's time they stopped trying.

Religion of Peace Tries to Kill
Islam is NOT a religion of peace. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. Stop trying to sell that story, because it is a blatant and open LIE. Yet another of hundreds and thousands of stories of people who are killed, or attacked by Islamists for attempting to "leave" that religion of death:
"When Diana's family learned that she had become a Christian, they repeatedly beat her and insisted she return to Islam"
If you do not believe as they direct you to, THEY WANT YOU DEAD.
Yes, it really is that simple. They have given you the option: convert to Islam or die. Your only other choice is to kill them before they kill you.
If, by some weird alignment of planets, someone who is a member of Islam reads this, know this: you do not have to die to please god. He already sent his son to die for you.

Ogre, you intolerant war-mongerer, didn't you know that it is really Christianity that is the religion of hate? After all, Christians teach that people should not lie, cheat, steal, or kill, and teach that the Christian God loves them and wants them to be happy. How horrible right?

I'm sorry. All religions and people are exactly 100% equal and valid and no person has the right to do anything to anyone (unless they're right-wing, Christian, male, or white, in which case they should be oppressed to make up for centuries of repression).
